CNN Always Blames Conservatives for Terrorism

John Nolte tells the truth. But it isn’t just CNN: numerous people who are putatively on the right, including Donald Trump, Bill O’Reilly, Laura Ingraham and others who should know better but clearly don’t, lined up after our free speech event in Garland, Texas last May to blame us for the jihad terror attack on the event.

Planned Parenthood & Pamela Geller: CNN Always Blames Conservatives for Terrorism,” by John Nolte, Breitbart, November 30, 2015:

Chris Cuomo: “Now we get into why did it happen? The man charged with Friday’s murderous attack on a Colorado Planned Parenthood is probably a crazy extremist who did something sick and negative and wrong. But isn’t killing babies primarily for purposes of convenience provocative?

Alisyn Camerota: “What people are saying is that the business you are in, aborting innocent unborn children primarily for convenience purposes, is incendiary and provocative.”

Erin Burnett: “Is being caught on video talking so cavalierly about dismembering innocent babies and selling their parts stoking the flames? Do you think on some level, Planned Parenthood relished this attack?”

Carol Costello: “Is Planned Parenthood’s belligerent insistence on taxpayer funding a deliberate attempt to provoke and taunt?”

The questions above are fabricated. Not a single one of CNN’s left-wing anchors raised anything close to the idea that Planned Parenthood’s horrific abortion practices provoked last week’s violence.  Which is appropriate. What happened at a Colorado Planned Parenthood Friday afternoon was indefensible and evil. The only person responsible is the person who committed those three murders.

Throughout Monday, though, and on too many occasions to count, like the rest of the DC Media, CNN did attempt to blame conservative pro-lifers for provoking the Friday attack, this includes the Center for Medical Progress, a group that exposed Planned Parenthood’s ghoulish cottage industry involving the dismemberment of dead babies and the selling of those tiny body parts to the highest bidder.

And yet, if it means the left-wing network can blame conservatives, this very same CNN does see cartoons as a provocative taunt that makes the intended victim in some way responsible for the terrorism. (Donald Trump said the same thing, by the way).

Back in May, after Islamic terrorists tried to murder everyone at a Texas free speech event organized by Pamela Geller, CNN relentlessly attacked Geller for wearing a short free speech skirt. According to CNN, the bitch was begging for it.

Believe it or not, these quotes are real:

Chris Cuomo to Pam Geller: “Now, we get into, why did it happen? They’re crazy extremists. They bought into an ideology that is sick and negative and wrong, that’s fact. But what you did was calculated in a way that would be provocative.”

Alisyn Camerota to Pam Geller: “What people are saying is that there is that there is always this fine line of being intentionally incendiary and provocative.”

Erin Burnett to Pam Geller: “I mean, are you stoking the flames? Do you on some level relish being the target of these attacks?”

Carol Costello: “She can say whatever she wants but if this [cartoon] contest was set up to deliberately taunt or provoke, is that responsible?”

At CNN, no matter what happens, the political Right is always to blame.

Even for train crashes.

Today’s reminder of just how good Democrats got it … especially at CNN.

Media Nixing Comments Sections: When “Civility” Really Means “Political Correctness”

When leftists start talking about “civility,” watch out for your freedom of speech. This again comes to mind with reports that some media outlets are eliminating online comments sections in civility’s name. And while it’s not a First Amendment violation (these are private-sector actions), it is largely motivated by the same mentality spawning speech codes on college campuses and “hate speech” laws overseas.

And as with those phenomena, the nixing of online comments is justified with noble-sounding sentiments. As the AFP recently reported, “Last month, Vice Media’s Motherboard news site turned off reader comments, saying ‘the scorched earth nature of comments sections just stifles real conversation.’ It instead began taking ‘letters to the editor’ to be screened by staff.”

That’s rich. What stifles conversation more than eliminating a comments section completely? As for “real conversation,” the content leftist media disgorge proves they haven’t the foggiest idea what that might be.

It’s also clear that some types of incivility are more unequal than others. Consider that the AFP also cites University of Houston communications professor Arthur Santana and writes, “‘Often the targets of the incivility are marginalized groups, including racial minorities,’ Santana said in the Newspaper Research Journal. Santana found readers referred to immigrants as ‘cockroaches, locusts, scumbags, rats, bums, buzzards, blood-sucking leeches, vermin, slime, dogs, brown invaders, wetbacks,’ among others.” Oh, the humanity!

Now, I’m not sure Prof. Santana knows what a “marginalized” group is, but I invite him to visit some left-wing sites and peruse what’s posted about Christians, and traditionalists in general. And consider these comments from under a viral 2012 YouTube video featuring a cute 6-year-old boy providing 10 reasons not to vote for Barack Obama:

  • can someone kill that child… to teach his parents a lesson!!!!
  • Where is Jerry Sandusky when you really need him? This kid needs a shower!
  • If I could id kill this kid. He’s somewhat racist and brings up obama stereotypes. Dumb redneck.
  • This child and his parents need to be euthanized.

And here’s one I’ve had to clean up (as much as leftists’ messes can be):

“GO F*** YOUR MOTHER YOU LITTLE ****-SUCKING HOMOPHOBIC GUN LOVING ****-SUCKER IF YOU WERE MY F****** KID I WOULD BE GIVING THE BIGGEST S**T KICKING OF A LIFETIME YOU LITTLE GOOD GOD FEARING GOOD FOR F****** NOTHING F****** ****-SUCKER!!!!!!”

Funny thing, though, we didn’t hear about the pressing need to eliminate comments sections after displays such as the above, which aren’t unusual in the vile netherworld of leftist websites (the Left is governed by irrational emotion). It’s only now — in the midst of an anti-establishment revolution, as represented by support for Donald Trump and the anti-migration demonstrations in Europe — that we hear, “Oh my, Scarlet, the Internet is so full of meanies! Cover your virginal eyes!”

Let’s be clear: This has little more to do with “civility” than Marxism has to do with improving the lot of “workers.” And while some sites claim that nasty comments sections alienate readers, the feature likely yields a net gain in traffic; after all, it does inspire return visits by those who do participate. So what does largely drive this “civility” concern?

Political correctness.

It’s all about the media’s effort to control the narrative. Think about it: a reporter crafts his propaganda.

Then this is undermined by commenters saying that the emperor-media have no clothes.

For example, a news piece may quote a few citizens talking about how Muslim migrants in Europe have fled danger and have to be accepted in compassion’s name. But then commenters not only point out that most are military-age males, weren’t actually imperiled, are Sharia-minded and have no intention of assimilating, but also exhibit great zeal while doing so, illustrating that the anti-media side has the facts and great passion. And the combination of ethos, logos and pathos is very powerful.

