Here’s How ESG Affects You, The Average American

The trend of Environmental, Social and, Governance (ESG) investing has recently come under the microscope. When retirees and pensioners see lower returns on investments, they are not keen on prioritizing woke politics over sound financial returns — assuming they ever had a meaningful chance to weigh in. Much of the discussion involving this type of investing focuses on the investor class, but the consequences of ESG are far-reaching.

It’s hard to connect these dots. ESG is designed to confuse and disorient the average American, preventing them from understanding how it works, its impacts, and who is actually calling the shots. This proves convenient for the woke elitists at the top — and even the willing ones in the middle — that such a system helps avoid any direct accountability. But increasingly, public interest groups alongside the Republican majority in Congress are shining some much-needed light.

Bill-payers, mostly women, are at the frontlines of ESG’s high-cost impacts. The E prong — or environmental standards — coerce compliance with “net-zero” policies that aim to phase out fossil energy like coal, oil, and natural gas by 2050. These energy resources currently provide 80% of the energy we need to fuel our economy and maintain our modern way of life. As a result, ESG is a contributing factor to the high gas and electricity prices that hit low-income households the most — forcing many to choose between food or electricity.

More broadly, one in six American families is currently behind on electricity bills. The cost for an average household has risen approximately $10,000 over the past two years. In addition to inflation, these costs are squeezing regular folks and making it virtually impossible for low-income Americans to ever cross the middle-class threshold. ESG is undoubtedly becoming a barrier to upward mobility.

The American entrepreneur is also impacted. ESG makes realization of the American Dream contingent on acquiescing to the demands of the woke Left. And it doesn’t just target oil and gas. ESG is used by progressive activists to defund and constrain the growth of politically disfavored companies deemed “bad” by ESG standards — a rubric that is constantly changing. To date, this includes firearms manufacturersanimal agricultureTesla, and even chocolatiers that aren’t woke enough. These misguided efforts create a range of perverse outcomes beyond lost jobs and economic growth for companies.

ESG is also a tool to advance the Left’s broader cultural agenda. The S prong, or social standards, force acceptance of policies with which many Americans disagree — including the average parent. Running into Target with your children means being bombarded with bizarre and wildly inappropriate “pride” celebrations. As a mother of two young children who are naturally drawn to rainbow or glitter anything, it became necessary to explain why Target attempting to cultivate this niche — a market for troubled youth being groomed by disturbed adults into hating their God-given, sex-defining organs to the point they will hide them, tuck them, and increasingly chop them off — is so upsetting. Given this, my family and I will shop elsewhere.

S-policies also include mandating non-gendered bathrooms at work, meeting race-specific hiring quotas, teaching critical race theory (CRT), and forcing support for a range of liberal campaigns like defunding the police and drag queen story hour. While these ideas are trendy among some progressive corporate leaders, polling reveals the majority of Americans oppose them and would prefer they be kept out of the workplace and marketplace.

A solid 51% of Americans believe bathroom use should match one’s biological sex. 43% of Americans believe CRT will worsen race relations compared to 23% who don’t. Latinos and Asians oppose critical race theory by a two-to-one margin. A whopping 73% of Americans oppose racial quotas in hiring, and 58% of Americans oppose defunding police.

There are also the numerous workers negatively impacted by ESG. Some analyses have found G, or governance, policies that prioritize checking superficial boxes, results in decreased viewpoint diversity. It also has the effect of suppressing speech for workers who may disagree with G policies but would prefer to avoid the wrath of the woke. Also concerning: some companies prioritize the marketing of diversity language while making a mockery of actual progress.

As awareness of ESG increases, so too does the opposition. This is why its most ardent defenders are pulling out all the stops to distort the truth about ESG and discredit those willing to point out the numerous, negative impacts. Whether it’s the bill-payer, the entrepreneur, the parent, or the worker, ESG is making life more difficult with policies that cause much more harm than any version of good.

Job board hosting only ‘non-woke employers’ gains popularity with viral video

By: Jenny Goldsberry, Washington Examiner, June 09, 2023:

A job board established after the pandemic is offering job hunters and employers a new niche market.

RedBalloon promises in its Instagram bio that its platform is “connecting serious job seekers with non-woke employers who won’t force employees to compromise their faith or values.” On its website, it promises employers that “finding the right employees shouldn’t be stressful” because “at RedBalloon, we start with values-alignment. Because if a job candidate doesn’t have the right work ethic, nothing else really matters.”

