Authorities Put CCP-Tied Trailer Park Next To Top Secret U.S. Bomber Base On Notice

Missouri is moving to shut down a trailer park business bordering Whiteman Air Force Base after a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation uncovered links between the property and a convicted fraudster with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intelligence ties.

Secretary of State Denny Hoskins announced Thursday the administrative cancellation of Property Solutions 3603 LP, the operator of a Knob Noster Trailer Park that shares a perimeter fence with Whiteman Air Force Base, home to the B-2 stealth bombers. The company is ultimately controlled by a Georgia-based firm owned by a Canadian couple with ties to disgraced Chinese tycoon Miles Guo, who has publicly identified himself as a former CCP intelligence “affiliate,” a November DCNF investigation revealed.

“We applaud Secretary of State Denny Hoskins for taking this strong action to ensure Missouri’s laws are appropriately enforced,” Republican Missouri Rep. Mark Alford told the DCNF. “We have raised the alarm about the potential links between the Chinese nationals who own the Knob Noster Trailer Park next to Whiteman AFB through this shell corporation and the Chinese Communist Party.”

Business records obtained by the DCNF show the property is owned through a web of shell companies controlled by Esther Mei and Cheng Hu. The Canadian couple has connections to the New Federal State of China, an organization associated with Guo. The self-described former CCP-affiliate was convicted in 2024 for orchestrating a fraud scheme exceeding $1 billion and is currently awaiting sentencing.

Mei, Hu and the New Federal State of China did not respond to the DCNF’s requests for comment, while Guo could not be reached.

Hoskins’ office said the cancellation followed a routine compliance review that found the company’s registered agent information was inaccurate and failed to meet statutory requirements. The office formally notified the registered agent in November, but the deficiencies were not corrected within the allotted time frame.

“Failure to respond to notice is a strong indicator that an entity is not operating responsibly or in good faith,” Hoskins’ office told the DCNF.

“When you operate next to Whiteman Air Force Base, good faith and compliance are the bare minimum,” said Hoskins. “Missouri doesn’t make excuses for entities that refuse to meet them.”

Though the secretary of state described the action as routine enforcement of Missouri business law, Hoskins said persistent legal noncompliance is “inherently concerning, particularly when it involves entities operating near secure or sensitive locations, including critical military installations.”

Those concerns were underscored in early January when federal prosecutors announced charges against a Chinese illegal immigrant who allegedly photographed the B-2 aircraft by the base’s perimeter fence.

Worries about Chinese-owned property near sensitive military sites extend beyond Whiteman Air Force Base. Air Force Global Strike Command, based at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana and oversees all U.S. intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear bombers, is flanked by two golf courses owned by a Chinese intelligence official, a January DCNF investigation found.

“Secretary Hoskins deserves the gratitude of all Americans for acting decisively to protect American national security,” Michael Lucci, founder and CEO of State Armor, told the DCNF.  “When Hoskins saw a company presenting a threat to Whiteman Air Force Base, he acted to administratively cancel that company for violating Missouri law.”

Lucci added that other state officers must use their authority to safeguard the homeland from CCP influence.

Missouri previously won a $25 billion lawsuit against the Chinese government for “causing and exacerbating the COVID-19 pandemic” and for hoarding medical equipment during the pandemic.

“Whether it’s ‘show me the filings’ for this limited partnership or ‘show me the money’ for Covid reparations, the Show Me state is showing the CCP that no one is above the law in Missouri,” Jacqueline Deal, a State Armor advisory board member, told the DCNF.

State Armor provided information to the DCNF for use in its investigation.

“This is a great step, but we shouldn’t confuse compliance concerns with national security and counterintelligence issues,” L.J. Eads, a former Air Force intelligence analyst, told the DCNF.

“Florida and New Hampshire are just getting started in their pursuits for statewide counterintelligence units … we should start seeing more of that effort, especially where the states could help defend our military installations and surrounding areas,” Eads said, calling for a national approach to counter CCP operations in the U.S.

Alford said his office will continue pressing federal authorities to closely scrutinize foreign ownership of property near the critical military installation.

STARRS Town Hall: “The Threat of the Red-Green Axis” with speaker John Guandolo

In this powerful and eye-opening STARRS Town Hall, guest speaker John Guandolo (USNA ’89 grad, former Marine officer and FBI Special Agent) outlined his path from FBI counterterrorism work to training government and local entities on the “Red-Green Axis” — the collaboration between Islamist and Marxist movements. These movements have a common enemy: America and the US Constitution.

He talked about how the U.S. is engaged in a non-kinetic war primarily in the information and counterintelligence space. He explained how Islamist and communist networks operate together at the local level across the country and view themselves in late-stage victory.

John discussed how Sharia is the doctrinal basis for jihad and governance in normative Islam, is taught consistently to Muslim youth, and that Western leaders mischaracterize Islam due to influence operations and deceptive language use.

He says U.S. policy fixates on “violent extremism” (a term he argues has no legal meaning) rather than legally defined enemies (e.g., jihadis, communists), which blinds institutions to the true threat and leads to strategic failure.

John said Islamic Sharia-based movements seek to replace the US Constitution, so anyone who swore an oath to the Constitution has a duty to defend it against such efforts–foreign and domestic.

Negotiations 101: The Greenland Edition

President Trump traveled to Davos, Switzerland, this week to lay down the law to the world’s effete elites.

We’re taking Greenland, he thundered, whether you like it or not.

And in a nearly two-hour speech, he explained in great detail why the Greenland icecap is of tremendous strategic importance — not just to the United States, but to NATO writ-large.

For starters, all of Russia’s ICBM launchers border the polar icecap. If trained on Washington, DC, missiles launched from those sites would all cross over Greenland. The same goes for China’s ICBM launchers. This is why the president wants to base his Golden Dome anti-missile system in Greenland.

Clearly, the American taxpayer cannot be expected to make such a huge investment if, at some later date, the Danes or the Greenlanders could kick us out.

There is plenty of precedent for that happening. We lost the world’s largest naval base at Subic Bay in 1992, after the Philippines’ government extorted us for huge increases in lease payments.

In 2003, Turkey refused US requests to use our airbase in Incirlik to support the 40-nation liberation of Iraq. And who knows what type of limits Iran-ally Qatar has been putting on our enormous al-Udeid airbase outside Doha.

Do you think that might be one reason why the president ordered the USS Abraham Lincoln and its carrier strike group to steam from the South China Sea to Bahrain last week?

So the lessons of history are clear: if we are to invest massive resources in overseas military bases, we had better own them. Forever.

And then, of course, there is the immediate threat of Russian warships prowling the polar icecap, and the Chinese taking advantage of the ice melt to reopen the northern passage as a much shorter transit route for bringing oil to China.

After all the huffing and puffing of the Euro-elites, they all finally bowed down to the don.

Trump is the capo di tutti capi. The little French and German sottocapi, and the tiny Danish wannabe neighborhood lieutenants, all lined up and stood at attention.

This was Trump negotiation 101. Come out with demands guaranteed to outrage; then settle for what he wanted initially.

He already announced he wanted Greenland in 2019. And again in January 2025. I wrote about it then. But the Euros just brushed him off. This time, by inflating his demands and threatening force, he got the Euros’ attention. And it worked.

We’ve wanted Greenland for at least 150 years. Remember Seward’s folly? When Secretary of State William H. Seward negotiated the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867, he initially wanted to buy Greenland and Iceland from Denmark as well.

