Two American Jews get lost in Hebron, “Palestinians” firebomb their car

But deep down, they really, really want peace!

“2 American yeshiva students hurt in Hebron firebombing,” Times of Israel, September 3, 2015:

Five American yeshiva students were attacked by Palestinians in Hebron after they got lost in the West Bank city on Thursday.

Two of the students, residents of Brooklyn, NY were lightly-to-moderately injured in the riot that ensued after they accidentally entered the southern part of the predominantly Palestinian city, while en route to the Cave of the Patriarchs.

Palestinian assailants firebombed their car, setting it alight, according to the Walla news website.

The group was whisked away by a local, who let them hide in his house until Israel security forces arrived to extract them.

The two injured ultra-Orthodox students were evacuated for medical treatment.

“I heard shouts outside, I left my house and saw the five Jews frantically leaving their car, which was attacked by stones,” Faiz Abu Hamadiah, 51, told the NRG news site. “They were very anxious, one was injured and bleeding from his face. I reassured down. I told them in Hebrew that it will be okay, I gave them water, and I helped the injured man.

“I told them they were safe in my house. Immediately afterward they called the police, and I sent teenagers to call the army to take them to the checkpoint.

“I did the right thing,” he added, dismissing concerns of being branded a “collaborator” with Israel by his neighbors. “The people that threw stones at them and torched their car did a bad thing. We need to live here together.”…

The Muslim Migration [Hijrah] Into Europe

In FrontPage today, I discuss how “refugees” are colonizing Europe.

Approximately 104,460 asylum seekers arrived in Germany during the month of August, setting a new record. That makes 413,535 registered refugees and migrants coming to Germany in 2015 so far. The country expects a total of around 800,000 people to seek asylum in Germany this year. And that’s just Germany. The entire continent of Europe is being inundated with refugees at a rate unprecedented in world history. This is no longer just a “refugee crisis.” This is a hijrah.

Hijrah, or jihad by emigration, is, according to Islamic tradition, the migration or journey of Muhammad and his followers from Mecca to Yathrib, later renamed by him to Medina, in the year 622 CE. It was after the hijrah that Muhammad for the first time became not just a preacher of religious ideas, but a political and military leader. That was what occasioned his new “revelations” exhorting his followers to commit violence against unbelievers. Significantly, the Islamic calendar counts the hijrah, not Muhammad’s birth or the occasion of his first “revelation,” as the beginning of Islam, implying that Islam is not fully itself without a political and military component.

To emigrate in the cause of Allah – that is, to move to a new land in order to bring Islam there, is considered in Islam to be a highly meritorious act. “And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many locations and abundance,” says the Qur’an. “And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him, his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.” (4:100) The exalted status of such emigrants led a British jihad group that won notoriety (and a shutdown by the government) a few years ago for celebrating 9/11 to call itself Al-Muhajiroun: The Emigrants.

And now a hijrah of a much greater magnitude is upon us. Evidence that this is a hijrah, not simply a humanitarian crisis, came last February, but was little noted at the time and almost immediately forgotten. The Islamic State published a document entitled, “Libya: The Strategic Gateway for the Islamic State.” Gateway into Europe, that is: the document exhorted Muslims to go to Libya and cross from there as refugees into Europe. This document tells would-be jihadis that weapons from Gaddafi’s arsenal are plentiful and easy to obtain in Libya – and that the country “has a long coast and looks upon the southern Crusader states, which can be reached with ease by even a rudimentary boat.”

The Islamic State did not have in mind just a few jihadis crossing from Libya: it also emerged last February that the jihadis planned to flood Europe with as many as 500,000 refugees. Now the number is shooting well beyond that in Germany alone. Of course, not all of these refugees are Islamic jihadis. Not all are even Muslims, although most are. However, no effort whatsoever is being made to determine the refugees’ adherence to Sharia and desire to bring it to their new land. Any such effort would be “Islamophobic.” Yet there are already hints that the Islamic State is putting its plan into effect: jihadis have already been found among the refugees trying to enter Europe. There will be many more such discoveries.

Eight hundred thousand Muslim refugees in one year alone. This will transform Germany, and Europe, forever, overtaxing the welfare economies of its wealthiest nations and altering the cultural landscape beyond recognition. Yet the serious public discussion that needs to be had about this crisis is shouted down by the usual nonsense: the Washington Post Wednesday published an inflammatory and irresponsible piece likening those concerned about this massive Muslim influx into Europe to 1930s Nazis ready to incinerate Jews by the millions. Hollywood star Emma Thompson accused British authorities of racism for not taking in more refugees – as if British authorities haven’t already done enough to destroy their nation.

