Movie “God’s Not Dead” in theaters nationwide March 21st

I went to my local AMC theater to see the film “Lone Survivor“. What amazed me was the trailers for two Hollywood films coming out this year. Both films were Biblically based, one titled “Noah” and the other “Son of God“. I am always wary of movies coming out of Hollywood about the Bible. Not since Charlton Heston has Hollywood truly portrayed the Bible in a meaningful and inspirational way, as it was meant to be.

Now I learn about a third movie being released on March 21st, 2014 titled “God’s Not Dead” featuring Willie and Korie Robertson, the Duck Commander himself.

Two Veterans’ vision for a “Todah Menorah Memorial” is realized

Two Florida veterans have joined together to create a Todah Menorah Memorial. Todah means thank you in Hebrew. The memorial is to thank those military forces that in 1944 freed thousands in Nazi death camps. These forces were American, Canadian/British and Russian. The Today Menorah Memorial is according to Phil Berkowitz and Gene Sweeney co-Founders of LiberatorFoundation.org, a simple “thank you” from all of those who were freed to all of those who freed them.

In 2013, Philip Berkowitz commissioned an artist to create a World War II memorial in honor of fallen American, British and Russian soldiers. The public can now visit the Todah Menorah memorial and share in expressing Mr. Berkowitz’s appreciation for those ‘boots on the ground’ who helped to liberate captive Jews.

Everyone has something they need to say before their time on this Earth ends. It can be as simple as an, “I love you,” or “You’ve always been a good son.”

For many of us, we wait too long and chances are missed to pass on our wisdom, wishes or final words.

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Muslim Brotherhood) likens jihad terror to struggle in U.S. against “income inequality”

He says the jihadis are struggling for “democracy” because they won an election in Egypt (that was almost certainly rigged) and would probably win one in Syria. He doesn’t care, of course, about the fact that if his stout Jeffersonians prevailed, women and non-Muslims would be denied basic rights in the ensuing “democracy.” And as for struggling against “income inequality,” this is an outright call for totalitarian control of the economic system, since income inequality results from achievement inequality, and ability inequality. That kind of control of the economy is not at all incompatible with Islam and Sharia.

…Asked on Morning Joe to explain the disproportionate amount of terrorism against the United States that emanates from the Islamic world, Ellison, the first Muslim Member of Congress, asserted that it is the struggle for democracy, not the Islamic faith, that motivates the terrorism. In a giant leap, Ellison then compared people in Islamic countries “who don’t want to yield power to the vast majority” . . . to the struggle in the United States over . . . “income inequality.”…Ellison never explained why the struggle for democracy in Islamic lands prompted the murder of thousands of Americans on 9-11, the Fort Hood massacre, and other Islamist attacks on the West.

Note: Give historian Jon Meacham credit for having asked the question about the disproportionate amount of terrorism coming from the Islamic world. The rest of the panel eschewed the controversial while interviewing Ellison about his latest book.

JON MEACHAM: How do you talk to people — you must have constituents. You must have people who say what is it with the Islamic world? Why does such a fundamental threat to our national security seem to come disproportionately from that world of faith?KEITH ELLISON: You know what? What I tell them, it’s not about the faith. What it’s really about is in some parts, particularly in the Arab world, there has been, quite frankly, a lack of democracy. We all just saw the Arab Spring ripen into the Arab Winter and now in Egypt we don’t know what’s going to happen in Syria, wow, what’s going to happen there. But it’s really not the faith. What it is is, you know, people who don’t want to yield power to the vast majority and people are struggling over that. And people struggle over that all over this world. We struggled over it here, which is why I named the book, “My country ’tis of thee.” And right here in the United States today, we’re trying to struggle for a greater amount of inclusion and democracy and when you look at income inequality, I mean, this is a real challenge.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX): Defund Obamacare, Fund Military Pensions

In an email Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz calls again for Congress to defund Obamacare. He also calls upon his colleagues to fully fund military pensions. The Ryan-Murray budget does neither of these things.

On the Senate floor Cruz states, “This $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill is outrageous enough, but on top of that it provides direct funding for Obamacare, which is destroying jobs, killing insurance plans, causing premiums to increase and people to lose their doctors. We should defund Obamacare and focus our tax dollars on priorities that help Americans, such as restoring full funding for military pensions for the men and women who protect us. Instead, the Senate squelched any debate over Obamacare and proceeded to pass its trillion dollar spending bill no one has even read. The fact that the Washington establishment is hailing a massive $1 trillion omnibus spending bill as a worthy achievement is exactly what’s wrong with our government today.”

