A Race against Time in Iran’s Secret Cells

In the chilling silence of the Mashhad Intelligence Department, the sound of a telephone ringing is a rare bridge to the outside world.  On the night of December 14, 2025, that bridge materialized for the family of Alieh Motalebzadeh.  The call was short, the speakerphone was on, and a security agent stood over her, monitoring every syllable.

Through the crackle of the line, Motalebzadeh, a renowned journalist and women’s rights activist, delivered a message that was less a greeting and more a desperate medical bulletin.  She had been beaten during her arrest.  She was being held in a facility run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).  Most critically, she was a breast cancer survivor being denied the life-saving medications required to keep her illness in remission.

Motalebzadeh is just one of at least 39 individuals swept up in a violent crackdown on December 12, 2025.  Their “crime” was attending a memorial service for Khosro Alikordi, a human rights lawyer who recently died under suspicious circumstances.  But as the gates of Vakilabad Prison and the Soroush Detention Center closed behind them, the narrative shifted from a story of political protest to a race against biological time.

Among the detainees is Narges Mohammadi, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate whose name has become synonymous with the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement.  Her arrest was not a standard procedure; it was an assault.  According to her family, Mohammadi was struck repeatedly on the head and neck with batons by plainclothes agents.

The violence was so severe that she had to be rushed to an emergency room twice within the first 72 hours of her disappearance.  During the assault, agents reportedly whispered a chilling psychological blow: “We will put your mother into mourning.”  In the vocabulary of the Iranian security apparatus, this is not just an insult; it is a direct death threat.

Mohammadi now faces charges of “cooperating with Israel” — a capital offense often used to justify the “physical elimination” of high-profile dissidents.  For a woman already suffering from heart complications exacerbated by years of intermittent incarceration, the combination of physical trauma and the denial of specialized care transforms her detention into a slow-motion execution.

The cruelty of the Mashhad crackdown is perhaps most visible in the cases of Alieh Motalebzadeh and Pouran Nazemi.  Their stories highlight a recurring tactic of the Iranian state: the use of medical neglect as a form of torture.

Motalebzadeh’s daughter has taken to social media to broadcast her mother’s plight, noting that after three days of enforced disappearance, her mother appeared physically broken.  The “assembly and collusion” charges leveled against her ignore the reality that her primary struggle is no longer political; it is the battle to access the chemotherapy and radiotherapy follow-up care that keeps her alive.

Similarly, the sister of activist Pouran Nazemi has issued a frantic warning.  Nazemi suffers from severe kidney and liver disease.  During a previous stint in prison, she suffered a cardiac arrest after being administered medication she was known to be allergic to.  Today, she sits in a cell without access to her specialized prescriptions.  “The responsibility for the health and life of my sister lies with the mercenaries of the Islamic Republic,” her sister wrote in a statement that has echoed across Iranian digital networks.

Because the Iranian state-controlled media remain silent on the conditions of these women, the truth has emerged through the “digital resistance” of their children and siblings.  On Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), families are posting updates that often disappear after 24 hours due to platform settings or state-pressured deletions.

Marzieh Adinehzadeh, whose 17-year-old brother was killed in the 2022 protests, now posts about her father, Ali Adinehzadeh, who was also arrested at the memorial.  He suffers from heart disease and has been prohibited from making calls.  These families are not just mourning the dead; they are fighting to prevent the list of martyrs from growing.  They represent a “network of grief” that the state is desperately trying to dismantle by targeting everyone from Nobel winners to grieving fathers.

The walls of Iran’s prisons are porous when it comes to courage.  As news of the Mashhad arrests reached the women’s ward of Evin Prison in Tehran, political prisoner Sakineh Parvaneh announced a hunger strike.  In a letter smuggled out of the prison, she noted the bitter irony: The state claims to honor the families of “martyrs,” yet they arrested Javad Alikordi — the brother of the slain lawyer — while he was still in mourning.

