Pentagon “smoking gun” email implicates Hillary Clinton

On December 8, 2015, Judicial Watch (JW) issued a press release about a long sought Pentagon email sent to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and aide, Jake Sullivan, from Chief of Staff Jeremy Bash  to Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta on the evening of September 11th, 2012. The Bash Pentagon email was sent just after the attack by Ansar al-Sharia and others at the Benghazi Special Missions Compound. The JW release noted:

Judicial Watch today released a new Benghazi email from then-Department of Defense Chief of Staff Jeremy Bash to State Department leadership immediately offering “forces that could move to Benghazi” during the terrorist attack on the U.S. Special Mission Compound in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. In an email sent to top Department of State officials, at 7:19 p.m. ET, only hours after the attack had begun, Bash says, “we have identified the forces that could move to Benghazi. They are spinning up as we speak.” The Obama administration redacted the details of the military forces available, oddly citing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) exemption that allows the withholding of “deliberative process” information.

Bash’s email seems to directly contradict testimony given by then-Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta before the Senate Armed Services Committee in February 2013. Defending the Obama administration’s lack of military response to the nearly six-hour-long attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.  Panetta claimed that “time, distance, the lack of an adequate warning, events that moved very quickly on the ground prevented a more immediate response.”

The first assault occurred at the main compound at about 9:40 pm local time – 3:40 p.m. ET in Washington, DC.  The second attack on a CIA annex 1.2 miles away began three hours later, at about 12 am local time the following morning – 6 p.m. ET.

Thanks to Tom Fitton and Chris Farrell at Washington, DC-based JW, we now know that U.S. special operations assets were “spinning up” to go to the aid of beseiged U.S. personnel in Benghazi within hours of the attack on the evening of September 11, 2012. If launched that operation might also have spared the lives of former Navy Seals and CIA contractors Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods who were killed in a mortar attack of suspicious origins on the morning of September 12.  Did Former Secretary of State Clinton, currently 2016 Democrat Presidential front runner deny release of those special operator assets?

Doubtless we and others in attendance will ask questions about the Pentagon and other Clinton private server classified emails.

The House Special Benghazi Committee under Chairman, Trey Gowdy (R-SC) has acquired the alleged  “smoking gun” email  prior to Mrs. Clinton’s October 22, 2015 testimony, but was missing key evidence they needed to be able to question her effectively about it. Since the Committee member Rep. Lynn Westmoreland went to Africom headquarters in early December to interview top officials and line officials, hopefully they now have that evidence. The Pentagon email raises questions that need answers, if the American public is to assess the integrity and truthfulness of both Ms. Clinton and former Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta.

It shows Mrs. Clinton gave the “stand-down” order

Touted by FoxNews as a “possible smoking gun,” the email from Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s chief of staff shows that special operations teams within a few hours flight from Benghazi were preparing to deploy as early as 7 PM Washington time on the night of the attacks, well within the time needed to get to Benghazi before the deadly mortar strike that killed U.S. Navy Seals Glen Doherty and Ty Woods.

You would think such a key piece of evidence would have been the first thing the State Department turned over to Congressional investigators. After all, it establishes that help was “on the way” to our diplomats and special operators and intelligence officers under siege.

Panetta aide Jeremy Bash emailed Mrs. Clinton’s top aides at 7:09 PM, to let them know that quick reaction forces, then stationed in Europe, were “spinning up as we speak” to deploy to Benghazi.

“Assuming Principals agree to deploy these elements, we will ask State to secure the approval from host nation,” Bash wrote. Please advise how you wish to convey that approval to us.”

Bash said he had just tried to call them at State, but that they were all in a meeting with Secretary Clinton, hence the email.

We know from the timeline submitted to Congress by the Defense Department exactly which forces Bash was referring to. They included a Delta Force hostage rescue team based in Fort Bragg, North Carolina that was on call 24/7, two Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) platoons based in Rota, Spain, and the Commander’s In Extremis Force (CIF) for European Command, also known as C-110.

C-110 was a fifty-man team of Special Operations troops with their own airlift, specially composed to be able to respond to precisely the type of emergency that was then occurring in Benghazi.

They were trained in hostage rescue operations and “hot” extractions. This was the Unit most suitable for Benghazi. When they got word to start “spinning up,” they were in Croatia on a training mission, just a two-to-three hour flight from Benghazi.

As Bash sent his email, General Carter Ham, commander of Africa Command (Africom), initiated the process to transfer them from Eucom to Africom, temporarily placing them under his direct orders. The Unit commander ordered his men to begin loading their gear into their C-130s. All they needed was the go-ahead from State.

And that’s where it died. Hillary Clinton did not want U.S. Special Operations forces coming into Libya with “guns ablazing.” Instead of flying directly to Benghazi, C-110 was told to “stage” in Sigonella, Italy. Meanwhile, Panetta counter-manded General Ham’s order, and returned C-110 to the authority of EUCOM.

This is the key piece of information Mrs. Clinton and her protectors have fought tooth and nail to keep from Congress and the U.S. public until now. Why? Because it contradicts all the earlier timelines presented by the State Department, the CIA, and the Department of Defense, and shows that U.S. forces could have rescued our men in Benghazi before the fateful 5 AM mortar strike, if only Mrs. Clinton had given the go-ahead. Only a lawsuit by Judicial Watch forced its release.

I investigated this timeline and Mrs. Clinton’s role in blocking military assets from reaching Benghazi in my book Dark Forces: the Truth About What Happened in Benghazi. I interviewed senior Africom commanders, unit commanders, spec-ops officers and others with direct knowledge of the U.S. Forces available for deployment that night.

In the redacted version of his testimony that was ultimately released by the House Armed Services Committee, General Ham said the main reason he didn’t go balls to the wall to get forces to Benghazi was simple. “We were never asked,” he said.

