VIDEO: What Average Americans Think About The Caravan? We Asked.

People on the streets of Washington, D.C., told The Daily Caller News Foundation whether or not they’d be fine with letting a caravan of migrants from Central America enter into the United States.

Almost all of people interviewed thought the migrants traveling in the caravan should be welcomed with open arms. A few believed a process of vetting should occur for asylum seekers and that others should go through the process of legal immigration.

“I think they need to be vetted. I’m all for having asylum seekers, but we need to make sure that our security’s not being breached,” a woman told TheDCNF.

Marijuana users: Have withdrawal symptoms after quitting; Higher risk for stroke

Some heavy cannabis users experience withdrawal after quitting

Twelve percent of frequent marijuana smokers experience cannabis withdrawal symptoms as defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-5 (DSM-5), according to researchers at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The symptoms include emotional, behavioral and physical symptoms.

Study participants were drawn from the 2012-2013 National Epidemiologic Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions-III (NESARC-III) which conducted face-to-face interviews with 36,309 people in their homes. The analysis involved 1,527 participants who used marijuana three or more times a week during the year prior to the interview.

Withdrawal symptoms were associated with significant mental disability, family history of depression, and several psychiatric disorders. The latter include mood disorders; anxiety disorders such as social phobia, agoraphobia, and panic disorder; personality disorder; and post-traumatic stress disorder.

The most common symptoms people experienced were:

  • Nervousness/anxiety, 76 percent
  • Hostility, 72 percent
  • Sleep difficulty, 68 percent, and
  • Depressed mood, 59 percent

“Most users of the newer modes of administration—vaping and edibles—also smoke cannabis. Therefore, for users in modes other than smoking, the amount of consumption could be underestimated,” said Deborah Hasin, PhD, professor of epidemiology at Columbia’s school of public health. “Given the increase in cannabis potency in recent decades, developing reliable measures to investigate the effect of cannabis concentration and mode of administration will be important in advancing our understanding of cannabis withdrawal syndrome.”

Study shows higher rate of stroke among pot smokers

Marijuana users face a 15 percent increased risk for any kind of stroke and a 29 percent increased risk for ischemic stroke, the most common kind, says lead investigator, Dr. Krupa Patel, of a new study presented Friday at the World Stroke Congress in Montreal. She is a research physician at Avalon University School of Medicine in Willemstad, Curacao.

Dr. Patel cautions that this does not prove marijuana is the cause, but that there is an association that puts marijuana users at a higher risk.

Her study found that in more than 2.3 million American recreational marijuana users who were hospitalized, the risk of stroke rose compared to those who did not use the drug. Over five years, the rate of strokes increased from 1.3 to 1.5 percent among marijuana users across all age groups, from teenagers to adults in their 80s. More than 32,000 marijuana users in the study suffered a stroke including nearly 19,500 who had an ischemic stroke.

Rossen Reports Spot the pot: Schools using marijuana test kit to show results instantly

This Today Show’s Rossen Report features a new test kit that quickly identifies the presence of marijuana. Jeff Rossen travels to Colorado where marijuana is legal and visits a high school there that uses the test. He demonstrates how the test works on marijuana-infused and non-marijuana-infused cookies, gummy candies, vape pens, and backpacks.

The kit includes a swab that is rubbed on one of its testing strips. The swab turns red if any THC, the active ingredient in marijuana primarily responsible for the high, is present in or on the items.

States with legal marijuana see rise in car crashes, studies find

Car crashes are up 6 percent in early states that legalized marijuana for recreational use according to two new studies. The Highway Loss Data Institute study compared collision claims filed to insurers in the legal states of Colorado, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon with claims filed in the nonlegal states of Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming.

The rates of increase range from 13 percent in Colorado and 10 percent in Washington to 1 percent in Oregon for an overall total among the three states of 6 percent.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reviewed police-reported crashes before and after recreational marijuana was legalized in Colorado, Washington, and Oregon. It found a 5.2 increase in the rate of crashes per million vehicle registrations, compared with neighboring states.