And so it goes. If you don’t accept the brave new world that is sure to bring more jihad and more Sharia to Europe, you’re a Nazi and a racist. Meanwhile, no one is bothering even to ask, much less answer, one central question: why is it incumbent upon Europe have to absorb all these refugees? Why not Saudi Arabia or the other Muslim countries that are oil-rich and have plenty of space? The answer is unspoken because non-Muslim authorities refuse to believe it and Muslims don’t want it stated or known: these refugees have to go to Europe because this is a hijrah.

This is also Europe’s death knell.

Europe’s Refugee Crisis — Fixing the Cause, Not the Symptoms

The most extraordinary aspect of the refugee crisis gripping Europe’s newspapers right now is that everyone is fixated on the symptom of the problem – mass migration – rather than the cause.

While economic migration has always been a pull factor for those leaving the developing world for the developed, this has been exacerbated by the strong push factor, particularly in Syria, that life has become unliveable under the twin terrors of the Assad regime and ISIS advance. It stands to reason therefore that in order to diminish that push factor – which taking in ever-increasing numbers of migrants will do nothing to resolve – we will need to address what is going on overseas, rather than pretend it has nothing to do with a problem now knocking on our doors.

Indeed, if ever there was a demonstration of the perils of non-intervention, the Syria crisis is it. We have stood by and watched as a country of 23 million has lost half of its population, to death, injury, internal displacement and external flight. We deluded ourselves that stopping Assad – who is responsible for the conflict – mattered little to us, even when he broke international norms by using chemical weapons. ISIS took advantage of his murderous regime to mount a ‘resistance’ movement that accounted for its initial growth, before it expanded into Iraq. ISIS recruitment today still features Assad’s atrocities as its major call to action for Muslim youth in the West to join its jihad. Assad, in turn, uses ISIS as a justification for the need to keep him in power as a bulwark against radicalisation. It would not be an exaggeration to term their relationship symbiotic, particularly as there have been many cases of collaboration between Assad’s regime and ISIS over issues like oil sales.

We had the chance to intervene against Assad in 2013 and blew it. We are now no more than half-heartedly engaged in strikes against ISIS. The result has been the destruction of a country, and the importing of the human misery this has caused to our shores. Those legislators who voted against intervention on the grounds that it would lead to contagion have been proven wrong. As others such as ourselves suggested at the time, contagion was likelier to occur because of non-intervention. As it now has done.

So we can continue debating how many refugees we wish to take in a sticking plaster type of solution. Or we can decide that a crisis of this nature requires more drastic action. Because until Assad and ISIS have been beaten, not one refugee is going to return to Syria. And we can be guaranteed that hundreds of thousands more will be ready to follow them here.

mendozahjsFROM THE DIRECTOR’S DESK

When the Henry Jackson Society was first founded, it possessed a different tagline to its logo than it does today. Instead of “Democracy. Freedom. Human Rights” this read “Project for Democratic Geopolitics”. I was reminded of this when we hosted the former Sky News Diplomatic Editor Tim Marshall this week on the subject of his new book, Prisoners of Geography: Ten Maps That Tell You Everything You Need To Know About Global Politics.

Geopolitics is the study of the effects of geography on international politics and international relations (IR). For many years, it has been an underrated discipline in IR circles, with academics being more interested in theories of IR behaviour than in practical-led examinations of why international crises occur and flashpoints develop. As Tim Marshall reminded us, and we have expounded for some time, some crises are more obvious than others, and geography offers a clue as to why they have developed.

An obvious example would be the Russian seizure of Crimea. With the Russian Black Sea fleet being based at Sevastopol – leased to Russia but in Ukraine – there was an obvious geographical and strategic advantage to seizing this permanently and securing a base that might have been at the mercy of others. Equally, the reason that Israel so desperately requires a security guarantee in any two state solution with the Palestinians, and a demilitarized Palestine, is because the geographical features of a semi-mountainous ridge in the West Bank would otherwise allow the bulk of Israel’s population to be targeted by missiles or artillery.

In short, geography matters when we consider the conduct and course of IR. But the nature of regimes is important too, which is why we originally added “democratic” to our tagline. After all, the Russians didn’t need to invade Crimea to seize a base that was theirs by lease and which they would have had no need to fear losing had they not been run by the paranoid and autocratic Mr Putin. As we have stated many times: wouldn’t the world be a safer and better place if there were more liberal democracies in it?

White House Petition: Bring 65,000 Muslim Syrians to live permanently in U.S.!

Here then is additional confirmation that the nine major federal refugee contractors are going warp speed to press the Obama Administration to bring 65,000 Syrians to the US in the closing months of the Obama Administration.  I know the number 65,000! sounds like insanity (and it is), but remember these are hard left NGOs that are working to change American communities by colonizing them with third world ‘diversity’ and to top it off they are paid by the head to do it—by you, the US taxpayer!