We tried again in 1910, thinking to trade Greenland for Mindanao and Palawan, which Denmark would then trade with Germany for Northern Schleswig.

In April 1941, before the United States entered World War II, we signed an agreement with Denmark that allowed the US Army to begin construction of the massive Bluie West One base where my father was later stationed during the war.

But because that agreement did not transfer sovereignty to the United States, subsequent governments were able to walk it back.

It now appears that the Danes will cede large swathes of virtually uninhabited icecap to us while they continue to transfer vast sums to the 56,000 Greenlanders to maintain their social welfare statelet. I guess that is the price of pride.

On this week’s Prophecy Today Weekend I discuss this as well as our expanding LNG exports to Europe, warning signs from Trump’s new Board of Peace, and the trail of tears of Iranian freedom-lovers, whose loved ones are being hauled from their homes, shot in hospitals, and sold back to their families for burial.

As always, you can listen live at 1 PM on Saturday on 104.9 FM or 550 AM in the Jacksonville, Florida, area, or by using the Jacksonville Way Radio app. Later, you can listen to the podcast here.

Yours in freedom.

Mexico Has More Consulates in U.S. Than Any Foreign County and Are Helping Illegal Mexican Aliens

Mexico has many more Consulates in U.S. than any other foreign country.

There is evidence that personnel in these Consulates are aiding and abetting demonstrators against ICE including providing resources for Mexican illegal aliens such as legal services. Mexico using ‘weaponized immigration’ to undermine US sovereignty, author of new book alleges

Investigative author Peter Schweizer claims Mexico’s government is using consulates, education programs and migrant outreach to exert political influence inside the United States.

Investigative author Peter Schweizer alleges the Mexican government is operating a coordinated influence effort inside the United States, using diplomatic missions, education programs and migrant outreach initiatives in ways he argues go far beyond traditional diplomacy.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Schweizer said his forthcoming book, “The Invisible Coup,” available Tuesday, documents what he describes as “weaponized immigration,” a strategy he claims Mexican officials view as a means to exert political leverage inside the U.S.

“Foreign powers are using migration as a weapon to undermine American sovereignty,” Schweizer said. “Mexico is a clear example of this.”

Schweizer pointed to Mexico’s expansive diplomatic footprint in the United States, noting that the country operates 53 consulates nationwide — far more than most U.S. allies.

“Those consular officials have been tied up in organizing political activity in the United States, which is a clear violation of their diplomatic status,” said Schweizer, investigative journalist and co-founder, alongside former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, of the conservative think tank Government Accountability Institute (GAI).

Schweizer alleged that Mexican consular officials have supported or encouraged anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protests in the U.S., pointing to what he described as instances in which officials praised or took credit for community mobilization following immigration enforcement actions.

Mexican consulates routinely provide legal assistance and outreach to migrant communities after ICE raids, which Mexican officials characterize as consular protection duties, though critics argue the efforts blur the line between assistance and political activism.

Schweizer also cited the role of Mexico’s so-called “migrant legislators” — elected Mexican officials who reside in the United States and represent Mexicans living abroad — as evidence of cross-border political engagement. While those officials do not hold U.S. office, some have participated in advocacy events in the United States, raising questions among critics about the scope of foreign political activity on American soil.

Schweizer further claimed the Mexican government is actively discouraging assimilation among migrants living in the U.S., pointing to government-produced Spanish-language textbooks distributed to American school districts.

The Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Act Authorizes the Sinking of Drug Boats

Even Chuck Schumer voted “Yes” for the Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Act of 1986 authorizing the military to fire on drug smuggling boats. The House approved it 392-16 and Senate approved it 97-2.

The Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Act (MDLEA), implemented in 1986 by the United States, is a piece of legislation combatting the illegal drug trade. The MDLEA establishes that it is illegal for anyone on board a vessel belonging to the United States or within their jurisdiction to deliberately produce or disseminate psychotropic substances. The Act is notable for its extraterritorial jurisdiction and its lack of nexus requirement.

The Act provides that the United States jurisdiction reaches any vessel “registered in a foreign nation where the flag nation has consented or waived objection to the enforcement of the United States law by the United States.”[1] In recent years the MDLEA has been met with controversy as it permits the military the authority to reach and imprison drug traffickers or stop them by any means who are operating over international waters and foreign citizens who are not located on board the watercraft but operating overseas or as a conspirator.

Does Antifa offer the perfect cover for Jihad?

If we pay attention, we see that Antifa has adopted the ways of the Islamic jihadist, resorting to intimidation tactics and violence.

Within the ocean of rising humanity composed of some 1.5 billion Muslims, each believer—a drop—through a combination of choice and forces beyond his control, ends up in one of its many waves. It is the jihadist wave that is highly attractive to the deeply indoctrinated and poorly-adjusted in dealing rationally and independently with life. And it is the violent verses of Islam that concern American law enforcement.

While American people go about their daily business, Muslims and Muslim organizations across the United States are busy and work “stealthily” to change and alter America from within in what is called “Soft Jihad,” or “Cultural Jihad where the sword of jihad is not advisable, where Muslims are not powerful enough to unsheath their sword.

They have been active in several ways. The number of non-Muslims who are converting to Islam is rapidly growing. In the U.S., the majority of converts are African-American but there have also been significant numbers of others who convert as well, many of them well-educated. Muslims in non-Muslim lands proselytize relentlessly and convert others, while any Muslim who leaves Islam is considered an apostate and automatically condemned to death.

America has been going through a process called subversion. Regrettably, not many Americans have the slightest clue that this takes place daily here at home. Muslims have become calculatingly meek and mild in their demeanor. They have learned how the American system works. For now, they are not openly resorting to violent jihad although we know Islam cannot be separated from its most powerful tool, Jihad. Without Jihad, Islam would go through a slow death. Jihad is perpetual in Islam. They both need each other for their survival.

Here is the disturbing question: What if this violent domestic group, known as Antifa, offers perfect cover for jihad and secretly works with the Islamic organizations as an arm of violent jihad?

According to Diana West, “here is more on Antifa/jihad connections from Edward Klein’s book, All Out War: The Plot to Destroy Trump. Note that in Portland, they were chanting, “Allah-u Akbar, smash these Nazi scums.”

President Trump, in the wake of the recent violent rioting, involving Antifa, the militant wing of the Democrat Party, suggested designating this group asa domestic terrorist.

Gary LaFree shed more light on this group in an op-ed: Is Antifa a Terrorist Group?

On numerous occasions, Antifa has openly threatened to massacre American patriots and even President Trump. This group is one of Obama’s legacies, created to inflict more pain on the American people. “Eight years of Obama’s leadership have left America demonstrably weaker and more divided. Rather than the promised “healing”—racial and other—the Obama era frayed the ties that bind us.”

Katie Pavlich also agrees with the President. She said: Antifa Should Be Designated a ‘Domestic Terrorist Organization.”

There are antifascists, and then there is Antifa. In any case, we have had a few years to objectively evaluate their modus operandi. How they work and operate. They were mostly reactionary, not proactive. But that could change as the group grows. Antifa despises America, our flag, and what it stands for. They appear out of nowhere at any peaceful conservative gathering and disrupt it.

If we closely pay attention, we realize that Antifa has adopted the ways of the Islamic jihadist and resorts to intimidation tactics and violence. They call anyone and everyone a Nazi.