The company shared a video Tuesday poking fun at what some work cultures include. A variety of children are seen sharing what sort of job they want when they grow up, satirically saying they want to be hired “based on what [they] look like” and their “chromosomes” over their “skills.” The children pretend to look forward to a day when they are “offended by [their] co-workers and walk around the office on eggshells and have [their] words policed by HR.”

Chloe Cole: ‘Transition Surgery Was the Biggest Mistake of My Life’

No one talks about the victims of trans child abuse and mutilation.

Chloe Cole was celebrated by the transgender community after she decided she was born in the wrong body and had her healthy breasts surgically removed at age 15. During the post-operation process, Chloe began to regret her decision and had to come to terms with the irreversible damage done to her as a minor. She began speaking out against the very people who once celebrated her—and was met with vitriol and hate. Now, she dedicates her life to spreading awareness about the dangerous gender-affirming path society is barreling down.

Millions Losing Faith in Wannabe Dictator Biden’s Two Tiered ‘Justice’ System

‘Can’t vote our way out of this injustice’

Millions losing faith in our system over Trump-Biden divide: ‘Can’t vote our way out of this injustice’

By Michael Goodwin, NY Post, June 13, 2023:

Watching the Tuesday circus in Miami and listening to media poohbah pronouncements about the gravity of the moment, I recalled a conversation with a friend about the indictment of Donald Trump.

He repeated a phrase he had heard recently: “We’re not voting our way out of this.”

“This,” of course, is a reference to the great divide tearing America apart, and Exhibit A is a Democratic president’s willingness to use the Department of Justice as a weapon against his leading Republican rival.

There are many good reasons why no former president has ever faced criminal charges, and it’s not because they behaved as angels for the rest of their lives starting the minute they left office.

It’s because previous generations understood there had to be limits to the use of government power, or the country would tear itself to pieces every time the presidency changed hands.

But the far-left wing that has taken over the Democratic Party always knows best and believes it can cancel its opponents by shutting them up or, in this case, locking them up. As always with them, this time is different because they are morally superior people.

So while history was being made in a Miami courtroom, it’s the kind that inflames the political and cultural chasm while offering no solution to the millions who feel left out.

For many of them, Trump was the reason they had any faith in the political system at all.

To see him tripped up by a president and a Department of Justice they believe is rigged against the opposition only fuels their estrangement.

Their disgust suggests some possible meanings to the rest of phrase that “we’re not voting our way out of this.”

Biden State Dept. Engaging in ‘Ideological Colonialism’ with Worldwide LGBT Agenda: Report

President Joe Biden ramped up his LGBT advocacy this week with the largest celebration of Pride Month in White House history. Biden reiterated his unabashed support of the LGBT community, stating the community brings “hope and light” to society, and that its members “set an example for the nation and, quite frankly, for the world.”

According to a new Family Research Council white paper, Biden is certainly the LGBT community’s biggest cheerleader around the world. “The [Biden] administration has systematically elevated the importance of LGBT ideology in American foreign policy,” reads the report, “Exporting LGBT Ideology: The Biden Administration’s Foreign Policy Priority.” The paper, authored by Arielle Del Turco and Chris Gacek, notes the administration’s activist stance is reflected in the use of the “resources and platform of the U.S. government to promote LGBT policies abroad.”

“The mark of this ideological push is widespread, and the harms will be as well,” writes Del Turco, director of the FRC’s Center for Religious Liberty, and Gacek, director of Regulatory Affairs at FRC. “The Biden administration is choosing to use the institutions and mechanisms of U.S. foreign policy to promote sexual orientation and gender identity as human rights issues,” the paper notes.

“President Biden and his State Department are using your tax dollars to force this ideology on poor nations who are desperate for American aid dollars,” FRC President Tony Perkins said June 13, accusing the Biden administration of “engaging in cultural imperialism against countries that have no interest in flying the Pride Flag or redefining marriage or human sexuality.”

More often than not, these nations have traditional values, Perkins stressed, noting this blatant advocacy “flies in the face of what they believe and what they want for their children and for their country.”

An FRC assessment of the websites and social media platforms of U.S. embassies revealed the State Department actively advocates LGBT ideology. “In 2022 at least 132 U.S. embassies released Pride Month statements via social media or their website, at least 99 U.S. embassies flew Pride or Progress flags, and at least 49 embassies had staffers who participated in Pride parades,” according to the report.

In an appearance on “Washington Watch,” Del Turco said the contrast between the State Department under Biden and former President Trump is sharp. Under Trump, the State Department was focused on pushing tenets of religious freedom around the world, including speaking up for those being persecuted for their faith, she noted. “After President Biden came into office, I just saw all of that fall off,” Del Turco said, noting the emphasis flipped to pushing LGBT policies on countries around the world who have no interest in it.

