Hamas top dog Sinwar’s instructions for holding hostages included Qur’an quotes on the subject

Just in case you still weren’t convinced that this was an Islamic jihad, not a conflict over land that can be solved through negotiations.

“Now when you meet the unbelievers, strike the necks until, when you have subdued them, then make fast the bonds, and afterward either generosity or ransom until the war lays down its burdens. That, and if Allah willed, he could have punished them, but so that he may test some of you by means of others. And those who have been killed in the way of Allah, he does not make their actions useless.” (Qur’an 47:4)

“Sinwar’s instructions for holding the hostages revealed,” Israel National News, October 25, 2024:

The Palestinian Arab newspaper al-Quds published three documents in the handwriting of former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar which contain instructions regarding the guarding of the Israeli hostages, their distribution in each area, and the names of the hostages, including those who were released in the first deal last November.

The first document includes the instructions regarding the hostages and it states that the lives of the abductees must be preserved because “they are an important card” to free terrorists imprisoned in Israel. Sinwar included quotes from the Koran on the subject.

The second document included a statistical breakdown of the hostages in each area – men, women, soldiers, civilians, young people, people over sixty or under sixty. This document also specifies where Bedouin hostages were held….

Official Confirmation: Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar Is Dead; Killed Trying to Flee Gaza

By: Joel B. Pollak, Breitbart News, Oct 17,. 2024

Israel has officially confirmed that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is dead, killed in a chance encounter Wednesday with infantry and armored units of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

In a joint statement Thursday evening local time, titled “Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization who was responsible for planning and executing the October 7th Massacre, has been eliminated,” the IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA) declared:

The IDF and ISA confirm that after a year-long pursuit, yesterday (Wednesday), October 16, 2024, IDF soldiers from the Southern Command eliminated Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization, in an operation in the southern Gaza Strip. Yahya Sinwar planned and executed the October 7th Massacre, promoted his murderous ideology both before and during the war, and was responsible for the murder and abduction of many Israelis.

Yahya Sinwar was eliminated after hiding for the past year behind the civilian population of Gaza, both above and below ground in Hamas tunnels in the Gaza Strip. The dozens of operations carried out by the IDF and the ISA over the last year, and in recent weeks in the area where he was eliminated, restricted Yahya Sinwar’s operational movement as he was pursued by the forces and led to his elimination.

In recent weeks, IDF and ISA forces, under the command of the Southern Command, have been operating in the southern Gaza Strip, following IDF and ISA intelligence that indicated the suspected locations of senior members of Hamas. IDF soldiers of the 828th Brigade (Bislach) operating in the area identified and eliminated three terrorists. After completing the process of identifying the body, it can be confirmed that Yahya Sinwar was eliminated.

The IDF added on X (formerly Twitter):

As Breitbart News reported, the IDF suspected that Sinwar may have been inadvertently killed after soldiers directed tank fire at a building in which three terrorists had been spotted. Afterwards, infantry soldiers discovered, to their surprise, a body that resembled Sinwar.

The body was taken to Israel for further examination, including dental, DNA, and fingerprint verification. It is unclear how many of these checks were completed before Israeli officials concluded that the dead body was indeed Sinwar’s.

According to Israel’s Army Radio, Sinwar was found with passports on his body, as well as a quantity of cash. He was apparently trying to flee Gaza to Egypt, leaving Hamas and the Palestinian people behind as he attempted to escape.

Sinwar was once thought to have surrounded himself with hostages to prevent Israel from killing him in an airstrike. On Thursday it was revealed that those hostages were the ones executed in a tunnel in late August, including U.S. citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, as Israeli soldiers closed in. Sinwar had evidently been on the run ever since. His body was found next to those of senior Hamas commanders known to be close to him.

The Biden-Harris administration had, just days earlier, threatened Israel with an arms embargo unless it did more to “surge” aid into Gaza and trimmed its military operations there. Harris had also pushed for a ceasefire earlier in the war, even before the release of hostages had been achieved. Other nations, such as France, had called for an arms embargo to stop the war.

Sinwar was killed near the Philadelphi corridor in southern Gaza, on the Gaza-Egypt border, an area from which the Biden-Harris administration had been urging Israel to withdraw for a ceasefire deal.

Yahya Sinwar eliminated. He joins Hitler and many other Hamas terrorists in hell!

Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas is dead

U.N. Teacher’s Passport Found on Hamas Terrorist Mastermind Yahya Sinwar

By John Hayward

A passport belonging to a U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) teacher was found on the body of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was killed by Israeli ground forces in the Gaza city of Rafah on Thursday.

