Two “No Choice” Wars At Once

WATCH: Dr. Oren updates the audience on the Israeli view of Trump’s “last chance” for Iran to make a deal.

Israel Has No Choice but to Risk Open Conflict With Trump

History shows that when Jerusalem has folded under American pressure, it has earned contempt, while when it has insisted on its sovereign security needs, it has earned respect. If history is our guide, Israel has no choice but to act independently in the fateful campaign for its future.

Jun. 10, 2026 / Israel Hayom

In my media interviews, I am often asked: “Has Israel become the 51st state of the US?” With half a smile, I answer: “If only. American states have far more freedom and room to maneuver than Israel does.”

This situation is hardly new. Ever since U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower demanded that Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion halt the Israel Defense Forces’ campaign against Egypt in Sinai in 1956, and later withdraw from Gaza, the United States has consistently forced Israel to stop fighting and agree to a ceasefire.

That was true in the 1967 Six-Day War, which Israel wanted to continue for an eighth day; in the 1973 Yom Kippur War; in both Lebanon wars; and in all our operations in Gaza. Even pro-Israel presidents such as Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon and George W. Bush threatened severe consequences if Israel ignored their demands to cease fire.

In May 2021, on the eighth day of “Operation Guardian of the Walls” against Hamas, I received a phone call from a senior adviser to U.S. President Joe Biden, who asked me to convey an urgent message to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “Israel must end the operation tonight, or risk losing American support.” Netanyahu was furious. He wanted to keep fighting for at least three more days. But he immediately complied. The operation ended that evening.

The only difference between U.S. President Donald Trump and previous presidents is his tendency to treat us publicly as vassals who must obey his every order. This is humiliating and demoralizing for Israel and, unfortunately, it strengthens our enemies. But that raises the question: Must Israel obey the White House’s demands under all circumstances and at any price?

Historically, the answer has been “no.” U.S. presidents not only ordered Israel to stop fighting; they also opposed its decision to go to war in the first place. That was the case in every war from the establishment of the state until “Operation Rising Lion” last year. Yet Israel’s leaders, despite the risk of a rift with Washington, determined that our basic security was at stake and decided to act.

Ironically, every time Israel defied the White House and went to war—in 1948, for example, in 1967 and in the 1981 strike on Iraq’s nuclear reactor—we earned America’s respect. Every time we surrendered to pressure and showed restraint—in 1973 and in the 1991 Gulf War—we earned America’s contempt.

This record is especially relevant today, when Hezbollah will undoubtedly violate any ceasefire and continue attacking us. Israel needs to defend and save the north, but in doing so, it risks not only war with Iran but also an open confrontation with President Trump. As in the past, Israel will have no choice but to act.

With its eyes wide open to the potential cost, Israel must show that it is neither a U.S. vassal nor its 51st state, but a sovereign country with an unshakable duty to defend its territory and its citizens. In the end, if history is our guide, Trump will respect us for it.

Netanyahu Insists: No Palestinian State West of the Jordan

In the face of the Trump administration signifying support for a UN Security Council Resolution, drafted largely by the Americans, that recognizes a “path to statehood for the Palestinians,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to reassure the Israeli public that there would never be a Palestinian state “west of the Jordan River.” His formulation left open the possibility of a Palestinian state east of the Jordan River, on territory that was originally intended to be part of the Palestine Mandate but instead, at the insistence of Great Britain, became the Emirate of Transjordan, and later, the Arab State of Jordan. Netanyahu was simply reaffirming the policy he has proclaimed for his entire political life — that of opposition to a “Palestinian state.” But he was now saying it in a different political climate. After the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks, 80% of the Israeli public — a historic high — is now against a Palestinian state. At the same time, more countries in the West — including France, the U.K., Spain, and Norway — are choosing to recognize a “state of Palestine.” More on Netanyahu’s reaffirmation of a policy opposing a Palestinian state, which he described as “firm and unchanged,” can be found here: “Israel’s opposition to Palestinian state remains ‘firm and unchanged,’ Netanyahu tells cabinet,” by Keshet Neev, Jerusalem Post, November 16, 2025:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed Israel’s opposition to a Palestinian state and commitment to demilitarize Hamas, during his opening remarks at the Sunday government meeting.

The meeting included a discussions with ministers on the issue of a Palestinian state. Ron Dermer took part in the meeting, despite his resignation from his role as strategic affairs minister last week.

