Yes, There’s a Genocide Being Waged in Gaza!

Whether it’s on college campuses across America or on the streets of cities throughout the world or out of the mouths of major world leaders or the peace-loving anti-Semites at that cesspool on 1st Avenue in NY City––the United Nations–– or the Nobel Committee that just awarded the Peace Prize  to a longtime anti-Semitic judge who called Israel’s response to being savagely attacked a “genocide” of its opponents, or many of the Democrat elected leaders in the United States, the “Israel is committing genocide” meme––and canard––is all the rage, as ubiquitous as the now-disproven “Israel is an apartheid state” and “Israel is starving the Palestinians,” with proof of the significantly obese Arabs, as reported by no less an authoritative source than The Lancet… and by simply looking at the bloated Arab potentates who insist on calling themselves Palestinians.

But the genocide accusation is accurate! It’s only that the accusers are so accustomed to projecting their own malevolent thoughts and actions onto their enemies that at this point they cannot tell the difference between truth and fiction––an inability they share with the craven members of the worldwide media, paid (or paid off?) by their globalist bosses who also find a Democratic Republic like America and a Parliamentary Democracy like Israel a mortal threat to their grand ambitions of destroying Western civilization and replacing it with their own megalomaniacal mission of globalist control.

In truth, the genocide that is being waged in the Middle East is from the Arabs…from Iran’s orchestration of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and all the other Arab “victims” of the only state in the entire region––Israel–– in which millions of Arabs live peaceably, thrive, hold positions of power (in the Knesset, on the Supreme Court, fighting for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) et al.

WHAT IS PROJECTION?

At Spiked, Brendan O’Neill writes: “Tell me what you accuse the Jews of [and] I’ll tell you what you are guilty of’, said the great Soviet writer, Vasily Grossman.”

He was speaking about the psychological defense mechanism called projection.

Originally conceptualized by Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, projection compels a person (or an entire group of people) to attribute his or her own individual thoughts, attitudes, biases, weaknesses, character flaws and actions to another person or group.

The absolute perfect example is the Arabs from the terrorist group Hamas––and, in fact, all the enemies of Israel––accusing the Jewish state of committing genocide when, in fact, the mission of this terrorist group is the elimination of all Jews on earth and the obliteration of the only Jewish State on planet earth.

Think about it. When the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians first arrived in Gaza, they numbered approximately one million. Today, they number five million. Which means––objectively and factually and irrefutably––that Israel is an abject failure at committing genocide!

So, what are we really looking at here?

WHEN JEWS FIGHT BACK

After the brutal assault by Hamas on October 7, 2023, there was an immediate worldwide reaction not against the psychopaths who:

  • Murdered 1,200 Israelis in cold blood––the equivalent vis-à-vis population of 40,000 Americans,
  • Wrested infants from their mothers’ arms and put them in ovens to bake to death,
  • Raped women so savagely that they shattered their pelvic bones,
  • Lit fires so deadly that they incinerated entire families in their homes,
  • Captured 240 hostages and incarcerated them in their underground torture-the-Jews tunnels for over two years, on and on and on….

But against Israel!

Who can forget the recorded voice of the deliriously thrilled terrorist who bragged to his mother over the phone: “Mom, I killed 10 Jews!” Or the mothers of these mass murderers who were videotaped gleefully passing out candies at the news of Jewish deaths.

Why was there such a bizarre reaction to this mass murder?

Because clearly, the world doesn’t like when Israel fights back, when Jews fight back. And they particularly hate it when Jews prevail…ultimately:

  • Rendering Hamas and Hezbollah and the Houthis essentially on the ropes if not impotent, although to this day these terrorist groups continue their last-ditch efforts to kill more Jews,
  • Eliminating just about all of their leaders,
  • Crippling their nuclear program––with the immense help of the U.S. military, thanks to President Trump,
  • And both mortifying and terrifying them with the quite spectacular pager attack that left amazingly few mortalities but permanent paranoia in the ranks of the terrorists.

WHAT MOTIVATES SUCH HATRED?

Let’s remember that Islam was established a full seven centuries after Judaism. Initially, the founder of Islam, Mohammed, had great admiration for the Jews and incorporated many of Judaism’s beliefs and rituals into Islam. But when he changed his mind, Jews became the mortal enemy.