According to Nurit Yohanan, Palestinian affairs correspondent for Israeli public radio’s KAN News, the passport carried by Sinwar belongs to a UNRWA teacher and Rafah native named Hani Zourob who left for Egypt in April.

It was not immediately clear if the passport carried by Sinwar was a copy or a fake document.

Early reports in the chaotic moments after Sinwar’s death suggested the passport was carried by one of his bodyguards, and the bodyguard actually was Hani Zourob.

Yohana said she contacted Zourob and determined he is alive and well in Egypt. Sinwar’s bodyguards are neither alive nor well.

Chances are very high’: Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar killed in Gaza

While Sinwar’s death has not received final confirmation from the IDF, security officials have told Israeli media that the changes are “very high.”

JERUSALEM POST STAFF | OCTOBER 17, 2024

Security officials have said that the chances that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in a strike in Gaza are “increasingly higher,” Israeli media reported on Thursday.

The IDF and Shin Bet (ISA) put out a joint statement on the possible assassination earlier Thursday.

“Initial report – During IDF operations in the Gaza Strip, three terrorists were eliminated. The IDF and ISA are checking the possibility that one of the terrorists was Yahya Sinwar. At this stage, the identity of the terrorists cannot be confirmed,” the IDF said.

“In the building where the terrorists were eliminated, there were no signs of the presence of hostages in the area. The forces that are operating in the area are continuing to operate with the required caution.”

Sky News Arabia published a report shortly after, quoting a security official as saying that his death his confirmed.

Sinwar orchestrated the October 7 Massacre, which led to the deaths of over 1,200 people, including Israelis and other nationalities alike, and the taking of over 250 hostages, of which 101 remain in Gaza.

Of the 101 hostages, the IDF confirmed that 48 were killed in captivity.

Sinwar was widely believed to be hiding in Hamas tunnels throughout the Gaza Strip, never staying in one location for too long and avoiding communications technologies, relying on messengers.

Human shields

The Hamas terror chief was believed to be surrounded by the remaining hostages as a human shield, which has reportedly prevented the IDF from striking and killing him. Again, the IDF reiterated in their statement that no signs of hostages were present at the site of the strike.

Conflicting reports emerged of whether Sinwar had left the tunnels over the course of the Israel-Hamas War, and the IDF obtained footage of the Hamas chief walking through the tunnels in February of this year.

Several Hamas leaders have been eliminated by Israel, including Hamas political head Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in Tehran in July, and Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif, who was killed in the Gaza Strip also in July.

This is a developing story.

Hamas Wants Israel to Free 16,220 ‘Palestinian’ Prisoners For 64 Hostages

Hamas’ fourth demand is that Israel exchange 50 terrorists for every female IDF soldier and 30 for every civilian in the first stage, then 500 terrorists for every male soldier in the second.

Of the 64 hostages still believed to be alive (about 40 are believed to have been killed), about 30 are thought to be male soldiers, 10 are believed to be female soldiers, and 24 thought to be civilians. If Israel were to accept Hamas’ terms, it would mean freeing a total of 15,000 + 500 + 720, or 16,220 prisoners, thousands of them terrorists, and thousands of others deemed “security risks.” It’s an impossible number for Israel to agree to; it learned from the swap of 1,027 prisoners for Gilad Shalit that many of those freed prisoners went right back to committing acts of terrorism. Hamas military leader Ahmed Jabari has been quoted in the pan-Arab newspaper Al-Hayat as confirming that the prisoners released under the Shalit deal were collectively responsible for the killing of 569 Israelis. After what the Shalit trade led to, no Israeli government can possibly agree to setting free 16,220 prisoners, most of them terrorists and “security risks,” or even one-tenth that number.

The international media has still not published these Hamas demands. For if they did so, it would instantly become clear that not Prime Minister Netanyahu but Hamas is the one holding up a deal. And much of the world wants to be able to blame the “obstinate” Netanyahu who, we are constantly told, “is not interested in a deal.” More Hamas’ latest terms, of which few of us were aware, can be found here: “Sinwar’s useful idiots,” by Gadi Taub, JNS, September 8, 2024:

…One Telegram channel owner got tired of the media’s game. That person is, most probably, a former intelligence officer. He calls his channel, tongue in cheek, Abu Ali Express. But he is a serious professional and a reliable source of news from the Arab world, one many in Israel rely on. Over 400,000 Hebrew speakers subscribe to this channel. Abu Ali decided to run an opinion poll of his own. He first presented the Hamas terms for a deal, then asked his followers if they would have accepted it. 51,000 users responded in the space of two hours. Eighty-one percent said they would not accept such a deal, 10% said they would, 9% said they don’t know.Granted, this is not a representative sample, nor a proper survey. Still, it is indicative of something. And it gives you an idea about how the mainstream media is misleading you.