From Qezel Hesar Prison, activist Ahmadreza Haeri also raised his voice, condemning the “thugs” who attacked Alieh Motalebzadeh.  “The barking of your unleashed dogs will not drown out the voice of truth,” he wrote.  This cross-prison solidarity underscores that the detainees in Mashhad are not alone, even if they are in solitary confinement.

The Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI) has called on the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights and the international community to demand the immediate release of these 39 individuals.  The charges — “propaganda against the state” and “disturbing public opinion” — are the standard tools of a regime that views a funeral as a threat to national security.

However, for the women left in the dark in Mashhad, the legal terminology matters less than the arrival of a pharmacy bag or a doctor.  As every hour passes without medication for Motalebzadeh or Nazemi, and as Narges Mohammadi remains in an undisclosed location following a head injury, the international community’s silence becomes a form of complicity.

In the struggle for human rights in Iran, the “human” is often lost in the “rights.”  But for the families waiting by the phone for a monitored call, the issue is simple: They want their mothers and sisters to come home before their bodies give out under the weight of a state that fears their grief more than their words.

Iran Saves the Euros from Irrelevance

After years of complacency and ongoing trade with Iran, France, the UK, and Germany triggered a mechanism in the 2015 nuclear deal that will reimpose international sanctions on Iran starting in October.

I can almost hear President Macron (aka “Little Cooke”), Britain’s Kair Starmer and German Chancellor Merz spitballing over tea about how they can get back onto the frontpages from which President Trump has so thoroughly exiled them for the past eight months.

The reimposition — or “snapback” — of international sanctions was envisaged in the 2015 Iran nuclear deal to punish Iran for violating the agreement.

The Euros — and the Russians and the Chinese — should have invoked the snapback clause in 2018 when the United States pulled out of the agreement during Trump’s first term because of Iran’s ongoing violations.

But of course, they didn’t.

Now is their last chance — both for reimposing the sanctions and for achieving some modicum of international relevance.

The snapback clause expires on October 1, ten years after the original Iran nuclear deal. And it requires a thirty-day window to take effect.

Guess what happens on October 1? Russia assumes the rotating presidency of the United Nations Security Council.

And guess what the Russians will do if the Euros wait until then to invoke snapback? Parbleu! The Euros will look like a desert soufflé the day after it was supposed to be eaten.

The Euros have historically been limp on Iran.

I used to track international trade with Iran in the 1990s for my confidential newsletter, Middle East Defense News. The Euros always topped Russia and China and everyone else for providing Iran with dual-use technology.

They were, after all, export-driven economies, unlike the United States at the time.

For nearly four decades the Europeans have provided sophisticated numerically-controlled machine-tools for Iran’s weapons industry, a broad array of equipment that could be used for the production of chemical and biological weapons, and speciality steel and much more for uranium enrichment centrifuges.

Yes, China provided the blueprints for the uranium conversion (UF6) facility. Russia and North Korea provided ballistic missile design expertise. And Pakistan provided the first uranium enrichment centrifuges, thanks to AQ Khan.

If you’d like to know exactly how Iran built up a full-fledged nuclear weapons industrial complex, read my book Countdown to Crisis: the Coming Nuclear Showdown with Iran. I go contract by contract, facility by facility.

And the Euros in particular did nothing to stop it, because they were making out like gangbusters on the trade.

So bravo Little Cookie, Starmer and Merz. Now you can pose for the cameras and claim international relevance, after decades of sitting back and enabling a nuclear weapons-capable Iran.

After all, there was no reason to act when Iran actually had nuclear weapons capabilities, since the publicly-avowed goal of the Iranian regime was merely to to eradicate the state of Israel and to destroy America.

But now is a good time, since Israel and the United States have done the heavy lifting.

The Iranians can continue to count on Putin, who will soon meet with President Xi and Prime Minister Modi of India to discuss how to counter-act the 50% tariffs Trump has said he will impose on the major buyers of Russian oil.

So far, Trump has played nice, even hosting Putin to that summit in Alaska.

Somehow, I don’t think Putin’s response — refusing to meet with Zelenskyy, and stepped up missile and drone attacks on Kiev — will get Trump warm and fuzzy.