In that regard, Dr. Uri Rosset spells out in comprehensive detail the warped mentality that led to the savage attack of October 7, 2023. Among other motivating reasons, he cites the dictates of the Hamas Charter, based on the teachings of Islam.

“The Charter,” he says, “also quotes the stone-and-tree hadith concerning Jews: “The hour [Judgment Day] will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and the Muslims kill them, and until the Jew hides behind the stones and trees, and the stones and trees will say: ‘O Muslim, O servant of Allah, there is a Jew hiding [behind me], come and kill him.”

Dr. Rosset continues: “A Hamas battle order for the massacre at Kibbutz Alumim included instructions to murder as many people as possible, take hostages and establish positions inside the buildings. Everyone found in the buildings was to be systematically murdered, and if control could not be taken of the buildings, they were to be burned with their occupants inside. It clarified that the stated objective was ‘kill, kill, kill,’ and that civilians were to be used as human shields until reinforcements of additional Hamas fighters arrived (Israeli TV channel Kan, October 14, 2025).”

And Israel is accused of genocide!

REFUTING THE LIE

Just the other day, 78 former US military leaders released a public statement condemning the dishonest accusation of genocide in Gaza.

And here, Dr. Michael Brown annihilates the accusation. “I write these words,” he says,
“from Poland, where 90 percent of Poland’s Jews—3 million out of 3.3 million—were slaughtered during World War II. That is what genocide looks like. In stark contrast, roughly 70,000 of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents were killed during Israel’s war with Hamas, amounting to approximately 3 percent of the population. And that figure includes enemy combatants. Yet the same word, genocide, used for the systematic, intentional murder of 90 percent of Poland’s Jews—and two-thirds of Europe’s Jews as a whole—is being used to describe Israel’s war with Hamas. How can this be? And where is the moral equivalence?”

In addition, Barry Shaw, the Senior Associate for Public Diplomacy at the Israel Institute for Strategic Studies and the author of the daily “The View from Israel,” explains that the scurrilous accusations against Jews “goes back hundreds if not thousands of years. In our own lifetimes, we have the so-called ‘paper of record’ [The New York Times] ––founded and still run by Jews––with the ignominious obsession of waging an 80-year crusade against Israel!”

Shaw goes on to list in exquisite detail the incidents of savage violence committed by so-called Palestinians against Jews only in the past 11 years (2015-2026).

THE SHEER HYPOCRISY OF THIS ACCUSATION

Here, the esteemed military historian, Victor Davis Hanson, spells out the genesis of this absurd accusation.

“On October 7, 2023, Hamas killers slaughtered 1,200 people, more than two-thirds of them civilians, inside Israel…. within a day of the attacks, when Hamas gunmen were still fighting Israeli troops on Israeli soil, the American Left was already screaming “genocide!”

Professor Hanson then goes on to detail the massive hypocrisy of Israel’s accusers, effectively destroying their arguments and their claim to the moral high ground.

“In short,” Hanson concludes, “we should remind these privileged ingrates [who he names] to look inward before they blast their adopted country [America] and not to project the sins of their own homelands upon either Israel or America.”

And now we learn that Qatar––the sponsor and funder of the violent terror groups against Israel–– sent over $100 million in aid to Gaza during the war, including 30 million liters of fuel, food supplies, temporary shelters and infrastructure projects. Talk about the compelling lust to kill Jews!

BEEN THERE…

Going back literally thousands of years, Jews are accustomed to maliciously false charges, to brazen lies, and to uncountable attempts to destroy not only their ancestral homeland but the entire people themselves. To us, this is nothing new.

But why are our enemies so stupid? They remind me of the mal-educated American high school and college students who believe that even though both Socialism and Communism have failed thunderously in every country they’ve afflicted, they––these 21st century students––will do it better!

Same thing with today’s Jew- and Israel-haters who think that they are smarter and therefore will be more successful in eliminating Jews and their ancient homeland Israel from the earth than those who conducted the Crusades, the Inquisition, the expulsion of Jews from Spain, the Holocaust, and always, the diaspora. And now, October 7, 2023.