And here’s another example (these are random; countless others could be cited): an article will reflexively refer to, let’s say, French National Front leader Marine Le Pen as “far right.” This can be effective because what’s assumed is learned best.

That is, it can be effective unless commenters point out that she takes mostly statist positions and only distinguishes herself by opposing Muslim immigration. Then pop goes the agenda.

So the media shape a message and then commenters point out that it’s misshapen and shape another. The media report in one way and commenters provide a kind of counter-reportage. And this can be intense. Consequently, when I see an article in certain news organs about, for example, immigration or a black-on-white bias crime, I generally know to expect something such as the following message below it: “Sorry we are not currently accepting comments on this article.”

But as they might write in comments sections:

Sorry we are not currently accepting comments criticism on this politically correct article.”

Ftfy.

Because that’s what it really means. Under such pieces — especially when Drudge links to them — you can expect comments to run 15 or 20 to 1 against the article’s narrative. So the site won’t accept comments “currently” — or later or ever. For such complete commenter repudiation of the content turns a would-be brainwasher into an “is” laughingstock. It’s not virginal eyes that might be offended by commenter incivility that the media worry about, you see, but naïve eyes that could be opened by commenter insightfulness.

Then there’s the threat to political correctness itself. It is the leftist media’s preferred social code, and they want us to assume it’s everyone’s preference. But comments sections replete with politically incorrect postings (the good, the bad and the ugly) prove that pcness is much like the old Soviet Union’s state ideology: most everyone fears the ideological machinery of the powers-that-be — but relatively few truly subscribe to the ideology itself.

In a way, the shutting down of comments sections is akin to quelling street demonstrations. There’s strength in numbers, and these sections are virtual demonstrations where citizens can come together and speak truth to power; they enable people to join a phalanx of philosophical soul mates. Instead of asking, “Am I alone in thinking this article is bunk?” you can know that millions stand with you. But it serves the mainstream media’s agenda if you think you’re alone.

The AFP article also mentions how forcing people to post comments under their real names, as Facebook does, encourages “civility.” Many leftists love this idea, but it’s more rank hypocrisy. It’s easy to feign principle and bloviate about how people should be man enough to take ownership of their opinions when yours are politically correct. But we live in a time when ex-CEO Brendan Eich was forced to resign from Mozilla Corporation for supporting marriage, a real-estate agent was fired for complaining about the flying of a foreign flag on U.S. soil, and pizza-shop owners were forced into hiding by death threats merely for saying they wouldn’t cater a faux wedding. We live in a time in which treason is the elitist norm. So why do some liberals favor the elimination of Internet anonymity? Well, how else can you know whom to persecute?

Having said this, true Internet incivility is a problem. I’ve often lamented the profanity rife on the Web (kids sometimes see these things, you know), a phenomenon that just further coarsens society. But that’s not mainly what Leftists complain about when sanctimoniously speaking of “incivility”; in fact, they’re the very ones who mainstreamed profanity (unfortunately, too many conservatives follow their lead), as Hollywood movies attest. Yet their lying tongues are far worse than their dirty mouths. For the worst kind of incivility is insincerity in discourse.

William F. Buckley once observed, “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.” This is the main reason Internet comments sections may shock and offend liberals. They like their echo chambers and don’t want to hear other views. It’s “out of sight, out of mind.” And because they want to control minds, they don’t want you to hear other views, either.

The Poison of Political Correctness

The politically correct control freaks are on the move and way beyond crazy.  For example, political correct lemmings are so goofy they want to let terrorists and other illegal immigrants into America while attacking cumulus clouds in their wacky environmental movement war on the United States.  Of all places, Philadelphia the city of brotherly love, where the Founding Fathers assembled at Independence Hall and declared freedom from British tyranny just a few years ago witnessed it’s tyrannical mayor unleash his powerful government wrath against the Boy Scouts.  He threatened to boot them out of their historical national headquarters because at the time Boy Scout leaders were still holding on to the Christian principles that were the hallmark of that organization.

As surely as the world turns the politically correct freaks continue to bring their misery into the days of our lives.  The political correct freaks have invaded just about every single segment of our republic. Even when it comes to the protection of our country from enemies their politically correct influence endangers our safety.  So now the U.S. Justice Department according to assistant Justice Department director John Carlin is going on the muscle against domestic terrorism.

John Carlin, head of the Department of Justice national security division announced the new Domestic Terrorism Division will focus on domestic threats.  He added, “In order to ensure that we are gaining the benefits of the information and input from those eyes on the ground from around the country, and in recognition of a growing number of potential domestic terrorism matters around the United States, we have created a new position to assist with our important work in combating domestic terrorism.”  Carlin went on to emphasize what he called the increasing risk from homegrown terrorism and specifically white supremacy.

Carlin also pointed out “We recognize that over the past few years, more people have died in this country in attacks by domestic extremists than in attacks associated with international terrorist groups.”  To put it bluntly, what a crock of politically correct garbage.  First of all, this is a nation of laws.  If the government would enforce the laws already on the books without politically correct influences, the government would strongly deal with enemies both foreign and domestic.

There is no logical reason for the Department of Justice to take this politically correct approach.  However the government has become a rouge enforcer of globalist political correct dogma at the expense of America and the unalienable rights of “We the People.”  Mr. Carlin said that the D.O.J. will specifically emphasize white supremacy.  Big whoop Mr. Carlin, where was the Justice department after Louis Farrakhan spoke about the need for ten thousand brave men to kill?  Where is the Justice Department when Americans are needlessly murdered by illegal immigrants let in by the federal government that has so-far refused to build proper fencing and effectively guard the American borders?

The politically correct freaks have taken over almost all of the far too many government departments in addition to the Department of Justice.  It seems as if Department of Justice officials are gearing up to work in concert with Obama administration plans to bring over a United Nations inspired international police force that is supposed to go after domestic extremists. This kind of evil is in lock step the politically correct freak who prefer the rights of illegal immigrants, animals, trannies and muslims who hate all non-muslims above the unalienable rights of you and I.

The politically correct freaks don’t believe in your right of self-protection.  That is one of the reasons it was easy for president Obama to announce he wanted to politicize the gun issue.  To him it was more important to drum up support for taking guns from law abiding sovereign citizens than showing gratitude to Chris Mintz, who bravely tried to save others from knuckle dragging murderer. Thanks but no-thanks to politically correct freaks, it was easy for the cowardly murderer to go after people he knew would be unarmed thanks to a politically correct work environment that discourages good people from protecting themselves.

