Voting: A Jewish tradition and obligation
“It is incumbent upon each Jewish citizen to participate in the democratic system which guards the freedoms we enjoy. The most fundamental responsibility […] is to register and to vote … a minimal expectation of citizenship.” — Rabbi Moshe Feinstein
What does it take for us Jews to throw bullies against us out of office or prevent them from winning positions that are used to incite Jew-hatred? Jews inherently stand up against bullies, who hunt for vulnerable victims, but why would any of us tolerate or even vocally support bullies against Jews?
What do bullies do?
Call names, fight dirty, provoke conflicts, inflict violence, spread dissent, poison, poison, poison others, cause chaos to reign, deceive, take unfair advantages of unsuspecting victims, organize mobs, incite hatred, often with peaceable words and winning smiles.
If these characteristic behaviors do not remind us of current political candidates and office holders, take a closer view of reality. If you trust words over actions, this viewpoint is dangerous to your health and welfare. It was the predominate viewpoint in Nazi Europe.
It was the predominant viewpoint prior to the 10/7GEN. It remains the predominant viewpoint in sectors of the United States … because people see what they want to see and hear what they hope to hear even when mountains of evidence to the contrary are piled before them.
Logic is irrelevant and facts inconsequential against the backdrop of mindsets, inter-generational family history, prejudices embedded from the womb onward, insidious propaganda, social media “hypnosis,” and hosts of impactful stimuli adverse to mental health.
How far do we Jews have to be pushed to “Vote Jew”?
