Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein believes that accusations of sexual harassment on his part are part of a “Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy” to bring down the big donor to Democratic causes, according to the DailyMail.com.
The Extreme Right-WingNew York Times is reporting that the founder of the Miramax film company has been accused of reaching at least eight settlements with women for sexually harassing behavior going back three decades.
He is said, for example, to have paid actress Rose McGowan $100,000 in a settlement for an incident shortly before her breakthrough role in the horror movie Scream, and to have asked hysterical feminist activist/actress Ashley Judd to watch him shower. Judd said she was invited up to Weinstein’s room 20 years ago where he appeared in a bathrobe and asked if he could massage her or watch him shower.
Judd remembered thinking, “How do I get out of the room as fast as possible without alienating Harvey Weinstein?”
She soon got another invitation and was asked to give him a shoulder rub, according to the Daily Mail, or to watch him shower.

For over 240 years, our elected representatives to the federal government have begun their public duties with prayer. When a session of the House of Representatives is opened, a prayer seeking God’s guidance is offered. Among other things, this is a reflection of the faith of many people across America who themselves seek His guidance in their lives.Nevertheless, there are always those who just can’t stand the idea of Americans, especially leaders, acknowledging their dependence upon God.
The Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF) perpetuates its existence by trying to stamp out the very recognition of God’s existence from across our land, much as — quite sadly — communist governments tried to wipe out the church from public life during the last century.
The FFRF has challenged public monuments, prayer, and virtually any public recognition of religion. Like most on the Left, FFRF engages in bullying tactics threatening to haul the “offenders” into court for their “unconstitutional” activities. Unfortunately, too many school districts and city and town councils hand over their milk money to the bullies and capitulate.
When FFRF actually does sue, a very high percentage of their cases are simply dismissed. However, they occasionally find a sympathetic ear (just several days ago, a quite radical federal judge in Wisconsin ruled in favor of the group’s claim challenging housing allowances for pastors). After failing so many times, the FFRF is now trying a new tactic, with founder Dan Barker (who has publicly proclaimed his atheism but maintains ministerial credentials) applying to the U.S. House of Representatives chaplain to be able to lead a prayer.
His application was rejected, and he sued, claiming the practice of House prayer was in violation of the Supreme Court’s decision in Town of Greece v. Galloway (which had ruled permitting ministers to pray before legislative gatherings was constitutional).
Thankfully, Judge Rosemary Collyer from the D.C. District Court wasn’t too eager to go along. She rejected FFRF’s claims, holding that Barker could not piggyback on Town of Greece to demand that the House allow a “prayer” to what or whoever he wanted: “[C]ontrary to Mr. Barker’s hopeful interpretation, Town of Greece did not reference atheists — who are, by definition, nontheists who do not believe in God or gods — but ‘any minister or layman who wished to give [a prayer].'”
The interpretation of the Establishment Clause in this and other cases simply doesn’t require what Barker demanded. Sanity has prevailed — for now.
House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), who was named a defendant in Barker’s suit, praised the ruling and observed:
“Since the first session of the Continental Congress, our nation’s legislature has opened with a prayer to God. Today, that tradition was upheld and the freedom to exercise religion was vindicated. The court rightfully dismissed the claims of an atheist that he had the right to deliver a secular invocation in place of the opening prayer.” He concluded: “I am grateful that the People’s House can continue to begin its work each day as we have for centuries: taking a moment to pray to God.”

There has been much discussion about how blacks are being targeted and shot by police. The narrative is that “white privilege” has kept Caucasians out of prison, while others are arrested just because they are black or Hispanic. Let’s look at two sets of data for 2016:
The racial breakdown of America and;
The breakdown of arrests in America by race and age.
Perhaps this will paint a clearer picture for readers about differences in arrests by race and age.

In 2016, 69.6 percent of all individuals arrested were White, 26.9 percent were Black or African American, and 3.6 percent were of other races.
Of arrestees for whom ethnicity was reported, 18.4 percent were Hispanic.
Of all juveniles (persons under the age of 18) arrested in 2016, 62.1 percent were White, 34.7 percent were Black or African American, and 3.2 percent were of other races.
Of juvenile arrestees for whom ethnicity was reported, 22.8 percent were Hispanic.
Of all adults arrested in 2016, 70.2 percent were White, 26.2 percent were Black or African American, and 3.6 percent were of other races.
Of adult arrestees for whom ethnicity was reported, 18.0 were Hispanic.
White individuals were arrested more often for violent crimes than individuals of any other race and accounted for 59.0 percent of those arrests.
Of adults arrested for murder, 52.0 percent were Black or African American, 45.4 percent were White, and 2.6 percent were of other races.
Black or African American juveniles comprised 52.0 percent of all juveniles arrested for violent crimes. White juveniles accounted for 58.4 percent of all juveniles arrested for property crimes.
Of juveniles arrested for drug abuse violations, 74.8 percent were White.
White juveniles comprised 64.7 percent of juveniles arrested for rape and 60.2 percent of juveniles arrested for larceny-theft.
In 2016, 92.0 percent of all individuals arrested were adults (18 years of age and over). Adults comprised 89.9 percent of all persons arrested for violent crimes and 86.4 percent of persons arrested for property crimes.
Adults accounted for 93.7 percent of persons arrested for drug abuse violations.
In 2016, 25.9 percent of persons arrested for arson were juveniles. More than half of those juveniles (57.4 percent) were under the age of 15.
Persons between the ages of 25 and 29 accounted for 17.1 percent of all arrestees in 2016.
When comparing these data sets the following stand out about “adult” arrests:
Whites are by far the largest group arrested for crimes (70.2%).
The total percentage of whites arrested for crimes (70.2%) is less than the percentage of “white alone” population (76.9%) but greater than the “White alone, not Hispanic or Latino” population ( 61.3%).
Whites comprise the largest race arrested for violent crimes (59.0%).
Black/African American arrests (26.9%) was just over twice the “Black or African American alone” population (13.3%).
Of those arrested for murder 52.0% were “Black or African American” or nearly four times higher than their population (13.3%).
When comparing these data sets the following stand out about “juvenile” arrests:

As a law enforcement agency, given these data points, profiling criminals is a must.
To reduce “violent” crimes law enforcement would focus primarily on adult whites of which 89.9% were arrested. To prevent property/larceny-theft the focus would be on white adults first and white juveniles second. To stop drug abuse law enforcement would target the 93.7% of white adults and 74.8% of white juveniles. To reduce rape and arson juveniles would need to be profiled.
While black/African American juveniles arrested for violent crimes (52.0%) is high for their population, it is not indicative of the need for great police concern as juveniles (age 18 and younger) of all races only 8% (half black and half white) were arrested for committing a crime.
A law enforcement model must look at the profile of those who do the crime, if the police, given limited resources, are to be effective in reducing crime.

