PODCAST: Either you own the property or you are the property!

I don’t know how many of you had the opportunity to listen to President Trump’s speech in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I think it was one of the best ones he’s ever given. It was amazing.

The main point of the speech can be summarized as follows: America is open for business, not looking for War, not looking to spread Democracy, not looking to get involved with Arab culture — your culture is your own. America is open for business and looking for trade. Trade is what will make us all strong. Once we are involved economically, the chances of war become minimal.

I was also amazed to see the number of American flags, the pageantry, and the tribute to America that these Middle Eastern partners displayed. Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince greeted President Trump personally on a royal purple carpet, flanked by a guard of honor, reserved only for most-favored guests. President Trump was escorted by a 6-fighter F-15 honorary jet escort by the Royal Saudi Air Force. Qatar escorted Air Force One with eight fighter jets. The UAE awarded Donald Trump its highest civilian award available.

Playing the National Anthem was the icing on the cake. Then I thought, how sad it is that our schools don’t even bother displaying the American flag, let alone play the National Anthem. How Ironic. In our own country, patriotism is frowned on.

America has become the land of give me, give me, give me. And by the way, if you have it and I want it, I will steal and take what I want without any consequences. Bad behavior is rewarded. It seems as though there is never enough money or power for the elite. The only way they can keep it and get more is to lie, cheat, and steal. We have become the land of liars.

They have lied about Biden’s health, and we knew it. Yet our impotent, incompetent RINO leaders refused to do anything about it, and allowed Leftist insane Marxist ideology of open borders, mega spending, loss of free speech, and government-controlled healthcare to rule. How can we allow any Biden policy to stand? Easy, do nothing, and the RINOs will continue to fund his programs, like the Green New Deal, to subsidize China.

We let them use programs like sustainable developments, aka 15-minute cities, aka smart cities, to herd us into walkable, not drivable, low-emission neighborhoods, aka prisons, ghettos, or concentration camps.

EAT, LIVE, AND SHOP WHERE YOU LIVE  AND CAN WALK TO. HAIRDRESSER, GROCERY, DOCTOR – NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO GO BUT WHERE YOU MUST GO. With constant surveillance every step you take, every breath you make, every move you make, they will be watching you.

These evil people must strip you of everything you own, especially your home.

My favorite movie was Gone With the Wind. My favorite line: “The land is the only thing in the world worth working for, worth fighting for, worth dying for, because it’s the only thing that lasts”…..Gerald O’Hara, Gone With The Wind.”

Land is an asset that can be leveraged to accumulate wealth. We are considered subservient and cannot have wealth.

“We will have nothing and be happy.”

Never forget 2008. Billions of our tax dollars were given to the banks, who, along with George W Bush, created the mortgage meltdown. The RINOs forced us into foreclosure by shipping our jobs overseas. Instead of giving each American the money to pay rent or mortgages, they gave our money to the rich bankers who foreclosed on us. Then they called us deadbeats. Today, they are making the taxes so high that people are being forced off their land. Nothing changes unless we change it ourselves!

The contrast of the reception in the Middle East, versus the Left in America, is so staggering! It really shows the disdain and contempt that the Left and RINOs have for the American people.

You need to sit up and pay attention! THIS IS DEEP!

The common enemy of humanity is man. In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.” – Club of Rome, premier environmental think-tank, consultants to the United Nations.

This is what they think of us, and teach our children!

Their ultimate goal is depopulation. Still having a hard time wrapping your head around the real issue?

ELITES WANT AMERICA DESTROYED, AND THEY WANT US ALL…DEAD.

If you are not an elite, you are a useless eater. You are using up, and hogging up, resources that elites feel they only, are entitled to. You need to go die.

  • The United Nations lied to Congress, saying that  Agenda 21 didn’t exist. Today, it is called Agenda 2030.
  • Everything is connected
  • Nothing is random
  • Everything happens for a reason
  • Everything is a LIE

So, what do we do about this mess we are in?

  1. Support President Trump
  2. VOTE in the PRIMARIES and toss the RINOS out
  3. Contact your legislators and tell them WE WANT DOGE CUTS
  4. Don’t listen to the Lies!

Attorney General Eliminates Far-Left American Bar Association’s Role in Vetting Judicial Nominees

It won’t affect the rogue, radical judges running amok but going forward it will impact future nominees.

Attorney General Eliminates American Bar Association’s Role in Vetting Judicial Nominees

The association ‘no longer functions as a fair arbiter of nominees’ qualifications,” Pam Bondi said.

By Zachary Stieber, The Epoch Times, May 31, 2025:

Attorney General Pam Bondi has ended the role of the American Bar Association (ABA) in vetting people nominated by the president to serve as judges.
Bondi said in a May 29 missive to ABA President William R. Bay that the association “no longer functions as a fair arbiter of nominees’ qualifications and its ratings invariably and demonstrably favor nominees put forth by Democratic administrations.”

She said that the association has refused to fix the bias in its rating process and that the Department of Justice will stop directing nominees to provide waivers that let the ABA access non-public information on the nominees, including bar records.
Story continues below advertisement

Nominees will also neither respond to ABA surveys nor sit for interviews with the association, Bondi said.
“The American Bar Association has lost its way, and we do not believe it serves as a fair arbiter of judicial nominees,” Bondi wrote on social media platform X.

She said the Department of Justice “will no longer give the ABA the access they’ve taken for granted.”

The ABA did not respond to a request for comment and has not appeared to respond publicly to the development.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, told The Epoch Times via email that the development was not surprising.

“Since the George W. Bush administration, the ABA has increasingly failed to give all judicial nominees a fair shake, particularly those nominated by Republican administrations. They have also consistently taken partisan stances on political issues and chosen to act like a progressive advocacy organization,” he said. “The Judiciary Committee will still accept letters from the ABA, the same as we do for all outside organizations, but it doesn’t make sense for this administration to be giving favored access to an organization that’s consistently shown political bias.”

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the top Democrat on the panel, criticized the move.

“This decision overturns a practice that has been in place for nearly 70 years under Republican and Democratic Administrations alike in order to provide cover for unqualified and extreme nominees who would crumble under a nonpartisan review by their peers,” Durbin told The Epoch Times in an emailed statement.

The ABA is an association of lawyers and judges. It says it has more than 400,000 members. An ABA committee began conducting independent evaluations of the qualifications of judicial nominees in 1953.

Analysis: Biden Unaware of Executive Orders ‘Signed’ by Autopen

President Joe Biden issued 162 executive orders over the course of his Oval Office tenure, but according to a new report, most of them were signed by “autopen,” giving rise to concerns that unelected White House staffers may have had more say in shaping policy than the president. The report is furthering those concerns and suggesting that Biden may not have even been aware of the existence of the orders being signed in his name.

The American energy advocacy group Power the Future published the report Wednesday, examining eight Biden-era executive orders on climate change and U.S. energy policy, and found “no evidence” that Biden ever spoke about or acknowledged the existence of any of these orders. “Not in a press conference. Not in a speech. Not even a video statement,” Power the Future’s report stated. Power the Future Executive Director Daniel Turner said in a statement, “Americans deserve to know which unelected staffers or radical unnamed activists implemented sweeping change through an autopen. The Biden energy agenda destroyed the livelihoods of energy workers and fueled the record-high inflation that broke the budgets of millions of Americans.” He asked, “The question is simple, and deserves an immediate answer: what did Joe Biden know, and when did he know it?”