The politically correct freaks in the form a homeowners association are so ensconced in evil and stupidity, they recently turned their bigoted ire toward Donna Morey of Hatfield Pa.  Why? Because she dared to fly a small blue star flag in her upstairs bedroom window in honor of her son’s military service.  Ms. Morey said that she had been flying the flag for nearly a year, but recently got a call telling her that she could be running afoul of the rules, in the complex where she lives.  The silly rules state that only white or off white window treatments may be visible from outside of the house.  Her son Donald Morey is a major in the army who has served tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.  By the way, the Blue Star Flag is traditionally displayed by families of active servicemen and women.

Last but not least, the immoral politically correct freaks also continue to show their unyielding disdain of presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson.  Simply because he, like yours truly refuses to act, speak, or believe the way that the politically correct freaks (or progressives) want him to.  In other words, Dr. Carson tells the truth concerning economics, abortion, American history, etc. and God forbid, he loves America and wants to see the reestablishment of proper moral instruction.  By the way, a return to good moral instruction and faith in God will go a long way in helping Americans make better choices, even at the ballot box.  Something the politically correct freaks don’t want to happen.

Standing up to Islam: The West Redefines Itself to Death

If Ann Coulter were to live in Russia, her writing would probably be similar to that of Yulia Latynina, one of my favorite Russian-language political commentators and critics of Putin’s government.

Latynina’s latest column, I believe, must be shared with all people living in Western countries, or at least with those not yet trapped inside the intellectual maze of their own invention. In this conflict of civilizations, winning requires clarity of vision — something the West no longer has due to its postmodernist obsession with recalibrating and redefining itself.

West redefines itself

Below is my somewhat loose translation of Latynina’s column — “loose” because, as you will see later, precision sometimes is the enemy of clarity.

“I’m all for free speech, but…” proclaims the chorus of Western intellectuals following the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris, imagining that their role in this tragedy is to make simple things look complicated. They are gravely misguided: there are no “buts” in that script.

In the 1940s, as scientists began to develop the theory of quantum electrodynamics, they discovered a weird problem in their equations: the electron mass seemed to be correct in the first approximation, but all further attempts to define it more precisely resulted in impossibly divergent series. The more they tried to refine the number, the more absurd it became, with the electron mass growing to infinity.

Finally the American physicist Richard Feynman introduced a cut-off point, suggesting to subtract infinity from infinity. In a work that won him the Nobel Prize, Feynman came up with a procedure called “renormalization.” Roughly speaking, it prohibits endless refinements and claims that the first approximate value is the most correct. In other words, don’t kill yourself with infinite refinements and use Occam’s razor.

West redefines itselfIt seems we now need a similar cut-off point in order to understand what is happening in the real world. Whoever brings “renormalization” into public life will also deserve a Nobel Prize because, frankly, we’re killing ourselves with infinite refinements.

The facts are as plain as a road sign: the French journalists were murdered for exercising free speech. They were real live people. The Islamists did it in order to intimidate the free world and take away its freedom of speech.

“But…” we hear from all directions, “but…”

“…But those cartoons were offensive to believers.”

“…But they overstepped all sorts of boundaries.”

“…But this is merely a mutual misunderstanding of each other’s cultural traditions.”

“…And anyway, let’s not confuse terrorism with Islam, which is a peaceful religion.”

“…And are you saying that Islam somehow promotes extremism? Are you really equating Islam with terrorism? That sounds like fascism! Shame on you!”

“…And aren’t you forgetting that different cultures have different values?”

“…And why all the fuss about those dead journalists when more people are getting killed in the Iraqi war?

West redefines itself

And so on and so forth, until after five or six loops of such “divergent series,” the plain fact of a brutal murder transforms into an infinitely complex cultural phenomenon. And with it, anyone speaking against Islamic terrorism transforms into a narrow-minded bigot, ignorant of traditional cultures with their spiritual values, someone who unjustly smears all Muslims and forgets that the West is guilty before the Third World for colonialism.

Allow me another math metaphor. There is a mathematical concept of a “fuzzy set.” It is vital in developing artificial intelligence and recognition technologies because our world, as it were, consists of fuzzy sets.

We call some women “beautiful” and some others we call “ugly.” We say that some countries are “free” and some others are “dictatorships.” But if we begin to refine our arguments, we will often find out that “free” countries lack certain freedoms, or that an “ugly” woman has a shapely chin, an attractive nose, or at least a mysterious color in her eyes. That’s because beauty and freedom are fuzzy sets. And if your goal is infinite precision, you’ll find neither beauty nor freedom.

Some things don’t need to be precise.

As for the mutual misunderstanding of each other’s cultural traditions, let’s make one thing clear: some traditions are better than others.

At one time India had a tradition of self-immolation of widows in the husband’s funeral pyres. The British colonizers could say, as modern intellectuals do, that this was just a different cultural tradition they had to respect. But the British disrespected local traditions and put up gallows next to the funeral pyres. Anyone who tried to throw a widow into the fire was hanged right next to it. That was the end of the burning of widows.

West redefines itselfThe Maori in New Zealand had a cultural tradition of cannibalism. A young warrior would not obtain a proper social status until he’d cut off the head of a man from another tribe. Once again, the British could start talking about the drama of mutually misunderstood cultural values, but they chose to ban cannibalism and head-hunting.

The Aztecs had a tradition of human sacrifice. But the narrow-minded bigot Hernando Cortes, who conquered Tenochtitlan, was not a multiculturalist and so he told the priests, their hair covered in dried human blood, to knock it off. That almost cost him his life, his victory, and Tenochtitlan.

The world has plenty of other spectacular cultural traditions. Some cultures practiced artificial cranial deformation by binding the heads of their infants. Others are still cutting out the clitoris of their young girls. The Etoro people of Papua New Guinea have a remarkable cultural tradition of all-inclusive pedophilia, as they believe young boys must ingest the semen of their elders daily from the age of 7 until they turn 17 to achieve adult male status and to properly mature and grow strong. The procedure is mandatory — “it’s for the children,” don’t you know.

So not all traditions are equal. Some traditions are absolutely evil. Europe, too, has given up on some of its traditions, like the burning of witches. And China has stopped the foot binding of little girls, along with its time-honored tradition of death by a thousand cuts.

Some may be surprised, but Islam at one point has also abandoned a few traditions. For the first two-thirds of the twentieth century Muslims didn’t blow anyone up for free speech. On the contrary, their best leaders, such as Kemal Ataturk, or Mohammed Zahir Shah, or Reza Pahlavi brought their respective countries closer to Western standards.