Both studies acknowledge that the presence of THC in body fluids does not necessarily mean a driver is impaired and that more drivers are tested for alcohol than marijuana. Even so, “evidence is growing that legalizing its use increases crashes,” says David Harkey, president of the two institutes that conducted the studies.

VIDEO: Vandals Throw Giant Boulder Through Representative McCarthy’s Office Window

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s office in California was vandalized on Monday, according to an Instagram post by the Congressman.

McCarthy, whose local office is in Bakersfield, CA, posted photos of the suspects and some of the damage. Two young men were caught on surveillance camera outside of the office, which had its window smashed in by a large boulder.

“Does anyone know these two guys? They threw a boulder thru our office window and took office equipment,” McCarthy wrote on his Instagram account.

Click on the image to watch the security camera video.

McCarthy’s office is not the first GOP office to be vandalized. A Republican Party office in Wyoming was intentionally set on fire just two days after it opened in September.

Vandals later hit The Metropolitan Republican Club on Manhattan’s Upper East Side in October, smashing windows and spray-painting anarchist signs on the doors.

McCarthy has been tapped to replace Rep. Paul Ryan as Speaker of the House after Ryan steps down at the end of the year, but he is facing a challenge from House Freedom Caucus Republican Jim Jordan.

A spokesperson for McCarthy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

VIDEO: Why You Should OPPOSE FLORIDA AMENDMENT 13 in the General Election

Amendment 13 to the Florida Constitution is being characterized as an amendment to end wagering (betting) on greyhound races in Florida, but it goes much further than that.

If Amendment 13 is passed, extreme animal rights organizations will have a new constitutional standard to challenge any and all activities they find objectionable.  In short, many suspect their first action will be to immediately begin work to ban all hunting and fishing.

Amendment 13 includes the phrase:

“The humane treatment of animals is a fundamental value of the people of the State of Florida.”  That language will not appear on the ballot BUT IT IS IN THE AMENDMENT.

Since reasonable people don’t want animals treated inhumanely, at first blush many Floridians would agree with that statement in general terms.  However, there is a vast difference between what the public believes is “inhumane” and what animal rights extremists groups and their supporters would call “inhumane.”

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), is the lead organization pushing for Amendment 13’s passage.   HSUS opposes hundreds of common and traditional activities involving animals because they claim they are “inhumane.”

In fact, the list of activities HSUS and other animal extremist organizations find objectionable is huge and includes hunting, fishing, farming, animal husbandry, marine parks and more.  That’s what this is really about.

Those groups even claim that animals shouldn’t be owned as pets because it’s inhumane.

In short, Amendment 13 is not really about greyhound racing, it’s a front for much more.

Clearly the intent is to establish a legal foothold in the Florida Constitution that they can use to go after legitimate activities, like hunting, that they don’t like.

Whether you are voting Absentee, Early Voting or at the Polls on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, please oppose Amendment 13.

VIDEO: Broward County Deputy Sheriffs Endorse Ron DeSantis. Disgusted with Gillum.

Is Andrew Gillum a “Manchurian Candidate?” Is Andrew Gillum dangerous for law enforcement in Florida?

Big League Politics shows that George Soros, a Gillum supporter/major contributor, is trying to give convicted felons the right to vote in Florida. In a column titled “George Soros Tries To Give Voting Rights To Florida Felons” Patrick Howley reports:

Democrats are making a full-court press to elect Andrew Gillum over Trump supporter Ron DeSantis, which would give Democrats the governorship when Trump comes up for re-election, and would give Democrats as many as four picks on the Florida Supreme Court, according to close observers.

But the dirtiest play they’re pulling in Florida is known as Amendment 4.

Amendment 4 is a ballot initiative to restore voting rights to felons in the state of Florida, similar to Terry McAuliffe’s ploy to give felons voting rights in Virginia. This would have a big impact on the 2020 election.

George Soros has contributed $1.5 million to the effort to support Amendment 4, according to a report from the Center for Public Integrity. Other billionaires are also spending big on the effort, including Nicholas Pritzker according to the report, which is sourced in part from Open Society Foundations records:

The answers to these questions are essential in order to VOTE INTELLIGENTLY on November 6, 2018!

