U.S. Secret Service agents shot and killed an unidentified man attempting to force his way into President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida early Sunday morning.
The two agents and a deputy from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office confronted the individual, who was in his early 20s, armed with a shotgun, and carrying a gas can, according to a press conference held by federal and local law enforcement officials following a statement from the U.S. Secret Service.

“At 1:30 this morning the security detail detected an individual had made his way into the inner perimeter of Mar-a-Lago. A deputy and two Secret Service agents on the detail went to that area to investigate,” Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw told reporters at the Sunday morning press conference. “They confronted a white male that was carrying a gas can and a shotgun. He was ordered to drop those two pieces of equipment that he had with him and, at which time he put down the gas can, raised the shotgun to a shooting position, and at that point in time the deputy and the two Secret Service agents fired their weapons and neutralized the threat. He is deceased at the scene.”
Trump was not at the Florida residence at the time. He and first lady Melania Trump hosted the nation’s governors at the White House for a dinner event Saturday night.
Trump survived two assassinationattempts during the 2024 campaign. A Sept. 15, 2024 assassination attempt by Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, was thwarted by Secret Service agents at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.
During a July 13, 2024 campaign rally in Butler County, Penn., Trump was wounded when a bullet fired by Thomas Crooks grazed his ear.

Anna told the Caller that several politicians are working on trying to get her a meeting with the president-elect.
“I think it would be totally amazing if I had a meeting with him within a day of asking for one, after waiting this long for a meeting with President Biden, and I am desperate,” Anna said.

Ryan Corbett, a U.S. citizen from upstate New York, previously lived in Afghanistan with his family from 2010 to 2021, according to a website dedicated to bringing him home. Corbett was running local NGOs in Afghanistan before starting a microloan and consulting business in the country.
Corbett left Afghanistan after the Taliban’s takeover but made the decision to go back to get his business visa renewed and visit his staff in January 2022. During a second visit using his business visa in August 2022, Corbett was captured by the Taliban.
Over the last two years, Anna Corbett has made 16 trips to Washington, D.C., in an attempt to meet with President Joe Biden about a potential deal to rescue her husband, she previously told The Wall Street Journal (WSJ). But in all 16 trips, Biden has never met with Anna.
But Anna is is hopeful that Trump can help her get something done.
“President Trump is a deal man. He has a strong track record of making really tough and significant deals,” a spokesperson for Anna told the Caller.
“The president of the United States, their job is to make the hardest decisions. That’s the stuff that gets to the desk. And for 883 days, Anna has been trying to get President Biden to make those hard decisions, and he hasn’t been willing to do it. And we’re hopeful that this will be different,” the spokesperson added.
With his term coming to an end, Biden reportedly has a deal on the table to rescue Corbett. Biden’s administration has been in talks with the Taliban about an agreement since at least July, and proposed in November that the group release three Americans — George Glezmann, Ryan Corbett and Mahmoud Habibi — in exchange for Muhammad Rahim al Afghani, an Afghan who the U.S. government claims was a high-ranking al Qaeda aide, sources told the WSJ.
The Taliban countered the Biden administration’s deal the same day it was offered, the WSJ reported. The Taliban proposed receiving Rahim and two others for Glezmann and Corbett. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan reportedly told the House Foreign Affairs Committee in December that Biden has yet to decide on the deal.
“President Biden’s term is almost over. Before he goes there is talk that he may trade a Guantanamo, al Qaeda detainee for three American hostages held by the Taliban. Should he do that?” Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Trump on Thursday.
“Well I haven’t looked at it, I will be looking at it. They are showing me tomorrow morning, they are showing me the trade … I haven’t been in favor of the trades they have made, but I am taking a look tomorrow. We will have something to announce tomorrow,” Trump answered.
Anna wants to make the pitch directly to Trump to get her husband home for her family. Captured for nearly two and a half years, Anna explained that Ryan has missed their three kids, Ketsia, 19, Miriam, 17 and Caleb, 14, grow up.
“We’re really close to family, and we’ve done everything together. Living overseas together had a lot of challenges. The children having to transition back to a new life in Western New York, without Ryan, going through so many changes and opportunities, and having Ryan miss all of that has just been very, very difficult for us,” an emotional Corbett told the Caller.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was set to meet former U.S. President Donald Trump at the latter’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., on Friday.
“Looking forward to welcoming Bibi Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago,” Trump said earlier this week. “During my first term, we had peace and stability in the region, even signing the historic Abraham Accords, and we will have it again.”
Ahead of their meeting, an Israeli official revealed that Netanyahu called Trump on July 4, in what was reportedly their first conversation since January 2021.