Pathetic, but true.

The Bash email shows that the Pentagon was asking – two hours earlier than previous timelines have revealed. So far, the State Department has not released the response that Mrs. Clinton’s minions sent back to Bash. But we know what it was: stand down.

Glen Doherty and Ty Woods soon found out what it was as well.

Timmerman’s accusation begs the question of was there a stand down order issued by Clinton?

Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) Demands Influx of Muslim Refugees Cease

The genocide of Syrian and Assyrian Christians by ISIL, Al Q’ieda, and Muslim Brotherhood trained Radical Islamic Terrorists, on the Plains of Ninveh in Iraq, has resulted in 3.5 million Muslim and Christian refugees seeking relief.  In addition to the hundreds of thousands Muslim refugees who have already been given entry into the U.S. by Obama, more than 360,000 Muslim refugees are being targeted for additional resettlement in the U.S. by the UN Resettlement Program.  Obama is encouraging the acceptance of more Muslim refugees, for resettlement in the U.S., than all the other countries in the world combined.  When the UN Muslim Resettlement Program began, it was run and controlled by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by agencies of her State Department.  Obama directed Hillary to let the Muslim refugees enter the U.S. without slowing the process down, by the time consuming investigation of their backgrounds to determine if they had terrorist ties.  On Obama’s orders, Hillary placed all entering Muslims on a fast track to obtain U.S. citizenship.  Obama ordered Hillary to resettle & integrate the Muslim refugees in communities throughout the U.S. without informing elected state and city officials and local law enforcement officials where they were being resettled; this has been going since Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State.

George Soros’ is funding the resettlement of Muslim Refugees thru his organization, Welcoming America, and Welcome America has been working with LA Raza to also integrate millions of Illegal Aliens to be resettled throughout the U.S. with the funding from George Soros’ Open Society Institute, without informing elected state and city officials and local law enforcement officials where they are being resettled.  Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX) sent a letter to the White House on January 28th citing “serious national security concerns” about the UN Refugee Program which is resettling and integrating Muslim refugees in communities throughout the U.S. without investigating their backgrounds to determine if they have terrorist ties, and implored Obama not to let it become a “back door for Jihadists.”

For the first time in 6 years only “ONE” of the 435 U.S. Congressmen, Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC), is demanding that Secretary of State John Kerry immediately cease the hidden location where Muslim refugees will be resettled in his Congressional District!  Cong Gowdy is demanding that a list of specific questions be answered (listed in the below listed article) directly by Secretary of State Kerry, himself, and that all resettlement activity of Muslim refugees in the Spartanburg, SC UN Resettlement Program cease until he receives a personal response to his questions from Kerry.  Cong Gowdy demanded that South Carolina State and city officials be provided with specific details about who is going to pay for the health care, resettlement costs, transportation costs, education of refugee children, the welfare costs of refugee families, food stamps, and housing costs of thousands of Muslim refugees. We strongly recommend that all Americans write their Congressional representatives and demand that they each ask Secretary of State Kerry to cease the resettlement of Muslim refugees in their Congressional Districts, until Kerry answers the below listed questions posed by Cong Trey Gowdy.

The FBI has repeatedly warned the Obama administration and the State Department that there is a strong likelihood that ISIL and Al Q’ieda  has ordered its trained Radical Islamic Terrorists to sneak into the U.S. posing as “refugees”, as they have been doing in large numbers in Norway and Europe.  Yet, Obama has refused to direct the U.S. Immigration Service to complete background investigations on Muslim refugees, to determine if the hundreds of thousands incoming Muslim refugees have terrorist ties, before they are allowed to enter the US thru the UN Refugee Program.  That refusal of Obama to do background investigations on Muslim refugees, to ensure that they do not have terrorist ties, before being allowed entry into the U.S., and before they are integrated in thousands of communities across the U.S., is a further display of Obama’s gross negligence in upholding his oath of office to protect the security of Americans citizens, and the National Security interest of the United States.

The stealthy massive influx of only Muslim Refugees from the UN Refugee Program has been underway for 6 years, resettling hundreds of thousands of refugees in unsuspecting communities in 49 states, while keeping elected officials in thousands of cities throughout the Republic in the dark about where they are being resettled.  According to the Greek Catholic Relief Agency, to date, 300,000+ Syrian and Assyrian Christians refugees are not being allowed to enter the United States.  However, thousands of Muslim refugees are being allowed to enter from Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Bosnia, Libya, Egypt, and Yemen, and the FBI has developed and prosecuted terrorist cases where Muslim refugees, with terrorist ties, have been charged and convicted with providing material support for foreign Radical Islamic Terrorists organizations.

To date, it is estimated that 180+ Muslim refugees, who obtained US citizenship, have left the United States to train with ISIL, Al Q’ieda, and el-Shabaab, and participated in the ongoing genocide of Christians by burning them alive, shooting them, beheading them, crucifying them, raping & murdering young Christians girls, and selling Christians women into slavery.  The Pope, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Royal Family in England, the UK Prime Minister, the King of Jordan, the President of Egypt, the President of Kurdistan, the Prime Minister of Japan, the President of Russia, the Prime Minister of Australian, President George W. Bush, Reverend Billy Graham, the Patriarch of the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Prime Ministers of every NATO nations, the Prime Minister of Israel, Christian Religious Leaders of every denomination from throughout the world, the current crop of candidates seeking to run for President of the United States, 51 Congressmen who petitioned Obama, U.S. Senators, Christians worldwide, and the Secretary General of the United Nations have all expressed their revulsion of the barbaric massacres being prosecuted by ISIL, Al Q’ieda, and members of the Muslim Brotherhood.  They have all raised their voices in unison to demand that the bloody genocide of Christians in Africa, Syria, and on the Plains of Nineveh in Iraq stop.    To date Obama has refused to condemn the wholesale genocide of Christians by Radical Islamic Terrorists and is the only leader of a non-communist country who has not called for a stop to the bloody genocide——Obama’s continued silence is deafening and says a great deal about who Obama really is!   