According to the Oversight Project, dedicated to government accountability, practically every order signed by Biden was signed via autopen, with the exception of his announcement withdrawing from the 2024 presidential election. The Oversight Project cited House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who questioned Biden on an executive order affecting liquefied natural gas (LNG) and reported that the president didn’t remember signing the order. “He looks at me, stunned, and he said, ‘I didn’t do that,’” Johnson recounted. He continued, “And I said to him, ‘Mr. President, yes you did, it was an executive order, like, you know, three weeks ago.’ And he goes, ‘No, I didn’t do that.’ … It occurred to me … he was not lying to me. He genuinely did not know what he had signed.”

“For investigators to determine whether then-President Biden actually ordered the signature of relevant legal documents, or if he even had the mental capacity to, they must first determine who controlled the autopen and what checks there were in place,” the Oversight Project wrote in a social media post. The accountability organization continued, “Given President Biden’s decision to revoke Executive Privilege for individuals advising Trump during his first Presidency, this is a knowable fact that can be determined with the correct legal process…”

The “autopen” has been the subject of significant controversy in recent years due to Biden’s excessive use of the technology. Devices have been around for centuries, allowing individuals to replicate their signature or sign multiple documents at once. Thomas Jefferson, for example, kept an early prototype, then called a “polygraph,” in the White House and another in his residence at Monticello. The device allowed a user to sign multiple documents at once but did require the signer to be present and to actively use the machine.

In the late 1930s, an automated version of the machine was developed, called the “autopen,” which would store a template of a signature that could be reproduced without the presence of the actual signer. The autopen became commercially available in the early 1940s and was quickly purchased by politicians, government officials, celebrities, and others. The first U.S. president to use an autopen was reportedly Harry Truman, although he only used the device to sign checks and answer mail. Likewise, most other presidents — such as John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, or Gerald Ford — who used an autopen relegated their use of the instrument to signing checks, correspondence, and autographs.

George W. Bush considered using the autopen to sign executive orders and legislation and even got the Department of Justice’s (DOJ’s) approval to do so, but still insisted on signing such documents himself, flying to Washington, D.C. to sign emergency legislation in 2005, for example. Barack Obama was the first president to use the autopen to sign legislation, giving his approval to sign Patriot Act extensions via autopen while he was visiting France in 2011, the National Defense Authorization Act while vacationing in Hawaii in 2012, and fiscal legislation in 2013.

President Donald Trump has openly refused to use autopen signatures for executive orders and other legal documents. “We may use it, as an example, to send some young person a letter because it’s nice,” Trump told reporters in March. Contrasting his limited use of the autopen against Biden’s much broader use, Trump added, “But to sign pardons and all of the things that he signed with an autopen is disgraceful.” Trump has also suggested that pardons — and, potentially, executive orders — signed by the Biden administration via autopen may be legally “void” if the president didn’t know what he was signing or didn’t authorize its signature.

The Washington Stand asked the DOJ about potential investigations and, if applicable, prosecutions of the Biden administration’s autopen use and was told, “No comment here.”

Republicans Brace for the Next Wave of Big Beautiful Debates

When Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) hauled the “one, big, beautiful bill” over its first mountain — House passage — he had one request. To the GOP senators, he said, “I encourage them to modify the package that we’re sending over there as little as possible.” Thinking back over the warring factions in his chamber, he added, “Because we have to maintain that balance, and it’s a very delicate thing.” But in the days since last Thursday, it’s not clear if any Republicans, including the one in the White House, are listening.

Watching the House from a safe distance through its long nights, tense meetings, mark-ups, and ferocious jockeying for different priorities, senators sent a steady drip of commentary to the press about what they would change and language they thought could go farther. Now that the bill sits squarely in their laps, some have signaled at choppy waters ahead. While almost everyone is complimentary of the job the speaker has done, they also recognize that this is their chance to put a different mark on Donald Trump’s signature legislation.

“I want to get a deal done,” Florida Senator Rick Scott (R) insisted. “I support the president’s agenda. I support the border, I support the military, I support extending the Trump tax cuts … But [we’ve] got to live in reality here: [We’ve] got a fiscal crisis.”

Others, like Kentucky’s Rand Paul (R), have been more critical. For weeks, he’s tried to rally the troops to cut more spending. “… [T]he math doesn’t add up,” the chamber’s outspoken fiscal hawk warned. “They’re going to explode the debt by — the House says $4 trillion, the Senate’s actually been talking about exploding the debt $5 trillion.” Surely, he persisted, “there’s got to be someone left in Washington who thinks debt is wrong and deficits are wrong and wants to go in the other direction,” he said.

Johnson took the disapproval in stride. “I agree wholeheartedly with what my dear friend, Rand Paul, said. I love his conviction, and I share it,” he told Fox News’s Shannon Bream. “The national debt is … the greatest threat to our national security, and deficits are a serious problem,” the speaker said. “What I think Rand is missing on this one is the fact that we are quite serious about this,” the Louisianan emphasized. “This is the biggest spending cut in more than 30 years.”

The fault-finding isn’t a surprise. The speaker endured plenty of it from his own House circles, including perpetual nitpicker Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) who called the House package “a debt bomb ticking” before voting against it. Even the Senate’s Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) argued that the “number one goal of this reconciliation ought to be to reduce that 10-year and those annual deficits, not increase them.”

Sitting down with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins for “This Week on Capitol Hill,” the speaker was asked about the party’s concerns. Republicans say it “doesn’t go far enough,” Perkins prodded before asking for Johnson’s response.

A beat passed, and the speaker replied, “It took us many decades to get the country into the financial mess we’re in. We cannot flip a switch and fix it overnight, but,” he paused, “we have a responsibility to get us to begin to steer out of the debt crisis. This bill is truly historic in its scope and what it does for the first time in history.” Johnson continued, “This legislation is written so that we save $1.9 trillion with a ‘T’ in taxpayer funds. There’s never been anything like that. It’s twice as much as the last time Congress even attempted such a thing, which is more than 30 years ago. So truly historic in turning the aircraft carrier and beginning us on a new trajectory,” the speaker said, referring to his oft-invoked metaphor.

To those like Paul who complain that the debt ceiling hike only enables more spending, Johnson is emphatic. “We’re going to extend the debt limit — not because we’re going to spend more money, but because you have to do that to show the bond markets and the rest of the world that America is good on its debts. That must be done. Everybody knows that.” He invoked the White House. “President Trump is insistent about it. He says we’re not raising a ceiling to spend it. We’re extending the deadline so that we can get our fiscal house in order. This is a really important thing.”

And while the president has been enthusiastic about the House’s package, he created plenty of heartburn Sunday evening when he seemed to imply that the upper chamber should have its way with the legislation. “I want the Senate and the senators to make the changes they want,” Trump told reporters over the weekend. “It will go back to the House, and we’ll see if we can get them. In some cases, the changes may be something I’d agree with, to be honest.” Hinting at conversations he’s probably had with Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.), the president acknowledged there would be changes. “Some will be minor, some will be fairly significant.”

Reminded that the goal is to get the bill to his desk by July 4, Trump nodded. “I think it’s going to get there,” adding that Johnson and Thune “have done a fantastic job.”

