Dear President Donald J. Trump

The late President Reagan played a crucial role in dismantling the scourge of Soviet communism, while you, Mr. President, are committed to consigning the standard bearers of Islamic terrorism to their well-deserved demise.

Mr. President, you have repeatedly pointed out that appeasing tyrants invariably fails to satisfy them and only whets their appetite. The previous administration’s misguided appeasement policy has indeed emboldened the Islamic Republic in its reckless behavior, which has accelerated its desire to acquire the nuclear bomb.

Mr. President, we deeply love our country of birth and the nation that has given us a home in freedom. Hundreds of thousands of Iranian-Americans feel the same way. We wish to express our undying gratitude to you for choosing the difficult path of unavoidable confrontation with the Islamists rather than opting for the deadly route of appeasement, which invariably fails. Absolutely no deal with the Islamist mass murderers.

Mr. President, many people believe that Pahlavi’s ambition is to revive the Monarchy in Iran. Nothing could be further from the truth. He has often asserted that his first and only goal is to free Iran from the hands of vicious mass killers, the Mullahs, and their cronies. He has no ulterior motive other than doing what he can to help his countrymen in Iran, and his willingness to become the catalyst to dislodge the current brutal regime.

He has advocated a referendum for people to decide what type of government they desire. “Iranians are the ones who decide their destiny and the future form of their government in a free and democratic referendum.”

During widespread demonstrations across Iran in December and January, many protesters chanted slogans supporting Prince Reza Pahlavi.

Prince Pahlavi was only 17 years old when the Islamic Revolution occurred. A young and only heir to the crown of the Pahlavi Dynasty. “I left the day after my high school graduation with a couple of suitcases,” Pahlavi recalls, “not at all able to imagine this would be the last day I would be in my homeland.”

The U.S. government and Europeans must stand shoulder to shoulder with the Iranian people to end the Islamic nightmare that has cast a cloud of terror over the past forty-seven years. This is a momentous era. At this critical time in our history, we must stand with the freedom-loving people of Iran and the leadership of Prince Reza Pahlavi.

The people of Iran have already made up their minds. You should, too.