West redefines itselfIt was only after the West betrayed its own standards by adopting moral relativity and multiculturalism, that former Ataturks and Zakir Shahs were replaced by Bin Ladens and the Kuashi brothers.

In this sense, the problem with the modern world is not the strengthening of Islamism. It is the weakening of the West, which keeps refining, recalibrating, and redefining itself to death.

It’s a fool’s errand, to look for precision in the world of fuzzy sets. As theoretical physicist Feynman once said, “it is really quite impossible to say anything with absolute precision, unless that thing is so abstracted from the real world as to not represent any real thing.”

At this point in history, precision is the enemy of clarity. The West needs renormalization.

West redefines itself

Soviet Socialism in the 21st Century: A Malignant regime of Political Correctness

Don’t you think that Political Correctness is getting people killed? I believe it does. If you are watching the discussions on TV and radio today, you will be overwhelmed by the variety of opinions on how to deal with Terrorism, Ebola, ISIS, Syria, Iraq, and Ukraine. Yet, all the participant doctors, generals, politicians, and journalists are missing the major topic, the root cause of all events – Russia and its Political Correctness. Do you know the significance of the subject? Do you have an idea of the author and architect of it? We, the people who immigrated from Russia and other former Socialist countries know well Political Correctness – we lived through it half of our adult lives.

Political Correctness is a Stalinist policy, driven by the political agenda, a skillfully crafted design and a long-term strategy of war against Western civilization and creation of One World Government.

When my language allowed me to grasp current politics, I was stunned by how deeply rooted Political Correctness was in America. How could that happen? Where was the usual common sense of the nation? Where were all American intelligence agencies? If logically Knowledge is Power, unfortunately, as a result of Political Correctness, today Ignorance reins in America… And that makes me angry, because I have spent twenty-five years of my life and money to give you needed knowledge about Russia to warn you, but our Intelligence Service sabotaged my books and my numerous articles to block the information conveyed in them. Yet nothing can stop me in my mission to provide you with the Truth, because I believe in an upcoming major American re-awakening.

So, you are perhaps asking yourself: What does Political Correctness has to do with Ebola, the military, or with everyday life of the American people?

It has to do with everything and it affects the life of each citizen of America, because Political Correctness is a central part of the ongoing WW III. To present a credible explanation, I had to go to the internet to find a linguistic and historical definition of Political Correctness. It was not an easy task: the vast majority of people from academia presented only a surface commentary and a vague interpretation on the matter. Finally, I found more or less close to reality explanation of political correctness that gave the concept itself and the time of the history it was born. Timing is the key issue to comprehend the subject: “In the early-to-mid 20th century, contemporary uses of the phrase ‘Politically Correct’ were associated with the dogmatic application of Stalinist doctrine, debated between formal Communists (members of the Communist Party) and Socialists.”

In order to have an understanding of the topic, you have to know the Soviet History of those days, the real history, not the history presented in the Soviet books.

As you know, I am a child of Stalinism, I lived through that history. The timing–”In the early–to mid 20th century” is telling you almost everything— at the time, Stalin was building his cult of personality and one party system in the country. All the methods and devices were directed to those goals… For your information, Russia had numerous political parties in the early 20th century. After Lenin’s death in 1924, Stalin began the immediate elimination of a political opposition–leaders and people from different parties with political agendas contrary to his. Nobody could compete with him in the art of double-dealing and intrigues. Trotsky was the first target and he was exiled by 1927. The liquidation of other leaders was going on full speed. I do not need to present the list of them, the history of that time is telling you the methods, tools, and devises the Stalinist regime used to liquidate millions – Show Trials, Purges, imprisonments, Gulags, deportations to Siberia and Central Asia, and many other horrifying methods.

I was a tiny girl, when my Mother was imprisoned. At the time I did not know politics and I loved Stalin, but later, somewhere in the end of the forties or in the beginning of the fifties, thanks to my Father, my political education had begun. The radio was the only source of information for the masses of people; it was on in our room from early morning to a late evening. The entire country was sitting frozen, listening to Stalin speak, being afraid of missing a word from his speech. So, I too was listening to Stalin. I knew his voice well, the timbre and the manner of developing the address very slowly. Listening to the radio one day I heard Stalin using some strange words spoken by a very different intonation and tone. I cannot tell you the exact year and time of a day; I remember only the strange and unusual, to me, intonation in his voice. The phrase was very simple: “those Comrades are politically incorrect.” The intonation in his voice kind of surprised me; it was a combination of threat and sarcasm at the same time. Perhaps for this reason I remember the phrase. It stayed in my mind for a long time, however not knowing the political system of human liberty, I was unable to identify the exact meaning of the term.

If you haven’t read my books, to conceive the predicament we lived in, please just remember, that we lived in a highly centralized, one party system of total corruption in the vertical of power. All Soviet media was the property of the government; there was not a single private or independent source of information in the country. Each media unit had Department of Agitation and Propaganda and censorship. The Russian writer of the time Lidia Chukovskay wrote about our lives that we were indeed “poisoned by lethal gas” of lies and deception. She was right. To indoctrinate us in the Stalinist ideology, an arsenal of different devices was used: lies, fraud, deceit, distortion, fabrication, perjury, and so on to substitute the promising result with a process…

At the time, the predicament in Russia was so constant that I did not know how to evaluate, explain and identify the system we lived under. I knew that it was the central part of the ideology, a modus operandi in our lives, when perverted truth was putting logic up-side-down. That way Russia became a model of goodness and America became a rotten country. If at the beginning Political Correctness served as a method of fighting political oppositions, the ultimate goal was much wider–mind control, manipulation of human psyche in a variety of its methods.

Only after coming to America I was able to grasp the essence of the lethal matter – Political Correctness designed by Stalin. So, living in America, I began searching for the first official indication of the use of the term Political Correctness in Russia. The internet allowed me to go far back in political history of the world. However, my understanding of politics in America began with the Presidency of Ronald Reagan and the first surprise came with Bill Clinton–he lived in Russia with a family of KGB members. That told me a lot. Unfortunately; his presidency was not firmly investigated. You can read about my suspicions in the Epilogue, What is Happening to America?, Xlibris, 2012. In Clinton’s politics, I found a lot of methods that could have been qualified as a policy of Political Correctness with usage of the arsenal of the devices indicated above–the true components of it. Clinton was surrounded by other Democrats resembling the Soviet Mafia a great deal. That told me that the transformation of the Democrats had started before Clinton….I had to go back in history to find the first official usage of the term Political Correctness.

