All New Yorkers must stand up against the antisemites — Including the Mayor

By New York Post Editorial Board

With an antisemitic flag hoist above an NYU celebration and pro-Hamas mobs besieging synagogues and marching through Jewish neighborhoods screaming “Zionism will fail!” and beating up Jews who cross their paths, what are New Yorkers of good will to do?

Not just Jews: They’re the target now, but the whole city needs to counter this venom.

Well, the whole city except for our mayor, since Zohran Mamdani keeps justifying the haters as “enforcing international law” or “protesting genocide” or whatever.

That’s why it’s hard to disagree with ex-Assemblyman Dov Hikind’s call to boycott the Jewish heritage event Mamdani’s hosting Monday at Gracie Mansion, urging Jewish leaders “to take a stand. Show pride. Have self respect.”

Meanwhile, the City Council and Legislature must step up to maximize protections against the haters who’ve weaponized the First Amendment.

The council needs to override Mamdani’s veto of Intro 175-B, a bill to allow — not require — the NYPD to establish protest buffer zones outside schools simply to ensure free entry and exit.

The mayor and his allies claim this would stifle civil liberties, but whose? Goons eager to surround schools and harass students and teachers?

State lawmakers, meanwhile, should back Gov. Kathy Hochul’s push for a law protecting all houses of worship with buffer zones that keep demonstrations back, reinforcing a city law (one Mamdani didn’t veto only because he knew he’d be overridden).

Genuine liberals need to start drawing a line against the “progressives” who justify violence — including attacks on law enforcement — in the name of protest.

Mamdani Protects Rights of Muslim Mobs to Attack Jews

The only kind of free speech he believes in.

After the latest round of Muslim attacks on synagogues and Jewish communities in New York City, the state and city proposed buffer zones around houses of worship and schools.

The New York City Council voted on two bills, one to create a buffer zone around houses of worship and another to create a buffer zone around schools for protests.

Mamdani came out against both, but the houses of worship buffer zone bill was watered down so it does little more than ask the NYPD to take steps to respond to mobs attacking houses of worship.

This meaningless bill passed by a veto-proof majority, so Mamdani can’t do anything about it, but signaled that he wouldn’t veto it.

Media stories bizarrely kept calling the bill “controversial”. But mobs attacking houses of worship isn’t ‘controversial’.

The schools bill did not pass by a veto proof so Mamdani is going to veto it, arguing that “everywhere from universities to museums to teaching hospitals could face restrictions… this could impact workers protesting ICE, or college students demanding their school divest from fossil fuels or demonstrating in support of Palestinian rights.”

Mamdani, doing his best 99 cent store version of Obama, didn’t clarify why there have to be protests against immigration law or oil and gas or Jews at colleges, museums and, of all places, teaching hospitals.

But yes, that last one, mobs waving Islamic terror flags, is what it’s all about.

Gov. Hochul, who’s running for election, is promising state action with a 25 foot buffer zone around houses of worship. Watered down from 100 feet. This would be an improvement, but it would have to get past the legislature without being watered down into meaninglessness, the way the council bill was, and enforcing it would be Attorney General Letitia James, who when the mobs were attacking, investigated Jews who defended themselves, not the terrorist mobs attacking them.

So don’t expect much without federal civil rights intervention.

NYC: East Village residents voted 70% for Mamdani, and now they’re suing him

Leftists sometimes directly experience the misery that their cherished policies inflict on the rest of us, and that’s happening now in the East Village, where they voted in massive numbers for the Marxist Mayor Mamdani, only to have him decide that they would be among the first to be punished.

Mamdani’s fellow Twelver Shi’ite, the Ayatollah Khomeini, also allied with the Communists, only to imprison and kill them after he took power. Now Mamdani wants to inflict violent and criminal homeless people on the affluent leftists of the East Village.

The idea is to demoralize and threaten them until they’ll support the authoritarian policies that are the heart and center of leftism. Well, it couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch, but they’re just toward the beginning of the line.

There will be many more victims to come.

“Social media erupts after Mamdani’s far-left supporters turn on him over homeless shelter: ‘Oops,’”

by Andrew Mark Miller and Leo Briceno, Fox News, April 24, 2026:

East Village residents who voted for New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani by a 40-point margin are now suing to stop a building in their neighborhood from becoming a temporary homeless shelter.

The lawsuit, filed with the New York City Supreme Court on Monday, shows hesitation even among Mamdani supporters about the cost of implementing some of his plans.

News of the lawsuit has prompted conservative mockery online, with figures like Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, noting the irony of Mamdani’s supporters turning on the fruits of his administration.

“Oops,” Sen. Ted Cruz said in a post to X.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani speaks at a press conference at La Marqueta in East Harlem on April 14, 2026, outlining plans for city-run grocery stores aimed at lowering food prices. (New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani speaks during a press conference announcing a city-run grocery store plan in East Harlem.)

“No one is more ‘not in my backyard’ than white progressives. This community voted for Mamdani in a landslide but don’t want to live with the consequences,” Michael Henry, a former New York attorney general candidate, wrote on social media.

“Not shocked,” Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., said in a post of his own.

Election District 45, the area that includes East Village, voted for Mamdani in a 70.1% victory over independent candidate Andrew Cuomo, who garnered just 26.0% of the vote.

Even so, 10 residents joined the Village Organization for the Integrity of Community Engagement (VOICE) in their suit against the city after Mamdani announced plans earlier this year to turn a building at 8 East 3rd Street into a citywide intake shelter to house homeless adult men.