They need to get as much done as possible in case a certain Republican is elected in 2016.

Yesterday we told you about the International Rescue Committee David Miliband’s press release pushing for 65,000 (and remember the UN is picking the Syrians from their camps and that so far of the 1,400 or so we have admitted since January 2012—95% are Sunni Muslims).  The percentage jumps to 97% for this year.  They are not clamoring to save Christians!

Lavinia Limon

Lavinia Limon the CEO of USCRI. She was Bill Clinton’s director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement.

Now we see that another contractor, US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), has started a White House Petition asking Obama for 65,000 Syrians!

Time is of the essence!  Obama will be sending his annual “Determination Letter” (for FY2016) to Congress for consultation in a few short weeks.  Congress usually rubber stamps whatever the President asks.  You must make sure they don’t rubber stamp it this time!

Here is the White House Petition (no mention of persecuted Christians!):

Resettle Syrian Refugees in the U.S

By the end of April 2015 , the UN estimated 6.5 million people had been displaced in Syria, while more than +4 million refugees had fled to countries such as Lebanon (1.2 million), Jordan (608,000) and Turkey (1.75 million) and thousands more in Europe.

Germany expects to accept 800,000 asylum seekers this year, four times more than in 2014 and more than any other EU country. The U.S. has so fare admitted less than 1000 Syrian refugees.

United States of America; the most powerful nation, the largest economy, and the champion of democracy and human rights should stands for its values .

The International Rescue Committee has argued for the U.S. to accept at least 65,000 refugees.

We are asking the President and the government to pledge to resettle at least 65,000 Syrians by 2016.

As of this writing they have 10,180 signatures and hope to reach 100,000 this month!

See our petition here.

Citizens concerned about what is being done to their communities are only asking for a say in how much resettlement they get, while the contractors are looking to virtually double the number of needy people to be “seeded” into unsuspecting towns. (In recent years, Obama has admitted about 70,000 refugees each year from all over the world, 65,000, of course, would nearly double the number for FY2016).

For our thousands of new readers, here (below) are the nine major refugee contractors that like to call themselves Voluntary Agencies but are largely paid by the U.S. taxpayer to colonize American towns.  These nine phony non-profits (quasi government agencies!) are choosing the towns where Syrians will be resettled.

If you are affiliated with any one of these so-called faith groups, it is time to ask what the h*** are they doing to America in your name!

One final thing!  This is a list of USCRI subcontractors around the US.  Note they are the contractor operating in Twin Falls, Idaho. This petition tells you exactly what USCRI has in mind for your town—-hundreds, perhaps thousands! of Syrians for each of them! You need to look at the list!

On second thought, one more thing!  Go here to the list of 190 or so refugee subcontractors around the U.S.   If your town or city is on the list, or even within 100 miles of any of these offices, you are a target!

Contact local elected officials and do some preemptive community organizing and demand that your community have a say in the secretive resettlement process.

I put the word “permanently” in the title of my post because I think some new readers think that we take refugees on a temporary basis.  Make no mistake!  If the civil war in Syria ended tomorrow and the pipeline of Syrians was fully open, the resettlement would go on for years and all those getting in would be U.S. citizens in short order.

Trump to Deliver National Security Address at Veterans for a Strong America Event

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. /PRNewswire/ — Donald J. Trump will join Veterans for a Strong America (VSA) Chairman Joel Arends and VSA board members, dignitaries and supporters for a major national security address aboard the battleship USS Iowa Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Los Angeles, California on the eve of the CNN presidential debate focused around national security.

Arends, a decorated veteran of the war in Iraq, said, “Donald Trump is a long standing supporter of veterans and the military and we are honored that he has chosen our organization and event for his major national security address.”

The “Make America’s Military Great Again” event will focus on topics of concern for our veterans, the military, and their families. Public opinion polls show that national security issues are among the top concerns for all age groups of Americans. VSA’s 500,000 supporters nationwide are particularly vocal about reforming a broken and corrupt VA Health Care system, rebuilding our military after six years of drastic budget cuts, defeating ISIS and preventing the rise of a nuclear Iran.

Arends continued, “Donald Trump has stated very clearly he supports an American military that is so powerful it will be challenged by no one, and that he equally supports caring for veterans when they return home by providing them with the healthcare and treatment they deserve. Mr. Trump knows what America’s military and veterans community needs and he is prepared to fight to achieve it. It’s an honor to host Mr. Trump for this historic address.”

