Israel’s Anti-UNRWA Campaign is Working

The IDF has gathered evidence that proves that dozens of UNRWA staff members took part in the atrocities — rapes, tortures, mutilations, murders — carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023. In addition, the IDF has gathered other evidence showing that more than 50 principals and senior staff at UNRWA schools and training centers in Gaza are members of Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Furthermore, UNRWA schools have been used to store weapons and hide combatants, all with the knowledge of the UNRWA staff. The main command-and-control center for Hamas was built directly under UNRWA’s headquarters in Gaza. Israel has disseminated this damning information on billboards in major cities around the world, and on social media of every kind. UNRWA, of course, is furious and accuses Israel of waging a campaign of deliberate “misinformation.” More on Israel’s efforts to spread the truth about UNRWA, and UNRWA’s attempt to subvert those efforts by branding those efforts as “hate speech,” can be found here: “UNRWA ludicrously claims that anti-@UNRWA ads are ‘hate speech.’” Elder of Ziyon, December 5, 2024:

UNRWA’s latest press release shows that it simply cannot defined itself based on facts, so it is claiming that Israel is engaged in “hate speech.”

Using commercial advertisement including billboards in several cities around the world and paid Google ads on multiple websites, the Government of Israel has stepped up its disinformation campaign against UNRWA.

These ads are the latest in a series of a wider campaign against UNRWA by the Government of Israel, which continues to publicly call for dismantling the Agency.

This latest global effort by a UN member state to label a UN agency as a terror organisation may amount to hate speech using corporations that are supposed to promote commercial products….

Why is noting the number of UNRWA senior staff who are members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad “hate speech”? Why is reporting on the widespread use by Hamas of UNRWA schools to store weapons and combatants “hate speech”?

UNRWA wants to prevent Israel from disseminating the truth about its connections to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. It calls the Israeli effort “disinformation,” but offers not a shred of evidence to support that claim.

So UNRWA is trying to pressure advertising companies to censor ads because they are “disinformation” and “hate speech.”

The Israeli information campaign must be effective, given the rage it has provoked in UNRWA. Using multiple media — from billboards to X (formerly Twitter) — the Israelis have provided the names and faces of UNRWA staff who are members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. They have listed the UNRWA schools where Hamas weapons were found, and in some cases where Hamas fighters were hiding out, and from whose premises Hamas launched rockets into Israel. UNRWA is in a rage; it has labelled the evidence amassed by Israel as “hate speech” and “disinformation,” but has yet to provide a single example of either. Which means that the money spent on this campaign of truth-telling hasbarah should be expanded. At last the Israelis, whose hasbarah efforts were for decades deemed mediocre, and cause for alarm among the Jewish state’s supporters, have now learned to weaponize the truth. Late in the day, as Elder of Ziyon says, but better late than never.

Of Course: Former UNRWA Teacher Helped Organize the Amsterdam Pogrom

UNRWA shouldn’t get another penny of American aid. Neither should the UN as a whole.

“Did a former UNRWA teacher help organize the Amsterdam pogrom?,” by Ohad Merlin, Jerusalem Post, November 10, 2024:

The organized violent antisemitic rampage which took place in Amsterdam Thursday night shocked many in the European continent and beyond. Now, several days later, more and more information regarding the events and the organizers began to flow, with findings pointing to a PGNL, a Hamas-affiliated group active in the Netherlands, as a main organizer of the anti-Israel protests in the country.

The Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) published an exposé showcasing how, on November 6, local authorities decided to cancel a preplanned protest against the Maccabi Ajax FC football game scheduled for 19:00 on November 7. However, the organizers did not give up and posted an invite to a new protest, which cautioned attendees to arrive in small groups, conceal Keffiyehs and Palestinian flags, and openly specified “This is a direct clash with our enemy (IOF and Mossad). Even if we do not get our desired location, we will not give up”; warning those under 18 not to attend the protest and calling to “prepare ourselves to deal with grave violence.”