The below video exposes Gillum’s past, radical views towards law enforcement officers in such a way that make it impossible for clear-thinking people to want Gillum as the next Governor of Florida.

JUST RELEASED: Colion Noir Exposes Seattle’s Heroin Epidemic [Video]

“Seattle was supposed to be this shining beacon of what the possibilities were for your life, raising your kids, your family… there’s a lot going on here that’s being actively ignored. By the politicians, even the people, almost kind of a desire to just ignore a very blatant but then yet allusive reality that is a heroin epidemic disguising itself as a homeless epidemic.”

Colion Noir shines a light on the heroin epidemic disguising itself as a homelessness problem, that is plaguing Seattle, while the politicians refuse to even acknowledge the issue and instead scapegoat gun owners and diminish the rights of the law-abiding. This is the true story of Seattle and its Utopian lie.

McCaskill Tapes: For Your Lies Only

To most people, it seemed odd when Planned Parenthood released its first round of campaign spending back in March, and Missouri wasn’t on it. After all, Senator Claire McCaskill (D) is a woman, she’s pro-abortion, and Planned Parenthood was one of her biggest supporters when she won the seat in 2012. “Either McCaskill is a lost cause,” reporters speculated, or something else is going on. Turns out, there’s plenty going on. And thanks to Project Veritas, voters have a front-row seat.

Maybe, the Washington Examiner said at the time, “Planned Parenthood is keeping its distance to protect McCaskill… whose voters may be less inclined to support lawmakers affiliated with the controversial organization.” Well, Planned Parenthood may be keeping its distance publicly, but according to campaign staff, the financial support never stopped. They just moved it off the books and behind the scenes, where voters in Missouri would never know. In a new video from James O’Keefe, voters are finding out that gun control isn’t the only thing their senator’s lying about.

In the latest undercover footage, McCaskill’s staff admits that while “Planned Parenthood refuses to directly support her campaign in order to help her keep up her moderate image among pro-life Democrats, they still donate through other covert means in order to support her campaign.” In Wednesday’s video, the senator’s employees tell Project Veritas’s journalist that Planned Parenthood donates to “outside groups that funnel support to Ms. McCaskill, instead of supporting her directly.”

Nicholas Starost, a campaign staffer, explains that the country’s biggest abortion business, “go[es] through other means to get us that money.” It’s a well-orchestrated scheme, he says giddily. “It’s f***ing beautiful. It’s great when it works for us and not against us, let’s be honest.” Another McCaskill operative, Darcy Becker, chimes in. “It’s not that they don’t support Claire, it’s because they know it’s a tough state to win for a Democrat. Even some moderate Democrats are pro-life,” she explains, “and even those Republicans that are going to vote for Claire because they’re pretty moderate, she could lose them if Planned Parenthood donated money to her.” Watch the exchange for yourself below.

And that’s not all. Her staff admits that — contrary to what she tells pro-life Democrats — McCaskill is “100 percent pro-abortion.” So she’s openly lying about her position? “Yeah, I think it’s like a tactic to… try to get the moderate voters.” Now, 24 hours into this latest PR disaster, McCaskill headquarters is scrambling. In a desperate attempt to take the heat off, the senator is demanding an investigation. But into what?

Good question. On last night’s “Washington Watch,” James couldn’t believe the ridiculousness of McCaskill’s reaction. “She says we’ve committed fraud. I don’t know what that means by recording the folks. I’m committing fraud by recording what they’ve said? I think the real fraud is the bait-and-switch when the worker for her says that moderate voters are going to have to ‘get over it’ after they impeach Trump. After they do what they are not supposed to do — and what they told voters they would not do. That to me is a better example of fraud — lying to the constituents. Our cameras just recorded it.”

As if that weren’t pathetic enough, the McCaskill camp is also going after opponent (and Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley) for somehow infiltrating her office. That’s interesting, James told me, since “I’ve never met her opponent. I’ve never talked to the attorney general of Missouri… [but] she’s on defense because this video shows her staffers saying that one has to mislead moderate voters in order to get elected in a state like Missouri.”