Meanwhile, being in the process of writing my second book The Russian Factor: From Cold War to Global Terrorism, Xlibris, 2006, I had attempted to present the concept of Political Correctness, I called it–Sovietization of America. My American friends asked me what it meant Sovietization. So the term remained in dark. It took me many months to find the first official usage of the term Political Correctness. I wasn’t successful in my search; internet did not give me the answer. The answer came quite unexpectedly. My favorite TV show is Jeopardy, I try not to miss any of them. Watching the show a couple of months ago, I got the answer. The participants couldn’t answer the question and the anchor gave the answer: the first time the words Political Correctness were published by the Soviet official newspaper Izvestia in 1933. I jumped as if cold water had awakened me–the answer came in such a simple way! The time was correctly identified by the Encyclopedia! The answer also confirmed my vision of Political Correctness. The year 1933 was a preparation to Show Trials and Purges, as you know, no one governmental newspaper could publish the words of a new policy without Stalin’s awareness or by his order.

Moreover, knowing Stalin’s connection to the Muslim culture, his long-term strategy had included Islam as a vehicle and physical doer in implementing Political Correctness. Please, remember the words of the KGB Chairman Yuri Andropov in1972 about a mechanism of training and turning the Muslims into the arms of Stalin’s strategy. The Soviets were very successful in using them in WWIII–today Jihad is an ideological movement around the world. I believe, I am right–Stalin is the author of Political Correctness and to prove his long-term strategy, let me give you the document confirming that. If you haven’t read my books, but know the history, here is the official Soviet document with my small preamble to it.

At the end the 1940, after the Germany’s defeat, Stalin gave an order to the KGB and the military to study the effects of drugs on human psyche. The effects of drugs were analyzed by scientists from the Soviet Academy of Sciences and the conclusions were that the drugs trafficking would be extremely effective and the most vulnerable countries would be the United States, Canada, France, and West Germany. This study was approved in 1955 by the Soviet Defense Council. It was the first formal Soviet decision to launch narcotics trafficking against the bourgeoisie and especially against the American capitalists. Here is the document:

“Soviet strategy for revolutionary war is a global strategy… narcotics strategy is a sub-component of this global strategy. …First was the increased training of leaders for the revolutionary movements—the civilian, military, and intelligence cadres. The founding of Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow is an example of one of the early actions taken to modernize the Soviet revolutionary leadership training. The second step was the actual training of terrorists. Training for international terrorism actually began as ‘fighters for liberation.’ …The third step was international drug and narcotics trafficking. Drugs were incorporated into the revolutionary war strategy as a political and intelligence weapon to use against the bourgeois society and as a mechanism for recruiting agents of influence around the world.” p.128 What is Happening to America?, by Simona Pipko, Xlibris, 2012.

There were the fourth and fifth steps in the strategy, you can read about both and see when an undeclared war began. Please pay attention to the words:” recruiting agents of influence.” Do you know how many of them have been recruited in the last 60 years? To answer the question, you should know who is practicing Political Correctness and all components of it. In this respect, it is important to remember what party was against the Soviet politics, and what party was soft on it. The Democrats were not only soft to the Soviets for a long time, moreover, they have employed the components of Political Correctness and used them against the Republicans very successfully for the last forty-fifty years. By their softness and incompetence they gave the opportunity to the Soviet Mafia to grow and spread the venom of ideology across the world, to Balkanize America and the globe. This is the reason we are witnessing dramatic changes in our culture and within the Democratic Party–the party of President Truman is dead…Do you know what ideology the Democrats are adhered today?

Unfortunately, the politicians and our Media are focused on ideology and the agenda of Saul Alinsky, who is only one example of an agent of influence on the surface. In fact, there are thousands of them, spreading and implementing the Stalinist concept. Look at our culture: what we used to define as the greatness of America now is under a siege–the heroes became criminals now, the criminals became heroes.

Remember the essence and devices of Political Correctness:

“[T]o propagate us in Stalinist ideology an arsenal of different devices has been used: lies, fraud, deceit, distortion, fabrication, perjury, and so on to substitute the promised result with the process.”

Just look at the Obama administration and you will find the exact formula of the Stalinist Political Correctness in the 21st century.

If you remember, I have already introduced you to the Obama/Putin joined venture named Destruction of the American Republic. Do you know that people from former Soviet Republics are joining ISIS? The field commanders of ISIS are Chechen or the former Saddam’s security operatives, both were trained by the Russian security forces. Did you notice a pattern of being late to many important issues of our days by Obama? ISIS, Syria, Iraq, Iran, IRS, Benghazi, Ukraine: You know the list of the so-called scandals in Washington. In fact, those events are the components of ideology working against the interests of America. And again as you can see; Putin is up, and America is down. Obama is not lazy, stupid or incompetent, as some suggested, on the contrary he is very successful in his joined venture implementing Political Correctness. Just watch!

The last event is Ebola, a threat known since March 2014. It is a real danger to America and the entire world–a mortality rate is 70%, according to World Health Organizations. The disease requires fast and decisive actions by the government. Instead you will see a continuation of Political Correctness: Ron Klain, a man from the Clinton political circle, a political operative, without any background in medicine has been appointed as the Ebola Czar in October, 2014. The task of the administration is to enforce loyalty to the Obama Democratic Party not the health of the Americans. A logical response to the predicament is a travel ban to America from West Africa countries, but it is still only on discussion, when the time is a matter of life and death. A highly qualified specialist-epidemiologists must be involved in the process. Even Nigeria stopped the epidemic of Ebola by enforcing quarantine–a travel ban.

For those who blame America for instability in the world, I would recommend to read my books and articles to learn about a real aggressor and a sponsor of global terrorism–Russia. Mr. Romney was right in 2012, naming Russia as our geopolitical foe No.1. Fortunately, NATO begins to grasp some truth about Russia, the truth, I have been writing about for the last twenty-five years. Please read Financial Times, Friday August 29, 2014: Russia’s new art of war.

“NATO has struggled to counter Moscow’s tactics in a conflict where traditional military force is only one part of the fight…” NATO is still underestimated the role of Political Correctness–that insidious evil of the world…

The midterm election in November is upcoming and I’d like to point out some politicians who are taking our country in the wrong direction and blaming everybody else for their mistakes. Look at Obama, Charlie Christ, Al Sharpton, the leader of the Democrats “poor Debby,” and many others. They are constantly changing their minds and definition of words. Incompetent and arrogant, they are frequently lying to survive politically. They are promising the successful results for six years; you know that they failed in all aspects of our lives; foreign policy, economy, education, national security, social tranquility, job creation, and so on. They are lying to us like good salesmen. Do you know what they are selling? Don’t you think that they replicate the Stalinist strategy and surrender to the New World Order and One World Government?