President Putin of Russia told reporters, “As to the Middle East and Christians, the situation is terrible. We have spoken about it many times and we believe that the international community is not doing enough to protect the Christian population of the Middle East (Putin is speaking out and more concerned about ISIL’s genocide of Christians; Obama refuses to speak out against the genocide of Christians by Radical Islamic Terrorists).  Many of those newly trained Radical Islamic Terrorists with US citizenship have been returning to the U.S., without criminal charges being filed against them by the Obama administration for being agents of foreign terrorist organizations.  They should be incarcerated, tried as anti-American terrorists, sentenced to prison terms for sedition, have their passports and citizenships voided, and when their prison terms are completed they should be removed from the United States for life.

ISIL, Al Q’ieda, and el-Shabaab Islamic Terrorists have not only been entering the United States thru the UN Muslim Refugee Program, they have been targeting the wide open southern border for entry over the last 6 years (the Director of the FBI recently informed the nation that the FBI has identified Islamic Terrorist Sleeper Cells in all 50 states).  In October 2014, Congressman Duncan D. Hunter, Capt-USMR (R-CA-52), an endorsed Combat Veteran For Congress, notified the national press corps that U.S. Border Patrolmen warned him that there were Radical Islamic Terrorist training camps south of the Mexican border.  But that report was quickly covered up, because the Obama administration, the Democratic and Republican Congressional leadership, and the left of center liberal media establishment did not want to expose just how dangerous to the National Security of the Republic, that Obama and the Congress’ continued failure to close the wide open southern border has become, and just how dangerous it was  to the safety of the lives of innocent American men, women, and children.

Now 6 months after Cong Duncan Hunter’s warning about Terrorist training camps south of the Mexican border, Judicial Watch completed a detailed report that ISIL is operating a base terrorist camp about 8 miles from the US border city of El Paso, Texas, in an area known as “Anapra”, situated just west of Ciudad Juarez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Another ISIL base terrorist camp is located west of Ciudad Juarez, in Puerto Palomas, close to the New Mexico cities of Columbus and Deming, and those U.S. cities are being targeted for easy entry into the United States.  In a Joint Operation, the Mexican Army and Federal Law Enforcement Officers reported they discovered documents in Arabic and Urdu with detailed plans for Fort Bliss, Texas, where the 1st Armored Division is based (the Joint Operation sweep recovered Muslim prayer rugs, supplies, and many documents).  The Republican and Democratic leadership of the Congress’ refuses to close the wide open southern border in the same manner as the San Diego Border Sector has been securely closed for many years (Congressman Duncan L. Hunter/Ret, a US Army Vietnam Combat Ranger, before he retired from Congress, ensured that the San Diego Border Sector was securely closed, when he was Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee).

ISIL, Al Q’ieda, and el-Shabaab have been infiltrating well trained Radical Islamic Terrorist thru the wide open U.S. southern border with impunity, entering very easily as chaperons with thousands of children from Central America (those children are carrying many infectious diseases, and are being given immediate entry, then given immediate release to go anywhere they want to go to in the U.S.; they are still not being medically quarantined in violation of Federal Immigration Laws). Obama, and the Democrat and Republican leaders of Congress, continue to look the other way while allowing hundreds of thousands infected children from Central America and an unknown numbers of trained Radical Islamic Terrorists killers to enter the U.S. to murder unsuspecting American men, women, and children.  They are complicit in their “gross negligence” and are guilty of perpetrating “crimes against the American people” by their continued “gross negligence” in intentionally keeping the southern border wide open—it is a violation of their oaths of office to protect the lives of defenseless American men, women, and children.

A  major security problem, that the U.S. and NATO nations are faced with, is that anyone holding a passport from a NATO nation, has cross border access to any other NATO member nations as a courtesy, and by simply presenting their passports are given entry.  Since thousands of Europeans and 180+ Americans have been recruited by ISIL to travel to Plains of Nineveh to execute the on-going genocide against Christians in Syria and Iraq, those trained ISIL Radical Islamic Terrorists holding a NATO nation passport, will be allowed entry by Custom Officers into the US (Egypt recently accused Turkey of issuing 10,000 passports to ISIL Radical Islamic Terrorists who would also have access to every NATO nation).  Despite the fact that the external security threat from ISIL Al Q’ieda, and Muslim Brotherhood trained Radical Islamic Terrorists continues to increase, Obama continues to minimize that growing and very dangerous external threat, and refuses to let anyone in the US government identify the true nature of the threat as being from Radical Islamic Terrorists.

The Obama administration is not arresting many of the returning 180+ Americans with passports who traveled to the Middle East to be trained as terrorists by ISIL, is resettling & integrating hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees in 49 states while hiding where they are being resettled from state & local elected officials & law enforcement agencies, is refusing to investigate the background on hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees flooding into the U.S. from the UN Refugees Resettlement Program to determine if they have terrorist ties, is refusing to secure the wide open southern border thru which ISIL & Al Q’ieda Radical Islamic Terrorists have been entering the US, and has prevented the U.S. government (Intelligence Agencies, the FBI, the CIA, the DIA, the NSA, and the US Armed Forces) from identifying the major threat to the security of the Republic as Radical Islamic Terrorists who have been perpetrating genocide daily against thousands of Christians in the Middle East and in Africa.  The most serious threat to the security of the Republic and the lives of all Americans are the policies that the occupant of the Oval Office has put in place over the last 6 years, and the leftists, Marxists, Communist, and the members of the Muslim Brotherhood he has appointed to positions of leadership in the Obama administration (one of the Communist member of the Obama administration who was unmasked, Van Jones, was forced to resign).