“For as long as there have been fascists, there has been debate over the way to respond to them.” In his new book, Antifa, historian and organizer Mark Bray traces various leftist anti-fascist movements from the 1930s in Europe to the “Antifa” movements we see on the streets today. The history of anti-fascism, it seems, is stuck on repeat, with the same arguments over free speech and uncompromising resistance cropping up repeatedly.”

According to the Washington Examiner“while we’re not investigating Antifa as Antifa – that’s an ideology, and we don’t investigate ideologies – we are investigating several what we would call anarchist-extremist investigations where we have properly predicated subjects of people who are motivated to commit violent criminal activity on kind of an Antifa ideology.”

President Obama allowed Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter to run wild during his reign. Obama even rewarded riot-inciters, and those who support killing police were hosting them at Obama’s White House. Instead of protecting citizens and their property, some politicians even admit pro-rioting policies openly, as when then-Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake (D), at the time a DNC executive, acknowledged in 2015 that authorities “gave those who wished to destroy space to do that.

In short, Antifa appears to be just as violent as the jihadists, as we see in the USA riots, and might offer the perfect cover for jihad.

The Iranian Regime Is ‘Afraid of Its Own People, Afraid of Losing Power, and Afraid of Trump’

There aren’t many pictures slipping through the iron fist of Iran, but there are enough. What the world has seen in the ashen streets and smoldering buildings tells the story of unhinged terror and revenge. An emotional image of dozens of shoes, thrown haphazardly against a wall, feels like the last witness to whatever horrors happened there. “At the Holocaust Museum in Washington, there is a room filled with shoes,” Arash Sigarchi posts emotionally. “Now look.” This is all that remains of so many unarmed Iranians, he laments, “whose only demand was freedom.”

While videos continue to trickle out of the carnage after days of protests and state-sponsored violence, no one is quite sure how bloody the uprising has actually been. After the regime froze the country’s internet, the death toll is said to be anywhere from 4,400 to quadruple that — leaving behind cities that look like charred previews of the apocalypse. Survivors paint a grisly picture of men and women burned alive or corralled into rings of fire and gunned down by the ayatollah’s men.

The massacres have triggered a wave of international urgency, as leaders of the U.N. Human Rights Council race to host an emergency session on Friday. President Donald Trump, for his part, has held off on a direct strike after extracting at least a temporary agreement from Iran not to murder more innocent people or carry out more mass executions. Even so, Trump did tease the idea of replacing Ayatollah Khamenei on Saturday, describing him as “a sick man who should run his country properly and stop killing people.” It’s time, he told Politico, “to look for new leadership in Iran.”

General Abolfazl Shekarchi, one of the nation’s spokesmen, countered with a warning of his own: “… [I]f any hand of aggression is extended toward our leader, we not only cut that hand, but also we will set fire to their world.”

As the standoff continues, the White House isn’t sitting idly by. Shipping trackers confirmed that the USS Abraham Lincoln, an aircraft carrier, is now headed to the Middle East, joined by a handful of guided missile destroyers. As the Associated Press points out, the region has been “without an aircraft carrier group or an amphibious ready group, likely complicating any discussion of a military operation targeting Iran given Gulf Arab states’ broad opposition to such an attack.”

Gregg Roman, executive director of the Middle East Forum, agreed that this is all part of the pressure Trump is building on the regime. “I think you have to have at least two aircraft carriers in the region. You have to have at least 10 to 12 destroyers which help Israel and U.S. allies and U.S. bases in the region with an anti-missile defense shield like we had back in June. I think you need to have special operators who are on the ground, ready to extricate any American pilots that may be shot down. And frankly,” he added on Monday’s “Washington Watch,” “this is not being done without risk to the United States. … But President Trump is trying to create a situation in which the U.S. has maximum advantage. And if the Ayatollah continues with his repression of the Iranian people, and there is not a pathway to his removal from power, whether by hook or by crook, then we’ll see action over the skies of Iran, assisting the Iranian people…”

That doesn’t necessarily mean war is imminent, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) reiterated to the BBC in the U.K. on Monday. “I don’t think we’re anywhere close to that, or any necessity of that,” he stressed. “We do want to encourage the flourishing of freedom, and I think this is a very welcome development. I think freedom-loving people around the world recognize that, and they’re applauding it and praying for the Iranians that they can continue this.”

That said, he continued, “the indiscriminate killing of innocent citizens and protesters is detestable” and “must be stopped.”

In a brief glimmer of hope for the Iranian people, who’ve been cut off from the world and hunted by their leaders, hackers managed to get by the regime’s blackout, interrupting the feed with footage “supporting the country’s exiled crown prince and calling on security forces to not ‘point your weapons at the people. Join the nation for the freedom of Iran,” the broadcast urged.

Mike Waltz, Trump’s ambassador to the U.N. and former member of the Army Special Forces, sat down with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins to express his disgust with the Iranian violence. “With the brutality that the regime has meted out on its own people, massive arrests by the U.N.’s own figure, up to 18,000 [have been] killed. Other international figures have it anywhere from 12,000 to 20,000 [casualties]. Regardless,” he emphasized, “this has been a massacre. The regime has used military-grade weapons and mowed down its own people. In addition to that, we’re seeing tens of thousands of arrests. It appears the executions that were imminent have stayed for a bit. And I think that’s in direct response to the regime being afraid of the potential actions President Trump could take. But we’re watching closely, and it is wholly unacceptable,” he argued. “And I made that point to the United Nations Security Council [and] called them out for their silence over the prior week…”

The other silence, a deafening one, Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) underscored, is from the American Left. “All the people who are marching in the streets condemning the United States and condemning Israel are curiously silent now, when the Ayatollahs are massacring their own people,” he said. “On college campuses, where you had students living in tents, protesting their own country, protesting Israel, there are no encampments now,” Cotton said. “Nobody has seized campus buildings.” He shook his head at the hypocrisy. “It makes you think they weren’t focused on innocent lives, they were focused on attacking Israel and attacking the United States.”

Fortunately for Israel and Iran, America isn’t operating under Joe Biden’s strategy of weakness and avoidance. On the contrary, Waltz said, everything’s changed. “We remember an uprising under the Obama administration, the Green Movement, where, frankly, the administration and President Obama did next to nothing in response.” But President Trump, he was quick to point out, “is not a man of talk. He’s a man of action, number one. Number two, the second executive order he put in place was to reinstitute his maximum pressure campaign that had been lifted under the Biden administration.”

What does that mean? Well, Waltz explained, “the Iranian economy is not going to improve anytime soon. Their currency is tanking. They’re able to export less and less of their illegal oil. President Trump put the buyers of that oil and anything else coming from Iran on notice with another promise of additional tariffs. And we took out, at least for the foreseeable future, the Iranian nuclear threat,” he reminded people. “So, the regime is ultimately afraid. It’s afraid of its own people. It’s afraid of losing power. And it certainly is afraid of the potential action from President Trump.”

Another metric the ambassador is watching closely is Iran’s terror proxies, who Waltz suggests are the proof that what Trump is doing is working. The Houthis, Hezbollah, their militias in Iraq, and others “are complaining,” he noted. “[They] aren’t getting the plane loads of cash. And now Venezuela, as well, [isn’t] getting the plane loads of cash that they used to. And that means that the ‘terrorist trust fund’ that sits in Tehran is drying up,” he warned.

