Muslim Brotherhood Leader: Oct. 7 Paves Way for Conquest of Rome

“Rome will one day be in our hands, and every house and every tent will have a Muslim in it.” — Tareq Al-Suwaidan, Kuwaiti Islamic scholar and Muslim Brotherhood leader.

The first rule of Islamic fight club is that non-Muslims aren’t allowed to talk about it. And if it must be talked about, it has to be treated as a local phenomenon. That means insisting that Hamas is attacking Israel for political reasons, the Houthis are shooting at ships for political reasons, the Fulani are massacring Christians in Nigeria for political reasons, the Pakistanis, the Taliban, the Iranians, the Syrians, the Iraqis, ISIS and Mohammed who decided to stab someone on a train are all doing it for completely unrelated reasons.

On the other side, devout Islamic leaders focus on the linkage. Every battle is a step toward global conquest and the Fourth Reich of the Ummah.

They’ll say it out loud, too. (MEMRI)

Kuwaiti Islamic scholar and Muslim Brotherhood leader Tareq Al-Suwaidan bragged that he had met with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh a week earlier.

“I was just last week with my brother Ismail Haniyeh, so I got the details of what is going on. Istanbul, Allah be praised, is now in our hands. Rome will one day be in our hands, and every house and every tent will have a Muslim in it. Palestine will be free – there is no question about it. It started by the way – October 7 was a very clear start.”

It’s not about oppression. It’s not about “open air concentration camps” or any of the other lies. It’s about the Islamic manifest destiny of conquering the world and subjugating all non-Muslims.

Istanbul is viewed as a model for the conquest of Europe. Islamic leaders dream of turning Rome and every non-Muslim city into another Istanbul.

That is what Oct, 7 was really about.

A Hamas Terror Network in Europe

A terror plot in Berlin shows the Islamic terror group has a bigger plan.

Hamas have been described as Nazis and recent arrests shows that the Islamic terror group tried to live up to the name by planning to kill Jews in Berlin.

The first warning that Hamas, an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood known as the Islamic Resistance Movement, was preparing to deploy its international capabilities came when Sami Abu Zuhri, a senior Hamas spokesman, called for “violent acts against American and British interests everywhere, as well as the interests of all the countries that support the occupation.”

The question of whether this was anything more than empty rhetoric was settled when 7 Muslim terrorists were arrested across Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands. While Islamic terrorist plots are nothing new in Europe, these arrests reveal that Hamas has built an international terrorist network across a number of nations in preparation for carrying out attacks.

The official release from Germany’s Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office revealed that four of the Muslim men arrested “have been longstanding members of HAMAS and have participated in HAMAS operations abroad.”

It revealed that Hamas had set up “an underground weapons cache in Europe… created in the past in a conspiratorial manner.” This weapons cache had been set up well before the Oct 7 atrocities committed by the Islamic terror group and the terrorists were activated and told to search for it “no later than spring 2023” making it clear that this was not an attack planned in response to Israel’s bombing of Hamas targets in Gaza, but long before the Oct 7 attacks.

The spring 2023 timetable makes sense as Hamas had originally planned its butchery for Passover. The spring attack was aborted when Israeli intelligence learned of the plans. Hamas then became paranoid and proceeded in greater secrecy. Israeli intel viewed the Passover attack as a false alarm and then failed to take the High Holy Day attack plan seriously.

The European operation suggests that Hamas had prepared for a Passover attack beyond Israel. Its European cell tried to locate its underground weapons cache and the “weapons were due to be taken to Berlin and kept in a state of readiness in view of potential terrorist attacks against Jewish institutions in Europe.” But the terror cell had trouble finding its cache.

It is unclear why exactly the Hamas operation in Europe had lost track of its underground weapons cache leading the four terrorists to travel around searching for it, but it’s likely that Israeli attacks on the terrorist group took out vital links in the chain so that the location was lost.

An underground weapons cache also suggests that Hamas was planning something bigger than just a shooting. Despite what some Americans think, guns are not that hard to come by in Europe for criminals and terrorists. And this might have been why the trail of the Hamas cell led to Denmark and the Netherlands in search of the weapons they needed to massacre Jews.