CONGRESSMAN DEMANDS ANSWERS ON INFLUX OF SYRIAN REFUGEES

Republican Congressman wants end to secrecy in choosing resettlement sites

Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., has sent a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry demanding information about the reported pending move of dozens of foreign refugees from Syria, North Africa and elsewhere into South Carolina.

Gowdy is chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee responsible for the refugee resettlement program overseen by the State Department. Yet, he says in the letter, he was kept totally in the dark about the proposed resettlement of refugees into his own district in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Ann Corcoran, a longtime watchdog over the refugee program and author of the Refugee Resettlement Watch blog, says Gowdy is the first member of Congress to demand answers to basic questions about this program since she took up her crusade eight years ago to expose secrecy, fraud and lax oversight in the program.

The program has flown under the radar for more than 25 years but controversy flared in February when a top FBI counter-terrorism official, Michael Steinbach, testified before the House Homeland Security committee and said the U.S. has no way to vet the Syrian refugees for possible connections to the Islamic State, also called ISIS, and other terrorist organizations. As WND reported, Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, sent a letter to the White House Jan. 28 citing “serious national security concerns” about the Syrian refugee program and imploring Obama to not let it become a “back door for jihadists.”

In fact, dozens of Islamic refugees from Iraq, Somalia and other countries have already been charged and convicted of providing material support to foreign terrorist organizations while others have left the country to fight for ISIS in Syria and al-Shabaab in Somalia.

Now, Gowdy has taken the fight for information on exactly how this program works to a new level, demanding answers for the Spartanburg resettlement from none other than John Kerry.

But he needs to go one step further, Corcoran said. As chairman of the subcommittee charged with overseeing this program, Gowdy must demand answers for the communities in all 49 states that participate in the U.S. refugee program, not just his own state or district. That would require holding hearings, she said, because this issue affects communities across the U.S., not just Spartanburg.

“Maybe due to Gowdy’s swift and decisive action, other communities, which are being kept in the dark, will get some relief,” she said. “This is the first time I’ve ever seen anyone in Congress do this. Trey Gowdy has directed a letter to John Kerry asking all the right questions.”

The U.S. has been taking in an average of about 70,000 refugees per year over the past few years. The refugees are placed in housing and schools and given free healthcare. They are put on a fast track toward full U.S. citizenship, often within five years.

Gowdy has asked Kerry to provide answers on how Spartanburg was selected for the opening of a new resettlement office to be operated by World Relief. He wants to know when the refugees will arrive, how many, and from what countries. He also demanded to know what services will be required, the cost, and how much of the cost will be charged to the federal government.

This is an issue that affects almost every state. The U.S. State Department works with the United Nations to resettle refugees into every state except Wyoming. Charitable organizations such as World Relief, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, Church World Services, Episcopal Migration Ministries and the International Rescue Committee operate resettlement offices in 190 communities across the U.S. All of these are private charitable agencies but they receive millions of dollars in federal grants to support their efforts.

WND requested comment from Gowdy Tuesday morning.

“We don’t have any comment at this point beyond our letter sent yesterday,” said Gowdy’s press secretary, Amanda Duvall.

Last week WND reported on the secretive nature of the process in which cities and towns are chosen for the resettlement of foreign refugees, many of them Muslims from areas known to be in upheaval fighting ISIS and other terrorist organizations. Syria, Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq, for example, all have devolved into civil sectarian strife, causing the displacement of large numbers of people. Many Christians have been driven from their homes in Iraq and Syria, yet the U.S. has been taking in mostly Muslims from these countries.

And the FBI is not the only intelligence operation warning about the strong likelihood that ISIS will send its militants to Western countries posing as “refugees.”

The Norway’s Police Intelligence Service said in November 2014 that its main concern was individuals misusing the refugee system to bring Syria’s violence to Norway, reported the Nordic Page.

Refugee resettlements are conducted in the U.S. by nine private agencies that contract with the U.S. government, and six of the nine have religious affiliations. These nine contractors in turn subcontract with more than 350 other charitable organizations and churches.

Dear Secretary Kerry,

I write regarding the potential resettlement of refugees to the Spartanburg, South Carolina, area. It has been reported by media outlets, and confirmed by staff within your Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), that a resettlement agency submitted a proposal to open an office in Spartanburg. In addition, it is my understanding that the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) approved the request to resettle a certain number of refugees in Spartanburg.

As the Member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing the Spartanburg area, I am deeply concerned about the lack of notice, information, and consultation afforded to me and my constituents about this issue. As such, please provide the information requested and answers to questions below:

1. Please provide a copy of the proposal submitted by the resettlement agency and any subsequent correspondence between your Department and the resettlement agency.
2. When was the resettlement agency’s proposal submitted? When was it approved by USRAP?
3. How were the claims made in the proposal as to Spartanburg’s readiness to resettle refugees verified for accuracy by USRAP prior to approval?
4. What, if any, steps were taken to notify and consult with local government officials (elected or otherwise) prior to the approval of the resettlement proposal? If so, who was contacted and did they approve the proposal?
5. Which officials/employees of the South Carolina State government reviewed and approved the resettlement agency’s proposal? When was such approval given? Were these officials/employees contacted by USRAP to independently ensure approval was given?
6. What types of, and how much, funding will the resettlement agency receive from the federal government? How much of that amount must be provided to the refugees and how much can be kept by the resettlement agency?
7. When are the first refugees expected to arrive in Spartanburg?
8. What federal, state, and local benefits are the refugees entitled to receive a) upon designation as a refugee and b) upon resettlement in the Spartanburg area?
9. How many refugees will be resettled in the Spartanburg area?
10. How are the refugees chosen to resettle in Spartanburg?
11. What is the country of origin of each of the refugees to be resettled in the Spartanburg area?
12. Who is responsible for ensuring housing, employment, and education services for the resettled refugees?
13. Who is responsible for ensuring resettled refugees maintain employment, as opposed to tracking employment for the first few months after being resettled?
14. How many of the refugees to be resettled in the Spartanburg area are of the age to attend K–12 schools? Of those, how many need the local government to provide interpreters or teachers who speak the native language of the refugee for the students?
15. Do any of the refugees to be resettled in the Spartanburg area have criminal convictions? If so, for what crimes has each been convicted?
16. Please explain the background check process performed on refugees scheduled to be resettled in Spartanburg.
17. Will this be the only time refugees will be resettled to the Spartanburg area pursuant to the agency’s proposal? Or can additional refugees be resettled pursuant to the proposal?