The statements came after a recent wave of remarks from politicians and far-right lawmakers, calling on Netanyahu to clarify Israel’s stance regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state.

“A Palestinian state, our opposition to a Palestinian state on any territory west of the Jordan River remains firm and unchanged,” Netanyahu said at the meeting.

“I have been pushing back against these attempts for decades, doing so in the face of pressure from abroad and from home. So I do not need reinforcements, tweets, or lectures from anyone,” he added….

Netanyahu has never wavered in his opposition to a Palestinian state, as he reminded the right-wing members of his cabinet who had called for his “clarification.”

On Friday, the US, Qatar, Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Jordan, and Turkey issued a joint statement expressing support for a US-drafted UN Security Council resolution under consideration that would “offer a pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood.

This is the first time that the Trump administration has come out so clearly in favor of “a pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood,” and that is why Netanyahu felt the need to assert, yet again, that Israel would never permit it.

Additionally, a Palestinian state was mentioned in a UN Security Council draft from Thursday, discussing the International Security Force that is meant to govern Gaza.

That UN Security Council draft was the handiwork of the Americans, who are not going to veto their own resolution.

It could be argued that there is still a long way to go, and many obstacles, before Palestinian statehood could possibly be a reality. The Palestinian Authority would have to stop supporting terrorism, which means it would have to end its Pay-For-Slay program, and rewrite its schoolbooks that today glorify terrorists and terrorism. The future PA-run state of Palestine would likely have to agree to be disarmed, just as Hamas will be forcibly disarmed in Gaza, almost certainly by the IDF, as no one else has yet shown a willingness to do the job. There would have to be a provision for the 520,000 Israelis now living in Judea and Samaria. What status would they have in a “state of Palestine”? Would they be forced to move back into a much smaller Israel, now squeezed back within the 1949 armistice lines, leaving the Jewish state with a nine-mile-wide waist from Qalqilya to the sea? Or would they remain where they are, living in Israeli enclaves within, but not a part of, a state of Palestine? Or would they become citizens of “Palestine”?

So many questions, which those who now recognize a “state of Palestine” have not dared to even try to answer.

But one question has received a firm and unambiguous answer from the prime minister of Israel: No, a thousand times no, to a state of Palestine west of the Jordan River. And the Israeli public overwhelmingly agrees. Will the Trump administration support its most loyal ally, still fighting for its survival on seven fronts against implacable jihadists, or will it continue its folly of trying to appease the Arabs by seeming to favor the possibility of a 23rd Arab state?

Trump Defies Expectations: The Peacemaker the World Never Saw Coming

President Donald J. Trump has once again done the unthinkable — demonstrating his willingness to pursue peace over conflict and proving his critics wrong. For years, Democrats and the liberal media painted Trump as a reckless leader who would strip away freedoms and plunge the world into chaos. During the 2016 presidential debates, Secretary Hillary Clinton warned that a man with Trump’s temperament would “create more wars than peace.” Yet today, history tells a different story.

Rather than ignite conflict, President Trump has worked tirelessly to prevent wars and resolve long-standing disputes. The recent truce between Hamas and Israel stands as a testament to his resilience and his relentless desire to achieve peace at all costs. In an era where many world leaders have struggled to restore stability in the Middle East, Trump has once again proven that decisive leadership and unconventional diplomacy can deliver results.

Democrats, who once mocked his foreign policy, must now confront a hard truth: the war that spiraled under their watch could have been avoided if the United States had maintained its rightful position of global leadership. Some prominent Democrats — including Secretary Hillary Clinton, Vice President Kamala Harris, President Bill Clinton, President Joe Biden, and Senators John Fetterman and Tim Kaine — have acknowledged Trump’s historic achievement. Their recognition, though belated, underscores the magnitude of this moment in American and global politics.

However, not everyone within the Democratic Party seems ready to face reality. Members of the far-left congressional group known as The Squad — Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and former members Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush — were once vocal advocates for a “Free Palestine” and demanded an immediate ceasefire during Trump’s administration. Yet now, when a genuine ceasefire has been achieved, their silence is deafening. It raises the question: were their protests truly about peace, or about the attention and political theater that came with them?

In the end, one fact stands tall above the noise — the real president has made peace. Whether Democrats choose to align with this new reality or continue down a path of denial will determine not just their party’s future, but America’s standing as a global leader in peace and diplomacy.

