Execs from Palantir, Meta, OpenAI being brought into U.S. Army as colonels to turbocharge military’s use of drone warfare, robot soldiers, other high-tech killing machines

Army says it’s part of a plan to tap commercial technology resources that will increase ‘efficiencies’ on the battlefields (i.e. killing fields) of the future.

Top executives from tech giants Meta, Palantir, and OpenAI are being sworn into the Army Reserves at the rank of lieutenant colonel. That’s an officer’s rank typically reserved for someone who has served for years and has led thousands of men into combat.

Known as Detachment 201, the new “Executive Innovation Corps” will be responsible for the military’s tech transformation, integrating new technologies such as AI-powered drones and humanoid robots, the Army announced on June 13.

Patrick Wood, editor in chief of Technocracy.News and an expert on the global technocracy movement, said the move is unprecedented.

“In the history of the military, no civilian has been summarily appointed to rank of lieutenant colonel until recently,” Wood said. “The rules changed in 2019 when the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) authorized the practice. Not surprisingly, the staff that created NDAA were populated with Technocrats.”

According to Defense Scoop, the move is the latest push by the Pentagon to tap into capabilities and know-how from Silicon Valley and the commercial sector.

The new unit “brings top tech talent into the Army Reserve to bridge the commercial-military tech gap” and is “designed to fuse cutting-edge tech expertise with military innovation,” the Army stated in a press release.

The Army is set to swear-in Meta’s chief technology officer Andrew Bosworth, OpenAI’s chief product officer Kevin Weil, Palantir’s Chief Technology Officer Shyam Sankar and Bob McGrew, an advisor at Thinking Machines Lab who was previously OpenAI’s chief research officer.

Meta, which owns Facebook, recently announced a new partnership with defense tech company Anduril to develop extended reality (XR) products for soldiers, according to Defense Scoop.

OpenAI is the creator of ChatGPT, the popular generative AI tool. According to Defense Scoop, the U.S. Pentagon is pursuing new genAI tools to “boost productivity and efficiency.”

Palantir uses AI-powered software to collect and analyze data on Americans as well as foreign nationals. It has or is working on developing various government contracts, including with the Department of Defense, CIA, FBI, IRS, ICE and local law enforcement agencies. Palantir also supplies the Israeli government with its Maven Smart System, which provides targeting data for soldiers in its various wars, from Gaza to Lebanon to Iran. If the Maven Smart System says to blow up a building because a couple of Hamas combatants are inside, that building gets blown up, as modern warfare increasingly turns such decisions over to AI. Maven Smart System has an admitted 10 percent failure rate. Apparently if AI is right 90 percent of the time in deciding who gets killed, that’s OK with the politicians who control the world’s military forces.

Palantir’s AI-driven products are capable of creating highly detailed dossiers on people by quickly scanning their social media, bank records, phone records and other data.

Regarding the automatic officer status of Palantir, OpenAI and Meta execs, the Army stated in its press release:

“Detachment 201 is an effort to recruit senior tech executives to serve part-time in the Army Reserve as senior advisors. In this role they will work on targeted projects to help guide rapid and scalable tech solutions to complex problems. By bringing private-sector know-how into uniform, Detachment 201 is supercharging efforts like the Army Transformation Initiative, which aims to make the force leaner, smarter, and more lethal.”

The swearing-in of the four new officers “is just the start of a bigger mission to inspire more tech pros to serve without leaving their careers, showing the next generation how to make a difference in uniform,” per the release.

I can’t help but wonder how much of this is going to be turned inward against the American people. These types of so-called innovations almost always are.

Taken in the context of President Trump’s creepy Operation Stargate, his enforcement of the Real ID Act, and his announced plan to develop “a proper tracking system” for all people coming in and out of our country, it’s becoming painfully clear that this administration is being used to hand Americans over to the soon-to-be globalized digital surveillance state. And they’re doing it in Warp Speed.