The Biden administration is using the nation’s human rights apparatus to condemn other countries that have not embraced pro-LGBT policies like marriage and legal gender recognition, Del Turco said. “[The U.S. government] is being hypocritical by taking many of these policies the [U.S.] adopted very recently,” she added, noting different cultures do not appreciate this “ideological colonialism.”

Del Turco suggested the Biden administration is using these nations’ reliance on America’s foreign assistance as leverage “to coerce countries around the world to start adopting some of these radical LGBT policies.” In their research, she and the study’s co-author, Chris Gacek, discovered a “systematic effort to infect all aspects of American foreign policy with LGBT policies.”

There are policies equally offensive to many people of faith that might rival LGBT activism for the top spot in the Biden administration’s agenda, the pair acknowledged, citing the promotion of abortion and population control.

The white paper states it was during the Obama administration that LGBT principles began to be woven into America’s foreign diplomacy. The report notes that in December 2011, then-President Barack Obama issued a memorandum to cabinet and agency heads entitled, “International Initiatives to Advance the Human Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Persons.” The memo begins with this statement: “The struggle to end discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons is a global challenge, and one that is central to promoting human rights.”

According to Del Turco and Gacek, the presidential memorandum required all U.S. agencies working overseas “to ensure that U.S. diplomacy and foreign assistance promote and protect the human rights of LGBT persons.” The duo’s groundbreaking report provides ample proof that “LGBT rights are at the pinnacle of the administration’s State Department agenda.”

The report details the State Department’s seeming obsession with the promotion of LGBT ideology, noting at least nearly 50 embassies had staffers participate in Pride parades or marches last year, while U.S. embassies hosted Pride receptions, roundtable discussions, LGBT movie nights, or webinars with local LGBT activists. On National Coming Out Day, the Deputy Chief of Mission to the U.S. embassy in Luxembourg made a video telling his own coming out story. The U.S. embassy in India promoted a video of a young transgender-identifying activist.

As further evidence of the State Department’s commitment to promote LGBT ideology in other nations, Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a “first-of-its-kind” briefing to LGBT reporters in June 2022, telling the group he had consistently raised concerns about human rights conditions for LGBT-identifying people with Saudi diplomats.

Since Obama’s actions — and through each of the three most recent presidential administrations — the research reveals “permanent foreign policy bureaucracies appear to have become committed to advancing LGBT ideology and other social justice agendas under the guise of development and human rights policy.”

Yet the study’s authors state the Biden administration ramped up the promotion of the ideology. In issuing a memorandum entitled, “Advancing the Human Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Persons Around the World” in February soon after his inauguration,” President Joe Biden raised the prominence of the issue by tying it to “national security.”

The authors summarize the memorandum: “It shall be the policy of the United States to pursue an end to discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or sex characteristics, and to lead by the power of our example in the cause of advancing the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons around the world.”

More recently, the U.S. State Department applauded its own work in “promoting and protecting the human rights of LGBTQI+ people around the world through our diplomacy and foreign assistance” by releasing a 130-page document in April 2022, the white paper notes. The report, which the State Department labeled as a “first of its kind progress report,” acknowledged the U.S. government’s efforts to date, but insisted more needed to be done in this area: “It is clear we must be doing more, and we will continue to strive for additional progress.”

Del Turco told Perkins that she and Gacek know pro-family activists who are very disheartened when they see the U.S. embassy participating in Pride marches in their countries. “It sends a message that the strongest country in the world is marching through their capital city and supporting an agenda that condemns their laws,” she continued.

“It’s really, really condescending,” Del Turco lamented.

They note the push by the Biden administration is much more than an indication of the president’s concern for the rights of citizens in other nations: “LGBT-identifying persons are already, rightly, protected by international human rights treaties by virtue of their personhood, not their sexual orientation or gender identity. Pushing LGBT-specific policies around the world is a coercive attempt to change foreign cultures and laws from afar and displaces human rights like religious freedom.”

Space Force general admits access to gender surgery a bigger priority than accepting better qualified candidates

June 15, 2023 |

The U.S. Space Force has gone completely, unequivocally “woke,” as made evident at a recent Department of Defense “Pride” event.

During the event, U.S. Space Force Lt. Gen. DeAnna M. Burt spewed a bunch of “woke” nonsense about how she performs her job.

Listen:

“Transformational cultural change requires leadership from the top, and we do not have time to wait. Since January of this year, more than 400 anti-LGBT+ laws have been introduced at the state level,” she began.

“That number is rising and demonstrates a trend that could be dangerous to our service members, their families, and the readiness of the force as a whole,” she continued.

