DOJ Conducting Criminal Probe Into Dem. Rep. Cori Bush: REPORT

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is reportedly conducting a criminal probe of Democratic Missouri Rep. Cori Bush, who has repeatedly pushed to defund the police, after spending taxpayer money on private security for herself.

According to Punchbowl News, the Justice Department has subpoenaed the House Sergeant at Arms for records relating to the misspending of federal security money. The Daily Caller first reported in April that Bush and members of the far-left Democratic Party group in Congress called “the Squad” spent thousands of campaign funds on private security.

According to the Statement of Disbursements of the House records, Bush also spent taxpayer funds on a day of private security for herself between Jan. 1 to March 31.

Bush, a freshman Democrat who has vocally pushed to defund the police, spent over $30,000 on her own security, according to her April Quarterly 2021 financial report.

  • On Jan. 18, 2021, Bush spent $1,060.00 on security from Whole Armor Executive Protection in Bowie, Maryland.
  • On Jan. 21, 2021, Bush spent $5,000 on security from Nathaniel Davis, Jr in her home state.
  • On Jan. 25, 2021, Bush spent $530.00 on security from Nathaniel Davis in Palo Alto, Calif.
  • On Feb. 17, 2021, Bush spent $7,743.75 on security from RS&T Security Counseling LLC in New York City.
  • On Feb. 25, 2021, Bush spent $5,000 on security from Sandler, Reiff, Lamb, Rosenstein & Birk in Washington DC.
  • On Feb. 26, 2021, Bush spent $5,812.00 on security from RS&T Security Counseling, LLC in NYC.
  • On March 15, 2021, Bush spent $5,000 on security from Nathaniel Davis Davis, in Saint Louis, Missouri.
  • On March 15, 2021, Bush spent $2,456.25 on security from RS&T Security Consulting LLC in NYC.

Bush sent out a tweet in Dec. 2020 criticizing former President Barack Obama for not calling to defund the police.

“With all due respect, Mr. President — let’s talk about losing people. We lost Michael Brown Jr. We lost Breonna Taylor. We’re losing our loved ones to police violence. It’s not a slogan. It’s a mandate for keeping our people alive. Defund the police,” Bush said in the tweet.

The Daily Caller contacted Bush’s office about the reported DOJ criminal probe, to which they did not immediately respond.

At least 17 House Democrats were arrested Tuesday afternoon outside the Supreme Court.

The Democrats were attending an abortion rights rally to protest the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. In several videos posted on Twitter, Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar can be seen with their hands behind their back being held by police officers who appear to be escorting them away from the protest in front of the Supreme Court.

“Today, Rep. AOC was arrested along with other members of Congress outside the Supreme Court for protesting in support of abortion rights,” Ocasio-Cortez’s office tweeted from her account.

HERE ARE THE NAMES:

  • New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Democratic Missouri Rep. Cori Bush tweeted Tuesday that she and her colleagues “put” their “bodies on the line” amid the protest.

“I introduced legislation yesterday and today to protect reproductive freedom. Today my colleagues and I put our bodies on the line—because we will leave no stone unturned in our fight for justice. Bans off our bodies,” Bush said.

The Daily Caller contacted the U.S. Capitol Police about the videos to which Capitol Police said they would be releasing final arrest numbers later in the afternoon.

Tlaib, Omar, AOC, other Leftists introduce resolution calling Israel’s founding a ‘catastrophe’

The real catastrophe is that there are open supporters of the genocidal “Palestinian” jihad against Israel in the United States House of Representatives.

Tlaib, Squad introduce resolution recognizing ‘catastrophe’ of Israel’s creation

by Ronn Blitzer, Fox News, May 17, 2022:

House members led by Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., introduced a resolution Monday calling for U.S. recognition of the “Nakba,” a term meaning “catastrophe” that is typically used by Palestinians to refer to the establishment of the state of Israel.

The resolution was submitted a week and a half after Israeli Independence Day, which coincides with Palestinian commemoration of Nakba Day. It calls for the U.S. to “commemorate the Nakba through official recognition and remembrance,” while claiming that this “refers not only to a historical event but to an ongoing process of Israel’s expropriation of Palestinian land and its dispossession of the Palestinian people that continues to this day.”

“The Palestinian people since the 48 Nakba have been living under oppression and violent racism. Silence + blank checks enables more death and violence,” Tlaib tweeted, referencing the year Israel was created and recognized via a U.N. resolution, and U.S. financial support for the Jewish state.

Tlaib, who is the daughter of Palestinian immigrants, submitted the resolution on behalf of herself and Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Cori Bush, D-Mo., Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., Marie Newman, D-Ill., and Betty McCollum, D-Minn. Tlaib, Ocasio-Cortez and Omar are among a group of left-wing Democrats known as the “Squad,” which has often taken anti-Israel positions.

The resolution claims that Palestinians opposed the U.N.’s 1947 recommendation to partition the territory then known as Palestine into two states, one for Arabs and one for Jews. It states that prior to Israel declaring independence on May 14, 1948, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians had fled their homes “often after attacks by Zionist militias.” It does not make reference to the use of some of those areas by invading Arab nations to attack Israel….

Cop-Defunding Enthusiast Cori Bush’s Car Struck by Gunfire

Thursday on Twitter, Missouri Rep. Cori Bush (D) confirmed reports that her car was struck by gunfire over the weekend in the St. Louis area.

“I’m touched by everyone who has reached out,” Bush tweeted. “Thankfully no one was harmed. But any act of gun violence shakes your soul. That’s why our movement is working to invest in our communities, eradicate the root causes of gun violence, and keep everyone safe.”

Bush was not injured in the shooting, as the vehicle was parked when it was hit. A source reported that Bush apparently was not the target of the gunfire. There was evidence that someone tampered with the door handles on other cars near Bush’s vehicle at the time of the shooting.

This is the second time Bush’s car has been struck by gunfire. In June 2020, she tweeted, “My car took the bullets. I am safe. A bullet went through my door handle on one side of the car, another went through my tire on the other side.”

Bush happens to be a loud advocate of the idiotic Democrat call to defund police departments, not to mention a raging hypocrite. After the Federal Election Commission revealed that the congresswoman spent over $130,000 on personal security services, she angrily shot back at critics, asking if “they would rather I die? You would rather me die? Is that what you want to see? You want to see me die? You know, because that could be the alternative.”

“I have private security because my body is worth being on this planet right now,” she added. But her constituents’ bodies apparently aren’t worth the basic security of taxpayer-funded police protection.

Paying Massive Sums of Money for Personal Security Guards While Advocating Police Defunding

During an interview with CBS on August 4, 2021, Bush responded to those who had criticized her as a hypocrite for advocating the defunding of police while spending some $70,000 of her campaign funds on private security protection for herself during a three-month time period: “You would rather me die? Is that what you want to see? You want to see me die? Because that could be the alternative. So, either I spend $70,000 on private security over the last few months and I’m here standing now and able to speak, able to help save eleven million people from being evicted, or I could possibly have a death attempt on my life. And we’re also talking about the same exact people who say horrible things about me, who lie to get — to build up their base, and then because they lie about me, I receive death threats.”

Added Bush: “I’m going to make sure I have security. Because I know I have had attempts on my life, and I have too much work to do. There are too many people that need help right now for me to allow that. So, if I end up spending 200,000, if I spend ten more dollars on it, you know what, I get to be here to do the work. So, suck it up. And defunding the police has to happen. We need to defund the police and put that money into social safety nets. Because we’re trying to save lives.”