For his part, Hawley is pushing back — and hard. “Let’s review last 24 hrs,” he tweeted. “1) @clairecmc & staff caught on tape telling the truth 2) McCaskill accuses ME of fraud 3) McCaskill demands Missouri give her special prosecutor to investigate her truth telling. Senator, accusing people of crimes is a serious thing. If you have evidence of a crime, please come forward with it immediately. Otherwise, please stop politicizing the legal process for your reelection.”

On the show last night, I asked James why he thought McCaskill and her staff would be comfortable enough to admit they’re dishonest. “Part of it is hubris… ” he explained. “Because the media doesn’t hold any of these red state Democrats accountable, a lot of these guys inside the office were quite open about the deceptions. And it wasn’t just one of them. Each and every staffer we met had a different type of deception.” Let’s face it, he said, “It didn’t take a tremendous amount of espionage for me to do this. I just had to walk in and ask questions and get responses, which is what journalists are supposed to do.”

The unmasking of McCaskill’s campaign reveals a lot more than the deception and potential violation of campaign finance laws. It shows that many in the Democrat Party realize their pro-abortion, anti-God, anti-family, and anti-gun agenda is out of step with the majority of American voters. We can’t allow that dishonesty to prevail — take the pledge to Pray — Vote — Stand!

VIDEO: Pocahontas Descendant — Elizabeth Warren Should Apologize

A Pocahontas descendent is calling on Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., to apologize for claiming Native American heritage.

Debbie White Dove Porreco, who says she is a descendant of the 17th-century Native American Pocahontas famous for allegedly saving the life of Englishman John Smith, appeared on Fox News Tuesday and called on Warren to “come back and apologize to everybody for what she’s done.”

The interview came a day after the Democratic senator released the results of a DNA test that “strongly support the existence of an unadmixed Native American ancestor in the individual’s pedigree, likely in the range of 6-10 generations ago,” according to Carlos D. Bustamante, a professor at Stanford University, and the author of the report Warren released on her DNA results.

On “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Tuesday, Porreco noted that while she was “glad” Warren took a DNA test, “It did prove that she isn’t the Cherokee Indian that she’s been claiming to be for so long.”

Porreco, a member of Trumpettes USA, had also appeared on Carlson’s show in May and called on Warren to take a DNA test to prove her Native American heritage.

After becoming a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Warren had the university change her listed ethnicity from “white” to “Native American,” according to Vox.

While teaching at Harvard Law School, Warren was featured by Harvard University as proof of expanding faculty diversity. The Crimson, the student newspaper at Harvard, even referred to Warren as “the first woman with a minority background to be tenured,” the Boston Herald reported in 2012.

On Fox, Porreco said she felt “betrayed” by Warren’s claims, and said others in the Native American community “feel disappointed.”

In a rare move, the Cherokee Nation released a statement on Warren’s DNA test and labeled Warren’s use of the test to claim Cherokee heritage as “inappropriate and wrong.”

“A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship,” Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. said in a statement. “Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America.”

Hoskin continued:

Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation. Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven. Sen. Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage.

BREAKING NEW VIDEOS: McCaskill EXPOSED — “Essentially” lies to get elected

Missouri: Project Veritas Action Fund has released a fourth undercover video from campaigns during this 2018 election season. This is the second report featuring staff at incumbent Senator Claire McCaskill campaign on video.

Yesterday’s video featured Claire McCaskill — herself — saying “Of course!” she would vote yes on gun bans. The video was played on Sean Hannity’s television show and made the top of the Drudge Report. Today, it was covered by Ben Shapiro and Rush Limbaugh, among others.

Michelle Malkin commented on yesterday’s video: “Project Veritas gets results

Missouri Senator Roy Blunt spoke about the video; as well as Senate Candidate Josh Hawley who commented about it on local 1380AM radio.

Claire herself responded today on local News Channel KOLR10:

TODAY’S VIDEO exposes how McCaskill’s campaign hides donations from Planned Parenthood in order to deceive voters.

  • Staffer Agrees: McCaskill “essentially” has to lie to get elected.
  • Campaign Staff: Planned Parenthood doesn’t directly “donate to Claire because they don’t want to ostracize pro-life Democrats in Missouri”
  • McCaskill Staff Confirms Planned Parenthood Still Contributes: “They put it through different organizations.”
  • Senator McCaskill Will Support Abortion “100%” and is “very pro-choice”, but doesn’t want to appear “…too far left to get the moderate voters.”