Trump has said he felt slighted when the Israeli leader congratulated President Joe Biden for winning the 2020 U.S. election.
On Wednesday, Trump, who is the Republican nominee for his old job, declined to commit to changing Biden’s policy of slow-walking weapon shipments to Israel.
Asked on Fox News morning program “Fox and Friends” if he would, as president, fast-track arms transfers to the Jewish state, Trump dodged the question, hours after Netanyahu made that request during an address to a joint session of the U.S. Congress.
Instead, Trump focused on Israel finishing the war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. “I would make sure that it gets over with fast. You have to end this fast,” he said.
“They gotta get this done fast because the world is not taking lightly to it,” added Trump, while again claiming that Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre “would’ve never happened” if he were president.
On Tuesday, Trump shared on his Truth Social media platform a letter that he received from Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas condemning the assassination attempt against the former U.S. president.
The letter was sent from Ramallah on July 14, the day after Trump was shot in the ear while speaking on stage at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Abbas wrote that “acts of violence must not have a place in a world of law and order. Respect for the other with tolerance and valuing of human life is what must prevail.”
Abbas has been repeatedly criticized for promoting violence through the P.A.’s “pay-to-slay” policy of financially compensating terrorists and the families of terrorists who murder or attempt to murder Israelis.
His Fatah faction, which rules parts of Judea and Samaria, on Tuesday signed a unity agreement that includes Hamas.
Trump responded to Abbas with a signed handwritten note on the letter: “So nice. Thank you. Everything will be good. Best wishes.”
On Friday, the Israeli official described Trump’s relationship with Netanyahu as “good.”

The Biden administration authorized the use of deadly force during the FBI’s raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida in August 2022 as part of its investigation into classified records, court documents revealed.
“The FBI followed standard protocol in this search as we do for all search warrants, which includes a standard policy statement limiting the use of deadly force. No one ordered additional steps to be taken and there was no departure from the norm in this matter,” the FBI told Fox News in a statement Tuesday.
An “Operations Order” produced in discovery as part of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump’s alleged improper retention of classified records revealed that the “FBI believed its objective for the Mar-a-Lago raid was to seize ‘classified information, NDI, and US Government records,’” as described in the search warrant.
The order, according to a court filing, contained a “Policy Statement” regarding “Use of Deadly Force,” which stated, for example, “Law Enforcement officers of the Department of Justice may use deadly force when necessary.”
According to the filing, the DOJ and FBI agents “planned to bring ‘Standard Issue Weapons,’ ‘Ammo,’ ‘Handcuffs,’ and ‘medium and large sized bolt cutters,’ but they were instructed to wear ‘unmarked polo or collared shirts’ and to keep ‘law enforcement equipment concealed.”

Former President Donald Trump’s team announced their plans for 2023, laying out their “overwhelming” campaign strategy for the next presidential election.
The campaign is rolling out “top-level teams in early voting states” and expanding its “massive data operation” to “wage an overwhelming campaign that’s never been seen before,” the former president’s spokesperson, Steven Cheung, told the Daily Caller.
Trump officially announced his 2024 bid Nov. 15 at Mar-a-Lago. Since his announcement, Trump has attended events with the Republican Jewish Coalition, America First Policy Institute, Log Cabin Republicans and the 14th Annual President’s Conference of Torah Umesorah.
He also attended galas with American Freedom Tour and Helping a Hero, participated in the Georgia runoff tele-rally, conducted numerous interviews and video appearances, and met with members of Congress, Cheung said.
Trump has released videos on freedom of speech, the Omnibus and the Jan. 6 Committee’s final report, promising in his first video that he would ban the federal government from censoring the “lawful speech of American citizens” in one of his first acts.
“There will be more policy related events and President Trump will continue to lead on key issues like [he] has done on free speech and the border crisis in the past few weeks. Additionally, more print, on-camera, and radio interviews with the press have been scheduled so President Trump can lay out his vision for the campaign and highlight Joe Biden’s disastrous policies that have made America less safe and less prosperous,” Cheung said.
Somepolls indicate that Trump’s 2024 support has wavered with Republicans, especially after the results of the midterm elections. Some former officials from the Trump administration, like former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former Vice President Mike Pence, seem to have expressed some degree of doubt over the president and his effect on the party.
“I think we’ll have better choices … than my old running mate,” said Pence. “I think America longs to go back to the policies that were working for the American people, but I think it’s time for new leadership in this country that will bring us together around our highest ideals.”