I request that any plans to resettle refugees in the Spartanburg, South Carolina, area be placed on hold until my constituents and I receive your substantive responses to the questions and information requested in this letter.

Additionally, before moving forward, both the Spartanburg community and I should have time to substantively review the information and be comfortable with the information provided.

As previously stated, I am troubled by the lack of notice and coordination with my office and the Spartanburg community, particularly local officials, regarding the plans to resettle refugees in the area. In that vein, I request at least one month’s notice prior to the arrival of the first refugee in the Spartanburg area. Exclusive: Confidential source reveals to me what really happened in Benghazi

Today as I returned from Detroit, I had a moment that I truly felt was God sent, as I don’t believe in coincidences. It happened on one of my flights, and it was two hours I will never forget.

I was seated beside someone who personally knew one of the men who was there on the roof in Benghazi. This person was excited to share with me the “ground truth” of what happened September 11, 2012.

My seat mate drew schematics to orient me to the “time and spacing” and the direction of the attack. I learned about the repeated orders to the men at the CIA annex to stand down and do nothing — thank God two of them, Glenn Doherty and Ty Woods, lived up to their code of honor and ran to the sound of the guns, resulting in their loss of life — but the preservation of life for others, their fellow Americans.

I learned about the proximity of the staging area of the attack to the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, and the attackers were indeed Ansar al-Sharia, a group affiliated with al-Qaida. I came to understand why Ambassador Chris Stevens was there in the first place and that he had in fact requested better security but was denied – the question is, by whom? And I learned that the Martyrs of 17 February Brigade were in charge of security and were the ones who opened the gates, then fled.

I learned there are those who are being threatened with their pensions being cut off if they come forth to speak.

And I learned, as I presumed, that there was a covert weapons scheme going on in Libya, Benghazi. We had been supplying radical Islamists with weapons against Libyan President Moammar Gadhafi, effectively supplying the enemy and destabilizing that country. And it seems that there was a CIA weapons buy-back program, the aim of which was to ship the retrieved weapons out of Libya through Turkey, and to the Islamist forces in Syria.

Benghazi and the operations in Libya are shrouded in a fog of lies, deceit, manipulation, threats, intimidation, coercion, abandonment, and worst of all, potentially treason.

No, it was not about a kidnapping scheme, it was about something, as I’ve stated, that will make Iran-Contra look like Romper Room. The web of lies spun is coming apart, and all other committee hearings on this matter should be shut down.

The House has established a Select Committee — quite telling that the same has not been done in the Senate — and those involved, to include the President, MUST appear before Rep. Trey Gowdy.

And to those Democrats appointed to the committee: if you seek to obstruct the revelation of the truth, you are complicit and guilty as well.

Am I afraid because of what I now know? Heck no. I’m honored to have been entrusted, so I for one can be on the right side of history.

To: The Chairman Trey Gowdy and the Select Committee on Benghazi

Your investigation is a huge relief to millions of Americans like me who have wondered and agonized over the past almost-two years about the actual events that happened before, during and after the September 11, 2012, attack in Benghazi, Libya, that resulted in the horrific murders of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, information officer Sean Smith, and embassy security personnel and former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.

Another State Department employee, diplomatic security agent David Ubben, was gravely injured while under attack with Woods and Doherty, but like other survivors he has been forbidden by the Obama Administration from speaking publicly about his ordeal.

However, as reported by Catherine Herridge of Fox News, when the late Florida Congressman Bill Young met Ubben at Walter Reed Medical Center last summer, he said that Ubben “emphasized the fact” that the attack on the Benghazi compound “was a very very military type of operation…they had knowledge of almost everything in the compound…they knew where the gasoline was, they knew where the generators were, they knew where the safe room was, they knew more than they should have about that compound.”

Will the Select Committee include the testimony of Ubben and the other muzzled victims and will it explore who sabotaged the Americans by revealing to the terrorists “more than they should have known about the compound”?

Of course, neither your Select Committee nor my letter to you would have seen the light of day if the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch had not been successful in their Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, which revealed “the smoking gun” e-mail in which Benjamin J. Rhodes, then-White House Deputy Strategic Communications Adviser laid out several goals for U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice to meet on the five Sunday-morning TV shows she was scheduled to appear on, chief of which was: “To underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy.”

According to Dick Morris, former advisor to President Bill Clinton, a full day and a half before Rhodes sent his email advising Susan Rice to blame the Benghazi attacks on the video, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used the identical language in a statement of her own.

This suggests, Morris says, “at the very least, a close coordination between and White House and Hillary Clinton to deceive the American people about the true nature of the attack in Benghazi. And it may also be evidence that Hillary Clinton engineered that decision immediately following the attacks. Was the cover-up Hillary’s idea?”

In addition, Morris is emphatic in saying that the CIA talking points were in no way related to the White House talking points, which seem to have been made up out of whole cloth.

Will the Select Committee vigorously investigate the allegation that this 19-month cover-up was instigated by Hillary Clinton? Alternatively, will you get to the bottom of who exactly created the fiction of the video?