Senator Cruz notes, “This week, once again, Washington politicians failed to listen to the American people. The Senate passed a $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill, and the Majority Leader and Senate Democrats refused to reexamine the detrimental harms many families are facing due to Obamacare. The expansion of federal power and the lawlessness promoted among Senate Democrats and the President must stop.”

“Just this year, President Obama has delayed the employer mandate by a year, without the approval of Congress. He has chosen to modify enforcement of drug crimes, without the approval of Congress. He has granted legal status to illegal immigrants, without the approval of Congress,” states Senator Cruz.

I agree with Senator Cruz when he says, “We have had enough. It is time to make D.C. listen.”

Islam – What the West Needs to Know

Leonard Magruder, President of Vietnam Veterans for Academic Reform, a group which is currently on a mission to have all America see, “Islam: What the West Needs to Know”. The movie ties terrorism to the Koran. Magruder received a note from Gregory Davis, producer of the film, stating, “free showings of the movie in public settings are generally fine.” However, regarding Mr. Magruder’s appeal that citizen groups show the film on local Public Access TV, they will first have to contact Mr. Davis at info@quixoticmediallc.com.

Magruder said he was “appealing especially to the many Vietnam veteran groups that have worked with him over the years on various mission, since they could probably  put together any fee involved in showing the film on local public TV and would be especially motivated as the film directly relates to US national security.”

Mr. Magruder told reporters, “On the various missions in support of their causes we have in our files over a thousand letters of support from Vietnam vet groups.  In one mission, during the 2004 election 38 veteran units responded to our call for polls, in which 6325 responses showed that 80% of all of them would not vote for Kerry, a finding sent out by United Press and was supported later by a much larger poll by Military Times. We have a photo of a large number of vets supporting my mission in Chicago to have PBS show a film on Vietnam they were boycotting, holding signs saying ‘PBS: Show the Film.” Wrote General Westmoreland, ‘Congratulations on getting the PBS film shown around the country.'”

Magruder believes, “We can do it again.We want to create a public demand that President Obama stop failing in foreign policy due to his ignorance regarding the Koran as the root cause  of terrorism.”

Narrated by five of the nation’s top experts on Islam and terrorism, and documented with quotes direct from the Koran, the film establishes without a doubt that the violence against non-Muslims, happening in Myanmar and around the world, and here on 9/11 and later in Boston is, and has always been, an inherent characteristic of Islam. The widespread viewing of this film would create a firewall against that collective multiculturalist absurdity that Islam is “a religion of peace,” a mantra that leaves us totally open to disaster. It sets a definitive standard against which all arguments that Islam is a “religion of peace” must fail. Most of the most important points are in the first half hour. One hour has almost all of them.

Magruder reports, “Here in Lawrence, Kansas, we are putting together a large group of ordinary citizens to approach City Hall with the demand that they sponsor a showing of the film on the local public TV stations. We urge civic leaders in all communities receiving this article to start putting together groups for the same purpose.We are also going to the director of the K.U. Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics to demand that they show the film to the student body. The Institute is being totally irresponsible in keeping this issue off the agenda. Their very mission statement says: “Only through political and civic participation can citizens redirect the course of our nation.”

Mr. Magruder concludes, “I need one person to report that they have shown the film on local TV to their community. I’ll send out a press release to major media telling that it has been done in one community, urging others to follow. Once again I urge everyone to act. Time is running out, especially as regards Iran and nuclear weapons.”

Taliban Commander Forces 10 year-old Sister into Suicide Bombing

A young girl handed herself into a Helmand police station saying her brother had told her to carry out a suicide attack.

A young Afghani girl has been detained by border police in Helmand province after attempting a suicide bombing. She told police that her brother, a local Taliban commander, had ordered her to carry out the attack. Her age is estimated at between 8 and 10. She was found in a state of “shock and confusion.”

The girl, named Spozhmai, told police that her brother Zahir, a local Taliban commander, had convinced her to attack a police station. He had threatened her with allegations of “illicit relations” with the police. She refused to wade across a cold river to carry out the attack and was beaten by her father on her return. Scared, she ran away from home, and handed herself into the police the next day.

