EXCLUSIVE: ICE Drops New Batch Of Illegal Immigrants Charged With Voter Fraud Ahead Of Midterms

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 13 noncitizens accused of voter fraud ahead of the 2026 midterms, according to documents obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the ICE arrests in connection with alleged voter fraud and other election-related offenses just days before the 2026 midterm elections, according to the documents.

In a statement to the Caller regarding the ongoing investigations, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said, “The patriots of ICE have arrested dozens of non-citizens who illegally voted in American elections.”

“The Trump Administration will not allow illegal aliens to steal the votes of hardworking American citizens,” Mullin added. “American elections are for Americans only.”

The allegations and criminal-history details are based on documents obtained by the Caller, which do not establish that every individual named has been convicted of an election-related offense.

Among the cases highlighted by DHS was Juan Carlos Matute-Hernandez, a Honduran national accused of illegally voting in the 2026 election. His record includes an arrest for driving offenses, according to the agency.

Aden Hassan Aden, a Somali national, was accused of illegally voting in the 2020 election. His criminal history includes convictions for domestic violence, drug possession, and larceny, according to documents.

Several other cases involved alleged illegal voting in the 2024 election, including Arturo Salazar Garcia, a Mexican national, and Jaimie Sosa-Sardina, a Cuban national. Sosa-Sardina’s criminal history includes convictions for selling cocaine, battery, and resisting an officer, according to the department.

Marva Marie Cook, a German national accused of illegally voting in the 2022 election, has a criminal history that includes a larceny conviction, the agency said.

Acting ICE Director David J. Venturella told the Caller that the investigations involved coordination with other law enforcement agencies. “These arrests, carried out in coordination with our federal, state and local law enforcement partners, are the result of careful, methodical investigations,” Venturella said.

“American elections must be conducted in accordance with the law, and allegations of illegal voting deserve our undivided attention,” Venturella added. “When the facts support criminal charges, we pursue them. Every eligible voter deserves an election process that follows the law.”

Other individuals accused of illegally voting in the 2024 election include Braulio Osiel Zapata Perez, a Nicaraguan national whose record includes an arrest for driving under the influence, and Mai Tran, a Vietnamese national whose criminal history includes convictions involving fraud, drug possession, selling cocaine, burglary, larceny, and the illegal use of credit cards, according to the documents.

Jose Luis Matute Chaviel, a Venezuelan national, was accused of illegally voting in the 2024 election. His record includes charges involving driving under the influence and cocaine possession, the agency said.

Phath Vorn, a Cambodian national, was accused of illegally voting in the 1992 election. His criminal history includes convictions for assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and weapons possession, according to the department.

The documents further highlight the case of Axel Bemjarmin Alarcon Duarte, a Guatemalan national accused of illegally voting in a federal election. He has also been charged with driving under the influence, assault and battery on a family member, and shoplifting.

Darwin Yoel Zelaya-Orellana, a Honduran national, was accused of illegally voting in a 2026 election. His criminal history includes a conviction for a third-degree sex offense, the department said.

Servando Alejandro-Torres, a Mexican national, was accused of illegally voting in the 2024 election. His record includes convictions for disorderly conduct and bail jumping, as well as driving-under-the-influence charges, according to the agency.

Jairo Ivan Vazquez Montano, a Mexican national accused of illegally voting in the 2022 election, has a criminal record that includes arrests involving kidnapping, driving under the influence, and another traffic offense, the department said.

In recent months, DHS has taken additional steps to safeguard election integrity. In June, DHS directed ICE to enforce stricter penalties, including deportation, for noncitizens who illegally vote in U.S. elections.

In July, Secretary Mullin warned state election officials that tens of thousands of noncitizens were registered to vote.

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) released its 2026 Election Infrastructure Security Plan in September.
