Homosexuality clearly a factor in Catholic priest abuse of little boys
NEW YORK, New York /LifeSiteNews.com – A leading authority on the clerical sex abuse crisis has criticized those who conclude that new data has ruled out homosexuality as a significant cause in the scandal – even though the vast majority of priest abuse was perpetrated against adolescent males.
Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons, a top psychiatrist and expert in handling sexually abusive priests, says criminologists “crossed a line” by pronouncing on the psychological causes behind the data released May 18.
“Analysis of the research demonstrates clearly that the major cause of the crisis was the homosexual abuse of males,” said Fitzgibbons in an interview with the Catholic News Agency.
The new study, conducted by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and commissioned by the U.S. Bishops, shows that nearly 80 percent of victims were post-pubescent and adolescent males. However, the study concludes that available data “do not support the hypothesis that priests with a homosexual identity … are significantly more likely to sexually abuse.”
The report marks the third such effort by U.S. Bishops to address the causes and manifestations of the clerical sex abuse scandal since it first erupted publicly in 2002.
The data also shows that less than 5 percent of abuse involved prepubescent children, contravening rumor that the scandal largely manifested as acts of pedophilia. But homosexuality, according to Fitzgibbons, was clearly the primary sexual aberration driving the bulk of abuse.
“One can conclude that these priests have strong same-sex attraction,” said Fitzgibbons. “When an adult is involved with homosexual behavior with an adolescent male, he clearly has a major problem in the area of homosexuality.”
The psychologist said that, while the college has done good work collecting data, criminologists “lack the professional expertise to comment on causes of sexual abuse.”
“If the (U.S. bishops) conference wanted an analysis of the causes of complex sexual behavior with adolescents, don’t turn to criminologists,” said Fitzgibbons. “They are not trained to understand those causes – that training is given to mental health professionals.”

Of course it is! That’s the way it is: homosexuality is closely related to pedophilia. There is NOTHING special about it in ANY people group – schools, workplaces, neighborhood, etc.
So why is this breaking news?
“Breaking” news about homosexuality, child abuse in Catholic Church is nothing else then a war against the only Christian religious institution that can stand against Islamization, Marxism and ANY other inhuman ideology. Islamist and Marxist ideologists along with useful “intellectual” idiots attack Catholic Church whenever and however they can.
I can understand why Islamists and Marxists do it, but for so the rest attacking a 1,2+ billion conservative Christian institution with a two thousand year background is like cutting off the branch of the tree they’re sitting on.
First of all, Christianity in general and Catholicism particularly is strongly against homosexuality and other sexual perversions.
Secondly, the scale of homosexuality and child abuse among Catholic priesthood is minimal yet it receives huge media coverage.
In going after the pope like this the mainstream media swallows the camel to strain a gnat as it ignores 99% of sex-abuse and coverup in the public schools to go after less than 1% in the Catholic Church, which happens to be less than what exists in other religious institutions.
In 2013 The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) obtained figures under the Freedom of Information Act which showed there are 29,837 registered sex offenders who have committed crimes against children. As a percentage of these, Catholic priests make up just over 0.1%.
So, from what we have seen so far, the data seems to point to a conclusion which flies in the face of the amount of media coverage that the abuse in the Catholic Church has received.

I am a Catholic. The issue is that the media has failed to connect the abuse of boys in the Catholic Church with homosexual priests.
The Catholic Church made a huge mistake admitting homosexuals into the priesthood. Not only have these priests failed in their sacred vow to God to be faithful to the scriptures but they have also violated their marriage to God by sexually abusing little boys.
This is the first time an expert has connected the homosexual dots.
Time for the Catholic Church and Pope Francis to take the lead and purge the Church of this evil. Unless and until that is done the child abuses will continue.
