Elon Musk And His Businesses Faced Multi-Agency Crackdown From Biden Admin In 2023

In the first full year of Elon Musk’s ownership of Twitter — now X, President Joe Biden’s administration repeatedly targeted the billionaire and his companies, taking regulatory action against them throughout 2023.

Several agencies under the Biden administration launched investigations and instituted other consequential reviews into Musk’s businesses. Entities including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) took action against them in 2023 as Musk ran X.

“I think that Elon Musk’s cooperation and/or technical relationships with other countries … is worthy of being looked at, whether or not he is doing anything inappropriate, I’m not suggesting that,” Biden said in November 2022 shortly after Musk purchased Twitter. “I’m suggesting that [it’s] … worth being looked at … that’s all I’ll say.”

Musk and his companies have since been in the administration’s crosshairs.

“I don’t think the whole administration has it out for me,” Musk stated in September on the All-In Podcast. “But I think there’s probably aspects of the administration … or aspects of interests aligned with President Biden who probably do not wish good things for me.”

Most recently, the FCC decided to rescind a $885 million award to Musk’s SpaceX for its Starlink to provide fast broadband internet service to over 640,000 homes and businesses in rural areas in December. This was an example of the Biden administration’s “regulatory harassment” of Musk, FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr alleged in a statement dissenting from the decision.

“Doesn’t make sense,” Musk posted in response to the rejection. “Starlink is the only company actually solving rural broadband at scale!”

The FCC reached its decision because Starlink failed to show it could meet the requirements to provide the services with funds from the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund, it asserted. However, Carr says this is a standard that has never been used before.

“[The FCC’s decision] is belied by the fact that the U.S. government is entering into multimillion dollar contracts with Elon Musk, with Starlink, for high-speed connectivity when it matters the most — for military operations and otherwise — so it simply isn’t credible for the FCC to be claiming that they have concerns about this technology when other components of the federal government are leaning in so heavily,” Carr told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo in an interview.

Moreover, the DOJ filed a complaint against SpaceX  in August for alleged discrimination based on its hiring policies, according to court documents. The DOJ accused SpaceX of discrimination against individuals seeking asylum and refugees by not hiring them.

“US law requires at least a green card to be hired at SpaceX, as rockets are considered advanced weapons technology,” Musk posted on June 20. However, this is not true, according to the complaint.

The FAA blocked SpaceX from launching its Starship rocket until it completed 63 corrective actions following it bursting into flames in April, according to the agency on Sept. 8.

“Starship is ready to launch, awaiting FAA license approval,” Musk had posted on Sept. 5. He also posted a checklist of SpaceX’s progress in completing the corrective actions on Sept. 10.

The Fish and Wildlife Services (FWS), which is under the Department of the Interior, also held up the Starship launch, Bloomberg reported on Sept. 18. It had not started its official review of the April explosion at that point, which was necessary for the FAA to finalize its approval.

FWS found some charred crabs and quail eggs shortly after the April launch, according to Bloomberg.

“Once the Service reviews FAA’s final biological assessment and deems it complete, consultation will be re-initiated and we will have 135 days to issue a final biological assessment,” FWS public affairs specialist Aubry Buzek told Bloomberg. “At any time FAA and the Service can agree to extend that time if for some reason we need to gather further information or new information is presented.”

The FAA eventually approved Starship to launch on Nov. 17 and it launched the following day, according to Reuters.

When Musk received pushback in November for replying to an alleged antisemitic post about Western Jews advocating for “dialectical hatred against whites” by stating, “You have said the actual truth,” the White House joined in on the criticism.

“We condemn this abhorrent promotion of antisemitic and racist hate in the strongest terms, which runs against our core values as Americans,” White House spokesman Andrew Bates stated.

Furthermore, the DOJ and SEC are investigating Musk’s electric car company Tesla’s alleged allocation of funds toward a covert project, rumored to be the construction of a glass house for Musk, The Wall Street Journal reported in August.

“I’m not building a house of any kind, let alone a glass one!” Musk posted on X.

“[Musk] became a critic of the [Biden] administration and exposed the censorship regime,” Republican Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie stated in September. “The DOJ has opened not one but two investigations of Elon Musk … To the American public, these look like mafia tactics.”

The EEOC sued Tesla for alleged racism in September, according to a lawsuit announced by the federal agency. Black staff allegedly dealt with many instances of racist abuse and derogatory slurs at the company’s manufacturing facilities in Fremont, California, from at least 2015 until 2023.

“Black employees at Tesla’s Fremont, California manufacturing facilities have routinely endured racial abuse, pervasive stereotyping, and hostility as well as epithets such as variations of the N-word, ‘monkey,’ ‘boy,’ and ‘black b*tch,’” according to the EEOC. “Slurs were used casually and openly in high-traffic areas and at worker hubs. Black employees regularly encountered graffiti, including variations of the N-word, swastikas, threats, and nooses, on desks and other equipment, in bathroom stalls, within elevators, and even on new vehicles rolling off the production line.”

The SEC sued Musk in October to compel him to testify in the commission’s investigation into him for his purchase of Twitter in late 2022, according to Reuters. The commission is looking into whether his public statements and filings pertaining to the purchase were deceptive.

Despite Musk’s claims to the contrary, the SEC denies this is harassment in court documents.

The FTC has investigated X’s alleged lack of adherence to a 2022 administrative order pertaining to privacy, and depositions “revealed a chaotic environment at the company that raised serious questions about whether and how Musk and other leaders were ensuring X Corp.’s compliance,” according to a September DOJ filing.

The FTC has also issued over 350 requests for information from X since Musk took over, including the company’s collaborative work with journalists, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio asserted in July. Musk enabled journalists to publish  internal documents from X which preceded his takeover, called the “Twitter Files,” revealing that Biden campaign staff flagged content related to his son Hunter for the platform to suppress in December 2022.

“You’ve asked for every single communication relating to Elon Musk, not communications that he just sent to someone or communications he received, but any time he’s mentioned,” Jordan said. “More than harassment, that seems like almost an obsession.”

The White House, X, Tesla, SpaceX, FCC, DOJ, FAA and FWC did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

The FTC, SEC and EEOC declined to comment.

Voters Are Increasingly Ditching The Democratic Party For The GOP In Crucial Swing State

Democratic voters in the battleground state of Pennsylvania are increasingly leaving the party for the GOP ahead of the 2024 election.

Pennsylvania, which has picked the winner of the presidential election for the last four cycles, has lost over 35,000 of its Democratic voters to Republicans this year, according to Dec. 18 data released by the the state’s Department of State. Conversely, only 15,622 of the state’s Republican voters became Democrats in 2023.

Additionally, roughly 20,900 Democrats and 18,900 Republicans have withdrawn from both major political parties, according to the state data.

In 2016, Pennsylvania narrowly broke for former President Donald Trump, where he beat Hillary Clinton by less than one point. The state swung back to the Democrats in 2020 when Biden won 50% to 48.8%.

The RealClearPolitics average for a 2024 hypothetical rematch between the two in Pennsylvania suggests Trump is currently leading Biden by one point. The former president is also leading Biden in several other crucial battleground states, like GeorgiaArizonaNevada and Michigan.

Pennsylvania also features a critical Senate race on the ballot, as Democratic Sen. Bob Casey seeks reelection. The senator will likely have to face Republican David McCormick next year for the seat that The Cook Political Report currently characterizes as in the “Lean D” category.