The gay owner of a coffee shop in Seattle kicked a group of Christians out of his coffee shop Sunday after declaring in obscene terms that he would like to sodomize Jesus Christ.
The owner heatedly tells the Christians to leave his shop immediately in a video posted to Facebook by Abolish Human Abortion, a Christian group seeking to end the practice of abortion.
“I’m gay, you have to leave,” the owner tells the group. “This is offensive to me. I own the place. I have the right to be offended.”
The group tried to explain that they hadn’t placed any in the shop, but the owner repeatedly told them to”shut up.”
“There’s nothing you can say. This is you and I don’t want these people in this place,” the owner says. The group asks why he can’t tolerate their presence, prompting the owner to ask them if they would watch him have sex with his boyfriend.
“Can you tolerate my presence? Really? If I go get my boyfriend and f— him in the a– right here you’re going to tolerate that? Are you going to tolerate it?” the owner asked. “Answer my f—ing question! No, you’re going to sit right here and f—ing watch it! Leave all of you! Tell all your f—ing friends don’t come here!”
The group gets up to leave, as one woman among them says, “just know that Christ can save you from that lifestyle.”
“Yeah, I like a–. I’m not going to be saved by anything. I’d f— Christ in the a–. Okay? He’s hot,” he said.
According to The Liberator, the Christian group had been handing out pamphlets to Seattle locals on abortion, sin and the Bible. The group entered Bedlam Coffee to take a break and drink coffee when a barista went upstairs to tell the owner that the group was there.
“They had good coffee,” Caytie Davis, a group member, said. “It’s just too bad the service sucked.”

Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, the newly elected Deputy Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, is anti-Semitic, pro-Muslim Brotherhood, and pro-Nation of Islam. Canceling sequestration that is weakening & destroying the “Combat Effectiveness” of the U.S. Armed Forces;

Supporting enforcement of all US Federal Immigration Laws;
Supporting the appointment of 553 key Executive Branch vacancies;
Passing a bill to repair the crumbling infrastructure, and so much more;
Halting the discriminatory practice of excluding Christians Refugees from the Middle East, while only allowing hundreds of thousands Middle East/African Muslim Refugees to resettle in 187 cities at a cost of billions of tax payer dollars.
“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America,” declared Barack Obama during a campaign stop on Oct. 30, 2008, five days before the election that would make him the most powerful man in the world.
The concept of “fundamental transformation” has been discussed vigorously since then, especially in light of the many sweeping changes Obama brought to the country over his eight years in office.
Historian Charles Sasser sees Obama’s “fundamental transformation” in the context of an older and more sinister plan articulated by a pair of Marxist activists nearly 50 years ago.
“What we’re seeing now is this fundamental transformation, and it goes all the way back to [Herbert] Marcuse,” Sasser said during a recent appearance on the “Prophecy Hour” radio program. “In the 1960s when he [Marcuse] was talking about the ‘long march through the institutions,’ this is what Obama was talking about – the fundamental transformation of America.”
The “long march through the institutions” was coined by student activist Rudi Dutschke in the late 1960s to describe his strategy for bringing about the conditions for a Marxist revolution in the United States.
The plan was for Marxists to infiltrate all of America’s major institutions – politics, the news media, the education system, the churches, the entertainment industry – and slowly subvert those institutions from within, thereby subverting America.
Marcuse, a prominent Marxist intellectual associated with the Frankfurt School, agreed with Dutschke’s strategy and brought it to wider attention in his 1972 book “Counterrevolution and Revolt.”
Sasser, author of the brand new book “Crushing the Collective: The Last Chance to Keep America Free and Self-Governing,” pointed out Hillary Clinton has expressed shades of this idea as well. During a 2015 speech, the soon-to-be Democratic presidential nominee declared, “Deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.”
The imposition of political correctness is an integral part of this long march through the institutions, according to Sasser. Viewed from this perspective, the march is making excellent progress in certain areas.
“Let’s look at our education,” Sasser said. “We’ve got safe spaces; we’ve got all these people who refuse to listen to anyone who has an opinion different from their own. They will riot, break windows, everything else to keep people from free speech.”
The Marxists are also slowly but surely undermining Christianity, according to Sasser.
“In 2012, when Obama was nominated for a second term, the Democratic National Committee took God out of their platform, and when someone proposed that they put God back in the platform, the entire stadium [at the Democratic National Convention] booed the idea of putting God in the platform,” he recalled.
“Now, look a few months later: There was a prayer at an abortion rally, and they prayed to God for God to help on abortions.”
The radical leftists are subverting the political arena as well. In “Crushing the Collective” Sasser reveals a long list of organizations through which “socialist and authoritarian radicals” are working to undermine America.
This includes Socialist International, whose leadership includes or has included Democratic Party figures such as Howard Dean, Madeleine Albright and Tom Daschle.
It includes the Congressional Progressive Caucus, founded by admitted socialist Bernie Sanders. The CPC included 83 Democratic House members in 2010.
Sasser also singles out the Institute for Policy Studies, an old and influential far-left think tank whose membership has included many current and former congressmen, including Leon Panetta, Obama’s defense secretary and CIA director.
“Socialist International, the Progressive Party – look at the Progressive Party a little closer,” Sasser urged the “Prophecy Hour” audience. “Progressive Democrats of America, the Congressional Progressive Caucus – look at how many of those people in there are socialists and Marxists. Nobody wants to do that because it’s politically incorrect to say anything about it.”
So, what can Americans do to beat back the long Marxist march? Sasser is not optimistic; he does not believe conservatives can ever take back the cultural institutions now that those institutions have succumbed to the left.
Nor does he believe a single American president can stop the long march. Not even Ronald Reagan could stop it.
“Reagan was successful in what he did, but then as soon as he was gone, the march through the institutions continued, and I think we’re going to see the same thing now,” Sasser commented.
He noted the radical left is stronger than ever, and they seem to sense that.
“Obama said, ‘Now is our time.’” Sasser said. “Yes, now is their time. They think that they have the upper hand, that they can make America socialist, and I think they’re going to do that because we don’t fight back. We’re afraid to say anything because of political correctness.”
Sasser, who has spent much of his life studying history, knows societies that fall as far into the clutches of collectivism as the U.S. has do not bounce back well. They may survive, but in a diminished form. Italy is still around, for example, but it is nothing like the Roman Empire. Iran is a regional power, but it is not as prestigious as the great Persian empires of the past.
“I want to believe that Trump may be another Reagan, that we may have a chance,” he said. “But then I look at the institutions. Like Newt Gingrich said, once they own the cultural institutions, they’re impossible to regain, and if they own all of the institutions, including many of our churches right now, if they do that we can’t retake them if we can’t crush this idea of the collective.”

