Mark Bircher was born on June 25, 1953 in Pensacola, Florida and was raised in Alexandria, Virginia. Mark’s father, Cdr William Bircher, USN (Ret) was a pilot who served in the Korean conflict, was awarded Air Medals for his Combat Duty, and was Honorably Discharged from active duty in 1970. Mark graduated from the Mount Vernon High School in Alexandria on June 13, 1971. In June 1972, Mark was sworn into the US Navy as a Midshipman 4/c at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Midshipman First Class Mark Bircher graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree on June 2, 1976, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps. In December 2008, Mark graduated from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida with a Juris Doctorate Degree, and passed the Florida Bar.
Following graduation from the US Naval Academy, in July 1976 2nd Lt Bircher reported to The Basic School (TBS) at the US Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA and completed Basic Marine Corps Officer training in January 1977. In February 1977, 2nd LT Bircher reported to Pensacola Naval Air Station for Basic Flight Training. In May 1978, 2nd LT Bircher was promoted to First Lieutenant, and received his “Wings of Gold’ in July 1978 at Naval Air Station, Meridian, Mississippi. 1st LT Bircher reported for Replacement Air Crew Training in the F-4 Phantom fighter to Marine Fighter-Attack Training Squadron 101 at the Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, Arizona. He received orders to report on August 1979 to VMFA-451 as an F-4J fighter pilot based at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, SC. The Squadron deployed twice over the next two years on missions operating in the Western Pacific, while based at US Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni, Japan. In June 1981, 1st Lt Bircher was promoted to Captain. In May 1982, Cpt Bircher received orders to report as a US Marine Corps Exchange pilot flying the F-15 Eagle with the US Air Force, 58th Tactical Fighter Squadron at Elgin Air Force Base, Florida. Cpt Bircher graduated from the Navy Fighter Weapons School at Miramar Naval Air Station, San Diego, CA as a Top Gun Pilot. In September 1984, Cpt Bircher received orders to report to the Blue Angels as demonstration pilot in the A-4 Skyhawk with the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron in Pensacola, FL. In March 1987, Cpt Bircher was promoted to Major, and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for service involved with transitioning the Blue Angels from the A-4 Skyhawk to the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft. On June 14, 1988, Maj Bircher resigned his regular active duty US Marine Corps Commission, received an Honorable Discharge, and accepted a US Marine Corps Reserve Commission as a Major.
Maj Bircher began his career as a US Marine Corps Reserve Officer, with orders in May 1991 to report to Marine Observation Squadron Four, Naval Air Station Atlanta, GA. In June 1992, Maj Bircher received orders to duty as Commanding Officer, Marine Observation Squadron Four and promotion to Lieutenant Colonel. In June1994, Lt Col Bircher was ordered to his second command, when he assumed Command of Marine Fighter-Attack Squadron 142, Naval Air Station Cecil Field, Florida; in February 1997 he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. In July 1998, Lt Col Bircher received orders to report for duty as Watch Officer, Office Secretary of Defense (Policy), Executive Support Center, 3C-912, The Pentagon, Washington, DC. In October 1998, Lt Col Bircher was promoted to Colonel. In June 1999, Col Bircher was ordered to duty as Deputy Group Commander, Marine Air Group 42, Naval Air Station Atlanta, GA. In June 2001, Col Bircher was awarded with a gold star in lieu of his second Meritorious Service Medal. In June 2002, Col Bircher reported as the Deputy Chief of Staff (G-6), Fourth Marine Air Wing Staff, New Orleans, LA.
In February 2003, Col Bircher deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and reported to MajGen James Amos, the current Commandant of the US Marine Corps, as a Battle Captain for the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Headquarters (Forward) which was initially at Al Jabber Air Base, Kuwait. Col Bircher moved through Iraq, with the Air Wing ground echelon, supporting the aviation scheme of maneuver, to Qalat Sikar, Ad Diwaniyah, Al Hillah, and Babylon, Iraq. Although much of the HQ remained in Kuwait, a large presence was established at Babylon as the mission changed from combat operations to support and integration of the coalition security forces. Col Bircher returned to CONUS on September 3, 2003, upon completion of his duty assignment. For combat duty, Col Bircher was awarded the Bronze Star Medal along with various service and campaign medals. In February 2005, Col Bircher was promoted to Brigadier General. In January 2006, BGen Bircher received orders as Deputy Commanding General, First Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, CA. In July 2007, BGen Bircher received orders as Commanding General, Fourth Marine Air Wing, New Orleans, LA. In June 2008, BGen Bircher received orders as Commanding General, Marine Force South, Miami, FL. On October 1, 2009, upon retirement from the US Marine Corps Reserve, BGen Bircher was awarded the Navy Distinguished Service Medal and received an Honorable Discharge from the US Marine Corps Reserve. BGen Mark Bircher, USMCR (Ret)’s medals include the Navy Distinguished Service Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (Gold Star in lieu of second award), The Navy Commendation Medal, along with various campaign and service medals.
On June 15, 1988, Mark Bircher accepted a position as a commercial pilot in one of the major airline; the airline’s non-political endorsement policy precludes mentioning them in Mark’s political campaign. Mark has been flying with the same major airline for 25 years, now as a First Officer piloting the Boeing 777. Mark has been endorsed by Congressman Allen West, Lt Col-USA (Ret), the Special Operations Speaks Super PAC, the National Vietnam & Gulf War Veterans Coalition, and the Combat Veterans For Congress PAC. An essay assigned to 10th graders, at Albany High School, is at the center of controversy after students were asked to ‘think like a Nazi’. Students were assigned a persuasive writing essay where the teacher asked them to “pretend I’m a member of the government in Nazi Germany”, the handout obtained by CBS Channel 6 said.
The assignment went on to say “convince me you are loyal to the Nazis by writing an essay to convince me Jews are evil and the source of our problems.” Albany’ Superintendent, Dr. Marguerite Vanden Wyngaard, called the assignment “ill-conceived and inappropriate.” “How could you ask a student to justify prejudice leading to genocide,” said Dr. Vanden Wyngaard. “It is an illogical thing for a student to have to do. It doesn’t make any sense.” The teacher, whose name is not being released by the district, will not be teaching while a decision is being made on what consequences there will be, said Dr. Vanden Wyngaard. “It can go anywhere from a letter of council, a letter reprimand, all the way through to termination there is a broad spectrum,” said Dr. Vanden Wyngaard on the possible sanctions against the teacher. “I will not make that decision within the 24 hours because the spectrum is too big.”
The assignment didn’t make sense to the head of the Holocaust Survivors and Friends Education Center, in Albany, officials said Friday. They were disappointed but looked at the incident as an opportunity to educate both students and teachers going forward. “I was totally shocked when I learned this morning that anyone would have such an unbalanced lesson and grade students teaching racist anti semitic views,” said Shelly Shapiro, Director, Holocaust Survivors and Friends Education Center.