While the two sides gather their energy for the reconciliation fight’s next round, the speaker has spent his time hammering away at the disinformation Democrats keep spewing about the bill’s supposed fallout. Repeating what he’s said a hundred times in a hundred different ways, Johnson reiterated, “We are not cutting Medicaid in this package. There’s a lot of [dishonesty] out there about this.” Pointing to one of the most outrageous examples of fraud, waste, and abuse, he quantified a problem that many suspected but didn’t have hard numbers on.

“[We’ve] got more than 1.4 million illegal aliens on Medicaid,” the speaker warned. “Medicaid is not intended for non-U.S. citizens. It’s intended for the most vulnerable populations of Americans, which is pregnant women and young single mothers, the disabled, the elderly. They are protected in what we’re doing, because we’re preserving the resources for those who need it most.” Then he put the spotlight on the other problem, the legal, work-capable citizens who were added to the rolls under Joe Biden. “You’re talking about 4.8 million able-bodied workers, young men, for example, who are on Medicaid and not working. They are choosing not to work when they can. That is called fraud. They are cheating the system. When you root out those kinds of abuses,” he stressed, “you save the resources that are so desperately needed by the people who deserve it and need it most. That’s what we’re doing.”

And it’s not just the Medicaid soundbites they’ll have to confront but the headlines about the proposal’s “score,” as in how much the government’s financial experts at the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) believe it will add to the deficit. But, as the Louisiana leader cautioned, there’s almost always more to that than meets the eye. “The last time they scored a big bill like this was the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in the first Trump administration,” he explained to Perkins. “They were $1 trillion off in their calculations.”

To put the process into perspective, he noted that “the CBO is run by Democrats,” adding that “84% of the employees there who are crunching the numbers are donors to big Democrats like [Massachusetts Senator] Elizabeth Warren and [Senator] Bernie Sanders. So we dismiss that,” the speaker said. “What they do not count for is the pro-growth policies in this bill that [are] going to grow the U.S. economy. And that is how, in combination with savings, we’re going to get ourselves out of this mess.”

Still, Johnson underscored, as he has so many times, “We value everybody’s opinion. … You know, my background is in constitutional law. I’m a student of what the Founders originally intended for how the process was supposed to work. The United States Congress is the greatest deliberative body in the history of the world. It works so well, but only if it’s done as designed.” He thought back on his predecessors and other leaders who drafted major legislation “in a back room, by quite literally a handful of people. I didn’t want to do that, because I think we’ve got to get back to what was intended.” Everyone should have a voice, he insisted. Does that take longer? Absolutely. Is it more painful? His chamber just proved it was. “But it’s always worth it in the end … and it makes a better product.”

What will happen to the 1,100 pages he poured over for months? The speaker doesn’t know. But there’s one tool he’d suggest for everyone facing these big obstacles: “prayer.” “It’s not been in vogue in Washington for quite some time,” Johnson reflected, “and I’m just bringing it back. It seems like some huge innovation, but that’s exactly how our nation began. And I think we do well to remember it.”

EXCLUSIVE: Social Security Fraud Just Tip Of The Iceberg, Trump’s New Commissioner Says

Social Security Administration (SSA) Commissioner Frank Bisignano said Social Security numbers are vulnerable to exploitation and fraud across multiple government agencies, from the DMV to Medicare.

The former Wall Street executive, confirmed earlier this month after the agency cycled through five leadership changes in five months, said the problem extends far beyond Social Security benefit fraud to encompass the entire federal system where the numbers are used for identification.

“Fraud can happen in many ways. It doesn’t just have to be through Social Security,” Bisignano said in an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation. “It could be on the many ways people use a Social Security number to get access …  the Social Security number needs to be a lockdown number.”

Bisignano also warned that because social security numbers are used by multiple federal agencies, fraud risks can balloon beyond the social security system. He said he would be trying to find coordinated solutions to head off fraud.

“The job is about building the largest level of integrity, the highest accuracy rate,” he said.

The commissioner said he is implementing artificial intelligence systems and operational overhauls to address these vulnerabilities across the agency’s 500 million annual interactions with Americans. He said current systems fall short of acceptable security standards.

The agency currently operates with a 1% error rate, he said, but Bisignano aims for “five nines” accuracy — 99.999% — comparable to private sector standards.

“If you’re running at something below that, it will give way to mediocrity at best, and will give way to failure and opportunity for bad things to happen,” he said.

Bisignano has been visiting field offices nationwide to assess operations firsthand, including recent trips to New Jersey locations. He emphasized the importance of understanding ground-level operations before implementing changes.

“I always believed that I need to go see the word to understand the work,” he said. “My job is to help them do their job better and bring the tools.”

In addition, Bisignano rejected Democratic criticism that the Trump administration seeks to cut Social Security benefits, citing his personal background as the son of a World War II veteran and federal agent.

“The idea that I’d be doing anything other than trying to bolster it up is just crazy,” he said.

The commissioner also announced the agency expects to complete Fairness Act payments by the end of June, delivering benefits to 3.2 million Americans ahead of the initially projected timeline of one year.

“This organization will learn how to execute with excellence,” Bisignano told the DCNF.

EXCLUSIVE: FCC Commissioner Wants Regulatory ‘Cows’ Lined Up ‘For The Slaughterhouse’

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Commissioner Nathan Simington outlined the regulatory “cows” his agency is “lining up for the slaughterhouse” as part of its “Delete, Delete, Delete” initiative, in an interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The Trump-era deregulatory push, spearheaded by the commissioner and FCC Chair Brendan Carr, targets what Simington described as outdated broadcast media regulations — rules from the Truman administration that no longer reflect the media landscape in 2025.

“Let’s talk about profane cows, because these are the ones that we’re lining up for the slaughterhouse,” Simington told the DCNF. “I think one of the prime areas of interest for ‘Delete, Delete, Delete’ should be our broadcast media regulations. These broadcast media regulations, in many cases, come — you were talking about the Truman administration — some of them are just that old. Others are from the 1970s. They’re from an era when broadcast media was the only form of telecom media that most people had access to. Obviously, that has changed radically.”

WATCH:

The “Delete, Delete, Delete” initiative, launched in March, invites the public to flag FCC rules they believe should be scrapped. The aim, according to Simington, is to modernize the Commission’s rulebook by gutting what he called “path dependen[t]” relics from a pre-streaming era.

“In 2023, streaming subscriptions surpassed cable subscriptions in the United States, and broadcasters are not in the same kind of economic and cultural positions that they once were,” he said. “So, the idea that [broadcasters] should still be as intensely regulated as they were during that era — even if you are a believer in media regulation, which I’m not, particularly — but even if you were, the argument isn’t there anymore. There really is no argument other than path dependence and historical practice.”

The FCC is considering cuts to longstanding media ownership caps, operational restrictions and decades-old filing requirements — unless they’re explicitly mandated by Congress or the White House. Simington said that unless the president “wants it to stay,” it should be up for deletion.

“I think we should take a hard look at every media ownership rule, at every operational restriction,” the commissioner said. “And unless it’s something that’s been directly mandated by Congress, or where we have clear direction from the West Wing, that the president wants it to stay, we should consider deleting, deleting, deleting it.”

YOUR TRUST IS BEING WEAPONIZED: The New Wave of Scams Preying on the Elderly, the Innocent, and the Faithful

When Ryan Last took his own life, it broke something inside me.