It’s not just Netanyahu who won’t accept the terms Hamas has proposed. It’s 81%, or four-fifths, of the Israelis who would not agree to such a deal. But you won’t hear about that in the mainstream media.

This public mood was also demonstrated by the collapse of last week’s (illegal) attempt at a general strike. The Histadrut (the umbrella organization of Israeli labor unions) declared it—under pressure from demonstration organizers insisting they are the sole legitimate representatives of the families of hostages—only to fold it all at 2 p.m. the next day following a labor court ruling. The Never-Bibi activists found they don’t really have enough troops….

It now seems that the protesters’ attempt to harness the tragedy of the six hostages for their permanent political project may have just backfired. More people now see them more clearly as Sinwar’s useful idiots….

The general strike fizzled quickly. It turns out that the anti-Netanyahu protesters are far fewer than they, or we, have been led to believe. Many more Israelis now understand what Yahya Sinwar has been trying to do: to harness their grief and rage over the continued plight of the hostages so that they will pressure Netanyahu to agree to Hamas’ outrageous demands. It’s not going to happen.

Four-fifths of Israelis agree with Netanyahu in rejecting the latest demands of Hamas, that if they were agreed to would leave the terror group standing, still able to regroup, and celebrated by Arabs everywhere for their supposed “victory over the Zionist entity,” with thousands of just-freed terrorists ready to be recruited. Netanyahu will not agree to those terms, not now, and not ever, even if Kamala Harris becomes president and turns the screws on America’s most loyal ally, still fighting, as it must, what has now become a seven-front war against those who would destroy it.

REPORT: Hamas’ leader Sinwar Has Surrounded Himself with 22 Handcuffed Hostages

The definition of evil.

Hamas leader Sinwar, surrounded by 22 ‘handcuffed hostages’

Intelligence sources told the Jewish Chronicle that Israel has had several opportunities to eliminate Hamas terrorist after locating his hiding tunnels. However, these attacks were not authorized due to the danger posed to the hostages.

By ILH Staff, Israel Hayom, August 28, 2024;

The Jewish Chronicle reports that out of the 108 hostages believed to be still held in Gaza, only about 20 are alive and under Hamas’s control. These captives are reportedly being used to surround Sinwar, providing protection for the Hamas leader who remains in hiding underground.

Intelligence sources told the Jewish Chronicle that Israel has had several opportunities to eliminate Sinwar after locating his hiding tunnels. However, these attacks were not authorized due to the danger posed to the hostages.

The remaining captives, both living and dead, are believed to be in the hands of smaller terror groups, including the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Mujahideen Brigades, the al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades, and the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades. These groups have reportedly cut off contact with Sinwar and are rebelling against his instructions.

Security sources cited by the Jewish Chronicle suggest that these smaller groups have been planning a coup for months due to disagreements with Sinwar over the identity and numbers of Palestinian prisoners to be released in any hostage deal. While Sinwar prioritizes the release of Hamas prisoners, these organizations demand representation for prisoners from their own ranks. The smaller groups are also taking a harder line in negotiations, insisting on the release of all terrorists from Israeli jails, including 1,236 convicted murderers serving life sentences. They also oppose Israel’s proposal to deport released prisoners from Gaza and the West Bank.

These internal Palestinian frictions have reportedly been a significant obstacle in reaching a hostage deal. The situation is further complicated by Sinwar’s reliance on the captives for his own safety. The Hamas leader, in hiding since October 7, has reportedly surrounded himself with 22 living, handcuffed hostages, using them as protection against potential elimination by Israel.

Sinwar’s main demands include ending the war, the withdrawal of the IDF from the entire Gaza Strip, and American guarantees that Israel will not continue the war after a hostage deal is completed. He is also seeking assurances that he will not be eliminated once the hostages in his possession are released.

Another point of contention in recent talks is the Philadelphi Corridor, a narrow strip of land between Gaza and Egypt used for smuggling. Hamas seeks control of this area to restore its military power, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opposes this, even at the risk of derailing a potential deal. Talks in Cairo have resumed, but a breakthrough remains elusive. Israeli sources believe Sinwar may be stalling, hoping for a wider regional war that would divert the IDF’s attention from Gaza.