The filing argues the city fast-tracked the process without proper environmental and legal safeguards….

Mamdani, Hochul Agree to Tax on Luxury Second Homes in New York City

Fox News:

Anyone who thought that Governor Hochul. Hochul, the organ grinder’s monkey, would perhaps moderate Zohran Mamdani was sorely mistaken. Hochul is all in on Mamdani’s taxation policies. What wealthy individual would want to invest or live in New York City at this point? The message is unmistakable: they won’t keep bankrolling a city that treats them like suspects and shakes them down at every turn.Expect the once Big Apple to go bankrupt before Mamdani is done.

New York isn’t just losing residents—it’s bleeding the very people who pay the bills. The exodus of wage earners is at record highs, and the old hedge—keeping a pied-à-terre while earning elsewhere—is collapsing. The message is unmistakable: they won’t support a city that treats them like suspects and robs them blind. Close the second home, cut the ties, and move on. What was once a world capital risks becoming a monument to a once great city.

Celebrating: “When I ran for mayor, I said I was going to tax the rich. Well, today, we’re taxing the rich.” The plan will allow New York to tax second homes that are not the owners primary residents. It will certainly be one more reason to encourage the wealthy to wash their hands and find another market for their real estate investments. Fox News: New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani celebrated a proposal to tax luxury second homes owned by the ultra-wealthy, a plan expected to generate at least $500 million annually. Earlier in the day, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul unveiled a pied-à-terre tax on luxury second homes in New York City valued at $5 million or more, allowing the city to impose an annual surcharge on ultra-wealthy nonresidents. The proposal is projected to generate at least $500 million annually, according to Hochul.

New York Times:

Mamdani is celebrating because he effectively pushed Hochul two or three steps further left, yielding to socialist mayor’s agenda. New York Times: Another factor in the proposal’s favor is that it is not being considered as a stand-alone bill; Ms. Hochul intends to include it in the state budget. Under that scenario, the tax proposal will not be voted on separately. It will instead be largely hashed out in closed-door negotiations between the governor and the leaders of the Senate and Assembly. That will make it harder for the tax’s opponents, including the Real Estate Board of New York, a powerful industry group, to lobby effectively against the proposal.

Hochul, Mamdani reach deal for tax on luxury second homes in New York City

By NY1, April 15th, 2026

Gov. Kathy Hochul and Mayor Zohran Mamdani have reached a deal that will add a new tax on luxury second homes in New York City in an effort to reduce part of the city’s budget gap.

The tax would apply to one – to three-family homes, condominiums and co-ops worth $5 million or more and owned by homeowners with a primary residence outside the five boroughs, City Hall said in a press release.

100 Days of NYC Socialism, 100 Years of Worldwide Socialism Cataclysms, and 100 Million Deaths

How do “bad ideas” become deadly to the masses?

Jihadist socialist realities are authoritarian means to misery and poverty and catastrophe ….

The “Socialist-Jihadist” Critique: Some ideologies argue that both Islamic jihadism and radical socialism gain traction by opposing Western imperialism and capitalist inequality, often framing their struggle in terms of fighting for the poor against elite corruption.

Over the past century, various implementations of socialist and communist systems have resulted in massive human suffering, economic failure, and widespread loss of life, with estimates suggesting over 100 million deaths worldwide due to famine, purges, and forced labor. Major disasters include Soviet collectivization, Mao’s Cultural Revolution, and crises in Venezuela, Cambodia, and North Korea. Wheaton College

Key Historical Disasters and Failures:

  • Soviet Union (1917–1991): Initiated under Lenin and continued by Stalin, industrial-scale repression included 20 million deaths from executions, the Gulag, and man-made famines (like the Holodomor). Collectivization caused massive food shortages.
  • Maoist China (1949–1976): Policies such as the “Great Leap Forward” led to widespread famine, resulting in tens of millions of deaths, while the “Red Guard” executed countless skeptics.
  • Cambodia (1975–1979): The Khmer Rouge, under Pol Pot, caused the death of 1.5–2 million people (over a quarter of the population) through forced labor and direct slaughter.
  • Venezuela (21st Century): Under Chavez and Maduro, policies led to extreme economic collapse, hyperinflation, and severe food/medicine shortages.
  • Eastern Europe (Cold War era): Soviet satellite states experienced severe economic inefficiency, resulting in stagnant economies, shortages, and lack of innovation behind the Iron Curtain.

Common Drivers of Failure:

  • Centralized Planning: The lack of market incentives resulted in systemic inefficiencies, producing goods nobody needed while failing to meet demand for necessities.
  • Elimination of Property Rights: Abolishing private ownership of farms and businesses destroyed production incentives.
  • Authoritarian Repression: Resistance to failed policies was met with political violence, surveillance, and purges of “class enemies”.

The Islamist-Socialist at the Gates

Two poisonous ideologies are wedded in the leading candidate to be mayor of New York City

As the sun sets on this crisp November eve in 2025, shadows lengthen over New York City—not from Manhattan’s spires, but from the storm of a radical transformation. Zohran Mamdani, the 34-year-old democratic socialist and unapologetic Muslim activist, stands on the brink of history.