Ryan was a 17-year-old straight-A student. A kind soul. Preparing for college. A young man full of promise. But all it took was a single online scam to unravel his world. Someone pretending to be a girl convinced him to send a private photo. Then came the blackmail: Pay up, or we show everyone.

He panicked. He paid what he could from his college fund.

But they wanted more.

Humiliated. Terrified. Alone.

Ryan took his life and left behind a note apologizing for “not being smarter.”

No teenager should feel that kind of shame. And no parent should ever have to bury their child because of a scam.

But this nightmare isn’t a one-off. It’s a rising national epidemic.

This hit close to home for us. Our granddaughter’s boyfriend, a Liberty University student, fell for the same scam. Praise God, he didn’t take his own life—but the emotional toll was real and lasting.

Every day, more and more scams flood this nation, including dozens of Social Security scams, check scams, billing scams, and too many more to mention here!

And it’s hitting those we love the most: our children… and our elderly.

🎯 The New Targets of Evil: Christians, Grandparents, Children and the Kindhearted

Scammers are no longer just sleazy roofers or shady mechanics. Those old-school con games have evolved into something far more dangerous—and far more evil.

Now, scammers use artificial intelligence to clone the voice of your grandchild begging for help.

They impersonate your pastor.

They pose as federal agents, Social Security reps, or even your bank.

They come in emails, pop-ups, text messages, and robocalls.

They don’t just want your money.

They want to weaponize your trust.

They want to exploit your compassion—especially if you’re a Bible-believing Christian.

Why? Because they know our hearts.

We’re generous. We believe the best in people.

We love. We give. We help.

They see that as weakness. But it’s not weakness—it’s righteousness. And it’s time we defend it.

🧭 What We’re Doing About It — And How You Can Help

At Christian Action Network, we’re launching a national initiative to demand the creation of a Federal Anti-Scam Bureau — a dedicated agency focused solely on ending this epidemic of deception.

This campaign includes:

✅ A national Stop Lethal Scam Attacks NOW! survey

✅ A call for mandatory sentencing for repeat scammers

✅ A free educational tool: our Top 15 Targeting Scams, full-color flyer

✅ A push for state governors to issue regular scam alerts to all households

We’re not asking the FBI to stop doing its job. In fact, even FBI Director Kash Patel recently said:

“We want to work at the FBI because we want to fight violent crime and be sent out into the country to do it.”

Exactly. Let FBI agents track down murderers and terrorists—not spend their days chasing phone, email, and text scammers. We need a dedicated team focused on fraud—and we need it now.

📬 How You Can Take a Stand

You can help fight back today by:

Why America Needs a Federal Anti-Scam Bureau

FBI agents, trained to handle violent criminals, are increasingly burdened by investigating widespread scams that drain their resources and focus.

This diversion leaves violent crimes less thoroughly addressed and scam victims inadequately protected.

A dedicated Federal Anti-Scam Bureau would change that.

With specialized agents solely focused on stopping scams, educating the public, and swiftly bringing scammers to justice, we could significantly reduce scam-related losses and tragedies.

Protecting our families, seniors, and communities from ruthless predators demands specialized attention.

Without immediate and focused intervention, scammers will continue to thrive, causing devastating emotional and financial harm across our nation.

Your completed survey sends a strong message to Congress and government leaders:

Americans demand action.

We must demonstrate widespread public support to ensure lawmakers prioritize creating this critical agency.

Now is the time for collective action and a united voice.

EXCLUSIVE: Trump Admin Rolls Out New Tool To Stop Noncitizens From ‘Hijacking’ U.S. Elections

The Trump administration is unrolling a new initiative Thursday that will help prevent noncitizens from voting in U.S. elections, a high-priority policy for the White House.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is updating the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program and partnering with the Social Security Administration in order to ensure “a single, reliable source for verifying immigration status and U.S. citizenship,” according to a memo exclusively shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation. Under the update, state and local officials will be able to input Social Security numbers for verification of U.S. citizenship and thereby prevent foreign nationals from voting in American elections.

“For years, states have pleaded for tools to help identify and stop aliens from hijacking our elections,” USCIS Spokesman Matthew Tragesser said in a statement provided to the DCNF.

“Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Noem, USCIS is moving quickly to eliminate voter fraud,” Tragesser continued. “We expect further improvements soon and remain committed to restoring trust in American elections.”

SAVE, an online service administered by USCIS, allows various government agencies to verify the immigration status or U.S. naturalization of applicants seeking benefits or licenses.

The new partnership allows government agencies to create cases in SAVE using an applicant’s Social Security number rather than a Department of Homeland Security identifying number, which is not collected by a majority of state and local agencies, according to a separate news release. Additionally, agencies for the first time will be able to submit more than one case at a time, streamlining the process.

The new tool’s unveiling drew praise from the Tennessee secretary of state’s office, which has been involved in a select group of states providing testing and feedback on these verification updates.

“I commend President Trump and his team for building a super tool for election officials to identify and remove ineligible voters,” Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett said in a statement provided to the DCNF. “I predict this system, once fully developed, will be a game changer for election officials.”

“President Trump’s super election integrity tool means if you are an ineligible registered voter in Tennessee, we will find you,” Hargett said.

Polling indicates that basic voter protection regulations, such as requiring a photo ID to vote and providing proof of citizenship when registering to vote for the first time, are incredibly popular among Americans.

Since returning to the White House, President Donald Trump has prioritized reforms to keep noncitizens out of U.S. elections. The president in March signed Executive Order 14248, Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections, which aims to protect voting systems from fraud, systemic error and foreign influence.

Trump has also voiced strong support for the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, legislation sponsored by Texas GOP Rep. Chip Roy that would require states to obtain proof of citizenship prior to registering an individual for any federal election and also requires state officials to remove all noncitizens from existing voter rolls. That bill passed the House in April, with only four Democrat lawmakers voting in favor of it.

Despite pushback from Democrats who claim GOP concerns over noncitizen voting is overblown, numerous high-profile cases of foreign participation in U.S. elections have been documented in recent months.

Federal prosecutors in April charged two Ukrainian nationals — 53-year-old Svitlana Demydenko and her 22-year-old daughter, Yelyzaveta Demydenko — with unlawfully voting in the 2024 presidential election. Akeel Abdul Jamiel — a 45-year-old Iraqi national — was accused by federal prosecutors that same month of participating in the 2020 presidential election.

State officials in Texas, Alabama, Virginia and Ohio identified as many as 17,000 noncitizens on state voting rolls and worked to remove them from the books ahead of the 2024 general election. America First Legal, a Washington, D.C.-based group aligned with the Trump administration, sued Maricopa County, Arizona, in August after the county recorder allegedly failed to purge 35,000 registered voters who did not provide proof of U.S. citizenship.

The Trump administration hinted at more updates to come in the future.

“USCIS will continue to improve and add more capability and functionality to SAVE,” the USCIS news release reads. “Providing more tools within SAVE ensures state and local governments have robust and reliable access to federal databases to confirm the U.S. citizenship of individuals on their voting rolls and registering to vote, in support of [Trump’s executive order].”

EXCLUSIVE: Cartels Use Flying Machines For Crime At Border. Republican Senator Wants To Stop It

Republican Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford is introducing a bill to combat an increase in drone activity from Mexican cartels on the U.S.-Mexico border, the Daily Caller has learned.

