Beijing Biden vs. America’s Champion: Donald Trump

Let’s be honest about this: We’ve already lost the Republic. You can see this for yourself each time you put on a face mask to leave your home and stand in line 6 feet behind someone else as you wait to enter Safeway or Trader Joe’s or Walmart.

You can see it when you’re denied normal medical service unless you take a Covid-19 test and it comes back negative. If you’re not sick but get a false positive reading, you’re plumb out of luck. They’ll see you in two weeks if, and only if, you test negative—even if you haven’t been sick all this time. Meanwhile, suffer.

Christians can see it every Sunday when they’re locked out of church; Jews can see it every Friday night and Saturday morning when they’re locked out of the synagogue. And no, Zoom meetings where you sit enclosed in your pod and watch your minister, pastor, priest or rabbi on a computer screen or smart-phone doesn’t cut it. Is that how you’d like to take your vacations, sight-seeing in Rome via video? Watching others snorkel and swim in Honolulu? Is this the way you want your Thanksgivings to be, in a computerized video conference room, watching your out-of-town loved ones carve their turkey, waving to you across the ether, to keep you “safe”?

I guarantee you, Italians under Mussolini had it better than this.

The question, then, comes down to this: Can we get our Republic back?

And at least 74 million Americans apparently agree that our only chance of doing so is by ensuring that the real winner of the 2020 election, President Donald J. Trump, is duly installed in office for his second term on January 20, 2021.

Let’s be clear about something else: Joe Biden does not have a transition team, unless by that he means he’s transitioning to an assisted living facility for Alzheimer patients. Nor is he the “President-elect” when no one has elected him. He remains one of two presidential candidates—the one whose backers have apparently perpetrated the biggest vote fraud in our history, as Basement Biden told us himself, in what was either a rare moment of candor and lucidity, or was the Freudian slip of the century. “We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.” As they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

But it seems we can count on the New York Times to run interference for the biggest crooks, criminals and traitors in America. Here’s how the Paper of Record explains the miraculous ascension of Beijing Biden—with his few pathetic and sparsely attended “rallies”—over the dynamo known as Trump, whose numerous rallies draw 30,000 to 50,000 people, not counting the ones they couldn’t fit into the venues.

Never fear, the Times has the answer: “The Biden Bump.” Seriously? Here’s a quote from The Gray Lady: “If Democrats had nominated any candidate other than Joe Biden, President Trump may well have won re-election.” Ahem, did the Times astute journalists fail to notice that Trump swept this election in such a landslide the cheaters had to move into overdrive to try to stem the red wave?

Allow me to offer another, more apt explanation, with a different tagline: “The Biden Dump”—referring to those truckloads and suitcases full of pristine ballots that were dumped into the vote-counting headquarters in half a dozen swing states and loaded into their dicey machines multiple times. Sleepy Joe was spot on when he boasted about the Dems’ vote fraud enterprise.

We can also almost always count on Mitt Romney to stab Trump in the back: “At some point truth, freedom and democracy have to ascend, and you step aside,” said RINO Romney on November 8th, while the fraud was still proceeding apace.

Lucky for us that upwards of 90 million people voted for Trump—if we factor in the percentage of votes the Dems tore up or stole on the Dominion machines—and there’s every possibility we’ll soon witness the rightful winner of this election being inaugurated for his second term. I, for one, can’t wait to see what Melania will wear.

Amid claims of unexplained ballots, Pennsylvania officials unsure how many voted in 2020

The Democrats have utterly destroyed our election system. Corrupt Pennsylvania must be disqualified.

Amid claims of unexplained ballots, Pennsylvania officials unsure how many voted in 2020

Several counties have not uploaded full “voter histories,” said a spokesperson.

By Daniel Payne, Just the News, December 31, 2020:

The state of Pennsylvania is still uncertain just how many residents voted in the 2020 election, a state official revealed this week, amid allegations of discrepancies between ballots and voter rolls in the battleground state.

