‘A Self-Feeding Circle’: How A Web Of NGOs Enabled By Biden-Harris Is Fueling The Migrant Crisis

A web of NGOs is collaborating with government agencies to facilitate the resettlement of refugees – and Biden-Harris policies have only exacerbated the migrant crisis, sources told the Caller.

Immigration was thrust into the public spotlight as towns in America were overwhelmed with migrants, from Springfield, Ohio to Aurora, Colorado. Bureaucracies and non-profits often work in tandem to resettle refugees, and NGOs have only grown in influence under the Biden-Harris administration, experts said.

“It’s undeniable that the Biden Administration’s border policy has benefited the network of immigration NGOs that receive massive government contracts and grants to deal with the logistical and humanitarian problems that mass illegal immigration has caused,” the Capital Research Center’s Parker Thayer told the Caller in a statement.

While it’s difficult to quantify precisely how much NGOs have benefited, Thayer pointed to a USA Spending database. It shows that since 2020, federal spending on loans, grants, and contracts with the keyword “immigrant” has skyrocketed by almost tenfold.

Kevin Lynn, Executive Director of the Institute for Sound Public Policy, told the Caller there is a process in place for resettling refugees, and NGOs work with government agencies to further that goal.

He pointed to the Biden-Harris administration’s Welcome Corps.

The Welcome Corps is a refugee sponsorship program where “groups of at least five people” can sponsor a refugee, according to the initiative’s site. The State Department’s Office of the Spokesperson claimed last year the program “is the boldest innovation in refugee resettlement in four decades.”

“Welcome Corps was launched the Biden administration under the refugee resettlement program, and it basically allows private individuals to select their own refugees and future American citizens,” Lynn told the Caller.

The program’s partners include the Department of State and its Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM). It also partnered with the Church World Service (CWS) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, which transformed the city into the “refugee capital of the world,” according to Lynn.

The city’s website denotes itself as “America’s refugee capital” and explains that it assists in resettling refugees.

A fact sheet from the U.S. Department of Housing and Development for landlords and property managers states the federal government collaborates with 10 resettlement agencies that have over 340 affiliates nationwide. The documents list various financial assistance and support that refugees receive, including employment services.

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services has an agency called the Administration for Children & Families, and under its purview is the Office of Refugee Resettlement which partners with nonprofits in states that participate in the U.S. Refugee Resettlement Program. The only state not listed is Wyoming.

In fact, the site even has a tool for people to locate various refugee resettlement NGOs in their area.

Rather than trying to figure out how to stop the administration from resettling more aliens in OH, perhaps OH should consider reducing the incentives for them to come. Here’s a starting point:

Thayer noted many of these NGOs would not exist without government support. “It’s hard to call them grassroots,” he told the Caller.

He pointed to The Vera Institute for Justice as an example of governments funneling taxpayer dollars into nonprofits.

The Institute gets millions in federal dollars to represent illegal immigrants in immigration court while it pushes for soft-on-crime and open borders polices that lead to larger government contracts, Thayer said.

“It’s a self-feeding circle,” he concluded.

Over the last 40 years, the corporatocracy has created massive networks supported by business, NGOs and governments at the federal, state and local levels to prioritize the hiring of both legal and illegal immigrants over Americans.

One group listed on HHS’s site is Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio, a non-profit that partners with the State Department for Refugee Resettlement. According to a 2023 audit of the group’s finances, one of its main sources of revenue is grants and fees from the government, to the tune of several million dollars.

A facility in Springfield opened up earlier this year to assist with immigration services, and it’s directed by Catholic Charities Southwest Ohio, the Springfield News-Sun reported. CEO Tony Stieritz said the organization has been giving aid in the city for over a year, according to the outlet.

However, the organization states on its website that it “had no role in bringing migrants to the Springfield area,” and it does not provide “resettlement services in Springfield.”

The national organization Catholic Charities recently came under fire on social media after reports showed the Galveston, Texas, chapter substantially increased its revenue under the Biden Administration.

Illegal immigration to the U.S. has accelerated rapidly under Biden.

The Biden-Harris administration is attempting to make open borders “a part of the infrastructure,” according to Chris Chmielenski, President of the Immigration Accountability Project.

“And just to be clear, all of these people are technically in the country illegally, because they’ve been paroled by the administration,” he emphasized.

Kevin Lynn pointed to Biden’s CBP One app, arguing that it expedites illegal immigration. “They’re granting these blanket paroles, where the whole intention of parole was to be determined on a case-by-case basis.”

He explained the initial intent of parole was to grant travelers temporary status if they needed to come to the U.S. for a specific reason, such as for an emergency medical procedure.

The app was originally created during COVID-19 in Oct. 2020 to reduce the amount of time that travelers spent in person with CBP officers to schedule appointments, according to the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS).

Now, the Biden-Harris administration uses it to allow people without the necessary documentation to enter into the U.S. interior, according to CIS. The app allows migrants to make appointments in Central America and Mexico, which CIS argues incentivizes illegal immigrants to use smugglers.

There is another parole process specifically for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans, Lynn told the Caller. A person in the U.S. can sponsor someone from these nations – but the sponsor doesn’t have to be an American citizen, according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

The agency’s definition of a supporter includes “asylees, refugees, and parolees” along with Temporary Protected Status (TPS) individuals. In June, the Biden administration granted TPS for 300,000 Haitians.

“Now these refugees parolees can sponsor people, people who are here on temporary protected status,” Lynn said.

Chmielenski told the Caller that NGOs are facilitating the resettlement process for migrants. “They’re helping [migrants] go through the process of applying for their work permit,” he stated, adding they could be eligible for public benefits.

“Essentially, the administration is having the NGOs do their dirty work for them,” Chmielenski said.

Kamala’s ‘Jew Ban’

Against a “Muslim Ban,” for a “Jew Ban.”

“On Holocaust Memorial Day, Trump restricted refugees from Muslim-majority countries. Make no mistake — this is a Muslim ban,” Kamala Harris angrily tweeted in 2017.

This year the Biden-Harris administration implemented a ‘Jew Ban’ less than a week after Holocaust Memorial Day and after the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

Unlike the Muslim Ban, the Biden-Harris ‘Jew Ban’ had nothing to do with immigration security. It was buried in Biden’s innocuously named ‘Executive Order 14115 – Imposing Certain Sanctions on Persons Undermining Peace, Security, and Stability in the West Bank.”

Who was sanctioned for undermining peace, security, and stability in the West Bank?

The PLO’s ‘Palestinian Authority’ has conducted unity negotiations with Hamas under the auspices of Russia and the CCP in Beijing and Moscow. It promotes and funds Islamic terrorism against Jews through its propaganda outlets, terror groups and its ‘Pay to Slay’ policy. Despite that the Biden-Harris administration has poured hundreds of millions of dollars into its territories.

The administration allows organizations like Samidoun which were named as terror front groups by Israel to operate through tax-exempt nonprofits in the United States. Radical groups like the International Solidarity Movement and Torat Tzedek which have been involved in local clashes and violence, some deadly, received money from tax-exempt charities like the New Israel Fund and the Middle East Children’s Alliance with no interference from the Biden-Harris government.

Instead the individuals targeted under Executive Order 14115 during its inception had two things in common: they were pro-Israel and Jewish. Starting in March, the Biden-Harris administration has rolled out sanctions on Jewish Israeli farmers, ranchers, bakers and housewives at the same time as Brazilian drug dealers, Chinese fentanyl manufacturers and Russian oligarchs.

The baffling list of Jews sanctioned by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris included the proprietors of a goat farm who sell cheese, a baker who shot an Islamic terrorist in 2016 and a mother of 8 who worked with survivors of sexual assault and led protests against aid to Hamas.

The ‘Jew Ban’ was so badly implemented that it shut down the bank accounts and credit cards of a man with a similar name to an activist protesting the Biden-Kamala Hamas aid trucks.