The Border Drone Assessment Act, which Democratic Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly is co-sponsoring, would require the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security to conduct a threat assessment on unmanned aircraft activity at the nation’s borders, according to a review by the Caller.

That threat assessment would include a detailed report on who specifically is operating the drones, what threat they pose to US national security, what data they may be collecting and how they use it.

The bill would require the Under Secretary to submit a detailed report to Congress including a description of the tactics used by the drone operators, a description of current U.S. capabilities to countermand the drones and a description current policies in place to protect the privacy and civil liberties of people who legally operate drones near the border.

“When American airspace is violated by cartels and bad actors, America should be able to defend itself. We need a clear strategy to counter unmanned aircraft systems that cartels use and that threaten border security,” Senator Lankford told the Caller.

The U.S. military has noticed an increase in cartel-operated drones in recent years, though they had yet to actively engage them as of April.

That could be changing, as the Department of Defense (DoD) recently indicated they may soon be deploying aerial countermeasures to combat the cartels’ use of drones. The DoD is “preparing the path for employment of [counter-small uncrewed aerial system or CsUAS] activities along the border,” acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Hemispheric Affairs Mark Ditlevson told Defense Scoop in April.

“As we address these threats and consider using our own drone technology, we must prioritize Americans’ privacy and maintain transparency about the threats along our border,” Lankford concluded.

“Drone technology is rapidly evolving, and in the wrong hands, it can pose risks to our national security,” Sen. Kelly told the Caller.

“With this bill, we’re working to stay ahead of that threat, keeping Arizona families and our country safe,” Kelly concluded.

Lankford previously introduced the Protecting the Border from Unmanned Aircraft Systems Act in 2023 to require various federal agencies to collaborate “for a unified posture on counter-unmanned aircraft systems capabilities and protections at certain facilities at or near a U.S. international border.”

EXCLUSIVE: Cash Flowing Into Anti-ICE Group’s Coffers Came From Chinese Gov’t-Linked Sources

Numerous Chinese government-linked entities have bankrolled a nonprofit accused of offering tips on how to evade federal immigration authorities, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation found.

House Republicans recently launched an investigation into the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) — a New York-based nonprofit that’s been awarded over $1.4 million in tax-payer dollars since 2022 — after an undercover video surfaced purportedly showing CPC staff coaching illegal immigrants on how to avoid Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehension. A review of CPC’s financial records discovered Chinese government-linked sources have been pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into the nonprofit in recent years, raising concerns of potential foreign obstruction of U.S. immigration enforcement.

“I’m deeply concerned that Americans’ hard-earned taxpayer dollars were potentially used by an NGO [non-governmental organization] to help illegal aliens subvert our nation’s laws,” Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green, a Republican from Tennessee, told the DCNF.

“Even more troubling is the Chinese-American Planning Council’s alleged ties to the [CCP] — a regime we know is committed to undermining U.S. sovereignty,” Green continued. “This Committee will continue investigating suspicious activities by NGOs to protect taxpayer dollars from supporting those who make a mockery of our laws.”

CPC has received as much as $445,969 in donations from sources with ties to the Chinese government since 2018, according to financial records reviewed by the DCNF. State-run enterprises such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and Bank of China as well as other entities connected to the Chinese Community Party (CCP) have provided financial assistance to CPC in recent years, records show.

Additionally, CPC also appears to have significant financial and personnel links to a New York-based nonprofit, which, in turn, has extensive ties to Beijing and a CCP influence and intelligence arm.

CPC did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

‘If ICE Comes To The Door…’

Founded in 1965, CPC serves to promote the interests of Chinese-American, immigrant and low income communities across New York City, according to its website. The organization bills itself as the country’s largest Asian American social services group and claims to provide more than 50 “high-quality” programs at numerous sites across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

The House Homeland Security Committee announced on April 16 that it would begin investigating CPC for potentially using federal funds to facilitate illegal immigration. In an April letter first obtained by the DCNF, Green and Oklahoma GOP Rep. Josh Brecheen demanded CPC president Wayne Ho hand over documentation related to his group’s immigration seminars, funding grants and other related material.

The investigation is in response to undercover footage obtained by Muckraker.com, which allegedly shows CPC’s chief policy and public affairs officer, Carlyn Cower, and other staff  directing audience members on best practices to avoid ICE apprehension during a March 8th CPC seminar in New York City.

To avoid ICE, Cowen recommended “hardening your physical space,” “identifying a list of individuals authorized to respond if ICE comes to the door” and “training everybody who’s going to be involved,” footage shows. Another speaker at the event directed individuals to “not open the door at all.”

While state and local officials are not required to assist ICE with its mission, individuals are prohibited by law from getting in the way or otherwise impeding immigration enforcement actions. Immediately upon being sworn into office, Attorney General Pam Bondi ordered funding to be pulled from sanctuary cities — and called for the Department of Justice to investigate NGOs receiving federal grant money.

The Trump administration has made clear it will not tolerate any obstruction of justice, and followed through on this position with the recent arrest and indictment of a Wisconsin judge for allegedly helping an illegal migrant in her courtroom evade an ICE agent.

A main concern for House Republicans is whether CPC has been facilitating illegal immigration all while raking in thousands of dollars in federal grants.

Around 55% of CPC’s total revenue comes from federal and state government grants, according to the House Homeland Security Committee. The New York City-based group has been awarded more than $1.4 million in direct federal grants from the Department of Health and Human Services since 2022, and may have received more federal funding awarded through New York State.

‘The CCP Orbit’

A review of CPC’s annual reports show it not only received U.S. federal tax dollars, but also large sums of cash from Chinese government sources.

The Bank of China, a state-owned banking corporation based in Beijing, gave CPC as much as $9,999 in 2020 and up to that same amount in 2024, the nonprofit’s annual reports show. CPC also received donations from Chinese state-run Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) in 20182019 and 2023, amounting to as much as $19,997, the nonprofit’s annual reports show.

The Hong Kong-based Bank of East Asia has also donated to CPC every year since at least 2018, having possibly doled out as much as $45,000, according to CPC’s financial records. Top executives for the bank, such as co-chief executives Adrian David Li Man-kiu and Brian David Li Man Bun, have both served as delegates to the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) at either regional or national levels, according to their English language profiles on the bank’s website.

CPPCC “delegates attend a high-profile annual meeting to receive direction from the CCP regarding the ways its policies should be characterized” and “serve as proxies for CCP interests,” according to the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.

The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, a NYC-based health services provider catering to the local Asian-American community, has likewise donated large sums to CPC in recent years, according to a review of CPC’s annual reports. Since 2018, the health center contributed as much as $229,993 in donations to CPC, its records show.

However, Charles B. Wang — a Chinese-American billionaire and major donor to the health center — frequently met with CCP influence and intel leaders in China, state-run media reports reveal. A DCNF translation of Chinese government records reveal Wang served as an “executive director” of the China Overseas Exchange Association (COEA), an organization that operated under the CCP’s United Front Work Department (UFWD) in its final years until it was subsumed by a similarly-named and purposed UFWD agency called the China Overseas Friendship Association in 2019.

The UFWD’s operations are a “unique blend of engagement, influence activities, and intelligence operations that the [CCP] uses to shape its political environment, including to influence other countries’ policy toward the [People’s Republic of China] and to gain access to advanced foreign technology,” according to the House Select Committee on the CCP.