And for everybody out there saying, “Why do we care?” Waltz was quick to explain. “Look, the root of all evil comes out of this Iranian regime across the Middle East that has caused conflict after conflict. President Trump is focused on fundamental change. And first and foremost, it’s drying up the regime’s money that it’s used to fuel these wars all over the Middle East and the world.”

In the meantime, it’s clear what the Iranian people want and are willing to die for: freedom. “They continue to march. They continue to protest. They continue to turn out to fight against the regime,” Roman said with amazement. The entire nation is at a tipping point. And if the ayatollah doesn’t go, he warned, our president “will help push him along.”

Trump, Greenland, and American World Order

As the second Trump administration reaches its one-year anniversary, no one can deny that President Donald Trump has reshaped not only American politics but the entire world. But Trump is no longer satisfied with tariffs and peace talks; he has set his eyes on a grander prize, an object America has rarely sought since the days of President Theodore Roosevelt: territorial acquisition. The territory in Trump’s crosshairs is the world’s largest island, a mostly glacier-covered wilderness deceptively called “Greenland.”

Despite widespread opposition, President Trump manages to mention his desire to own Greenland nearly every day. “I had a very good telephone call with Mark Rutte, the Secretary General of NATO, concerning Greenland,” Trump posted to Truth Social shortly after midnight on Tuesday. “As I expressed to everyone, very plainly, Greenland is imperative for National and World Security. There can be no going back — On that, everyone agrees! The United States of America is the most powerful Country anywhere on the Globe, by far.”

This past weekend, Trump escalated the Greenland question into an international incident when he threatened on Saturday to levy punitive tariffs against eight European nations opposed to his plan to annex Greenland. Last Wednesday, seven nations in western and northern Europe deployed token forces (for a combined total of slightly more than 30) to Greenland for Arctic military drills, signaling their continued support for Danish sovereignty over the island. Denmark boosted its military footprint in Greenland by just over 100 soldiers.

In a Saturday Truth Social post, Trump interpreted these small deployments in a nefarious light. “Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland have journeyed to Greenland, for purposes unknown,” the president wrote. “These Countries, who are playing this very dangerous game, have put a level of risk in play that is not tenable or sustainable.”

As a result, Trump said he would impose a 10% tariff on these seven countries for “any and all goods sent to the United States of America … until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.” The tariff would take effect on February 1 and increased to 25% on June 1.

The European response to this announcement was apoplectic. The European Union’s 27 member states convened an emergency meeting in Cyprus on Sunday to discuss their response, with leaders floating ideas ranging from reciprocal tariffs to boycotting the World Cup.

The leader of the European People’s Party (EPP), the largest bloc in the European Parliament, responded that Trump’s tariff threat compromises the passage of the EU-U.S. trade deal. “The EPP is in favour of the EU-U.S. trade deal, but given Donald Trump’s threats regarding Greenland, approval is not possible at this stage,” he wrote. “The 0% tariffs on U.S. products must be put on hold.”

Europe’s pique points to the greatest risk in Trump’s gamble for Greenland. As Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen put it, any American invasion of Greenland would spell “the end of NATO,” as one member would be invading the territory of another. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization, whose member nations cover most of North America and Europe, is the world’s largest military alliance and an important part of America’s globally dominant position since World War II.

As readers may find it strange that President Trump would bet America’s largest military alliance for the territory of Greenland, an explanation of his reasoning is in order.

Both the president and his top officials have repeatedly cited America’s national security as the top reason for annexing Greenland. In his Truth Social post on tariffs, Trump declared that “the National Security of the United States, and the World at large, is at stake” in the Greenland question. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent argued in a recent interview, “For over a century, American presidents have wanted to acquire Greenland, and what we can see is that Greenland is essential to the U.S. national security.”

Why does Greenland factor into American security considerations? Trump explained, “China and Russia want Greenland, and there is not a thing that Denmark can do about it.” Bessent explained that Trump is thinking ahead to an inevitable competition with America’s geopolitical rivals over Arctic resources. “It might not be next year, might not be in five years, but down the road, this fight for the Arctic is real,” he insisted. “President Trump strongly believes that we cannot outsource our security.”

But how does possession of Greenland actually bolster U.S. national security? Two considerations come into play. First, Greenland holds vast, undeveloped mineral reserves, including rare earth elements, uranium, copper, graphite, gallium, tungsten, zinc, gold, silver, and iron ore. Controlling these resources would ensure America’s future access to critical military equipment and technology.

Second, Greenland plays a key role in Trump’s scheme for a “Golden Dome,” a continent-wide missile system that would make the U.S. nearly impervious to an intercontinental missile strike. With Alaska and the continental U.S., Greenland would form the third point in a vast triangle of geopolitical security. “Hundreds of Billions of Dollars are currently being spent on Security Programs having to do with ‘The Dome,’” wrote Trump, but “this very brilliant, but highly complex system can only work at its maximum potential and efficiency, because of angles, metes, and bounds, if this Land [Greenland] is included in it.”

Ironically, Trump’s concern for Greenland was heightened by the shift Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has made to align his nation with China, not the United States. In his Tuesday comments at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Carney declared that the “old … rules-based international order” was dead, leading Canada to “fundamentally shift our strategic posture.” On Friday, Carney announced a preliminary trade deal with China during a visit to Beijing, which his office described as “the foundation for a new strategic partnership.”

The “rules-based international order” Carney rejected is one built by the U.S. and like-minded allies after World War II. Principles such as territorial integrity were enshrined in the NATO treaty and other documents of the era. Territorial integrity is a corollary of national sovereignty and is ultimately rooted in Just War Theory. The aim was to forestall future wars by ruling out the ambition for territorial conquest, which characterized Nazi Germany, fascist Italy, imperial Japan, and the communist USSR.

Defending the principle of territorial integrity — which had the added bonus of constraining America’s communist rivals — led America into the Korean War (to defend South Korea) and the first Gulf War (to defend Kuwait). But these actions showed that America was willing to enforce this principle, thus deterring an unknown number of other aggressor nations over at least half a century, contributing to an environment of global peace that benefited America’s status as a worldwide merchant.

In other words, the international order which Canada has now rejected is one created by America for America’s benefit. A major reason why Canada rejected this order is because the government has increasingly lost faith in the will of the U.S. — particularly the Trump administration — to uphold it. This lack of faith is largely due to Trump’s own actions, which have called the principle of territorial integrity into question.

Even in an era defined by conflict with non-state terrorists, who do not hold territory, the principle of territorial integrity remains relevant. For instance, it provides a basis for condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It also provides a basis for deterring conflicts that have been threatened but not yet begun, such as communist China’s planned annexation of Taiwan.

The principle of territorial integrity even restrains ambitious leaders from acting on their ambitions, such as Turkish President Recep Erdogan’s ambition to reforge the Ottoman Empire. One ranking places Turkey’s military as the 9th most powerful in the world, the strongest state between India and France. If Erdogan did embark on a campaign to recapture lost Ottoman lands, he could easily gobble up prostrate Syria, divided Lebanon, fledgling Iraq, and non-entity Libya, enabling him to train considerable firepower against Israel from east, north, and west. But Erdogan is not able to conquer these struggling states because of the influence (and presence) of powerful Western nations, who insist that strong states are not allowed to steal territory from weaker ones.

If the U.S. wrestles Greenland away from our own NATO ally Denmark, then this U.S.-built international order loses all credibility.