Fresh polls show him surging with a 25-point lead over independent challenger Andrew Cuomo. On Tuesday, November 4, this Ugandan-born immigrant could become the first Muslim and socialist to lead the world’s financial capital—a city still scarred by 9/11.But this isn’t just a local upset; it’s the Democratic Party’s plunge into the abyss, with Mamdani emerging as its new face, dragging the once-moderate machine to the far-left fringe. What began as a romantic primary insurgency has metastasized into a national fever dream.Mamdani’s ascent signals the Squad’s triumph over the party’s gray eminences. Establishment figures like Sen. Chuck Schumer have tiptoed around endorsements, their silence deafening amid the radical roar.

Framing Mamdani as their choice, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders thundered “Tax the Rich!” before adoring crowds in Queens. Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar piled on, blasting Schumer for his reluctance to endorse Mamdani and accusing him of betraying the party’s soul to Zionists. This isn’t coalition-building; it’s a purge. The Democrats—once the party of working-class ethnics and urban strivers—now bow to Islamist networks, bolstered by Muslim Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, André Carson, and Lateefah Simon, fused with socialist zealots in an unholy alliance.

Their joint statement dismissed attacks on Mamdani as “vile, anti-Muslim smears,” mobilizing Muslim voters in Brooklyn and Queens and turning mosques into de facto campaign HQs.Critics have long branded Mamdani a swindler—a chameleon who sheds his skin to match the light. Born to privilege (his father a Columbia professor, his mother an Oscar-nominated filmmaker), he peddles a rags-to-radical myth that crumbles under scrutiny.

This Muslim socialist changes accents and stances as needed. What he once called “universal rent control” is now conveniently conditional. This isn’t evolution; it’s opportunism. Sound the alarm, New Yorkers: this Islamist-socialist cocktail doesn’t just fizz—it ferments in the soil of American naivety. New Yorkers celebrate the “new”—the immigrant striver, the fresh face—yet forget that novelty without wisdom is folly.Mamdani’s blueprint isn’t reform; it’s a Trojan horse for upheaval.Recently, outside a Bronx mosque, Mamdani wept, declaring, “I will not change who I am. … I will be a Muslim man in New York City.”

Noble words on the surface, but unmask the rhetoric and history screams a warning, as seen in his grotesque 9/11 pivot. Mamdani doesn’t mourn the 2,977 souls lost to al-Qaeda Islamic terrorists; he laments his aunt’s post-attack fears, spinning Islamic terror into a tale of American bigotry and Islamophobia—the buzzword shield that deflects scrutiny by protecting Islam from evaluation. This is Mamdani’s masterstroke—grievance theater turning tragedy into political gold. His victimhood refrain pierces a guilt-soaked city. He shouts “Islamophobia,” and progressives nod in suicidal empathy, blind to the power play.Americans must pierce the PR veil on Mamdani’s propaganda. His words ring hollow when traced:

He elevates Islamic values—ummah, submission to Sharia—above America’s pluralism. In pro-Palestine chants, he praises Islamic “resistance” others call terror, and in multiple interviews declines to condemn the term “globalize the intifada.” This isn’t assimilation but Islamic supremacy disguised in a political campaign, priming an Islamist overthrow of liberties Mamdani views inadequate. His stance on Israel is problematic, and his invocation of Islamophobia is a deflection.

Islamism and socialism have ruined nations, and now they are wedded in Mamdani. We’ve seen the Taliban’s Afghanistan, where women’s rights vanished; Cuba’s hollow paradise; Iran’s fusion of Quranic edicts and Marxist fury birthing a theocratic dystopia. Mamdani’s vision—rent freezes, free transit, decriminalized sex work—sounds utopian until you calculate the cost: gutted police budgets, rising crime, a city massacred by a poisonous ideology.

Mamdani’s blueprint isn’t reform; it’s a Trojan horse for upheaval. He is a jihadist-socialist in a suit-and-tie, viewing Islam’s political tenets—many overlapping with socialism—as superior to Western norms. Islam isn’t merely a religion but an ideology, with sharp intent on advancing and replacing. Electing Mamdani would subject New York to that creed and its ambitious and numerous influencers who view Islam and its tenets as superior to American ideals.

Wake up, New Yorkers—don’t mistake inexperience for vision.

Yet there is hope in this cloudy midnight of politics. Until the polls close Tuesday, you, New Yorkers, hold the gavel. The field is flawed: Cuomo’s scandals linger, and Sliwa lacks gravitas. None is perfect, but Mamdani? He’d be a nightmare—a chameleon mayor whose “new dawn” would darken into an Islamist-Socialist authoritarian dusk. Choose wisely, New Yorkers. Your meritocracy, your melting pot, your miracle on the Hudson scream loud for it. America’s genius isn’t blind novelty—it’s discerning renewal. Let Tuesday prove we’re wiser than the polls predict.

NYC Mayor Mamdani’s wife glorified terrorists in online posts, criticized US military: report

Resurfaced posts show Rama Duwaji reportedly praising terrorists, sparking a major political backlash for Mayor Zohran Mamdani

By Louis Casiano, Fox News, March 20, 2026 6:58pm EDT

Mamdani’s wife faces criticism for allegedly liking posts celebrating Oct 7 attack

‘My View with Lara Trump’ host Lara Trump discusses the controversy surrounding New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s wife allegedly liking social media posts celebrating the Oct. 7 attacks on ‘Fox & Friends Weekend.’

The wife of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani reportedly celebrated terrorists in a series of social media posts as a teenager and young adult as scrutiny over her online history continues.