The so-called “anti-LGBT+” laws typically simply bar children from pursuing puberty blockers, transgender surgery, and other non-reversible procedures. It’s not clear what this has to do with the military and its readiness.

It’s also not clear whether it’s appropriate for a top federal government agent to criticize state laws that she appears to personally dislike.

Rural Virginia Parents Fight for the Removal of Pornographic Kids Books from Public Library

In a victory for a grassroots movement of concerned parents and citizens of a small town in the Shenandoah Valley of northern Virginia, the county Board of Supervisors has agreed to restrict the funds of a public library until an agreement can be reached on what to do with dozens of pornographic books for kids that were found there.

On June 6, hundreds of local Catholics and other concerned citizens packed a Warren County, Virginia Board of Supervisors meeting in Front Royal to make their voices heard in opposition to dozens of pornographic children’s books that were found on the shelves at the Samuels Public Library.

“This is not literature. This is smut,” one dad said after reading an excerpt about anal sex from “This Book Is Gay.” Another soon-to-be mom discussed the book “It’s Perfectly Normal,” which is aimed at pre-teens and includes cartoon depictions of naked couples in various sex positions as well as discussion of masturbation and abortion. “Ideally, funding the library is important, but a sense of decency is owed the community before funding is owed to the library,” she said.

The grassroots movement, which has become known as “Clean Up Samuels Library,” announced on Wednesday that the Board of Supervisors had agreed to address the concerns of the community during a meeting on Tuesday night.

“The Board of Supervisors appropriated 100% of the funding for Samuels Library, but restricted 75% of it until September while board members negotiate with the library about what to do regarding these books,” the group stated in a press release. “The funds will be in a separate bank account until a deal is worked out.”

“From what we can tell, it’s not looking like the books will be removed entirely,” the release continued. “Rather, the board is negotiating to move them to the adult’s section, and to place restrictions on who can access the adult’s section without an adult.”

In an exclusive interview with The Washington Stand, Thomas Hinnant, a community organizer in Front Royal, described how the movement got started.

“A local grandmother was at the library with her grandchildren, and one of her grandchildren, a four-year-old boy, went and found one of these books in the child section, and she was appalled,” he explained. “A group of local folks went into the library and started looking around and realized that this pornography was all over the place in the kid’s section.”

Hinnant continued, “From there, concerned citizens and parents came together … and [decided to] organize an afternoon where a bunch of [mostly] young parents look through these books and send in requests for reconsideration, which is the process that the library uses to evaluate books. Upwards of 450 requests for reconsideration were submitted, and everything that we got back were denials, and the appeals were denied as well. The library has chosen to hide behind the standards of the American Library Association, which are out of touch and out of step with the community consensus of Warren County.”

Front Royal, the seat of Warren County, is the home of Christendom College, a small Catholic university known for its adherence to orthodox Catholic teaching, as well as a number of other K-12 Catholic schools. A notably large population of Christendom graduates and other Catholics have settled in the area since the school’s founding in 1977. Despite being located relatively close to more liberal counties in northern Virginia, Warren County is deeply red, with almost 70% of the population voting Republican in the 2022 midterm election.

Hinnant further noted that while the movement was encouraged by the results of board meeting, their demands have not changed.

“We want the pornographic books totally removed,” he emphasized. “We want democracy in the bureaucracy. Our tax dollars are ours, and we do not want unelected and faceless bureaucrats spending them on pornography for children. We want that space reserved for the great classics and the great works and the many wonderful books that can be on those shelves. There’s a larger list that we’ve put together that we want put into an adult section … that largely involve sexualization of children, LGBTQ, etc. Some would quibble that it’s not exactly pornography. To us, anything that sexualizes a seven-year-old is pornographic in nature, but we’re willing to say this stuff can be moved to another section for now.”

The fight that has opened up in Warren County over controversial public library books aimed at kids appears to be a relatively new front in the broader nationwide battle which has centered on books in public school libraries. Hinnant told TWS that local communities have every right to demand that their values be reflected in how their tax dollars are spent, not just in schools, but in all other public institutions.

“We want a new standard,” he underscored. “We want cultural secession from the American Library Association and the hegemonic left-wing ideology that it represents, and we want community standards that represents the community consensus of an overwhelmingly conservative county. I think that if we were to do that, then those books would not be in the library anyway. … We are not backing down on any of our demands. We also want the leadership of the library to change and change swiftly. These people need to be held accountable for what they did. They fought tooth and nail to keep this pornography in our library, even though the clear popular will is not on their side.”