Why do some people recklessly repeat statements ad nauseam which are, in the end, simply not true? Because for many, the means justify the ends. Some people will believe anything if it is repeated enough, allowing proponents of claims such as those made about Mississippi’s HB 1523 to see them increasingly accepted as true. Unfortunately, this does not help our increasingly fractured society get along, but only cements intolerance toward many well-meaning Christians — who themselves would never act in such bad faith toward those who disagree with biblical truth.Since HB 1523’s challengers lost before the 5thCircuit after they were not able to show how the law injured them, they have now appealed to the Supreme Court — and have recklessly mischaracterized the circumstances surrounding this law in doing so.
Their petition opens by absurdly arguing that the religious exemptions in HB 1523 “demean” and “stigmatize” same-sex couples and deny them equal treatment under the law (ostensibly, because such exemptions allow some to withhold their approval of such conduct). In the petitioners’ view, “[t]hat is precisely the harm that Obergefell sought to rectify.”
This line of reasoning misleadingly implies that HB 1523 somehow was designed to undercut Obergefell. It wasn’t. The law simply provides exemptions for those whose consciences are implicated by Obergefell — which can be followed consistent with HB 1523; same-sex marriages are still fully treated the same by the state of Mississippi as other marriages. Just as objections to military service and abortion have long been protected in law despite fitting the petitioners’ notion of a “particular” religion (notably, the petition never really addresses these areas), the law can provide conscience exemptions in other areas too.
Nevertheless, the petitioners continue to try to condition the reader to the “goodness” of Obergefell and the nefarious nature of any religious objections to it (notwithstanding the Supreme Court’s own recognition to the contrary) — the warm sounding yet nebulous “promise” of Obergefell is discussed, HB 1523 is alleged to “repudiate central aspects of petitioners’ lives, families, and identities,” and the law is an “attempt[] to use religious exemptions to undermine rights to equality and dignity of LGBT people.” Even the Masterpiece case is subtly equated with “state attempts to limit Obergefell by creating unprecedented religious exemptions.”
Christians are trying to live with Obergefell, and just protect their own conscience by not being forced under penalty of law to celebrate something that is clearly contrary to scripture. Yet instead of trying to find a reasonable middle ground, opponents of HB 1523 are forging ahead and asking the Supreme Court to take this case with the help of none other than former Obama Solicitor General Donald Verilli — who famously admitted at oral argument in Obergefell that religious institutions that disagree with same-sex marriage could lose their tax-exempt status.
Those supporting HB 1523 and similar legislation might disagree with Obergefell, but they are not trying to change the ruling — they are just trying to protect themselves in the face of it. If only those who support Obergefell and disagree with HB 1523 would do the same.

There’s a disclaimer many of us have been conditioned to utter, quite reflexively, and it’s something that has got to stop. When preparing a defense of the United States (against, lamentably, other “Americans”), we may preface it with, “Well, I know our country isn’t perfect” or, as pundit Tucker Carlson said while debating a bigoted lawyer last month, “I don’t deny…that this country is flawed….” Actually, our perspective is flawed.
To gain some perspective, imagine you were giving a speech about your mother and opened with, “Now, we know my mother has flaws, but….” Sound good?
Consider the message sent. Since we’re all imperfect, it’s a given your mother has flaws, and, therefore, it isn’t something you’d normally even think to mention. Thus, the very act of mentioning it involves the implication that your mother isn’t just saddled with the usual imperfections — but that she’s uniquely flawed. It’s not something you do unless she’s a somewhat horrible person.
Or you’re a horrible child — or one horribly brainwashed into thinking he must please a certain hateful audience by disparaging what should be held dear.
Of course, if America were uniquely flawed, it would follow that there are a host of nations better. If we know of one, we may want to consider moving there. If we don’t, we should stop parroting that stupid disclaimer. Russians don’t do it. Chinese don’t do it. Japanese don’t do it. Not even Sudanese, Iranians or North Koreans do it.
In fact, while there’s no nation without sin, can you think of one beyond the waning West whose citizens feel compelled to issue self-flagellating we’re-so-flawed utterances? So why do many Americans, despite occupying history’s greatest nation, feel such a compulsion? What are they comparing America to? Heaven?
Speaking of the spirit world, many cultures would engage in ancestor worship. We engage in ancestor condemnation. Just recently, while defending Columbus Day against Indigenous Peoples Day dunderheads, a quite well-meaning commentator wrote that there “are 364 other days in the year on which we could acknowledge the sins of our ancestors….”
Sorry, but I don’t do ancestors. First, I’ll consider condemning our forebears when other groups and nations begin condemning theirs. Second, I’m no more responsible for their trespasses than I am for their triumphs. (Speaking of which, when I start getting royalty checks for all the inventions and innovations birthed by history’s great white men, I’ll consider offering reparations.) Lastly, I have no interest in continually “acknowledging” my ancestors’ sins — I have enough problems with my own.
This brings us to another aspect of this matter, one well illustrated by another comment Tucker Carlson made: that our country “is deeply flawed on questions of race.”
Actually, no, it’s not. As in the 1990s Rwandan genocide, racial/ethnic/tribal/religious conflicts elsewhere often have resulted in massive bloodshed. In contrast, it’s hard to think of a nation in which so many disparate peoples get along as well as in the U.S. (though the Left is trying feverishly to change that). The point is that in all this talk about “our flaws,” we’re not even talking about “our” flaws.
We’re talking about the flaws of people long dead (that is, when the flaws aren’t wholly imaginary).
In other words, we’re fighting yesterday’s battles — harping on our ancestors’ sins in an infinite loop — and ignoring today’s.
As to this, if a man seeing a therapist fixated constantly on his late father’s faults, wouldn’t the therapist point out that, not only is he living in the past, but that incessantly focusing on another’s flaws can be a way of avoiding having to confront your own?
Leftists haven’t the foggiest idea what our “flaws” are for the simple reason that, being moral relativists/nihilists (not believing in Truth, absolute by definition), they have no standard of perfection to use as a yardstick. And if you have no objective standard of right, you can’t know what’s wrong — not any more than you could identify unhealthful foods without believing in and knowing the rules of human nutrition.
We do have real flaws, today, now, things such as confusion over marriage, sex and the sexes (“transgender” agenda); the mainstreaming of perversion; decadent entertainment; rampant vulgarity; racial demagoguery; profligate spending; leftist propaganda everywhere; and, what lies at the heart of it all, moral relativism. But it’s easier to talk about those dastardly dead white males — they’re not around to defend themselves.
One of the great victories of the Left is that it has woven so many of its suppositions so seamlessly into the culture that even good people accept them, unknowingly, unthinkingly. Thus will we utter, cowed and callow, “Look, I know our country has flaws….”
The irony is that if we could purge so-called leftism from the hearts and minds of Americans, most of our flaws would disappear overnight.