In September 2017, Rama Duwaji posted a photo on her Tumblr account of Leila Khaled, longtime active leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) who participated in two plane hijackings in 1969 and 1970.

“If it does good for my cause, I’ll be happy to accept death,” the caption said.

Khaled is the first woman to hijack an airplane and is revered by terrorists for her role in the crimes.

Many of her posts were made in her early 20s, the Washington Free Beacon reported, noting that Duwaji, now 28, spent her early childhood in New Jersey before moving with her family to Dubai.

In March 2015, when she was 17, Duwaji reposted a tweet on International Women’s Day praising the terrorist Shadia Abu Ghazaleh. An image in the post shows Ghazaleh, who participated in the bombing of an Israeli bus and led several other terrorist attacks.

The image showed her posing with a rifle. She was killed in 1968 when a bomb she was building in her home accidentally exploded. The device that killed her was allegedly intended to blow up a building in Tel Aviv.

Other posts include someone wearing keffiyeh clothing while sewing a flag.

“Photography: ‘A Palestinian demonstrator sews a Palestinian Liberation Organization flag before a protest during the first Intifada’, February, 1988,” the caption says.

Another showed a Bangladeshi postage stamp that said, “We salute the valiant freedom fighters of Palestine.”

A July 2015 post criticized the U.S. military presence abroad.

“*taps mic* American soldiers fighting in imperialist wars are not brave nor are they fighting for anyone’s freedom,” the post said. “They are mercilessly slaughtering 3rd world civilians and fighting to maintain American hegemony. That is all, thank you! *drops mic*”

Illegal Alien’s NYC Subway Attack on Vet Highlights Left’s Defense of Savagery Over Civilization

A recent attack by an illegal alien that took place on the New York City subway perfectly represents where concentric circles of awful leftist policies meet to damage free societies.

On Sunday afternoon, 34-year-old Bairon Hernandez allegedly shoved an 83-year-old Air Force veteran, Richard Williams, and another young man onto the subway track in the Upper East Side. Fortunately, the younger victim, Jhon Pena, was able to pull Williams off the track before a train arrived, though the vet remains in serious condition.

The suspect, according to Pix 11, is a four-time deportee with 15 prior arrests for, among other things, “simple assault, domestic violence, obstruction of police, possession of a weapon, drug possession, and aggravated assault.”

Hernandez first entered the country in January 2008 and was last deported in July 2020, according to the New York Post. He re-entered the country sometime after then.

Welcome to Mamdaniville, where octogenarian veterans are pushed onto train tracks by demented illegal alien career criminals while the mayor whines that Immigration and Customs Enforcement is “a rogue agency, one that has no interest in laws, no interest in order.”

Uh huh.

The Department of Homeland Security posted on X that ICE has lodged a detainer on Hernandez and requested that New York not release him.

Through a single, infuriating incident we can see the two pillars of the modern Democrat Party at work: jailbreaking and open borders. Both these ideas flow from the leftist ideology that guides the activist institutional class (and a handful of sinister billionaires), controlling the actions of the party.

On one side you have the insistence that hardened criminals who go in and out of jail should be given second, third, fifth, infinite chances to prove that they are a menace to society before being locked away for good.

The Left, which in its most extreme forms supports insane ideas like prison abolition, believes that crime is a result of poverty, racism, or other “structural” societal issues that can be solved by their activism. They can’t accept that social conditions like broken families, substance abuse, or—gulp—individual moral decision making play a significant role in criminality.

And so we see heightened crime in certain parts of America because the same people are allowed to commit one offense after another and are let off the hook by activist judges.

Democrat politicians may now be afraid to openly declare themselves as being in favor of defunding the police, one of the more deranged movements in recent political history, but the ideology that animated it hasn’t lost its potency on the Left.

They just hope to rebrand, wait for anger to subside, then get right back to ensuring that jailbirds walk among us.

Then there is the other pillar of the Left, the idea that border and immigration enforcement—even the concept of national sovereignty in Western countries—is racist and deplorable.

They are so desperate in their attempt to ensure that American immigration law won’t be enforced that sanctuary cities and states, along with left-wing politicians and judges, will do everything in their power to impede its progress.

That means even giving cover to dangerous, repeat criminals who may be scooped up by ICE and ejected from the country.

How many more like Iryna Zarutska, Laken Riley, and Stephanie Minter must we sacrifice at the altar of the Left’s sacred ideology? How many more vicious criminals are loose in our country, welcomed in with open arms during President Joe Biden’s tenure and now shielded by insane “sanctuary” policies, released from jail by demented leftwing district attorneys and judges?

Leniency for wrongdoers is, time and again, cruelty to the innocent. Civilization is preyed upon and descends into savagery.

Democrats don’t care. They have an activist class to appease and a narrative to protect.

But there aren’t just individual deadly consequences that flow from these ideas. There’s a sharp civilizational consequence to on one hand tightly regulating and endlessly sponging decent, law-abiding citizens—whose citizenship is reduced to little more than a tax status—while applying no standards whatsoever to those who continually break our law and prey on our people with little consequence.

The result is that the fragile bonds of our society fray. Americans see themselves not as fellow countrymen, but as vulnerable, atomized pawns with little investment in the future of a society that refuses to protect them.

That end state would likely be welcomed by more than a few on the Left who see the traditional political, legal, and cultural system in the United States as an intolerable impediment to their grand vision for our future.