Two Clear Wins for Netanyahu in Trump’s Gaza Deal

Two things are clear wins for Netanyahu. First, it is not the Palestinian Authority, but a group of Arab technocrats who will take over running Gaza after Hamas surrenders. Whether or not such people can actually be found is a different matter, but at very least, the plan does not allow for an extension of the Palestinian Authority’s corrupt rule.

Second, while a possible Palestinian state might appear in the future, that possibility is hedged in with doubts, that it is likely to never come to pass. Here is the relevant paragraph from the 20-point deal: “While Gaza re-development advances and when the PA reform program is faithfully carried out, the conditions may finally be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood, which we recognise as the aspiration of the Palestinian people.”

How long will it take to redevelop Gaza? How many years just to remove the rubble before rebuilding can begin? And what about the “reform”of the PA that will also take a long time, to remove the PA’s thoroughly corrupt leadership, beginning with Mahmoud Abbas, who, with his sons Yasser and Tareq has amassed a family fortune of some $400 million? Abbas also allows his loyal courtiers to help themselves to millions of dollars in aid. How many years will it take to “reform” this endemic corruption? The PA hasn’t held an election since 2006. How long would it now take it to organize a free and fair election, one in which no Hamas members could run, when the PA has no experience of holding such an election in the last nineteen years?

Note the tone of doubt: “When the PA reform program is faithfully carried out, the conditions may finally be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood, which we recognise as the aspiration of the Palestinian people.”

Will that and reform program be “faithfully carried out”? Will the PA change its ways when its entire history has been one of corruption by its leaders, and of rewarding past and incentivizing future terrorism through its “Pay-For-Slay” program that Abbas has sworn to continue? Note that a “credible pathway may finally be in place” — not “will be in place,” but only “may be in place for a credible pathway…to statehood” — again a deliberate phrasing that suggests a long time line, and expresses doubt with that phrase “may be” rather than “will be.” All along the way there are many conditions placed on both Hamas and Palestinians, which may not be met, from Hamas members refusing to “decommission” their weapons, that is, to turn them in peacefully, or the Palestinian Authority showing itself unable to run an election that is free nor fair, that will relieve Israel of the pressure to agree to the creation of a Palestinian state. The Israelis can be sure that neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority will uphold all their part of the bargain (assuming that Hamas accepts the deal). The “reform of the PA” will not halt the massive corruption that characterizes the PA, and an election held under PA auspices for a new government in Gaza, Judea and Samaria, is bound to have ballot-box stuffing in favor of the PA’s candidates. So for now, Israel need not worry that from this deal a Palestinian state will emerge. It won’t happen.

Netanyahu makes Hamas an “offer they can’t refuse”

Netanyahu presents Hamas with his own Don Corleone-style Deal — Accept Gaza’s political reshaping willingly, or face destruction on the battlefield.

In the movie “The Godfather,” Marlon Brando’s Don Corleone famously utters the line: “I’m going to make him an offer he can’t refuse.” The phrase has since transcended cinema, becoming shorthand for a mixture of enticement and threat, a promise of a reward if accepted, and dire consequences if rejected.

Today, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, backed by the Trump administration, is hinting at something similar in the geopolitical arena of Gaza.

Netanyahu addresses Israeli anti-war protesters, reassures Israel about plans regarding Gaza

While Hamas is winning the propaganda war against Israel, particularly among leftists, Israel is trying to garner support for protecting its own country from obliteration. In his latest address to the nation of Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered a brief update about Israel’s plans for Gaza and the completion of Israel’s mission (Courtesy: Israel Government Press Office):

I spoke with the Defense Minister and the IDF about our plans regarding Gaza City and the completion of our missions. Hamas is under immense pressure.

Today I visited the Gaza Division where I met with the IDF senior command staff.

Citizens of Israel, I would like to tell you three things:

First, I expressed – on your behalf, that of the Government of Israel and for myself – deepest appreciation for the great achievements of the IDF in the War of Redemption, the war on seven fronts.

Second, I was impressed by the fighting spirit and determination to complete the defeat of Hamas and the release of all of our hostages.

Third, I spoke with the Defense Minister and the IDF about our plans regarding Gaza City and the completion of our missions.

And like you, I hear the reports in the media, and from them you can be impressed by one thing – Hamas is under immense pressure.”