I recently had a conversation with my health insurance company that gave me some interesting perspective on the current US health care system. I’m pregnant, so I called to figure out whether my insurance covered a new breast pump for when I return to work while nursing. There was good news and bad news.
Good news: insurance covers (most of) a new breast pump!
Bad news: Due to federal regulations and insurance bureaucracy, I cannot simply order the pump I want from Amazon, where prices are clearly laid out, the pump I want is in stock, and I know what I am getting. Instead, my insurance gave me a list of 10 different medical supply companies, all of which provide different pumps and half of which do not list prices. This is a problem since my insurance only covers $178 of the pump’s price.
So rather than spending two minutes ordering a pump from Amazon, I will spend at least an entire morning sifting through websites mostly designed circa 2004 and filling out various information request forms to find out whether the company carries the pump I want and how much the same pump costs at these different websites. I will also need to get a prescription from my doctor, which will require another appointment and more paperwork.
All in all, a process that should take two minutes will now take at least a week of back and forth, many emails, multiple phone calls, and shipping that will definitely take longer than two-day Prime shipping.
So what’s going on here?
The Unintended Consequences of Health Insurance Mandates
The breast pump example is a classic case of unintended consequences. When the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was passed, one much-lauded goal was to provide better support for breastfeeding mothers and their babies. The requirement was touted as a way mothers could nurse longer (a major public health goal that may or may not make a lot of sense), particularly once they re-entered the workforce.
The requirement, as many have noted, turned a normal consumer good into a medical device that all women could get for “free,” regardless of income level. Some four million American women give birth every year, and some large percentage of those at least attempt to breastfeed. Many, if not most, nursing mothers will need a breast pump at some point, so the costs of this mandate are not small.
Insurance companies, predictably, did not respond altruistically and absorb the costs of an expensive new mandate. They passed some of these costs on to consumers in the form of higher premiums but also sought to control costs by limiting the kinds of pumps mothers had access to. My insurance, for example, only covers a single electric pump, which is ironic because the last time I checked, most women have two breasts. But insurers’ rationale is understandable: they’ve been ordered to provide a free thing — not necessarily the best free thing out there, nor the free thing that actually would meet women’s wants and needs for pumping.Companies also, predictably, increased the red tape associated with ordering a breast pump, both to ensure they can prove their compliance to the federal government, and also probably in part to make it harder for women to access the benefit. I didn’t bother getting an insurance-covered breast pump for my second child (the ACA wasn’t fully in effect when I had my first) because I had an old breast pump a friend had given me and I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of getting a new pump while wrangling a newborn.
Without government interference in my insurance plan, where would I be today? I probably would have taken some of the money I would have saved in slightly lower premiums and bought myself the breast pump I really wanted. Instead, I’m faced with both paying higher premiums and being forced to choose a product that does not fit my needs. As FEE’s Pamela Hobart discussed, lower-income women already had access to low-cost breast pumps through the supplemental nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Why did the government believe it necessary to mandate coverage for all women, when most women not on WIC would have been better served simply buying the breast pump they really wanted out of pocket? Obviously, the answer is political, but it makes little to no economic sense.
Government Micromanagement and Insurance Bureaucracy
My breast pump saga is merely one example of a much broader lesson that goes well beyond nursing mothers. The more government micromanages what insurance companies are required to do, the more insurance companies will respond with red tape and hurdles to lower their own costs and prevent being taken advantage of.The breast pump saga is also an important reminder of what insurance was originally not meant to do. Health insurance was meant to help cover the catastrophic costs of medical care that an average person could not have foreseen: getting hit by a bus, developing cancer, or needing a liver transplant. Health insurance was never meant to provide people with basic consumer goods they can and should be saving for themselves. It also was never meant to pay for regular checkups, physicals, and the foreseeable and moderate expenses of being a human being with a fallible body.
Now we use health insurance to pay for everything from yearly physicals to breast pumps to blood pressure screenings, and the government continues to mandate more and more covered items and procedures. The result has not been better care, but escalating costs and more restrictions on consumer choice. None of that seems like much of a “benefit” to me.
So how did my pump saga ultimately end? After a few hours of wasted time Googling and talking to medical supply companies on the phone, I ended up ordering the pump I wanted from a local medical supply company. That pump, available for $174.98 on Amazon, ended up costing my insurance $178.00 and me another $70, while the sticker price on the receipt inexplicably totaled $318.00. Total extra bureaucratic costs: a few hours of my time, my insurance company’s time, the medical supply company’s time, and an extra $70 to $140, depending on which price you hold to be the “real” price.
But yes, by all means, let’s get MORE government involvement in healthcare.

We have been treated to a year of rioting and violence over the mere hint that a conservative may speak at some college. The intolerant, fascistic, violent Left seems determined to demonstrate just how vicious and despotic its instincts are.
And the Left has apparently upped its game even further now. Well-known blogger and investigative journalist Warner Todd Huston woke up in the middle of the night this weekend to discover his car on fire. There is no reason to mistake this as some kind of accident and every reason to assume the worst. Over the past year, his house has been pelted with eggs and hate graffiti, his flags have been desecrated and destroyed, and now this. (Huston wrote his own account of what happened.)
According to Warner, in the first incident, a flag was removed from a flag staff on his house and left shredded on the front lawn. He replaced the flag, but within weeks it was gone. He put up another flag, this time of the U.S. Army seal. Shortly thereafter a corner of the flag was burned and above it was scribbled “Die Dogs.”

Warner had already had his garage door egged. With the flag burned and the threatening message, he decided to file a report with the police. Then his garage door was again egged, this time with the message “racist” written on it.

Warner doesn’t hide who he is or what he does. He writes about immigration and the issues with Islam, along with many other issues of interest to real Americans. In the Left’s vernacular that means “racist!” But now their vandalism and destruction of property is no longer limited to statues and other symbols in public parks. Now it is getting personal, at least in Warner’s neighborhood.
After this second incident with the eggs and graffiti, he filed another police report. Finally, Warner awoke in the middle of the night Saturday at about 1 a.m. to notice a glowing outside his window. Going out to investigate he found his car in flames.
I was awakened by a noise outside my home. I can’t really say what the noise was as it woke me from a deep sleep … I looked at my window and saw what struck me as a strange light outside. So, I went to the front door …
The police came to investigate but claimed they couldn’t classify it as arson because there was no evidence. Warner, however, found a melted plastic bottle sitting on the seat where the fire started. He said the bottle cap was on the floor of the car and it smelled like gasoline. The bottle and cap will appear in the official firefighters’ photos, which were taken that night. We can only hope the police will find that evidence compelling.
Warner maintains his own website, Publius’ Forum. He began blogging in 2001, making a name for himself in the “blogosphere” early on. He got in on the ground floor at the urging of the late Andrew Breitbart when Andrew began his now-famous website in 2008. Warner has continued to write for Breitbart since then, in addition to many other publications that carry his work.
Huston’s son has set up a GoFundMe page in hopes of raising enough funds to replace his car. Huston says it was an old car, only covered by liability insurance. For most in this business, writing does not make one rich, or even comfortable. It is a labor of love and commitment to our beloved country – a nation now threatened by the forces of anarchy.