So, it’s clear when incidents like what took place in the New York City subway take place why the Trump administration must continue to make deportation and immigration enforcement a priority. Civilization depends on it.

Mamdani Et Ux

It’s always nice, in this age when half of all marriages end in divorce, to find a husband and wife who get along so well, a couple who can bond over world affairs, and share the same deep feelings about… well, Israel, for one, and Islam for another. Zohran Mamdani’s deep anti-Israel animus is shared by his wife, Rama Duwaji, as we learn from her social media posts, including posts by others that she “liked,” that have just recently come to light. Robert Spencer wrote about this briefly here, and more on Mamdani’s wife can be found here: “Zohran Mamdani’s wife liked social media posts celebrating Oct. 7 attacks,” by Will Bredderman, Jewish Insider, March 6, 2026:

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani spent the mayoral campaign distancing himself from the most radical anti-Israel elements of his leftist movement, but an examination of his wife’s social media activity reveals she liked multiple Instagram posts cheering on Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, assault.

The posts liked by Rama Duwaji, a Syrian-American artist, unambiguously celebrated the terrorist attack, which saw nearly 1,200 Israelis and foreign workers killed, thousands wounded, 251 civilians and military personnel kidnapped and numerous episodes of sexual assault.

The first post, shared on the day of Hamas’ onslaught, came from The Slow Factory, which bills itself as “a school, knowledge partner and climate innovation organization” that “center[s] the voices and ideas of the Global Majority (Black, Indigenous, and other people of color) to share their knowledge outside the boundaries of institutions & oppressive systems.”

The Instagram post shows stills from participants’ livestreamed footage of the attack: first of a bulldozer that terrorists used to breach the barrier separating Israel from Gaza, the second of attackers riding on a captured IDF vehicle. Printed on the former are the words “Breaking the walls of apartheid and military occupation,” and on the latter “Resisting apartheid since 1948,” and on both the slogan “Systemic change for collective liberation.”

The extensive caption on the post laments that “if and when the occupation forces retaliate against this resistance” Gazans will be “punished for wanting freedom from apartheid.”

But what “apartheid” can those at The Slow Factory who wrote the original post, or Rama Duwaji who reposted it with such enthusiasm, possibly have in mind? In 2005, every last Israeli was pulled out of Gaza. It has been entirely Arab ever since. The famous Zen koan asks “What is the sound of one hand clapping?” How can there be apartheid when the population consists entirely of one group — in Gaza’s case, of Arabs? How can there be any “walls of military occupation” to break down in Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023, if there has not been such occupation for several decades?

And what “apartheid” needs to have been “resisted since 1948”? The Arabs who remained in Israel after the 1948 war were not subject to apartheid. From the very beginning of the state, on May 14, 1948, they have enjoyed the same political, economic, and social rights as the Jews in Israel. Arabs in Israel serve on the Supreme Court and sit in the Knesset. Until his recent retirement, the head of Israel’s largest bank, Bank Leumi, was an Arab. Arabs and Jews work in the same stores, offices, farms, and factories. They play on the same sports teams and in the same orchestras. Jews and Arabs are patients in the same hospitals, treated by both Jewish and Arab medical personnel. Jews and Arabs go into businesses together, everything from restaurants to florist shops to high-tech startups. Only one thing distinguishes the treatment of Israeli Jews from Israeli Arabs: Jews must, while Arabs may, serve in the military. One wonders what Mrs. Mamdani would respond if asked to supply examples of “apartheid” in Israel.

Duwaji, who met Mamdani on a dating app [something called “Hinge”] in 2021 and married him in early 2025, liked this post and others using a personal account in her own name, on which she has posted her often-political illustrations and with which the mayor has interacted in the past. She has used it also to directly criticize Israeli policy….

Her “art” is banal, vulgar, and unpleasant. Please take a look at some of it here.

She also produces Agitprop, the kind of thing that lapdogs of the regime turned out in the Soviet Union. It consists almost entirely of anti-Israel and pro-Hamas propaganda: drawings of Palestinian mothers with sad-eyed children, standing underneath a sky where an evil Israeli plane, having just dropped its bombs, is flying away, or another one, that shows a Palestinian child holding an upturned empty pot which has written on it “there is no hunger crisis.” Or a father who had to survive “under the rubble” for twelve hours after an Israeli attack.

Duwaji “likes,” and reposts, the anti-Israel posts of others. In February 2024, a few months after the New York Times published an investigation into the sexual violence that occurred on October 7, 2023, Duwaji liked an Instagram post that referred to the “mass rape hoax” that the Times had “fabricated.” But the mass rapes of Israeli girls and women carried out by members of Hamas on October 7, 2023 were no “hoax”; the rapists themselves videotaped many of them. The paper “fabricated” nothing.

“Mayor Mamdani has been clear and consistent: Hamas is a terrorist organization, October 7th was a horrific war crime, and he has condemned that violence unequivocally,” a City Hall spokesperson said in a statement to Jewish Insider.

Just one question. About Hamas, will the real Mamdani please stand up?

PODCAST: Mamdani Has No Real Instinct of Good or Bad Policies

Based on recent analysis of Zohran Mamdani’s 2025–2026 mayoral term and campaign, the argument that he lacks a “real instinct of good or bad policy” is a central criticism from opponents who characterize his agenda as ideologically driven rather than economically sound. Critics frequently argue that his proposals—such as rent freezes, fare-free transit, and city-run grocery stores—ignore the practical, fiscal realities of New York City, prioritizing political signaling over functional governance.