Let’s look at the huge empires, with their vast populations and immense military might, that have tried––and again, thunderously failed to succeed in destroying the Jews…all of them non-existent today. This is the short list:

  • Assyrian Empire
  • Babylonian Empire
  • Persian Empire
  • Roman Empire
  • Byzantine Empire
  • Holy Roman Empire
  • Spanish Empire
  • Portuguese Empire
  • Ottoman Empire
  • French (Napoleonic) Empire
  • Austro-Hungarian Empire
  • Nazi Third Reich

How to explain the astounding record of the Jews not only surviving but of their phenomenally disproportionate contributions to mankind in medicine, science, agriculture, the arts, technology, industry, actually in every field of endeavor.

My own take is that when you peel back every layer of the onion of anti-Semitism, the root cause is that the anti-Semites among us are obsessively jealous. How can it be, they wonder, that this tiny people––dispersed in a diaspora for the last 4,000 years to far-flung communities all over the world where they landed with no language skills, no money, no resources, no nothing, and in the process survived the Jew-targeting mentioned above, yet managed to flourish and rise to prominence wherever they went?

As to the subject at hand, the brazen lie that Israelis have committed genocide, let’s never forget that if Hamas had not attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, the number of casualties in Gaza would be zero!

Harris Lets Slip What the Dems Will Do If They Win Congress, and Yes, It’s Scary

American elections are not, in any genuine sense, contests between two American political parties. They used to be, but not anymore. Instead, today they are contests between an American party and a radically anti-American, authoritarian, socialist monstrosity that has taken over one party and uses its name to push an agenda that, if implemented, will mean the end of the United States as a free society.

The radically anti-American, authoritarian socialists are not a fringe element that by some quirk has a chance to seize control of all or part of the Democrat Party. On the contrary, these authoritarians are the party’s vanguard, its most energized and determined element, and some of its most important leaders.

Kamala Harris, for example.

Kamala Harris is as much of an establishment Democrat as Chuck Schumer or Hakeem Jeffries. A former senator from California and vice president of the United States, she was the party’s candidate for president in 2024 and currently its frontrunner for 2028, although historically, the prospects of candidates who led in the polls this early have not been good.

Harris appears to know, however, that she can improve her prospects in today’s Democrat Party by positioning herself as far to the left as possible. And so Fox News reported Wednesday that Harris has reiterated her support for some core elements of the left’s to-do list. If the Democrats actually regain control of the House and Senate next month and succeed in pushing these measures through, it will be the end of America’s 250 years as a free society.

This is no exaggeration. Harris said: “The work that we can do about winning back the House and the Senate is going to be on a number of things. For example, I believe that we need to expand the Supreme Court. We need more justices on the Supreme Court so that we can have a court that actually reinforces the spirit and principles behind the Constitution of the United States.”

That’s exactly what a packed Supreme Court would not do. Instead, it would allow the left to impose its agenda on patriots, who would have no recourse. The Supreme Court has more than once saved Americans from the more sinister elements of the left’s agenda, but it would do so no more. The freedom of speech would be gone, under the guise of fighting “disinformation.” The borders would be open to all and sundry, all expenses paid by the weary American taxpayer, until the cash cow is bled dry and the whole thing collapses.

And patriots would never be able to vote the rascals out. Harris continued: “I believe that we should be pushing for what is possible around changing the Electoral College. Right? It’s about, the popular vote has to matter, right? You know, all the things that make people feel, like, overwhelmed, and does their vote matter? We have, you know, listen, if the folks there want it, we should be pushing for statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C., right? These are some of the things that are structural that we need to do, but we need to reestablish affordable child care.”

The Electoral College has receded a bit as an issue for the left since Harris lost both it and the popular vote to Trump in 2024, but Harris has her eye on long-term gains: the abolition of the Electoral College would essentially entrust Los Angeles and New York City with the responsibility of choosing the president. This would, of course, ensure that Democrats remained in power indefinitely, or at least until the collapse that their policies would bring about.

Y. David Scharf, chairman of Morrison Cohen LLP and head of its government strategies & controversies practice, told Fox News Digital how high the stakes are: “Kamala Harris says she wants to defend democracy, but her solution is to rewrite its rules when Democrats don’t like the results. That’s a dangerous precedent. Nine justices have been the number since 1869. FDR tried to pack the Supreme Court, and even his own party pushed back. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg herself warned that expanding the court would make it look partisan.”