In my opinion, the most dangerous of all these fascist corporations is Palantir, due to the sheer scale of its involvement with the federal government, across multiple civilian agencies along with the military.

In July 2022, the Defense Post reported that the US Army Research Laboratory awarded Palantir a contract to implement artificial intelligence and machine-learning capabilities for the service’s combatant commands.

The $100 million contract will see the company produce software platforms that quickly implement advanced AI capabilities in battlefield situations.

According to Palantir, the armed forces need “best-in-class” software to fulfill missions and boost capabilities to prepare for future conflicts.

The warfare of the future has most dramatically played out in Israeli use of technology to assassinate top commanders of Hezbollah, Hamas and the Iranian Republican Guard Corps. It was also evident in Ukraine’s drone attack on Russian strategic bombers last month.

“Maintaining a leading edge through technology is foundational to our mission and partnership with the Army Research Laboratory,” said Palantir President Akash Jain said. “We are honored to support this critical work by teaming up to deliver the most advanced operational AI capabilities available with dozens of commercial and public sector partners.”

Palantir Senior Vice President Shannon Clark explained that the 2022 contract will allow US Army personnel to leverage AI insights to make quick decisions across multiple domains.

“From outer space to the sea floor, and everything in between,” she stressed.

And that includes U.S. cities when the current or future president declares martial law. Mark my words, Palantir and companiers like it will at some point become the supplier of software that helps the U.S. government hunt down political dissidents, which will include outspoken Christians and various other truthtellers.

‘Surveillance State’: NYT Report On Palantir Sparks Backlash From MAGA

Palantir Technologies became a new target for MAGA supporters when the New York Times (NYT) claimed the Trump administration intended to use the company to collect data on Americans. While Palantir staunchly denies the allegations, pro-Trump voices are urging the president to be wary of the tech giant.

The NYT’s report claims the Trump administration is using Palantir’s “Foundry” system — a data analytics program — to gather hundreds of data points on American citizens, citing anonymous government officials.

Palantir said the company received a letter Tuesday from Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Democratic Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden requesting information in response to the report.

The letter compared Palantir’s work for the U.S. government to collaborating with Nazi Germany and apartheid South Africa, according to the company.

“To be very clear: Palantir is not building a master database, and Palantir is neither conducting nor enabling mass surveillance of American citizens,” Palantir stated Tuesday, asserting the NYT’s report is speculation “based on fundamental misunderstandings” of its software.

Nonetheless, MAGA acolytes are sparring over the company’s work with the Trump administration. “War Room” host Steve Bannon warned that Palantir’s pervasive work across the federal government amounted to a “surveillance state.” Others flagged Palantir’s past work stopping the “far-right” in Europe and its chief executive’s support of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris as potential areas of concern.

Palantir’s Foundry is being used in at least four federal agencies, the NYT’s report alleged. It is a tool that allows engineers to monitor data, according to Palantir’s blog.

President Donald Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have prioritized government efficiency and streamlining information sharing.

Trump signed the Eliminating Information Silos executive order in March, which was targeted at enabling agencies to share information with each other. Its purpose is to “[remove] unnecessary barriers to Federal employees accessing Government data and promoting inter-agency data sharing,” according to the order.

The NYT speculated that Palantir could be integral to that mission.

Additionally, Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” that passed the House in May included a provision that prohibited U.S. states from regulating AI for the next ten years.

Palantir first blasted the NYT a few days after the report and asserted it does not “unlawfully surveil Americans.”

“The recently published article by the New York Times is blatantly untrue,” Palantir stated on X. “Palantir never collects data to unlawfully surveil Americans, and our Foundry platform employs granular security protections. If the facts were on its side, the New York Times would not have needed to twist the truth.”

Palantir also said the NYT sells consumer’s personal data, pointing to the publication’s privacy page.

They hire technical people to exploit and sell your data. Exactly what Palantir does NOT do,” Palantir claimed on X.