A spokesperson for the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, which adopted its present name in 1999, told the DCNF it was not connected to Wang’s “associations with his other philanthropic efforts across the world.” However, the health center’s annual reports show it has received as much as $699,993 from the Charles B. Wang International Foundation since 2009.

CPC is also closely linked with a nonprofit called the Committee of 100 (C100) through donations and shared leadership. While C100 claims merely to seek “constructive dialogue and relationships between the peoples of the United States and Greater China,” the nonprofit has been repeatedly accused of promoting CCP interests, with one joint report by the Hoover Institution and Asia Society alleging that the Chinese Consulate tasks C100 with co-opting prominent Chinese-Americans.

“It’s a cover organization for the CCP,” Shawn Steel, a California Republican National Committee member, told the DCNF. “So, any issue that would infringe or hurt the CCP, [C100] seems to be out there saying, ‘no, no, no, we can’t do this, it’s bad for Chinese-American relations.’”

Steel — who is married to former California GOP Rep. Michelle Steel — said he began looking into the C100 after the group attacked his wife for opposing China’s Confucius Institute program. While a member of Congress, Michelle Steel voted in favor of a resolution restricting funding to universities with ties to the Confucius Institute, which itself receives funding from the Chinese government under UFWD guidance, according to the State Department.

“C100 has morphed into the CCP orbit with its close connection to the CCP’s [UFWD],” Shawn Steel said.

C100’s members have included numerous individuals serving as Chinese government and United Front officials, the DCNF previously reported, such as Dominic Ng, CEO of East West Bank. Ng ultimately admitted membership in the aforementioned United Front group COEA after a DCNF investigation revealed that the CPPCC and several UFWD organizations identified him as a member.

Ng’s East West Bank — a California-based bank with at least one branch in China that was launched with a top United Front official present — donated as much as $9,999 to CPC in 2018, according to the nonprofit’s annual reports.

Charles P. Wang, who bears no relation to the aforementioned Charles B. Wang, has been a C100 member since 1989, and held multiple CPC leadership roles between 1968 and 1989, including executive director, according to his C100 website profile. Wang still remains active with the nonprofit, whose staff and board members came together to help honor him in October 2024 at an event in Flushing, New York.

Wang has also served as a Chinese government advisor and China Overseas Friendship Association director, according to Chinese government records and an Epoch Times report.

One C100 co-founder, Henry S. Tang, also served as a CPC chair from the 1970s to 1990, according to state-owned China Daily. Both Charles P. Wang and Tang are listed as “overseas advisors” to an anti-Taiwan independence front group, which operates as a subchapter of a CCP entity “directly subordinate” to the UFWD, according to the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.

Several other C100 members have also made substantial and recurring donations to CPC since 2018, such as Shau-wai Lam, who, together with the company he founded, have donated as much as $69,992 to CPC, the nonprofit’s annual reports show. C100 itself also donated as much as $999 to CPC in 2023, according to its annual report.

“The Committee of 100 — and I’m granting grace — may have started with innocent and good intent, but it’s very clear that’s just not the case anymore,” Col. John Mills, Ret., a senior fellow at the Center For Security Policy, told the DCNF. “It’s absurd to not be concerned with this group in the current era, and anybody who is a part of it needs to do soul searching on why they are really part of this.”

“At this point in time, it’s like having a group during the Cold War that was advocating for the Soviet Union,” Mills said.

“Committee of 100 is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization of distinguished Chinese Americans committed to the full inclusion of Chinese Americans across U.S. society and helping to ensure constructive dialogue between the U.S. and Greater China,” a C100 spokesperson told the DCNF. “Our members are American citizens who serve as leaders in business, government, academia, and the arts. Committee of 100 operates independently of any government and we share a commitment to core American values.”

However, the spokesperson refused to answer specific questions about Charles P. Wang, Tang, Lam or C100’s relationship with the UFWD, Chinese Consulate and CPC.

Government Censorship Project Boasted of Suppressing Trump Message, Defunding Newsrooms

For years, my colleagues and I have been fighting this enormous machine of censorship. We knew it was an immense machine but we did not know the US government was behind it.

Key group in government censorship project boasted of suppressing Trump message, defunding newsrooms

Democracy Dies in Darkness? A new memo from the taxpayer-funded National Endowment for Democracy shows grantee Global Disinformation Index viewed silencing Trump and toxifying certain news outlets to reduce their revenues as a win. The policy spread to other federal programs.

By Steven Richards and John Solomon, Just The News, May 19, 2025:

A nonprofit that received federal funding to develop censorship strategies boasted in progress reports to the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) that early tactics had suppressed the reach of Donald Trump’s messaging and reduced advertising by $100 million to news outlets it deemed to be “disinformation” spreaders, according to newly disclosed memos.

The Global Disinformation Index (GDI) was awarded grants through its U.S.-based affiliate, AN Foundation, from NED, a congressionally chartered and taxpayer-funded agency in Washington. The grants were paid to develop strategies on how to fight perceived disinformation in foreign countries.

But GDI’s quarterly progress reports often explicitly boasted about the impact of censorship efforts on American targets and audiences.

For instance, it touted to the NED that it had created a report called “Bankrolling Bigotry: An Overview of the Online Funding Strategies of American Hate Groups” that relied heavily on research from the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center to warn that “hatred is surging across the United States, threatening the safety, security and wellbeing of minority communities.”

You can read that report here: bankrolling-bigotry-3.pdf

Demonetization: Trying to bankrupt news outlets

Similarly, it boasted about its recommended tactics. Specifically, urging advertisers to choke revenue to news outlets that the index deemed to spread disinformation had an enormous early impact, it wrote.

“This period, we turned our minds to evaluation of GDI’s impact; specifically, to how we might measure the demonetization achieved through uptake of our risk ratings by brands and/or ad tech platforms,” GDI wrote. Demonetization refers to the practice of pressuring advertisers and gaming search engines in order to reduce, or even remove, earnings from YouTube and other social media platforms relied upon by publishers.

Partnering with a “trusted ad tech analytics organization,” GDI estimated that during a 15-month period, from March 2020 to September 2021, the number of bids sent to the approximately 1,200 sites listed on its “Dynamic Exclusion List” was halved, leading to an estimated $100 million lost in collective revenue, the memo says.

You can read GDI’s grant agreement with NED and quarterly narrative reports below:
NED-GDI Grant Agreement and Quarterly Narrative Reports.pdf

GDI’s own index identified 10 American news media outlets as superspreaders of disinformation, almost all of them conservative voices, like The New York PostThe Daily Wire, Newsmax, The Federalist, and The Blaze, among others. The memos mentioned that, combined, the outlets identified by the index lost advertising, but did not identify them by name.

Michael Chamberlain, head of the nonprofit watchdog Protect the Public’s Trust, which obtained the documents under the Freedom of Information Act, said the memos proved that while NED’s effort was billed as targeting overseas propaganda, it ended up routinely focusing on suppressing American speech, mostly right-leaning or conservative in nature.

“The Censorship Industrial Complex was hard at work early in this decade, and they were using taxpayer dollars to do so,” Chamberlain told Just the News in an interview. “They effectively gave funding to GDI to look at disinformation, misinformation in foreign countries, such as countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America—Nigeria, India, Malaysia, Mexico are mentioned specifically in the grant application.”