Political Correctness cannot be spread by air or wind–people do that. My heart bleeds for my America. To prevent a catastrophe, I want to punish evil and heal our land. That is the reason I am writing about the Party called Democratic. Dr.Martin King Jr. was a Republican and so Frederick Douglass, who said; ”It’s not about color: it’s about values. ”Yes, it’s about values and, in this respect, I’d like to give you very important information to think about…

Another Russian author Daniel Estulin had written a book titled: The True Story of the Bilderberg Group. On page 52 of this book, I learned that on June 9, 1991, two-and-a half months before announcing his candidacy for the U.S. Presidency, Bill Clinton flew to Moscow and had a meeting with the KGB Chairman. The Arkansas Democrat ran the story under the headline “Clinton Has Powerful Buddy in the U.S.S.R.—New Head of KGB. Do not be surprised as Clinton helps Obama in the upcoming election–they are adhered to the same ideology and have the same political agenda.

Political Correctness: Offended vs Inspired

Several decades ago, on a radio program in Chicago, I interviewed a man who described a growing phenomenon that would have a profound impact on American business. I didn’t believe this new trend would ever occur. He called it “political correctness.” I had never heard the term PC. As the years passed his predictions about changing conditions and business pressures have proven to be accurate.

As a result of PC, developing clear policies is essential for the effective operation of any business, and the specific wording requires care and caution in order to be “correct” and avoid unintended consequences. But recently that caution seems to have resulted in a trend wherein the opinions and beliefs of some people overpower those of others.

Sometimes that might be only one person, but without consistent policies, a single individual can negate what countless others have valued for many years.

The pressing question is. “What makes that person’s belief or position take precedence over those of others with differing perspectives?” Can we accept the notion that one point of view is more important and more powerful than an alternative point of view?

groucho-marx

For a larger view click on the image.

In the old television program, “You Bet Your Life,” Groucho Marx said, “Say the magic word, and a duck will come down and give you fifty dollars.” In today’s world the “magic word” seems to be “offended.”

It doesn’t produce a fifty-dollar bill, but it’s changing the names of holidays, removing decorations or symbols from work areas, censoring the names of mascots, and prohibiting wearing certain clothing or accessories in the workplace.

We’ve seen the workplace and classrooms become devoid of the touches and the symbols that define the people inhabiting them.

Not long ago it was possible to learn about a person just by entering his or her workspace – be it a small cubicle or a large private office. The pictures, plaques, trophies, and other items on display provided insight into family status, religious affiliation, and military service. Today those clues have largely disappeared because someone found them “offensive.” People working in the locations were expected to remove the items because of the sensitivities of others.

Many schools and businesses have come to the point where displaying certain personal items or wearing certain clothes or accessories are grounds for discipline.

We risk becoming homogenized rather than “diverse”– evolving into a one-size-fits-all society where a small group of individuals determines acceptable behavior for all. The grandson of an acquaintance of mine was removed from his classroom because he was wearing (proudly) the division patch his grandfather had worn in combat during World War II because a teacher’s-aide was offended by the military symbol.

By coincidence, on the same day his father was told to remove an American flag pin from his suit jacket prior to joining a meeting at his office because it might offend another participant.

How did displaying an American flag become offensive? As a side note, when I tried to purchase a few small American flags for an event, a clerk at the store told me, “We don’t stock those things any more.” Those things!

In businesses and schools, we now have Winter and Spring breaks. Professional athletic teams are being pressured to accept names that won’t offend anyone.

If such a trend continues, we might see the passing of occupational names like Vikings, Packers, and Cowboys before too long.

And if other rights activists enter the forum, we might evev see the end of the Bears, Broncos, Dolphins, Bengals, Jaguars, Cardinals, Panthers, and Lions to name just a few.

It’s probably safe to point out that almost everything and anything can offend somebody. So here’s something to consider when developing policies and monitoring behaviors.

When you hear anyone say, “I’m offended by _____” try this. Revise that sentence by saying, “I’m inspired by ______.”

You won’t be starting an argument; you’ll be stating an equally valid opinion.

Then reflect on the reaction you get, and ask yourself, “Did I just make a difference?”

Are We Witnessing America’s Death by Political Correctness?

Please read the below article by Colonel Lawrence Sellin, Ph.D. concerning the history of the progressive political correct propaganda programs first developed by the Communist Party and promoted by progressives in the U.S. since the early 1950s.  Over the past six years the progressive movement has been implemented by the Obama administration by integrating progressive and politically correct policy in all Government Bureaus with the help of 45 czars appointed by Obama who were never confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

The progressive and political correctness indoctrination has been force fed to the captive U.S. Armed Forces negatively affecting combat effectiveness, unit cohesiveness, and moral.  While this has been on going, the left of center liberal media establishment has been promulgating progressive political correctness in their reporting, in order to indoctrinate the American people.  At the same time, the Obama appointees at the Department of Education have promoted Obama’s progressiveness and political correctness in the new anti-American Common Core teaching curriculum for secondary and college educational courses, in keeping with the progressive indoctrination of unsuspecting students by leftists college professors that has been going on since the early 1960’s.

Unsuspecting students at all levels of education are being indoctrinated with this new progressive political correct Common Core agenda approved by the Obama administration which has eliminated civics courses, information about the Founding Fathers, study of the Bill of Rights, analysis on the US Constitution, positive history about how the US abolished slavery, the impressive history about how the US Armed Forces freed millions of people in foreign lands from oppressive dictators and returned the land to the people in those countries, how the free enterprise created the most effective economic engine in the history of mankind, and cover up the Socialism has never worked in any country where it has been tried.

Now progressives in the Obama administration appointed to the Center for Disease Control are doing nothing to keep American citizens safe from the Ebola epidemic, and are delaying the required precautionary steps necessary to prevent the spread of the Ebola infectious disease from spreading throughout the Republic, because it would not be politically correct.  Obama administration officials have been insinuating that it would be racist to restrict the entry of travelers with passports from countries in West Africa where the Ebola epidemics are rampant.  However, in order to protect their citizens from an Ebola epidemic, the intelligent leaders of African and European countries are restricting flights from West Africa from entering their countries.  The primary function of the leader of any country is to protect the lives of their citizens.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Officials are not properly screening arriving international passengers insuring where they have traveled, asking the passenger if they have a fever, screening passengers to see if they are sick, and are not thermo-scanning passenger’s temperatures.  Yet, US Immigration and Custom Officials are quarantining dogs and cats entering the US, and demanding to examine the medical records of those animals.  Even though the citizens of West African countries have been exposed to a serious Ebola epidemic—and despite repeated calls for restricting flights from West Africa to the United States as African and European countries have restricted those flights from arriving in their countries, the Obama administration refuses to restrict flights from West Africa from entering the US – after all it would be racist and politically incorrect.

rgb on political correctnessA postscript:

When the Obama administration asked Israel to send members of its Armed Forces to provide medical assistance to Ebola infected countries in West Africa, their Defense Minister, Moshe Ya’alon, said  “The hell I’ll expose my troops to Ebola.”  It kind of makes you feel warm inside to know that Obama is exposing 3,000 U.S. military personnel to Liberia where the infectious disease is rampant. No other member of the 192 United Nations is exposing their sons and daughters to that killer disease.