Recent polling largely suggests that Casey, who has held the seat since 2007, has an advantage in the race, as he’s beating McCormick anywhere from six to 15 points, according to FiveThirtyEight’s survey compilation.

“Current voter registration trends and polling in Pennsylvania should be setting off alarms for President Biden and Democrats at the state and national level,” Erik Telford, the Commonwealth Foundation’s senior vice president of public affairs, told Newsweek, who first reported the numbers.

However, Pennsylvania still has nearly a half million more Democratic voters than Republican voters ahead of 2024, according to the state data.

Neither the state’s Democratic or Republican party immediately responded to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s requests for comment.

Here’s How The Biden Admin Treated Countries Who Kicked Candidates Off The Ballot

The Biden administration has enacted or threatened sanctions against foreign nations who have kicked opposition candidates off the ballot, leading some lawmakers to question the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling this week to remove former President Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 election ballot.

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled in a 4-3 decision on Tuesday to remove Trump from the state 2024 election ballots, having decided he is disqualified to run for office under the 14th Amendment’s “insurrectionist ban,” despite the former president not being criminally convicted of such an offense. The Biden administration has previously used sanctions in retaliation against foreign nations who engaged in stifling political competition and removing opponents from election ballots, as several lawmakers have pointed out this week.

“The U.S. has put sanctions on other countries for doing exactly what the Colorado Supreme Court has done today,” Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said on Tuesday.

“We’d threaten sanctions against countries that had their courts exclude a challenger to protect the incumbent,” Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee said Tuesday.

Venezuela, a socialist dictatorship in Central America, was sanctioned by the former Trump administration for undemocratic practices. The Biden administration started to lift some of those sanctions in October if Venezuela agreeing to certain conditions, including a commitment to holding fair elections in 2024 and allowing dictator Nicolas Maduro’s political opponents to appear on the ballot.

“Failure to abide by the terms of the agreement will lead the United States to reconsider steps we have taken, including the easing of sanctions,” Biden’s State Department told the DCNF in November.

However, less than a month after agreeing to the Biden administration’s terms, Venezuelan courts suspended the results of his political opposition leader’s primary election victory results. The suspension was handed down by Venezuela’s top court, which ruled that the opposition leader must be investigated for alleged identity theft, money laundering and conspiracy.

The Biden administration continues to push Venezuela toward holding free elections next year. The administration maintains its warning that it will take measures, including reimposing sanctions, if Maduro’s government does not hold to its word.

However, no sanctions have thus far been reimposed.

Nicaragua, a nation under dictatorship in Central America, had its government hit with sanctions from the Biden administration in 2021, according to the Treasury Department. The Biden administration explained they were imposing sanctions against Nicaragua because of its 2021 “sham election,” as the country’s government removed most of incumbent President Daniel Ortega‘s political opponents from the ballot.

Only five of Ortega’s political opponents were on the ballot in 2021, all of whom were not well known and had little chance of winning, according to CNN. Seven of Ortega’s other political opponents were not allowed to appear on the ballot after being “unjustly arrested” prior to elections, ensuring a “rigged outcome well before election day,” according to the Treasury Department and USA Today.

The Biden administration pointed to the government’s “groundless” misuse of Nicaragua’s Law 1055, which bans anyone deemed as a “traitor” by the country’s government from running for public office.

“The Ortega regime is using laws and institutions to detain members of the political opposition and deprive Nicaraguans from the right to vote,” Office of Foreign Assets Control Director Andrea M. Gacki said in a November 2021 statement. “We stand with the Nicaraguan people in their calls for reform and a return to democracy.”

Belarus, a country in eastern Europe with close ties to Russia, was hit with sanctions by the former Trump administration in 2020 over concerns the country held “fraudulent” elections that year by barring political opponents from the ballot and falsifying voting records, according to the Treasury Department. The Biden administration upheld these sanctions and castigated Belarus in a June 2021 statement for holding illegitimate elections by preventing “multiple opposition candidates from appearing on the ballot and restrictions on the ability of the opposition to campaign,” according to the Treasury.

“The United States and its partners will not tolerate continued attacks on democracy and the ceaseless repression of independent voices in Belarus,” Gacki said in a June 2021 statement. “Today’s actions, taken on both sides of the Atlantic, hold accountable those who continue to suppress the democratic aspirations of the Belarusian people.”

Several lawmakers and legal experts have denounced the Colorado Supreme Court’s Tuesday ruling as unconstitutional. The Trump campaign immediately disputed the court’s ruling and said it would quickly move to appeal.

Though he wouldn’t comment on the Colorado Supreme Court’s Tuesday ruling, Biden did tell reporters on Wednesday that there’s “no question” Trump incited an insurrection at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

“Well, I think certain things are self-evident. You saw it all,” Biden said Wednesday. “Now, whether the 14th Amendment applies, I’ll let the court make that decision. But he certainly supported an insurrection. No question about it. None. Zero.”

The White House did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

Biden Is Underwater Among Voting Blocs That Were Key To His 2020 Victory: POLL

President Joe Biden is underwater among key demographics who supported his 2020 White House bid against former President Donald Trump, a Tuesday poll found.

The New York Times/Siena College survey of both likely and registered voters indicated that majorities of women, those aged 18 to 29, independents and Hispanics disapprove of Biden’s job performance. All of these key voting blocs voted for Biden over Trump by double digits in 2020, according to Edison Research’s exit polls.

In 2020, Biden led Trump by 24 points among those aged 18 to 29, 15 points among females, 33 points among Hispanics and 13 among independents, the exit polls found.

However, the NYT/Siena College survey of registered voters indicated 55% of women, 67% of 18-to-29-year-olds, 56% of Hispanics and 60% of independents disapprove of Biden’s handling of the country. The president received slightly higher approval ratings from likely female, Hispanic and independent voters.

Additionally, while a majority approved of Biden, 25% of likely and 30% of registered black voters disapproved of the president’s job performance. The demographic backed Biden in 2020 87% to 12%, according to the exit polls.

Overall, Biden received mere 39% and 37% approval ratings from likely and registered voters, respectively, according to the survey. The last time an incumbent president had nearly as low of an approval rating going into their reelection year as Biden currently does, it was Democrat Jimmy Carter at 40%, according to Gallup, who went on to lose to Republican Ronald Reagan by almost 10 points.

The same poll also found Biden losing to Trump among registered 18-to-29-year-old voters 49% to 43%, with an overwhelming majority of them disapproving of the president’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war following the terrorist group’s Oct. 7 attack on the U.S. ally.

The survey comes after several polls have found Biden losing support from key voting blocs Democrats typically win by large margins. Additionally, the president is trending behind Trump for a 2024 hypothetical rematch in national and crucial battleground state surveys.

Trump is currently leading Biden in the RealClearPolitics (RCP) average by 3 points nationally, and is also ahead in MichiganPennsylvaniaGeorgiaArizona and Nevada.

The NYT/Siena College survey polled 1,016 registered voters from Dec. 10 to Dec. 14 with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5%.

Biden’s campaign did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Yet Another New Poll Spells Bad News For Biden Among This Key Voting Bloc

‘This Is Dead Wrong’: Turley Blasts ‘Fundamentally Flawed’ Ruling By Colorado Court Barring Trump From Ballot

‘Enormous Amount Of Evidence’: Jonathan Turley Says Joe Biden’s Connection To His Son’s ‘Corruption’ Is ‘Impeachable’

Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley stated Sunday that President Joe Biden’s connection to his son, Hunter Biden’s, “corruption” is cause for impeachment given the “enormous amount of evidence.”