Students in some Albany High School English classes were asked this week as part of a persuasive writing assignment to make an abhorrent argument: “You must argue that Jews are evil, and use solid rationale from government propaganda to convince me of your loyalty to the Third Reich!”
Students were asked to watch and read Nazi propaganda, then pretend their teacher was a Nazi government official who needed to be convinced of their loyalty. In five paragraphs, they were required to prove that Jews were the source of Germany’s problems.
The exercise was intended to challenge students to formulate a persuasive argument and was given to three classes, Albany Superintendent Marguerite Vanden Wyngaard said. She said the assignment should have been worded differently.
“I would apologize to our families,” she said. “I don’t believe there was malice or intent to cause any insensitivities to our families of Jewish faith.”
One-third of the students refused to complete the assignment, she said.
Vanden Wyngaard said the exercise reflects the type of writing expected of students under the new Common Core curriculum, the tough new academic standards that require more sophisticated writing. Such assignments attempt to connect English with history and social studies.

Remember, when President Obama said “Osama bin Laden is dead and Al Qaeda is decimated and on the run?” If it weren’t for the fawning liberal progressive media, that statement could have been the “Lie of the Year” for 2012.
According to a CNN report,
The terror group’s manpower has increased in recent years, it has gained control of more territory in North Africa and the Middle East and is taking a different approach to death. While al Qaeda suffered significant setbacks after Navy SEALs shot and killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan in 2011, and drone strikes have taken out top terrorists along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the terror group and its close allies have rebounded in Yemen, the Sinai region of Egypt, Libya, Iraq, and parts of east and west Africa, among other places. Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, or AQAP, headquartered in Yemen, is particularly concerning.
CNN says sources have uncovered chatter that suggests “active plotting” and there are there are multiple indications that al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula is plotting attacks both within Yemen, against U.S. and Western structures and overseas,” according to Seth Jones, an analyst at Rand Corp.
If none of that concerns you, watch this video, which was released on Christmas Day. It calls for al Qaeda sympathizers to take things into their own hands and launch attacks in the West. In the two minute intro the speaker says, “We pray to Allah that the example set by Nidal Hassan becomes a source of inspiration for all Muslims.”
One year after the reelection of Barack Hussein Obama, Islamic totalitarians are not decimated and not on the run, but are stronger. No doubt Afghanistan will follow suit, if this is the paradigm for the Obama administration. The Middle East has been completely destabilized and with the current incursion into Southern Sudan by President Obama, one has to be concerned that it too will be destabilized, as was Libya.
This is what happens when the media is subjective rather than objective in analysis or telling the truth to the American people. But it’s too late now. We still face three more years of a failing Obama and a foreign policy that entices and emboldens our enemies. Weakness is intoxicating, and Islamic terrorists are drunk right now.
The next American president must be able to lead and command fear and respect from our enemies. Some may read this and say, “at this point in time what difference does it make?” But for those who’ve been on the receiving end of an AK-47, for those who will have to fight this resurgent enemy, and for those who will lose their lives in the next terrorist attack, it makes a doggone lot of difference.

Imagine waking up from a coma to find that both of your legs and your left hand are gone.
After a motorcycle accident that nearly killed him, this was Moise Brutus’s devastating reality. And he had to navigate the broken Medicaid system to try to recover. Now, he calls those days “the dark times.”