That’s what it would be: a partisan instrument. At least until there is only one party operating, and then the point will be moot.

Scharf added: “The Electoral College is written into the Constitution. Eliminating it requires a constitutional amendment, not a Democratic majority in Congress. You don’t get to change the referee because you don’t like the calls. Harris may think this is a winning message for the Democratic base, but it’s a much tougher sell to the independent and swing voters her party needs.”

It is indeed a winning message for the Democrat base. And that should alarm every thinking and patriotic American.

Public Safety Should Be the Sleeper Issue of the Midterms

Some people might question the wisdom of putting Donald Trump on the campaign trail with his dubious approval ratings, but it’s proving to be one of the smartest moves Republicans have made. The president may not be on the ballot, but his ability to accomplish his agenda over the next two years is — and putting Trump in front of voters helps remind America of that. It’s also a rare chance to cut through the media’s criticism and highlight where the administration has delivered — i.e. the progress we stand to lose if Democrats retake control. And the crackdown on crime should be at the top of the list.

After all those months of hysteria over the National Guard’s deployment to out-of-control cities, Americans have taken it for granted that public safety has undergone a shocking revival. Sure, there are still dangerous hot spots — largely in blue states where leftists refuse to accept help or implement any meaningful reforms — but it shouldn’t be lost on voters that we’re experiencing the lowest violent crime rate in 100 years.

And yet, as The Washington Times points out, the president never seems to get any credit for this. If anything, Jeff Mordock laments, he’s “a victim of his own success when it comes to crime. In fact, the administration’s efforts have been so successful that the topic has “fade[d] from the national conversation,” replaced by complaints about affordability and the Iran war. It’s unfair when you consider the miraculous turnaround our nation is experiencing on what were once sky-high rates of murder, human trafficking, robberies, carjackings, rapes, and more.

According to the FBI, these past 20 months of Trump have yielded incredible gains compared to Joe Biden’s last year in office.

  • “The homicide rate has dropped roughly 16%, to 4.1 per 100,000 people from 4.9 per 100,000.
  • “Violent crime arrests are up 90% to 53,969, compared with 28,405.
  • “Law enforcement officers seized 7,183 pounds of fentanyl, an 8% increase from 6,651 pounds.
  • “They located and identified 11,081 child victims, a 21% increase.
  • “Lawmen arrested 5,072 child predators and human traffickers, a 13% increase.
  • “They arrested 4,260 members of foreign terrorist organizations, a 38% increase.
  • “They stopped 1,038 people from carrying out a terrorist attack.
  • “All 10 people on the FBI’s Most Wanted list on the day Mr. Trump took office were captured.”

Now, what was once a front-burner issue for Americans has fallen somewhat off the radar. Even at the end of last year, Gallup found that 49% of people consider crime “an extremely or very serious problem,” down a whopping 14 points from two years ago (63%). That shift has almost certainly been credited to Republicans, who voters rightly trust much more with crime policy (43%) than Democrats (29%).

And yet, in this major clash of ideologies we call the midterm elections, the headlines would have us believe that Americans are ready to trade in the GOP majority for a Democratic Party that wants to abolish prisons, defund the police, and reopen the border so that criminals can stream back across unchecked. What madness.

Unlike other voter concerns, public safety touches everyone — but it should hold an especially significant place in the priorities of urban families, where crime is more prevalent. For years, they’ve paid the price for the indifferent attitudes of Democratic mayors and governors who let their cities burn as some sort of misguided protest to Trump. And as much as people may have disliked the optics of sending in the National Guard and law enforcement to clean up our communities, Politico points out, “history shows they dislike feeling unsafe even more. Expanding homeless encampments and drug overdoses in plain view have left many of them fearful.”

Last year, at the height of his Make America Safer Again push, CNN’s Harry Enten combed through the polling on crime “and declared that Trump is ‘like Air Jordan towering over [former President] Joe Biden’ on crime issues. While Biden was underwater on crime by 26 points in 2024, Trump had a plus-one favorability on the matter in August, just before his National Guard moves. ‘Americans are far more hawkish on crime than a lot of Democrats want to admit,’” Enten warned.