Turley appeared on “Fox News Sunday” to discuss the process for the president following the House’s recent resolution to launch an impeachment inquiry. Fox Host Shannon Bream asked the legal analyst about his thoughts on those who claim that there is no “smoking gun” evidence on Biden.

Turley pushed back against the argument stating that not only has there been an “enormous amount” of evidence against the president and his family, but that most people agree it is “influence peddling.”

“It’s simply not true. I mean, there’s been an enormous amount of evidence put together by the House committees – millions of dollars that have gone through a labyrinth of different accounts and shell companies to Biden family members,” Turley stated.

“There are Biden associates, who said that what the president has said publicly is nonsense, that he did know about this influence peddling. And most people agree that this is influence peddling. This is corruption.”

Turley continued to state that there is no necessity to “really show” that the money had “directly” gone to Biden for him to be impeached, emphasizing the “standard” in federal cases that have involved bribery and other similar crimes.

“But I have to correct one notion that is being bantered about and that is that you have to really show that money went directly to the president. That’s not the standard that in federal cases involving bribery and other crimes, giving money to a principal’s family members is in fact a benefit under federal law. Otherwise, everyone would just give money to family members and say it’s not a bribe, it’s not impeachable,” Turley stated.

“And by the way, it is impeachable. I was lead counsel in the last traditional impeachment trial, my client was impeached because benefits were given to a judge’s family member. So many of these congressmen repeating this argument voted on that impeachment and said, it is impeachable.”

The House passed a resolution Dec. 13 to open an impeachment inquiry into Biden, voting 221-212. Following the vote, House Speaker Mike Johnson released a joint statement with fellow Republicans Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise, Minnesota Rep. Tom Emmer, and New York Rep. Elise Stefanik.

The four Republicans stated that not only did the House take a “critical step” into the investigation regarding Biden’s involvement in his family’s foreign affairs, but that “authorizing the inquiry puts us in the strongest position to enforce these subpoenas in court.”

JAMES CARTER And JIM ELLIS: The Presidential Elections Of 1944 And 2024 Are Staggeringly Similar

Encouraged by President Joe Biden’s consistently weak poll numbers, the Republican contenders participating in last night’s presidential debate repeatedly lashed out at his administration and policies. But as politically vulnerable as the president appears to be, he may not be the most vulnerable member of the Democratic ticket.

When the Democratic Party delegates convene to nominate their presidential and vice presidential candidates for next year’s election, it is Vice President Kamala Harris who may find herself stranded in the more precarious position.

State law will protect President Biden after he wins every primary, thus locking the individual delegates’ votes through the first ballot and, in some states, the second and third convention roll calls. No such protection is awarded to the vice presidential contender. While voters in every state collectively determine the presidential nominee, the convention delegates have the sole power to accept or reject that nominee’s choice as a running mate.

With Vice President Kamala Harris’ approval numbers consistently dropping even below President Biden’s typically poor showing, jittery delegates might believe replacing Ms. Harris would strengthen the party’s chances next November.

Ironically, the parallels between the 1944 and 2024 presidential election campaigns are staggering. Could what happened at the 1944 Democratic National Convention repeat itself at the party’s 2024 nomination gathering?

Despite President Biden’s advanced age and questionable health, most pundits expect he will seek re-election and secure re-nomination. Winning the general election and completing another term, however, is far from certain.

Democrats ventured to Chicago in the summer of 1944 for their national political convention. Where are Democrats holding their convention next year? Chicago.

In 1944, Vice President Henry Wallace was considered an electoral liability by Democratic Party insiders. According to historian David McCullough, they believed having Wallace on the ticket could cause the Democrats to lose two or three million votes and ultimately “the loss of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and California.”

Similarly, as a recent headline (“The VP is a Drag on the Ticket”) suggests, Vice President Harris is also considered a drag on the presidential ticket. Within a year of assuming office, she sported the lowest approval rating (28%) of any sitting vice president in fifty years.

Today, Vice President Harris’ net favorability rating (approval rating minus disapproval rating) is -16.3 percentage points. While 82% of Democrats hold a favorable opinion of Harris, a whopping 70% of political independents — the voters President Biden will need behind him to win re-election—hold an unfavorable opinion of her.

In 1944, Vice President Wallace was unceremoniously tossed from the ticket in favor of then-Senator Harry Truman. Why? According to McCullough, Franklin Roosevelt viewed Truman “as the one who would do the ticket the least harm.”

The same can’t be said of Kamala Harris, given her decrepit poll numbers.

Another parallel between 1944 and 2024 is the growing concern that the president may not survive an additional term in office.

President Roosevelt turned 62 in April 1944. Due to wartime concerns and political expediency, Roosevelt’s declining health was intentionally kept from the public. His aides and associates, however, knew better.

Ed Flynn, one of FDR’s associates, reportedly urged Mrs. Roosevelt to persuade her husband not to seek re-election, arguing that the president “would never survive his term.” George Allen, one of FDR’s cronies, wrote that FDR’s closest allies “realized that the man nominated to run with Roosevelt would in all probability be the next President ….”

They were right to be concerned. Harry Truman served as vice president for all of 82 days before assuming the presidency upon Roosevelt’s death.

President Biden turned 81 last month. Should he win and survive a second term, he will be 86 years old upon leaving office. According to the Social Security Administration’s Actuarial Life Table, an 81-year-old man has a 7.2% probability of dying within one year. That probability jumps to 12.1% for a man of 86. Those odds are just shy of a game of Russian roulette—a 1 in 6 possibility.

But should President Biden win re-election, his vice president stands a meaningful chance of assuming the top job. President Biden needn’t die for his vice president to assume his office; he could step down in perhaps a mentally or physically disabled condition.

For that reason alone, ambitious Democrats could, in 2024, as in 1944, jockey for their party’s vice presidential nomination. Henry Wallace stood against 15 other men seeking the Democratic nomination for vice president in 1944. How many people will Vice President Harris face next year?

A crowded field of contenders, designed to prevent Harris from securing the vice presidential nomination quickly, could spell the end of her tenuous hold on the office. That could open the door to any number of possibilities. Vice President Michelle Obama? Vice President Amy Klobuchar? Vice President Oprah?

In consolation, President Truman appointed former Vice President Wallace as Secretary of Commerce. In that vein, should Joe Biden secure a second term, we’d like to be the first to congratulate Ambassador Kamala Harris on her new role abroad in the years ahead.

House Republicans Release Text Of Impeachment Inquiry Resolution For Joe Biden

North Dakota Republican Rep. Kelly Armstrong introduced a 14-page resolution Thursday that would authorize an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

“Directing certain committees to continue their ongoing investigations as part of the existing House of Representatives inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to exercise its Constitutional power to impeach Joseph Biden, President of the United States of America, and for other purposes,” the resolution reads.

The resolution is set to be marked up Tuesday, Dec. 12 and a vote could occur Wednesday.

“It’s time for the House to take the next step in the Biden impeachment investigation and adopt an impeachment inquiry resolution. The White House and multiple witnesses have repeatedly refused to cooperate with the investigation and have rejected subpoenas. Despite this refusal, the investigation has uncovered alarming details that demand further scrutiny,” Armstrong said in a statement.