Trump’s 2024 plans were hardly mentioned on stage at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, the largest multi-day conservative conference. Speakers like Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley refused to say if they would endorse Trump in a matchup against Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Some speakers told the Caller offstage that they would be endorsing Trump over a possible challenge from DeSantis.
“Donald Trump is the guy. He’s the guy. He’s the leader of the clubhouse. Ron DeSantis is great — great governor, my governor — but right now, there’s one person running. It’s Donald Trump. That’s it,” Republican Florida Rep. Byron Donalds said.
“Ron will be president one day. He’s a great guy, a great leader, but in this moment, President Trump has a unique ability to marshal the populist energy that can break through the corrupt establishment,” Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz said.
Trump also holds endorsements from Republicans, Cheung said, including Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville, New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, Texas Rep. Troy Nehls, Illinois Rep. Mary Miller, Ohio Rep. Mike Carey, Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson, Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Louisiana Rep. Clay Higgins, Alabama Rep. Barry Moore, Texas Rep.-elect Wesley Hunt, Ohio Rep.-elect Max Miller, Arizona Rep.-elect Eli Crane, Alabama Rep.-elect Dale Strong, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, Kari Lake and the New York Young Republicans Club.
Former President Donald Trump’s lawyers requested the Supreme Court to overturn a lower court’s ruling regarding the Mar-a-Lago raid, saying Tuesday that not allowing the Special Master to review all the seized documents “erodes public confidence in our system of justice.”
On Sept. 21, the 11th Circuit allowed the Department of Justice (DOJ) to keep looking at “classified” documents the FBI seized from Trump’s Florida residence in August, after the DOJ appealed their case.
Judge Aileen Cannon had previously put a pause on the DOJ’s review while a neutral Special Master was being appointed to review all documents, but after the appeals court’s ruling, the third party watchdog can only review materials not bearing classification markings.
The DOJ now has access to roughly 100 documents bearing classification markings, which Trump’s lawyers have claimed were declassified by the former president.
Trump’s request to the Supreme Court was specifically addressed to Justice Clarence Thomas, and asks for the Special Master to have access to the “classified” materials again, claiming that the 11th Circuit “lacked jurisdiction” to stay Cannon’s order.
“This unwarranted stay should be vacated as it impairs substantially the ongoing, time-sensitive work of the Special Master. Moreover, any limit on the comprehensive and transparent review of materials seized in the extraordinary raid of a President’s home erodes public confidence in our system of justice,” the application to the Supreme Court read.
The DOJ has claimed it needs to review the “classified” materials due to their potential of being national security risks. The 11th Circuit mentioned this concern in their ruling, stating, “It is self-evident that the public has a strong interest in ensuring that the storage of the classified records did not result in ‘exceptionally grave damage to the national security.’”
In the request to the Supreme Court, Trump’s lawyers state that the Special Master looking over all documents before the Biden administration’s DOJ has access is an “intermediary procedural step to conduct an orderly, transparent, and fair review of the seized materials.”
U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon decided Monday to grant a request to appoint a “special master” to review the documents taken from former President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago home in the FBI’s raid last month and determine if they were protected by legal privilege.
The Justice Department (DOJ) had reviewed materials seized in the raid and found some of them might be legally privileged. Trump’s attorneys asked Cannon for a “special master,” or third-party attorney, to review the documents contending it was not certain that the department identified all the possibly privileged documents.
Cannon granted Trump’s request, and also temporarily blocked the DOJ from further review of the seized documents.
“The Court hereby authorizes the appointment of a special master to review the seized property for personal items and documents and potentially privileged material subject to claims of attorney/client and/or executive privilege,” Cannon wrote. “Furthermore, in natural conjunction with that appointment, and consistent with the value and sequence of special master procedures, the Court also temporarily enjoins the Government from reviewing and using the seized materials for investigative purposes pending completion of the special master’s review or further Court order.”
Cannon said the court was “unsure” of the DOJ’s claim that its review team had picked out any potentially privileged materials.
Trump’s legal team had argued that the DOJ was politically motivated and would “leak” documents covered by attorney-client privilege.
“Left unchecked, the DOJ will impugn, leak, and publicize selective aspects of their investigation with no recourse for [Trump] but to somehow trust the self-restraint of currently unchecked investigators,” his attorneys wrote.
However, the DOJ had attempted to block the appointment of a special master, citing national security concerns.
“This Order shall not impede the classification review and/or intelligence assessment” to be performed by the DOJ, Cannon wrote.
Cannon unsealed the most detailed list of property seized in the raid yet on Friday, ABC News reported.
The Department of Justice’s (DOJ) redacted affidavit relating to the raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home was released on Friday. The document shows that the DOJ pointed to a number of classified materials already obtained from Trump’s home as reason for the August search warrant request.