America’s international order does provide a way for national borders to change: the people of that country can vote for a change (usually independence, not reunification). In January 2025 (the most recent poll available), 85% of Greenlanders opposed joining the U.S., while only 6% favored the change.

There is one other factor that may have influenced Trump’s thinking on Greenland, one which is more personal than U.S. national security. Trump himself revealed this motive in a text exchange with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

“Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America,” Trump wrote, according to wording first published by The Independent, a British paper. “I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland,” Trump concluded.

Trump has made no secret about his desire to win the distinguished Nobel Peace Prize. But, last year, the Nobel Committee awarded the prize to Venezuelan opposition leader in exile Maria Corina Machado — a worthy candidate, but not Trump. Last week, Machado presented her Nobel Prize as a gift to Trump during her first visit to the White House. However, Trump doubtless remains hungry to win the prize in his own right.

The deadline for Nobel nominations is January 31 of every year, less than two weeks away. Trump may have ramped up his Greenland rhetoric and explicitly connected it to his Nobel snub as a way to pressure the committee into giving his nomination a harder look. If so, then it’s more than ironic that Trump is hoping to win a peace prize by threatening to take territory from an ally.

EXCLUSIVE: US General Plotted With CCP-Tied Mogul To Seize Strategic Islands For China, Tell-All Claims

A Chinese intelligence official’s autobiography details decades of efforts to cultivate ties with American officials, culminating in an alleged plot with a three-star U.S. general to annex strategic territory for Beijing, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation discovered.

Chinese-American businessman Eugene Ji, who owns two golf courses flanking Louisiana’s Barksdale Air Force Base, developed a years-long professional and personal relationship with retired Army Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré, which allegedly  included expensive gifts and meetings with high-ranking Chinese government officials, according to DCNF translations of Chinese government announcements and Ji’s 2014 Chinese language autobiography “New Circle.” Among other concerning episodes, the autobiography claims the pair organized an event to bring Chinese military officers to a U.S. nuclear base and also repeatedly propositioned Chinese political insiders with a half a billion dollar plan to seize Japan’s Senkaku Islands for China through weaponized migration, which the general denies.

“When I asked his opinion on the matter of the [Senkaku Islands], the general said those few small islands are of course Chinese territory — why keep talking without acting? No need to consult Japan. If pigs can be raised on the islands, set up a pig farm. If tourism is possible, build dozens of houses. Sovereignty is China’s. Welcome tourists from around the world. Japanese can go too, just get a visa at the Chinese embassy in Japan, so what’s the hang-up?” Ji wrote, according to a DCNF translation of the autobiography. “Do your friends think the price is too high?”

Honoré, who retired in 2008, allegedly served as the “U.S. affairs advisor” for an organization founded by Ji called the G2 Club, which has offices in the U.S. and China, and is comprised of business leaders and government officials from both nations, according to DCNF translations of “New Circle.”

[Image created by DCNF with “New Circle” and Jinan ACFIC arm photos]

Honoré, who coordinated military relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina and later led then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s security review task force following the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot, denied involvement in the Senkaku scheme and told the DCNF that Ji is “full of shit.” However, he did not deny being pictured with the businessman in multiple photos featured in “New Circle” and in Chinese government announcements unearthed by the DCNF.

“I did meet with them, but I had no agreement with them, and was no kind of official advisor,” Honoré said. “I’ve never gotten anything out of it, never been paid anything, and it’s mostly cost me time as a courtesy to Eugene, because he’s a serial entrepreneur and I do consulting work.”

Honore’s more than decade-long relationship with Ji — who has held multiple Chinese government positions, including serving as an official for an arm of a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) influence and intelligence agency called the United Front Work Department (UFWD) — raises red flags about how China targets influential Americans.

“What makes this especially concerning is that a documented United Front–affiliated actor openly describes influencing senior U.S. military officers and elected officials, getting meetings arranged, access granted, projects discussed, and relationships leveraged,” L.J. Eads, a former Air Force intelligence analyst, told the DCNF after reviewing select chapters of Ji’s autobiography. “When a foreign political influence system is able to shape behavior, decisions, or access among generals and politicians through informal business and social channels, that crosses from engagement into a national security vulnerability.”

Ji did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

‘Oblivious’

The scheme to seize the Senkaku Islands for China involved using Chinese prefabricated dwellings to build a resort on the islands, which would be staffed by “100 black people” from an unspecified U.S. civil rights organization explicitly in order to deter the Obama administration from intervening, according to a DCNF translation of “New Circle.”

The Senkaku Islands are a small chain in the East China Sea administered by Japan and claimed by China, which contribute to ensuring “U.S. strategic, political, and economic interests in the Indo-Pacific region and elsewhere,” according to the Congressional Research Service.

Ji wrote that he and Honoré repeatedly pitched the $500 million project to Chinese counterparts as a pretense to assert Beijing’s sovereignty over the uninhabited isles, according to DCNF translations of the third-to-last and final chapter of “New Circle.”

Ji’s Chinese business contacts would first secure state–backed loans to manufacture prefabricated dwellings in China, which the government would then escort to the Japanese islands, after which China’s flag would be raised and access controlled by its visa authority, according to the plan.

“[W]e would also hire the American black civil rights Martin Luther King organization to organize 100 black people to provide security and hotel services for Chinese tourists,” Ji wrote, according to a DCNF translation of the autobiography. “The U.S. government wouldn’t dare interfere — this is private commercial cooperation. Black civil rights organizations helped Obama get into the White House.”

“What the government can’t do, we the people will handle,” Ji continued, according to a DCNF translation of “New Circle.”

However, it’s unclear if the scheme ever advanced beyond attempts to recruit Chinese business partners.

“All that’s lies,” Honoré told the DCNF.

Ji and Honoré allegedly had at least one discussion concerning the progress of the scheme after playing golf at one of the businessman’s courses, according to “New Circle.”

After golfing on or around the same day, the pair also allegedly discussed organizing a “Sino-U.S. Generals’ Friendly Golf Tournament” that was later held, according to the autobiography.

“Every year, the club invites 50 Chinese military personnel to visit the U.S., make friends with U.S. military personnel, play golf and increase mutual understanding,” Ji wrote, according to a DCNF translation of the autobiography. “The G2 Club specially invited three-star First Army General Russel Honoré and other senior U.S. military officers to participate in the club’s golf-themed annual meeting, tour a U.S. B-52 bomber training base, visit General Chennault’s military museum, and revisit the history of the Flying Tigers’ assistance to China during World War II to promote friendly exchanges between the two militaries.”

“It’s all fabricated shit,” Honoré told the DCNF when asked about the alleged tournament.

“I hate fucking golf,” Honoré said. “I live on a golf course. I’ve been on it one fucking time since 2010.”

A spokesperson for Barksdale AFB, which is the only Louisiana base hosting B-52s, neither confirmed nor denied Ji’s claims.

“[W]e do not discuss specific intelligence, investigative matters, or alleged interactions involving individual personnel,” the spokesperson said.

The U.S. military is not doing enough to protect its bases and personnel from Chinese influence operations, author and China expert Gordon Chang told the DCNF.

“The Air Force in particular and the Pentagon in general need to stop being oblivious,” Chang said. “We’ve known about China’s infiltration of areas around military bases and done little or nothing about it. What is wrong with us?”

“The Department of War should take its name seriously. China thinks it is at war with us, so, yes, we’re at war,” said Chang.

