Critically Thinking about America via Music

For this US July 4th Independence Day, I’m suggesting: let’s look at the positive.

Here are some of my favorite patriotic songs…

1 – Jimi Hendrix: The Stars Spangled Banner (the sound effects he is able to make with a guitar are beyond mind-boggling) —

2 – Ray Charles: America the Beautiful —

3 – The Mormon Tabernacle Choir: Battle Hymn of the Republic —

4 – Lee Greenwood: God Bless the USA —

Yes we have issues, but the vast majority of Americans are good people. Is our fate going to be determined by a small group of vocal malcontents, or the majority?