READ THE RESOLUTION HERE:

(DAILY CALLER OBTAINED) — BILLS 118hres918ih 0 by Henry Rodgers on Scribd

“The Biden family and associates received more than $24 million from foreign nationals. Joe Biden received $200,000 from his brother, James Biden, the same day James received a $200,000 loan from a failing rural hospital operator. Joe Biden also received $40,000 in laundered Chinese money from his brother and sister-in-law. It’s become clear that the Biden family sold influence around the world using Joe Biden’s name as the product. An investigation in any jurisdiction around the country would move forward if it had these facts. A vote on an impeachment inquiry puts the House in the best position to prevail in court and uncover the truth,” Armstrong continued.

This is a developing story. More information will be added as it becomes available.)

VIDEO: Hunter Biden Sent Direct Monthly Payments To Joe Biden From Bank Account For Chinese Money, Comer Reveals

Hunter Biden sent his father, President Joe Biden, monthly payments from the bank account he used to receive money from Chinese business associates, newly released bank records show.

House Oversight Committee James Comer shared a video Monday on Twitter revealing redacted bank records containing direct payments to Joe Biden from Hunter Biden’s Owasco P.C. bank account.

“Today, the House Oversight Committee is releasing subpoenaed bank records that show Hunter Biden’s business entity, Owasco PC, made direct monthly payments to Joe Biden. This wasn’t a payment from Hunter Biden’s personal account but an account for his corporation that received payments from China and other shady corners of the world,” Comer says in the video. The payments appear to have taken place beginning in September 2018, the bank records show.

“Payments from Hunter’s business entity to Joe Biden are now part of a pattern revealing Joe Biden knew about, participated in and benefited from his family’s influence peddling schemes.”

REDACTED BANK RECORDS:

A payment from Sept. 2018 released by the Oversight Committee appears to be a $1,380 expense, the same amount Hunter Biden owed his father for reimbursements related to a Ford Raptor truck, according to an email from his abandoned laptop archive first reported by the Washington Examiner. Hunter Biden’s Ford Raptor appeared to be insured by Joe Biden, according to a New York Post report of Hunter Biden’s bills based on the laptop archive.

Comer subpoenaed Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden’s personal and business records in late September after the first impeachment inquiry hearing for President Biden. He released bank records Nov. 1 showing how funds originating in China resulted in a $40,000 check to Joe Biden in September 2017.

A Chinese firm sent $5 million to Hunter Biden’s firm Hudson West III in August 2017, shortly after he established the business entity with a Chinese business associate. Hunter Biden proceeded to wire $400,000 to his Owasco P.C. account and over $130,000 to another one of his corporate accounts, according to the bank records.

Next, Hunter Biden provided $150,000 to the Lion Hall Group, James Biden and his wife Sara Biden’s business account. James Biden and Sara Biden put $50,000 into their personal account and then sent a $40,000 check to Joe Biden, the bank records show.

The check to Joe Biden is classified as a loan repayment and the White House has said repeatedly the check was for the purpose of paying off a loan. A bank investigator later flagged the money sent to Hudson West III and redirected to Owasco P.C., according to an email Comer disclosed on Nov. 29.

Hunter Biden made just under $1 million from the Hudson West III arrangement in 2017, according to his failed guilty plea deal with the Department of Justice (DOJ) for two tax misdemeanors. He admitted in court to making money from the Hudson West III arrangement and direct payments from Chinese infrastructure company CEFC before his plea deal imploded.

Special counsel David Weiss continues to scrutinize Biden’s taxes and reportedly subpoenaed James Biden with assistance from a California grand jury.

Comer subpoenaed Hunter Biden and James Biden in November to have them appear before the Oversight Committee for closed-door depositions. James Biden “signaled” his cooperation with the Oversight Committee’s subpoena, Comer said in November.

Abbe D. Lowell, Hunter Biden’s defense attorney, countered with an offer for Hunter Biden to skip the deposition and testify publicly instead. Comer rejected Lowell’s offer and demanded Hunter Biden appear for the deposition before he testifies in a public setting.

Comer is also seeking depositions from multiple former business associates of Hunter Biden’s, including Rob Walker, a business associate who received and distributed $3 million of payments from Chinese business associates, according to bank records released in March.

Over a period of three months in spring 2017, Walker wired incremental payments to Owasco P.C. and other Biden family bank accounts, the documents show.

Walker told the FBI Joe Biden met with his son’s Chinese business associates at least once after his vice presidency concluded, according to a transcript of Walker’s December 2020 interview with federal agents. Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden falsely stated his son never received money from China.

“There is not a single financial transaction between President Biden and his son related to or involving any of Hunter Biden’s business ventures or prior private commercial dealings,” Hunter Biden’s legal team said in a recent memo, according to the Washington Post.

“Hunter Biden’s business transactions were legitimate and well-documented in written agreements, and transactions legally tracked in his businesses’ bank statements.”

Comer, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and House Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith are leading the impeachment inquiry into President Biden. So far, investigators have uncovered more than $24 million received by the Biden family and its business associates from foreign sources over a five year period.

House Republicans are weighing a floor vote on the impeachment inquiry to expand its scope.

Henry Rodgers contributed to this report.

This story has been updated to include more information about Hunter’s payments to Joe Biden.

Just How Good Are The Polls For Donald Trump?

Former President Donald Trump is enjoying unprecedented polling success compared to his 2016 and 2020 White House bids despite battling four criminal indictments, spelling bad news for President Joe Biden’s reelection chances in 2024.

Trump has already led the president in 91 national polls for a hypothetical head-to-head matchup, dwarfing his previous records against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, which he won with 306 Electoral College votes, and Biden in 2020, according to polling data compiled by RealClearPolitics. Additionally, the former president is already faring better in crucial battleground states ahead of 2024 than he did in previous cycles when Trump outperformed the projections both elections, despite his 2020 loss.

This unprecedented polling success, coupled with the fact that Trump has often fared better than his polling average in certain states during previous cycles, bodes well for his chances to win a second term in 2024.

“The research indicates that he should be stronger in 2024 than in the past,” Dr. Charles Bullock, elections expert and political science professor at the University of Georgia, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “In the past, he has run ahead of his polls. So if here in the polls, he’s a few points ahead as opposed to a few points behind, that’s why I think he would be in an even better position.”

Trump was up against Clinton in a total 29 polls in the 2016 election, during which he briefly led in the RCP average during two separate periods, never surpassing a 1.1 point-margin. In 2020, Trump only led Biden in 5 polls all cycle, and never led in the RCP average.

The former president has already reached his largest RCP average lead for a general election as a Republican candidate, achieving a 2.6 point-advantage over Biden nationally on Nov. 26.

“The contrast between Trump’s policies — on the economy, on the border, on immigration, on crime, on national security — the country’s really benefited, and that strategy has worked very, very well. And that’s where these poll numbers come from, because it’s about issues. And he’s been really good,” John McLaughlin, CEO and partner of McLaughlin & Associates, told the DCNF. “He’s a better candidate today than he was in 2016 and 2020. He knows the issues, he’s focused on them, he knows the policies, he knows what he’s got to do … he’s focused on winning this election, and he’ll be a better president once the election is over. He’s making these poll numbers happen.”

The final RCP average for 2016 showed Clinton up by 3.2 points; however, she secured the popular vote by 2.1 points. In 2020, Biden was up by over 7 points in the 2020’s last RCP average, but he only beat Trump by 4.5 points.