[Image created by DCNF with New Circle photos]

‘Made In China’

Ji also allegedly gave Honoré a number of gifts, including expensive liquor and LED lights for his home, according to DCNF translations of the autobiography.

“New Circle” claims that after playing golf Ji and Honoré frequently drank Moutai liquor together, which is made from sorghum and is China’s “most-prized liquor,” according to Chinese state-run media.

During one G2 Club dinner in New Orleans with visiting Chinese state-owned enterprise executives, Ji allegedly gifted Honoré a bottle of Moutai costing more than $400, according to a DCNF translation of “New Circle.”

On another occasion, Ji allegedly procured an entire case of Moutai for Honoré from the distillery in China.

“Whenever I return to China, if I have the time, I make a special trip to Guizhou. My alumnus Hu Pinglin will give me a few bottles to take back. Since there is counterfeit liquor on the market, I’m afraid something could go wrong if the general drank fake alcohol, so I only buy it through friends directly from the distillery,” Ji wrote, according to a DCNF translation. “Last time, Mr. Hu managed to obtain an entire case directly from the Moutai distillery. The general took it back to Washington D.C., where more than 10 generals finished it all in one sitting.”

Hu has held numerous high-level Chinese government positions, including serving as the Communist Youth League secretary of an unspecified Chinese defense enterprise, and the deputy chairman of a branch of the Chinese Culture Promotion Society (CCPS), which is an arm of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, according to DCNF translations of “New Circle” and CCPS announcements.

Honoré told the DCNF he did not recall receiving Moutai from Ji, and could not account for a “New Circle” photo showing him holding a bottle of the Chinese liquor.

“I got LED lights and a globe from him, never any boxes of expensive liquor,” Honoré said. “He gave me a globe, I’ve got the globe in my office, it’s one you can buy out of any Amazon shop.”

While Ji did not mention gifting Honoré a globe in “New Circle,” the autobiography claims he outfitted the general’s entire home with Chinese LED lights.

“Shenzhen Punai Optoelectronics sent over some energy-saving LED lights that could be installed in shipping containers. I had a friend deliver three boxes and replace all the lighting in the general’s villa with ‘Made in China’ products that had American UL certification,” Ji wrote, according to a DCNF translation. “Later, the general even asked me to introduce Shenzhen Punai’s products to 25 U.S. military bases.”

Although the autobiography presents the LED company as an unrelated third party, business filings reveal it shares its phone number with a similarly-named Chinese LED manufacturer called Shenzhen Punai Energy Saving Lighting Co. Ltd., which Ji owns. Furthermore, both of Shenzhen Punai Optoelectronics’ board members also sit on the board of Ji’s LED company, one of whom likewise serves as the G2 Club’s secretary general, according to a DCNF translation of a Guizhou University announcement.

“He had them at his office, and he said ‘you want some LED lights for your house,’ and I said, ‘okay, I’ll take some,’” Honoré told the DCNF, while denying he asked Ji to introduce the lights to 25 U.S. military bases.

Ji’s activities go beyond “normal civic behavior,” Eads told the DCNF.

“When a foreign political intermediary supplies luxury goods and installs electronic systems inside the home of a senior U.S. military official without clear disclosure or vetting, that is not just a social courtesy,” Eads said. “It is a counterintelligence concern.”

The Shock Waves From Trump’s Actions on Iran Could Be Felt Right Here at Home

As of Saturday, it has been two weeks and a day since President Donald Trump wrote: “If Iran shots and violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J.TRUMP.”

It has been four days since he wrote: “Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING – TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price. I have cancelled all meetings with Iranian Officials until the senseless killing of protesters STOPS. HELP IS ON ITS WAY. MIGA!!! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.”

There has been and continues to be a great deal of speculation as to what has happened to prevent the president from sending the promised help and coming to the rescue of the Iranian protesters. One report stated Trump called off an attack at the last minute at the behest of Turkey, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Trump himself, however, has denied that, saying on Friday: “Nobody convinced me. I convinced myself. You had yesterday scheduled over 800 hangings. They didn’t hang anyone. They canceled the hangings. That had a big impact.”

Tehran prosecutor Ali Salehi, however, was contemptuous of the claim that the executions had been definitively canceled: “Trump always talks nonsense and without any reason, and he’s out of line. Our response is firm, deterrent and swift. A large number of cases have now led to indictments and have been sent to court.”

Iran’s supreme leader is taking Trump’s inaction as a sign of weakness, and is clearly emboldened. After a series of statements on Saturday morning blaming the U.S. for the unrest in Iran, the Ayatollah Khamenei claimed victory and vowed retribution: “Yes, we extinguished the fire of the sedition, but that isn’t enough. The US must be held accountable.” Perceiving Trump as spineless, Khamenei will likely step up his attacks on U.S. interests, and those of America’s allies.

Such a course of action, however, carries considerable risk. There remains the possibility that Trump’s professed credulity regarding Iran stopping executions is just a feint, and that an attack is still coming. Every day that nothing happens, however, reinforces the contention that he was simply issuing empty threats, and cannot be trusted.

If Trump’s apparent decision not to strike the Islamic Republic remains unchanged, and if the Islamic Republic weathers this storm and continues on its bloodthirsty and repressive way, there could be serious consequences not only for American interests in the Middle East, but for domestic politics as well. If Trump does not act against the Islamic Republic after promising so robustly to do so, this is very likely to become a Democrat campaign talking point in both 2026 and 2028.

Trump’s foes will accuse him of conducting a foreign policy whose principal characteristics were naivete and empty bluster, leading to a credulous trust not only of the pro-Hamas Muslim Brotherhood sponsor Qatar, but of the Islamic Republic of Iran as well, even in the hour of the deepest need of those whom Trump addressed as “Iranian patriots.” After the Trump administration has accomplished so very much to unravel the extremely intricate and tangled web of corruption that socialist internationalist authoritarians have woven in order to enrich themselves and keep themselves in power, if he doesn’t end up acting against the Islamic Republic, those same socialist internationalists will exploit that inaction with everything they’ve got.

Just a few years ago, it looked as if the left’s victory in America was assured and very nearly complete. Those who refused to play along with the left’s emperor-new-clothes games were duly deplatformed and silenced. The Biden regime pressured the social media giants to engage in this censorship, and they complied with alacrity. Donald Trump was a “convicted felon” and patriots were “insurrectionists.” The border was a line on a piece of paper, and you were a racist and a bigot if you thought it should be protected.

Trump has made heroic and extraordinary efforts to roll all of that back and make America once again a nation of laws, borders, and national integrity. But the situation now with the Islamic Republic of Iran is extremely delicate, and has made him, in the eyes of all too many, look weak and cowardly. If he doesn’t do something to dispel that impression, and do it soon, all of his good work could come to naught, and the socialist authoritarians will resume on Jan. 20, 2029 the work they did to destroy America between 2021 and 2025.

Lawmakers Tell Trump to Keep Pressuring Iran

A group of bipartisan legislators are expressing their support for aggressive action against Iran as President Donald Trump and his administration consider military action.

The group of nearly 60 lawmakers, led by Rep. Randy Weber, R-Texas, sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio this week, to “express our deep concern regarding the Iranian regime’s ongoing violent suppression of protests across Iran” and “urge the Department of State to continue publicly condemning the Iranian regime’s violent repression of protesters.”