Hinnant went on to encourage other conservative communities across the country to take back their public institutions.

“We know that this is a roadmap for rural America,” he contended. “Frankly, for too long, conservatives have focused on elections, while well-trained and well-funded leftists have gone into these rural communities and essentially colonized them. We want to commence the decolonization of rural America, and that takes community organizing. That takes disciplined messaging, and that takes ‘We the People’ coming together to hold our elected officials accountable — and not just when the elections happen. We have to hold these bureaucracies accountable, because that is where the deeply-rooted colonization is, and that is where this cancer that rips through rural America is. This is a great example of a community coming together and standing up against this radical ideology that has truly colonized rural America, and they have done it under the cloak of darkness. And I think now people are finally starting to wake up to that. I hope that this will be a wake-up call to other folks in other rural areas.”

“We have got to take a stand here,” Hinnant concluded. “These elections are great, but if these folks are able to just run wild in our institutions that are educating our children, whether its schools, public libraries, anywhere that our public funds are being used, then it’s a problem.”

Remembering a 2015 OIG Report on Ethics Inside Our Government

Dave Powers, a long-time aide to the President, was a man without a meaningful job in the White House. He had the innocuous title of Special Assistant to the President, and his duties were mundane but pivotal. While on the road with the President, if the First Lady wasn’t present, one of his jobs, according to sources in the Secret Service and staff, was to prowl the streets of whatever city they were in and fetch the most attractive women he could find. It wasn’t unusual for him to bring back as many as three, walk past disapproving Secret Service agents, lead them to the presidential suite, and bid the Commander in Chief goodnight in his thick Boston accent.

The Secret Service and FBI Director Hoover (circa 1961-1963) were not amused at the time. They were fearful that pillow talk might compromise national security, a concern that survives today. It’s dangerous stuff, and it does happen. One slip and there was no telling who’d get hold of the classified whispers.

President John F. Kennedy’s womanizing was hardly a secret among the adoring press and even those who disapproved of his politics. They were noted but unreported. There was an unwritten “gentlemen’s agreement” back then that presidential dalliances were out of bounds.

Not so today; although those engaging in sexual interludes are not presidents (as far as we know), various law enforcement agents comprising national security through pillow talk are most foul.

DOJ Report of Sexual Misconduct in Law Enforcement

The House Oversight Committee had had a parade of Justice Department and other agency and department heads testify that while those in their charge had indeed poorly acted, especially when it came to illicit sex, they could not fire them. Instead, the agents would be sent home for two days to a week, then reinstated, security clearances still intact.

That comprises today’s punishment, save for serious offenses that can revoke a security clearance. Back in the 1960s, especially in the FBI, if Hoover got word of an agent’s hair being out of place, that agent would be assigned to northern Alaska and, at worst, fired on the spot.

To the person, when asked by Jason Chaffetz, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, why offenders identified in The Handling of Sexual Harassment and Misconduct Allegations by the Department’s Law Enforcement Components1 they had not been canned, each director or agency head testified that under current Civil Service laws not even they can fire an agent, not from the DEA, not from the Secret Service, not from the IRS or FBI, Short of committing a capital offense, firings seem to be impossible in Washington.

The bad actors were identified and questioned by checking through the OIG report assigned. Sins were uncovered with stiff resistance and often via heavily redacted documents. Chaffetz vented his spleen at DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart, according to The Blaze.2 “ [when she] testified at a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing after a damning Inspector General report said DEA agents used prostitutes in Colombia that a drug cartel in that country provided. The report also said the DEA didn’t fully cooperate in the investigation.”3

“This is a matter of national security,” Chaffetz said. He touched on the key findings: “The report highlights repeated sexual abuses including ATF training instructors sleeping with their students; using government vehicles to facilitate inappropriate sexual relationships, and managers sexually harassing employees and then asking them to watch pornography. The report also clarifies that when law enforcement engages in inappropriate and illicit sexual behavior, the agencies they work for often look the other way. To use the IG’s language, these cases of sexual misconduct are treated as quotes, local management issues, and end quotes. In other words, they’re swept under the rug.”4

He went on to say that the FBI and DEA tried to hide these incidents from their own Inspector General…and even told their employees not to cooperate. He explained that the IG asked the DEA to run more than 40 search terms to identify relevant information. “The three terms they ran out of forty included, ‘sex,’ ‘prosti’ and ‘exposure.’ Why exclude the search terms the inspector general is asking for?”

He then read the DEA head the riot act for submitted documents so heavily redacted that the IG couldn’t figure out what they were about.

