Kristallnacht Again: Expulsion of Jewish and Israeli Businesses from Philadelphia
On the anniversary of the liquidation of the Riga, Latvia, Ghetto on November 3, 1943, when my grandparents and little uncle, trapped in the Ghetto, were murdered, today’s headlines scream antisemitism again.
On election day, November 3, 2026, headlines predict victories for proud antisemitic candidates, who plague America with Jew-hatred.
DSA-backed candidates poised to expand influence on Capitol Hill as Democrats eye majority

WASHINGTON (TNND) — When the midterm results come in, it is more than likely that the Democratic Socialists of America will expand their presence on Capitol Hill, a development that could shape how a Democratic caucus operates if the party regains power.
Throughout the midterm campaign, Republicans hammered Democrats with an attack line that the party was being overrun by the far left. House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., made the case directly to voters on the campaign trail.
“Do not be fooled by any Democrat who tries to pretend and claim that they are a moderate. That is no longer a thing, okay? You can’t be a moderate in today’s Democratic Party,” Johnson said during a rally in Iowa over the weekend. “They’re going to the far communist Marxist left and that’s not campaign rhetoric.”
Despite those attacks, at least five DSA-backed candidates, and possibly more, appear headed to Washington in 2027. Chris Rabb in Pennsylvania, Darializa Avila Chevalier and Claire Valdez in New York, Melat Kiros in Colorado, and Donavan McKinney in Michigan are all running in safe Democratic seats. If they win, they could join Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib as DSA members of Congress.
The party’s leadership has been careful to keep its distance from the group. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., said in August, “I don’t support the DSA agenda as has been articulated by the DSA itself.”
That distance could set up early clashes with Jeffries, who would be in line to become speaker if Democrats retake the House. Some of the potential new members have not yet committed to backing him. “
The things that I’m thinking about are, will we have a speaker that’s gonna back and support getting the John Lewis Voting Rights Act across the finish line? Are we gonna have a speaker that is gonna push for Medicare for All, that’s gonna push for blocking the bombs, for any number of policies that matter to the people of this district?” Avila Chevalier told Vanity Fair in late October