Though much of the affidavit was redacted, unsealed portions of it revealed that the latest search came after the FBI reviewed 15 boxes that Trump turned over to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in January, sparking further concern about other potential documents. Fourteen of these boxes had classification markings,” according to the affidavit.
The 14 boxes contained 184 documents – 25 of the documents had “top secret” markings, 92 were labeled “secret” and 67 had a “confidential” warning, according to the affidavit.
The affidavit also notes that the DOJ requested Trump secure the storage room at Mar-a-Lago, pointing out that the department sent a letter to “FPOTUS COUNSEL 1” on June 8, 2022. This letter “reiterated that the PREMISES are not authorized to store classified information and requested the preservation of the STORAGE ROOM and boxes that had been moved from the White House to the PREMISES.”
“As I previously indicated to you, Mar-a-Lago does not include a secure location authorized for the storage of classified information,” the letter reads, according to the affidavit. “As such, it appears that since the time classified documents [redacted] were removed from the secure facilities at the White House and moved to Mar-a-Lago on or around January 20, 2021, they have not been handled in an appropriate manner or stored in au appropriate location. Accordingly, we ask that the room at Mar-a-Lago where the documents had been stored be secured and that all of the boxes that were moved from the White House to Mar-a-Lago (along with any other items in that room) be preserved in that room in their current condition until farther notice.”
Multiple media organizations, including CNN and The New York Times, pushed for the affidavit – which would shed light on the reasoning behind the unprecedented raid – to be released because of intense public interest and the unparalleled nature of the situation.
Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart – who also signed off on the search warrant used in the FBI’s August 8 raid – ordered the DOJ to submit redactions to the affidavit after formally rejecting the department’s push to keep the document private. Reinhart approved the redactions on Thursday and noted the affidavit would be released by noon on Friday.
In the wake of the FBI’s search, Trump slammed the incident as being politically motivated. He encouraged the “immediate release of documents” relating to the search of his Florida home and, on August 22, filed a lawsuit asking for a “special master” to be appointed to independently oversee the review of various materials that had been taken.
The DOJ on Friday also released a document detailing its proposed redactions to the affidavit and reasons for the redactions – though notably the reasons for keeping portions of the affidavit under wraps were also redacted. In this document, the DOJ noted that the redactions are an effort to protect a “significant number of civilian witnesses.”

The Democrats will prosecute their way to victory.
On Thursday, FBI Director Christopher Wray cut short his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee to fly the FBI’s private jet to his family’s vacation home. At the hearing, Wray had admitted that disciplinary action against FBI personnel involved in Russiagate abuses had been “slowed down” and refused to call Russiagate a “hoax”.
On Monday, President Trump revealed that Mar-a-Lago had been raided by “a large group of FBI agents”. Any warrant for such a raid would have been signed off on by Attorney General Merrick Garland and his associates in the Biden administration which expects to face the former president in the next election. Wray, who quietly listened to complaints about the politicization of the FBI from Senator Grassley and Cruz, among others, would have known what was coming.
The New York Times reported that, “according to two people familiar with the investigation, appeared to be focused on material that Mr. Trump had brought with him to Mar-a-Lago, his private club and residence, after he left the White House.”
Back in May, the paper revealed that a federal grand jury investigation had been convened over boxes of “government documents, mementos, gifts and letters” taken to Mar-a-Lago. There was no federal investigation when the Clintons left the White House with $190,000 worth of “china, flatware, rugs, televisions, sofas and other gifts”. The FBI didn’t come knocking at Chappaqua.
This isn’t about the documents. Just as Russiagate was not about the Russians. It’s not about the 15 boxes of documents, letters and assorted presidential records and gifts that were hurriedly packed up and sent off to Mar-a-Lago, most of which were later returned when the National Archives requested them, this is about the 2024 presidential election.
The assorted Trump investigations were not motivated by concerns about national security, political norms and they’re certainly not driven by sudden worries about mishandling classified documents. And yet the same media which spent years explaining why mishandling classified documents was no big deal when the Clintons did it will explain why it’s a big deal now.
While the FBI handed out immunity agreements to Hillary Clinton staffers who mishandled classified documents and erased their devices, expect any Trump staffers to be hit with the highest possible charges and penalties, and for any information seized from them to be used to develop cases against Trump and other administration figures. That’s what this is really about.