Citing all of the agencies investigated, Chaffetz said, “It’s incumbent on the leadership of these law enforcement agencies to weed out employees who put our security at risk, embarrass the country and break the law.

“People make mistakes,” he continued, “but these weren’t simple mistakes. This went on and on, multiple reports of sex parties, of loud parties to the point that the landlord was complaining back to our federal government about how out of control these parties were,” he said, his tone incredulous.

He shook his head, saying, “It’s a sad day for the DEA.”

No, Mr. Chairman, it’s a sad day for the United States, and it demonstrates how government agencies and departments seem to find nothing wrong with debauchery. Is it any wonder why the rest of the world regards the U.S. with a highly-raised eyebrow?

The only and best way to rectify this ethically is to rewrite the civil service laws and grant agency and department heads the power to fire any agent who engages in these activities. Period.

FAIR Applauds House Homeland Investigation of Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for Dereliction of Duty

Washington, D.C. — The following statement was issued by Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) in response to the announcement by the House Homeland Security Committee that they are launching an investigation into DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for dereliction of duty:

“On February 2, 2021, Alejandro Mayorkas took an oath to ‘faithfully discharge the duties of the office’ he was about to enter. Two and a half years later, it is patently evident that not only is Mr. Mayorkas not faithfully discharging his duties as Secretary of Homeland Security, but that he never had any intention of doing so.

“As Secretary, Mayorkas has refused to carry out his duties to enforce our nation’s immigration laws or secure our borders, resulting in an unprecedented humanitarian and national security crisis. Moreover, he has openly defied numerous court rulings ordering him and his department to enforce those laws.

“His actions have empowered and enriched international criminal cartels that engage in the abhorrent trade of smuggling and trafficking human beings, often with tragic consequences. Additionally, those cartels smuggle lethal narcotics, responsible for the deaths of more than 100,000 Americans each year, across the borders he refuses to protect. At the same time, his defiance of our laws and his oath of office are imposing unsustainable burdens on communities all across the United States, costing American taxpayers additional billions of dollars.

“All the while, Secretary Mayorkas has lied to the American people, and under oath to Congress, by repeatedly declaring that our borders are under control, even as the people who work for him concede they are not.

“It is time for Alejandro Mayorkas to be held accountable for his dangerous dereliction of his duties and his oath of office as Secretary of DHS. We commend the House Homeland Security Committee, which has direct oversight of his department, for initiating this investigation into his actions. If the Committee concludes that he is in dereliction, the next step must be to begin impeachment proceedings against him.

“The job of the DHS Secretary is to uphold our laws. Under Secretary Mayorkas, DHS has consistently subverted them.”

Republican Study Committee Moves To Revamp Long-Standing Welfare Programs

The Republican Study Committee’s Fiscal Year 2024 budget will propose amending key welfare programs, including several that provide cash directly to recipients.

The budget, excerpts of which were obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller ahead of its Wednesday release, directs all federal welfare programs to include work requirements and limits cash payouts to recipients. It also converts several programs into state block grants and eliminates marriage penalties throughout the welfare system.

“For too long, the Left has pushed Americans into dependency on government welfare programs. Strengthening work requirements for those receiving government benefits empowers individuals through a good job and raises them up from dependency to self-sufficiency,” RSC Budget and Spending Task Force Chair Ben Cline said in a statement to the Daily Caller. “People want to support themselves and their families rather than prolong their economic hardship. It’s time to get Americans back to work and leave the disastrous policies of President Biden and the Left in the past.”

Government handouts during and in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic have helped contribute to labor shortages, economists generally agree. COVID-19 relief packages initially gave recipients a $600 supplement to their unemployment insurance, effectively an increase of $15 per hour. Many Republican-led states ultimately rejected the American Rescue Plan’s unemployment expansion, and their job numbers rebounded faster than those states that maintained the expansion.

The RSC budget would cap unemployment insurance payouts at the recipient’s previous salary level. It also mandates that work-eligible recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families actually be employed. The current structure of the program requires states to meet a certain workforce participation rate in order to receive funding that they can then distribute. The RSC plan also prohibits states from using TANF funds to pay for other programs.

In addition to strengthened work requirements, the RSC budget also promotes marriage by eliminating tax penalties for married couples who access welfare programs and entitlements. Economists from across the political spectrum have noted that cohabiting adults living just above the poverty line receive more benefits from programs like Medicaid, SNAP, the Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit than married couples.

House Republicans are already gearing up for a protracted battle with the Senate and White House over the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations process. The Fiscal Responsibility Act set budget caps for FY2024 discretionary domestic spending at FY2022 levels, and limits FY2024 defense spending to a 3.3 percent increase. Some members, however, want to limit all discretionary spending to FY2022 levels, a goal House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and House Appropriations Committee chairwoman Kay Granger have said that they will pursue by writing appropriations below the Fiscal Responsibility Act’s caps.