Pennsylvania was thrown back into the limelight this week when a group of Republican state representatives claimed to have found “troubling discrepancies between the numbers of total votes counted and total number of voters who voted” in the state last month.

“A comparison of official county election results to the total number of voters who voted on November 3, 2020 as recorded by the Department of State shows that 6,962,607 total ballots were reported as being cast,” a press release announcing the findings said, “while DoS/SURE system records indicate that only 6,760,230 total voters actually voted.”

SURE is Pennsylvania’s Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors, the state’s voter registration database. That databank is run by the state’s Bureau of Election Security and Technology, itself administered by the Department of State.

The Pennsylvania State Department strongly disputed the representatives’ allegations of mismatched vote totals, with spokeswoman Wanda Murren calling it “uninformed, lay analysis combined with a basic lack of election administration knowledge.”

“This obvious misinformation put forth by [the representatives] is the hallmark of so many of the claims made about this year’s presidential election,” Murren continued, calling the allegations “wholly without basis.”

Voter histories still incomplete for 2020

Multiple representatives who signed onto the analysis would not comment on its conclusions, pointing Just the News toward Rep. Frank Ryan, who appeared to have spearheaded the initiative. Ryan did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

But Murren in her statement and in interviews with Just the News revealed that, even as the year comes to a close nearly two months after the election itself, the state is still ultimately not in possession of the exact number of voters who cast a ballot in Pennsylvania this year.

In her statement disputing the findings of Ryan and the other representatives, Murren said: “We are unclear as to what data the legislators used for this most recent ‘analysis’. But the only way to determine the number of voters who voted in November from the SURE system is through the vote histories.”

“At this time,” she continued, “there are still a few counties that have not completed uploading their vote histories to the SURE system. These counties, which include Philadelphia, Allegheny, Butler and Cambria, would account for a significant number of voters.”

In email and phone interviews with Just the News, Murren confirmed that voting histories “are each tied to an individual voter” and that those histories are “the only way to determine exactly how many voters voted in the election.”

Asked to clarify how the Department of State certified the election without apparently knowing how many voters ultimately voted in the election, Murren replied: “Each county certifies the vote totals for each individual candidate. The secretary’s certification is based on the certifications from each county. In Pennsylvania, it is the counties that are authorized to administer all aspects of elections — from voter registration to canvassing the ballots.”

Murren pointed to the Department of State’s website, which lists just under seven million ballots cast in the election this year.

That figure is reflective of “the number of votes cast for each candidate,” she said. “Those numbers come from the scanners. And those scanners are totally anonymous. It’s just the votes cast for individual candidates.”

“What the counties are doing now,” she continued, “is strictly administrative. They are now going back and telling our database which voters voted.”

“We don’t know which candidates they voted for,” she added of the administrative lists, as “those counts are already established” in the scanner tallies.

The number of ballots cast is not necessarily going to match up exactly with the number of all the voters who voted, Murren said. Still, the number of ballots on the state’s website should be considered a rough estimate of the number of people who voted, she said.

“We have to keep in mind those people whose ballots were cast and not counted,” she added. “That’s going to be one of the differences. And there are people who cast a ballot and don’t vote—not a lot, but it happens.”

“This is not uncommon,” she said of the delay, “and especially with the volume of ballots we had this year.”

Pennsylvania has been at the center of much of the controversy since last month’s election. The state was named, along with three others, in a major litigation effort by Texas and 18 other states earlier this month to delay the certification of the 2020 election results pending investigations into alleged voting irregularities there.

The state was also the site for what the Trump campaign legal team argued was a two-tiered voting system leading up to the election, with multiple counties adopting last-minute rule changes to ballot curing procedures and numerous other counties declining to change those rules prior to Nov. 3.

The state also weathered multiple accusations that election watchers and poll workers were stymied from properly surveying ballot-counting procedures and other election work.