The Mar-a-Lago raid is a more aggressive version of the same Russiagate tactics which were aimed at busting and flipping Trump associates, while gathering any materials that can be spun off into related or entirely unrelated investigations. The FBI raid will not result in charges against Trump, but will probably be used to hit staffers and aides with security violations. This has the dual purpose of keeping them from serving in any future administration and putting them through the wringer, running up massive legal bills and getting them to testify against Trump.
And it’s only happening because the Democrats expect to run against Trump in 2024.
There’s no coincidence that Trump investigations have once again ramped up, after quieting down, as the former president began sending signals that he intends to run again. If Trump had announced that he was formally retiring, there would be no FBI agents at Mar-a-Lago. Instead they would be headed to the homes of any of the potential conservative frontrunners who would suddenly be facing subpoenas, entrapment and wiretapping run out of D.C.
Biden’s abysmal polling makes it impossible for him to win by any means short of this. And the Democrats have no popular candidates waiting in the wings. Anyone else they run, from Kamala to Buttigieg to Bernie to Newsom to Hillary stands no chance of winning over the public.
All that’s left is this.
The Obama administration used the Justice Department to rig the 2016 election. The Biden administration began the same process early on. It has weaponized the DOJ in previously unprecedented ways to shape the voting map, to rally its base and investigate its enemies.
It will get worse as the apparatchiks of a lame duck administration truly get desperate.
As President Trump pointed out, “Hillary Clinton was allowed to delete and acid wash 33,000 E-mail AFTER they were subpoenaed by Congress. Absolutely nothing happened to hold her accountable.”
The FBI handed out immunity agreements to top Hillary aides in exchange for access to their devices and then went on to destroy laptops even though Congress wanted access to them.
Over 2,000 emails on Hillary’s server were found to be classified. 37 pages were deemed top secret. Senator Grassley listed 588 security violations. Hillary’s unconvincing defense of mishandling classified information was that she didn’t know what a “C” stood for.
From the removal of boxes of documents from Vince Foster’s office after his suicide to Bill’s National Security Advisor Sandy Berger stuffing classified documents from the National Archives into his pants and socks, the Clintons have made document theft their specialty.
And it’s all too typical for Trump to be accused of the crimes that the Clintons committed.
But the alleged crimes in a political investigation don’t matter. What does matter is the strong signal from the Biden administration that what the Obama administration did quietly, it will do loudly, aggressively targeting a prospective political opponent with a series of politically motivated investigations using the full force and authority of the Justice Department.
That is a constitutional crisis.
The allegations and investigations will continue to shift as they have since Day 1. Whether it’s the Russians, the Ukrainians, Jan 6, and now classified document handling procedures, and whatever they come up with tomorrow, Biden’s DOJ intends to win by indicting his opponents.
The Democrats have given up winning the 2024 presidential campaign at the polls and intend to win it at the hands of their prosecutors and judges.
Instead of winning over the public, they want to prosecute their way to victory.

You know a nation is in trouble when its security services are raiding the residence of a former president. Doubly so when said nation’s supposedly liberal intelligentsia seem tickled pink about this unprecedented development, without a whiff of concern or scepticism about what the feds are up to. That’s where the United States is at the moment, in the wake of the FBI’s search of former president Donald Trump ’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida on Monday, reportedly over a dispute about missing official documents.
There’s still much we don’t know about this bizarrely explosive dispute between Trump and the National Archives. But what we do know is puzzling, to put it lightly. According to the New York Times, officials had been after Trump for months over official and potentially classified materials he still had in his possession. After archivists retrieved 15 boxes of documents, including some sensitive material, the US Department of Justice was called in. A grand jury was convened. Federal investigators, including counterintelligence officers, were deployed. And, unsatisfied with what had been retrieved, officers then secured a search warrant.
Why this couldn’t have been handled in a somewhat more discrete fashion, without armed agents and everything, is not yet clear. Think back to Hillary Clinton’s notorious email server and you see allegations like this are not unprecedented, but this raid certainly is. Former spooks on liberal cable-news networks have reassured Americans that everything must have been on the up and up, because the raid would have required the sign-off of a judge, FBI head Christopher Wray and attorney general Merrick Garland. ‘They wouldn’t do this unless they had the goods’ is the line being trotted out across corporate media.
To at least half of America, of course, this is about as reassuring as Joe Biden insisting he remembers where he parked the car. As left-wing journalist Matt Taibbi notes, similar reassurances were offered over and over again during the ludicrous Russiagate scandal, to justify official investigations, insane claims and even the surveillance of Trump advisers. In the end, of course, the idea that Trump was Putin’s puppet turned out to be an elite conspiracy theory. Still, the FBI and its newfound liberal cheerleaders are now hoping to rely on a level of blind public trust that no longer exists, if it ever existed at all….