Although Palantir was recently thrust into the spotlight, its work for the federal government goes back decades.

Left-wing activists assailed the company over its role with the Trump administration’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), but ICE has used Palantir since at least 2011, according to a DHS award.

The company’s work with ICE appears to be ramping up under the Trump administration, though.

ICE is set to advance a “sole-source contract” to Palantir, according to a 2025 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) notice. Palantir is the only vendor capable of enabling ICE to perform its mission, the document said.

Palantir is also working on ICE’s ImmigrationOS, a platform targeted at identifying illegal aliens and tracking self-deportations, according to DHS documents. ICE awarded Palantir a nearly $30 million contract in April to create the platform to streamline deportations.

The company is helping ICE find the “physical location of people who are marked for deportation,” according to Palantir Slacks and internal communications reportedly obtained by 404 media.

CNN and WIRED also published reports in April claiming DOGE is using Palantir to assist in constructing a database to help authorities surveil illegal aliens.

Thirteen former Palantir employees recently signed a letter in protest, lamenting that the tech behemoth has “grown hostile to diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

Palantir also works with the Department of Defense (DOD), which awarded Palantir USG Inc. — a subsidiary — a $795 million contract in May. Additionally, it was one of the sponsors of the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday parade on June 14.

Palantir has received hundreds of millions in federal grants across agencies over the past 12 months, according to data from USA Spending.

Palantir stated in a 2020 blog post that it is not a “data company” but rather a software corporation. “We do not collect, store, or sell personal data,” the post read.

The NYT’s allegations prompted a largely negative reaction from MAGA supporters, including Bannon.

“We’re not for the surveillance state,” he said on his “War Room” show. “We’re free men and women. We believe in liberty and freedom.”

Other critics pointed to an interview that Palantir’s Chief Executive, Alex Karp, did with CNBC.

The outlet interviewed Karp in 2023 in Davos, Switzerland. Karp said one of the company’s platforms, Palantir Gotham (PG), stopped the “far-right” in Europe.

“Look, we built PG which single-handedly stopped the rise of the far-right in Europe,” Karp said. “We built Foundry, which was just, it was used to distribute the COVID vaccine and saved millions of lives globally.”

Like tech billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, Karp has pushed back against wokeness.

He slammed woke ideology in 2024, calling it a “form of a thin pagan religion,” according to footage. He criticized Democrats at the Reagan National Defense Forum in 2024, saying that Americans, “do not want to hear your woke pagan ideology,” according to a clip on X.

Karp is also outspokenly pro-Israel, and he flew the board of his company to the country in January 2024. Moreover, Palantir supplied Israel with tools after the Hamas attacks on Oct. 7, 2023, according to Bloomberg.

Palantir skeptics in MAGA, however, have pointed to Karp’s past statements on Trump.

Karp donated $360,000 to Biden and supported former Vice President Kamala Harris, he told the NYT in a 2024 interview. He told NYT that he pushed back against Theil’s support of Trump during the first presidential campaign.

“Because Peter had supported Mr. Trump, it was actually harder to get things done,” Karp told the outlet.

He previously criticized Trump and his immigration stances in 2015, according to videos obtained by Buzzfeed in 2017. In a 2024 Bloomberg interview, he defended Palantir’s work for ICE and said he supports “a fair but rigorous immigration policy.”

He also told the outlet that he “[agrees] with progressives on most issues.”

Another point of contention was Palantir’s work for the Biden administration during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Biden administration announced in 2023 that it secured commitments from eight companies, including Palantir, to advance the “trustworthy” development of AI technology, according to a press release.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) awarded Palantir a $443 million “consolidated disease surveillance contract” in 2022, FedScoop reported.

Palantir worked with the federal government in 2021 to help distribute the COVID-19 vaccine, according to a company press release.

It built the platform “Tiberius” for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to “track vaccine production, distribution, and administration across the United States,” the release noted.

Biden also deployed Palantir to aid the CDC in “disease tracking” during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) originally reported in 2020.