Jonah Goldberg, AEI fellow writes, “There are many reasons the non-politicians — Trump, Ben Carson, and Carly Fiorina — are doing so well, but near the top is the fact that they haven’t internalized the language of political consultants and pundits.”

ABOUT VETERANS FOR A STRONG AMERICA

Veterans for a Strong America is an Iraq and Afghanistan veterans organization dedicated to mobilizing Americans to communicate the importance of a robust national defense and to ensuring that America remains a strong nation by advancing liberty, safeguarding freedom and opposing tyranny.

Fighting-age Muslim men dominate “refugee” flow to Europe

The ‘Invasion of Europe’ continues today…

If one judges by the photos, it sure looks like young men are the problem in the flood of supposed refugees from the Middle East swarming into Europe.  A picture is worth a thousand words.  A lot of pictures like those here at the Daily Mail are worth much more!

What sort of men are these?  Instead of running to Mama Merkel for comfort, why aren’t they fighting to save their own countries?

I thought of this post—some Syrians are opportunists—when I saw these photos.

VIDEO: Islam’s ‘Management of Savagery’

This Islamic tactic of war, burning enemies alive, is called the “Management of Savagery”. Religious Islam sanctions this particular tactic in Qur’an verse 4:56:

Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our verses – We will drive them into a Fire. Every time their skins are roasted through We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted in Might and Wise.

We in the West see only the barbarity of the act. Followers of Islam see divine retribution and their fellow Muslims following the example of Mohammad.

WARNING: This video contains extremely graphic images. Clarion Project shares videos such as this in order to tell the world the full extent of the crimes of the Islamic State. Only with knowledge can evil be identified and confronted.

This video is meant to instill fear into the heart of the non-believers (you and me) and for the believers of Islam this video is a sign of strength and singularity of purpose in the establishment of a Sunni Caliphate – the Islamic State.

Muslims have treating each other this way since the day Mohammad died starting with the Apostate or Bidda Wars. And so it continues for 1400 years with no end in site.

When Bibi said, “The Enemy of my Enemy is my Enemy” he telegraphed a profound knowledge of our Islamic adversaries we in the West must understand.

Let this ‘management of Savagery’ video be the catalyst for everyone to unlock the door of the Islamic Threat Doctrine and be steadfast in understanding we are fighting The Global Jihad Movement.

We are Kafir, We will always be Kafir, and the Kafir is the enemy of the Global Jihad Movement.

Why The Pope’s Visit Will Be A Security Nightmare

During my twelve years as a Secret Service agent there was no “protectee” under the Secret Service security umbrella with a higher threat profile than the Pope. I have clear memories of my first days as a new agent in June of 1999, and the chaos around the New York field office as they cleaned up after Pope John Paul’s visit to St. Louis. It was an impressive security operation and, although the New York field office was many miles away from St. Louis, and nearly six months had passed, the remnants of the security operation were still everywhere around the office. When I asked a senior agent in the office about the magnitude of the security footprint around the Pope I recall him saying, “Billions of Catholics would be very upset with us if he got hurt.”

The “Big Six” Threat Assessment

The Secret Service doesn’t have the luxury of a second-rate security plan with protectees carrying with them the threat profile of the Pope. The Papal visit is an all-hands-on-deck type of security operation which I used to break down according to, what I referred to, as “the big six” threat mitigation model.

When I conducted security advances, where the threat level was critical, I broke down the threats and the threat mitigation measures according to these six categories; tactical assaults, medical emergencies, chemical/biological attacks, improvised explosive device (IED) attacks, airborne threats, and fire emergencies. Further complicating the security plan was that each of these six threats to the protectee required an “A to Z” mitigation plan where if “Option A” failed, then we had multiple fail-safes built in to the plan to prevent any security lapses from materializing (as a side note: this is the reason that the infamous White House fence-jumping incident was such a shock to my former colleagues in the Secret Service who are intimately familiar with the many “fail-safes” built into the White House security plan which had worked successfully for decades but which, tragically, all broke down simultaneously).

Mapping Out The Routes

Using motorcades and transportation routes as an example, the Secret Service has to plan for all of the six aforementioned threats, and the associated countermeasures, along every point of the Pope’s transportation route which will likely be many miles long. The logistics of this alone kept me up until the late hours of the night, and for weeks at a time, when I was assigned to the transportation section of the Presidential Protective Division. I drove those motorcade routes so many times that they became as familiar as your route home from work is to you. Everything on that motorcade route becomes a potential “safe area,” or an alternate escape route when there is no room for error.

High Threat Profiles & Accessibility

A number of other factors make this specific Papal visit a security nightmare for the Secret Service. Of all of the Secret Service protectees, both domestic and foreign, the Pope has a threat profile which is among the highest. The Secret Service allocates its manpower, equipment, financial, and administrative assets according to the threat profile of the protectee, and this Papal visit will strain all of those resource categories.

