CANCEL CULTURE: New York City Council votes to remove statue of Teddy Roosevelt

The cancel culture has claimed yet another victim and his name is Teddy Roosevelt. The New York City Council endorsed the American Museum of Natural History in New York’s decision to remove the iconic Roosevelt statue. [H/T/ to TL]

On December 25th, 2021 in a Citizen Free Press column titled “Teddy Roosevelt statue removed…”  Kane reported:

Teddy Roosevelt was police commissioner of New York City, Governor of New York and founded the museum where the statue stood. It is a custom to offer a blindfold to prisoners facing a firing squad. Just so, the authorities covered the statue of Teddy Roosevelt that has stood in front of the American Museum of Natural History before it is carted off to its new home in North Dakota.

Theodore Roosevelt, one of the original America First presidents, has become the latest victim of the radical left’s ignorant drive to purge the country of its rich and complex past. Roosevelt, who was the first U.S. president to host a black man at the White House – celebrated author Booker T. Washington – is being cast out of ‘polite’ New York society by the American Museum of Natural History.

The president’s famous statue, featured in such films as a Night at the Museum, is being ignominiously shrouded and shipped to North Dakota for the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. The New York City Council earlier voted unanimously for the museum to remove the statue.

It appears no good American’s deed goes unpunished by the Cancel Culture.

New York City and it’s American Museum of Natural History have gone woke.

We suggest that the American Museum of Natural History change its name to the Un-American Museum of Eliminating History.