Palantir has been intertwined with the most secretive parts of the U.S. government since its inception.

It was created in the aftermath of Sept. 11, 2001, and was initially funded by the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) venture capital arm, In-Q-Tel, according to The Financial Times. Palantir’s customers have included the CIA, National Security Agency (NSA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), according to a 2013 Forbes report.

The NSA’s relationship with Palantir reportedly ended, according to Buzzfeed in 2017.

Palantir’s name is derived from the “palantiri,” or the all-seeing stones that the wizard Saruman used for surveillance in J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings.”

The company was created by billionaire Peter Thiel, who supported both Trump and Vice President JD Vance, the latter of whom has known Thiel since 2011, according to an op-ed Vance wrote in 2020.

The other co-founders include Karp, Joe Lonsdale, Nathan Gettings and Stephen Cohen.

Karp and Thiel are both members of the Bilderberg Group’s steering committee, according to the organization’s website.

The Bilderberg Group holds annual invite-only meetings with industry and world leaders. Their June 2025 meeting in Sweden highlighted “AI, Deterrence and National Security” as well as “Depopulation and Migration.”

“Palantir is here to disrupt and make the institutions we partner with the very best in the world and, when it’s necessary, to scare enemies and on occasion kill them,” Karp said in a quarterly February earnings call, according to Sherwood News.

Billionaire technocrat Peter Thiel’s company, Palantir, lands $30 million contract with ICE to help round up and deport illegals

What could possibly go wrong with such a system in government hands?

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has awarded a $30 million contract to arch-technocrat Peter Thiel’s company, Palantir Technologies.

The contract calls for Palantir to develop ImmigrationOS, a comprehensive digital platform aimed at streamlining and expanding the agency’s deportation apparatus.

Biometric Update reports that the contract marks a deepening of Palantir’s role in immigration enforcement, which stretches back to when it first supplied data-gathering tools to ICE in 2014.

Palantir also has contracts with the CIA, FBI and DoD and, as I reported on April 14, recently struck a deal with NATO to supply AI-powered Smart warfighting systems.

President Trump pledged on the campaign trail to deport at least 13 million illegal aliens in what he said would be “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”

However, his efforts have been severely hampered by logistical, legal, and political hurdles. In the first 50 days of Trump’s second term, ICE reported a mere 32,000 arrests, nothing approaching the millions of deportations promised by Trump and his border czar Tom Homan.

According to the report by Biometric Update:

ImmigrationOS is an end-to-end digital ecosystem that automates the lifecycle of deportation. Its architecture is built to optimize three primary enforcement areas. First, the system prioritizes targets using AI to sift through immigration records, criminal histories, and social indicators such as known affiliations or prior infractions.

“Second, it provides near real-time monitoring of “self-deportation” events, enabling ICE to track individuals who exit the United States voluntarily, often under pressure. Third, it supports what the agency refers to as ‘immigration lifecycle management,’ which includes coordinating logistics for detentions, removals, and administrative follow-through to minimize operational delays.

“At the center of this platform is the integration of data from an extraordinary range of sources. ImmigrationOS pulls from the Social Security Administration (SSA), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and state voter rolls, among others.”

Biometric Update noted that there are allegations that data for ImmigrationOS is being sourced through unauthorized access to government databases, facilitated by individuals with high-level access, leading to concerns about the legality and ethics of the data-collection methods being employed.

If you’re a patriotic flag-waving MAGA Republican, this might all sound just dandy. And I agree, we have way too many illegals in this country.

But if you’re a thinking conservative whose patriotism is tethered to a strong belief that government cannot be trusted to stay within its Constitutional bounds, this story is disturbing. Is it not part of a strategic move, a Hegelian dialectic, on the part of the globalists to create a problem under one administration, in this case that of Joe Biden, that cries out for a solution by the next administration, even if by extraordinary means? And if that extraordinary means is normalized, could it not be weaponized against American citizens later on, likely by a future administration?