A week ahead of Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Biden-Harris administration then announced a secondary wave of sanctions against Jewish groups that had fundraised for the victims of the regime’s first wave of sanctions in its ‘Jew Ban’. Opposing the ‘Jew Ban’ was enough to get one sanctioned under the ‘Jew Ban’ for ‘undermining peace’.

A month before, a ‘Palestinian Authority’ security officer had opened fire on a Jewish school bus. The PA will not only continue paying his salary but it celebrated the attack.

The Palestinian Authority’s media boasted of “more than 2,750 acts of resistance against the occupation that have led to the killing of 12 Israelis”, “159 shooting operations” including the murder of two Jewish brothers stuck in traffic which it described as “continuing the path and keeping its spark burning will be carried out by blasting bullets into heads.”

The Biden-Harris administration did not believe this qualified as undermining peace. Not only did it leverage no sanctions on those responsible, but continued its diplomatic support for the PLO.

It was not until June that Arin Al-Usud, an Islamic terrorist group tied to Hamas and Islamic Jihad, that the PLO saw as a rival group was finally sanctioned. The use of the EO 14115 sanctions on a terrorist group instead of the appropriate Foreign Terrorist Organization designation that would treat support for terrorism as a serious crime classed Israeli civilians with terrorists and seemed largely aimed at trying to make the ‘Jew Ban’ look more ‘diverse’.

In August, the Biden-Harris ‘Jew Ban’ rolled on with the addition of Yitzhak Levi Filant: the security coordinator for an Israeli village that has frequently come under attack by Islamic terrorists. Security coordinators were the front line of defense during the Islamic terrorist attacks of Oct 7 and a good one can make the difference between massacre and a dead terrorist.

The Biden-Harris had already amply made clear which of these was its preferred outcome.

Since the onset of the ‘Jew Ban’, 8 Jewish men and women have been sanctioned by the the Biden-Harris administration along with 2 Jewish farms and 4 nonprofit groups.

And only one Islamic terror group.

100% of the individuals and 85% of the organizations sanctioned under the Biden-Harris ‘Jew Ban’ are Jewish.

Jerome Marcus, the president of the Deborah Project, called it “An Executive Order That Targets Jews” in an article at the Jewish Journal, asking, “Should U.S. Presidents be able to freeze your bank account if they disagree with your views on foreign policy, or if anti-Israel groups ask them to?” he asked. “Their internet and email are canceled,  they have no access to their credit cards and thus can’t pay for basics like insurance and daily life activities. Their life is essentially unraveled. And once they’re sanctioned, they can’t hire a lawyer to defend them.”

A lawsuit filed by Marcus, Eugene Kontorovich of the George Mason University Scalia Law School and other attorneys on behalf of Texans for Israel and American Jews living in Israel challenged the constitutionality of Biden’s ‘Jew Ban’ who fear losing their bank accounts and livelihoods if they defend themselves against Muslim violence.

“The White House is putting the lives of American Jews living in the West Bank at risk and denying them the Fifth Amendment’s guarantee of equal protection under the laws,” Kontorovich warned in a Wall Street Journal op-ed.

The lawsuit noted that the Biden-Harris administration has made it “clear that it considers the mere act of Jews residing in or making pilgrimage to sites in the West Bank as an obstacle to peace.’ In fact, the Administration has even called visits of Jews to their holy sites ‘provocative.’”

And who in the Biden-Harris administration is behind the ‘Jew Ban’?

Michael Doran, the Director of the Center for Peace and Security in the Middle East, described a shadowy “interagency team of targeteers”  led by the International Economics Directorate at the National Security Council. Doran named Ilan Goldenberg, Kamala’s former pro-terrorist Middle East advisor and her current ‘liaison’ to U.S. Jews  as playing “a very enthusiastic role”.

Kamala’s close advisor who helped set her anti-Israel policy had previously advocated for a deal in which “Hamas would retain some of its military capabilities” and argued that “half the root causes are Israeli actions, in terms of — especially just focusing on Gaza, on the blockade. And the other half is Hamas’ choice to use violence and arm itself in response.”

The ‘Jew Ban’ is not just coming out of the Biden-Harris administration, but one of Kamala’s close advisors who represents her to the Jewish community appears to be its capo.

Kamala had campaigned against a Muslim ban in the name of “Holocaust Memorial Day” and “Anne Frank” only to then come to power and implement a ‘Jew Ban’ around Holocaust Memorial Day. The ‘Jew Ban’ is everything that Kamala accused the Muslim Ban of, but wasn’t, it’s shameful, unconstitutional and un-American. It’s also a foreshadowing of things to come.

Irangate: Iran’s Plan to Stop Trump and Elect Kamala

Unlike Russiagate, Irangate is real and has roots in the White House.

In the last two months, Iran set up fake news sites to defame Trump and promote Kamala, hacked the Trump campaign and tried to pass stolen documents to the Harris-Walz campaign and its media allies, and finally plotted to assassinate former President Trump and his officials.

These rather definite statements of Iran’s intentions in the presidential election have been dismissed with generic Russiagate buzzwords that describe the Islamic terrorist state as being out to “destabilize and sow chaos”. When Iran hacked the Trump campaign, we were told that it was to “sow chaos” and now that Trump has been briefed on the assassination threats, once again it’s been described as a plot to “destabilize and sow chaos” in the United States.

But if Iran is out to only “sow chaos,” then why isn’t it trying to assassinate Biden or Kamala?

Where are the Iranian agents soliciting useful idiots to take a shot at current administration officials rather than former Trump administration officials? And why didn’t Iran hack into the Kamala campaign and then email the stolen files to the Trump-Vance campaign?

Iran isn’t trying to “sow chaos” which is a meaningless buzzword the intel community seem to have come up with to project its own nation building paradigm abroad onto American politics.

The Islamic Republic is out to win. And it defines winning as Trump’s political defeat or death.

America’s leading middle eastern enemy actively interfering in a presidential election ought to be bigger news than it is. The Clinton campaign spun Russia’s awkward efforts to recruit black nationalists into backing its Syria agenda after the election into the great Russiagate hoax complete with British ex-secret agents, micturating hookers in Moscow hotel rooms, secret bank internet connections and a multi-year investigation fronted by a senile former FBI boss.

The revelation that Iran is trying to stop Trump and elect Kamala by any means occasions no more from the White House and the intel community than a reluctant briefing and some boilerplate prose about sowing chaos as if there is no motive or agenda to these activities.

No one has brought ‘Irangate’ into being even though there’s more than enough materials.

After September 11, Joe Biden suggested, “this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran.”

Biden urged restoring an American diplomatic presence to Tehran where our diplomats had been held hostage and cutting off Radio Liberty broadcasts undermining the Iranian regime.

Biden’s 2008 presidential campaign was backed by Iran Lobby figures and he believed that Iranian support was so vital to his campaign that he attacked Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for being insufficiently pro-Iran, and used his vote against designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the key player behind Hamas, Hezbollah and the murder of hundreds of American soldiers, as a terrorist organization to argue that he would make a better president.

For Iran.

After being part of an administration that provided Iran with the massive sanction relief and clearance that enabled it to build a massive missile arsenal and nuclear program, Biden left office and misappropriated classified documents involving Iran that he took home with him.

Biden stayed loyal to the Iran Lobby and it to him. Iranian hackers with the IRGC tried to interfere in the 2020 presidential election to stop Trump and aid Biden.

In the 2020 election, Jamal Abdi, the executive director of National Iranian American Council (NIAC) Action, often described as the Iran Lobby, was exposed as one of Biden’s biggest bundlers, and NIAC claimed its members had run phone banks and donated $385,000 to him.

NIAC Action had endorsed Biden and celebrated the election outcome by declaring that, “our long, national nightmare is almost over. AP has called the race for Joe Biden”.