Here is a breakdown of the debate surrounding Mamdani’s policy instincts!

Fear of Islamization of U.S. Sparks a Sharia-Free America Caucus in Congress

Forty Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives are joining forces in a new congressional caucus to combat what they view as a rapidly growing movement pushing for the Islamization of America as is happening in Great Britain and elsewhere in Europe.

Rep. Keith Self and Rep. Chip Roy, both of Texas, are co-founders of the Sharia-Free America Caucus that seeks to focus public and official attention and action on the multiple ways that the Islamization movement is making rapid progress in establishing large city-scaled developments exclusively available to Muslims transplanted to the U.S. from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

“The American way of life is under siege by radicals from a culture waging war against our Constitution and Western values. We’ve seen what happens when nations allow this infiltration: countries like France and England are on the verge of losing their identity and sovereignty. The same forces are at play here in America today, and if we don’t stop them, they will conquer our country too,” Self said in announcing the formation of the new caucus.

“America is facing a threat that directly attacks our Constitution and our Western values: the spread of Sharia law. From Texas to every state in this constitutional republic, instances of Sharia adherents masquerading as ‘refugees’ — and in many cases, sleeper cells connected to terrorist organizations — are threatening the American way of life. Those who succumb to this political ideology seek to replace our legal system and Constitution,” Roy said in the same announcement.

“Under Sharia law, there is no freedom of speech, religion, or women’s rights. Europe should be a wake-up call to America, showing what the spread of Sharia law looks like. America’s immigration system must brace to take on this battle, not only to preserve our constitutional republic but to take charge in the spiritual warfare and defend our Judeo-Christian values,” Roy continued.

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R) of Minnesota is among the members joining the caucus. Emmer’s decision to join the caucus came amid growing national attention focused on the likelihood that Somali Muslims living in Minnesota were involved in a systematic defrauding of state and federal social service and other taxpayer programs at a cost of $9 billion or more.

“Sharia is completely incompatible with the American way of life and threatens the very fabric of our society. It is radical, oppressive, and must never be allowed to gain a foothold in America. I’m thankful to Congressmen Roy and Self for leading this noble charge in the House and looking forward to working together to combat this danger,” Emmer said in a January statement.

Members of the new caucus have introduced legislation designed to halt and reverse the current momentum of Islamization efforts in this country. Rep. Randy Fine (R) of Florida’s H.R. 5512, the No Sharia Act, insists the bill “would restrict courts from enforcing any judgment, decree, or arbitration that relies on Islamic law or any foreign system that violates constitutional rights,” according to Self’s initial announcement of the group’s formation.

Roy’s H.R. 5722, the Preserving a Sharia-Free America Act, is written to “prevent foreign nationals who adhere to Sharia from entering or staying in the U.S.” The Texas Republican’s H.R. 6225, the PAUSE Act, would freeze the immigration system until major reforms can be enacted by Congress and signed into law by the president.

Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville’s (R) S. 3008 and S. 3009 are the Senate versions of the No Sharia Act and the Preserving Sharia-Free America Act.

Representatives from 19 states have flocked to join the caucus, while both co-founders and eight other GOP members of the Texas congressional delegation are members of the caucus, thanks in great part because the Lone Star State has become in recent years a focal point for the growing Muslim presence.

Developers of a massive Muslim-only combined residential and commercial complex near Dallas, initially known as EPIC City, recently opted to change the project’s name to “The Meadows” following public backlash in response to reports that Sharia law would exclusively govern residents there.

Sharia law is the civil and religious law prescribed by the Koran to regulate public and private life. Among much else, Sharia sanctions husbands treating wives as slaves, justifies Islamic men who rape non-Islamic women, requires the death penalty for those who identify as homosexual and death by stoning for adulterers, and forces non-Muslims to convert or face death by beheading.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) signed into law last year a measure designed to prevent housing developments with religion-based segregation of acceptable buyers.

“One of the issues at stake is the freedom of religion,” Abbott said. “Another issue at stake is what’s called the right to contract. The fact is, religious freedom is a central part of the Texas Constitution. But bad actors like EPIC and EPIC City tried to use religion as a form of segregation. We will ensure that we have the laws and law enforcement in place to prevent attempts to build such discriminatory compounds in the state of Texas.”

But critics of the Abbott measure point out that projects like The Meadows continue moving forward.

Independent investigative journalist Amy Mek, for example, describes Texas as “ground zero” in the Islamization process and “Islam’s top U.S. target and epicenter for settlement, enclaves, and long-term dominance.” As evidence for her description, Mek claims there are “over 330 mosques expanding rapidly” across the state, more than 650 “Islamic nonprofits operating here — more than any other state,” and a proliferation within the financial community of “Sharia-compliant finance” policies.

VIDEO: ‘You Owe Us’ Is the Mantra of the Left

Editor’s note: This is a lightly edited transcript of a segment from today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words” from Daily Signal Senior Contributor Victor Davis Hanson. Subscribe to Hanson’s own YouTube channel to watch past episodes.

Sami Winc: Two things that came together for me. One was [New York City Mayor Zohran] Mamdani’s 9.5% increase in the property tax for New Yorkers, but not that alone. I’m sure our audience has read about that. But I was looking at Power Line. I always like to give a shout-out to them because they have some great articles, and they were comparing New York State’s budget versus Florida’s budget.