The manpower assets will come from the Counter Assault Team (CAT), which acts as the Secret Service special weapons team, the Counter Sniper (CS) team, specialized communications teams, hazmat teams and a variety of federal, state and local law enforcement personnel who will assist in the design and implementation of the plan. This has the potential to create a nightmarish scenario for the Secret Service because all of these manpower assets are, by design, overt.

Pope Francis shuns this type of overt security presence and prefers a lighter, more discreet, security footprint which allows him to openly mix and mingle in large crowds of people. This is simply not workable using current Secret Service security methodologies and the significant threat profile the Pope carries with him. There is no way to “hide” thousands of uniformed police officers, earpiece wearing Secret Service agents, BDU-clad CAT team and CS members and their associated equipment to make the Pope appear more accessible.

My experience in situations such as this, where protectees prefer a low-key approach, (Hillary Clinton’s U.S. Senate run in New York comes to mind) is that security takes a back seat to concerns about the ‘optics’ of the security. Worrying about how the security operation ‘looks’ rather than how the security operation functions, is a recipe for failure and I wish the Secret Service protectees understood this before declaring that they want to be more ‘accessible.’

The Secret Service security model is accustomed to working with crowds and granting those crowds accessibility, within reason. With the current macro-threat environment (threats not specific to the Pope) from ISIS, Al-Qaeda and its affiliates, and other terrorist groups, combined with the number of very specific threats from these groups, and other independent actors looking to do harm to the Pope, this is not time for concerns about ‘visuals’ and ‘optics,’ it’s time to focus on a responsible, comprehensive security plan that will ensure that the world’s billions of Catholics can enjoy the visit and not concern themselves with the Pope’s safe

Muslim migrants buying fake Syrian passports to get to Germany

Ahlan-wa-sahlan-train

The German train says, “Ahlan wa sahlan!,” an Arabic greeting of welcome.

There is so much ‘Invasion of Europe’ news now that I’ll post just those stories that strike my fancy.

First, I would be remiss in not telling you that German Chancellor Angela Merkel is being called “Mama Merkel” by migrants anxious to get to the good life in Germany, see here.  (Psst! Don’t tell Obama, he will be wantin’ some of the lovin’!)

Then this is from ABC News (hat tip: Joanne) yesterday.

What a headache Europe has ahead sorting through the tens of thousands of migrants and trying to figure out who fits the definition of refugee (refugees must prove they are PERSECUTED, but Syrians are automatically assumed to be no matter which side of the conflict they are on!).

A number of migrants arriving in Turkey hoping to reach Europe are purchasing fake Syrian passports in order to claim asylum at the end of their journey, the head of the European border management agency Frontex told French radio today.

“There is a traffic of Syrian passports,” Fabrice Leggeri told Europe 1, “because it’s extremely lucrative for smugglers.”

Syrian citizens are legally entitled to refugee status in any European country because of the civil war in their country.

Those using fake passports, Leggeri said, are mainly from North Africa or the Middle East, migrating for economic reasons. But he admitted that authorities do not have a complete picture of those migrating to Europe.

“We have an idea of nationalities but we don’t have full profiles,” Leggeri said.

Asked by the radio host whether terrorists could be reaching Europe, Leggeri said “it is not impossible but we are extremely vigilant.”

Iran: U.S., British flags ‘Satanic symbols’

“Satanic symbols.” The Iranian regime makes no secret of its hatred and contempt for the U.S., even after the “peace deal” has been made — showing how hollow that deal really is.

“Iran clothing with US, British flags sparks arrests,” AFP, September 1, 2015 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Iranian police have arrested merchants for selling clothing that featured the flags of the United States and Britain, two longtime foes of the Islamic republic, local media reported Tuesday.

Garments imprinted with “Satanic symbols” were also seized from stores in Tehran, city police chief General Hossein Sajedinia was quoted by the ISNA news agency as saying.

Sajedinia said reports about the activity had been received in the past two weeks, leading to surveillance and detentions.

“This morning we took these clothes off leading distributors,” he said, noting that any stores that sell such items “will be closed.”

The move underlined the fractious attitude from some authorities regarding the United States.

Washington broke off diplomatic relations with Tehran in 1980 after students seized its embassy and took dozens of hostages during the Islamic revolution the previous year.

However, a July 14 deal between Iran and six powers led by the US over Tehran’s controversial nuclear programme was met by celebrations in the capital, particularly among youths keen to end Iran’s isolation.

Despite the warmth toward the deal on the streets, Iran’s senior leaders have said nothing will change in their approach toward the US.