Two of the localities Murren said have not yet submitted their voter histories — Philadelphia and Allegheny — are reliable Democratic strongholds. Philadelphia has reliably voted Democratic in presidential elections for decades, with the city itself voting 81% in favor of Joe Biden this year.

Sen. Josh Hawley Isn’t The First — And Won’t Be The Last — To Object To The Electoral College Certification

Jan. 6 won’t be the first time partisan lawmakers alleged that a wide conspiracy should nullify the results of a presidential election.

As Americans witnessed in 2017, such challenges also have the effect of weakening American trust in institutions. Two out of three Democrats, for example, believed Russia actually changed vote tallies despite no credible evidence, according to a 2018 poll from YouGov. Similarly, Trump’s crusade has led nearly 80 percent of Republicans to believe the election was stolen.

Just this week, Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley set off a flurry of criticism when he announced Wednesday his intent to object to the Electoral College certification Jan. 6. Hawley cited suppression from big-tech platforms as interference in the election along with election laws in Pennsylvania.

Hawley’s objection isn’t quite on the same level that we’ve seen from elements of the #stopthesteal movement, namely that somehow George Soros teamed up with Venezuela to rig voting machines (another election anxiety with a long history).

Still, the sentiment recalls liberal efforts in January 2017 to cast poorly made Russian memes on Facebook and mean emails about Chelsea Clinton as the deciders of 2016’s election, rather than the plurality of Americans who voted for Trump over Hillary Clinton.

America saw a situation similar to Hawley’s Pennsylvania contention in 2005, when a group of Democrats objected to counting Ohio’s 20 electoral votes after insisting Ohio’s election was riddled with widespread “irregularities” that favored former President George W. Bush, according to CNN.

Joined by Democratic California Sen. Barbara Boxer, objectors, including Ohio Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, said that a report by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee found “numerous, serious election irregularities” in Ohio that led to “a significant disenfranchisement of voters,” according to CNN.

“How can we possibly tell millions of Americans who registered to vote, who came to the polls in record numbers, particularly our young people … to simply get over it and move in,” Tubbs Jones said at a press conference with Boxer, according to the report.

In order for a formal objection to be considered, a member of both the House and the Senate must question a state’s electoral votes in writing, according to The New York Times (NYT).

As required by the rules, lawmakers were sent back to their chambers for two hours to debate the challenge and vote on it, CNN reported. Ultimately Ohio’s electoral votes were awarded to Bush.

Bush’s 2001 highly contested win in the Supreme Court also led to attempts to object to the certification of electoral votes.

The 2000 election was overshadowed by conspiracies, including one that then-Governor of Florida Jeb Bush threw the election to his brother.

During the 36-day recount period, the governor’s office made 95 phone calls to Bush’s presidential campaign, according to the Des Moines Register. While the governor was said to have recused himself “from any involvement in what happened after Nov.7, he did not recuse himself from his role as a brother,” Bush’s communications director Katie Baur said, according to the report. It’s unclear what his “role as a brother” entailed.

There were also questions over whether then-Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris presented a conflict of interest since she was also a co-chair on the Bush campaign, according to the report.

A dozen members of the Congressional Black Caucus, along with a few other representatives, tried to block the counting of Florida’s electoral votes, arguing black voters had been disenfranchised, according to the NYT. Democratic Illinois Rep. Jesse L. Jackson Jr. said it was a “sad day in America” after no senator signed the objection, which is required in order for a vote on the matter to occur.

Democratic Florida Rep. Alcee L. Hastings also attempted to object, saying there was “overwhelming evidence of official misconduct” before then-Vice President Al Gore silenced him from speaking because he lacked support from a senator, according to the report.

Hawley’s recent announcement that he would be objecting to the certification of results is the latest attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election by Republicans and has received criticism from both Republicans and Democrats.

Former Democratic presidential candidate and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar called his objection a “coup attempt” in a tweet.

Republican Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse called congressional Republicans’ attempt to reverse President-elect Joe Biden’s victory a “dangerous ploy” in a statement posted to Facebook.