Netanyahu also addressed Israelis who are taking to the streets, protesting and demanding the  end of the war. He explained that stopping the war now would mean a certain repetition of the horrors of October 7, and would force Israel into fighting an endless war:

After hot rebuke of Netanyahu, U.S. admits to cutting military shipments to Israel by 50%

Less than a week ago, the Biden administration cancelled a high-level U.S.-Israel meeting on Iran, and scolded Netanyahu in protest over a video the Israeli prime minister released stating the truth — that the U.S. was withholding military aid.

The video provoked a temper tantrum from Biden reps. A U.S. official said that Netanyahu’s “decision makes it clear that there are consequences for pulling such stunts,” but who does this unnamed individual think he or she is? Israel is not an inferior, nor a subject of the Biden administration.

Biden did withhold weapons from Israel, but expected Israel to be silent about it, and to reduce itself to a beggar’s gratitude, ostensibly so as not to stir up disapproval from the pro-Israel voting bloc.

A few days later, “US officials confirmed that there has been a steep decline in weapons and ammunition provided by the US.”

Iran, Hamas, Hizballah and all jihadists are enemies to America and the infidel West, as jihadists seek global conquest.

Israel is on the frontline to secure its own existence, but it also battles by proxy for all free societies, which benefit from Israel being on the front lines.

The Biden administration is unreliable, and is a stumbling block to Israel.

US admits cutting shipments of military aid to Israel by 50%

by Vered Weiss, World Israel News, June 23, 2024:

US officials confirmed that there has been a steep decline in weapons and ammunition provided by the US to Israel in recent months.

At the outset of the Gaza war, the US sent 240 shipments of military aid to Israel, but more recently, the number has dropped to 120, resulting in a 50% reduction.

Both US and Israeli officials confirmed that there has been a decrease in US arm shipments to Israel.

Addressing the situation at a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “There has been a dramatic decrease in the supply of munitions from the US.”‘

Although Netanyahu thanked the US for its support at the beginning of the war, “both in spirit and in material means,” he says he has had to urge the US to “speed up the shipments.”

The Israeli Prime Minister expressed his frustration, “We did it again and again. We did it at the highest levels, at all levels, we did it in closed rooms. ”

He added, “They gave us all sorts of explanations, but we didn’t get one thing – the basic situation hasn’t changed. Certain items trickled in, but the great mass of weapons remained behind.”…

ICC Says Criticism of the ICC Could be a Criminal Offense

Authoritarian leftist foes of free inquiry control the international organizations.

ICC prosecutor threatens U.S. senators

by Elliott Abrams, JNS, May 29, 2024 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Many critics thought the International Criminal Court had gone too far when its prosecutor asked for arrest warrants against Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

But as the saying goes, “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.”

Now, the prosecutor’s office has threatened to prosecute criticism of…himself. Those who seek to defend Israel and stop the malicious, deeply antisemitic action against its leaders and against the Jewish state are now being told that their words and actions may also be a crime.

This may sound like something out of “Alice in Wonderland,” but it is an effort not only to limit freedom of speech, but to limit the constitutional powers of the U.S. Congress.

After the prosecutor called for the arrest warrants for top Israeli officials, 12 U.S. senators wrote to the ICC. The full text of the letter is below. The final paragraphs read:

“If you issue a warrant for the arrest of the Israeli leadership, we will interpret this not only as a threat to Israel’s sovereignty but to the sovereignty of the United States.

“The United States will not tolerate politicized attacks by the ICC on our allies. Target Israel and we will target you. If you move forward with the measures indicated in the report, we will move to end all American support for the ICC, sanction your employees and associates, and bar you and your families from the United States. You have been warned.”

The reaction of the prosecutor’s office came in a tweet, the key language of which is this:

“When individuals threaten to retaliate against the Court or Court personnel…such threats, even when not acted upon, may also constitute an offence against the administration of justice under Art. 70 of the Rome Statute.”

Wow.

The 12 senators are already criminals, according to the ICC prosecutor, for writing their letter—even if absolutely nothing else happens. Note that the prosecutor writes of “individuals” who may threaten the ICC, whereas the senators write as U.S. government officials about possible official U.S. government actions. In plain language, the prosecutor is arguing that he and the ICC are above criticism. Forget freedom of speech or national sovereignty. To say that the United States, which is not a party to the Rome Statute, might react to punish the ICC for illegal and immoral actions it and its employees may take is not permitted….