On December 19, 2013, a town hall meeting was hosted by Al Sharpton and the National Action Network to address gun violence exploded into a revolt against “Chicago Machine” politics, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and black alderman in City Hall with panel and audience members calling to vote out their elected officials. One 82-year-old preacher even called for “Tea Party” style meetings in some of Chicago’s south side communities such as Altgeld Gardens and Trumbull Park.

“This was a historic event,” Paul McKinley of V.O.T.E. (Voices of the Ex-Offender) and former 2nd Congressional District GOP nominee to replace Jesse Jackson, Jr. told Breitbart News. “Not because of Al Sharpton coming to town,” he continued. “This was first time since electing Mayor Harold Washington in the eighties that all of these grassroots groups and community organizers have come together under one roof to talk about the problems plaguing our community.”
While the stated goal for Sharpton was to bring the many different groups together to discuss solutions to the city’s violence epidemic, he may not have gotten the types of responses he was looking for. Calls for more gun control laws and getting guns off the streets were nonexistent and not mentioned by residents throughout the session.

A young Jewish woman of valor reveals the toxic mutation that has been baked into the genes of The New York Times from the very start.
The young woman in the video is Anna Blech, who won first prize at the New York City History Day competition for her research paper, “Downplaying the Holocaust: Arthur Hays Sulzberger and The New York Times.” For this paper, she also was awarded The Eleanor Light Prize from the Hunter College High School Social Studies Department and membership in the Society of Student Historians.
What Anna did not cover in her presentation was Sulzberger’s involvement with the Rockefeller Foundation as a trustee from 1939-1957. For you see it was the Rockefeller Foundation that developed and funded various German eugenics programs, including the one that Josef Mengele worked in before he went to Auschwitz.
Edwin Black in his book War Against the Weak: Eugenics and America’s Campaign to Create a Master Race writes, “On January 19, 1904, the Carnegie Institution formally inaugurated what it called the Station for Experimental Evolution of the Carnegie Institution at bucolic Cold Springs Harbor, [New Jersey].” “The undertaking was not merely funded by Carnegie, it was an integral part of the Carnegie Institution itself,” notes Black, “[Carnegie Institute Chairman John] Billings and the Carnegie Institution would now mobilize their prestige and the fortune they controlled to help [Professor Charles] Davenport usher America into an age of a new form of hygiene: racial hygiene. The goal was clear: to eliminate the inadequate and unfit.”
The Eugenics movement was later funded by the Rockefeller Foundation and this funding continued while Sulzberger, a Jew, was a trustee. Black reports, “Prior to World War II, the Nazis practiced eugenics with the open approval of America’s eugenic crusaders. As Joseph DeJarnette, superintendent of Virginia’s Western State Hospital, complained in 1934, ‘Hitler is beating us at our own game.'”
“Eventually, out of the sight of the world, in Buchenwald and Auschwitz, eugenic doctors like Joseph Mengele would carry on the research begun just years earlier with American financial support including grants from the Rockefeller Foundation and the Carnegie Institution,” notes Black.
Black asks, “Will the twenty-first-century successor to the eugenics movement, now known as ‘human engineering,’ employ enough safeguards to ensure that the biological crimes of the twentieth century will never again happen?”

We had two contrary studies in one week, with one study saying the global warming ‘pause’ was due to Montreal Protocol and another study saying we recalibrated [past] temperatures and presto, there was no ‘pause’ in temperatures.
The whole agenda here is politics. You have Michael Oppenheimer, a UN IPCC scientist, on the payroll of Barbara Streisand of Hollywood. Big Hollywood is funding one of your top UN scientists, but I don’t hear you worrying about his credibility there. UN Host Ed asks Morano: “What would it take you to be convinced [of man-made global warming threat]?”
Morano responded: You would have to see unprecedented climate and weather and we have neither. Multiple studies, in fact hundreds of scientists have shown the medieval warm period was as warm or warmer than current temperatures. Morano on attempts by UN to exploit Typhoon Haiyan which hit the Philippines and calls to regulate bad weather:
That is akin to medieval witchcraft to imply the UN can prevent natural weather disasters like typhoons. To turn this typhoon into ‘proof’ of global warming is unscientific and sheer cheap exploitation.
The UN interviewer then asked Morano: “What if you are wrong?”
Morano’s responded: Why not get a [climate] insurance policy? Why would you buy an insurance policy on your home that costs more than your home is worth and would pay out virtually nothing if your home burned down? You wouldn’t, that would be insurance fraud, but that is what they are selling. The UN’s Kyoto protocol, even if fully implemented and ratified — which it never was — wouldn’t even have had a noticeable impact on global temperatures in 50 to 100 years [according to warmists’ own estimates.] In the U.S., with cap-and-trade and carbon taxes — not only would they not impact global temperatures, but they would not even impact global CO2 levels.
The idea that somehow we can do an insurance policy with anything the United Nations is currently proposing is pure madness. It is silliness to think that treaties and acts of Congress or the EU can control the weather in any way that would be noticeable.
The question is: If you are right, we basically have to accept a climate catastrophe because there is no solution according to you guys, other than just restricting economies and emissions.