The Copenhagen arrests were linked to Loyal to Familia. A Front Page Magazine article recently profiled the high level of Muslim gang violence in Sweden and Copenhagen which includes heavy firepower and hand grenades. These groups control drug smuggling routes and have ties to Islamic terrorism. They would have also had the weapons that Hamas needed.

Loyal to Familia’s Muslim thugs have terrorized Copenhagen while claiming that they’re suffering from Islamophobia. Weapons stockpiles held by the Muslim gangs in Denmark have included not only actual machine guns, but grenades and mortar shells. If anyone could get Hamas what it needed in Europe, it would have been the Loyal to Familia Muslim drug gang.

The arrests of members of Hamas and Islamic gang members links immigrant organized crime and Islamic terrorism in a way that poses a serious threat to Europe and ties it to Iran.

The European Hamas operation was being run out of Lebanon where the Islamic terror group has been able to operate safely under the protection of Hezbollah and its Iranian allies. Beyond the “political leadership”, Hamas has a terrorist operation in Lebanon which has launched raids and rocket attacks into Israel after Oct 7. But Hamas in Lebanon was also reaching into Europe.

In November, Israel took out Khalil Hamed Al Kharraz, the deputy commander of the Hamas forces in Lebanon, along with three other terrorists in an airstrike on their car. The strike was timely, but not timely enough because Al Kharraz had been talking to the European cell.

The European Hamas attacks were being run by top Hamas figures out of Lebanon.

Abdelhamid, the apparent leader of the European Hamas cell, was Lebanese born and was taking “orders from HAMAS leaders in Lebanon”. Another, Ibrahim, was also from Lebanon. A third, Mohammed, was from Egypt. While Hamas is generally portrayed as a “Palestinian” group with “ceasefire” supporters who oppose further attacks refusing to even say its name and chanting only in support of “Palestine” or “Gaza”, in reality it’s a regional terrorist group.

The Hamas members arrested in Europe reflect the reality that the “Palestinians” are a myth and that their cause is just the familiar Arab and Islamic nationalism of the regional majority.

It’s unknown exactly how far along the Hamas terror plot was, but while members frantically searched for their underground weapons cache, Ibrahim, the other Lebanese Hamas member, had taken up residence in Berlin near the Jewish Museum. Such an apartment could have been an ideal staging ground for attacks on the museum and any Jewish targets in the area.

More significant than the actual plot is the revelation of a Hamas cell operating in Europe.

The Lebanon section of Hamas closely coordinates with Hezbollah and shares a joint operations room with it. The growing Islamic influence over Hamas in the wake of the failed Syrian Civil War appears to have pushed the group toward grander schemes like the Oct 7 attack and now, under Iranian influence, apparently to expand its terror plans into Europe.

By backing Hamas, Iran not only secured a terrorist force inside Israel, but one that is capable of expanding and recruiting across Europe. Al Qaeda’s current leader is already operating out of Iran. Now the Islamic regime in Tehran wants another large scale Sunni Islamic terror group that can operate not only in Israel or the Middle East, but that will be able to strike around the world.

The international migration of Sunni Arab Muslims from Israel, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and elsewhere has created a large ‘Palestinian’ base that Iran can use Hamas to recruit. While few Iranian immigrants actually want to support the regime and carry out attacks, the same is not true for Arab Muslims who tend to be fanatical, tribal, devout and xenophobic.

The European terror network shows that Hamas poses a threat not only to Israel, but to Europe and America. A senior Hamas spokesman has called for attacks against America and the UK. A Hamas cell was operationalized in Germany to carry out attacks there. As a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas can call on support from Brotherhood front groups, including CAIR and MPAC in America, as well as many others in Europe, giving it a solid base of allies.

The Oct 7 attacks were meant to go beyond Israel and position Hamas as a rival to ISIS: an Islamic terror group capable of achieving what ISIS and Al Qaeda had not. The European arrests show that Hamas has a network, operations and ambitions that go beyond Israel.

But this is true of all Islamic terror groups. Al Qaeda operations had brought together Jihadists in the Philippines, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Europe and America. Despite the claims of its apologists, Islamic terrorism is never truly local, it is not a response to the “oppression” of some Christian, Jewish or insufficiently Muslim government, it is aimed at a global Islamic agenda.