Have we lost our collective minds? A mass shooting with no readily apparent motive is an extreme representation of our sense that our social fabric is unraveling. This is one of those things that people don’t believe can happen until it happens. And despite the unspeakable tragedy, it took less than an hour for politicians to criticize the President, ghoulishly exhorting that we need more than prayers and consolation. Maybe we do, but at least give the circle of victims a chance to deal with their personal grief before spouting off. At least CBS had the decency to fire its soulless vice president and senior counsel Hayley Geftman-Gold after she posted “I’m actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic].”
We have become a culture where Tim Tebow is mocked for kneeling in prayer before a football game while others are praised for “taking a knee” during the National Anthem—which by the way is not praying. Taking a knee in American football is when the quarterback drops to one knee immediately after receiving the snap, thus automatically ending the play. Taking a knee is a boring but effective move by the winning team toward the end of the game, as it does not allow the opponent the opportunity to regain possession of the ball. In urban lingo it means to take a temporary break from an activity.
Clearly, “taking a knee” is not praising a Higher Power that many on this earth believe in. And standing for the Anthem does not make one a racist. Note to partisan “news” presenters: when you push a pendulum in one direction really hard, when released it swings the other way with equal or greater force.
Living in virtual reality is no longer beyond the fringe. Children are becoming obese because they are participating in sports through video games rather than actually tossing around a ball to one another.
What happened to talking to each other? You don’t need a psychology professor to tell you that smart phones increase loneliness. Just walk down the street and you’ll see far too many couples walking, each with their own cell phone, obviously not talking to each other. Texting a few abbreviated words has replaced real conversation and emotional connection.
And we wonder why opiate use has risen to epidemic levels. People have always had their troubles. And man’s desire to avoid suffering whether physical or emotional, whether through alcohol, opium, mushrooms, or coca leaves has been documented for at least 9,000 years. But now the public has been convinced they can’t just be “high on life” and learn to cope. Big Pharma’s direct-to-consumer television ads quietly list innumerable side effects while extolling the virtues of their wares and the consumer’s inability to live without them.
Nearly 70 percent of Americans take at least one prescription drug. The statistics from the Rochester Epidemiology Project in Olmsted County, Minnesota (which are comparable to those elsewhere in the United States) reveal that the top three medications consumed are antibiotics (17%), antidepressants (13%), and opioids (11%). Antidepressants and opioids were the most commonly prescribed among young and middle-aged adults.
As physicians we do not want to become numb to patients’ needs while being consumed by government dictates. Electronic medical records should not become the excuse for hiding behind a computer screen—particularly with members of the younger generation who came out of the womb with a cell phone strapped to their ear by the umbilical cord. We need to be free to spend precious time getting to know our patients. Medications have saved countless lives, but prescriptions cannot become the tool to move along the overbooked office schedule or a quick fix to placate the demanding patient.
Let’s take heart. When left to our own devices and stripped of artificial political labels, we humans rise. Just ask our first responders and medical personnel or the hurricane volunteers or the victims helping victims or the thousands of people donating blood or the over 30,000 donors to the Go Fund Me page for the Las Vegas victims.