Jeff Werniak, deputy police chief in Posen, Illinois, told the Times that the Trump administration didn’t just stop at “street policing.” He’s leveraging the full force of the federal government to take on everything from the cartels and human traffickers to violent gangs and Islamist terrorists. “They’re actually going the extra mile to find [criminals],” he emphasized. “These guys are in hunting mode, and they’re in a preventive mode. They’re going and looking for crime. I would say maybe 99% of the crime reduction is because of the Trump administration.”

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who insists the polling predicting a Democratic blowout “is wrong,” maintains that this is one area where Republicans have a serious edge. As he travels to dozens of states, meeting with locals, he underscored that people don’t want Democratic Socialists reversing all of the gains Trump and the GOP have made to make their neighborhoods more secure. “They like what they’re seeing,” he told Family Research Council President Tony Perkins on “This Week on Capitol Hill.” “They like safer streets. They like the fact that we have the lowest violent crime rate in 126 years. It makes their children and grandchildren safer, and they’re going to vote accordingly,”

NYC Comptroller breaks campaign promise to Jewish voters to buy Israel Bonds, drawing praise from Mamdani

New York City Comptroller Mark Levine’s decision not to resume the city’s investments in Israel Bonds, breaking a campaign promise he made to Jewish voters last year, drew mixed reactions Wednesday from supporters of Israel and advocates for the Palestinian cause. It also marked another symbolic shift in the city’s relationship with Israel under Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

The decision, first reported by The New York Times, is a significant reversal for Levine, the city’s highest-ranking Jewish elected official, who repeatedly promised last year to restore the investments after his predecessor ended a nearly 50-year practice of buying Israeli government debt.

The city’s pension funds previously held $39 million in Israel Bonds, which returned roughly 5%. Former Comptroller Brad Lander, who is also Jewish, decided not to purchase new bonds when the holdings matured in 2023, citing the city’s policy against investing in foreign government debt.

In an interview with the Times, Levine cited financial concerns and technical challenges, including those related to the war in Gaza and Israel’s political instability, in explaining why Israel Bonds are “not an investment that we can make right now.”

He insisted the decision was not driven by political pressure or a shift in his personal support for Israel, and left open the possibility of purchasing Israel Bonds in the future. The pension funds still hold $285 million in Israel-related assets, including common stocks and more than $1 million in Israeli real estate investment trusts.

The move was nonetheless a political victory for Mamdani, a longtime supporter of boycotts of Israel, who opposed the bond purchases and has sought to reshape New York City’s relationship with Israel, politically, emotionally and economically.

“I welcome the comptroller’s decision,” Mamdani told the Forward on Wednesday. “It is something that I’ve said in the past … I don’t believe that our city should purchase Israel bonds. We don’t purchase the bonds of any other sovereign nation. I don’t think that we should make an exception when it comes to Israel.” The mayor can neither prevent the investment nor overrule it.

Lander, now a congressional candidate, also voiced his approval via text message. “The pension funds are not invested in the bonds of other foreign countries,” Lander said, “and previous comptrollers’ decisions to buy Israel bonds nonetheless were a political move, not a fiduciary one.”

Why Levine changed his mind

For Jewish voters who supported Levine’s campaign, the reversal raises questions about a promise he made while seeking the office of the city’s chief financial officer.

“This has been a rock-solid investment for decades,” he said during the campaign. “Israel has never missed a bond payment, and a good, balanced portfolio should have global diversity.”

When Mamdani suggested Lander’s move should become permanent, Levine pushed back. “Israel bonds have never missed a payment in 70 years, ever, not once,” he said in April. “They pay excellent interest.”

He also called out critics who had been protesting outside his office. “We have had no protesting about our investments in Saudi Arabia, our investments in Pakistan or China, only this one little, tiny sliver,” Levine said.

Court documents and subsequent reporting state that prosecutors determined Abdelshahed had placed bags over each child’s head and pumped helium into the bags through a hose, depriving them of oxygen. The prosecution described the killings as intentional, carefully planned, and particularly ruthless. Investigators recovered items from the home consistent with this method, including bags, tape, and gas-related equipment.