“The day will come, within several years, when this world will change, submitting to the Arab Islamic will, Allah willing,” former Hamas leader and co-founder Khaled Mashal had predicted.

“Tomorrow, our nation will sit on the throne of the world. This is not a figment of the imagination, but a fact. Tomorrow we will lead the world,” he warned.

Former Hamas Minister of the Interior Fathi Hammad had predicted that “Jerusalem will be the capital city of the Islamic Caliphate” that will rule the world under a “global Islamic civilization”.

“Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was,” a Hamas cleric predicted. “Today, Rome is the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital, which has declared its hostility to Islam… this capital of theirs will be an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread through Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas, and even Eastern Europe.”

“The entire 510 million square kilometers of Planet Earth will come under [a system] where there is no injustice, no oppression, no Zionism, no treacherous Christianity,” top Hamas official Mahmoud Zahar had boasted.

Hamas, like ISIS and like every Muslim terrorist group, envisions and works for the Islamic conquest of the world. The struggle against Hamas is not just an issue for Israel, but for the entire world. Much as the struggle against Islamic terrorists in India, America, Europe, Russia, China or anywhere else is also a matter for the entire world. This is a world war. And it is probably the truest world war that there ever was with an enemy aimed at world conquest.

The Hamas terror network in Europe shows that the terror group won’t stay in Israel. And that the war against Hamas and every Islamic terror group is a fight for the survival of the world.

Let me try again: They are NOT in danger; they are EXTREMELY dangerous

The process of transformation into Islam begins the moment the first Muslims land in your country, because they will observe at least some of the laws of Islam, in which case, “areas where Muslims reside and there is a remnant of Islam’s rules are considered Muslim lands.”

Natural disasters, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, cyclones and the like, all tend to bring out the best in us as human beings. If we cannot physically help, we donate money, clothes or blood. If none of these, we at least feel very deeply for the suffering. Governments and emergency services do what they can to prepare, including alert and educate the public and prohibit and punish conduct that can set off or worsen such disasters. When these unwelcome events do occur, we forget our differences, regardless of race, colour or creed …almost.

Consider seasonal wildfires, for instance, generally well-prepared for and attended with high social awareness and appropriate conduct. Every year, despite everyone’s best efforts, people and animals somewhere in Australia, California, the Western Cape and the Mediterranean basin still lose their lives and property, and natural habitats are destroyed. After each such disaster, naturally, lessons are learnt and best practice improved. These lessons include dealing with careless and negligent citizens, thankfully, a manageable minority, and  arsonists, usually no more than isolated malicious individuals. It would not cross the civilised person’s mind that they might also have to take account of a substantial minority in their midst that would welcome the infernos and celebrate them; the more fatal the fires, the more extravagant their celebrations. This summer, Greece found herself in just such a situation.

Facing the hottest July in over half a century, the Greek government set up a crisis management unit to deal with the extreme fires that broke out from mid-July, some say from June. In one area alone, Greek City Times reports,

A force of five firefighting aircraft, 85 fire engines, eight teams of firefighters on foot and tens of water trucks from the municipality of Volos, as well as many private water trucks and hundreds of volunteers, took part in the firefighting effort.

As usual, international help was well-represented, and the disaster sometimes claims them, too, as this time, it did two Canadian firefighters. On 25 July, Reuters reports:

A Canadian-built plane fighting wildfires in Greece crashed on Tuesday, as Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis warned of tough days ahead, with blazes destroying homes and forcing the evacuation of thousands of tourists from the island of Rhodes. Two pilots were killed when their Canadair CL-215 plane crashed on the island of Evia, east of Athens, the air force said. It gave their ages as 34 and 27.”

Two days later, 27 July, we read of Pakistanis in Greece taking to the streets in jubilant celebration. These Muslim invaders (thankfully, no longer called “refugees,” but still erroneously called “migrants,” as if they were there to improve their lives) rejoiced in “Allah’s revenge” upon the Greeks. We saw ummah-wide celebration of “Allah’s revenge” in the early days of the Covid pandemic, when Muslims still boasted that they are protected from the disease. We saw the same ummah-wide celebrations of “Allah’s revenge” when an earthquake struck Italy a few years ago, destroying several churches, the same when a Muslim beheaded French schoolteacher Samuel Pati in the street, and when the Notre Dame in Paris caught fire. The Greeks, it hardly needs stating, were more than a little upset. As always, such Muslim behaviour inspires the ummah everywhere. A Twitter example will suffice.