Iran’s president cheered Biden’s election win by expressing the hope that “the next American administration will surrender to the Iranian nation.” The Islamic terror state leader was not to be disappointed. The Biden-Harris administration offered billions in sanctions relief to Iran while attempting to restore the failed nuclear deal with the terror state. It dropped support for the Saudi campaign against the Houthis in Yemen which allowed the Iran-backed terrorists to arm up and terrorize shipping in the Red Sea leading to 9 months of fighting in what has been described as the “most intense combat since World War II” for the U.S. Navy.

The Biden-Harris administration was filled with Iranian sympathizers and lobby figures, including Rob Malley, Biden’s envoy to Iran, under FBI investigation for mishandling classified information, whose actions were illegally covered up by State Department figures. It even brought in Ariane Tabatabai, an Iranian immigrant who had worked with the Iranian government to advise it and spread its propaganda, before working with Malley on the Iran negotiations, to act as a senior adviser to the Office of the Under Secretary of State for Arms Control, exactly where Tehran would have wanted her, before making her a Pentagon Chief of Staff.

Over the next four years, the Biden-Harris administration gave Iran everything it wanted from endless sanctions relief to a hostage trade that not only freed Iranian agents but allowed them to remain and continue their activities inside the United States.

This year the Biden administration was still at it, warning the British and French not to censure Iran at a vote in the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency despite its nuclear violations

When the chopper carrying Iran’s previous president crashed, the Biden administration sent its condolences and Deputy UN Ambassador Robert Wood stood for a moment of silence in the memory of the leader of a regime that had recently been responsible for killing U.S. soldiers.

The Biden-Harris administration now not only allowed sanctioned Iranian figures into the country but warned journalists away from filming outside the hotel where the Iranian delegation was staying. What did their cameras catch? The former head of NIAC, the Iran Lobby group linked to the Biden-Harris administration, entering the hotel. Is it any wonder that when Iran hacked the Trump campaign, it sent the materials to Harris-Walz staffers who did not report it to the FBI?

There is no shortage of materials for a theory of ‘Irangate’. The Biden-Harris administration has been even better for Iran that the previous low-water marks set by Carter and Obama.

Iran is not trying to “sow chaos” but to swing a presidential election in favor of its candidate.

The Islamic regime has also had a longtime obsession with Trump ever since he approved the operation that took out the IRGC’s deadly terror boss Qasem Soleimani. Even with Trump out of office, the official website of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei published a video simulating a drone strike on Trump’s home with the message, “Revenge is Inevitable”

Unlike Russiagate, Irangate is real and has been taking place out in the open for us to see.

An enemy of the United States is doing everything possible to stop a free election from taking place. It already used fake news, hacking and assassination plots to stop Trump.

Those tactics are likely to pick up as Election Day approaches.

Facing defeat in Gaza and Lebanon, Iran is not about to give up. And the most troubling question at the heart of Irangate that needs to be asked is how much support do Iran’s agents have inside this country, and inside the Biden-Harris administration and the intel community.

ROOKE: Looming October Surprise Could Wipe Out Kamala’s Campaign

Vice President Kamala Harris is facing a crisis that could end her White House chances.

Harris has billed herself (unsuccessfully) as the candidate most in tune with blue-collar workers despite one of the nation’s largest labor unions declining to endorse her. Now, she is facing a maritime strike that could put a full stop to her bid for the presidency. The Biden-Harris administration is just days away from up to 25,000 dockworkers striking at U.S. ports along the East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico. The strike would wreak havoc on American supply chains and send prices soaring across the country.

The International Longshoremen’s Association announced a historic strike that would force American ports to a screeching halt if the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) doesn’t meet worker demands for wage and automation protection. If the Biden-Harris administration fails to head their requests, the move could cost the U.S. around $5 billion a day in trade, disrupt America’s supply chain and send inflation through the roof right before the election.

The average American is already suffering under the weight of the Biden-Harris economy. This strike would raise the price of energy, food and shipping by 40-60 percent, according to the Cleveland Federal Reserve.

“A sleeping giant is ready to roar on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, if a new Master Contract Agreement is not in place,” ILA President Harold J. Daggett said in a statement. “My members have been preparing for over a year for that possibility of a strike.”

Sean Higgins, a labor and employment expert at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, told the Daily Caller News Foundation that Americans should expect the Biden-Harris administration to step in and force a deal with ILA and USMX.

Suppose they do weigh in with similar tactics to the bill President Joe Biden signed blocking the 2022 rail strike, imposing a contract on 115,000 rail workers. In that case, it’s likely to upset the union movement ahead of the presidential election.

Rail workers were angry with the Biden-Harris administration’s intervention in their strike, with one roadway mechanic, Reece Murtagh, telling NPR he felt Biden “turned his back on” them.

“Joe relied on us to get him home to his family,” Murtagh said. “But when it was his turn to help us out… to better our life, he turned his back on us.”

The looming strike puts Harris as a prominent opponent in a fight she can’t win. If her administration steps in and forces ILA to take a deal its workers do not want, it may stave off an economic crisis, but it will hurt her ability to win over a massive voting bloc (blue-collar workers) in swing states like Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia and Virginia, where several major U.S. ports are located. Still, if they don’t intervene, the American family will see their buying power decrease significantly again, pulling more votes away from her campaign.

‘Leading’ Police Group Backing Harris Actually Run By Dem Political Operative

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign bragged on Monday that a “leading” law enforcement group had endorsed Harris, however, the organization is only a few months old and is run by a veteran Democratic political operative.

Police Leaders for Community Safety, which endorsed Harris on Sept. 23, only launched publicly on June 11, according to a press release from the group. A registration document filed with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) indicates that the organization is led by Gail Hoffman, a long-time Democratic staffer who worked on John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign as director of surrogates and in the Clinton administration in various high-level roles, according to a biography on her website.

Hoffman has never worked for a police agency, per her biography.

Despite the organization’s recent founding and ties to the Democratic Party, Fox News Digital, which was given an advance copy of the endorsement, initially described the organization as a “leading law enforcement group,” language that the Harris campaign later used to tout the group’s backing. Days after publication, Fox changed its headline and removed the word “leading,” noting that “Police Leaders for Community Safety is comprised of former law enforcement leaders and not a leading group.”

The Fraternal Order of Police, the nation’s largest law enforcement interest group, took issue with framing Police Leaders for Community Safety as a “leading” organization in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“Prior to Police Leaders for Community Safety announcing their endorsement earlier this week, we were totally unfamiliar with the group,” a Fraternal Order of Police spokesperson told the DCNF. “We are very active, and aggressive in fact, in our interactions here in Washington [D.C.] and we’re present at basically every law enforcement-oriented meeting that happens here and we have never crossed paths with this organization nor are we familiar with its goals and objectives.”

The Fraternal Order of Police endorsed former President Donald Trump on Sept. 6, according to a press release. Police Leaders for Community Safety claimed to be “the only national police leadership organization that endorses candidates for political office” when announcing its support of Harris.

Police Leaders for Community Safety defended its status as a leading law enforcement organization, with a spokesperson telling the DCNF that it had been informally organizing since 2022 and filed registration paperwork with the IRS in 2023, with June 2024 representing the group’s public launch. The organization lists a few dozen law enforcement members, virtually all of whom are retired, on its “national advisory board.”

The Fraternal Order of Police, by contrast, had approximately 377,000 members as of this month, per a press release.

A spokesperson for the Harris campaign would not say whether or not it was accurate to call the Police Leaders for Community Safety a “leading” organization, instead pointing out that they had used the same language as Fox. The campaign did not respond to a follow-up inquiry after Fox changed its headline.

Police Leaders for Community Safety justified its nonpartisan bona fides in its statement to the DCNF, claiming that it is “comprised of Democrats, Republicans and independents” and that its endorsements are “based on issues of concern to law enforcement leaders, not on parties.”

All five of the people sitting on the organization’s board of directors, which includes Hoffman, are either Democrats or have a history of making liberal statements. Despite this, Police Leaders for Community Safety describes itself as a “nonpartisan national advocacy organization.”