“All the clever arguments and rhetorical gymnastics in the world won’t change the fact that this January 6th effort is designed to disenfranchise millions of Americans simply because they voted for someone in a different party,” Sasse wrote. “We ought to be better than that.”

Republican Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks and a handful of other House Republicans are planning on objecting the electoral votes, meaning a vote on the issue is likely, according to The Hill.

Hawley noted that he is “entitled” to object to the certification of votes just as “Democrats in Congress objected during the certification of electoral votes in order to raise concerns about election integrity” following both the 2004 and 2016 elections.

“I cannot vote to certify the electoral college results on January 6 without raising the fact that some states, particularly Pennsylvania, failed to follow their own state election laws,” Hawley said in a statement. “And I cannot vote to certify without pointing out the unprecedented effort of mega corporations, including Facebook and Twitter, to interfere in this election, in support of Joe Biden.”

Hawley’s attempt to question an official Biden victory comes just four years after then-Vice President Biden himself was forced to gavel down House Democrats.

Democratic Massachusetts Rep. Jim McGovern objected to the certification of Alabama’s votes, arguing “the electors were not lawfully certified, especially given the confirmed and illegal activities engaged by the government of Russia,” according to CNN. Biden gaveled down his objection because he did not have any backing from a senator.

Democratic Washington Rep. Pramila Jayapal objected to Georgia’s vote certification, with Biden telling her “it is over,” according to the report.

Biden interrupted Democratic Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee when she attempted to object to the certification of votes after New York’s tally was read.

“I object on the massive voter suppression that included-” she began.

Biden interrupted her, saying “the debate is not in order” as the congresswoman lacked the required senator signature, CNN reported.

In 11 instances, Biden was forced to make it clear that objections were moot if not backed by a senator as a handful of representatives attempted to block the vote.

“There is no debate. There is no debate. There is no debate,” Biden said as he continued to throw down the gavel.

The only question remains, like Gore and Biden before him, will Vice President Mike Pence do the same?

The New York Times Ignoring The Swalwell Scandal Explains The Problem

When we talk about America increasingly becoming two nations, it’s not about race or income, it’s about competing information silos that have been driven by the media choosing to be the silo for one worldview and political side instead of fair, neutral information sources that can fuel the debates between worldviews. Race and income are simply topics within the separate silos.

The New York Times is the primary example of this as the nation’s most influential mainstream media organ. Most newspapers in some fashion follow the lead of the Times, giving it outsized influence beyond its gigantic digital presence. The Time’s coverage, or lack thereof, of the U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell scandal is an example of the daily fueling of the competing information silos that it participates in, even leads in.

Swalwell had a long relationship, probably intimate, with a Chinese spy called Fang Fang. These are not right-wing accusations. These are known facts from the FBI investigation of the spy. The FBI informed Swalwell about her and the California Congressman said he ended it immediately. But Swalwell led the charge against Trump on Russian collusion — from the House Intelligence Committee. That committee requires high clearance and gets high-level, classified documents.

This is a pretty big scandal, and once upon a time it would have been a juicy one. Swalwell ran for President and has been all over mainstream media news channels. This all has broken over the past month or so. But as is seen with the screenshot of a search for the number of New York Times stories on it in the past month, the media is ignoring it.

The newspaper that fancies itself as reporting “all the news that’s fit to print” found no news worth printing of a Chinese Communist spy sleeping with a high-level Congressman on the House Intelligence Committee.

This is prima facia a major scandal from a high-profile member of Congress with a big juicy twist of hypocrisy, and the Times finds no news fit to print. In a very measurable way, there is actually more truth to the Swalwell scandal than to the literally thousands of stories the old gray lady did on Trump Russia collusion. The latter covered breathlessly never happened. The former is ongoing and remains ignored. This is, after all, what you would expect from Democrat communications operatives.