So stand by for the next move from the White House. Remember, geopolitics is chess, not checkers.

I discuss all of this on this week’s Prophecy Today Weekend.

The Mullahs Ruling Iran Are Not Iranians

I have repeatedly said that the mullahs ruling Iran are not Iranians. They truly despise Iran and its glorious past. They even hate its name. There were never any questions about the Islamists denigrating Iran and exalting Muhammad. These creatures owe their very livelihood to the lucrative business that Muhammad launched for their parasitic shameful existence. It is vital for these leeches to continue trumpeting the sainthood of the founder of their business and driving all the competition out of business.

Just recently, Sayyid Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami is a senior Iranian cleric, as well as a senior member of the Assembly of Experts, also, Tehran’s Friday prayer leader. He recently proved me right. Give this worm credit for paying homage to the source of his shameful livelihood.

How dare the people of Iran even think to have a revolution or a referendum!! This government belongs to Imam Zaman (The Lord of the Age) and if anyone considers himself an Iranian, he needs to get the hell out of here. This soil belongs to us, the followers of Imam Zaman and his tribe. Iran’s name was created by ignorant people and incidentally, this name is very provocative. This ignorant name (Iran) must be changed to something like “Velayat” lest it provoke our enemies (Iranian people).

The battle against these inhuman oppressors in Iran has been arduous and long. It the battle of the true sons and daughters of Iran and the rest of mankind. It remains our duty to work our hardest to remove these leeches from power.

We recognize that the dysfunctional Islamic software is deeply ingrained in the minds of many Muslims, who opt to remain in mental bondage rather than purge their minds of this software and join the rest of the human family with a new emancipating program for life: liberty.

Islamic clergy, the parasitic prime beneficiaries of Islam, are master practitioners of the carrot-and-stick strategy. By drawing heavily from the Quran and the Hadith, the conniving mullahs and imams have assembled a potent arsenal of threats and promises to keep the faithful in line. They had little trouble in so doing, since Islamic scripture is replete with descriptions of the graphic horrific punishment awaiting the wayward and the unbelievers, while the rewards for the obedient and docile, if they are male, are described as an endless variety of sensual pleasures. Anyone daring to leave the corral of Islam is apostate and automatically condemned to death. And that’s just for starters. The punishment awaiting the ungrateful deserter of the one and only true path, Islam, is horrific eternal torment in Allah’s hell.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, which holds in great contempt any non-Islamic belief or heritage, has embarked on destroying many pre-Islamic archeological sites in Iran, such as Pasargad and Persepolis — some of humanity’s most prized cultural heritage — on the pretext of building a dam. The heinous destruction of the two Bamiyan Buddha statues by Afghanistan’s Taliban pales in comparison to the present barbaric designs of the Islamic Republic. Pasargad and Persepolis are more than a mere collection of ancient structures. They are an embodiment of humanity’s historical respect for liberty and tolerance of diversity.

But the high clergy of Iran is not exactly living up to its brand. The mullah Mafia has a great scam going. They promise the ignorant Islamic devotees the phony “paradise” of afterlife while they themselves enjoy their paradise of women, wealth and wine on this earth. They are unrivaled in duplicity and heartlessness. So in nearly perfect emulation of Muhammad and his leadership 1400 years ago, the pious mullahs go about plotting earthly destruction as they enrich themselves and enjoy earthly pleasures on the backs of their people.

Many Iranians are praying that help is on its way, and that the ongoing protests now will not result in a repeat of 2009, when Obama threw a lifeline to the mullahs’ regime by not supporting the Iranian people, in effect siding with the genocidal mullahs. The turbaned thugs were taking their final breath, being completely broke, and the good old USA came to the rescue, releasing billions of dollars and easing other sanctions. I will never understand this.