The leader of the Islamic revolution, the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, dubbed the United States the “Great Satan” on account of its policies and support for Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last royal ruler before the Islamic republic was founded….

Nuke deal will make war with Iran more likely, say former top military officials

It’s “will enable Iran to increase support for terrorist and insurgent proxies, aggravate sectarian conflict and trigger both nuclear and conventional proliferation cascades.” But who cares? Kardashians!

“Nuclear deal will make war with Iran more likely, former top military officials say in report,” by Kellan Howell, The Washington Times, September 2, 2015 (thanks to Banafsheh):

A group of former top military officials and intelligence analysts released a new report Wednesday concluding that the nuclear deal with Iran will threaten American interests and increase the probability of military conflict in the Middle East.

In its report, the Iran Strategy Council wrote that the nuclear deal, called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), “will enable Iran to increase support for terrorist and insurgent proxies, aggravate sectarian conflict and trigger both nuclear and conventional proliferation cascades.”

Additionally, the deal will “provide the expansionist regime in Tehran with access to resources, technology and international arms markets required to bolster offensive military capabilities in the vital Persian Gulf region, acquire long-range ballistic missiles and develop other major weapons systems,” the council wrote.

In its report, the council argued that the deal is not an alternative to war with Iran, as many of its supports have claimed, but would actually make war more likely.

“Contrary to the false choice between support for the JCPOA and military confrontation, the agreement increases both the probability and danger of hostilities with Iran,” the report noted. “Given the deleterious strategic consequences to the United States, implementation of the JCPOA will demand increased political and military engagement in the Middle East that carries significantly greater risks and costs relative to current planning assumptions.”

The Iran Strategy Council was commissioned by the Jewish Institute of National Security to educate Americans on the consequences of the Iran nuclear deal.

Members of the council include retired Gen. James Conway, former Commandant of the Marine Corps; retired Air Force Gen. Chuck Wald, former Deputy Commander of the United States European Command; retired Adm. Mark Fitzgerald, former Commander of the U.S. Naval Forces in Europe/Africa; and retired Vice Adm. John Bird, former Commander of the U.S. Seventh Fleet….

Democrat Senators provide final votes on the Iran Nuclear Pact

Maryland  Democrat Senator Barbara Mikulski clinched President Obama’s Iran Nuclear Deal  today by announcing  her support making it  a virtual fait accompli. The President can now veto Congressional Resolutions rejecting the pact.  The Washington Post headline  today  tells the story, “Chris Coons and Bob Casey back Iran deal, putting Obama one vote from major diplomatic victory.”  The Iran nuclear pact comes up for a vote  15 days from now at the latest could be mooted by a possible filibuster or may be ended by a likely Presidential veto of a majority vote  rejecting it in both Chambers of Congress.  It begs the questions of whether there is any means of stopping this dangerous and misguided deal from being implemented. Depending on whether a successor overturns the multilateral agreement that according to the Administration would be a major diplomatic faux pas.

As we have written in a September 2015, NER article there may be more options than simply voiding it as an executive political agreement by a new President in January 2017. Republicans and a few Democrats are seeking to target sanctions against Iranian Revolutionary Guard Leaders and the Ayatollah who own companies that would benefit economically from the release of $100 billion in sequestered funds in U.S. financial institutions resulting from implementing the JCPOA.  There is also increasing interest in several legislative alternatives. That is reflected in a FrontPage Magazine article published today by Robert B, Sklaroff and Lee S. Bender, Esq., “The Only Way to Block the Iran TREATY: Sue Obama.”  Their bottom line:

Emergency Prescription for Senate:  [1]—Pass rule that abolishes the filibuster; [2]—Pass resolution declaring the Iran nuke deal to be a “treaty”; [3]—Defeat the deal; and [4]—Sue President Obama to enjoin him from implementing the deal.

Opinion polls taken of Americans indicate that by a margin of 2 to 1 they urge members of both Congressional Chambers to vote against it.  Trusting that approval of this deal will cut off Iran from all pathways from achieving industrialization of nuclear weapons- whether in a few weeks, months or a decade or more- amount to sleepwalking towards oblivion.   Many analysts and military nuclear experts think that Iran may already have nuclear weapons and shortly the means of delivering them. Further, believing that $100 billion plus of sequestered Iranian funds will be devoted to rebuilding a beleaguered Iranian economy and raising the living standards of Iranians is myopic. It will go to lining the pockets of the Ayatollah Khamenei and Revolutionary Guard leaders. Furthermore, it will fund proxies, Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Houthi rebels in Yemen to destabilize the Middle East and conduct low intensity warfare against America, Israel other Middle East allies. The Saudis, Egyptians, Emirates say that if the pact is approved they will develop their own nuclear weapons capabilities. War might likely loom.   President Obama has allegedly  called opponents “crazies,” criticized those who say he’s  anti-Semitic by replying  he doesn’t have a  smidgen of that, while  inveighing the infamous Juden frage- Jewish question , an innuendo  of dual loyalty.  We have witnessed Congress straying from the pathway suggested by Senators Cotton (R-AR), Cruz (R-TX), Johnson (R-WI), Rubio (R-FL) and others that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action should have been treated as a treaty under Article III of the Constitution requiring the advice and consent of the Senate. The result was the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act  of 2015 enacted into law with a stroke of the President’s pen on May 22, 2015.