Most conservatives know about Swalwell’s Chinese spy scandal, because conservative media has been covering it. Readers of the Times? Nope. And so we have the two information silos driving Americans further apart based on information. If we live in a time of information warfare, this is certainly part of it.

The competing silos continue to feed the impossibility of having discussions or debates between right and left because both are operating from different sets of information. There is no common language of information to form discussions. It’s just a rat-a-tat-tat of righties firing off from our information silo and lefties firing off from theirs, and both assuming the other side is completely ignorant.

The fault for this mess falls squarely on the mainstream media, which, having abdicated all responsible coverage of events, simply cannot be trusted. They occasionally do some good stories, but they do a lot of Trump-Russia and non-Swalwell type reporting

So on any given day, you simply cannot trust them to be giving you the information you need. You can trust them to give you the Democratic talking points. Both sides can trust in that part. So if you’re a solid Democrat, they feed what you want to hear. If you’re a solid Republican, you recognize them as Democrat communication operatives.

And so more and more, the two Americas cannot even talk to each other.

EXCELSIOR! Congressman Jeff Duncan plans to object to Electoral College certification

Another Spartacus steps forward.

LAURENS, S.C. (WSPA) — Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) announced Wednesday he intends to object to the Electoral College certification in the House of Representatives on Jan. 6.

Duncan released the following statement announcing his decision:

I swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States as a Member of Congress, and with that oath comes the vital role of ensuring the legality and integrity of our free and fair election system. The 2020 election saw unprecedented institutional issues like states changing their voting systems in violation of their state constitutions, unelected bureaucrats changing election law instead of lawmakers themselves, poll watchers prohibited from doing their jobs, failure to properly scrutinize the validity of mail-in voting, and the list goes on. We need to shed light on the issues that took place during the 2020 election to preserve our electoral system for generations to come. Our mission is simple: Count every legal vote, throw out every illegal vote, and investigate every irregularity and allegation. All Americans should be on board with this mission.“On January 6, 2021, I plan to object to the Electoral College certification from states that experienced these unprecedented issues like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. I plan to object for the people of the Third District of South Carolina and the millions of Americans who are demanding transparency into the 2020 election. We the People know this is a pivotal decision for our great country. May God bless the United States of America.

PENNSYLVANIA: Certification of Presidential Results Premature and In Error

Pennsylvania Lawmakers: Numbers Don’t Add Up.

HARRISBURG – A group of state lawmakers performing extensive analysis of election data today revealed troubling discrepancies between the numbers of total votes counted and total number of voters who voted in the 2020 General Election, and as a result are questioning how the results of the presidential election could possibly have been certified by Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar and Governor Tom Wolf. These findings are in addition to prior concerns regarding actions by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Secretary, and others impacting the conduct of the election.

A comparison of official county election results to the total number of voters who voted on November 3, 2020 as recorded by the Department of State shows that 6,962,607 total ballots were reported as being cast, while DoS/SURE system records indicate that only 6,760,230 total voters actually voted. Among the 6,962,607 total ballots cast, 6,931,060 total votes were counted in the presidential race, including all three candidates on the ballot and write-in candidates.

The difference of 202,377 more votes cast than voters voting, together with the 31,547 over- and under-votes in the presidential race, adds up to an alarming discrepancy of 170,830 votes, which is more than twice the reported statewide difference between the two major candidates for President of the United States. On November 24, 2020, Boockvar certified election results, and Wolf issued a certificate of ascertainment of presidential electors, stating that Vice President Joe Biden received 80,555 more votes than President Donald Trump.

The lawmakers issued the following statement in response to their findings:

“We were already concerned with the actions of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Executive branch, and election officials in certain counties contravening and undermining the Pennsylvania Election Code by eliminating signature verification, postmarks, and due dates while allowing the proliferation of drop boxes with questionable security measures and the unauthorized curing of ballots, as well as the questionable treatment of poll watchers, all of which created wholesale opportunities for irregularities in the 2020 presidential election.”