DEATH SQUAD #1—The Cloward-Piven Strategy
Instead of starting with the anti-American traitors in the Franklin Delano Roosevelt administrations of 1933 to 1945, who were prominent in starting the seditious ball rolling, for purposes of brevity I’ll start with the Cloward-Piven strategy which began in 1966 and flourishes to this day.
Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, a married couple, were professors at the Columbia University School of Social Work who loathed capitalism. But claiming that it was really income inequality they hated, they developed what they hoped was a sure-fire way to redistribute income and transform our nation into a paradise they thought would be “fair” to all its citizens….you know, like Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, et al.
According to former longtime Congressman John Linder, Cloward and Piven posited that “capitalism could be collapsed by overloading the government with financial demands that could not be met. The strategy is to collapse the financial system. The tactic is chaos. If a crisis does not exist, create one. The more chaos the better. The solution is always couched in empathetic words like ‘fair,’ ‘equal,’ ‘humane’ and ‘just.’”
In short, they called for overloading the welfare system so it would ultimately force the government to establish a national scheme of a guaranteed annual income. Mass unrest was the tactic chosen to expand welfare rolls.
The strategy worked. By the 1970s, says Linder, “there was one person on welfare in New York City for every two working in the private sector. The City declared bankruptcy in 1975.”
Cloward and Piven also formed Project Vote, ACORN, and Human SERVE in order to swamp voter rolls with names that would never vote, but whose names would be on the rolls so others could vote in their stead. When President Bill Clinton signed the bill in 1993, Linder elaborates, Cloward and Piven were standing behind him. And surprise surprise—ACORN’s lawyer was none other than Barack Obama.
Why do you think liberals went so berserk when the Contract With America, House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s brainchild, passed in 1994? They detested the idea of getting mostly black people off welfare. The people who liked the program most were millions of black people who entered job training programs, got jobs, and got paychecks!
But liberals never tire of trying to destroy America. After the financial collapse of 2008—a result of liberal pressure to mandate that banks make loans in poor neighborhoods to people who couldn’t pay for them—$2 trillion had to be spent by the government to save Wall Street and—ta da!—expand welfare and unemployment benefits.
After dozens of corrupt ACORN employees were indicted on charges of voter fraud, their funding dried up and they were disbanded. But they now operate—with the same play-Americans-for-suckers philosophy—under different names.
From 2009 to 2016, the poseur “president” Barack Obama opened our Southern border to floodgates—literally millions—of illegal aliens, creating the kind of chaos and massive government expense that his clients, Cloward and Piven, would applaud, as they would certainly praise him for doubling the national debt to $20 trillion! Remember their strategy, i.e., crush the capitalist system with such debt that it collapses!
Today, when you see the massive numbers of people living in “Sanctuary Cities” the huge numbers still trying to breach our borders, and the generations of black people—all Democrat voters—mired in inferior schools, who have high crime and prison rates, single-parent families, chronic poverty, and are dependent on welfare, you are seeing the rotten fruits of the Cloward-Piven plan. Cloward died in 2001 and his wife, Frances Piven, is—surprise surprise—the honorary chairman of the Democratic Socialists of America.
Both of them were quite brilliant. But they and their followers never met Donald Trump, who is both onto their schemes and impervious to their double-talk!
Nevertheless, their malevolent “strategy” persists to this day and is out to destroy the man who threatens, once and for all, to annihilate their legacy.
DEATH SQUAD #2—Saul Alinsky
Interestingly, in the same decade, the 1960s, that Cloward and Piven were plotting America’s demise, the ideas of another radical, Saul Alinsky—a community organizer from Chicago—were being adopted by a number of college students who had read his revolutionary book, Rules for Radicals, and decided that his destroy-America ideas were irresistible.
To be sure, Alinsky also cloaked his ideas in altruistic terms, stating that his goal was to help poor black communities. But he didn’t fool people like Hillary Clinton, who wrote her Wellesley thesis about Alinsky and remained close friends with him years after she graduated, or Barack Obama who actually became a community organizer in the Alinsky mode. Both of them shared Alinsky’s real goal, which was to destroy capitalist America and turn it into the socialist-cum-communist regime they preferred—even while they themselves indulged in multimillion-dollar homes, half-million-dollar speaking fees, lavish travel, five-star restaurants, red-carpet treatment, and anything but the socialism-cum-communism life they tout for the lowly American masses for whom they have zero respect or regard.
Among Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals were:
“Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.”
“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
“Keep the pressure on. Never let up.”
“The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
Alinsky was quite brilliant, but like Cloward and Piven, no match for Donald Trump. In fact, according to Brian C. Joondeph, M.D., President Trump has successfully co-opted Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals!
“Who talks about returning power to the people, rather than maintaining power in the establishment? Or Congress? Or with the deep state?” Joondeph asks….this is right “out of the Alinsky playbook.” The president is also expert at baiting the establishment, ridiculing the opposition, unnerving his political opponents….straight from Alinsky!
Nevertheless, Alinsky’s “rules” and followers persist to this day and his modern-day acolytes are out to destroy the man who threatens to obliterate his legacy.
DEATH SQUAD #3—The Left Wing Media
We all know that for the most part the media is notorious for skewing the “news” in a Marxist direction, or—same thing—in a Bill or Hillary or Barack or Chuckie Schumer or Nancy Pelosi direction. This is understandable because, as I explained in a recent article, Media Whores, most media anchors and news readers take their marching orders directly from their bosses—and their very very very wealthy bosses are extremely invested in the global economy and not in the vision of President Trump’s economy, which is to bring jobs and manufacturing and profits back to the United States in order to Make America Great Again!
During his campaign, Pres. Trump outed the entire industry of fake news, as well as individual practitioners of phony reporting, such as Jim Acosta of CNN to name but one of many, and promptly started a downward spiral from which all the faux reporters and newscasters will probably never recover.
Actually, most members of the media have never met Donald Trump. Oops, that’s not quite true. They actually met him often and lionized him and reported on the spectacular ratings he received for “The Apprentice” for 14 seasons and afforded him positive press for the Miss America contest he owned for nearly two decades.
But then he released one discordant drop into the ocean of accolades he had received over the years and poof! All he had to do was call himself “Republican” and he became Enemy #1 to all those formerly slavering toadies.
That same media complex is massive and unrelenting, both in its leftwing bias and almost fanatical determination to bring down the president, to destroy the man who has already tarnished their reputations irrevocably.
DEATH SQUAD #4—The Muslim Brotherhood
Central to the downfall of America are the rigid beliefs of all Muslims which are dictated by their holy book, the Koran. As writer Linda Goudsmit explains in explicit and exquisite detail: “Islam is an expansionist socio-political movement with a religious wing created 1400 years ago. Islam then and Islam now seeks world dominion—the establishment of a worldwide Islamic caliphate ruled by Islamic sharia law,” which is not only incompatible with but anathema to the U.S. Constitution and American law.
Indeed, this 7th century movement believes that everyone in the world who is not a Muslim is an infidel and worthy of conversion to Islam, at best, or death, at worst. “Islam is not a religion of peace like Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, or Judaism,” Goudsmit writes, but “a unified socio-political system with a militarized wing, an educational wing, a religious wing, and enormous oil wealth [that is] governed exclusively by religious sharia law.”
In fact, criticism of any facet of Islam, including female genital mutilation, wife beating, honor killing, general misogyny, throwing gays off roofs, et al, is considered “hate speech”, according to sharia law.
A 2014 Walid Shoebat article stated that Muslims have a 30-year plan to control America which leaves them three years to go! Of course, this timetable was totally dependent on Hillary winning the White House in 2016 and continuing with the malignant policies put in place by the poseur “president” Barack Obama.
Remember, Mr. Obama placed high-ranking members of the Muslim Brotherhood in every important department and at the highest reaches of our government, where they had access not only to our security and military secrets, but first-hand insight into exactly how our government operates—the better to dismantle it with maximum efficiency.
The plan Mr. Shoebat describes began in 1990 and “included a key component and tactic known as Muruna. Like the Ebola virus, it is extremely effective at carrying out its deadly mission. A perfect example of Muruna would include a Muslim woman marrying a Jewish man if it afforded her stealth and cover while gaining access to power centers. Consider Huma Abedin, the very close adviser to Hillary Clinton who served as then Secretary of State Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff. In 2010, she married a Jewish man who also happened to be a U.S. Congressman Anthony Weiner. Ironically, Bill Clinton presided over the ceremony. Circa 1996, Abedin became an assistant editor with the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs (IMMA), an institution with the goal of converting all Muslim minority lands into Muslim majority lands.”
Decades before the years of the Obama regime, oil-rich Muslim countries were buying hefty shares in American media companies, as well as making astronomical contributions and endowing chairs in colleges all over America—effectively dictating the slant of their curricula. No surprise that Mr. Obama punctuated this propaganda push by federalizing education through the Islamophilic Common Core so-called standards to schools throughout the country.
Today, there are a growing number of groups—like theCouncil on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a front for Hamas; theU.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), through which the Muslim Brotherhood lobbies and influences American lawmakers and government agencies; theNorth American Islamic Trust (NAIT), which funnels Saudi oil money to build mosques and Islamic schools across America; and theIslamic Society of North America (ISNA), et al—all of which harbor the goal of controlling, subverting and ultimately conquering America.
DEATH SQUAD #5—George Soros
According to opensecrets.org and Matthew Boyle of Breitbart.com—the heftiest largess to the left comes from mega-funder and hedge-fund billionaire, George Soros, whose name, as reported by DiscoverTheNetworks.org, is attached to virtually hundreds of leftwing U.S. organizations.
But his “charity” doesn’t end there. He also gives bountiful donations to a number of Republicans who are all too willing to compromise their, ahem, principles, when it comes to lining their pockets. Among the long list of recipients is Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and AZ Senator John McCain, who have perfected a clever two-step for blocking President Trump’s agenda, i.e., Ryan pretends to be enthusiastic and pushes things through the House, knowing that a cabal of obstructionists, led by McCain, will stop them cold.
Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit has reported that Mr. Soros has also funded every major protest since the November 2016 election, including the Women’s March on Washington (see my article, “The March to Nowhere”), the protests in front of Trump Tower in NY City, the thug-fests at Berkeley College, at the college of William & Mary, and elsewhere, as well as the fascists-on-display demonstrations of the anti-American, anti-Semitic Black Lives Matter and Antifa, where bought-and-paid for miscreants—dressed up like and imitating ISIS terrorists and Hitler’s Brown Shirts—proceeded to smash windows, light cars on fire, and brutally attack supporters of President Trump.
An editorial (read the whole thing) in HumanEvents.com—a magazine whose readers voted Soros ”the single most destructive leftist demagogue in the country”—listed the Top 10 reasons “George Soros is Dangerous,” documenting each one. To mention just three, he:
Gives billions to left-wing causes—several years ago it was estimated at $7 billion—such asACORN, National Council of La Raza, Tides Foundation, Huffington Post, Southern Poverty Law Center, Planned Parenthood, on and on.
Wants to curtail American sovereignty so that America becomes subservient to international bodies like the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the cesspool known as the United Nations.
Is delusional. Soros has repeatedly said that he sees himself as a messianic figure. “I admit that I have always harbored an exaggerated view of my self-importance—to put it bluntly, I fancied myself as some kind of god” or “I carried some rather potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise I might end up in the loony bin.”
In one of his many books, Open Society: Reforming Global Capitalism, Soros stated: “It may be shocking to say, but I believe that the current unilateralist posture of the United States constitutes a serious threat to the peace and prosperity of the world.” Also, “The main enemy of the open society, I believe, is no longer the communist, but the capitalist threat.”
In addition, according to journalist Warner Todd Huston, citing work done by the Washington Free Beacon, Soros is one of the hugest donors to the anti-Trump resistance, part of “a secret group of left-wing foundations and millionaire donors” who himself contributed nearly $2 million.
The National Football League (NFL) players are also working with Soros to help fund the anti-Trump resistance. Thought the NFL was nonpartisan? In fact, its labor union has been donating money to leftist political causes for years!
DEATH SQUAD #6—HAARP
The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program is a program jointly funded by the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, with the intent of investigating the ionosphere (the earth’s upper atmosphere) for its potential to enhance technology for radio communication and surveillance.
The above Wikipedia link says that work on the HAARP Station began in 1993, but as far back as 1958, the chief White House advisor on weather modification, Captain Howard T. Orville, said the U.S. defense department was studying “ways to manipulate the charges of the earth and sky and so affect the weather…”
And we all know about weather manipulation going back to Vietnam, when in Operation Popeye, the U.S. military used cloud seeding (from March 20, 1967 until July 5, 1972) to extend the monsoon season over Laos, specifically areas of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Even before that, in July of 1943, Operation Gomorrah was successfully used by the Royal Air Force to completely cloud German radar.
I cite HAARP as a potential member of the death-to-America squad because it is speculative and, at this point, impossible to prove.
But really!
Harvey “the worst” hurricane in history” to ever hit Houston.
Irma “the worst hurricane in history” to ever hit Florida.
Maria “the worst hurricane in history” to ever hit Puerto Rico.
And that is not to omit the worst fire fires in Kansas and other bizarre events that HAARP is capable of bringing about, including “the worst earthquake in history” in Mexico in September.
In addition, Nick Begich Jr., son of the late U.S. Representative Nick Begich and brother of former U.S. Senator Mark Begich, is the author of Angels Don’t Play This HAARP. He has claimed that HAARP could trigger earthquakes, among other things, and elaborates on the subject on his website.
In addition, physicist Bernard Eastlund claimed that HAARP includes technology based on his own patents that have the capability to modify weather and neutralize satellites. Compiled by writer Ethan Huff, here is an extensive list of weather-control patents which prove the technology exists to augment and control powerful storms.
And writer Mike Adams describes how weather-war theorists say that Hurricane Harvey was engineered and steered toward Houston as a weather-terrorism weapon, possibly to allow FEMA to declare Martial Law.
“There is a growing community of weather skeptics,” Adams writes, “who insist that such events are not accidents but weapons. That’s why we’re covering this story…”
Frankly, I would not put it past the fanatics who are against President Trump to enact these “weather wars” in the name of fulfilling the anti-American, anti-globalist policies of Cloward & Piven, Alinsky, the Clintons, Obama, Soros, the Muslim Brotherhood, the swamp-dwellers in the U.S. Congress, and the Deep State denizens who have literally devoted their lives to undermining our great country.
They are all terrified by President Trump’s immense power to undo every seditious, malevolent and destructive thing they’ve been inflicting on Americans for the past 50 years, and especially during the monstrous reign of Barack Obama from 2009 to 2016.
Writer Sean Adl-Tabatabai reminds us that, “We do know we’re all constantly lied to by the fake news media about almost everything, from vaccines to economics to history. And don’t forget the ‘Russia! Russia! Russia!’ conspiracy theory that’s been pushed by the fake news media for the last 18 months, based on absolutely nothing but faked sources and shoddy journalism.”
Keep that in mind when you think about the six Hate-America Death Squad members I’ve mentioned that we cannot relent for a minute in exposing each one of them for the destructive, anti-freedom forces they are, just as we can never relent in supporting the genuine America patriot we now have in the White House!
Good. I hope they win a massive settlement and drive them all out of business. Each one has been cutting off its platform to foes of jihad terror. In February, referrals from Facebook and Twitter to Jihad Watch dropped by 90% and have never recovered. Google has changed its search results so that when one searches for topics related to Islam and jihad, only results whitewashing Islam’s links to terrorism come up. Meanwhile jihad terrorists, as is clear from this case, have free rein. These monopolies need to be broken up, and the sooner the better, as they are actively working against the freedom of speech.