Think about this: What’s to stop Palantir from selling this same AI-powered software system to the FBI or DHS under a future Democrat administration, renaming it, and using it to round up outspoken Christian conservatives and Trump supporters and place them in detention camps?

It may sound crazy, but we’ve already seen a nationwide manhunt for J6ers under the Biden administration. They looked under every stone for folks whose biggest crime was trusting police who welcomed them into the Capitol and a space they weren’t supposed to legally be in. Think of how quickly they could have rounded those folks up with Palantir’s data-gathering and self-analyzing artificial intelligence! This system can find out everything about a person within a matter of seconds, including where you live, where you shop, where you bank, where you work, your favorite hangouts, and the same information about all your friends, family members and co-workers.

Trump-Vance billionaire backer Peter Thiel sells ‘Smart AI warfighting’ system to NATO while talking up U.S. trade war with China

Stock in Thiel’s company, Palantir, soars Monday on news of major new deal inked with NATO Allied Command Operations.

Peter Thiel is the most influential man in the Trump White House that almost nobody in America is familiar with. Most Americans have never heard of Thiel and wouldn’t be able to tell you one fact about him. They’re sidetracked and distracted by Thiel’s good friend and fellow technocrat, Elon Musk. But don’t be fooled.

President Trump’s push to recalibrate the U.S.-China trade relationship has the full endorsement of the Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel.

Thiel, one of the infamous “PayPal mafia,” and a major financier of the Trump-Vance ticket, recently told American Optimist host Joe Lonsdale that “something like the sort of reset that they’re talking about now seems where we’re going, where you need a very drastic reset with China.”

Thiel went on to say he believes some industrial capacity should be moved from China back to the U.S., where it will be handled mostly by AI and robots, and the rest should be moved from one communist country, China, to another communist country, Vietnam.

Thiel is an agent of the global deep state and the Western military-industrial complex. He not only co-founded PayPal, which was intended to replace paper money with digital and conditioned Americans to accept digital transactions, he also was one of the earliest investors in Facebook.

Facebook was largely a CIA invention that surveils, categorizes and stores Americans’ thoughts and opinions on basically everything. Thiel is the founder of another sinister enterprise called Palantir, whose biggest client at one point was the CIA and also now sells an AI-based “warfighting program” to the U.S. and NATO. You get the feeling from his comments in the above-cited interview that Thiel may want to test out his new AI warfighting program against the Chinese.

It was announced today (Monday April 14) that Palantir’s AI-enabled Maven Smart System NATO (MSS NATO) will be employed within NATO’s Allied Command Operations (ACO), triggering a significant advancement in the modernization of its warfighting capabilities.

Stockwits.com writes:

Shares of Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR) soared nearly 6% on Monday morning after the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) said the agency and Palantir have finalized the acquisition of an AI-enabled warfighting system.

Palantir is chaired by noted investor and Donald Trump-backer Peter Thiel, one of Facebook’s earliest investors.

Palantir’s Maven Smart System NATO (MSS NATO) will be employed within NATO’s Allied Command Operations (ACO), enabling a significant advancement in the modernization of its warfighting capabilities.

The article goes on to state that the Palantir system empowers commanders and warfighters to leverage cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) safely and securely in core military operations.

The NCIA said the procurement of MSS NATO was “one of the most expeditious in NATO’s history, taking only six months from outlining the requirement to acquiring the system.”

NATO’s Allied Command Operations (ACO) is expected to start using the new system within the next 30 days, the article states, adding:

“SHAPE Chief of Staff General Markus Laubenthal said that Maven Smart System NATO enables the Alliance to leverage complex data, accelerate decision-making, and add true operational value.”

Palantir shares have gained more than 24% in 2025 since Trump took office.

So don’t believe all the talk about Trump wanting to leave NATO. His buddy and financial backer, Peter Thiel, is totally invested in NATO as a war fighting machine.