The former president is also already faring better in crucial battleground states this year, most of which he won in 2016 and lost in 2020.

In 2016, Trump never led in the RCP average in WisconsinMichigan or Pennsylvania, yet won all three battleground states. The former president was only projected ahead of Clinton in two polls in Michigan and three polls in Pennsylvania, but didn’t lead in a single poll in Wisconsin for the entire cycle.

The former president’s largest lead in the RCP average for Ohio was 3.4 points, but he ended up winning by over 8 points. Trump also over-performed in North Carolina and Florida, winning by larger margins than predicted.

This cycle, Trump is already leading Biden in both Michigan and Pennsylvania for the RCP average by 2 points and 1.5 points, respectively. The former president has already led in four polls this year in Michigan, and in ten in Pennsylvania — nearly beating his records there for both entire cycles in 2016 and 2020.

While Biden is leading by 0.7 points in Wisconsin for the RCP average, Trump has already led in three polls, beating his 2016 record and almost eclipsing that of 2020.

“Americans are getting behind President Trump and his movement because they know this country can’t survive another four years of a disastrous Biden presidency that has divided the entire nation,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told the DCNF in a statement. “Polls show President Trump beating Crooked Joe Biden in the general election because he’s the only person who can supercharge the economy, secure our border, safeguard communities, and put an end to unnecessary wars. Americans want to return to a prosperous nation and there’s only one person who can do that — President Trump.”

Jon McHenry, a GOP polling analyst and vice president at North Star Opinion Research, doesn’t believe the polling comparisons are necessarily indicative of Trump’s popularity over Biden.

“I don’t think the polls actually say a ton about the former president, other than he is running against a historically unpopular incumbent,” McHenry told the DCNF. “President Biden is flailing badly in trying to run on his record. Our survey in Arizona for the League of American Workers showed that voters view the term ‘Bidenomics’ unfavorably by a nearly two-to-one margin, and disapprove of the President’s job on the economy by a 60 to 38 percent margin. He’s going to be left with a negative campaign, and hoping that if it is former President Trump he’s carrying several convictions.”

Biden’s November approval rating of 37% is the lowest any incumbent president has had going into their reelection year in recent history, according to Gallup. Former Democratic President Jimmy Carter comes closest at 40% from November 1979, and he went on to lose to Republican President Ronald Reagan the following year by nearly 10 points.

The RCP average for a 2024 national Republican primary, based on polls conducted between Nov. 9 and Nov. 28, indicates Trump has a 48-point lead over the field, followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at 13.6%, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley at 9.6%, conservative businessman Vivek Ramaswamy at 4.8% and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 2.2%.

In the Democratic primary field, which Biden has kept largely to himself, the president holds 69.7% support ahead of self-help author Marianne Williamson with 9% and Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips with 3.5%, according to the RCP average for the same time period.

Biden did not immediately respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

Hamas Likely Holding American Hostages As Leverage Against Biden Admin, Experts Warn

  • Hamas is releasing dozens of hostages, including Israelis, foreign nationals and a small number of Americans, in exchange for continued pauses in conflict with Israel.
  • Hamas is likely holding on to the American hostages for as long as possible to pressure the Biden administration to continue calling for pauses, as bringing Americans home has been made a top priority, experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
  • “Hamas is getting guidance from the Iranian regime on its hostage strategy. They both understand that American hostages are particularly valuable,” Gabriel Noronha, former special advisor for the State Department, told the DCNF.

Hamas could be retaining American hostages to pressure the Biden administration to keep pushing for pauses in Israel’s counteroffensive in the Gaza Strip, according to foreign policy experts and former government officials who spoke to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Hamas is releasing dozens of hostages, including Israelis, foreign nationals and a small number of Americans, in exchange for temporary pauses in the conflict with Israel as part of a truce deal that was agreed to last Tuesday and extended on Thursday, according to the Associated Press. It is likely Hamas could be retaining as many American hostages as possible so that the Biden administration will push for more pauses in the conflict, in the hopes of their eventual release, experts told the DCNF.

“Hamas clearly sees a strategic utility in delaying Israeli punishment for as long as possible,” Behnam Ben Taleblu, senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told the DCNF. “To that end, they are using hostages, particularly foreign and American hostages, as human shields to push for additional pauses in the conflict amid lopsided hostage deals.”

“Hamas is likely retaining as many American hostages as possible for leverage, in order to extend and expand the ceasefire,” Simone Ledeen, former deputy assistant secretary of defense for Middle East policy and Strauss Center senior fellow, told the DCNF. “We can assume that the American hostages are being held in the same bleak conditions as have been described by the released hostages.”

Over 100 hostages, including four Americans, have been released by Hamas since Oct. 7, according to The Washington Post. Hamas still retains approximately 143 hostages, including seven Americans – although that number has not been independently verified outside of Israeli intelligence, according to the Washington Post and USA Today.

Two Americans, a mother and her daughter, were released by Hamas on Oct. 20, separate from the current truce deal. Another American, a four-year-old whose parents were reportedly killed during the Oct. 7 attacks, was freed on Sunday, and the latest release was an American woman on Wednesday, according to Axios.

The Biden administration has been vocal that freeing these Americans is a top priority, though President Joe Biden said on Friday that “we don’t know” the timeline for their release. The administration has been vocally supportive of the ongoing pauses in the conflict between Israel and Hamas to secure more hostage releases, as well as to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, according to The Wall Street Journal.

CIA Director William Burns traveled to Doha on Tuesday for a secret meeting with an Israeli intelligence official and Qatar’s prime minister to discuss continuing pauses for the release of more hostages, according to the Post. Burns stressed to the officials that it was of prime concern that Americans be released swiftly.

Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East and retired CIA Paramilitary Operations Officer Michael Mulroy told the DCNF that Burn’s trip underscored the Biden administration’s desire to bring Americans home at the cost of extended pauses in the conflict, noting that he thought Hamas might be taking advantage of this position.

“Yes, it is possible that Hamas will keep American hostages until the end to leverage the US to pressure the Israeli government to extend the truce,” Mulroy told the DCNF. “I believe this is a real concern of the White House and likely one of the reasons the Director of CIA [was in Doha] and Secretary Blinken is going back to the region soon.”

“Could it be because they want the U.S. to push for more ‘pauses’ in the conflict, so that it can bring home more hostages?” Mulroy said. “Absolutely. That is the concern.”

National Security Council Spokesman John Kirby said during a press gaggle on Tuesday that he thought there was “no indication” that Hamas is retaining American hostages as leverage. But Iran, Hamas’ patron, has used American hostages as leverage against the Biden administration before, most recently to acquire $6 billion in previously frozen assets in exchange for five Americans, former Special Advisor for the State Department Gabriel Noronha told the DCNF.

“Hamas is getting guidance from the Iranian regime on its hostage strategy. They both understand that American hostages are particularly valuable – especially after President Biden showed his willingness to pay $6 billion earlier this year in ransom payment,” Noronha told the DCNF. “Each additional American hostage they offer to release is also more leverage they can put on the Biden Administration to pressure Israel to accept these agreements (referring to the continuation of ceasefires).”