“While we don’t know every step of the plan, we know the man leading it. President Trump’s long laundry list of wins shows he knows what he’s doing, and right now he is putting pressure on the regime, Weber told The Daily Signal. “That is peace through strength, and that pressure cannot waver.”

The lawmakers claim that the protests scattered across Iran make “clear their demand for a secular, democratic, non-nuclear republic grounded in political pluralism and respect for human dignity.”

“Protesters have also explicitly rejected all forms of authoritarian rule, whether Iran’s former monarchy dictatorship its current theocratic system, and seek the right to determine their own future,” the group added.

“At this critical juncture, whole-of-government support is essential to reaffirm the United States’ commitment to universal human rights and solidarity with the Iranian people,” the letter concluded.

“Taking out the Ayatollahs Supreme Leader would be a major blow to Muslim terrorists trying to destroy the West,” said Rep. Randy Fine, R-Fla., of Iran’s Islamic regime in a statement shared with The Daily Signal. “I just signed onto this letter to show support for what President Trump and Secretary Rubio are doing to support the Iranian people as they fight for freedom. We must put an END to the Muslim terror regime in Iran.”

In 2026, human rights organizations like the Human Rights Activist News Agency, claim the regime has killed 2,500 protesters thus far.

The letter was sent as Trump considers wheter or not military action is taken against Iran.

Trump has expressed his support for the Iranian protesters, telling the demonstrators to “keep protesting.”

“KEEP PROTESTING – TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price. I have cancelled all meetings with Iranian officials until the senseless killing of protesters STOPS. HELP IS ON IT’S WAY,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president has also imposed a 25% tariff on any country who conducts business with the Iranian regime, ratcheted up sanctions, and cancelled all meetings between U.S. officials and the Iranian regime.

Nevertheless, the president has also seemed to dial back the rhetoric surrounding a potential strike.

On Thursday, Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that the U.S. had it “on good authority” that “the killing in Iran is stopping, and there’s no plan for executions.” The president took the news positively but did not rule out the possibility of a strike.

This week’s letter comes as Congress is increasingly questioning Trump’s foreign policy with respect to Greenland and Venezuela.

Thousands of Somalis Face Deportation After Trump Administration Removes Protections

The Trump administration is ending the temporary protected status designation for Somalia, a move that will affect several thousand Somalis currently living in the U.S.

“Temporary means temporary,” Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.

“Country conditions in Somalia have improved to the point that it no longer meets the law’s requirement for Temporary Protected Status,” the secretary continued. “Further, allowing Somali nationals to remain temporarily in the United States is contrary to our national interests. We are putting Americans first.”

There are 2,471 Somali nationals living in the U.S. under temporary protected status and another 1,383 have pending applications, according to Fox News, which first reported the news Tuesday morning.

With the removal of the protections on Tuesday, Somalis living in the U.S. under the designation have until March 17 to leave the country.

Somalis were first granted the status in the U.S. in 1991 amid ongoing civil war in Somalia. The Biden administration renewed and extended the designation for 18 months in 2024.

The Trump administration’s decision to end the designation for Somalia follows reports of mass fraud schemes involving Somalis in the U.S., particularly in Minnesota.

A federal investigation in recent years uncovered a multimillion-dollar fraud operation involving the Minneapolis nonprofit Feeding Our Future. Officials have also found fraud in recent years in a Minnesota housing program and a program claiming to provide services to children with Autism.

A federal prosecutor recently estimated that Medicaid fraud in the state has topped $9 billion.

Of the 98 people that have been charged in Minnesota fraud cases, 85 are of Somali descent, according to the House Oversight Committee.

About 600 Somali nationals live in Minnesota under temporary protected status, Fox News Digital reports.

Most recently, online content creator Nick Shirley released a 42-minute video appearing to show daycares in Minnesota that had no children but had received millions of dollars in government funding.

“We uncovered over $110,000,000 in one day,” Shirley claimed.

The message to Somalians living in the U.S. under TPS is “clear,” according to DHS. “Go back to your own country, or we’ll send you back ourselves.”

TRUMP TO IRANIANS: “Help is On The Way, Keep Protesting — Take Over Your Institutions!”

President Donald Trump issued his most explicit call yet for regime change in Iran, urging protesters to seize government buildings and take control of state institutions as unrest intensifies and thousands are feared dead.

In a Truth Social post, Trump told “Iranian Patriots” to “KEEP PROTESTING – TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!!” and warned regime enforcers to remember that “they will pay a big price.” He announced the immediate cancellation of all meetings with Iranian officials until the killings stop and promised protesters that “HELP IS ON ITS WAY.”

Trump also escalated economic pressure, declaring a 25% tariff on any country that continues doing business with Iran, effectively imposing a new global embargo aimed at collapsing the regime’s financial lifelines.

Behind the scenes, senior aides—including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance—are preparing response options, including potential military action, as protests spread and the Islamic Republic faces its most serious challenge in decades.

The message from Trump was unmistakable: the regime’s time is running out, and the United States is preparing to act.

“Effective immediately, any Country doing business with the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a Tariff of 25% on any and all business being done with the United States of America. This Order is final and conclusive….” – PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

DUBAI, Jan 13 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump urged Iranians on Tuesday to keep protesting and said help was on the way, without giving details, as Iran’s clerical establishment pressed its crackdown against the biggest demonstrations in years.

“Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING – TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!!… HELP IS ON ITS WAY,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social, adding he had canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the “senseless killing” of protesters stopped.

The unrest, sparked by dire economic conditions, has posed the biggest internal challenge to Iran’s clerical rulers for at least three years and has come at a time of intensifying international pressure after Israeli and U.S. strikes last year.
An Iranian official said earlier on Tuesday that about 2,000 people had been killed in the protests, the first time authorities have acknowledged the high death toll from an intense crackdown on two weeks of nationwide unrest.

The Iranian official, speaking to Reuters, said that people he called terrorists were behind the deaths of both protesters and security personnel. The official, who declined to be named, did not give a breakdown of who had been killed.

On Monday evening, Trump announced 25% import tariffs on products from any country doing business with Iran – a major oil exporter. Trump has also said more military action is among options he is weighing to punish Iran over the crackdown, saying earlier this month “we are locked and loaded”.

Tehran has not yet responded publicly to Trump’s announcement of the tariffs, but it was swiftly criticized by China. Iran, already under heavy U.S. sanctions, exports much of its oil to China, with Turkey, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates and India among its other top trading partners.

RUSSIA CONDEMNS ‘SUBVERSIVE EXTERNAL INTERFERENCE’

Russia condemned what it described as “subversive external interference” in Iran’s internal politics, saying on Tuesday that U.S. threats of new military strikes against the country were “categorically unacceptable.”

“Those who plan to use externally inspired unrest as a pretext for repeating the aggression against Iran committed in June 2025 must be aware of the disastrous consequences of such actions for the situation in the Middle East and global international security,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

However, underscoring the international uncertainty over what comes next in Iran, which has been one of the dominant powers across the Middle East for decades, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said he believed the government would fall.”I assume that we are now witnessing the final days and weeks of this regime,” he said, adding that if it had to maintain power through violence, “it is effectively at its end”.

IRAN’S TWO-HEADED VIPER: As the Regime Crumbles, MEK Circles to Hijack the Revolution

In the streets of Tehran, the smell of cordite and the roar of a nation in revolt have rendered the “calculated” language of Washington and Brussels obsolete. But as the Islamic Republic’s house of cards teeters on the edge of a terminal collapse, a second, equally parasitic threat is circling the carcass: the Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK).