SWEDEN: Trans-Identifying Egyptian Migrant Who Murdered His Children Accused of Sexually Harassing Female Inmates in Women’s Prison

A father who murdered his two young children and was transferred to a women’s prison after beginning to identify as transgender has been accused of sexually harassing female inmates while authorities look the other way. Paulus Said Foukaih Abdelshahed, an Egyptian national, was transferred to a women’s prison after changing his name to “Lily,” where he is serving a life sentence for the killings.

On April 23, 2024, police and ambulances services were dispatched to Abdelshahed’s residence in response to a call that he had made. Abdelshahed told emergency services that his two children — a boy and a girl, both under the age of 10 — were not breathing, according to a criminal indictment lodged in November that year.

When officers arrived at the residence, they found both children dead. Court documents and subsequent reporting state that prosecutors determined Abdelshahed had placed bags over each child’s head and pumped helium into the bags through a hose, depriving them of oxygen. The prosecution described the killings as intentional, carefully planned, and particularly ruthless. Investigators recovered items from the home consistent with this method, including bags, tape, and gas-related equipment.

Before the murders, for example, Paul Abdelshahed had Googled “killed his own children,” “die together” and searched for “the most gentle way to kill someone.”

Abdelshahed admitted to killing the children during the investigation, and admission prosecutors cited alongside forensic findings and other physical evidence. A psychological examination ultimately concluded that Abdelshahed did not suffer from a serious mental disorder of the kind that would justify sentencing him to compulsory psychiatric care rather than prison.

In December 2024, the Södertälje District Court convicted him on both counts and sentenced him to life imprisonment and deportation in the event he was ever released. Abdelshahed quickly appealed the verdict, arguing that the court should have imposed psychiatric care rather than a life sentence. However, his appeal was quashed by the Svea Court of Appeal in February 2025.

Yet during this process, Abdelshahed had applied to change his sex marker on official identification documents, and legally changed his name to “Lily”. As a result, it was discovered he had been transferred from Tidaholm men’s prison into a women’s prison in Ystad (Ystadsanstalten) some time near the end of 2025.

Abdelshahed began crossdressing publicly in 2023, when he would go to his job at Scania in Södertälje dressed up as “Lily”. On some occasions, he would also wear a wig and women’s clothes when picking up his children from school.

During police questioning that followed his initial arrest, Abdelshahed appeared to blame his “gender dysphoria” for the murders of his two children. “I was born in the wrong body… If I were born Lily, I would be happy and still have my children… [and] live my life as it is,” he told authorities.

New reports tell of how Abdelshahed has been accused of continuous sexual harassment by multiple female inmates at the women’s prison where he is being held. Correctional officers employed at Ystad and six inmates came forward to tell Expressen of the ongoing “inappropriate behavior”, which includes Abdelshahed exposing himself to the women there.

According to the report, Abdelshahed walks around the facility while wearing a short night gown without underwear, with his penis exposed. “[He doesn’t] wear underwear, like the rest of us do. When I and others have told the staff, we are told that we are LGBTQI-hostile,” said a woman who was recently incarcerated at Ystad.

One woman who suffers from PTSD after surviving a sexual assault has had a panic attack after seeing Abdelshahed leave his room wearing nothing but a short night gown. Despite this, she was the one reprimanded by staff for inappropriate behavior, not Abdelshahed.

Another inmate explained that Abdelshahed repeatedly slaps her on the rear. “He has told me that he likes women, which makes me even more uncomfortable,” she said.

Still another inmate says that he has tried to enter the shower room — an area which can’t be locked — while other female inmates were showering on several occasions. She described the situation as a “horror scenario”, and said that he has walked in on her as she did her laundry there just to expose his penis to her: “The shower room also serves as a laundry room and Lily deliberately goes there when I’m washing, just to show [himself] naked,” the woman said.

Unindicted Terror Co-Conspirator Group ‘Stands in Solidarity’ With Ilhan Omar

After decades of wildly flouting every kind of law and regulation, the law may finally be coming down on Rep. Ilhan Omar. And the Somali Islamist’s core base is standing with her. By that I mean the mainstream media and unindicted terror funding co-conspirators.