My aspiration for my motherland is to see it freed from the evil that has been visited upon it ever since our people bought into a most depraved version of Islam. Whether people become Baha’is or Zoroastrians or Christians, this should be a free choice by each person. Even if a person insists on remaining Muslim, that is his or her prerogative. Yet imposing the suffocating intolerance of Islam on an entire nation is something that neither I nor any person who lives in Iran can accept. Our beloved Iran deserves to be a country where, once again, we take pride in being its children, instead of the present, when we often do all we can to conceal our nation of birth when visiting abroad.

VIDEO: The Rightful and Popular Leader of Iran Makes Plea for Persians to Hit the Streets and End the Mullah Regime

From Reza Pahlavi—the exiled Crown Prince of Iran

The Islamic Republic Has Come to an End’: Exiled Crown Prince Urges Iranians to Rise Up and Overthrow the Regime

Reza Pahlavi—the exiled Crown Prince of Iran—has released his most brazen appeal yet for regime change, urging millions to pour into the streets and finish off the theocracy that has ruled since 1979.

“Fellow compatriots, The Islamic Republic has come to an end and is about to fall. Khamenei, like a scared mouse under the ground, and has lost control of the situation. What has begun is irreversible.
“The future is bright and together we will overcome this sharp curve of history.

Declaring that Tehran’s “suppression mechanism is in a state of collapse,” Pahlavi insists the final blow must come from the streets:

“Only a mass uprising is necessary for this nightmare to come to an end forever.” Now is the time to stand up. Now is the time to reclaim.”

He summons every province to join the revolt:

“All together. From Bandar Abbas to Bandar Anzali, from Shiraz to Isfahan, from Tabriz to Zahedan, from Mashhad to Ahvaz, from Shahr-e-Kord (city) to Kermanshah, let’s make our presence known And end this regime.”

Anticipating fears of post-revolution chaos, the former prince—who left Iran in 1978 and now champions a secular democracy—offers a roadmap:

Do not worry about the future after the fall of the Islamic Republic.
Iran will not become a place of civil war and instability.
We have plans for the future of Iran After the collapse.
We are ready for first the 100 day plan after the fall of the Islamic Republic, and the establishment of a national and democratic government for the people of Iran and in the hands of the people of Iran.”

Pahlavi pleads with soldiers, police, and bureaucrats to abandon the dying order:

“Do not try to preserve the corrupt and rotten regime that has begun its fall, and it is certain. Stand with the people and do not stand against the People of Iran. Do not sacrifice yourself for a rotten regime. By standing with the people, save your lives.”

He closes with a promise of renewal:

Play a historical role in the building of Iran and contribute to the future of Iran. A free and prosperous Iran is ahead of us.”

With Iran’s economy in free-fall, protests simmering, and regional tensions at a breaking point, Pahlavi’s message lands like a match on dry tinder. Whether the call ignites a nationwide uprising or is smothered by the regime’s remaining loyalists will shape the destiny of 85 million Iranians.

PM Netanyahu: ‘No Interest In talks With Iran’

Trump confirms Iran asks for U.S. intervention to stop Israeli attacks

Absolutely not! Since 1979, Iran has maimed, murdered, and terrorized millions of Israelis, they openly vow to commit genocide against Israel, they fund death squads to murder Israelis on six continents, and they are funding anti-Israel protests across the world. Now that Israel is giving Iran a much deserved ass kicking, Iran’s leaders want the U.S to stop Israel from engaging in further military action. All so that Iran can engage in more fake nuke negotiations. Fuck that! Israel must not stop Operation Rising Lion until Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic missile arsenal are compleatly destroyed.

PM Netanyahu: No interest in talks with Iran; Trump confirms Iran asks for US intervention to stop Israeli attacks

Iran wants return to talks but not ready for concessions over nuclear program

By All Israel News, June 16th, 2025

U.S. President Trump on Monday confirmed reports that Iran had reached out to the U.S. to stop Israel’s attacks – however, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flatly rejected any chance for negotiations at the moment.

On the fourth day of Israel’s war against the Iranian regime, Trump was asked by reporters whether Iran had indeed reached out through mediators with a request to stop the Israeli strikes.

“Yes… They’d like to talk. But they should have done that before. I had 60 days, and they had 60 days. On the 61st day, I said, We don’t have a deal,” Trump said.