NCRI’s exposé highlighted that one of the main planners of these protests is an organization innocently named “The Palestinian Community in the Netherlands” (Palestijnse Gemeenschap In Nederland – PGNL), a group which organizes protests and “actions” across the Netherlands, with active groups on instant messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram.

According to a report by the European Leadership Network (ELNET) released last month, PGNL forms part of the Hamas-affiliated network in the Netherlands and Europe, as it was led for years by Amin Abu-Rashid, a designated Hamas official who was arrested by Dutch authorities in mid-2023 following accusations of transferring funds to Hamas. The ELNET report highlights that, in addition to organizing many of the recent pro-Hamas protests in the Netherlands, PGNL has hosted the late former Hamas official Ismail Haniyeh in 2007 over a video conference, and hosted an event saluting former Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin in 2016.

Following Abu-Rashid’s arrest, PGNL is led nowadays by Ayman Nejmeh, who appeared in the NCRI exposé as an administrator at one of PGNL’s instant messaging app groups. Nejmeh is a Syrian-born activist who described himself on his Facebook profile as a former UNRWA teacher, and who spoke at a pro-UNRWA rally in February. However, at some point in the past couple of days, Nejmeh decided to delete his affiliation with UNRWA from his Facebook profile for unknown reasons. In any case, Nejmeh himself has posted pro-Hamas content in the past on his Facebook page as well, including a picture of an al-Qassam militant.

Also according to the ELNET report, another leader at PGNL is Ahmed Skineh, who held close ties to aforementioned Hamas official Amin Abu-Rashid, and who is involved in many pro-Hamas organizations, including those designated by Israel or recognized by European authorities as acting on behalf of Hamas. These include the UK-based Palestinian Return Centre, the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad, and the European Palestinian Council for Political Relations, led by US-designated Hamas official Majed al-Zeer….

Official Confirmation: Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar Is Dead; Killed Trying to Flee Gaza

By: Joel B. Pollak, Breitbart News, Oct 17,. 2024

Israel has officially confirmed that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is dead, killed in a chance encounter Wednesday with infantry and armored units of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

In a joint statement Thursday evening local time, titled “Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization who was responsible for planning and executing the October 7th Massacre, has been eliminated,” the IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA) declared:

The IDF and ISA confirm that after a year-long pursuit, yesterday (Wednesday), October 16, 2024, IDF soldiers from the Southern Command eliminated Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization, in an operation in the southern Gaza Strip. Yahya Sinwar planned and executed the October 7th Massacre, promoted his murderous ideology both before and during the war, and was responsible for the murder and abduction of many Israelis.

Yahya Sinwar was eliminated after hiding for the past year behind the civilian population of Gaza, both above and below ground in Hamas tunnels in the Gaza Strip. The dozens of operations carried out by the IDF and the ISA over the last year, and in recent weeks in the area where he was eliminated, restricted Yahya Sinwar’s operational movement as he was pursued by the forces and led to his elimination.

In recent weeks, IDF and ISA forces, under the command of the Southern Command, have been operating in the southern Gaza Strip, following IDF and ISA intelligence that indicated the suspected locations of senior members of Hamas. IDF soldiers of the 828th Brigade (Bislach) operating in the area identified and eliminated three terrorists. After completing the process of identifying the body, it can be confirmed that Yahya Sinwar was eliminated.

The IDF added on X (formerly Twitter):

As Breitbart News reported, the IDF suspected that Sinwar may have been inadvertently killed after soldiers directed tank fire at a building in which three terrorists had been spotted. Afterwards, infantry soldiers discovered, to their surprise, a body that resembled Sinwar.

The body was taken to Israel for further examination, including dental, DNA, and fingerprint verification. It is unclear how many of these checks were completed before Israeli officials concluded that the dead body was indeed Sinwar’s.

According to Israel’s Army Radio, Sinwar was found with passports on his body, as well as a quantity of cash. He was apparently trying to flee Gaza to Egypt, leaving Hamas and the Palestinian people behind as he attempted to escape.