Senators in both parties have argued for spending levels to be set at the caps, with Senate Appropriations Committee ranking member Susan Collins of Maine saying members would “go up to” the caps. Others, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, worry that a House budget would limit defense spending.

The RSC budget would cut spending by $16.3 trillion over ten years, according to an RSC aide, and reduce taxes by $5.1 trillion over the same period.

Radical LGBT ‘Pride’ Is Full of Extreme Violence

Over the last several years, the United States has seen a disturbing uptick in K-12 schools protecting the instigators of assault against other students in the name of solidarity with the LGBT community. Children are being abused in school bathrooms, and leftist school administrators and the liberal media are covering it up because it doesn’t fit their narrative.

We are living in a world where political agendas are often placed ahead of protecting innocent youth in their places of education. Just last week, Fox News reported the account of a 15-year-old girl from Oklahoma who was attacked and beaten by a 17-year-old male who identified as transgender in the girls’ bathroom.

The trans-identifying male not only violated the young girl but also violated state law, which directs students to use the bathroom designated by the gender on their birth certificate. The school was quick to defend its position, even though the male student had been targeting the girl previously, to the point of being searched by police for weapons. The girl had told school administrators that the trans-identifying student was in fact a male, but the school later claimed in a statement that it had no previous reason to believe the abuser was a male. Lawyers for the girl have pushed back, stating the school did know and are responsible for failing to pursue the matter.

Because of the school’s failure to investigate multiple red flags and comply with state law, a young girl was brutally beaten in the bathroom. In March, a school in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin came under fire when three 14-year-old girls complained to school administrators that an 18-year-old male student who identified as a transgender entered the communal shower in the girls’ locker room and exposed himself.

The school did not notify its Title IX coordinator, nor did it launch an investigation into the incident. According to a local report, the adult male had not been in the PE class with girls and they were surprised to see him in the locker room. The girls asserted they were aware the male identified as transgender and were uncomfortable with his presence, but they received no protection. According to the girls’ account, the male entered the shower space after them and proceeded to disrobe, exposing his male genitalia and commenting, “I’m trans, by the way.”

Regardless of how some folks feel about the issue of transitioning genders, everyone should recognize the moral and legal problems of a biological adult male exposing himself to underage girls. And, in this case, the emotional problems associated with it happening against their will. Protecting indecency and sexual abuse isn’t progressive, it’s regressive. For centuries, women and allies have been fighting for equal opportunities and equal protections. Permitting and protecting sex abusers and pedophiles (by definition) is a dangerous, illegal, and disgusting slope.

There are countless examples of young girls and boys being assaulted in places that would have traditionally been protected, such as changing rooms, bathrooms, and locker rooms. Instead of ensuring the safety of young girls, schools are allowing boys to enter private spaces and create an increased risk of harm and sexual abuse. All children should be protected from sexual aggression but instead, it’s often adult administrators who are protecting the assailants rather than the victims. Girls in particular are being beaten, sexually assaulted, and even raped in school bathroom stalls.

And what are schools doing? Preserving the abuser and delegitimizing the victims. Schools frequently and intentionally withhold the assault of minors from parents, and many of them are failing to comply with state and federal reporting laws. Why? To protect the supposed “minority” LGBT-identifying students who are perpetuating the violence.

And it isn’t just happening in our schools — there is an entire movement within the LGBT community that is promoting violence as a means of revenge. Just two months ago, a trans-identifying woman entered a Christian elementary school and opened fire, slaughtering three nine-year-old children and three staff members. Leading up to the shooting, a “Trans Day of Vengeance” had been planned. Following the shooting, a group called the Trans Revolutionary Action Network issued a statement JUSTIFYING the actions of the shooter, stating that “hate has consequences.”

This was met by support from other LGBT community members and allies, essentially asserting that the so-called suffering of trans-identifying individuals is bound to cause violence.

And the Covenant School shooter is not an outlier. In November 2022, an LGBT night club in Colorado Springs was attacked by a male who identified as non-binary. In Denver, a school was attacked by a gunman who identified as transgender, leaving one student killed and another eight seriously injured.

As Christians, we should not be surprised by the increased violence coming from individuals who refuse to recognize or fear God. And while they blame others, the truth is that rejection of God results in greater depravity. Solomon, the wisest man the world has ever known, described it perfectly: “Do not enter the path of the wicked and do not proceed in the way of evil men. Avoid it, do not pass by it; Turn away from it and pass on. For they cannot sleep unless they do evil; And they are robbed of sleep unless they make someone stumble. For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence” (Proverbs 4:14-17 NASB).