However, Obama won’t deploy one member of the U.S. Armed Forces to seal the wide open southern border, in order to prevent drug smugglers, human smugglers, Islamic terrorists, 200,000 illegal youth from central America, and Ebola infected illegal immigrants from entering the United States.

Dinesh D’Souza wrote:

“Obama is the architect of American decline, and progressivism is the ideology of American suicide. Decline is a choice, but so is liberty. Let us resolve as Americans to make liberty our choice.”

National suicide by political correctness

by LAWRENCE SELLIN, PH.D. October 1, 2014

Barack Obama said “ISIL is not Islamic. No religion condones the killing if innocents.”

That definition includes: al- Qa’ida, Abu Sayyaf, Gama’a al-Islamiyya, Hamas, Hizballah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e Tayyiba, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, Asbat al-Ansar, al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb, Jemaah Islamiya, Ansar al-Islam, Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, al-Shabaab, al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula, Boko Haram, al-Nusrah Front, Ansar al-Shari’a in Benghazi, Ansar al-Shari’a in Darnah, Ansar al-Shari’a in Tunisia – Well, you get the idea.

As noted recently by Diana West, Americans continue to be perplexed as to how the Obama Administration and the media keep repeating the politically correct propaganda that Islam has nothing to do with jihad. Such widespread, politics- and mass-media-driven brainwashing is not new.

Just as today’s politicians, journalists and academics seek to separate Islam from its radical impact; brutal conquest, forced conversion, sex slavery and beheadings. Past opinion-makers worked equally hard to separate communism from its own brand inhuman impact; brutal conquest, forced collectivization, concentration camps and mass murder.

Few Americans realize that political correctness, a policy implicitly promoted by Democrats and established as the de facto totalitarian legal system on American universities, was designed by communists in the 1930s to undermine western civilization and democracy while disguising the nature of the threat.

After the successful 1917 communist revolution in Russia, it was widely believed that a proletarian revolt would sweep across Europe and, ultimately, North America. It did not. The only two attempts at a workers’ government in Munich and Budapest lasted only months.

As a result the Communist International began to investigate other ways to create the state of societal hopelessness and alienation necessary as a prerequisite for socialist revolution.

The single, most important organizational component of this conspiracy was a Communist think tank called the Institute for Social Research, popularly known as the Frankfurt School. The task of the Frankfurt School was first, to undermine the Judeo-Christian foundation of Western civilization that emphasized the uniqueness and sacredness of the individual and, second, to determine new cultural forms which would increase the disaffection of the population.

Political Correctness is cultural Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. Just as in classical economic Marxism, certain groups, i.e. workers and peasants, are a priori good, and other groups, i.e., the bourgeoisie and capital owners, are evil. In the cultural Marxism of Political Correctness certain groups are good, such as feminist women, blacks, ethnic minorities and those who define themselves according to sexual orientation. These groups are deemed to be “victims,” and therefore unquestionably good. Similarly, white males and, by extension Western civilization, are determined to be automatically evil, thereby becoming the equivalent of the bourgeoisie in economic Marxism.

Perhaps the most important, if least-known, of the Frankfurt School’s successes was the shaping of the electronic media of radio and television into the powerful instruments of social control which they represent today.

With the collapse of the Soviet Union, American universities now represent the largest concentration of Marxist dogma and political correctness in the world. This is not the academy of a republic, but Hitler’s Gestapo and Stalin’s NKVD rooting out deviationists in the guise of racial, ethnic, gender and cultural sensitivity.

The policies of the Obama Administration reflect what David Horowitz described as an unholy alliance between leftists and radical Islam. They have been brought together by the traits they share – their hatred of Western civilization and their belief that the United States is the embodiment of evil on earth. While Islamic radicals seek to purge the world of heresies and of the infidels who practice them, leftist radicals seek to purge society’s collective “soul” of the vices allegedly spawned by capitalism — those being racism, sexism, imperialism, and greed.

Given the existential threat posed by such ideologies, political correctness can no longer be considered merely a peculiarity of cowardly politicians, a biased media or tenured radicals, but a dangerous subversive element of an anti-American and anti-Western strategy.

But frankly, Mr. Obama, I don’t care if ISIL is “Islamic” or not. Wanting us all dead is a sufficient reason to take the war directly and aggressively to them.

Obama’s List of Most Disrespectful Insults to the Military

Confronting PC: Some Will Financially and Politically Die

gods not dead movie posterI caught a bit of an interview with conservative actor Kevin Sorbo promoting his movie, “God’s Not Dead” on the Sean Hannity radio show. Sorbo lamented that political correctness operatives continue to bully Americans with little push back. He cited a recent incident in which a little girl was kicked out of school for saying “God bless you” when a classmate sneezed, punished for religious talk in school.

My wife Mary told me about a U.S. soldier who was told by a school never to walk his child to school in uniform again. I am sure all of you could share horror stories of political correctness operatives overruling common sense and bullying people into submission.

Admittedly, I continuously rant about this topic. Folks, while I have evolved into somewhat of a sophisticated responsible adult, my roots are in the hood, the projects of east Baltimore. Living in that extremely tough environment, I knew if you did not deal with (confront) bullies, you would forever be their chump. As a 9 or 10 year old, I detested watching bullies push people around. I still detest seeing snooty intellectual liberal wimps with their big microphones and big stages get away with terrorizing people into submission.

When we were kids, though he was a little wild and crazy, my cousin Jimmy taught me the value of a strong military and how to deal with bullies. Two kids were taking my lunch money. Jimmy got in their grills and threatened to kick their butts. That was the end of that nonsense.

Six foot something high school varsity football star Broadus ordered me out of my seat beside pretty Barbara Jean on the school bus. Had he asked, I would have given him my seat. Even as a four foot something tall seventh grader, I instinctively knew I would lose something inside if I allowed Broadus to order me around. I told him no, I was not moving.