Sinwar was once thought to have surrounded himself with hostages to prevent Israel from killing him in an airstrike. On Thursday it was revealed that those hostages were the ones executed in a tunnel in late August, including U.S. citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, as Israeli soldiers closed in. Sinwar had evidently been on the run ever since. His body was found next to those of senior Hamas commanders known to be close to him.

The Biden-Harris administration had, just days earlier, threatened Israel with an arms embargo unless it did more to “surge” aid into Gaza and trimmed its military operations there. Harris had also pushed for a ceasefire earlier in the war, even before the release of hostages had been achieved. Other nations, such as France, had called for an arms embargo to stop the war.

Sinwar was killed near the Philadelphi corridor in southern Gaza, on the Gaza-Egypt border, an area from which the Biden-Harris administration had been urging Israel to withdraw for a ceasefire deal.

Yahya Sinwar eliminated. He joins Hitler and many other Hamas terrorists in hell!

U.N. Teacher’s Passport Found on Hamas Terrorist Mastermind Yahya Sinwar

By John Hayward

A passport belonging to a U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) teacher was found on the body of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was killed by Israeli ground forces in the Gaza city of Rafah on Thursday.

According to Nurit Yohanan, Palestinian affairs correspondent for Israeli public radio’s KAN News, the passport carried by Sinwar belongs to a UNRWA teacher and Rafah native named Hani Zourob who left for Egypt in April.

It was not immediately clear if the passport carried by Sinwar was a copy or a fake document.

Early reports in the chaotic moments after Sinwar’s death suggested the passport was carried by one of his bodyguards, and the bodyguard actually was Hani Zourob.

Yohana said she contacted Zourob and determined he is alive and well in Egypt. Sinwar’s bodyguards are neither alive nor well.

Israel identifies 100 UNRWA employees who are also jihad terrorists, asks for their dismissal

The Biden regime should have cut all funding to UNRWA as soon as it was revealed that UNRWA employees were working as jihadis. But it didn’t. Now, why is that?

Israel identifies 100 UNRWA employees who work as ‘terrorist operatives’, asks for their dismissal

by Andrea Vacchiano and Yonat Friling, Fox News, July 11, 2024:

Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is employing 100 terrorist operatives and directly asked the organization to terminate the staffers immediately.

In the July 4 letter, which was obtained by Fox News Digital, Ambassador Amir Weissbrod wrote that the presence of Hamas terrorists in UNRWA has been a “recurring concern” for Israeli officials.

“However, the full scope of this unprecedented infiltration was unknown and became clear only after the October 7th terrorist attack on Israel, in which, as you know, UNRWA employees actively participated,” Weissbrod said.

“In recent months Israel has discovered that hundreds of terrorists, members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) have been employed by UNRWA in the Gaza Strip, some of them holding high-ranking positions in UNRWA or in Hamas.”

The ambassador added that the intent of his letter was to share “some additional information on this matter,” and proceeded to identify the employees associated with Hamas.

“Please find attached a document containing 100 names and IDs of terrorist operatives who are currently employed by UNRWA-Gaza,” Weissbrod wrote. “This list includes their military IDs as well.”

The official added that the list contains a “small fraction” of terrorist operatives employed by UNRWA, and that the names of more employees will be sent in the future.

“Israel expects from you and your organization to immediately terminate the employment of any member of Hamas or PIJ…their work in UNRWA poses a security risk for Israel, and represents a breach of the principle of neutrality as was mentioned in Ms. Colonna’s report,” Weissbrod added….

Found Inside Gaza City UNRWA HQ — Hamas, War Rooms, Drones, Explosives, Weapons

Inside UNRWA’s Gaza City headquarters, the IDF located a war rooms used for surveillance operations along with tactical drones, rockets, machine guns, mortars, explosives and grenades.

The world needs to face facts UNRWA is a front for Hamas. Every country funding UNRWA is funding a terror army.

The UN agency is a terrorist organization.