Before the blood was even dry in Las Vegas, Democrats coast to coast were pushing gun control. Hillary Clinton led the charge, finding time between fainting spells to tweet “Our grief isn’t enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.” (Translation: “Put your politics aside…and accept my politics! Oh, and my grief is never enough because I don’t feel any.”) But I guess, taking Rahm Emanuel’s counsel, leftists “never let a serious crisis go to waste.”
The waste, though, is that we’re even talking about this matter in a tragedy’s wake. But since the attacks have been launched, let’s discuss guns.
To use a twist on a Frédéric Bastiat line, the bad social analyst confines himself to the visible effect; the good social analyst considers not just the effects that can be seen, but those largely invisible and those that must be foreseen. Events such as Sunday’s massacre by murderer Stephen Paddock cannot be missed; they’re horrible, headline-making tragedies.
Not easily seen are the results of a study by Florida State University criminologist Gary Kleck, a liberal Democrat and lifelong ACLU member: he found that guns are used by good citizens 2.2 to 2.5 million times per year to deter crime.
Some dispute this statistic, but whether it’s 2.5 million, 2 million or 1 million isn’t the point. It’s that an untold number of innocent lives are saved because good citizens own guns. This couldn’t happen were firearms outlawed. But since outlaws don’t follow laws, many of them would still have guns and, perhaps, even more innocents would be lost each year.
Yet what currently is lost, on many anti-gun activists, is reality. We hear, for example, that the U.S. is uniquely violent and that countries with strict gun-control are safer. Untrue.
According to Index Mundi, the U.S. ranks only 99th on a list of 191 nations in intentional homicide rate — in the bottom 50 percent. Moreover, there is no correlation whatsoever between stricter gun-control laws and lower murder rates.
Countries such as Russia, Mexico and Brazil have far stricter gun laws than we do but also more homicide. Then, as Professor Thomas Sowell wrote in 2012, “Gun ownership has been three times as high in Switzerland as in Germany, but the Swiss have had lower murder rates. Other countries with high rates of gun ownership and low murder rates include Israel, New Zealand, and Finland.”
This phenomenon is apparent everywhere. Journalist Piers Morgan (who still has never accepted my challenge to a debate) loves to mention how his Great Britain has a lower murder rate than does the U.S. But the U.K. has always had a lower murder rate — even back when both nations had few gun-control laws — and the U.K.’s gun-crime rate is higher now than it was then. Moreover, states such as New Hampshire have lower homicide rates than does Britain despite having far higher gun-ownership rates.
Some further examples:
Vermont has approximately the same gun-ownership rate as Louisiana but one-eighth the murder rate.
Japan has strict gun laws and, on paper, the world’s fifth-lowest homicide rate (critics note that, owing to the application of different criteria, that country’s actual rate is double the reported one). Yet Japanese-descent Americans living in the U.S. — with relatively easy access to firearms — have a murder ratehalf that of Japanese living in Japan.
As Dr. Sowell also informed, the rate of gun ownership “is higher in rural areas than in urban areas, but the murder rate is higher in urban areas. The rate of gun ownership is higher among whites than among blacks, but the murder rate is higher among blacks. For the country as a whole, hand gun ownership doubled in the late 20th century, while the murder rate went down.
People over 50 are more likely to own guns than those under 50, but the latter have a higher murder rate
So if there’s no correlation between gun-control/ownership and murder rates, what is the correlation?
Demographics.
As Sowell also tells us, it’s not the guns — it’s the people.
Generally speaking, places with demographics like South Africa’s have murder rates like South Africa’s. Places with demographics like Britain’s have murder rates like Britain’s. This isn’t as politically correct to talk about as slamming guns is, but reality doesn’t exist to be fashionable.
The U.S. already has more than 22,000 gun-control laws, yet every tragic shooting is exploited by gun-grabbing demagogues who, generally fooling themselves as much as others, never articulate a vision, their end game. Will Utopia be realized with the next 5,000 guns law? The next 10,000? 50,000? 100,000? Actually, in their heart of hearts, the anti-gun crowd wants only one more: that dictating the seizure of all guns.
This is always denied, but just finish the “progressive” progression here. If every tragedy were followed by more anti-gun laws, would we not end up incrementally where leftists deny they want to go suddenly?
If anti-gun laws are a good idea now, they’ll also be a good idea later, when the emotion surrounding Las Vegas has subsided. But since facts and reason aren’t on the leftists’ side, they’re left to appeal to emotion — and that’s most easily done when blood is still on the ground.