Selectively suppressing political speech

Perhaps its most stark admission came when it cited a New York Times article on how the censorship industry’s effort to shut down Trump’s social media presence had undercut the former and future president’s reach and amplification. GDI bragged in the progress report about the “wider context” of its work that included research on Donald Trump’s social media reach after he was deplatformed by most U.S. social media apps in the wake of Jan. 6 and his departure from office.

“Our press coverage during the quarter included a front-page article in The New York Times citing GDI research on the dramatic drop in reach of Trump’s statements once the bullhorn of the social media algorithms was removed,” the group touted.

Mike Benz, the founder of the Foundation for Freedom Online and a major anti-censorship activist, said the documents were stunning and disturbing.

“I am absolutely disgusted by these revelations, as should be every American and every world citizen to see the US government, under the Biden administration, actively funding a full-out campaign to pressure advertisers to defund private independent news sites who competed with the Biden State Department’s media narratives,” Benz told Just the News.

“Everyone involved in this should be fired, and frankly, NED itself must be defunded,” he added.

Netanyahu on Trump: “We speak every few days!”

Netanyahu appeared in the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee spoke about the media chatter that Trump doesn’t like him.

“I heard in the media that Trump and I are parting ways. Ambassador Huckabee pointed it out. Trump and I talk every few days. He said himself that we see eye to eye. I don’t think you’re going to hear about a Palestinian state, the talk of a rupture is for political reasons.

We didn’t ask for permission to attack the Houthis, and we’re not asking for permission for our war plans in Gaza.

The Americans volunteered to get involved with the Houthis and said they would leave when it stops.”

Israel’s war is a beacon for all Middle East minorities

In the Middle East, all minorities bleed — Israel gives them hope.

It is often said that the Jewish people are hated in the Middle East. That is true — but it is only part of the story.

In truth, hatred for minorities of all kinds is woven into the fabric of many regimes and societies across the region. From the Yazidis slaughtered by ISIS to the Christians driven from their ancestral homelands, from the Kurds betrayed time and again, to the Baha’i persecuted in Iran — the Middle East has long been a graveyard for its minorities.

The Druze, Assyrians, Copts, Maronites, Armenians — they have all endured massacres, exile, and systemic discrimination. In nearly every Arab or Islamic state, minorities live in fear, silence, or exile. Their houses of worship are bombed, their languages erased, their communities scattered.

But one country stands apart: Israel.

Israel, the only Jewish state, is also the only Middle Eastern country where minorities can live freely, vote, speak their language, and serve in government and the military. Israeli Druze and Christians sit in the Knesset. Arab Israelis serve on the Supreme Court.

The Baha’i faith, banned and persecuted in its birthplace Iran, finds sanctuary and its world center in Haifa. Kurds, whose dream of independence is crushed across the region, look to Israel with admiration and solidarity.

Israel’s victory against Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran’s proxies is not just a win for the Jewish people. It is a win for every minority fighting to survive in a region dominated by oppressive majorities. Every time Israel stands strong, it sends a message: You can be a minority and not be a victim. You can be free, proud, and armed with moral clarity.

Israel’s light shines not only for the Jews — but for every people who dreams of dignity, freedom, and a future in the Middle East.

American Public Backs Trump’s Crackdown on Crime

Alcatraz Island, a rocky outcrop in the San Francisco Bay, has a storied history as one of America’s most infamous penitentiaries. However, it closed in 1963 and transformed into a tourist hotspot, attracting millions yearly. Now, as part of his crackdown on crime, President Donald Trump is pushing to revive its original purpose as a high-security prison, aligning with his aggressive vision to restore “law and order” to America.

“REBUILD, AND OPEN ALCATRAZ!” he wrote on Truth Social. “For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat Criminal Offenders, the dregs of society, who will never contribute anything other than Misery and Suffering.” He emphasized that America was once “a more serious nation,” where “we did not hesitate to lock up the most dangerous criminals, and keep them far away from anyone they could harm.” That, he insisted, is “how it’s supposed to be,” vowing that his administration will no longer allow Americans to be “held hostage to criminals, thugs, and Judges that are afraid to do their job.”

“The reopening of ALCATRAZ,” Trump concluded, “will serve as a symbol of Law, Order, and JUSTICE.” And as it turns out, this is exactly what the American people want from the Trump administration. CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten highlighted statistics to back it up.

“This speaks to one of Trump’s best issues, right? The idea of Alcatraz,” Enten said. “You think law and order — you think Donald Trump.” Citing an Ipsos poll, he highlighted Trump’s net approval rating on handling crime at +2 points, a stark contrast to Joe Biden’s -26 points. “You rarely ever see it,” Enten remarked.

He continued, “So Donald Trump ran, in part, on law and order. It was one of the reasons that he got elected. And at this particular point, Americans like what they’re hearing from him on the issue of crime.” It’s all in the numbers, he added, “And you see this right here, with a plus two net approval rating — far better than Joe Biden left office with back in 2024.” But the report didn’t end there.

CNN took into consideration a different poll, comparing how Americans viewed Trump’s handling of crime from his first term to his second. In doing so, Enten explained, “We see that Donald Trump’s net approval rating on handling crime is far better now at plus two points.” During his first term, Trump was “underwater at -13 points.” So, now, “he’s doing 15 points better in terms of how people are viewing his handling of crime now than he was doing” before.

Enten tied it all together: “[W]hen you hear Donald Trump talking about stuff like Alcatraz — yes, I know it’s late-night fodder for a lot of different folks — but what it actually speaks to is Donald Trump focusing the American people’s attention on an issue in which they actually do like what he’s doing.” The Ipsos poll cited by Enten reflects the growing public frustration with rising crime rates in general. For example, beyond Alcatraz, Trump’s crime agenda dovetails with his immigration policies, which were another cornerstone of his 2024 campaign.

The Washington Stand reported that Trump has already taken significant steps to secure the U.S. border, including reinstating the Remain in Mexico policy, ending catch-and-release, designating criminal syndicates like Tren de Aragua and MS-13 as foreign terrorist organizations or criminal enterprises, and leveraging the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport illegal immigrants. Earlier this week, the Department of Homeland Security introduced a new incentive: a $1,000 stipend for illegal immigrants who voluntarily self-deport using the CBP Home app.

Notably, Trump’s immigration crackdown first prioritized those with criminal records, particularly violent offenders. In his first 100 days, his administration has focused on deporting individuals convicted of serious crimes, a policy that aligns with the Alcatraz proposal’s emphasis on isolating dangerous individuals.

Whether the reopening of Alcatraz comes to fruition or serves as a rhetorical lightning rod, the proposal has already succeeded in refocusing public attention on crime, an issue that continues to shape the political landscape in 2025.

NPR, Truth, and Public Funding

President Trump has repeated his call to defund PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) and Under the First Amendment, PBS and NPR certainly have the right to free expression, but must the American taxpayers be forced to fund them? From a Christian and conservative perspective, they are heavily biased broadcasters.

When the issue came up two months ago, Congress held a hearing with Katherine Maher, the CEO of NPR. Ohio Republican Representative James Jordan asked if NPR was biased, and she responded: “I have never seen any political bias.”