Israeli Ambassador Amir Weissbrod has asked the UNRWA to fire the 100 employees that the Israeli government had identified as terrorist operatives in a July 4 letter obtained by Fox.

IDF finds Hamas, PIJ war rooms, drones, explosives, in Gaza City UNRWA HQ

The tunnel, which had been previously exposed and operated against by Israeli troops, served as a major Hamas military intelligence asset, the IDF noted.

During raids over the last week on a Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad combat complex embedded in a former UNRWA compound, troops of the Commando Brigade’s combat team, operating under the direction of the 99th Division, located significant terror infrastructure embedded in the facility.

Among the weapons and infrastructure located in the UNRWA complex were war rooms used for surveillance operations, parts for UAV assembly, tactical drones, rockets, machine guns, mortars, explosives, and grenades, the IDF added.

In other scans of the vicinity, during the army’s ongoing operational activity in the area, soldiers reportedly discovered a subterranean weapons and explosives manufacturing facility inside a university building.

On Wednesday, the IDF reported that troops of the 99th Division had, after opening an evacuation route for civilians, engaged and killed terrorists operating on the Gaza City UNRWA headquarters premises in close-quarters combat.

Other terrorists were arrested by the Israeli personnel.

On Monday, the IDF first reported that the operation on the facility began the previous night and was jointly conducted by the 99th Division and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency). At the time, the military had reported that it operated on intelligence, indicating the presence of terror infrastructure in the area.

Troops had previously located a terror tunnel running beneath the facility that had served as a major Hamas military intelligence asset, the IDF added.

U.S. Must Stop Funding ‘Corrupt, Anti-Semitic, Terror-Complicit’ U.N.R.W.A. Agency: Congressman

The Biden administration’s rhetoric has condemned the October 7 terrorist attack on Israeli civilians, but its deeds have made the U.S. one of the top contributors to terrorist incitement, according to a senior congressmen seeking to cut all financial ties to a terror-tied U.N. organization.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) was established after 700,000 Palestinians were displaced by the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, which culminated in the establishment of the state of Israel. Today, UNRWA reports 1.7 million refugees, only 200,000 of them the original refugees, as the great-grandchildren of the 1948 population have joined the list. International intelligence found 12 members of UNRWA took part in the October 7 terrorist attack — which included numerous kidnappings, rape as a tool of torture, and murdering of Israeli civilians. But they say that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

UNRWA has “spawned this cycle of hate,” Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.), senior member on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and co-chair of the House Task Force for Combating Anti-Semitism, told “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins” on Monday.

The United States has become complicit, because “we are the biggest donor by far,” Smith told Perkins. The U.S. funded UNRWA to the tune of $6 billion between 1950 and 2018. Donald “Trump, to his credit, ended all funding for UNRWA when he was president. Then came Joe Biden, and he’s given them over $1 billion U.S. tax dollars, without any condition.” The Biden administration transferred as many taxpayer dollars to UNRWA in three years as previous administrations gave in more than a decade.

“UNRWA is a corrupt, anti-Semitic, and terror-complicit agency,” said Smith earlier that day at an international conference in Geneva. “UNRWA radicalizes Palestinian children with seething anti-Semitic hate — it is a child soldier factory. It is child abuse.”

Although President Joe Biden and 18 nations “paused” aid to UNRWA after last fall’s hostilities, this constitutes “only a pause pending outcome of an ‘investigation’ that appears to be woefully and unnecessarily limited in scope,” Smith told the “International Summit for a Future Beyond UNRWA,” hosted by UN Watch. “I remain deeply concerned that they too will not go beyond a look at the 12 UNRWA employees alleged to have participated in the October 7 atrocities.”

Israeli intelligence documents furnished to CBS News reportedly document the dozen UNRWA workers’ participation in the uprising, including taking part in kidnapping Israeli civilians.

But Israeli intelligence states 10% of all UNRWA’s 12,000 employees (or 1,200 people) have some kind of affiliation with Hamas, the ruling party in the Palestinian Authority.