David Mahoney, the organization’s treasurer, ran as a Democrat to serve as sheriff of Dane County, Wisconsin in 2018, ultimately winning the office. Susan Riseling, the chair of the organization’s board, meanwhile, uses social media almost exclusively to support Democrats and oppose Republicans, sharing posts from left-wing fake news operations like the Palmer Report as well as other large Democratic-aligned accounts like Occupy Democrats and MeidasTouch.

“Now I am a Democrat [because] the Republicans have no ideas beyond hate,” Riseling wrote on Twitter in 2021. “I can not understand any veterans voting Republican,” she said a year later.

Police Leaders for Community Safety vice chair Rick Myers, meanwhile, has used his LinkedIn account to advocate for expanded gun control, calling AR-15s “weapons of mass destruction,” and describing the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot as an “insurrection.”

“Despite the fact that our Founding Fathers had black powder muskets that could only shoot one round without reloading, and fashioned our unique Constitution and its Amendments to ensure our freedoms such that freedom to bear arms was designed for ‘a well regulated militia,’ we continue to allow unfettered weapons of mass destruction among our own citizens,” Myers wrote in 2021, reacting to a mass shooting in his area. “AR-15[s] are killing machines.”

Cynthia Herriott, the organization’s fifth board member, was a registered Democrat as of at least 2021, according to public records.

Herriott, Riseling and Myers are all retired police chiefs.

“Police Leaders for Community Safety is the only national police leadership organization that endorses candidates for political office, and this is the group’s first endorsement,” the group’s endorsement of Harris reads. “This and future endorsements will be based on candidates’ alignment on issues vital to law enforcement.”

Harris praised the defund the police movement multiple times in 2020.

‘Wrote Her Off’: Mother Of Abbey Gate Survivor Details Being Ghosted By Jill Biden During Son’s Recovery

A basket of muffins, a photo with the president, a few phone calls and one dinner.

That’s all Tiffany Andrews, mother of Abbey Gate survivor Marine Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews, says she received from the Biden-Harris administration in the three years since her son was severely wounded in the Kabul terrorist attack.

A single mother of three and California business owner, Andrews uprooted her life to be by her son’s side as he fought for his at Walter Reed Hospital. Her situation inspired her to create and push legislation for caretakers left without a livelihood as they cared for their wounded soldiers.

Despite visits, a personal phone call with First Lady Jill Biden and meetings with her aides, Andrews told the Daily Caller she was ultimately ignored by the administration.

“My naivety, right? I’m thinking the government’s going to swoop in and take care of us. Oh, God, was I so wrong,” Andrews said.

The Daily Caller recently sat down with Vargas-Andrews, who was severely wounded when a suicide bomber detonated himself outside Abbey Gate during the U.S. evacuation from Kabul, Afghanistan. He recounted his experience meeting President Joe Biden, being shunned by Vice President Kamala Harris, and coming face-to-face with death. The interview can be seen in full here.

This week, the Daily Caller sat with Andrews for an hour-long interview to hear her story as a caretaker for her son and how the Biden-Harris administration forgot about her family.

On Aug. 26, 2021, Vargas-Andrews was hit with more than 100 steel ball bearings, leaving him catastrophically injured. His stomach was ripped open, his left testicle exploded and his liver, bladder and spleen were lacerated and punctured. He eventually had his right arm and left leg amputated. Nearly 200 people were killed, including 13 American service members.

Forty-eight hours after learning her son had been bombed, Andrews found herself in Germany, leaving her three children and business behind to be with her dying son.

“I’ve just left my kids on the other side of the U.S. And I have an entire company where I’m taking care of 150 to 200 clients, 17 different employees, so 17 different families, and I’m a single mom, 100% with no other support to take care of my kids. I need to have a business to come back to,” Andrews told the Caller.

“I needed to know how I was going to still have a livelihood and come back, because I’m not leaving my son, who quite literally might die, and I needed to then come back to get my younger children and move them across the U.S. to stay with me. We were put in an apartment out there by the Yellow Ribbon fund, and that was incredibly grateful. But we didn’t have an income. You just cut the head of my company off. I was the highest biller. I was the one that managed everybody,” Andrews said, adding that while she was caring for Tyler she still had nearly $150,000 in monthly bills to pay on the west coast.

President Joe Biden and his wife Jill paid a visit to Vargas-Andrews his first week in Walter Reed. In anticipation of the president’s visit, Vargas-Andrews told his mom that he wanted to hold off all medication that day until the president came so he could be fully present.

“Tyler stopped all his medication because he wanted to be cognitive. He wanted to be present. He wanted to have a present conversation with the president, and so he stopped his medicine, and he asked the doctors to hold what they could,” Andrews said, noting that her son was in unbearable pain because of the double amputations and numerous surgeries he had undergone.

“It’s understandable as a professional, and given his nature of his position in society, that [Biden] would not necessarily be there on time. However, we waited for hours upon hours upon hours,” Andrews told the Caller. “What the president may not even know, is that that blown up marine sat there wanting to be able to have a decent conversation with him, and sat there all day without his pain meds after being catastrophically blown up.”

“Nobody said, ‘hey, maybe we need to give him more meds because he’s not going to be here for three hours… to help take the pain off.’ Nobody cared. Nobody. So there, my son sat for hours upon hours until the president did finally get there,” Andrews continued.

Though President Biden never visited or reached out to Vargas-Andrews or his mother again after that meeting, the first lady paid another visit to the wounded soldier in the middle of September 2021. At the time, she asked Andrews how she could help her. But just a few weeks after her son was bombed and was still in ICU, Andrews told the Caller she was still in a state of crisis and not prepared to answer the question.

Eventually, after being able to sort out where she needed help, Andrews expressed interest in creating legislation for caretakers of wounded soldiers that would allow them to receive funding from the government. After reaching out to Jill Biden’s office about it, the first lady called Andrews personally to discuss.

“I remember her saying, that’s how people actually make change in legislation that happens. It happens from somebody with life experience happen to them and they become very passionate and just kind of keep pushing. And we had a discussion about that,” Andrews said in an earlier phone call with the Caller. “She had said that she was going to connect me with her senior military advisor and with somebody legislatively.”

Soon, Rory Brosius, executive director of Joining Forces, reached out to Andrews. Then-Vice President Joe Biden teamed up with first lady Michelle Obama in 2011 to create Joining Forces, an initiative aimed at supporting “military and veteran families, caregivers and survivors.”

Over the span of a few months, Andrews told the Caller that she communicated with Brosius through text and a long phone call about her where she saw gaps in current legislation for caregivers in situations such as her own.

“We had a very lengthy phone call where I took some notes, and I still have those notes. And I went over all of this with her, and she had shared with me at that time that she had been involved in the prior caregiver legislation, and [that] she was involved in writing it, she said, ‘you’re right.’ She goes ‘we never contemplated a business owner being a caregiver, or somebody in your unique shoes,’” Andrews told the Caller.

“I appreciated the acknowledgement, and I was hopeful. And I was hopeful that maybe I’d been funneled in a direction with somebody that might be able to help,” she continued, adding that she had told her the country needed something equivalent to the PPP loans handed out during the coronavirus pandemic to small businesses.

After corresponding several times in the beginning of 2022, Andrews told the Caller she and Brosius met for dinner in Maryland on Aug. 5, 2022, to discuss how to push legislation for caregivers forward.

A few weeks later, one day before the first anniversary of the Abbey Gate terrorist attack, Andrews followed up the dinner conversation with a text. She had some more ideas on how to help people in her situation.

“How would I approach the President or First lady about possibly considering my student loan debt as a way to offset some of the fiscal injury my two minor kids and myself have suffered due to my relocation for 10 months to care for Sgt. Vargas Andrews?” a text from Andrews to Brosius, reviewed by the Caller, read. Andrews recalled that she had just seen news reports about the Biden administration’s widespread student loan forgiveness program, which she herself wasn’t eligible for, spawning the idea.