“However, we are now seeing discrepancies on the retail level which raise even more troubling questions regarding irregularities in the election returns. These findings call into question the accuracy of the SURE system, consistency in the application of the Pennsylvania Election Code from county to county, and the competency of those charged with oversight of elections in our Commonwealth.

“These numbers just don’t add up, and the alleged certification of Pennsylvania’s presidential election results was absolutely premature, unconfirmed, and in error.”

State Representative Frank Ryan indicated that state legislators sponsoring and participating in this analysis were himself, Rep. Russ Diamond, Rep. Dave Zimmerman, Rep. Barb Gleim, Rep. Stephanie Borowicz, Rep. Dan Moul, Rep. Paul Schemel, Rep. Dawn Keefer, Rep. Eric Nelson, Rep. Mike Jones, Rep. Rob Kauffman, Rep. David Maloney, Rep. David Rowe, Rep. Kathy Rapp, Rep. Rasmussen Poll: Vast Majority Of Republicans Say Trump Should Be Model For GOP

Polling data indicates that a vast majority of Republican voters want President Donald Trump to remain the GOP’s standard-bearer even after the end of his term in office.

A poll released Monday by Rasmussen Reports found that 72% of likely Republican voters believe the GOP should be more like Trump than the average Republican member of Congress. Just 24% of respondents thought Congressional Republicans were a better model for the GOP’s future.

Voters in general are more split about whether the GOP should model itself after Trump or Congressional Republicans. Among all likely voters, 40% backed Trump as the GOP’s standard-bearer while 45% backed Congressional Republicans. Independent and Democratic voters were much more likely to say the GOP should model itself after the average Republican member of Congress.

Republican voters were also more likely to favor a new candidate in 2024, according to the poll. 52% of respondents said the GOP should look for a fresh face to run for president in 2024, while 33% said the GOP should promote a candidate who has already run in the past.

Among all likely voters, 59% said Republicans should look for a fresh face in 2024 while 25% said they should promote a previous candidate. Independent and Democratic voters were also much more likely to back a fresh face on the 2024 Republican ticket.

Trump has reportedly considered running again in 2024 — sources close to the president say he could even skip President-elect Joe Biden’s swearing-in and announce his 2024 bid with a campaign rally on Inauguration Day.

The president is likely to remain a kingmaker in the GOP even after he leaves office. Polling data indicates that Republican voters almost unanimously approve of him and an Echelon Insights poll released earlier this month found that a majority of Republican voters would back Trump in the 2024 primaries.

Former presidential candidates like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio have been floated as potential 2024 contenders. Frequent mentions in 2024 polling data also include senior Trump administration officials like Vice President Mike Pence and members of the Trump family like Donald Trump Jr.

The poll surveyed 1,000 likely voters through a national telephone and online survey conducted between Dec. 21-22. The poll had a margin of error of +/- three percentage points.

Stacey Abrams’ Sister Blocks Georgia Officials From Removing 4,000 Voters From Rolls Before Election

By Howard Roark, CPT, December 29, 2020

A federal judge on Monday ordered two Georgia counties to reverse a decision purging more than 4,000 voters from the rolls ahead of the Jan. 5 runoff elections.

The judge, Leslie Abrams Gardner, is the sister of former Dem candidate for governor in Georgia Stacy Abrams.

“I believe that each of the individuals named as a result of registering their name and change of address to a location outside of Muscogee County, removed to another state with the intention of making the new state their residence,” a local voter named Ralph Russell who made the challenge said.

“Thus, each individual has lost their residence in Muscogee County, and consequently, each individual is ineligible to vote in Muscogee County.”

From Politico:

Gardner’s 11-page ruling released Monday night noted that the removals of the voters appeared to violate federal law because they were not given proper notice and because they qualify as the type of systematic voter roll cleaning that is not permitted within 90 days of a federal election.

The Muscogee board filed a motion earlier Monday arguing that Gardner must remove herself from the case based on her relationship with her sister, Abrams.

