BREAKING: Gantz urges political unity against bad Iran agreement
This is a strong sign on how shocked Israelis are from what has been revealed about the MOU to be signed between U.S. and Iran.
Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz expressed deep concern over the emerging agreement with Iran, warning that it could endanger Israel’s security and undermine the objectives previously set by Israel and the United States.
“I have not a shred of joy at the agreement, only great concern,” Gantz told his faction meeting.
He called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to enlist every relevant political and diplomatic voice—including members of the opposition—in a united campaign against what he described as a dangerous agreement.
“I call on Netanyahu to seek help from every relevant party, including opposition members, to stand against a bad agreement and to speak about it to the world,” Gantz said.
His remarks signal that opposition figures may be prepared to temporarily put domestic political disputes aside in order to present a united Israeli position against an agreement that fails to dismantle Iran’s nuclear capabilities, ballistic missile program and terrorist proxy network.