The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an unindicted terror funding co-conspirator hate group, issued a statement from National Executive Director Nihad Awad, who had celebrated the Oct 7 attack, “We stand in solidarity with Rep. Ilhan Omar.”

“President Trump has spent years obsessively smearing Rep. Omar and demanding that law enforcement target her. So have other anti-Muslim extremists,” Awad, who had expressed support for Hamas and for the World Trade Center bombers, objected. “We call on all political leaders to condemn this targeting of Rep. Omar, as well as the broader systematic targeting of Somali Americans in Minnesota.”

This appears to be a reference to the Somali systemic fraudsters who had looted the state of billions of dollars.

CAIR Minnesota has announced a “solidarity rally” with Rep. Omar. But I’m not sure that having terrorist-adjacent groups rally to her is that helpful for the beleaguered congresswoman.

Catholic Bishop Rallies Voters to ‘Confront the Evil’ at Ballot Box

Bishop Michael Burbidge met with Catholic priests throughout the Diocese of Arlington last Thursday to reinforce the importance of defeating two constitutional amendments on the Virginia ballot.

The proposed amendments have prompted an unprecedented effort by Burbidge to raise awareness among Virginia Catholics. Question 1 would expand abortion access throughout pregnancy while undermining parental consent for minors. Question 2 would redefine marriage and enshrine transgender ideology in the state constitution.

“These are tough and challenging days, and these are very unsettling questions we’re voting on,” Burbidge said on the latest episode of his “Walk Humbly” podcast. “But we have the truth, and we have prayer, we have fasting.”

Catholics Called to Prayer and Fasting

Burbidge has asked Catholics to spend October fasting and praying for the defeat of the two proposed amendments. On Fridays, he asked Catholics to pray the Stations of the Cross and to fast, eating only one full meal and no meat. On Sundays, he asked Catholics to pray the Rosary and fast from social media for at least a few hours, ideally before and after Mass.

On his podcast, Burbidge recalled advice he received as a young seminarian from a priest who encouraged him to pray the Stations of the Cross every Friday.

“Every Friday is a Good Friday, a day that we should step back and remember that the Lord took up his cross, that he suffered and he died for us, and to be united with him in fasting, if that’s possible, but certainly in prayer,” Burbidge said.

An Unprecedented Campaign

Information about the diocese’s Catholics Vote No campaign is present in churches across Northern Virginia. More than 433,000 Catholics live in the Diocese of Arlington, which includes 70 parishes and spans 21 counties.

The campaign represents an unusually intervention by Burbidge in an election. In September, he took the unprecedented step of asking priests throughout the diocese to read a letter at Mass urging Catholics to oppose the amendments. Burbidge previously said it was the first time in his decade as bishop that he had made such a request.

Early voting in Virginia opened Sept. 18. Election Day is Nov. 3.

Burbidge praised priests for embracing the campaign and said Catholics he has encountered while traveling throughout the diocese have responded to his call to action.

“I want to just thank all of our priests who are leading this initiative with such faithfulness, such passion, such dedication,” Burbidge said. “I’m so grateful to the faithful who are telling me they’re embracing this cause to vote, to get others to vote, to pray and to fast.”

‘We Did Everything We Possibly Could’

The bishop said he delivered a similar message when he gathered with priests last Thursday, telling them their responsibility was to make every possible effort regardless of the eventual outcome on Election Day.

“If we’re able to say that throughout this initiative, this campaign, we gave the Lord our very best, we did everything we possibly could to defeat these amendments, then the Lord will be pleased that we gave him our best,” Burbidge said.

“The truth never changes,” he added. “And prayer and fasting are always weapons, armor that we have to confront the evil in our world.”

A ‘Generational Vote’

Burbidge’s latest remarks come a week after Catholics gathered at the Basilica of St. Mary in Alexandria, Virginia, to hear from church leaders about the potential consequences of the two amendments.

“This is a generational vote because of the two amendments that are in front of voters,” said Amy McInerny, director of the diocese’s Respect Life Office. “We do have a moment here where we can rise up and proclaim the gospel of life with our vote.”

