Both of Abdul El-Sayed’s Parents Were in Groups That Funded Al Qaeda
And possibly ISIS.
What are the odds?
They say lightning doesn’t strike twice, but they also say that where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and if so, Abdul El-Sayed is in a five-alarm terror family.
You may recall the revelation last month that the mother of Abdulrahman Mohammed El-Sayed worked for a charity that funded Al Qaeda.
Here’s a blast from the past from 2004.
The FBI tonight is sorting through items seized from a Columbia office building this afternoon. The FBI served federal search warrants at the Islamic American Relief Agency (IARA) on Cherry Street.
A statement issued by the John Snow, the Secretary of the Treasury says, “the international offices of IARA were providing direct financial support to Usama bin Laden, al Qaida, Hamas and other terrorist groups.”
The media interviewed Fatten Elkomy, El-Sayed’s mother, who claimed she was just trying to help little children.
Exhibit 349 shows Elkomy transferring $20,772.88 to IARA boss Khalid Al-Sudani. He’s since been listed as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist. Her name appears on transfers and correspondence involving money being moved to Iraq, the terrorist occupied territories in Israel and other terror conflict zones.
Elkomy’s brother and El-Sayed’s uncle, Mohamed or Mohammed Elkomy, was also listed in 19 exhibits involving phone calls between donors, IARA officials, and others.
That covers Abdul El-Sayed’s mom and his uncle.
But what of dear old dad? Well this sort of thing really seems to run in the family.
El-Sayed’s father, Michigan academic and imam Dr. Mohammed El-Sayed, serves as a board member of the group Life for Relief and Development, which proudly displays his affiliation on its website.
The elder El-Sayed has been affiliated with Life for Relief and Development since at least 2020, federal tax forms show.
Abdul El-Sayed’s father-in-law, Jukaku Tayeb, previously served on the group’s board.
The story began in 2006 when the FBI raided the charity’s office. A year later, its CEO was charged by a grand jury with violating sanctions and money-laundering laws, and the charity’s accounts at Bank of America were closed.
Federal agents also raided the home of the charity’s then-CEO, Khalil Jassemm, the Detroit Free Press reported in September 2006.
Among the files seized were all “correspondence, notes, e-mails, facsimiles and other documents and records” related to the Islamic African Relief Agency, court records show.
The Islamic American Relief Agency, according to the Treasury, “provided direct financial support for UBL” [Osama bin Laden]
And it gets worse from there…
Life for Relief and Development also “gave millions to a group the FBI identified as Hamas’ Jordanian operation,” the New York Post reported in October 2007, citing law enforcement sources, adding the group was “suspected of funding al Qaeda insurgents in Iraq.”
Al Qaeda insurgents in Iraq eventually became a group known as ISIS.
The media spent two weeks covering whether the Trump admin spokeswoman had passed the bar, but a senate candidate whose parents were in groups that were accused of having allegedly funded Al Qaeda, Hamas and possibly ISIS just gets softball stories claiming that he’s the victim of ‘Islamophobia.’