On the Sunday morning talk shows, on September 16, 2012, Susan Rice obediently told the nation that the murderous Benghazi attack was the result of a demonstration in Cairo (that had spread to Benghazi) protesting an obscure anti-Muslim video, and not a highly organized terrorist offensive that was launched with the full knowledge – and possible collaboration? – of the White House in order to burnish Barack Obama’s reputation as a strong leader and thereby maximize his chances for reelection in the run-up to the 2012 presidential race. Those talking points were repeated for weeks on end by Barack Obama, Jay Carney, Hillary Clinton, and a media – save for a few exceptions – acting more like a protection racket than journalists

Among the top administration personnel who received the Rhodes memo were White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, then-White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer, and then-White House Senior Advisor and political strategist David Plouffe, all of whom – and others – launched a massive disinformation campaign that persisted until Rhodes’ incriminating e-mail surfaced last month and Speaker John Boehner backed a vote for a Select Committee, with subpoena power, to untangle almost two years worth of White House web-weaving.

Interestingly, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has been asking the State Department for Rhodes’ and other relevant e-mails since last August, but they were purposefully withheld.

Will the Select Committee address the criminal action involved in withholding evidence from a congressional committee and if such action is found will the consequences be commensurate with the crime?

According to blogger Jeff Dunetz, a State Department e-mail that was released by Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz on May 1, 2014, proves the State Department was certain on the day of the Benghazi attack that it was conducted by al Qaeda affiliate Ansar Al-Sharia. The e-mail was entitled “Libya update from Beth Jones” and was sent the very day of the attack, September 11, 2012.

Jones, who was then Assistant Secretary of State to Hillary Clinton, wrote in her e-mail: “the extremist group Ansar Al-Sharia has taken credit for the attack in Benghazi…”

Jones’ e-mail was copied to Deputy Secretary William Burns; Under Secretary for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman; Jake Sullivan, then-Deputy Chief of Staff (now national security advisor to VP Joe Biden); Under Secretary of State Patrick Kennedy; Cheryl Mills, then-Secretary Clinton’s Chief of Staff, and Victoria Nuland, then-State Dept. spokesperson (now Asst. Secretary of State).

The idea that the above CC list received Jones’ stunning report but that it somehow eluded Hillary Clinton, her boss, who proceeded to meet the grieving families, look in their eyes, and repeat the preposterous falsehood that the attack was the result of a video insulting to Muslims, simply begs credibility.

Will the Select Committee interview all of the above people to reinforce the fact that State knew immediately that it was Ansar Al-Sharia who attacked our citizens and that anyone who said otherwise committed perjury?

The kidnapping plan was ostensibly formulated and financed by then-President of Egypt Mohamed Morsi who, for three months prior to the attack, had been loudly demanding the release of the “Blind Sheik” Omar Abdel-Rahman, now serving a life sentence in North Carolina for his role as the mastermind of  the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993. In fact, Morsi assured hundreds of thousands of his supporters in Cairo that he would exact Rahman’s release, a promise he repeated just one week before the Benghazi assault.

A month earlier, in August 2012, Morsi’s de facto boss, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, the leader of al Qaeda, issued a Fatwa that was published worldwide and demanded that Muslims attack American citizens, interests, and military installations anywhere and everywhere for the purpose of freeing Rahman.

The objective of Morsi’s plan was to grab Ambassador Stevens, make sure that he was unharmed, and then exchange him for the blind sheik. The result, of course, would be that Morsi would get his sheik and Obama would look hold an elaborate Rose Garden ceremony in which he’d be seen as “heroic” for “saving” our ambassador – just weeks before the 2012 election!

Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Valerie Jarrett and Huma Abedin all have a close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Were they too abetting Morsi by doing Al-Zawahiri’s bidding? It appears that Al-Zawahiri was calling the shots and our White House was obeying his directives! It is not a stretch to imagine that Morsi set up the faux attack on our Cairo embassy to distract the media while his kidnapping plot was unfolding in Benghazi.

All this explains why Stevens’ repeated requests for additional security – on July 9, 2012; on August 16, 2012, when a classified cable, reported on by Fox News, warned Sec. Clinton and other State Department employees of an emergency meeting in Benghazi as a result of rapidly deteriorating security; and when Stevens screamed and pleaded for help while being dragged through the compound’s courtyard – were turned down by Sec. Clinton. Simply, the Benghazi facility had to be unprotected for the kidnappers to carry out their mission.

Does this not also explain why on the most provocative day of the year – September 11th – and in one of the most dangerous hotspots on earth, there was not only a complete lack of security in the Benghazi compound but why no rapid-response teams were sent immediately after the powers-that-be in the White House were notified of the attack?

And is it not now crystal clear why it took the FBI a full three weeks to visit the burned-out facility, conveniently giving Morsi’s operatives on the ground in Benghazi the opportunity to clean out and destroy any incriminating evidence?

Will the Select Committee demand all videotapes and transcripts of the night of the Benghazi attack, including of Drones, and conduct an in-depth examination of the ongoing relationship between the Obama administration and Mohamed Morsi, including assistance of any kind given to the deposed Egyptian president to this day?  

The ties of this administration to the Muslim Brotherhood are troubling to those of us who know of that organization’s philosophy and close ties to al Qaeda. Clearly, the words of Refaat Saïd – leader of Egypt’s Socialist party, al-Tagammu’, and previously close friend of former Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide, Mahdi Akef – must be taken literally:

“The organization of the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization, and anyone who asks either to reconcile with them, to join them or to ally with them is himself a terrorist.”

Both Walid Shoebat – a former Muslim Brotherhood member who converted to Christianity and now exposes the terrorists among us – here, and Pamela Geller, here, report that Rhodes’ ‘smoking gun’ email revealed the instruction to Susan Rice to blame the Benghazi attack on a video and also exposed a recipient of that e-mail named Mehdi K. Alhassani, the former leader of the Muslim Student Association, which is a Muslim Brotherhood front group.

