PARODY: A. Yair Golan, ‘The State of Israel Kills Babies in Gaza as a Hobby’

1. The whole world heard the retired general Yair Golan say the following: “A sane country does not wage war against civilians, does not kill babies as a hobby, and does not aim to expel a civilian population.” Yair Golan was the Deputy Chief of Staff and knows what he’s talking about. He’s not inventing things from a fevered imagination. He knows that Israeli soldiers, under orders from their government, are killing babies in Gaza as a hobby. This statement by Yair Golan was broadcast on television stations around the world and opened news broadcasts, especially in Arab and Muslim countries. It is reasonable to assume that in the next hundred years, these words will be published and republished as truth, and people will believe a man who does not lie – he knows what he is talking about.

2. Yair Golan surely based this on a protocol from a government meeting on this subject. According to this protocol, the following was said:

A) Prime Minister Bibi: “We are embarking on a difficult war to eliminate Hamas in Gaza and free the hostages, but I have a special request of the Chief of Staff, General Eyal Zamir. As is known, I have a hobby of killing Muslim babies, and I ask you, Chief of Staff, to issue appropriate orders to the soldiers in the field to eliminate the maximum number of Muslim babies and children.”

B) Minister Smotrich: “Killing Christian and Muslim babies is an ancient tradition of our people. For thousands of years, we have murdered babies to use their blood in baking Passover matzos.”

C) Minister Ben Gvir: “As far as I know, it’s not a tradition but a law given to Moses at Sinai – to slaughter Christian and Muslim babies and use their blood in baking matzos.”

D) Minister Goldknopf: “As is known, the Chief Rabbinate does not certify Passover matzos without a certain amount of Christian or Muslim baby blood. But we, the ultra-Orthodox, who demand only the strictest certification, insist on double the amount of children’s blood in the matzos. Therefore, we need a larger share than the Chief Rabbinate certification bodies receive.”

E) Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir: “I will do everything I can to bring in the maximum number of babies and children to meet the kosher needs of all the people of Israel. I wish a kosher and happy Passover to all the people of Israel in the country and the diaspora.”

F) The Prime Minister concludes the discussion: “It is a great privilege for our government to combine hobby with tradition and fulfill the commandment of making matzos properly. Blessed are we to bake matzos with the blood of Muslim children.”

3. If this weren’t so sad, it would be funny — but it’s not funny at all. One should expect a wave of antisemitism following the irresponsible words of General Yair Golan. The whole world cannot help but believe him, and as the Sages said: “A litigant’s admission is as good as a hundred witnesses.” This is a Deputy Chief of Staff who knows what goes on in the Israeli army. The whole world, for the next hundred years, will believe him and quote his words. The first expression of the consequences of his statements was seen in the murder of two Israeli embassy staff in Washington. Much more Jewish blood will be shed around the world, and the murderers will cite the vile, false, and deceitful words of Yair Golan.

4. I can understand that Yair Golan’s mind may have become unbalanced, but I cannot understand how still about a million citizens see him as their leader and plan to vote for him. Have a million people lost their minds? Is this a contagious disease?
