Colombia elects pro-America and pro-Israel Conservative Abelardo de la Espriella. De la Espriella will replace the anti-America and anti-Israel Marxist Gustavo Petro. The Trump effect is on full display in Latin America. What’s happening in Latin America is a revolution against the hideous Marxist Left. Argentina, Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Honduras, Costa Rica, and El Salvador have all recently elected Conservatives in their general elections. The same result is about to happen in Peru. Brazil could do the same in October. A huge win for people who love freedom.

Abelardo de la Espriella, a 47-year-old lawyer who has never held public office, narrowly won Colombia’s presidential runoff. De la Espriella, who had received Donald Trump’s ‘complete and total endorsement,’ promises a return to power for Colombia’s right-wing faction.

A flamboyant US-backed lawyer who has never held public office narrowly won Colombia’s presidential runoff Sunday, June 21, swinging the country hard to the right on a promise to wage war against drug-running guerrilla groups.

With more than 99% of polling centers reporting, Abelardo de la Espriella had 49.65% of the vote, an unassailable lead over his rival, left-wing Senator Ivan Cepeda who trailed at 48.70%.

In Bogota, de la Espriella supporters wearing the canary yellow national football jersey he adopted as a campaign uniform waved flags and blew horns as victory became clear. But only a few hundred thousand votes separated the two candidates after a hyper-fractious campaign that was marred by guerrilla bomb attacks, hundreds of threats against candidates and the murder of a leading conservative presidential hopeful.