“It is a mystery,” Geller says, “how Alhassani slipped through the cracks to become a Special Assistant to the Office of the Chief of Staff, National Security Council Staff, and Executive Office of the President,” adding that “it is unknown why a few hours before the Benghazi attack, Alhassani met in the White House with Samir Mayekar, a George Soros ‘fellow’ for an unscheduled visit.”

The American Thinker’s James Lewis says that most people are still missing the strategic meaning of Benghazi. “Under Obama we have secretly joined the terrorist side in the Jihad War. That is the strategic meaning of Benghazi…a forty-year policy led by the Left to favor Islamic fascism is not, repeat not, an accident.”

Lewis cites intelligence analyst and former CIA officer Clare Lopez and a group of distinguished retired military and intelligence experts “who released a statement last week that was quickly covered up by the media.” But Britain’s Daily Mail did report that after a seven-month review, the group determined that the Benghazi attack “could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn’t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier.”

According to Lopez, “the United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures.” She said the Obama administration tacitly approved the diversion of half of a billion dollars of Qatari arms shipment to al-Qaeda-linked militants” – arms that killed “Christian children in Syria and Kenya in the name of Allah.” The full report is here.

Further, Lewis makes this connection: “Huma [Abedin] was Hillary’s closest aide as Secretary of State, and therefore privy to numerous secrets. You can bet that Mohammed Morsi in Egypt knew all about the inner workings of Hillary’s State Department. Hillary was in charge during the Benghazi debacle. Just connect the dots.”

Walid Shoebat has connected a lot of dots and expands at length on Abedin and her extensive ties to the Muslim Brotherhood in “The Abedin Affairs with Al Saud.”

In addition, it is well known that Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Sec. of State Hillary Clinton and her chief-of-staff Huma Abedin enthusiastically supported Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood election and have worked vigorously against the Egyptian military that launched the successful coup d’ état that deposed Morsi in July of 2013. In fact, Abedin not only edited a Muslim Sisterhood magazine, but has close ties through her family to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Of great concern is the large number of sharia advisors that Barack Obama has appointed to high-security positions, including Homeland Security, as detailed by writer Leon Puissegur, who says that “their plans are to place their candidates into elections to win so they can destroy the Constitution and create a nation of Islamic laws!”

Journalist John Rossomando further documents the degree to which the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the Obama administration, including the White House.

And that is not to omit the fact that in 2011, as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton refused to designate Boko Haram, the al Qaeda affiliate, as a terrorist organization despite the repeated urging of the FBI, CIA, and DOJ and over a dozen senators – the same Boko Haram (which means “Western education is forbidden”) that just kidnapped 276 young Nigerian Christian girls with the goal of raping and enslaving them. No doubt the terrorist group used weapons that were never secured after Gaddafi’s ouster in Libya and made their way to Boko Haram. Was this yet another example of Sec. Clinton’s blind eye?

Will the Select Committee exhaustively explore the possibly seditious links between the current administration and with al Qaeda-affiliated Muslim Brotherhood and Boko Haram?

Initially, it appeared that the Morsi-orchestrated event went as planned, with a cell-phone video showing Stevens being removed from the charred building and the audio portion recording the voices of witnesses yelling, “Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar! He’s alive! He’s alive!” before whisking him off to an al Qaeda-operated hospital, where tragically he died.

In a damning report, Doug Ross confirms the kidnapping scenario and provides a detailed and Complete Benghazi Timeline.

With Stevens’ death, however, Morsi’s grand kidnapping scheme failed. But six long hours passed before anyone knew what had become of Ambassador Stevens. It appears that Morsi was waiting for word from his kidnapping squad on the ground so he could then inform his pals in the White House. But no word was forthcoming.

Journalist/author Jack Cashill is curious about what Obama did on September 11, 2012 and spells out an hour-by-hour scenario that includes where he wasn’t. According to national security spokesman, Tommy Vietor, Obama was not in the White House Situation Room where military strategy is planned.

It is of more than passing interest that blogger Dunetz reports that when Vietor spoke to Fox News’ Bret Baier a couple of weeks ago, he told the anchor that he himself was involved in editing the Benghazi talking points. But Mike Morell, deputy director of the CIA at the time, said in sworn testimony that except for changing one word, the White House had no role in changing the talking points. “Either Tommy Vietor lied to Bret Baier or Mike Morell lied during his testimony to Congress,” Dunetz writes.

Will the Select Committee definitively determine if Tommy Vietor lied or if Mike Morell committed perjury?

Cashill continues: “At 3:40 p.m. Washington time” “[Ambassador] Stevens called his number two man in Tripoli, Greg Hicks, and told him, `Greg, we’re under attack.’ At 4:05 p.m. the State Department Operations Center issued an alert to all relevant agencies: `U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi Under Attack.’ There was no lack of communication to the outside world.”

General Carter F. Ham, Commander of U.S. Africa Command, who was visiting the Pentagon, said that the fact attackers were using rocket-propelled grenades and well-aimed small arms fire made it clear to him that “this was certainly a terrorist attack…” He personally shared the news with General Martin E. Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and both “immediately” briefed then-Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.”

At 5 p.m. Obama met with Panetta and Dempsey in the White House for a prescheduled meeting, and he “authorized the pair to take relevant steps, leaving the specifics up to them. They had no further contact with the president that evening and none at all with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.”

“About 10 p.m. that evening,” Cashill says, “Obama made another phone call. Five months would pass before anyone admitted he did so…soon after that 10 p.m. phone call, Secretary Clinton released a memo on the Benghazi attack. The timing suggests she and Obama coordinated the blame-the-video misdirection during their call. To this point in the evening, no one in the military or on the ground in Libya had mentioned the video or suggested that the assault on the consulate was anything other than a coordinated attack.”