And they came up with, well, it’s only half at the state level. So, I thought, well, let’s look at the city level, New York City versus Miami. And while the billions that each of them has to spend is not meaningful in and of themselves. So, for example, New York City’s budget is $127 billion while Miami’s is only $3.4.

But that being said, per citizen, what has to be paid into these cities? And so, for Mamdani, each of his citizens has to pay $14,431 in for his budget. And in Miami, it’s just half of that, at just under $7,000 per citizen.

Victor Davis Hanson: And it’s more disproportionate because in New York, the number of people who are actually paying taxes is a much smaller percentage than in Miami.

He inherited the city that was this blue-chip financial market, this cultural, financial capital of the world, and the first thing he did was raise spending by $11 billion.

Second thing he did was prove that he couldn’t get the trash or the snow off the street during the storm.

Third thing he did, it was very hard to find an appointee who somewhere in their dark history had not issued or written something antisemitic.

All he does is smile and try to be … basically, his message is: I’m not Lenin, and Trotsky or Stalin. I’m the nice, happy-faced communist, and you’re going to like me, and you’re going to like my communism. We’re all going to get along.

I mean, if you’re in New York, if you’re in California, you got a choice.

If you’re in California and this billionaire tax passes, and you’ve got to come up with $50 million, you’re going flee. If you’re in New York, and they’re going to raise your property tax on these multimillion-dollar buildings, you’re talking what could be $20 or $30, $40, $50 million more a year, then you’re going to flee, get out.

If you don’t, they’re just going to keep doing it. They’re going keep targeting you because they have an idea. I don’t think people realize that.

The socialist mind … I knew a lot of socialists in the universities and some friends of mine, and they always think … The whole core of socialism is, I work hard, and no one knows how I suffer at my job as a nurse, as a farmer, whatever. And I believe in the labor theory of value.

Why is it that when Victor had a Ph.D. but he was pruning vines, he was only making $4 an hour—I was for three years—and then all of a sudden, five years later, he is an academic, and he is sitting in between classes and having coffee and he’s making $50 an hour. That’s not fair.

And so, they don’t think about supply and demand, expertise, education, nothing. And somebody would say, “Well, when Victor was pruning vines, a lot of people could not only prune them, they could probably prune them better.”

When he was teaching a particular Greek literature class, and they thought that was an important class to offer. Questionable, but that’s what they said. Very few people could do it. They don’t accept that.

And so, they run on this envy that we work hard, and we get up, and we do things, and therefore we should be compensated. And that’s what a socialist is, and they’re going keep raising taxes.

The other thing about it is, when they raise taxes, they don’t ever say thank you. California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, even former Sen. Dianne [Feinstein], they’re all wealthy, but they never said, “We want to thank the people in California that are the 1% that are paying 50% of the income tax.”

And by the way, the 50% of the income tax in California, there’s only about, I don’t know what there is, 250 billionaires? They usually pay capital gains tax. They pay at about, I don’t know, 28%. The people in that 1% of Californians are highly compensated professionals and small businesspeople who make a million or two million, three million dollars, and then they get hit with a 13.3% tax rate, plus their federal plus Medicare.

So, they’re paying 55% of their income and nobody ever says, “Thank you for doing that, you people, we have a very skilled elite that allows us to have this huge budget.” They don’t. The attitude is always, “They have to. They have to pay more.”

I remember in 1991 there was a fiscal crisis in California and the state was broke.

Well, it’s always broke. It always has a deficit, but this was a really bad deficit. So, they decided to go after all state agencies, and one of them was the California State University system. In the past you always could lay off part-time lecturers. But then they got the idea, we exploit those people so well. We pay them so little that by laying them off—we really reduce about 40% of our classes, which are big money earners. And they don’t cost us anything. We exploit them. No benefit. But the ones that really are the high-priced assets, if you’re going to go after budget cuts, are the tenured full professor, top step in fields that we feel are not essential.

I disagreed with that. So they started laying off Russian professors, classics professors—I was on leave that year—dance professors, which was bad. It was really bad. But when you listen to them, and I knew them very well, they’d say, “Well, these people can pay. Why aren’t we taxing more? Why don’t we raise taxes?”

I said, “We already have the highest income tax.” Well, they have a lot of money, or they wouldn’t be able to pay what they do. But they never made the connection that their job was dependent on somebody being willing. So, they had just contempt for the people that were already paying their salaries.

And some of these classes had three and four people in them. But it was just outrage. It was never, “Why don’t we cut our expenses and save the taxpayer?” It was always, “Ah, they owe us. They owe us.” And that’s the attitude of the Left.

We publish a variety of perspectives. Nothing written here is to be construed as representing the views of The Daily Signal.

VIDEO: Mamdani Already Losing Support in NYC and Residents are PISSED!

Normally, I could care less about NYC especially now that they voted in a Communist, Islamist, terrorist supporting Mayor but; watching this great video really caught my attention because it has country-wide implications for failing Blue Cities along with Red counties with too many blue city govts and SBs and Communist/Islamic plans for America.

I highly recommend you take the time to view this video especially the segment from 6:30 to end at 30 min. This section starts with a thankful Miami real estate mogul but primarily features a panel of 6 very knowledgeable black Christians (4 men, 2 women) who either live in NYC; used to live there and/or are closely following the developing situation under Mamdani.

A few of many excellent highlights from these articulate yet street smart panel members who compliment; listen to and support each other include the following paraphrased words of wisdom.