The dirty little secret is Leftists are cold and calculating only caring about implementing their socialist/progressive, anti-God and anti-American agenda. In plain words, Leftists do not give a rat’s derriere about who gets hurt or dies as long as it helps their mission to transform America. Leftists’ ultimate goal is to get rid of the Constitution, giving government power to control every aspect of our lives, dictating how we are allowed to behave. Thus, you can understand why Leftists seize every opportunity to move the ball towards their goal.
Here are just a few examples of Leftists saying screw the truth, logic, facts and negative effects on peoples’ lives. Leftists’ are laser-focused, using every weather catastrophe, accident, tragedy and political issue to further their agenda.
The Vegas Massacre:
Despicably, Leftists immediately exploited the Vegas massacre to further their mission to disarm law abiding citizens, undermining our 2nd Amendment right. What part of criminals-do-not-obey-gun-laws do Leftists not understand?
The shooter, Steven Paddock, broke every gun law. Therefore, tougher gun laws would not have stopped him. Cities with the toughest gun laws have the highest murder rates. Crime is lower in states where citizens are packin’. It has always puzzled me why Leftist feminists are so anti-gun. If my wife is approached by a mugger in a dark parking lot, I want her armed with a gun, the perfect equalizer.
Outrageously, Leftists inferred that the murdered country music fans at the Vegas concert deserved to die because they were probably gun owners and Trump supporters. Imagine the 24/7 media firestorm Leftists would launch had a conservative made a similar comment about murdered hip-hop concert goers and Obama supporters. Clearly, Leftists/fake news media believe the lives of people who disagree with them do not matter.
The Homosexual Night Club Massacre in Orlando:
Leftists exploited the night club massacre to further their homosexual agenda. The shooter had ties to Islam. Insidiously, Leftists attacked Christians and gun owners, blaming them for the deaths. Leftists said everyone who opposes homosexual marriage is responsible for the massacre. Leftists said everyone who is against men using girl’s restrooms is complicit in the mass murder. Leftists’ massage was you had better embrace the rainbow symbol or we will brand you a rabid hater who supports murdering homosexuals.
The Michael Brown “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” Lie:
This lie by far is Leftists’ most satanically evil attack on human lives; our brave men and women in blue. Evidence confirmed and the grand jury concluded that Brown was shot while reaching inside the police car attempting to take the officer’s gun. Brown’s blood was found inside the police car. Brown was not shot while surrendering with his hands up. And yet, this lie which has led to police being ambushed and assassinated across America continues to be promoted by Leftists.
I could not believe my eyes watching the Grammy Awards feature a huge musical production number based on the “hands up don’t shot” lie. The Leftist producers of the awards TV show intentional infected millions of black youth’s minds with vitcimhood-ism and hatred for America’s police. Why? To further Leftists’ goal of the federal government taking control of every state’s police department.
Issues Plaguing Black America:
With blacks murdering each other in record numbers in urban cities controlled by democrats, why are Leftists outraged whenever anyone sincerely addresses this issue? Black lives only matter to Leftists in the furtherance of their agenda. Blacks are aborting themselves into extinction. Orchestrating America’s black genocide is Leftists’ Planned Parenthood which targets black babies. Leftists want as many babies aborted as possible to “save the planet.” Leftists attack any talk of blacks pulling themselves up by their boot straps. They need blacks suffering, viewing themselves as victims of an eternally racist America.
Democrat policies destroyed the black family which is the source of the problems plaguing black communities. And yet, Leftists have conned blacks into believing their only shield against racism is loyally voting for Democrats. Consequently, blacks are suffering more in urban cities than they were when I lived in the Baltimore projects 50 years ago. Black seniors terrorized by thugs are locking themselves in their homes. Far too many black youths are having babies out-of-wedlock, dropping out of school and murdering each other.
Leftists seek to destroy self-reliant extremely successful blacks because they want to keep blacks dependent on government. Isn’t it strange that Leftists hate black Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, black businessman extraordinaire Herman Cain and black retired neurosurgeon Dr Ben Carson?
The blacks I named undermine Leftists’ lie that blacks cannot succeed without lowered standards, special concessions and government intervention. Justice Thomas, Cain and Dr Carson achieved success competing with whites as equals. These blacks achieved success the old-fashion way. They earned it. Do Leftists really care about black lives? Absolutely not.
Leftists view everything and everyone through a lens of exploitation to further their agenda.
It was easily predictable that Hillary would exploit the Vegas massacre to further Leftists’ gun grab. She politicized the massacre while cautioning gun owners not to politicize the massacre. Using her evil forked tongue, Hillary demanded more gun controls, ignoring the fact that no gun law would have stopped the shooter. In typical Leftist fashion, Hillary played on peoples’ emotions to overrule the Constitution to end American’s right to bear arms. Thank God this despicable Leftist zealot is not our president.