At the Alexandria forum, church leaders argued that the amendments could have consequences beyond abortion and marriage, raising concerns involving parental rights, conscience protections, religious institutions, and Virginia’s longstanding tradition of religious freedom.

With less than three weeks remaining before Election Day, Burbidge is urging Catholics to pair political participation with prayer and sacrifice.

“We have the truth, and we have prayer, we have fasting,” Burbidge said. “They’re powerful forces, and we have the grace of God who continues to work miracles.”

Trump Hate Fuels Left’s Shift to Socialism and Jihad, GOP Senate Candidate Says

The Democrats’ hatred for President Donald Trump has led them to embrace Islamic terrorism and socialism in an effort to defeat Republicans this November, the Republican nominee for New Jersey’s Senate seat told the Daily Signal.

“Their [Democrats] hate for Donald Trump is the only thing that is informing their decision making,” Justin Murphy told the Daily Signal. “Their hate for Donald Trump is more important to them than their love of this country, if they even have it.”

“It’s more important for them to make sure they do not … appear to their base that they’re working with President Trump, because that’s absolutely forbidden,” he continued.

Murphy said that hatred of the president is “keeping them isolated from the American people” and is “the only thing they are campaigning on.”

The candidate’s remarks come after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called his party a “big tent” that welcomes all voters.

Additionally, at least five members of the Democratic Socialists of America, a progressive organization that aims to dissolve constitutionally designated institutions such as the Senate, could be sworn into Congress in January.

“The Democrat Party today is no longer the party of FDR—the World War II, Depression-era Democrat. They’re no longer the party of JFK. It’s now the party of the DSA, and they’re no longer the party of the kind of little guy, the blue-collar worker, the northeastern Catholic voter,” Murphy added.

Murphy, using the example of the Republican Party’s rejection of David Duke, a former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard who tried to run for president as a Republican in the 1990s, contrasted his party’s handling of radical antisemites and extremists to that of the Democrats.

“We zipped up our tent, shut the door, threw him out of the party, and told him you get no name from the Republican Party and get no recognition. He was not allowed to run in our primaries, and we tossed him out of the party,” he said.

Murphy argued that if the Democratic Party was the party of “tolerance and civility” as is sometimes claimed, Democrat leaders would “do the same” toward their radical members.

Murphy’s opponent, Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., has not yet condemned his party’s radical candidates.

Booker did not respond to the Daily Signal’s request for comment.

NEVER FORGET — Ft. Hood

On November 5, 2009 about 1:30 p.m. local time, Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan entered a building at Ft. Hood, shouted “Allahu Akbar” and opened fire with a laser-sighted weapon. He fanned his weapon, spraying bullets, before taking aim at individual soldiers. Two people charged him but were killed; a third was injured. Hasan moved outside the building where he shot down a police officer and targeted fleeing soldiers. Another police officer stopped Hasan with five shots as Hasan was reaching for a new clip.  Hasan killed 13 and wounded more than 30 in his 10-minute shooting rampage. Seven victims were shot in the back.  There was so much blood on the floor in the building that nurses had trouble reaching the wounded.  The Obama administration called it an act of ‘workplace violence’ but, at his trial, Hasan told the court he was defending the Taliban against the U.S. military.  Army personnel who worked with Hasan knew he was a “ticking time bomb”. He had given presentations supporting the killing of non-Muslims, defending Osama Bin Laden, and justifying suicide bombers.  He announced that Islam took precedence over the U.S. Constitution (which he had sworn to defend).  He stated on multiple occasions that Muslims in the military could kill other service members.

Foiled Islamic State-inspired mass attack plans called for poisoning food with ricin or cyanide in grocery stores and synagogues.  Would-be attacker also planned a mass shooting — arrested with a semiautomatic rifle and plenty of ammo.

Resident sues Dearborn and Mayor for discriminating against Christians and Jews.  The resident is Margot Cleveland who writes for The Federalist.  “The lawsuit alleges that City officials spent public funds and used City property to promote and celebrate the Islamic holy month of Ramadan while refusing Cleveland’s repeated requests that the City extend the same recognition to Christian and Jewish holidays — and that Mayor Hammoud and other City officials retaliated against Cleveland for speaking out about the disparity.”

U.S. POLITICS