Once off the bus, Broadus began pounding my head into the gravel road. My mom saw the attack from a block away. She began running, but said it felt like she was running in place, unable to get to us fast enough. Incredibly, Broadus and I later became friends.

So yes, I have this “thing” about bullies.

Liberals, Democrats and the complicit MSM have hijacked the word “bully” to exclusively refer to anyone who dares to push back against their aggressive attempts to force their socialist/progressive agenda down our throats. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black, Leftists call us bullies when we reject allowing them to bully us. Very clever, insidious and evil.

I worked at a major ABC affiliate TV station in Baltimore for 15 years. Thus, I have witnessed from the inside the MSM arrogant superior mindset which dominated the TV station and their intention to force their agenda on the public. The general consensus at the TV station was that the public was a bunch of yahoos and we were the sophisticated smart guys.

The TV station launched a campaign titled, “Family First”. On the cover of the brochure, I used a silhouette of a traditional family holding hands; father, mother, a girl and a boy. Public Relations axed my cover design claiming it was insensitive and offensive because families come in all configurations, two men, two women and so on. There was no agenda behind me selecting the image other than it worked for the theme of the campaign. I seriously doubted that the image of a traditional family on the cover of the station’s brochure would have sparked mass outrage from the public.

And yet, the PR representative acted as though I was attempting to push my Christian values on the public. She used her authority to bully me into changing the cover design. I later learned that she was a lesbian.

Folks, I realize that I sound like a broken record continuing to write about the Left bullying us into submission. It just sticks in my craw. Allowing them to get away with it is an anathema to my spirit; like allowing Broadus to order me out of my seat. We must push back. We must say no.

In the Clint Eastwood movie, “Pale Rider”, the locals were terrorized by bullies. They asked a mysterious stranger portrayed by Eastwood to lead them into battle against the bad guys. Eastwood consented, but also informed the locals that some of them were going to die tomorrow.

Make no mistake about it folks, confronting evil, pushing back against political correctness operatives is serious business. Our Nemesis are extremely vicious and relentless. They take no prisoners. Just as Eastwood warned the locals, I warn you. In the battle to take back our freedom, some will sacrifice themselves for freedom. They will financially and politically die.

Brave U.S. troops who have made the ultimate sacrifice have shown us that freedom “ain’t” free. Are the fruits of freedom, self-respect and dignity, worth it? Absolutely.

Political Correctness is a horrible destructive cancer eating away at the core of our American culture. The miracle cure is courage.

Rep. Rooney (FL-16) Goes After Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

Two Members of the House Armed Services Committee, Congressmen Tom Rooney (R-FL) and Duncan Hunter Jr. (R-CA), sent a letter to General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff questioning why Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Matthew Dooley was given a negative Officer Evaluation Report (OER) on the grounds his instruction of a course on Radical Islam was offensive to Muslims and Islam.

Their letter dated October 10, 2012 states in part:

“It appears that LTC Dooley led this course well within the scope of NDU’s professorial guidelines, as NDU’s own Faculty Handbook states: “Academic Freedom at National Defense University is defined as freedom to pursue and express ideas, opinions, and issues germane to the University’s stated mission, free of limitations, restraints, or coercion by the University or external environment.”

It is our understanding that LTC Dooley did not violate any established University practices, policies or DoD regulations to merit a negative OER.”

The Congressmen’s letter concerns actions taken by General Dempsey earlier in the year when he publicly excoriated Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Dooley at a May 10, 2012 news conference claiming the course LTC Dooley was teaching at the Joint Forces Staff College (JFSC) was offensive to Muslims. General Dempsey caused LTC Dooley to be fired as an instructor, ordered his course, Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism, to be discontinued and that all material considered offensive to Islam be scrubbed from military professional education within JFSC and elsewhere within his command. General Dempsey further ordered that LTC Dooley be given a negative Officer Evaluation Report—the death knell for a military career.

Click here to read entire letter.

Rep. Rooney was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008. Prior to that time, he served four years in the United States Army Staff Judge Advocate (SJA). During his years in SJA he served as Special Assistant to the U.S. Attorney at Fort Hood, TX prosecuting all civilian crimes on post. In 2002, Tom was selected to teach Constitutional and Criminal Law at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Prior to his election as a congressman from California, Duncan Hunter Jr. served as an officer in the Marine Corps. He served three combat tours overseas: two in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.

The Congressmen’s letter asks “[W]hy the DoD was compelled to further discipline LTC Dooley by jeopardizing his reputation and his future in the service.”

LTC Matt Dooley

LTC Matt Dooley attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he graduated and received his commission as a Second Lieutenant, Armor Branch in May 1994. His assignments included deployment to Bosnia, Kuwait, and Iraq for a total of six operational and combat tours over the course of his career. He served as a Tank Platoon Leader, Tank Company Commander, Headquarters Company Commander, Aide-de-Camp (to three General Officers), and Instructor at the Joint Combined Warfare School. He is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College as well as the Joint Forces Staff College.

The Thomas More Law Center, a national nonprofit public interest law firm, based in Ann, Arbor, Michigan, represents LTC Dooley.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Law Center observed, “The purpose of the Army is to fight and win wars. So what happened to LTC Dooley is more than a personal miscarriage of justice. When instructors are prohibited from teaching military officers about the true threat posed by Islamic Radicalism, it is a threat to our national security. Our warfighting potential is thus being crippled by the political correctness and appeasement of radical Muslims currently in vogue at the upper echelons of the Pentagon.”

A review of LTC Dooley’s OERs going back several years, including his OER as an instructor with JFSC, paint a picture of an outstanding officer with unlimited potential:

“LTC Matt Dooley’s performance is outstanding and he is clearly the best of our new instructors assigned to the JFSC faculty over the last six months. . . . A must select for battalion command. . . . LTC Dooley possesses unlimited potential to serve in positions of much higher authority.”

“MAJ Dooley is unquestionably among the most dedicated and hard working officers I have ever known.… Unsurpassed potential for future promotion and service.”

“Our soldiers deserve his leadership.”

“This officer possesses unlimited potential for future assignments. He must be promoted ahead of his peers and selected for Battalion/Squadron Command at first opportunity.”

“Superb performance.”

“Matt is a consummate professional with unlimited potential;”

LTC Dooley’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with Star, Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal with Two Stars, both the Global War on Terrorism Service and Expeditionary Medals, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the NATO Medal, the Parachutist Badge, the Air-Assault Badge, and two Army Superior Unit Awards.