Make no mistake: Iran is currently fighting a war on two fronts. One is against a decrepit theocracy that hangs its youth from construction cranes; the other is against a cult-like mercenary outfit that has spent decades buying the souls of Western politicians to bypass its own bloody history. To save Iran, both must be purged.

The world watched in horror on January 11, 2026, as the theoretical threat of MEK violence on U.S. soil became a bloody reality. In the heart of Los Angeles’s Westwood neighbourhood, a U-Haul truck – acting as a literal battering ram – tore through a crowd of thousands supporting the Iranian people’s right to self-determination. This was not a random act of road rage; the truck was adorned with a banner declaring: NO SHAH, NO MULAH. USA: DON’T REPEAT 1953. NO MULLAH.”

This specific slogan is the precise ideological brand of the MEK and its political wing, the NCRI. This incident follows a chilling pattern established by the June 2025 “U-Haul Massacre” in Los Angeles and the October 2025 “Alameda Charge,” where a vehicle was driven toward federal personnel during civil unrest. The strategy is classic MEK: operate in the shadows, leverage chaos, and use “activism” as a front for paramilitary tactics. You cannot “delist” the nature of a scorpion. Hillary Clinton’s 2012 decision to scrub them from the Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) list wasn’t an act of justice; it was a surrender to the most expensive lobbying campaign in Washington history.

The spectacle of Maryam Rajavi’s “Free Iran” conventions in 2025 was a masterclass in political prostitution. It is a sickening open secret: high-profile GOP hawks and a handful of Democrats are being paid “handsomely” – ranging from $25,000 to $50,000 per speech – to shill for a woman who runs her organization like a high-security cult. When Mike Pompeo or Rudy Giuliani stand on a stage and claim Rajavi represents the “will of the Iranian people,” they aren’t speaking for the protesters in Isfahan. They are reading a script purchased by an organization that mandates forced divorces, sleep deprivation, and absolute ideological submission among its members in Albania’s “Ashraf-3” camp. These politicians have sold the sovereignty of 85 million Iranians for the price of a luxury SUV.

The financial rot runs deeper than mere guest appearances; it is a systemic buy-out of American foreign policy. In 2025 alone, the MEK’s front organizations poured millions into “honorariums” and “travel expenses” for a roster of DC power players, effectively turning the tragedy of the Iranian people into a lucrative revenue stream for the Western elite. While the Iranian Rial collapses and families in Tehran starve under the weight of the regime’s corruption, Mike Pence – who reportedly pocketed $430,000 from the group – and a cadre of House and Senate “caucus” members continue to shill for Rajavi’s 10-point plan as if it were a holy text. These “freedom fighters” for hire aren’t just ignoring the MEK’s history of slaughtering Kurds and siding with Saddam; they are actively silencing the 2026 grassroots movement by crowning an unelected, cult-leading “President-elect” in a DC ballroom. This isn’t diplomacy – it’s a paid hit on the future of Iranian democracy.

The Islamic Republic and the MEK are not enemies; they are symmetrical opposites that feed off each other’s extremism to justify their own parasitic existence. This duality is anchored in a shared obsession with the cult of personality, where Khamenei demands absolute worship as the “Representative of God” while Rajavi commands fealty as the self-appointed “President-elect” of a non-existent government. Neither entity tolerates dissent, as both rely on the total erasure of the individual in favor of blind ideological submission.

Furthermore, both are drowning in a blood debt that the Iranian people will never forgive: while the Mullahs spent 2024 and 2025 executing thousands to maintain their grip on a shattered economy, the MEK remains stained by the ultimate betrayal of fighting alongside Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq War. For the average Iranian, siding with the butcher who gassed their soldiers is a sin that no amount of Washington lobbying can wash away. This is why the 2026 uprising is leaderless by design; the youth in the Grand Bazaar and the students in Shiraz are not shouting for Rajavi, but for a secular, decentralized democracy. They recognize that the MEK is simply the “B-team” of the current regime – a mirror image of the same authoritarian rot that must be shoved off the stage of history alongside the theocracy it claims to oppose.

The MEK belongs back on the Terrorist List. Their involvement in domestic U.S. unrest and their continued use of “troll farms” and psychological warfare prove they have never abandoned the gun; they’ve just learned to hide it behind a suit. To the “Strike Force” of the Iranian resistance currently facing down IRGC bullets: do not let your revolution be hijacked by the ghosts of the 1970s. The path to a free Iran does not go through the MEK’s compound in Albania or the pockets of paid-off U.S. Senators. It ends with the total dismantling of the clerical system and the permanent exile of the Rajavi cult.

Iran does not need a “transitional government” designed in a DC boardroom. It needs the world to stop funding its oppressors – whether they wear robes in Tehran or tailored suits in Paris. The two-headed viper is dying; it is time for the Iranian people to cut off both heads once and for all.

Hamas Uses Influx of Cash to Rebuild and Recruit More Terrorists

Israel’s military has drawn up plans for a new ground operation inside Hamas-controlled territory in Gaza, according to people briefed on the plans. Hamas is focusing on rebuilding military capabilities lost during the war, including parts of its damaged tunnel infrastructure, Arab and Israeli officials said. The U.S.-designated terrorist group also has received a new influx of cash that has helped it regularly pay salaries to its fighters again, the officials said. — Wall Street Journal

While Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed during his meeting with Trump last month to cooperate with efforts to advance the ceasefire, he does not believe that they will be successful in disarming Hamas and has accordingly directed the IDF to prepare for a contingency plan, the Arab diplomat says.

Israel, Hamas ready to resume war in Gaza as Trump’s peace deal stalls: report

By Gabrielle Fahmy and Anna Young

Israeli forces and Hamas are gearing up to resume deadly fighting in the Gaza Strip, with both sides accusing each other of major cease-fire violations as progress on President Trump’s peace deal stalls, according to reports.

The Israeli military has drawn up plans for new ground operations inside the coastal enclave, as the Palestinian terror group rebuilds its wartime assets lost during the conflict, including destroyed tunnel networks, the Wall Street Journal reported Saturday, citing people briefed on the matter.

The renewed intensive military operation is slated for March and would focus on Gaza City, with the aim of expanding the Israel Defense Forces’ control over the territory, according to the Times of Israel.

Meanwhile, instead of disarming as the cease-fire requires, Hamas has been rebuilding its military capabilities, Israeli and Arab officials said.

The militant group has also been replenishing its war chest — with cash hidden in underground tunnels during the war and revenue generated by taxing goods and services in Gaza.

Israel planning new Gaza City offensive in March, but will need green-light from Trump — officials

The IDF has drawn up plans to launch renewed intensive military operations in Gaza in March, with an offensive targeting Gaza City aimed at pushing the Yellow Line ceasefire demarcation west toward the coast of the enclave, further expanding the IDF’s control of the territory, an Israeli official and an Arab diplomat told The Times of Israel.

The Arab diplomat says that the operation won’t be able to go forward without the support of the US, which is still trying to advance the fragile ceasefire reached in October 2025 to a second phase that includes Hamas’s disarmament.

On the first day of the ceasefire on October 10, Israeli forces pulled back to the Yellow Line, leaving them in control of roughly 53 percent of the Strip. The Gaza City operation planned for March would see Israel build on that percentage, the Israeli official and Arab diplomat say.

Some details of this planned offensive were first reported by The Wall Street Journal.