This is what Hezbollah planned for “Operation Conquer the Galilee”.

There is new information released by the IDF outlining what they say was Hezbollah’s plan to invade northern Israel and take hundreds or thousands of Israeli citizens hostage.

Right now there’s limited information on this aspect but we have some rough ideas of what it would have entailed.

Hamas Admits Murdering Hostages, Releases Video of Them, Threatens to Post Their Last Messages Before They Executed Them

No words. And to those who support these monsters, there is a special place in hell.

Hamas admits to killing hostages, releases video of slain hostage Eden Yerushalmi

Hamas has issued new instructions to guards on handling hostages if Israeli troops approach hostage holding sites.

By: Jerusalem Post, September 2, 2024:

The spokesperson for Hamas’ armed al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obaida, said on Monday that the Palestinian group had issued new instructions to guards on handling hostages if Israeli troops approach hostage-holding sites, reiterating blame on Israel for the deaths of hostages.

“Netanyahu and the occupation army alone bear full responsibility for the deaths of the prisoners. They deliberately obstructed any prisoner exchange deal for their own narrow interests, and furthermore, intentionally killed dozens of prisoners through direct airstrikes,” Abu Obaida said in a message on Telegram.

“Let it be clear to everyone that, following the incident in Nuseirat, new instructions have been issued to the Mujahideen tasked with guarding the prisoners. These instructions outline how to handle the situation if the occupation army approaches the location where the prisoners are being held,” he added.

After the announcement, Hamas published a video which began with the similar message and then continued to a recorded message of slain hostage Eden Yerushalmi before her death. In the video, she gave a message directed at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. At this time, the Hostages and Missing Families Forum has not cleared the video for public viewing.
Rescued, escaped, died

The Nuseirat incident refers to Operation Arnon, in which four hostages were rescued from the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, which led to the deaths of at least 100 people, according to IDF estimates, and nearly 300, according to Hamas estimates. The operation also led to the death of Arnon Zamora, for whom the operation was posthumously renamed.

The rescued hostages were Noa Argamani, 26; Andrey Kozlov, 27; Almog Meir Jan, 21; and Shlomi Ziv, 40.

The announcement came a day after the IDF recovered the bodies of six slain Israeli hostages from Gaza: Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov, and Ori Danino.

All six had been killed by Hamas at least a day before their rescue, having been found dead in the tunnels under Gaza.

IDF warning: Iran arming Venezuela with weapons ‘very capable of hitting U.S.’

This IDF revelation should come as no surprise. In 2022, Venezuela provided Iran with 1,000,000 hectares of  alleged “farmland for cultivation.” One hectare is the size of two and a half football fields, so what could Iran possibly have had in mind?

That same year, an independent Israeli intelligence analyst stated that a Venezuelan cargo plane was linked to Iran’s attempts to attack Israelis.

Venezuela has also hosted Hizballah and Fatah cells involved in money laundering, drug dealing, and jihad activity.

As America continues to sink under Joe Biden, America’s enemies are steadily gaining strength, with disastrous consequences now quite possible for American citizens.

IDF Warns Biden: Iran Arming Venezuela with Weapons ‘Very Well Capable’ of Hitting U.S.

by Frances Martel, Breitbart, March 7, 2024:

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) warned in a video published on Tuesday that Iran has successfully expanded its influence in Venezuela to such a degree that it has planted military assets there that pose a threat to American cities within attack distance, such as Miami, Florida.

The video is part of a series by the IDF called “Iran’s Axis of Terror,” explaining how Tehran uses alliances around the world to undermine global security and enable jihadist terrorism that poses a threat far beyond Israel.

Iran’s Islamist “revolutionary” regime and the socialist gang led by dictator Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela conspicuously flaunt their alliance. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi most recently visited Venezuela – and fellow leftist allies Nicaragua and Cuba – in June, inking deals in Caracas to develop a “technology office” and significant expansions of the presence of Iranian mining, education, agriculture, and other industries in the impoverished socialist country…..