“How can I get caregiver legislation to consider modifying legislation for business owners and single parents – or who can I contact to assist me in making it better for future wounded warrior families in similarly situated shoes? I want caregiver legislation to look at this issue, I want to help those into the future. I will not be the first. am probably not the first and definitely won’t be the last,” the text continued before asking Brosius for her ideas and feedback.

Brosius marked the text read and Andrews said she never received any answer.

The First Lady’s office responded to Andrews’ story in a statement to the Caller, adding that in 2023 the president had signed an executive order to help military families, spouses and caregivers.

“There was engagement between our office and Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews’ family,” Vanessa Valdivia, a press secretary in the First Lady’s Office, told the Caller.  “Joining Forces is informed by the lived experiences of military families, and brings their stories to policymakers at the White House and across the Administration.  The experiences of military and veteran caregivers and their families informed President Biden’s executive order on increasing access to high-quality care and supporting caregivers for families.”

“The President’s executive order specifically directed actions to expand options for veterans with disabilities, and better support military and veteran caregiving families,” she continued.

Biden’s executive order primarily focused on expanding the availability and quality of child care and long-term care services via a series of executive branch programs. It did briefly touch on VA benefits for family caregivers for wounded troops, such as situations like the one that happened to Andrews: ” the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall consider issuing a notice of proposed rulemaking by the end of this fiscal year that would make any appropriate modifications to eligibility criteria for the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers, which provides services and benefits, including a monthly stipend, for eligible caregivers of veterans who sustained a serious injury or illness in the line of duty.”

“The Biden administration just blew [my mom off when she reached out]. They just wrote her off. They didn’t care,” Vargas-Andrews told the Caller. “At the end of the day, they didn’t care. It’s disappointing, honestly, it’s very disappointing.”

Andrews told the Caller she never received any financial support from the Biden administration. Her children did receive a counselor provided by the regiment commander at Walter Reed in 2021. Andrews added that she was compensated for some travel and meals when she was visiting her son as he was healing from his injuries. While meeting with Brosius, Andrews told the Caller she was told she would reach out to the Dole Foundation to see if they could help provide for her in her situation. In Andrews’ last text to Brosius that she said went unanswered, she asked if such communication had been successful.

The White House cannot provide individual financial assistance, but can recommend resources within the federal government and through outside organizations, a White House official told the Caller.

But when it came to funds, taking care of her business and bills, non-profits Yellow Ribbon Fund and Semper Fi America’s Fund stepped in place of the government to support Andrews. In large part, funds raised in a GoFundMe for Tyler have helped keep Andrews and her family on their feet.

“Tell you what, that’s the hardest thing as a parent, is to accept help from your kid that is so catastrophically injured, and that’s the person that wants to help you. I remember him looking at me and him saying, ‘This didn’t just happen to me. It happened to our whole family, mom. And as a thank you to him, I will spend every day putting that money back because he shouldn’t have to. He’s given enough,” Andrews told the Caller.

Andrews is still interested in pushing legislation, both on caregiving and regarding child abuse cases – an area she has advocated for due to her professional experience.

“Somebody can benefit from my story. Different ways, different people can benefit. But I’m going to spend the next 45 years, God willing, that I’m here, 45 years doing the things that I’m setting out to do. I probably, I’ll land some, I may not land them all,” she added.

“I’ve learned as a leader that sometimes you have to navigate your direction. It will probably change at different points, but I have a list right now, and every day I work a little bit on that list, and I look forward to seeing where some of this goes,” Andrews finished.

EXCLUSIVE: Walz Administration To Hold Racially Segregated Retreat For ‘BIPOC’ Librarians

Minnesota State Library Services, part of Democratic Gov. Tim Walz’s administration, plans to use public funds to pay for a retreat intended exclusively for “BIPOC” librarians, according to documents obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The Walz administration describes the event, which will take place in October, as “a day of professional development and network-building designed specifically for BIPOC library workers of Minnesota,” according to a registration page. Minnesota will use public funds to cover hotel lodging, meals and other fees for those attending the program, state documents show.

“BIPOC” stands for “black, indigenous and people of color.”

A sign-up form for the event allows those seeking to attend the program to select from an assortment of races and sexualities to describe themselves but “heterosexual” and “white” are notably missing from the options available.

Nicole Cooke, a professor of library and information science at the University of South Carolina, is booked as a keynote speaker for the event, according to an agenda obtained by the DCNF.

Cooke has argued that it is “tantamount to malpractice” to allow students to enter the workforce without first being educated on diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice. In 2017, she received a grant to study “racial microaggressions in libraries,” according to a press release.

The professor has a long history of giving presentations on the importance of center racial justice and diversity when managing libraries, according to her personal website. In 2020, she created an “anti-racism resources for all ages” project which includes a number of materials intended to introduce children to the topic.

“Anti-racism” is part of a framework first coined by left-wing academic Ibram X. Kendi that holds anyone not actively resisting what he defines to be racism is a racist. It is impossible to be neutral on the issue of racism, according to Kendi.

Minnesota State Library Services is directed by Tamara Lee who, according to her LinkedIn profile, is “passionate about early literacy and racial equity in libraries” and has expressed support for Kendi’s idea of anti-racism.

Lee co-authored a 2021 piece in Information Today where she argued that “niceness” is a “tool of white supremacy” because she believes it can be used by racists to absolve themselves of wrongdoing. She argued that librarians must take an active role in educating children on racial activism.

“Children are often aware of race long before we think they are,” Lee wrote. “Starting open and honest conversations with them about race early on can prepare them to be anti-racism practitioners their whole lives.”

The state librarian also wrote a paper in 2016 that advocated for making children’s story time “racially diverse, equitable and inclusive.”

Lee is listed as one of the primary points of contact on documents sharing details about the BIPOC exclusive librarian program. She was also involved in planning the event.

Walz is no stranger to using public resources to hold racially segregated events. His Department of Education held “restorative justice” teacher trainings in 2022 that white educators were explicitly barred from attending. The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs also held trainings intended to alleviate homelessness among veterans but only invited white people to participate if they were willing to serve as a “stakeholder or ally” to non-white and LGBT veterans.

Lee, the Harris campaign, the Minnesota governor’s office and the Minnesota State Library Service did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

Kamala Harris Backed Total Handgun Ban As San Francisco District Attorney

Vice President Kamala Harris backed a total ban on handguns in San Francisco, California, during her time as the city’s district attorney, according to a story published in the San Jose Mercury News in 2005.

Harris backed San Francisco Proposition H, which would have enacted a total ban on possessing a handgun in San Francisco with few exceptions, as well as the sale, possession, manufacturing and distribution of all firearms and ammunition in the city, according to San Jose Mercury News. Her past support for the measure stands in contrast to her recent insistence during her 2024 presidential campaign that she is “not taking anyone’s guns away” if elected.

The ballot measure passed with 58% of people voting in favor but immediately faced legal challenges from groups such as the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the California Rifle and Pistol Association (CRPA), according to The Reload. The proposal was swiftly struck down in court in 2006, as it was found to have violated the Second Amendment, according to the Office of the City Attorney.

“San Francisco was a leader in proposing gun restrictions at the local level, and she never met a gun control law she didn’t like,” Chuck Michel, president and general counsel of the CRPA who helped fight the measure, told The Reload. “Prop H was the crowning jewel.”

The law would have given San Francisco residents until January 1st, 2006, to surrender their handguns without consequences, according to the proposition. The only people allowed to own handguns would be “security guards, peace officers or active members of the U.S. armed forces.”

Handguns are the most frequently used firearm for self-defense, with 65.9% of defensive gun use cases utilizing them, according to a Georgetown University study conducted in 2021. Additionally, there are on average 1.7 million defensive gun uses per year.

Harris also supported mandatory gun buybacks for so-called “assault weapons” in 2019 during her campaign for the Democratic nomination. However, experts previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation that confiscating so-called “assault weapons” would likely violate the Second Amendment as it would require an underlying ban.

She continues to support an assault weapons ban as well as mandating background checks on customers if a dealer sells more than five guns a year, according to The New York Times in July.