Following the announcement of the JCPOA on July 14, 2015 and the unanimous endorsement by the UN Security Council on July 22, 2015, testimony provided by Administration negotiators, led by Secretary of State Kerry, Energy Secretary Earnest Moniz, and Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman has, if anything, raised concerns about the enforceability of the Iran nuclear pact.  Most appalling they exhibited in their responses to Senate and House Committee Members less than curiosity about the provisions of confidential agreements between the UN nuclear watchdog agency, IAEA and the Islamic Republic of Iran.  They suggested that to do so would interfere with the confidential nature of such activities between the IAEA and the Islamic Republic under UN protocols.  The IAEA in turn requested an estimated $10.5 million annually as the required contribution from the US, a board member of the IAEA, to support their activities inspecting and monitoring Iran’s progress towards an alleged ‘peaceful’ nuclear energy program.

Watch this Yahoo News video of Secretary Kerry at the National Convention Center in Philadelphia, today making the final sales pitch for approval of the Iran Nuclear Pact:

Based on the hearing record, the expert witness testimony presenting contradictory views, Americans now realize that there will likely be less than a robust, intrusive inspection scheme. A scheme that would rely on the UN nuclear watchdog, the IAEA. Instead, Iranian inspection of known military development sites will be used to produce a Road Map of prior military developments enabling release of $100 billion of sequestered funds. Moreover, there already have been breaches of conventional weapons and missile technology purchases, despite the 5 and 8 year sunset provisions under UN Security Council Resolution 1929. There have also been breaches of lifting restrictions on travel bans and assets of more than 800 individuals and entities largely controlled by the Ayatollah, mullahs and Revolutionary Guard elite like Quds Firce Commander Qasem Soliemani.  Paul Alster in his Fox News criticism of the Iran deal  pointed out  that Iran has already launched attacks against Israel via proxies in the country’s North . He also suggest s the diversion of $1 billion of released funds that would go annually to underwrite the support of Iran’s terrorist proxies attacking U.S. ally Israel and others in the Middle East Region. Then there is the delivery of new precision rockets and missiles to Hezbollah, Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

We could go on, but it is moot given the President is likely before Labor Day to line up all of the votes required for him to veto the rejection resolutions voted by the Republican majorities of both houses with a sprinkling of Democrats with moral compasses.  There may never be a vote in the Senate, as Minority Leader Reid has offered up the alternative of killing the vote via a filibuster and resort to the so-called “nuclear option” used for approving Judicial appointment in 2013. That is unless the suggestion by Sklaroff and Bender about the Senate passing a rule banishing the so-called “nuclear option” is adopted.

This brings us to Plan B – a suit by the Senate against the President’s actions brought before the US Supreme Court that might result in a ruling granting the senior Chamber an up or down vote treating the Iran nuclear pact as a treaty.  We believe its time for serious consideration of the Sklaroff Bender proposal as the Senate would have standing whereas individuals may not. That is evidenced by Federal Judge Kenneth A. Marra’s ex cathedra remarks in the Palm Beach Federal District Court in response to a declaratory judgment motion filed by Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch on August 4, 2015. We commend Freedom Watch for bringing that action.

Listen to this 1330amWEBY segment that aired on September 1, 2015 with Mike Bates, Host of Your Turn and Senior editor, Jerry Gordon discussing the Iran nuclear pact and options to overturn it.

Now we have to see whether Senate Majority Republican Leaders have the courage of their convictions to bring such an important landmark case before the Supreme Court to protect Americans from the threat of an Iranian nuclear attack. Presidential hopefuls and Congressional leaders who will speak before a huge crowd of concerned Americans gathered on the back lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington on September 9th at the March to Save America  might echo their resolve to sue the President.  That is contingent on whether he carries out his threat to veto the majority vote in both Chambers of Congress rejecting the Iran nuclear pact backed by the opinions of a majority of Americans.