The truce between Israel and Hamas will expire on Friday, though it could be extended into next week, according to the WSJ. It is unclear whether American hostages will be among those released during that time frame.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Biden apologizes to Muslim leaders in U.S. for questioning Hamas death toll

Why would anyone expect truth from a people who indoctrinate their children to hate and murder Israelis, spread lies including blood libels, celebrate “martyrdom” and use human shields? The nature of jihad war was revealed on October 7. Jihad is savage, and marked by deceit. The deceit is the hallmark of the stealth jihad, which skillfully employs propaganda.

Taqiyya (dissimulation) is an encouraged practice in Islam, backed by a Qur’anic verse:

And they [the disbelievers] schemed, and Allah schemed: and Allah is the best of schemers.  Quran 3:54

As accurately stated about Palestinian culture by former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak:

“They are products of a culture in which to tell a lie… creates no dissonance….They don’t suffer from the problem of telling lies that exists in Judeo-Christian culture….Truth is seen as an irrelevant category……There is only that which serves your purpose and that which doesn’t. They see themselves as emissaries of a national movement for whom everything is permissible. There is no such thing as ‘the truth’.”

Yet despite copious evidence regarding the Palestinian zeal for the “resistance” no matter what, Biden is still groveling to Muslims. He’s likely trying to salvage a prior vow he made to serve Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups in exchange for their votes. Biden still faces the stark truth, as other Western leaders do: that Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood have offshoots all over America and other Western countries.

Biden offers apology to Muslim-American leaders for questioning Hamas death toll: report

by Stepheny Price, Fox News, November 26, 2023:

President Biden reportedly issued an apology to several prominent Muslim-American leaders after openly questioning the accuracy of the death toll figures from Gaza.

During a press conference on Oct. 25, President Biden openly questioned the number of causalities in Gaza, which are reported by the Hamas government.

“I have no notion that the Palestinians are telling the truth about how many people are killed,” Biden said. “I’m sure innocents have been killed, and it’s a price of waging war.”

Biden met with five Muslim American leaders the day after his Oct. 25 comments about reported Gaza deaths.

During the meeting, Biden listened to the leaders describe people they knew who were directly impacted by the conflict in the Middle East.

“I’m sorry. I’m disappointed in myself,” Biden told the group, according to the Washington Post.

The Muslim-American leaders who met with Biden urged him to show more empathy to the Palestinians and Biden allegedly hugged one of the participants at the end of the meeting….

‘Malpractice’: Dems Are Freaking Out Over Biden’s 2024 Reelection Plan

Democrats are growing increasingly concerned over how President Joe Biden is approaching his bid to win reelection in 2024, The Washington Post reported Sunday.

As Trump continues to lead Biden in a series of national and crucial battleground state polls, Democratic donors, elected officials, administration aides, campaign staff and strategists have great angst that the president could lose a second term, according to the Post. Many Democrats pointed to Biden’s age, his campaign’s lack of strategy, failure to sell what the campaign views as economic achievements and more in interviews with the outlet, largely on the condition of anonymity.

“The bad news is that everybody is wetting the bed inside of Biden world,” a fundraiser told the Post. “It’s really an unhappy confluence of Biden world donors’ cocktail party friends saying ‘Can’t you get him not to run,’ which is stupid and absurd if you know Joe Biden.”

Others expressed concern to the outlet over the lack of polling on certain issues that could help streamline the Biden campaign’s reelection strategy.

“The absence of polling explains stuff like ‘Bidenomics,’” a national Democratic consultant told the Post of the campaign’s economic policy platform. “It’s just malpractice.”

Some Democrats are also worried about the campaign’s lack of a plan to secure another term and what a second administration would look like, according to the Post.

“How many times in 2020 did you hear the president say, ‘Don’t compare me to the almighty — compare me to the alternative,’” David Axelrod, former senior adviser to President Barack Obama, told the Post. “Well, if I were them, I’d say, ‘Let the comparison begin,’ and push it on the contrast in values and policies and results that work for them.”

Multiple recent surveys have found Biden trailing Trump in crucial battleground states, including a New York Times/Siena College poll released Nov. 5 that suggested the president would lose in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Biden holds the Democratic primary field largely to himself, with only Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips and self-help author Marianne Williamson in the running. The RealClearPolitics average for a 2024 national Democratic primary, based on polls conducted between Oct. 27 and Nov. 14, indicates Biden is leading the small field with 72%, followed by Williamson with 7.8% and Phillips with 4.8%.

“Joe Biden is not a perfect person — no such person exists — and he has strengths and weaknesses as a candidate, to be sure, but he will be the Democratic Party’s nominee,” Democratic strategist and fundraiser Dmitri Mehlhorn told the Post. “Joe Biden is going to be the nominee, and he is the best bet to beat Donald Trump, and people have to help us make that happen because the alternative is Donald Trump and is a catastrophe for American democracy.”

Biden’s campaign did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

BOB EHRLICH: Dems’ Unprecedented Effort To Bring Down Trump Could Totally Backfire

Not so long ago (2002), distraught Minnesota Democrats famously transformed a memorial service for Senator Paul Wellstone (killed along with his wife, daughter and three campaign staffer in a plane crash) into a partisan campaign rally.

One lowlight of the day was the specter of Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott being booed while entering the service while well-known Democrat attendees were cheered. But that wasn’t the half of it: Wellstone’s campaign treasurer turned his eulogy for the beloved senator into a signal call to elect a Democrat to take his place, ([to] “redeem the sacrifice of his life if you help us win this election for Paul Wellstone.”)

A mourning public made known its collective displeasure with the spectacle through a barrage of negative reviews on television, radio and the newspapers – this being the pre-social media dark ages.

The historic nature of the self-inflicted wound would come to light days later when the voters of the reliably blue state rebuffed favorite son and former Vice President Walter Mondale in favor of upstart Republican Norm Coleman.

At the time, the issue of Senate judicial selections was all the rage in Washington, D.C. Accordingly, the partisans in attendance were terrified at the prospect of a new GOP senator helping place more conservatives on the federal bench. Hence, the acting out. But to no avail. Score one for bad behavior punished.

Now think back to early 2017 and the arrival of Donald J. Trump (aka “The Menace”) at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Such was interpreted as yet another existential threat to the Democratic establishment. And so the acting out soon recurred.

First there was the contesting of electors at the Electoral College (Where have we seen this before?).Then, the introduction of Articles of Impeachment during his first year in office.

But all that was merely a stage setter for the multi-year, multi-tiered media and Hillary Clinton and executive branch misinformation campaign about how the dually elected president of the United States was in reality a Russian agent in cahoots with Vladimir Putin.

Here was an attempt to prove the unthinkable, which in the end was indeed proven … unthinkable BUT quite useful and effective as the guy who spent most of the 2020 campaign in his basement garnered 80 million votes to defeat The Menace.

The bottom line: The antagonists got their scalp, even if it took years of innuendo and half-truths and media manipulation to do it. Score one for bad behavior rewarded.

Now comes Act 3. It concerns four (really five, counting the civil action in New York against Trump, Inc.) legal actions brought against Mr. Trump by three different prosecutors.

That two of the prosecutors literally campaigned on a “Get Trump” platform (Is that even ethical?) is of no concern to the Trump antagonists. In the same vein, the fact that even lefty pundits have been unimpressed with the substance of the criminal counts (especially the corporate records/Stormy Daniels “cover-up”) is equally inapposite.

You see, the entire exercise has but one purpose: End The Menace’s career – by whatever means possible – and don’t sweat the details.