Cashill concludes that on the night of September 11, “Obama retreated…for the next two months he did what the Clintons did after the demise of TWA Flight 800: he just kicked the investigatory can down the road and hoped that the media would not call attention to the kicking. If the Clintons could get away with it, why not he?”

Will the Select Committee interview or re-interview Tommy Vietor, Gen. Martin Dempsey, Leon Panetta, Gen. Carter Ham, and, again, Hillary Clinton, to determine the accuracy of the above timeline and if there was any collaboration between Clinton and Obama in both (1) hatching the idea for the Benghazi attack, the better to satisfy Morsi’s goal of freeing the sheik, and (2) creating the idea of blaming the attack on an anti-Muslim video? Will the Select Committee determine if either Vietor or Morell lied? And will the Select Committee include the White House’s collaboration with the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi as a primary line of inquiry? In addition, instead of dispatching Drones for observation of the attack, on whose orders did General Ham fail to send out fighter jets for several low-flying passes over the Benghazi attack area to scare and drive off the terrorist attackers?

During the attack in Benghazi, no military force came to the rescue of Ambassador Stevens and the three other Americans who died.  Was the military given orders to stand down? While there are plenty of denials about this, including from our military, Chad Miller at www.dcclothesline.com has written that it might have been none other than Valerie Jarrett who issued such an order. He cites an August 2013 Rush Limbaugh broadcast in which the radio host presents a timeline of the evening of September 11, 2012, when Obama seemed to be missing in action.

Will the Select Committee determine who exactly is running the foreign policy of the United States of America? Is it White House advisor and assistant to the president Valerie Jarrett? Obama top political advisor David Axelrod? Top Democrat donor George Soros? The Muslim Brotherhood?

As reported by writer and private investigator Douglas Hagmann, a CIA whistleblower faces the ire of an angry Justice Department over Benghazi questions regarding illegal gun-running.

Hagmann reports that Robert “Tosh” Plumlee posted 11 “questions” to his Facebook page, which placed him under the threat of a subpoena by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to (1) legally silence him and (2) found out the sources of the information he revealed.

Here is a small sample of Plumlee’s questions:

  1. Is the United States secretly arming and supporting various factions of the Syrian Rebels with high caliber impact weapons from The United States arsenals?
  2. Will our troops one day again face these American made weapons on some foreign battlefield?
  3. Did our Ambassador and others, weeks before they were murdered, notify our State Department and CIA that Syrian Rebels had obtained US Weapons, including “Stinger missiles’ from Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, shipped from CIA safe houses?
  4. Were they told to “Stand Down?

Will the Select Committee investigate what the CIA was doing in Benghazi? Were guns being smuggled covertly and illegally from Benghazi through Turkey to the Syrian rebels – who were members of al Qaeda? And was Ambassador Stevens protesting that operation or facilitating the transfer? Will the Select Committee expose the fact that the al Qaeda jihadists that American taxpayers armed and financed to overthrow Gaddafi’s Libyan regime in October 2011 are the exact same jihadists who murdered the four Americans in Benghazi?

Chairman Gowdy, Americans are aware that for investigating this important event, you have received death threats from those who are deeply threatened by this line of inquiry. Please know that you and your committee members will remain in the thoughts and prayers of the liberty-loving people in our country.

If Democrats refuse to join – or choose to boycott – your efforts, as Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) so shamefully suggested on a recent news show, they will be viewed as aiding and abetting what appears to be a massive cover-up and therefore appropriately guilty by association.

In closing, I cite former U.S. attorney, prosecutor of the “Blind Sheik,” writer and author Andrew C. McCarthy, whose new book – Faithless Execution: Building the Political Case for Obama’s Impeachment – will be published June 3.

“The chief executive, James Madison asserted, would be wholly ‘responsible for [the] conduct’ of his subordinate officials. Therefore, it would ‘subject [the president] to impeachment himself, if he suffers them to perpetrate with impunity high crimes or misdemeanors against the United States, or neglects to superintend their conduct, so as to check their excesses…when AFRICOM abstains from battle, or Lois Lerner obstructs an investigation, or Eric Holder misleads Congress, or Michael Morell doctors talking points, or Susan Rice serially lies on national television, Barack Obama is responsible. It is his bidding that they do, and by failing to fire or discipline them he implicitly endorses their malfeasance.’”

The 2012 video interview on Fox News Greta Van Susteren with Rep. Trey Gowdy is re-circulating on the internet. In the interview Rep. Gowdy questions former Speaker Pelosi’s comments accusing Republicans of using Congressional investigations to suppress the vote. As 2014 is an election year and ongoing Congressional investigations into activities of the IRS, NSA, DOJ, EPA, Benghazi and others, it is expected that Democrats, like Pelosi, may play the 2 of Clubs again? Or the race card?

The Blaze reported in 2012, “Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) responded to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s claims that Republicans were only going after Attorney General Eric Holder in the ‘Fast and Furious’ investigation in order to further an imaginary GOP agenda of voter suppression, calling the assertion ‘mind-numbingly stupid.’”

“Is that the best you can come up with, is that we got together in this grand scheme to suppress votes and I’m sure she didn’t say southern states but that’s what she meant,” he added.

At this point, Gowdy was letting it fly and saying exactly what he, and likely many others, think about Pelosi’s bizarre claim.

He went on: “It’s really beneath the office of a member of Congress to say something that outrageous and the fact that she was once the Speaker is mind numbing. I honestly, and I have heard a lot in my 16 years as a prosecutor, I couldn’t believe the words coming out of her mouth. But keep in mind, Greta, this is the same woman who said she could have arrested Karl Rove any day she wanted. So I don’t know what was wrong with her yesterday or today or whenever she said that, but I would schedule an appointment with my doctor if she thinks that we are doing this to suppress votes this fall. That is mind-numbingly stupid.”