Now it is time for concerted action by those bi-partisan Members of Congress who reject the Iran nuclear pact. Tens of millions of Americans are disturbed by the President’s appeasement of a keystone member of the Evil Axis, the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Why should U.S./Europe take Syrian Muslim refugees while Gulf Arab states take ZERO?

And, why is the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) completely silent on this glaring hypocrisy?  Muslim countries who brag about their Islamic compassion (see this post from 2009 where the UNHCR had the nerve to suggest that it is Islam—Shariah law!—that first welcomed the stranger and not Christian or Jewish charity) do not allow their co-religionists to live among them.

Once in awhile over the last many years, we see a story like this one where someone dares to ask why rich Arab countries like Saudi Arabia get away with this—with importing cheap domestic labor while not “welcoming” a single Syrian Muslim refugee.

From The Interpreter (emphasis is mine):

The humanitarian tragedy unfolding daily in Europe has forced the West to again try and redefine its obligations to those who have been made vulnerable as a result of conflict in the Middle East, particularly the Syrian civil war.

But it may also have stirred a desire to question why the burden is shared by so few countries. In particular, why are wealthy Gulf countries still able to salve their consciences by donating money to UN agencies, along with weapons to Syrian rebels, while at the same time refusing to sign the UN Refugee Convention or accept any refugees for resettlement.

[….]

It seems to be no great sacrifice for them to open their doors to fellow Arab Muslims, allow them to settle in their countries, and in due course become citizens.

[….]

There is something intrinsically wrong when Saudi Arabia can source 1.5 million people to act as domestic help, and a country like Bahrain can issue visas for more than 33,000 housemaids, and yet they can’t even resettle one Syrian refugee.

There is more at The Interpreter including links and a humorous (sort of) cartoon.

The answer to our question seems pretty obvious to me—the Gulf States want to maintain their racial and cultural superiority (LOL! NOmulticulturalism for them!), they are racists, and they would like the West to be further Islamized via migration.  We apparently are dumb enough to acquiesce!

And, by the way, Saudi Arabian money is building mosques in America.  They know what they are doing!

We have written a lot over the years about Saudi Arabia and refugees, go here to learn more.

Islamic State fighters caught crossing into Europe posing as refugees

Five men arrested attempting to cross the Bulgarian-Macedonian border with decapitation videos and Islamic State propaganda on their phones. The terrorist suspects had been posing as refugees.

UKIP leader Nigel Farage warned: “I fear we face a direct threat to our civilisation if we allow large numbers of people from that war torn region into Europe.”

The Obama-caused Muslim migrant apocalypse continues its assault on Europe.

“Islamic State terrorists caught crossing into Europe posing as refugees,” by Liam Deacon, Breitbart News, September 1, 2015:

Five men have been arrested as they attempted to cross the Bulgarian-Macedonian border with decapitation videos and Islamic State propaganda on their phones. The terrorist suspects had been posing as refugees.

Bulgarian authorities near the Gyueshevo border checkpoint detained the five men, aged between 20 and 24, late on Wednesday, Bulgarian broadcaster NOVA TV reported.

The men were stopped by a border guard, who they attempted to bribe with a “wad of dollars.” However, they were searched and Islamic State propaganda, specific Jihadists prayers and decapitation videos were found on their phones.

In a move that suggests how seriously authorities are taking the case, the Bulgarian State Agency for National Security (DANS) has now taken control of the investigation under the supervision of the regional prosecutor’s office in Kyustendil.

The men chose to cross in a wooded area, local media have reported, and took a car from an accomplice who had crossed legally from Macedonia with the vehicle.

Bulgaria has recently completed a 15-foot high razor wire clad fence along 50 miles of its south-eastern border with Turkey to control the mass movement of migrants from the Middle East and Asia into Europe via the so-called Balkans route.

However, the Gyueshevo border checkpoint where the men crossed sits on Bulgaria’s western border with Macedonia. It is likely the men chose to enter there to avoid the new strict border controls on the other side of the country.

Following the recently foiled terror attack on an Amsterdam–Paris train, where the heavily armed terrorist was able to travel freely, European governments have been considering amending the Schengen border code, which eliminated systematic border controls across most of Europe.

In February, the Turkish intelligence service warned police in an internal memo that up to 3,000 trained jihadists are seeking to cross into Turkey from Syria and Iraq, who could then travel through Bulgaria and Hungry into western Europe. And in May, a Libyan government adviser warned Islamic State operatives were being “smuggled to Europe in migrant boats.”

At the time of the comments, UKIP leader Nigel Farage warned: “When ISIS say they want to flood our continent with half a million Islamic extremists they mean it, and there is nothing in this document [Common European Asylum Policy] that will stop them.

“I fear we face a direct threat to our civilisation if we allow large numbers of people from that war torn region into Europe.”