And so, a campaign of relentless legal persecution commenced in order to – (1.) Tie The Menace up in courtrooms for the next year, and (2.) Generate at the very least one guilty verdict, somewhere and somehow.

To recap: Unhinged Minnesota Democrats acting out in inappropriate ways cost Senate Democrats big time about 20 years ago. An even more unhinged, but ultimately successful campaign of character assassination bought the fruits of victory in 2020. And now, Act Three unfolds daily before our eyes – this time featuring the full force and effect of government prosecutors brought to bear.

How will it all play out? Will The Menace be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of litigation instigated in a number of inhospitable venues?

Or will the unprecedented overkill transform The Menace into enough of a sympathetic figure to tip the scales on election day?

Nobody knows the answers of course. But recent polls reflect a far more difficult road than the antagonists could ever have expected.

‘I’m F*ckin’ Sorry!’: Notorious Trump Hater Says Voting For Him ‘Is On The Table’

Actor and comedian Michael Rappaport stated in a video Wednesday that voting for former President Donald Trump “is on the table” for the celebrity, apologizing for his possible vote toward the Republican candidate.

Rappaport, 53, posted a 30-second video Thursday on X, originally from a longer video on Wednesday, stating that if the 2024 presidential election came down between Democrat President Joe Biden and Trump, he would now be considering casting his vote towards the Republican.

“If it comes down to pig d*ck Donald Trump and smokin Joe Biden. I’m sorry, I am sorry – voting for pig d*ck Donald Trump is on the table,” Rappaport stated.

“Im sorry! Im f*cking – I’ll still call him slob d*ck Donald Trump, pig d*ck Donald Trump, and all that. But we need to get this whole f*cking situation under control.”

Rappaport has been a notable criticizer of Trump, calling the former president a slew of insults of the years such as “derogatory,” “divisive,” and “slob,” according to videos online. However, since the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel, antisemitism in America has jumped within the country, displays of aggression anti-Israel protesting have been rising forcing some to stand up for Jewish people.

Within New York City alone, which holds approximately 1.6 million Jewish residents, antisemitic incidents increased over 300 percent in October, according to data from the New York Police Department. Rappaport has been an outspoken criticizer of pro-Hamas rallies and antisemitic attacks within the city.

“For d*ck stain Donald Trump, who I had conversations with, I might vote for that motherf*cker. Oh yea, I’ll break the f*cking – Oh yea, I’ll break your hearts. Let me tell you something, if things don’t get straightened up in this f*cking world ASAP, and I know smokin Joe has said the right thing about Israel,” Rapport stated in his original video.

“But when I’m seein motherf*ckers in New York City climb in public in front of crowds of people – rip down UN flag, rip down Israeli flags, rip down American flags on Veterans Day. When the economy is the way the economy is. When I’m paying f*cking mortgage up the – I mean I’m getting – forget a colonoscopy! You don’t need to get a colposcopy. Go buy a house!”

Trump has been rising within the polls against Biden, specifically for six major swing states that Biden had previously secured in 2020. In a hypothetical general election between Biden, Trump and Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the former president is ahead by two points holding 32 percent of the votes, according to a Nov. 14 Reuters/Ipsos poll.

Comer Unveils Bank Records Showing Joe Biden Received $40,000 Of ‘Laundered’ Chinese Money

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer released bank records Wednesday showing President Joe Biden previously took a $40,000 check from his family members soon after they received the money from Chinese business associates.

Comer posted a video on X outlining bank records which show how various Biden family members took money from Chinese business associates and wired it to Joe Biden shortly thereafter.

“Well, not only did he lie about his son Hunter making money in China, but it also turns out that $40,000 in laundered China money landed in Joe Biden’s bank account in the form of a personal check,” Comer says in the video. “First, Northern International Capital, a Chinese company associated with CEFC, wired $5,000,000 to Hudson West III, a joint venture established by Hunter Biden and a CEFC associate.”

“Then, Hudson West III sent $400,000 to an entity owned and controlled by Hunter Biden. Next, Hunter Biden wired $150,000 to Lion Hall Group, a company owned by Joe Biden’s brother James and sister-in-law Sara Biden. Sara Biden then withdrew $50,000 in cash from Lion Hall Group,” Comer continues.

“Later the same day, she deposited it into her and James Biden’s personal checking account. A few days later, Sara Biden cut a check to Joe Biden for $40,000. The memo line of the check said, ‘loan repayment.’”

The Oversight Committee released a memo containing bank records of the transactions between the Biden family and its Chinese business associates which resulted in Joe Biden taking $40,000 of Chinese money in September 2017. Hunter Biden told his office manager he was “office mates” with Joe Biden and CEFC in late September 2017, around the time Joe Biden received a $40,000 check from money originating in China.

READ THE MEMO:

The bank records indicate Hunter Biden wired $400,000 to his Owasco account on Aug. 8, 2017, the same day Hudson West III was sent $5 million. He sent $130,000 from Owasco to his Rosemont Seneca Advisors LLC account, an LLC he previously used to purchase his Porsche.

Hunter Biden wired $150,000 from Owasco to James and Sara Biden’s Lion Hall Group on Aug. 17, 2017, the bank records show. Lion Hall’s balance was reduced to $115,822 because of purchases made between Aug. 14 and Aug. 25, 2017, after the funds came in from Hunter Biden.

Sara Biden wired $50,000 from Lion Hall on Aug. 28, 2017, and $50,000 was deposited into her personal account with her husband on the same day. Sara and James Biden’s personal account had a $46.88 balance prior to the $50,000 deposit, bank records show. She sent the check to Joe Biden on Sept. 3, 2017, for a “loan repayment” less than a month after James Biden’s business relationship with Hudson West III began.

James Biden’s Lion Hall Group took payments directly from Hudson West III throughout 2018 for a total of more than $76,000, the bank records show.

The memo lays out the Biden family’s relationship with CEFC, which began when Joe Biden was vice president, according to an FBI FD-302 summarizing an interview with Hunter Biden’s former business associate, Tony Bobulinski.

“CEFC had used its relationship with HUNTER BIDEN and JAMES BIDEN – and the influence attached to the BIDEN name – to advance CEFC’s interests abroad. HUNTER BIDEN and JAMES BIDEN did not receive any monetary compensation for their assistance in these projects. HUNTER BIDEN and JAMES BIDEN did not receive any compensation because JOSEPH BIDEN was still VPOTUS during this time period,” the document reads.

Bobulinski provided the FBI with a hard drive full of communications with Hunter Biden, and told the FBI the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop reporting was real, the FD-302 form states.

The New York Post first reported on the contents of Biden’s abandoned laptop in October 2020, ahead of the presidential election. One email thread shared by the New York Post included an email from Hunter Biden’s business associate James Gilliar in which he floated giving Joe Biden a 10% equity stake in a business deal.

“10 held by H for the big guy?” Gilliar asked Hunter Biden, Bobulinski and former business associate Rob Walker. The $40,000 Joe Biden received appears to be a 10% cut of the $400,000 Hunter Biden wired to himself from the Hudson West III business in August 2017.

In the email thread, Gilliar appeared to be referring to a proposed $10 million joint venture with CEFC called “sinohawk,” and Bobulinski said he spoke about the deal with Joe Biden at a Beverly Hills, California, hotel in May 2017.