  • Senator McCaskill on Tape: “Of course!” She Would Vote Yes on Gun Bans.
  • Campaign Staff Says: McCaskill supports “a semi-automatic rifle ban.”
  • McCaskill is Quiet on Gun Views “because she has a bunch of Republican voters,” Secretly Supports Gun Control Group.
  • Campaign Staff: Wait Until After Election to Bring up Trump Impeachment; to Voters: “Get over it.”
  • “People just can’t know” McCaskill and Obama “essentially have the same views on everything.”

A Rape Survivor Just Won the Nobel Peace Prize. ‘Feminists’ Are Nowhere to Be Found.

As feminists were busy peddling their “War on Women” narrative in the U.S., Yazidi sex slave survivor Nadia Murad was honored with the Nobel Peace Prize for fighting a real War on Women in the Middle East.

Nadia was honored for her efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war, together with Dr. Denis Mukwege of the Democratic Republic of Congo, who has been a relentless healer and advocate for women.

Their stories serve as an important reminder that as American women debate what constitutes enough evidence to block a nominee from taking a seat on the Supreme Court, corroboration and evidence are abundant in places such as northern Iraq, where hundreds of women and girls are still enslaved and routinely subjected to rape.

Nadia was abducted in northern Iraq in August 2014, when ISIS took over her village. Militants gave the Yazidi people—a Kurdish and Arabic-speaking religious minority—two choices: Convert to Islam or die. Refusing to give in, Nadia watched men get massacred and family members march to their graves.

At just 21 years old, she was kidnapped alongside an estimated 3,000 other Yazidi women and girls, traded as sex slaves from one ISIS fighter to another. She was forced to pray, dress up, and apply makeup in preparation for her rape, which was often committed by gangs.

While any comparison between Nadia’s story and the accusations leveled against newly minted Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh would be completely unfair, it is fair to wonder how news of uncorroborated allegations of gang rape brought by porn lawyer Michael Avenatti can overshadow a gang rape survivor-turned-women’s advocate being honored with the most prestigious award in the world.

For years, it seemed the world didn’t care about Nadia’s story and the thousands of others like it. It took two years for then-Secretary of State John Kerry to declare crimes against Yazidis, Christians, and Shiite Muslims genocide, and the United Nations as well.

Thousands of Yazidis remain missing, including at least 1,300 women and children, and the question of how to hold ISIS accountable for its unspeakable crimes remains unanswered.

Nadia is a lonely voice in the fight against ISIS genocide. After making the genocide designation, the Obama administration did little to hold ISIS accountable for its crimes or to alleviate the suffering of survivors. The Trump administration is trying to right those wrongs by providing aid to the most vulnerable victims of ISIS genocide, but a lot of work remains to be done.

“The world should bear its moral and legal responsibility and ensure its proper and fair accountability,” Nadia said as she accepted her Nobel Peace Prize. “The sexual violence and conflicts in our towns and cities must be stopped.”

It’s strange how women who self-identify as feminists get so worked up over unsubstantiated allegations of sexual assault, yet so callously overlook human rights injustices staring them in the face.

Imagine the difference these “feminists” could make if, in addition to banging on the doors of the U.S. Supreme Court, they also took a few minutes to bang at the doors of the United Nations.

In the #MeToo era, feminists are rightly concerned about women being heard. It appears that Nadia’s with them, too.

“My hope is that all women who speak about their stories of sexual violence are heard and accepted, that their voices are heard so they feel safe,” she said.

But Nadia’s story is falling on deaf ears. Because being “heard” requires others to listen.

Listening to a Nobel Peace Prize winner whose mission is to bring back life after being destroyed by sexual violence and war is the least feminists can do as the freest and most liberated women in the world.

Sure, it’s easy to get caught up in the moment. There’s certainly no shortage of issues to debate. But it’s our job as feminists to look beyond ourselves and realize that Nadia’s fight is our fight, no matter what’s happening here in the U.S.