Balkan Memes asked readers to, “Pray for Rhodes,” one of the worst-affected islands. In response to this tweet, Hamad Ali mocked, “Karma hits back…” and “Good to see that our overseas Pakistani brothers taking revenge from an Islamophobe Nation.” Syed igrar hassan added, “They killed our 300 young brothers… Allah is taking revenge against greeks. More and more pakistanis are migrating to Europe succesfully.”

Appalled, Harry Theocharous tweeted: “Pakistanis celebrating the fires.. ‘Allah is taking revenge on Greeks’. Disgusting!! These people are given shelter after running away from their country.”

We all share Mr Theocharous’s pain and revulsion. Unfortunately, Mr Theocharous and his fellow kindhearted Greeks still think that these poor Pakistanis were in need of shelter and were running away from their country. They, and all so-called Muslim “migrants,” are part of an Islamic invasion of non-Muslim lands that has been going on since the very beginning of Islam. They call it making hijra, that is, invading places that are not Muslim and turning them into Muslim places with Islamic laws and mores. It is what their religion and its holy texts command them to do. The local population, in this case the Greeks, they will wear down, which is what they’re doing now, until their society crumbles and they can take it over. At that point, the Greeks who refuse to become Muslims either are made dhimmis (people whose lives and property are forfeit; not protected people) or are killed. All of this is high Islamic virtue, most pleasing to their Allah.

The problem Greece now faces goes way deeper than a few barbarian Pakistanis and their repulsive celebrations. The process of transformation into Islam begins the moment the first Muslims land in your country, because they will observe at least some of the laws of Islam, in which case, “areas where Muslims reside and there is a remnant of Islam’s rules – even if this is limited to marriages and what pertains to them, for example – are considered Muslim lands.” Therefore, “there is virtually no country on the face of the earth where a Muslim has an excuse to behave differently than he would in an Islamic country.” (See Reliance of the Traveller, Appendix W43.5). By the time the people that the kind Mr Theocharous gave shelter to constructed their first mosque in Greece, the country was already on an inexorable slide into Islam. That slide began when the first Muslim in Greece was allowed to do the first Islamic thing.

It is not a question of whether this or that particular Muslim believes it or not, wants it or not, whether they think their behaviour is good or bad, or how devout or lax they are. There is an unbreakable bond between those who wield the sword and those who do not; between those who invade non-Muslims lands, and those who find themselves already there. According to Qur’an 8:72,

Indeed, those who believed and left their homes and waged jihad with their wealth and their lives for the sake of Allah, and those who took them in and helped them, these people are protecting friends one of another. And those who believed but did not leave their homes, you have no duty to protect them until they leave their homes, but if they seek help from you in the matter of religion, then it is your duty to help, except against a people between whom and you there is a treaty. Allah is the seer of what you do.

This is what makes nonsense of the supposed distinction between “moderate Muslims” and “radical Muslims.” For jihad and hijra to succeed, each needs the other and Islam needs both. They all, wherever in the world they may be, in the past, present or future, play a clearly-defined role integrated with all other roles, whether they are aware of it or not.

Allah has been taking revenge on the Greeks – and on all non-Muslims – for well over a thousand years. For all the shelter that Mr Theocharous thinks he is giving these Muslims, they have nothing to be thankful for, because Mr Theocharous and his fellow Greeks are non-Muslims in a Muslim land. For that Allah will take revenge. Pakistani hijra invaders have been “the best of people” in Greece for years and doing everything to make sure that their intended future dhimmis get used to the idea. It is well past time that the Greeks took revenge on Allah…

Greek City Times reports:

Greece has reportedly cancelled the visas of hundreds of Pakistanis, and those who migrate or work in the Mediterranean country will be subjected to more stringent checks.

Directus quoted Pakistani media as saying: “The Greek embassy in Islamabad has so far cancelled the visas of hundreds of poor Pakistanis. These Pakistanis get Greek visas by paying 2 to 5 million rupees. When a visa is issued from Greece, the Greek Embassy cancels it. A big injustice to those innocent poor who pay money to get a visa first for work. And the Greek embassy in Islamabad cancels visas.”