The Harris campaign declined to comment on the record to the DCNF.

Kamala Harris Caught Chanting ‘Down With Deportation’ In Unearthed Video

Recently unearthed video captured Vice President Kamala Harris chanting for the total abolition of deportations during a 2018 Los Angeles parade.

“Up, up with education. Down, down with deportation,” the then-California senator chanted alongside a crowd during a January 2018 parade in Los Angeles, according to video first obtained by the Daily Mail. The footage further demonstrates how Harris, once a staunch opponent of basic immigration enforcement policies, has shifted her tone on the issue since becoming the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.

The chant took place at the 33rd annual Kingdom Day Parade, which celebrates the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Video footage collected by parade organizers that year — which listed her as a “grand marshall” of the event — shows Harris in the same outfit she wore during the chant, confirming the time and date of the aforementioned clip.

Similar to the video of the crowd chant, convicted hate crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett could also be seen in background during her interview with a reporter.

Harris appeared to take a shot at then-President Donald Trump during the interview.

“It feels great to be in LA, to be in California, to celebrate Dr. King, his vision, his spirit — which is alive and well,” Harris said at the time. “And in the midst of time where there are supposed-leaders who are sowing hate and division, it is really important to remember we, as a country, are so much better than that.”

“And it’s not who we are,” she continued.

Harris’ participation in the 2018 parade chant coincided with her opposition to a number of immigration enforcement policies at that time in her political career. When vying for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, Harris was among the majority of candidates who raised their hands when asked if they supported the decriminalization of illegal border crossings.

Harris had also gone on record calling Trump’s border wall a “un-American” and a “stupid waste of money.” In 2019, she pledged her support for taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgeries for illegal migrants being held in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainment.

Immediately upon entering office in 2021, the Biden-Harris administration attempted to enforce a 100-day moratorium on most deportations, but that executive order was ultimately blocked in court.

Since President Joe Biden announced he would forgo his quest for re-election, paving the way for Harris to be the Democratic presidential nominee, the vice president has pivoted to the right on a number of issues, particularly immigration. Her campaign has since launched advertisements announcing her support for more Border Patrol agents and depicting her as a hardline border-state prosecutor who cracked down on cartels and gangs.

During an interview with CNN in August, Harris said she believed there should be “consequence[s]” for those that cross the border illegally. When asked by host Dana Bash to explain her apparent flip-flops on border enforcement and other issues, Harris said her “values had not changed.”

The Harris campaign did not respond to a Daily Caller News Foundation request for comment on the 2018 parade video.

Harris Honeymoon Fizzles Out As Trump Leads In Sun Belt Battlegrounds

Former President Donald Trump has gained ground and is leading Vice President Kamala Harris in key Sun Belt states, according to a New York Times/Siena poll from Monday.

Trump gained in Arizona and is now leading Harris by five points with the two candidates polling at 50% and 45% among likely voters respectively, according to the poll. At the same time, Trump has also held onto his lead over Harris in Georgia by four points and in North Carolina by two points.

While the Republican candidate is leading, a significant portion of likely voters across all three states are independents, according to the poll. On average, 31% of likely voters in the Sun Belt consider themselves Democrats, 33% identify as Republicans and 31% say they are independents.

The top issues for Sun Belt likely voters are the economy and immigration, polling at 26% and 16% ,respectively, according to the poll. When it comes to handling these top issues, 50% of likely voters trust Trump while just 46% prefer Harris.

Under Harris’ purview, who has previously been dubbed the Border Czar, there have been over 10 million nationwide migrant encounters, according to data from U.S. Customs and Border Patrol. During the Biden-Harris administration, there have been over 8 million migrant encounters on the Southern Border alone.

Inflation and economic struggles have also been a recurring theme over the last four years, with the national debt skyrocketing to $35 trillion for the first time in American history in July.

Several Biden-Harris initiatives, like the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act, have hiked up the federal deficit. The American Rescue Plan, which passed in March 2021, approved $1.9 trillion in spending, and the Inflation Reduction Act, which passed in August 2022, authorized an additional $750 billion in spending.

While Trump is leading, both candidates are viewed unfavorably across the Sun Belt, according to the poll. On average, Trump is polling at 47% favorability and 50% unfavourability across likely voters, while Harris is polling at 46% favorability and 51% unfavourability.

In Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina, only 30%, 24% and 28% of likely voters think the country is on the right track and roughly two-thirds say the country is headed in the wrong direction, according to the poll. This trend remains the same across groups irrespective of age and gender.

Although Trump won North Carolina in 2020, President Joe Biden won both Arizona and Georgia in 2020.

The NYT/Siena poll surveyed 2,077 likely voters in Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina from Sept. 17 to Sept. 21 with a margin of error of +/- 2.5%.

President Joe Biden, alongside his wife Jill Biden, entered the hospital room of wounded Marine Sergeant Tyler Vargas-Andrews. They had flowers with them. After shaking hands with Tyler’s mother, Biden began talking about losing his son Beau and his time in the service.

The president, Vargas-Andrews said, made no mention of the Afghanistan withdrawal in which he had nearly lost his life. It was unclear if his Commander-in-Chief was directly addressing him at all.

“[Then] Joe comes over to me, and he leans over, and he just sticks out his right hand, and my left arm is wrapped up in the cast. My right arm is not there, and I’m just looking at him. And he doesn’t even say anything. I’m just like, ‘I don’t have an arm,’” Vargas-Andrews said.

Without saying anything, Biden walked over to a few of Vargas-Andrews’ fingers sticking out from his cast and held onto them.

She falsely added that there are no more American soldiers in active combat zones.

Harris didn’t acknowledge other consequences of her decision to back Biden’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan. In the Kabul attack, many were wounded; some lost limbs. 13 American service members were killed.

Vargas-Andrews was one of those wounded. As a result of the Biden-Harris withdrawal, he was left without a right arm or a left leg. His stomach was ripped open, his left testicle exploded and his liver, bladder and spleen were lacerated and punctured.

“It’s just, I mean, it’s disgraceful,” Vargas-Andrews said of Harris’s debate response.

“I’m sure she did support it, as she said she was the last one out of the room,” he continued. “And, it’s the same with John Kirby saying he didn’t see any chaos from his perch when everything was happening. And recently came out saying that he wasn’t going to answer to a handful of veterans for the war in Afghanistan when this evacuation affected the entirety of the global war on terror, veterans and their families, and every single Gold Star family and everyone who lost limbs and everyone who was wounded and had friends die.”

“And it’s like, what was it for? What did they go and sacrifice over there for? It’s just dishonoring to everyone that served,” Vargas-Andrews added.

On Aug. 26, 2021, as the Biden-Harris administration was hastily leaving Afghanistan, about 45 Americans were hit in the attack. Vargas-Andrews was hit with more than 100 steel ball bearings. Nearly 200 people were killed.

Over the span of several months, Vargas-Andrews underwent 49 surgeries at Walter Reed Hospital. During his recovery time, he was fighting for his life.

“[In Germany] they brought my mom in and said goodbye. Resuscitated me both times, two or three. And then I got to Walter Reed, woke me up,” he said. “And over the course of a few days, I was like, ‘I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe,’ and all I can do is move my head, and my arm is in this giant big foam block. And, obviously I don’t have [my right arm]. And I’m all opened up, tubes everywhere and stuff, and, ‘I can’t breathe.’”

“And they’re like, oh, ‘your pulse is fine. your blood’s oxygenated,’ and I’m like, ‘I can’t breathe.’ And then I just blacked out. Double pulmonary embolism.”

Vargas-Andrews said he had briefly died, adding that he needed to be resuscitated several more times after he had blacked out.

Finally, four months after the attack, two of which were spent in the ICU, Vargas-Andrews was cleared to leave the hospital as a double amputee.

The Biden-Harris administration has long been scrutinized for how it withdrew from Afghanistan in 2021. The Gold Star parents have repeatedly criticized the president for the operation and failing to properly recognize their fallen children. Still, Biden reportedly told his aides that he stood by his team, and nobody was fired in the aftermath.