But Jordan countered: “In the DC area, editorial positions at NPR have 87 registered Democrats and zero Republicans.” He gave an example where one of those 87 Democrat editors said of the Hunter Biden laptop story: “We don’t want to waste our readers and listeners’ time on stories that are just pure distractions.”

Defenders of PBS and NPR, such as MSNBC, claim that “Trump’s attempt to defund NPR and PBS is straight out of the authoritarian playbook.”

In an op-ed for The Hill, Jonathan Turley writes of “The Cost of Arrogance: NPR’s undoing is a cautionary tale for the media.”

The Media Research Center (MRC)—no fan of NPR and PBS—reports, “This media dinosaur [NPR] has recently hired a horde of new lobbyists who are now scurrying across Capitol Hill to justify its hold on $1.1 billion in taxpayer subsidies.”

Must we the taxpayers be forced to pay for speech with which we disagree? During the classic debate over federal funding of the arts around 35 years ago, I interviewed the late North Carolina Senator Jesse Helms. He told me, it’s one thing to scribble naughty words on the public bathroom wall—but don’t make me have to provide you with the crayon to do it.

What’s fascinating about NPR’s Katherine Maher is that she certainly has a squishy view of truth.

In a 2022 TED talk she observed: “Our reverence for the truth might be a distraction that is getting in the way of finding common ground and getting things done…That is not to say that the truth doesn’t exist or to say that the truth isn’t important. Clearly the search for the truth has led us to do great things…[but] one reason we have such glorious chronicles to the human experience and all forms of culture is because we acknowledge there are many different truths.”

She added what’s true for you might not be what’s true for the person sitting next to you.

This reminds me of what many of us heard last month in the Good Friday account in the Gospel of John, when Jesus was standing before Pontius Pilate, and the Defendant referenced “the truth.” And the Roman procurator asked a famous question to Christ—not realizing he was speaking to Truth Incarnate. “What is truth?” sneered Pilate.

Does truth exist? Yes, said the founders of America in our Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.” If there is no truth, we have no rights.

In the book, Lord of All, which I cowrote with the late D. James Kennedy, we included an interaction he had with the late ABC anchor, Peter Jennings—who was promoting a 2004 documentary he hosted on Jesus and Paul. Dr. Kennedy had been quite critical of Jennings for his 2000 special on Jesus that relied almost entirely on radically liberal Jesus scholars.

Peter Jennings said, “I’m looking for as many opinions and ideas and reference in all this regard as I can. Your truth I fully wholeheartedly accept. But it’s not everybody’s truth and you know that.”

  1. James Kennedy: “Well, of course I believe that there are such things as absolutes and that there is an absolute truth, and the fact that it was true before I ever believed it—and I was almost 25 years old before I ever believed. But when I was 22, it was still true and I didn’t believe it.…I did not believe Christ rose from the dead… and [now]I do believe that Christ rose from the dead, and nothing changed except me.”

The founding fathers believed in truth, in free speech, and in robust debate. Freedom of speech and of the press are enshrined in our First Amendment. In his famous “Give me liberty or give me death” speech, founding father Patrick Henry spoke of the importance of “the freedom of the debate,” noting, “It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country.”

But that didn’t mean the government had to pay for that debate—on either side.

President Trump Ends Federal Funding for Far-Left National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)

President Trump signed an executive order late Thursday terminating federal funding for National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) — which receive millions from taxpayers to spread extremist, woke propaganda disguised as “news.”

NPR and PBS, which have long been targeted for cuts by conservatives, both receive partial funding through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which the president argued is unnecessary in the current media environment.

Our tax dollars shouldn’t be funding institutions that promoting anti-American, far left propaganda.

“Government funding of news media in this environment is not only outdated and unnecessary but corrosive to the appearance of journalistic independence,” Trump wrote in the order.

ENDING TAXPAYER SUBSIDIZATION OF BIASED MEDIA

White House: By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:

Section 1.  Purpose.  National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) receive taxpayer funds through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB).  Unlike in 1967, when the CPB was established, today the media landscape is filled with abundant, diverse, and innovative news options.  Government funding of news media in this environment is not only outdated and unnecessary but corrosive to the appearance of journalistic independence.

At the very least, Americans have the right to expect that if their tax dollars fund public broadcasting at all, they fund only fair, accurate, unbiased, and nonpartisan news coverage.  No media outlet has a constitutional right to taxpayer subsidies, and the Government is entitled to determine which categories of activities to subsidize.  The CPB’s governing statute reflects principles of impartiality:  the CPB may not “contribute to or otherwise support any political party.”  47 U.S.C. 396(f)(3); see also id. 396(e)(2).

The CPB fails to abide by these principles to the extent it subsidizes NPR and PBS.  Which viewpoints NPR and PBS promote does not matter.  What does matter is that neither entity presents a fair, accurate, or unbiased portrayal of current events to taxpaying citizens.

I therefore instruct the CPB Board of Directors (CPB Board) and all executive departments and agencies (agencies) to cease Federal funding for NPR and PBS.

Sec. 2.  Instructions to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.  (a)  The CPB Board shall cease direct funding to NPR and PBS, consistent with my Administration’s policy to ensure that Federal funding does not support biased and partisan news coverage.  The CPB Board shall cancel existing direct funding to the maximum extent allowed by law and shall decline to provide future funding.

(b)  The CPB Board shall cease indirect funding to NPR and PBS, including by ensuring that licensees and permittees of public radio and television stations, as well as any other recipients of CPB funds, do not use Federal funds for NPR and PBS.  To effectuate this directive, the CPB Board shall, before June 30, 2025, revise the 2025 Television Community Service Grants General Provisions and Eligibility Criteria and the 2025 Radio Community Service Grants General Provisions and Eligibility Criteria to prohibit direct or indirect funding of NPR and PBS.  To the extent permitted by the 2024 Television Community Service Grants General Provisions and Eligibility Criteria, the 2024 Radio Community Service Grants General Provisions and Eligibility Criteria, and applicable law, the CPB Board shall also prohibit parties subject to these provisions from funding NPR or PBS after the date of this order.  In addition, the CPB Board shall take all other necessary steps to minimize or eliminate its indirect funding of NPR and PBS.

Sec. 3.  Instructions to Other Agencies.  (a)  The heads of all agencies shall identify and terminate, to the maximum extent consistent with applicable law, any direct or indirect funding of NPR and PBS.

(b)  After taking the actions specified in subsection (a) of this section, the heads of all agencies shall identify any remaining grants, contracts, or other funding instruments entered into with NPR or PBS and shall determine whether NPR and PBS are in compliance with the terms of those instruments.  In the event of a finding of noncompliance, the head of the relevant agency shall take appropriate steps under the terms of the instrument.

(c)  The Secretary of Health and Human Services shall determine whether “the Public Broadcasting Service and National Public Radio (or any successor organization)” are complying with the statutory mandate that “no person shall be subjected to discrimination in employment . . . on the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, or sex.”  47 U.S.C. 397(15), 398(b).  In the event of a finding of noncompliance, the Secretary of Health and Human Services shall take appropriate corrective action.

Sec. 4.  Severability.  If any provision of this order, or the application of any provision to any agency, person, or circumstance, is held to be invalid, the remainder of this order and the application of its provisions to any other agencies, persons, or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

Sec. 5.  General Provisions.  (a)  Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:

(i)   the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or the head thereof; or

(ii)  the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.

(b)  This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.

(c)  This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.