Please don’t stop there.

Geert Wilders: Use Referendums to Combat Mass Muslim Mygration

Bat Ye’or in her interviews, articles and books, especially Eurabia, published a decade ago, warned us about the bureaucratic and political elite in the EU abetting mass Muslim immigration leading to ultimate Islamization and loss of Western foundational values. Now, in the midst of the wave of over a half million Muslim asylum seekers flooding Europe, these political elite are like the proverbial deer frozen in the headlights of an oncoming vehicle unwilling to address this threat.  Geer Wilders, leader of the Freedom Party  in The Netherlands has written an op-ed in the Dutch publication, Volkskrant, this past Thursday about mandatory public referendums on critical issues, such as addressing the wave of Muslim asylum seekers. NL Times published a digest of his proposal, “Wilders calls for binding referendums on populist issues:”

PVV leader Geert Wilders wants the Netherlands to introduce more and binding referendums in which citizens can have their say in policy. According to him, this is necessary because “time and again”the“political elite does exactly the opposite of what people want”.

With these statements, Wilders is pointing to the sometimes fierce disagreements about the Netherlands sheltering asylum seekers. “The asylum crisis is a symptom of a far deeper malady”, he wrote. “Namely a political elite that has lost touch with the people. Nowhere is it more evident than in the asylum debate. Most Dutch realize that mass immigration is not an enrichment but leads to loss of prosperity, security and identity.”

Wilders wants the Netherlands to follow Switzerland’s example. The country often holds referendums and maintains a form of direct democracy. “Dutch should [have] the chance more often to directly decide about their [positions] in referendums.” he wrote. “The Swiss are a proud and patriotic people who will never sell out the wills to Brussels. We can learn a lot from them.”

The PVV leader calls the referendum on the association agreement with Ukraine on April 6th a “good start”, but he wants referendums to be the rule, not the exception. “And binding, so the government has to consider the results.”

Wilders believes that it is time for a clean sweep. “The present rulers have brought the Netherlands to the brink of collapse. The regime in The Hague is unworldly and no longer speaks on behalf of the people.” he writes. “Once the Tweede Kamer [Dutch Parliament] is elected, politicians know today that they can do what they want uncorrected for four years and ignore the people. It is time to renew our democracy.”

Geert Wilders’ Anti-Islamization Immigration Stand Resonates Across Europe

Geert Wilders, leader of the Freedom Party (PVV) in the Netherlands is being investigated for the second time in five years by Dutch prosecutors for  alleged hate speech during  his March 2014 local election campaign rally statement of “fewer Moroccans”.  This comes while his ratings in Dutch polls has rocketed him to the top with fully 30 seats in the Hague parliament, if snap elections were held.  That is more than the combined seats currently held by the ruling Rutte coalition of the PvdA and VVD parties.  Note  this remark: “The short message of PVV-leader Geert Wilders to the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte: ‘The revolution in The Netherlands has started now, Mark.”

Wilders drew attention to that irony in a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) op-ed, “Talking About the Moroccan Issue is not A Crime”.  Wilders is exercising free speech, something that Americans take for granted as a right guaranteed under the First Amendment of the US Constitution.  Wilders’ message about “fewer Moroccans” reflects the social consequences of permissive mass Muslim immigration undermining the social fabric of foundational  Western values of, liberty, freedom and tolerance. In Holland’s case it is exemplified by the rejection of those values by the Dutch Moroccan émigré community that even Dutch liberal parties have begrudgingly come to recognize.

What Wilders’ PVV and other parties in EU countries deemed ‘far right” have drawn attention to is the seeds of destruction of national values from compliance with UN humanitarian refugee programs straining resources and social welfare budgets caused by Jihadist warfare in the Middle East.  That is reflected in the rallies in Dresden and throughout major cities in Germany this Christmas season by the Pegida movement (Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the West).