  • The NYC election demonstrates just how important local elections are to overall well being of residents e.g. Mayors, City Commissions/Councils, School Board etc. Only 2 out of 8 M+ NYC registered residents voted in this election (25%) (sound familiar).
  • Very important to take the time and effort to not only motivate people to vote but to find and fund the right candidates (true conservatives) to run in local primary elections. Otherwise, you won’t get desired results.
  • NYC is now ruled by an Obamaest former DJ who smiles and talks well (Mamdani) and a Bartender who knows little to nothing (AOC).
  • Mamdani’s mantra for paying for his freebies is to redistribute the wealth by taxing the Rich but most of rich in NYC don’t care because they have shielded themselves from taxes. Some may move, but many won’t be hurt; since they have plenty of $; they will stay in their comfortable digs (25th floor penthouses) and won’t be impacted by Mamdani’s Communist policies.
  • The rich remember the words of J.D. Rockefeller paraphrased as “when the blood is running, it is time to buy stuff at cheap prices” and will get richer in the process. Therefore, most of rich are staying silent while counting the ways they will get richer.
  • New Yorkers are learning already that they have been deceived and that the truth doesn’t feel good. Some such truths already revealed is Gov Hochul is not prone to increase state taxes to help out NYC since she is running for re-election; NYC has a huge budget shortfall resulting in “free” buses/subways still charging but people are just getting on without paying meaning the transit authorities won’t have $ to keep operating; garbage is piling up 6′ high in streets; people won’t volunteer to shovel snow; free grocery stores are sparse; landlords are selling rather than providing almost rent free digs, etc.
  • Mamdani is following the world-wide Islamic Jihad plan to take over American cities (like many in Europe) and kick out those who won’t comply with Sharia.

Mamdani’s Muslim ‘Community Engagement’ Specialist Called for Killing All Israelis

1 Israeli left in this world would be too many!

We recently learned that the founder of ‘Hot Girls for Zohran” is a Muslim man whose tweets defended Hamas and during the war tweeted, “Tell Iran we voting for a Muslim in NYC please let them know lmao.”

When asked to condemn his supporter, Mamdani refused to address the question and left the room.

He’ll have another shot because one of his appointees is even worse. The invaluable Canary Mission (you can see why Islamic and radical groups have been trying to criminalize its research work) has exposed some even uglier stuff.

Canary Mission profiled Achmat Akkaddescribing him as a Mamdani appointee working as a ‘community engagement training specialist’ for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Here are some of his views.

On June 1, 2025, Akkad posted on X: “Hamas is to Palestine what the National Liberation Front was to Algeria, the People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola was to Angola, and Mau Mau were to Kenya. White people always hate the armed resistance groups born from illegal occupations but never the occupiers.”

“1 Israeli left in this world would be too many!”

“To save Israel, Zionists are leading the largest resurgence of white supremacy.”

“Jews that don’t support apartheid are safe. Zionist aren’t!”

And yes, he hates America too.

On June 21, 2025, during the Israeli and American war against Iran, Akkad posted on X: “The United States is the largest most powerful terrorist organization in the world.”

Akkad posted on X: “Americans are colonizers, and like all colonizers, their politics will always serve the interests of colonization…”

While Achmat is being highlighted now, he was actually profiled by the official account of the mayor’s office under Bill de Blasio, whom Mamdani considers his role model.

“I am a Black male with a Muslim name living in New York City. I am also LGBTQ, a veteran and Shiite.”

Achmat Akkad is a Communications and Special Projects Coordinator with NYC Veterans, and just one of the wonderfully diverse and talented Black Men of City Hall. Read more on Medium.

Nothing says wonderfully diverse and talented like supporting the murder of Jews.

Back then Achmat was listed as the “Communications and Special Projects Coordinator” at the Department of Veterans Services.

He seems to have moved up since.

This is the ‘Mamdanization’ of New York. This is what happened in London, Paris and other major cities. The upsurge of genocidal and terrorist rhetoric urging on greater violence and tearing apart society.

Mamdani says U.S. should follow the example of Muhammad regarding migration

WATCH: NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani suggests America should take notes from the ‘Prophet’ Muhammad

In denouncing ICE and Trump’s deportation of criminal migrants, Mamdani invokes Muhammad’s hijra from Mecca to Medina as a model for how Americans should regard immigration today. He quotes Qur’an 16:41: “And those who have emigrated for the sake of Allah after they had been oppressed, we indeed will give them good lodging in the world, and surely the reward of the hereafter is greater, if they only knew.” This gives the impression that Muhammad was enunciating a moral principle about welcoming the stranger, which Mamdani amplifies by also quoting a hadith in which Muhammad is quoted as saying that Islam entered the world as something strange and will leave it as something strange, which Mamdani bizarrely interprets as meaning that we should welcome the stranger.

The mayor does not mention, however, what it means in Islamic theology to “emigrate for the sake of Allah.” It means to move to a new land in order to Islamize that land, and impose Sharia upon it. That is what Muhammad himself did, according to Islamic tradition, when he moved from Mecca to Medina: he became in Medina for the first time a political and military leader as well as a preacher of religious ideas, and began making war upon the Meccans and others until all of Arabia was conquered and Islamized. To recommend that as a model for immigration to the U.S. is tantamount to recommending the conquest and Islamization of the U.S. As a knowledgeable and observant Muslim, Mamdani without any doubt knows this, but is counting upon the ignorance of his audience to give his words a benign patina.