Lawyers for the board, described Abrams as “a Georgia politician and voting rights activist who was the Democratic candidate in the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election and has since engaged in various highly publicized efforts to increase voter registration and turnout for the 2020 general election in Georgia.”

The motion requesting Gardner’s recusal noted that a voter registration group affiliated with Abrams, Fair Fight, filed a suit in another federal court in Georgia last week complaining that a national organization dedicated to targeting voter fraud, True the Vote, is making unjustified challenges to Georgia voters in the lead-up to the Jan. 5 runoffs.

“Abrams’ involvement in the Fair Fight Litigation … is sufficient to satisfy the standard for mandatory judicial recusal,” the board’s attorneys wrote. “Abrams has a clear interest in the outcome of this proceeding and other similarly situated litigation in Georgia due to her voting advocacy through projects such as Fair Fight and the New Georgia Project.”

Gallup: President Trump is Most Admired Man of 2020

Ends Barack Obama’s 12-year most-admired run.

Donald Trump, Michelle Obama Most Admired in 2020

By Jeffrey M. Jones

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Americans are most likely to name President Donald Trump and Michelle Obama as most admired man and woman in 2020. Trump tied former President Barack Obama for the honor last year but edged out his predecessor this year. Trump’s first-place finish ends a 12-year run as most admired man for Obama, tied with Dwight Eisenhower for the most ever.

Meanwhile, Michelle Obama ranks as most admired woman for the third year in a row. Vice President-elect Kamala Harris is second.
Most Admired Man

The incumbent president is usually top of mind when Gallup asks Americans to name, without prompting, which man living anywhere in the world they admire most. In the 74 times Gallup has asked the open-ended most admired man question since 1946, the incumbent president has topped the list 60 times. Harry Truman (1946-1947 and 1950-1952), Lyndon Johnson (1967-1968), Richard Nixon (1973), Gerald Ford (1974-1975), Jimmy Carter (1980), George W. Bush (2008) and Trump (2017-2018) are the incumbent presidents who did not finish first in past years.

When the sitting president is not the top choice, it is usually because he is unpopular politically. That was the case in 2017 and 2018 when Trump had 36% and 40% approval ratings, respectively, and finished second to Obama as most admired man.

Even though Trump is similarly unpopular now — 39% approve of his performance — his dominant performance among Republicans, contrasted with Democrats splitting their choices among multiple public figures, pushes him to the top of the 2020 most admired man list.

Forty-eight percent of Republicans name Trump this year, with no other public figure receiving more than 2% of Republicans’ votes.
Obama is the top choice among Democrats, at 32%, but that is down from 41% last year. President-elect Joe Biden (13%) is also commonly named by Democrats.
Additionally, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, is named by 5% of Democrats but only 1% of Republicans, further contributing to Democrats’ relative dispersion of choices.
Independents are evenly split between Trump (11%) and Obama (11%), with another 3% naming Biden and 2% Fauci.

Overall, 18% of Americans name Trump, 15% name Obama, 6% Biden and 3% Fauci. The remaining top 10 men include Pope Francis, businessman Elon Musk, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates, basketball player LeBron James, and the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists.

Gallup, Dec. 1-17, 2020

In addition to the public figures named by Americans, 11% name a relative or friend as the man they admire most. Twenty-one percent did not offer an opinion in response to the open-ended question.

This year marks the 10th time Trump has finished among the top 10 men, including four times before he entered party politics — 1988 through 1990 and 2011. Gates has finished in the top 10 a total of 21 times, while Obama has now done so 15 times and the Dalai Lama 11 times. Biden has been in the top 10 once before, in 2018, while Fauci and James are new to the list.

The Rev. Billy Graham, who passed away in 2018, finished among the top 10 a record 61 times during his life. Former President Jimmy Carter is the living man with the most top 10 finishes — 29 — putting him behind Graham and Ronald Reagan for third all-time. Carter finishes just outside the top 10 this year but made the 2019 list.