They say 236 UNRWA workers have ties to the militant/terrorist wings of Palestinian groups, including 185 affiliated with Hamas and 51 with Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

U.S. intelligence agencies reportedly found Israeli allegations about UNRWA’s participation in the October 7 atrocities credible but cannot verify the exact number of employees affiliated with the terrorist groups.

On February 10, Israeli intelligence said it discovered a tunnel beneath a UNRWA facility in Gaza City, nearly half-a-mile long and 59 feet deep, that leads to a Hamas intelligence hub. “The United Nations Relief and Works Agency has been knowingly providing material support for Hamas terrorists who committed unspeakable atrocities against over a thousand Israelis and dozens of Americans,” said Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. “That support included salaries and facilities. Foreigners who knowingly funded UNRWA should be subject to sanctions and Americans who knowingly fund-raised for them should be investigated for criminal material support.”

A former investigator for the U.N.’s investigative body, the Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS), said the OIOS cannot impose a greater disciplinary measure than dismissal: Of the 12 in question, two have been reported dead, and the other 10 have already been fired. “I can confidently say that its investigation will amount to nothing,” wrote Peter Anthony Gallo in The Wall Street Journal.

Cutting off funding to the terror-linked U.N. agency enjoys bipartisan support. Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Tenn.), the liberal co-chair of the House Israel Allies Caucus, said he would “applaud President Joe Biden’s decision to suspend UNRWA funding,” before tracing the previous seven years of troubling UNRWA activity.

“In 2017, UNRWA acknowledged the falsehood of its previous denials and fired its Gaza union head after he was revealed as part of Hamas leadership. A month prior, an UNRWA staffer was discovered to be [in the] Hamas politburo,” said Sherman. “In 2023, dozens of UNRWA teachers and staff were revealed to regularly praise Hamas and Hitler on social media. Yet UNRWA claims these staff are not teaching a pro-terror curriculum.”

Sherman has a 10.5% rating on FRC Action’s Scorecard.

Yet most of the Democratic Party base has aligned with the Palestinian cause. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), a Palestinian-American, urged her state’s sizable Arab community to vote “uncommitted” in Tuesday’s Democratic primary as a protest against Biden’s rhetorical support for Israel. Although Biden won handily, “uncommitted” racked up 13% of the vote, more than 101,000 votes as of this writing — far beyond its sponsors’ goals.

Smith, who is Sherman’s pro-life counterpart on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, is a veteran pro-life congressman who has long tried to reform the U.N. Palestinian relief organization. In 2003, he passed an amendment through the House of Representatives stating the UNRWA has “funded schools that promote anti-Semitism, allowed its facilities to be used as warehouses for weapons, bomb-making factories, terrorist training,” and based its actions on “anti-Semitic textbooks.” But the amendment never became law.

Two decades later, the body has “deep and widespread ties with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad,” Perkins pointed out on Monday. Although the U.S. designates Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) as terrorist organizations, the United Nations — and UNRWA — do not.

Smith introduced the Stop Support for UNRWA Act of 2024 (H.R. 7122) to defund UNRWA. The one-page bill states simply, “The United States may not make any voluntary or involuntary contributions to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (referred to in this Act as ‘UNRWA’), to any successor or related entity, or to the regular budget of the United Nations for the support of UNRWA or a successor entity.” It passed the House Foreign Affairs Committee on February 6, 30-19. He offered an amendment saying the bill does not prohibit U.S. foreign aid to the region but believes it should be administered only by organizations the U.S. has vetted and found not to “promote violence, terrorism, or anti-Semitism” nor to employ those who “promote, espouse, or affiliate with such entities or individuals.”

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) has also introduced the Uncovering UNRWA’s Terrorist Crimes Act (H.R. 7202), which would account for UNRWA funding during the Biden administration and end all U.S. funding to UNRWA “directly or indirectly.”

Critics like Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho) say, “UNRWA is beyond redemption. Disbanding the organization is the only solution.”