The Commander of border police in Lashkar Gah ,  Col. Hamidullah Sediqi, said: “She was forced by two Taliban commanders to wear the suicide vest and blow up the police base. “One of the commanders is her brother. As you can see, this innocent girl, she shouldn’t be doing this. No one and no religion allows her to do this.”

Fawzia Koof, an Afghani member of Parliament said “It’s the first time that we have had a girl so young who is motivated by her brother,” Koof said. “How can it [sic] be so brutal that he is not nice to his own sister?”

Arrested: US Iranian for sending F-35 technical manuals to Tehran

One wonders what is in the heads of security officials at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford when they cleared Mozaffar Khazaee to work on testing of the engines for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.  Khazee, a dual US Iranian citizen since 1991 got laid off by P&W last August and steals thousands of pages of documentation when he left for Indianapolis.  He was caught  by customs officials in Long Beach , California shipping boxes of the F-35 documentation and manuals to his brother in Tehran.

Khazaee was arrested at Newark international Airport  on January 9th prior to boarding a flight that would have ultimately taken him to Tehran.

Was Khazee simply a disaffected laid off P&W employee with misplaced loyalties  or was he a so-called sleeper agent. for the Islamic Regime in Iran?  Certainly, he could have done a better job of concealing the documents that he purloined. That incompetence may ultimately have been his undoing. Doubtless both the Pentagon and P&W security will have their hands full investigating this latest security breach. Is this a case of  inadequate clearance checks by the maligned security clearance  contractor USIS who you may recall cleared Snowden when he took his job in Hawaii with Booz Allen and skipped out with a veritable treasure trove of NSA intercepts to his ultimate destination in Russia?  Note that P&W,’s parent corporation, United Technologies Corporation, was caught in an earlier episode with passing unauthorized helicopter software information to China for which it paid $75 million in fines in 2012.

The East Hartford defense contractor, the sole manufacturer of the aircraft’s engine, declined to comment on how Mozaffar Khazaee, 59, slipped thousands of pages of documents, diagrams, blueprints and technical manuals out the door before he was laid off in August along with hundreds of other employees.

Federal authorities arrested Khazaee at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey on Thursday before he could board a plane bound for Frankfurt, Germany, to meet a connecting flight to Tehran, Iran, according to the U.S. attorney’s office in Connecticut.

Pratt and the Pentagon are highly sensitive about compliance issues after Pratt parent United Technologies Corp. paid $75 million in 2012 to settle charges that Pratt and another UTC unit violated arms control laws and made false statements about exporting military helicopter software to China.

Company spokesman Ray Hernandez said in an emailed statement that the company “has been fully cooperating with the government on this matter and will continue to do so.”

The evidence against Khazaee — filed in an affidavit that was unsealed by a federal judge in Bridgeport after the arrest was made — shows how authorities learned of his plan to ship dozens of boxes, labeled as household goods, to western Iran on a large container ship. Documents filed by federal agents do not address a motive.

In October, Khazaee hired a company to ship the boxes from his apartment on Oakland Street in Manchester to the port in Long Beach, Calif., where they were to be loaded onto the NYK Libra, according to court documents.

In late November, customs agents at the port inspected the shipment and found the documents, and days later identified them as belonging to three separate companies. Documents obtained by federal authorities indicated that the ultimate recipient of the shipment would be Khazaee’s brother-in-law, Mohammad Payendah in Hamadan, Iran, the affidavit said.

Khazaee became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1991, according to the affidavit. He holds U.S. and Iranian passports and has traveled to Iran five times in the past seven years.

The shipment mainly contained documents related to military aircraft engines, including the F-35 Lightning II built by Lockheed Martin and what federal agents referred to as the J136 engine, which could refer to the F136 engine designed, though ultimately not built, by General Electric and Rolls-Royce for the F-35.

President Obama: Time for a vote of “No Confidence”

“I have already achieved a level of ‘no confidence’ in Obama as a leader, but now I urge you to examine this concept,” Vallely wrote in an email to supporters obtained by WND. “If you agree with me that all confidence is lost, I urge you to then ask yourself what is in the realm of the possible. The communists don’t have to overrun the United States of America.  The Democrats are doing it for them.  Here are just the some of the forty-five Communist Goals read into the Congressional Record in 1963 that have already happened. The full list is below my video:

EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen:

CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [“]united force[“] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.