White House national security council spokesman John Kirby later said in April 2023 that Biden was “proud” of how the administration conducted its operation. Harris has repeatedly bragged about being the last one in the room when Biden made the decision to pull out.

The Biden-Harris administration released an internal review of its withdrawal in April 2023, blaming the chaos on former President Donald Trump because he had ordered communication with the Taliban, negotiated a withdrawal date and failed to leave the Biden administration a comprehensive plan on how the operation should be carried out.

“Everyone likes to say, ‘oh, well, Trump’s the one that met with the Taliban … he shook their hands and negotiated.’ Well, when people say that, they don’t like to bring up or look at the fact that there was the Doha Agreement and this long list of how we were going to pull out of Afghanistan, what the Taliban had to abide by, not killing, not raping, leaving women’s rights in place, not harassing us, all this stuff, how, where we were going to exit out of, and all that was thrown out the window,” Vargas-Andrews said.

On the third anniversary of the Abbey Gate attack, the tension came to a head.

Trump, at the invitation of the Gold Star families, attended a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. While he laid a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier, Vargas-Andrews stood with the former president.

Trump, the Gold Star families and Vargas-Andrews then moved to Section 60 where the fallen soldiers laid. While visiting the graves of Staff Sgt. Taylor Hoover and Sgt. Nicole Gee, the former president snapped a photo and some videos with the families.

“I met former President Trump, we met him up at the tomb of the unknown soldier first. And he came in very somber, but friendly, and took the time to talk with anyone that wanted to talk to him, and the Secret Service wasn’t crowded around him or anything like that,” Vargas-Andrews said.

From there, the press made a fuss over an NPR report that an altercation occurred between a campaign official and an Arlington Cemetery official over photograph restrictions in Section 60. The Trump team denied the story and a source familiar with the event conversations previously told the Daily Caller that the Gold Star families had approved a campaign photographer to take photos of the ceremony.

“And at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, ultimately, those families wanted him there. They wanted his team there. They wanted him to be a part of that ceremony, because he’s the only one in the top of our nation’s government that’s showing them the love and care,” Vargas-Andrews told the Caller, adding that the Gold Star families had wanted Trump to take photos of the event.

Amid the controversy, Harris decided to weigh in. Via tweet, the vice president slammed Trump for filming videos while honoring the fallen soldiers. She wrote that, in her words, unlike the former president, “will always honor the service and sacrifice of all of America’s fallen heroes.”

Eight Gold Star families rebuked Harris’s comments, calling her out for never reaching out and ignoring requests to meet.

“It’s a joke that Kamala Harris is going to go on and say anything they can to shut down these families,” Vargas-Andrews said.

“That’s what it is at the end of the day, when you’re doing that, you’re shutting down these families, you’re shutting down the 13 Americans that were murdered on your watch, the 13 Americans that were murdered under the Biden administration, all of the active duty troops that are still in combat zones all over the world that she said aren’t,” he added.

Vargas-Andrews, who has never been approached by Harris or her office, told the Caller that he believes the vice president hasn’t reached out to the families because it would be admitting “that blood is on their hands.”

“She and the current administration are scared of the truth coming to light and having to face the consequences of their own actions and answer for those murdered Americans,” Vargas-Andrews told the Caller.

“If she acknowledges it, either of them took the time to say the names of the 13 Americans that were killed in action that day, that they still haven’t ever said, it would be recognizing their mistakes,” he continued.

While Harris has never reached out to Vargas-Andrews, Biden and his wife only spoke to him once, when he was recovering in Walter Reed.

Vargas-Andrews explained to the Caller that not long after arriving at Walter Reed, the second day he was awake, he was told the president wanted to visit him. Excited, Vargas-Andrews told the nurses to hold all his medication until the president arrived so he could be fully alert for the visit, which was expected to take place within an hour and a half.

But five hours later, the president was yet to show up.

Eventually a secret service agent entered the hospital room, prepping Vargas-Andrews, his mom Tiffany Andrews, and his best friend for the visit. It was in that moment Vargas-Andrews realized that because of the trauma he had endured, he had forgotten who the president was.

“I didn’t think it was Biden. I just was like, oh, man, the president,” he said. “That’s fucking cool. And, didn’t, you know, process in my brain. I couldn’t even, like, make the connection in my brain, good old TBI, I guess. But, I’m like, oh my God, I have no idea who the president is,” he recounted to the Caller.

Before concluding the visit, the president and the first lady took a photo with Vargas-Andrews and his mom. Biden left with some final remarks.

“They snapped a photo, and then, he leans over me, and he’s this close to my face and is like, ‘what do you want?’ I was like, and ‘what?’”

“He was like, ‘what do you want?’ ‘I just want to be me.’ That’s all I said. And he’s like ‘huh?’ and my mom says ‘he said he just wants to be himself.’ And he goes, ‘oh,’ stands up [with a] distant stare, stands up, doesn’t say anything, and Secret Service just rushes him out of the room,” Vargas-Andrews said.

After Vargas-Andrews was wounded, his mom dropped everything to be by her son’s side. She never received any financial support from the Biden administration. Instead several non-profits, including Yellow Ribbon Fund and Semper Fi America’s Fund, stepped in to support Andrews.

Abandoned by the Biden administration, Andrews works with Semper Fi America’s Fund and has connected with members of Congress to help push legislation aimed at supporting caretakers, Vargas-Andrews told the Caller.

The Biden-Harris administration’s lack of support hasn’t set Vargas-Andrews back. The double amputee has become open water diver scuba certified, started skydiving again and is going for his skydiving license. He’s working on getting his flight hours in so he can earn his sports pilot’s license. He’s also teamed up with other veterans to start a business, Flatline HardGoods, that sells t-shirts and hats donning Vargas-Andrews’ motto, “never a victim.”

He told the Caller he is the same man he was before the attack.

When Harris stood up on that debate stage, she may have whitewashed the results of her administration’s Afghanistan withdrawal, but for Vargas-Andrews and the Gold Star families, it’s something they can’t ignore.

“You need to answer for what you’ve done, for what everyone’s done, hold yourself accountable,” Vargas-Andrews said, on what message he would give Harris if she ever reached out.

“You need to hold everyone in our nation and our military that’s accountable,” he continued. “I am very doubtful, you know, not doubtful. I know that they’ll never do that. But, it’s the right thing to do … It’s really as simple as that. Those who are at fault need to answer for what they’ve done.”

What Would a Kamala Administration Look Like?

A racist attorney general and an opponent of “warriors” as secretary of state.

While the election is still underway, D.C. insiders are buzzing about the names being put forward for a leading role in a possible Kamala administration. Some emerging names being reported on by the media include the first female secretary of defense who wanted to dismantle “warrior culture”, either Kamala’s brother-in-law or a former member of a racist hate group for attorney general and an anti-Israel activist as a possible director for national intelligence.

D.C. insiders expect that a Kamala administration will appoint a first female Secretary of Defense, and are pretty sure that it will be current Army Secretary Christine Wormuth.

Wormuth, who got her start as a Clinton intern, has presided over a catastrophic enrollment decline and announced that she wanted to transform military recruiting to focus on equity.

The Secretary of the Army complained that “today more than 80% of recruits come from military families. There is a risk of developing a warrior caste when only 1% of the population serves in the military.”

Instead, “the Army is strategically deploying recruiters to communities across the country based on demographics, ethnicity, race, and gender,” Wormuth had claimed. The goal was to jettison the multi-generation military families who create the “warrior caste” that she wanted to avoid.

White Army recruits had fallen from a majority to a minority. And kept on falling. The number of white Army recruits declined year by year and fell 43% from 44,042 in 2018 to 25,070 in 2023.

As secretary of defense, Wormuth could help shift the military further away from the traditional “warrior caste” and to DEI hires who are promoted based not on merit or ability, but on quotas, and are statistically less likely to be willing to fight and die for the United States of America.