As Al Jazeera reported Pegida rallies for “the right to preserve and protect our Christian-Jewish dominated West culture”, and against parallelgesellschaft – a German term used to describe immigrant communities that maintain their cultural norms and don’t integrate in local society.”  The third mass Pegida rally of more than 17,500 occurred Monday night before the Semper Opera House in Dresden where the Pegida movement arose in October. The trigger for Pegida was the more than 200,000 Syrian refugees granted asylum by Germany. Recently, the short lived Swedish Social Democrat liberal government fell on a no confidence vote allegedly provoked by the anti-immigration Swedish Democrat party. It had forged an alliance with center right parties in Sweden’s parliament over the issue of a ballooning social welfare budget to accommodate 80,000 Syrian war asylumees.

Wilders’ WSJ op-ed reflects the Dutch unease with the policies of the ruling coalition government in the Hague  Parliament. Those concerns have  that has now cross the EU and even here in America to comply with UN humanitarian refugee standards.  The subsequent generations of Muslim émigrés in host EU countries have led to spikes in Antisemitism, Synagogue fire bombings, allegations of sexual assault and grooming of non-Muslim women, tolerance of Shariah law in so-called Muslim dominated “no go areas”, murders perpetrated in the name of Jihad against Jews and others.  The specter stalking across the EU landscape of 28 members is the threat of homegrown Jihadists as returning veterans from the barbaric Salafist Islamic State.  That threat was crystallized by the murders of Israeli tourists and workers at the Brussels Municipal Jewish Museum by returning Syrian war French jihadist Mehdi Nemmouchet.

The large Muslim émigré communities in the EU were the results of granting host country citizenship coupled with the deficit in manpower to rebuild Europe following World War II. It was also a reflection  of the Eurabia paradigm articulated by the scholar Bat Ye’or  driven by OPEC control  over the  World’s and EU’s energy needs that arose during the October War of 1973. That led to the EC and the EU ‘accommodation’ of  Organization of Islamic Cooperation demands for tolerance of Sharia Blasphemy codes  demanded  by burgeoning Muslim émigré communities under the guise of host country hate laws.

That is the wind behind Wilders’ WSJ op–ed and the sudden emergence of groups like Pegida in Germany, and anti-Mass immigration parties in Denmark, Austria and Sweden.

In the Netherlands, as in many other Western European countries right now, problems arise when Muslim immigrants refuse to assimilate and integrate into the wider community. In our case I referred specifically to the Moroccans not because I have anything against them generally but because they are one of the largest immigrant groups here and are over represented in our crime and welfare statistics.

Moroccans are suspects in violent robberies 22 times as often as indigenous Dutch. Between 1996 and 2010, more than 60% of the Moroccan male youths born in 1984 had at least once been suspected of a crime, a rate three times as high as their indigenous counterparts. … According to Dick Schoof, the Dutch national coordinator for counterterrorism and security, Moroccans also account for three-quarters of all Dutch Muslims who leave for Syria to wage jihad.

For almost a decade, my party has proposed three measures to address this issue. First, we want an end to immigration from Muslim countries. Second, we want to expel all criminals of foreign nationality and, for those offenders who have dual nationality, deprive them of their Dutch citizenship, sending them back to the country of their other nationality. Third, we want to encourage the voluntary repatriation of non-Western immigrants.

The prosecutor’s decision can’t be seen as being anything but politically motivated, especially when he has refused to prosecute two leading politicians of the governing Labor Party, Diederik Samsom and Hans Spekman, for similar statements on Moroccans. Mr. Samsom said that Moroccans have an “ethnic monopoly” on street crime, while Mr. Spekman said that Moroccans who don’t abide by the law have to be “humiliated in front of their own people.”

Polls have indicated that more than 43% of Netherlanders agree with me…. I was thus expressing the feelings of millions in my country. In a democracy, a public debate about important political issues, such as “the Moroccan issue,” shouldn’t be restricted by criminalizing the expression of certain problems and policy proposals.

Prosecuting me as an elected politician for expressing the opinions of my constituents is absurd. Excluding certain problems from the political debate by making it a crime to discuss them won’t lead to the disappearance of these concerns, let alone contribute to a solution. This prosecution, moreover, is also dangerous. People will begin to lose their trust in the democratic process. Festering political problems do not go away simply because they are kept in a dark corner. I wish the Dutch public prosecutor had been wise enough to see that.