Leftist politicians and media have contributed to the radicalization of the LGBT movement. The ever-increasing instances of privacy violations, violent assaults, and death resulting from the outrage of the LGBT community cannot and should not be tolerated.

Accepting the beliefs of a person is one thing, condoning immoral behavior or violence is entirely different. Something must be done to stop the radicalization of LGBT individuals and to protect children in schools. Let’s begin by allowing God and morality to be taught and embraced by our culture. Obviously, this will require the church to be more intentional at fulfilling Christ’s call to be “salt and light.” Then, we must enforce laws that protect people from violent individuals, and stop children from being exposed to sexualized material or people against their will — and then purposefully hiding the details from their parents.

We are on the verge of losing the next generation. It’s time for biblical morality, common sense, and legal ramifications to be reintroduced to our culture. Let’s protect our children.

Top GOP Rep Says There’s Evidence The Biden Admin Released Migrants With Chinese Military Ties Into The U.S.

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green possesses evidence that some Chinese migrants that crossed the southern border illegally and were released into the U.S. under the Biden administration are connected to the Chinese Communist Party and China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA), he told the Daily Caller News Foundation during a press conference Wednesday.

The intelligence came directly from a Border Patrol sector chief, Green told the DCNF. Border Patrol has seen a roughly 393% increase in illegal Chinese migrants at the southern border, with 9,711 Chinese migrant encounters recorded between October 2022 and April.

“In terms of the verification that the individuals released into the United States have ties to the PLA came from a sector chief and I’ll leave it with that at this point. We have a classified briefing coming up in the very near future,” Green said.

China expert Gordon Chang recently expressed concerns of sabotage among Chinese migrants crossing the southern border in an interview with the DCNF.

“When I first saw that the surge in Chinese migrants, that’s the thought that came to my mind that these are either Ministry of State Security agents or Chinese military, who are coming to this country to commit acts of sabotage against the US,” Chang said at the time.

Green announced the revelation while presenting his evidence suggesting Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is guilty of “dereliction of duty” in his handling of the crisis at the southern border. Green’s committee released a report on Wednesday about its initial findings on a five-phase investigation into Mayorkas’ tenure, saying the probe will conclude in roughly 12 weeks.

“I believe that the major fault falls with Secretary Mayorkas,” Green said.

DHS defended Mayorkas’ leadership and handling of the southern border in a statement to the DCNF.

“Secretary Mayorkas is proud to advance the noble mission of the Department, support its extraordinary workforce, and serve the American people. The Department will continue to enforce our laws and secure our border, protect the United States from terrorism, and improve our cybersecurity, all while building a safe, orderly, and humane immigration system. Instead of pointing fingers and pursuing baseless attacks, Congress should work with the Department and pass comprehensive legislation to fix our broken immigration system, which has not been updated in decades,” a DHS spokesperson told the DCNF.

Delaware Supreme Court To Hear DCNF Lawsuit Over Release Of Biden Senate Docs

The Delaware Supreme Court is set to hear arguments Wednesday in a lawsuit brought by the Daily Caller News Foundation and Judicial Watch against the University of Delaware for the release of President Joe Biden’s Senate records.

The university claimed public funds were not used to support the papers, arguing the documents requested in the April 30, 2020 Freedom of Information Act requests filed by both organizations were not subject to release. The DCNF and Judicial Watch filed an appeal brief with the Delaware Supreme Court in January 2023 after the Superior Court issued an opinion siding with the university.

“No more obfuscation. No more excuses. It’s time for the University of Delaware to answer for its refusal to release Biden’s Senate records,” said Michael Bastasch, editor-in-chief of the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The DCNF requested agreements relating to the storage of 1,850 boxes and 415 gigabytes of records from 1973 to 2009, communications between university staff and Biden’s staff, log sheets of individuals who have visited the collection along with the records themselves.

“The sketchy secrecy on the Biden Senate records and his deal with the University of Delaware need to end,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “And President Biden could end the dispute by simply releasing the details about his Senate records. What is Biden hiding?”

The records could include information relating to Tara Reade, who accused Biden of sexually assaulting her while working on his senate office in 1993, or Hunter Biden, who is under investigation for alleged failure to pay taxes and lying on a federal firearms form.

The FBI searched the University of Delaware collection in connection with its investigation into President Biden’s handling of classified documents in February.

The DCNF and Judicial Watch initially filed the lawsuit in July 2020.