Meanwhile, Hamas is reportedly encouraging terrorist activity in the West Bank to further burden the Israeli army. Zaher Jabarin, a former prisoner released in the 2011 Gilad Shalit exchange, has been tasked with activating terrorists in the area, according to intelligence sources who spoke with the JC. Jabarin, currently operating from Turkey, is considered Hamas’s top financier and is believed to be transferring large amounts of funds received from Iran to fuel terror in the West Bank.

In Hamas, They Don’t Yet Realize it, But ‘It’s Over For Them’

In Hamas, they don’t as yet realize it, but “it’s over for them.” The IDF is moving steadily, relentlessly, to smash what Defense Minister Yoav Gallant describes as “the biggest terror base” in the world. Israel will not allow Hamas to regroup through a “ceasefire.” It will not submit to pressure from anyone — not the UN, not the Pope, not Vladimir Putin, not Ayatollah Khamenei, not Rashida Tlaib or Linda Sarsour or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. What it has already accomplished is staggering.

Yaakov Lappin gives a detailed summary of the first month’s achievements here:

Gallant: Hamas head Sinwar hiding in bunker, disconnected

by Yaakov Lappin, JNS, November 7, 2023:

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said in a televised address to the nation on Tuesday that “Gaza is the biggest terror base built by man.”

The whole of Gaza is a terrorism base,” Gallant added, noting that Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar is hiding in his bunker, “out of touch with his surroundings.”

There will be no humanitarian pauses for Gaza before Israelis held hostage are returned, the minister vowed.

The Israel Defense Forces is operating against Hamas in the heart of Gaza City for the first time in decades, IDF Southern Command chief Maj. Gen. Yaron Finkelman said on Tuesday….

Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, IDF spokesman, reiterated on Tuesday night that there would be no ceasefire, as the military presses on with its ground offensive.

Hamas terrorists tell themselves that there will be a truce. There won’t be one. We are moving forward,” Hagari said. He added that the IDF has struck more than 14,000 targets in Gaza, destroyed more than 100 tunnel entrances and captured 4,000 weapons….

The IDF seized 375 automatic rifles in recent days in Gaza, some with grenade launchers, 43 heavy machine guns, 1,493 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and grenades, 427 bomb belts, 760 rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), 360 cartridges, 98 rockets, five anti-aircraft missiles, three anti-tank missiles, computers, phones and 167 maps, according to Hecht.

Discussing humanitarian efforts, Hecht said the Salah Al-Din route, which goes to the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, was open on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a temporary closure at 11 a.m. due to Hamas firing near the road. It subsequently reopened.

These efforts serve the IDF’s goal of dismantling Hamas by moving civilians south, bringing in humanitarian assistance and focusing on closing in on Hamas in Gaza City….

Col. (res.) Itamar Yaar, former deputy head of the National Security Council and director of commanders for Israel’s security, told journalists on a Tuesday call that the Israeli war effort has been mostly in line with plans drawn up after the Oct. 7 attacks.

Israel updated and adapted existent plans after Oct. 7, with two weeks of preparation and massive air strikes and special forces raids, he said.

The past two weeks “are going according to the plans and the IDF achieved most of it expected to achieve in this period of time,” Yaar added. “It means the IDF is not in a real hurry. The plans mean that they go step by step, and use operational field intelligence, information that they get from software and hardware that they find in the tunnels, buildings.” He added that they also use information from captured Hamas terrorists.

“The IDF is destroying every building and site that it sees fire coming from—at ground forces, aircraft and rockets and missiles,” Yaar said. Ground forces are also demolishing buildings that they have identified as containing threats.

Bulldozers are highly active as part of this operation—lessons learned from the First Lebanon War in 1982, Yaar said. “This also causes tunnels to collapse and much of what is underground collapsing through the use of bulldozers.”

Hamas terrorists have yet to understand that it’s “over for them, and it’s only a matter of time until they’re dead,” he added. “There are still people in Gaza City that you need to fight one by one or capture them.”…

That’s a lot to have accomplished in roughly the last two weeks. And now we learn that the head of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, is sitting in a bunker, surrounded by IDF soldiers, and all of his communications with the outside world have now been cut off. He is no doubt wondering if the end is nigh. He won’t, of course, be taken alive. His death will be a colossal blow to Hamas, that is already reeling from an assault of such ferocity that it never imagined could happen.