“BOBULINSKI stated that he was in possession of multiple texts from HUNTER BIDEN and JAMES BIDEN asking BOBULINSKI to leave JOSEPH BIDEN out of any written communications,” the FD-302 form reads. The texts Bobulinski spoke about were shared by the Oversight Committee.

“Further, BOBULINSKI met with JOSEPH BIDEN inperson on May 2, 2017 at approximately 10:30 PM at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel bar in Beverly Hills, California where they discussed SINOHAWK. On the following day, May 3, 2017, BOBULINSKI was JOSEPH BIDEN’s guest at the Milken Institute conference, where JOSEPH BIDEN was a speaker. After his speech, BOBULINSKI met with JOSEPH BIDEN for about fifteen minutes backstage,” the form adds.

A page on the Milken Institute’s website confirms Joe Biden’s speech delivered in May 2017 after his vice presidency had concluded. Republican South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace went through the details of Bobulinski’s FD-302 form at the first impeachment hearing into President Biden. (RELATED: FBI, DOJ Officials Were ‘Openly Mocking’ Congressional Inquiries Into Hunter Biden Investigation, Memo Alleges)

In addition, the bank records memo cites an FBI interview with Walker in which he described a meeting Joe Biden allegedly attended with CEFC associates after his vice presidency. Walker agreed with his FBI interviewer who characterized Joe Biden’s presence as a move by Hunter Biden to secure a deal with CEFC, according to a transcript of his interview.

Walker also indicated that he golfed with Joe Biden up to a dozen times, typically at Hunter Biden’s invitation, the transcript shows. Walker recalled a golf outing with then-Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden and the late Beau Biden at the Bulle Rock golf course in Havre de Grace, Maryland, which an email from Hunter Biden’s laptop archive appears to confirm.

Walker received $3 million from Chinese firm State Energy HK, an account described by the FBI as a CEFC cutout on an FBI FD-302 summarizing Walker’s interview. Bank records released in March by the Oversight Committee show Walker sent roughly $1 million of the State Energy HK money to the Biden family. The Oversight Committee has requested Walker appear for an interview before the Committee.

Hunter Biden and James Biden entered into a business arrangement with CEFC called Hudson West III in August 2017, according to the Oversight Committee. Hunter Biden admitted in court to the business arrangement with CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming, a Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-linked businessman who was arrested by Chinese authorities on bribery charges.

James Biden told FBI and IRS investigators during an interview that Hunter Biden compared Jianming to CCP leader Xi Jinping to promote CEFC, according to an internal memo released by the Ways and Means Committee. He also told investigators he was only paid by Hudson West through Hunter Biden’s Owasco account, a claim contradicted by the Oversight Committee’s bank records, according to the bank records memo. (RELATED: FBI Received ‘Criminal Information’ On Joe And Hunter Biden From Over 40 Confidential Sources, Sen Grassley Finds)

Hunter Biden’s failed guilty plea with the Department of Justice (DOJ) says he made just under $1 million in 2017 from Hudson West III. He also made more than $600,000 from CEFC in the same year, including and a $100,000 payment Hunter Biden received a day after he sent a boastful text to a CEFC associate.

“The Biden’s [sic] are the best I know at doing exactly what the Chairman wants,” Hunter Biden wrote Aug. 3, 2017, the Oversight Committee revealed in June. The next day, CEFC sent $100,000 to Hunter Biden’s Owasco P.C. shell company.

A few days earlier, Hunter Biden sent a Chinese business associate a threatening text invoking his father’s presence in the room, IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley disclosed when he testified to the Ways and Means Committee in May. The transcript of Shapley’s testimony was publicized in late June.

“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight,” Hunter Biden texted, according to Shapley.

“And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father,” Biden added, Shapley testified.

Images from Hunter Biden’s laptop archive show he was with his father on the day he allegedly sent the threatening text, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

Hunter Biden received two payments from Chinese business associates with Joe Biden’s Delaware residence listed as the beneficiary address, the Oversight Committee disclosed in September.

One of those payments was a $250,000 loan in August 2019 from Chinese business associate Jonathan Li, who Joe Biden got coffee with in Beijing and whose daughter secured a college recommendation letter from then-Vice President Biden, Hunter Biden’s former business associate Devon Archer testified to the Oversight Committee in July.

Hunter Biden was living in California and recovering from addiction at the time of the payments from China featuring Joe Biden’s residence as the beneficiary address, his failed guilty plea indicates. Hunter Biden’s purported financial benefactor, Kevin Morris, later assumed the loan debt, according to the Oversight Committee. Morris was previously identified as the donor who paid roughly $2 million of Hunter Biden’s overdue taxes.

James Biden told investigators he thanked Morris “on behalf of the family” for assisting Hunter Biden, while denying any knowledge of Morris’ relationship with the younger Biden, the IRS memo shows. Morris is reportedly helping Hunter Biden pay his mounting legal bills and advising him to take an aggressive legal stance against his political opponents.

Joe Biden was running for the Democratic presidential nomination at the time of Li’s payment. Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden falsely claimed his son did not make any money from China during a debate against then-incumbent President Donald Trump.

The White House responded to the payments by downplaying the significance of Chinese business associates using Joe Biden’s residence as the beneficiary address.

The Oversight Committee subpoenaed Hunter Biden and James Biden’s bank records in September, after the first impeachment inquiry hearing. Comer previously revealed on X a $200,000 payment James Biden sent to Joe Biden on the same day James Biden took on a $200,000 loan from distressed healthcare firm Americore.

James Biden signaled to Americore his last name would “open doors” and promised the company a significant investment from the Middle East, bankruptcy court filings show. The White House defended James Biden’s payment by pointing out that his check classifies the $200,000 as a “loan repayment,” a claim Comer says was not substantiated by the bank records in his possession.

“We previously exposed a $200,000 payment James made to his brother Joe that came from funds provided by a now bankrupt health care company called Americore. Like the payment to Joe from Americore funds, it’s certainly plausible that this payment where James and Sara used funds from China was indeed a loan repayment to Joe,” Comer says in his latest X video.

“But even if this $40,000 check was a loan repayment from James Biden, it still shows how Joe benefited from his family cashing in on his name – with money from China no less. Without his family peddling his name and his son threatening a CEFC associate with consequences that he said Joe Biden knew about, James wouldn’t have had the money to write the $40,000 check to his brother Joe,” he adds.

The House Ways and Means Committee released the FBI documents in September alongside a trove of documents supporting the testimony of IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler. Both whistleblowers have accused the DOJ of giving Hunter Biden special treatment during its ongoing investigation into his taxes and firearms possession.

Ziegler confirmed the payments from State Energy HK when he testified publicly in July. He also said the Hudson West III business arrangement brought in $3.7 million for all parties involved.

Hunter Biden is suing the IRS because of what his legal team believes are illegal disclosures by the whistleblowers in their testimony and media appearances. He was indicted in September on three federal gun charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

The Biden family and its business associates brought in more than $24 million from Ukraine, Russia, China, Romania and Kazakhstan from 2014-19, according to a House memo publicized prior to the first impeachment inquiry hearing.

The $24 million figure came from suspicious activity reports sent to the Treasury Department by financial services providers, Comer said during the hearing.

The White House in June said Joe Biden was “not in business” with his son upon the release of Shapley’s testimony.

“Comer’s lies and conspiracy theories are getting more desperate by the day,” White House spokesman Ian Sams said on X when the bank records were released. “This has been widely debunked for more than a week now.”