Attorney generals are the single most important cabinet members. The right attorney general can implement crime fighting priorities or unleash a crime wave. He can also protect administrations from investigations while, like AG Garland, investigating its political opponents.

Freedom Center Investigates reported early on that Tony West, the number three figure at the Justice Department under Obama, and a key figure in his sister-in-law’s presidential campaign who helped vet her VP pick, was a likely nominee for attorney general. Now that reporting has been validated by Politico which reported that Kamala’s brother-in-law was on the short list.

West, as Freedom Center Investigates already reported, launched the investigation that promoted the BLM hoax around Michael Brown’s death in Ferguson which helped touch off race riots and made the racial hate group into a national player that strongly influenced the outcome of the 2020 election. West also oversaw the slush fund that diverted billions from bank settlements to leftist groups allied with the Obama administration.

Nominating West would violate anti-nepotism understandings put into place after JFK appointed his own brother as attorney general. But waiting in the wings would be a potentially even more extreme nominee. It’s been reported that the Kamala campaign promised Muslim anti-Israel groups that Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison would also be on the short list.

Ellison unusually received a speaking list at the DNC despite past accusations of racism, antisemitism and even domestic abuse by two women. The former member of the Nation of Islam group however is a political ally of Gov. Walz and that may have overcome his ugly past.

The future state attorney general had spent as much as 11 years as a member of a racist hate group whose leader, Louis Farrakhan, praised Hitler, and whose theology claims that white people were created by a mad scientist and will be exterminated by UFOs. During his time in the hate group, Minnesota Daily opinion editor Michael Olenick had described Ellison’s writing as “a genuine threat to the long-term safety and well-being of the Jewish people.”

“Time and time again my people have been slaughtered after the words of Hakim (Ellison) and those like him influenced the masses,” Olenick wrote.

Ellison first ran for office while affiliated with the Nation of Islam on a platform of, among other things, having Nation of Islam thugs patrol neighborhoods.

Can an antisemitic racist accused of assaulting women become the nation’s attorney general? After securing a state post and a speaking slot at the convention, it may be possible.

On the national security front, Kamala is expected to move Phil Gordon, her current vice presidential adviser, up to national security adviser.

Gordon had blamed America for creating Islamic terrorists. “The idea that terrorists attack because they hate freedom, however, is misguided,” Gordon had argued. Muslim terrorists weren’t “born evil” or “hate our freedoms”, but rather they feel “shame” over the state of “a once great Islamic civilization” surpassed by other cultures including “the local upstart, Israel.”

He had advocated cutting support to Israel. Multiple media accounts have claimed that Gordon would retool a Kamala administration to be even more anti-Israel than under Biden.

There is emerging reporting that Maher Bitar, a former anti-Israel activist who is currently “the senior-most official responsible for coordinating government intelligence and defense policy”, would move up to the role of the Director of National Intelligence in a Kamala administration.

Bitar, a former executive board member of Students for Justice in Palestine, a campus hate group which has since endorsed Hamas and the atrocities of Oct 7, had been an organizer of a conference by the Palestine Solidarity Movement at Georgetown, which worked with Hamas, and whose previous event had reportedly included chants of “Kill the Jews”.

While other figures on the shortlist, including current National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan for Secretary of State and Pete Buttigieg for UN Ambassador, are troubling in and of themselves, some like Ellison are uniquely polarizing and disturbing. These names remain preliminary until there are more definitive leaks, but they provide an initial image of what a Kamala administration could be like.

Harris Flatlines In Post-Debate Polls Despite Claims Of Victory

A new poll released Sunday shows Vice President Kamala Harris did not significantly move the needle in her favor despite viewers saying she won the debate, according to ABC News/Ipsos.

Following Tuesday’s presidential debate between Harris and former President Donald Trump, a handful of pundits predicted a polling boost for Harris. However, while 58% of Americans say Harris won the debate, she only gained one point compared to pre-debate polls, now holding 51% support to Trump’s 47% among registered voters, ABC News/Ipsos data shows.

The poll, which was produced by Langer Research Associated with fieldwork by Ipsos, surveyed 3,276 adults online between Sept. 11 – 13 and had a margin of sampling error of 2%. In addition to registered voter support, the poll shows among all adults Harris holds 51% with Trump at 46% and among likely voters Harris holds 52% with Trump at 46%.

Among the new post-debate data, 37% of voters viewed Harris more favorably after the debate compared to 23% who found her less favorable. However, the increase for Harris came mainly from her base, with 69% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning Independents stating they found the vice president more favorable after the debate, as 34% of Republicans and GOP-leaning Independents found Trump more favorable, according to ABC News/Ipsos.

Immediately after the debate, singer Taylor Swift broke her silence on a much anticipated endorsement and revealed she would be supporting Harris come this November. While the move sparked online celebration from Democrats, it showed little impact in the polls, with just 6% of voters saying Swift’s endorsement made them more likely to vote for Harris.

In contrast, 13% said it made them less likely to support the vice president and 81% said it makes no difference, data shows.

Polling on support for the former president appears to have dropped roughly four points compared to August’s data, with the post debate poll now showing 56% of Trump supporters backing him strongly. In contrast, 62% of Harris supporters now back her strongly, according to the ABC News/Ipsos poll.

Despite this backing from supporters, 42% of voters found Trump to be too conservative on issues, and 47% called Harris “too liberal,” which had been a point made by Trump on the debate stage.

With the economy and inflation still leading voters’ top concerns when it comes to voting this November, Trump leads Harris on the issue by 7 points in who Americans trust more to handle the job. While the two are evenly matched on crime and safety, Trump leads by 10 points over Harris on immigration, with the vice president leading by 9 points on health care and 14 points on abortion, data shows.

Trump Says He Will Not Debate Harris Again

Former President Donald Trump said Thursday that he would not debate Vice President Kamala Harris again after her campaign called for another face-off.

Immediately following Trump and Harris’ show down Tuesday, the vice president’s campaign began pushing for a second debate between the two in October. Trump wrote in a Truth Social post that he would not be debating Harris again, adding that she had previously denied his push for forums Sept. 4 on Fox News and Sept. 25 on NBC News.

“She was a no-show at the Fox Debate, and refused to do NBC & CBS. KAMALA SHOULD FOCUS ON WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE DURING THE LAST ALMOST FOUR YEAR PERIOD. THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE,” Trump wrote.

Harris and Trump faced off for the first time Tuesday on ABC News. Trump had previously debated President Joe Biden on June 27. After Biden stumbled through answers on stage, Democrats began pushing for the 81-year-old to drop out of the presidential race. About a month later, Biden did just that and endorsed his vice president.

Trump later proposed three debate dates to the Harris campaign, but the vice president accepted only one. Once the Sept. 10 debate was agreed upon, the Harris campaign issued a statement saying they would debate Trump in October if he showed up to the September debate.

National Press Secretary for the Trump campaign, Karoline Leavitt, previously told the Daily Caller that the statement was a lie, and that there was no October debate in the works.

“When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, ‘I WANT A REMATCH.’ Polls clearly show that I won the Debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the Democrats’ Radical Left Candidate, on Tuesday night, and she immediately called for a Second Debate. She and Crooked Joe have destroyed our Country, with millions of criminals and mentally deranged people pouring into the USA, totally unchecked and unvetted, and with Inflation bankrupting our Middle Class,” Trump wrote.

“Everyone knows this, and all of the other problems caused by Kamala and Joe – It was discussed in great detail during the First Debate with Joe, and the Second Debate with Comrade Harris,” he continued.

During the Tuesday debate, the vice president attempted to bait Trump into moments of anger by poking fun at his rallies and the results of the 2020 election. Conservative pundits and viewers were left frustrated with the moderators who repeatedly fact checked Trump but failed to correct Harris when she repeated previously debunked stories.

“Two nights ago Donald Trump and I had our first debate, and I believe we owe it to the voters to have another debate because this election and what is at stake could not be more important,” Harris said in response to Trump’s decision on another debate.
