Islamic State calls son of Gold Star Father who spoke at the DNC an ‘apostate’

Issue 15 of the Islamic State’s Dabiq magazine titled, “Break the Cross” features a picture of the grave stone of U.S. Army Captain Humayun Saqib Muazzan Kahn. The caption under the photo reads,

“Beware of dying as an apostate.”

Page 26-29 of Dabiq Issue 15 has an article titled “Words of Sincere Advice From an American Convert in the Islamic State To The Former Christian Who Accepted Islam“. Captain Kahn’s grave stone appears in this article. The American Convert in the Islamic State writes:

Now that you have found the truth of your Lord and abandoned the misguided paths of Satan, beware of the widespread disease of riddah (apostasy). Would you so quickly be ungrateful of Allah’s guidance by retreating to deviance, even if under the mere guise 26 ARTICLE 27 of Islam? “Verily those who committed riddah [apostasy], going back after the guidance had become clear to them, it is Satan who tempted them” (Muhammad 25). “And whoever of you commits riddah [apostasy] from his religion, then dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds are void in this life and the next, and such are the companions of the Fire, forever therein” (Al-Baqarah 217).

You may be in the lion’s den, but know that the real lion is the mujahid who overcomes all mortal fears and lashes out at the disbelief around him. Allah c said, “That is Satan who causes his allies to fear, so do not fear them, but fear Me, if you are believers” (Al ‘Imran 175). Indeed, you are plunged directly in the midst of the enemy, a position envied by the boldest of mujahidin.

As for a final word of advice to you regarding your operation, do not make intricate plans, but instead, keep it simple and effective. If you can obtain a weapon, do so and use it, as soon as possible and in a place that will cause the most damage and panic, bringing death and injury to the enemy of Allah, the disbelievers. Just as they terrify the Muslims in the lands of Islam, so should you terrify the disbelievers in their homelands. But unlike them, your terror shall be just, an equitable response to their crimes against Islam and the Muslim nation. [Emphasis added]

What is interesting is two Muslim soldiers have killed more American soldiers than Islamists have killed Muslim-American soldiers:

The Religion of Peace asks: Does Islam allow freedom of religion or does it threaten the death penalty for apostasy?

ANSWER: Those who turn their back on Islam are to be executed. This is confirmed by the words and deeds of Muhammad. The only freedom of belief in Islam is the freedom to become Muslim.

Quran (4:89) – “They wish that you should reject faith as they reject faith, and then you would be equal; therefore take not to yourselves friends of them, until they emigrate in the way of God; then, if they turn their backs, take them, and slay them wherever you find them; take not to yourselves any one of them as friend or helper.”  Verse 4:65 says that those who have faith are in“full submission” to Muhammad’s teachings.  This verse explains what should happen to Muslims who do not have faith.

REUTERS reports:

Islamic State on Sunday condemned as an “apostate” a U.S. Muslim soldier killed in Iraq whose story has re-ignited debate in the 2016 presidential election on the role of Muslims in American life.

Dabiq, the militant group’s online magazine, showed a picture of U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan’s tombstone in Arlington National Cemetery with a caption, “Beware of Dying as an apostate.”

An accompanying article, penned by an unnamed “American convert in the Islamic State,” urged Muslims to resist Western influences and to either migrate to Islamic State-controlled lands or carry out lone attacks.

“Reject these calls to disunity and come together. Live the life of Islam, for which you have already left the path of falsehood,” the militant wrote.

“You are behind enemy lines, able to strike them where it hurts them most,” the article added.

Khizr Khan in an interview with CNN’s Jim Acosta stated:

In addition to this, there was in the speech that my good wife asked me to refrain from saying, I wanted to say we reject all violence. We are faithful, patriotic, undivided loyalty to this country. We reject all terrorism. She asked me not to say that because that was not the occasion for such a statement. We say to his ignorance, I address his ignorance, that the dirt effect, the most effect of the menace of terrorism have been Muslims in the world, Muslims hate this menace of terrorism as much as any other place. It is our duty to keep this country, our country, beautiful country, safe. We have always thought of [it] that way, we will continue to do our part to keep it safe and beautiful. What he cites in the name of Islam, and all that — that is not Islam at all! I wish he would have, somebody would have put something in his head that these are terrorists, these are criminals, these folks have nothing to do with Islam.

It appears the Islamic State differs with Gold Star father Khizr Khan.
