This is us! A person age 65 or older has a net worth 47 times greater than someone under 35.

This commentary was received from a longtime international friend of ours. A thoughtful commentary indeed:

The typical U.S. household headed by a person age 65 or older has a net worth 47 times greater than a household headed by someone under 35, according to an analysis of census data released Monday. They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are “Baby Boomers getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and have grown old together. Yes, we are the ones some refer to as being over the hill, and that is probably true. But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration.

In school we studied English, history, math, and science, which enabled us to lead America into the technological age. Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days of telephone party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes. For those of you who don’t know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.

We are probably considered old fashioned and outdated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam. We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn’t fight for the Socialist States of America; we fought for the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag.

We know the words to the “Star Spangled Banner, America, and America the Beautiful by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only read in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America .

Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.

It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the “Hope and Change” which in reality was nothing but “Hype and Lies.” You youngsters have tasted socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found you don’t like it after all. You make a lot of noise, but most are all too interested in their careers or “Climbing the Social Ladder” to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the “Great Lie” in 2008 are now having buyer’s remorse. With all the education we gave you, you didn’t have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the ‘Kool-Aid.’ Now you’re paying the price and complaining about it; no jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom. This is what you voted for and this is what you got. We entrusted you with the Torch of Liberty, and you traded it for a paycheck and a fancy house.

Well, don’t worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2016 we took back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like, but we get where we’re going, and in 2020 we’re going to the polls again by the millions.

So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor our country, and thank God for the old geezers of the “Gray-Haired Brigade.”

Footnote: This is spot on. I am another Gray-Haired Geezer signing on. I will circulate this to other Gray-Haired Geezers all over this once great county.

VIDEO: Leaked ABC News Insider Recording EXPOSES #EpsteinCoverup “We had Clinton, We had Everything”

Project Veritas posted the above video and following commentary on the #EpsteinCoverup.

New York, NY: Today’s new video reveals how an ABC Good Morning America Breaking News Anchor, and 20/20 Co-Anchor had significant information regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged crimes years ago but was told by her superiors that the network would not run the story.

Some of the key findings of today’s video:

• “I’ve Had This Story for Three Years… (ABC) Would Not Put It on The Air” says Good Morning America Breaking News Anchor, and 20/20 Co-Anchor Amy Robach. “It Was Unbelievable… We Had – Clinton, We Had Everything…” • Robach: “We Had Her Whole Allegations About Prince Andrew…I Got a Little Concerned About Why I Couldn’t Get On.”

• Amy Robach Describes How She Interviewed a Woman Who Had the Courage to Come Forward “Years” Ago About Epstein: “She Had Pictures, She Had Everything. She Was in Hiding for Twelve Years. We Convinced Her to Come Out. We Convinced Her to Talk to Us.”

• Robach Details ABC’s Initial Response to Her: “Who’s Jeffrey Epstein? No One Knows Who That is. This is a Stupid Story

• Robach: “Now it’s All Coming Out … I Freaking Had All Of It…” (New York, NY) Newly revealed footage leaked by an ABC insider has exposed how network executives rejected allegations against Jeffrey Epstein years ago, even though there was content regarding the merit of those claims in-hand.

Amy Robach, ‘Good Morning America’ Co-Host and Breaking News Anchor at ABC, explains how a witness came forward years ago with information pertaining to Epstein, but Disney-owned ABC News refused to air the material for years. Robach vents her anger in a “hot mic” moment with an off-camera producer, explaining that ABC quashed the story in it’s early stages. “I’ve had this interview with Virginia Roberts (Now Virginia Guiffre) [alleged Epstein victim].

We would not put it on the air. Um, first of all, I was told “Who’s Jeffrey Epstein. No one knows who that is. This is a stupid story.”

She continues, “The Palace found out that we had her whole allegations about Prince Andrew and threatened us a million different ways.” Robach goes on to express she believes that Epstein was killed in prison saying, “So do I think he was killed? 100% Yes, I do…He made his whole living blackmailing people… Yup, there were a lot of men in those planes. A lot of men who visited that Island, a lot of powerful men who came into that apartment.”

Robach repeats a prophetic statement purportedly made by Attorney Brad Edwards “…[T]here will come a day when we will realize Jeffrey Epstein was the most prolific pedophile this country has ever known,” and Disgustedly Robach states “I had it all three years ago.” Project Veritas intends to continue its investigation into corruption in the Mainstream Media.

We encourage that Brave insiders at these organizations come forward with any information they have, so that the public knows what is really going on within these media companies.

VIDEO: The Vortex — Betrayal. In a thousand different ways.

TRANSCRIPT

With only a very few, very rare exceptions, one word describes what the U.S. bishops’ approach to the laity has been for the past half-century: betrayal. And it has manifested in a thousand different ways. And the sorry reality is there appears to be no end in sight to their betrayal.

We all sadly know the betrayal on the level of the liturgy, the devotional life, the education system, the malforming of so many seminarians, the influx of homosexuals into the priesthood and episcopate. All of that is well documented — and for the record, none of them seem to care about it in the slightest.  Even the ones you would think care are practically stone cold silent on it all.

For example, last week Church Militant broke the story that Newark Cdl. Joseph Tobin is spending archdiocesan money from the collection basket to pay this man, Sean Ryan, to be senior associate for operations, which supposedly is a position that makes the archdiocese function better as a business.

Tobin’s archdiocese’s official announcement of the hiring of the massively gay man includes the statement, “A Columbia University graduate, Sean brings experience and expertise in areas that include business strategy, government, education, public health, and organizational transformation.”

Maybe if the archdiocese is more concerned with business than salvation of souls, the move might make sense.  Oh wait — that is the case.

Tobin is one of the most homosexualist bishops in the United States, part of the reason he owes his meteoric rise in the episcopate to homopredator Theodore McCarrick and homopredator cover-up artist, the lying Donald Wuerl. Tobin, you will remember, housed Italian model Francesco Castiglione, a gay actor, according to various Italian sources, in his rectory under the explanation that Francesco was taking English classes at Seton Hall and had nowhere to live, unlike the other thousands of students who managed to secure housing. Suuuure!

This little gay network is revolting. No Catholic should put a dime in the collection plate of any parish in that twisted cardinal’s archdiocese. Financially starve the twisted, perverted clerics out of their homosexual lives.

But, of course, Tobin isn’t alone in his betrayal.

In the wake of the South Carolina priest’s refusal of Holy Communion to fake Catholic, pro-child-killing Joe Biden, Cdl. Timothy Dolan of New York struggled and twisted himself in knots trying to not support the action by Fr. Morey.

Dolan ducked and weaved — as he has multiple times in the past on this violation of Canon Law — presenting it as not a violation of canon law.

Then there is the case of Bp. Robert Barron’s betrayal of the faith by completely sidestepping the question of the necessity of Christ for salvation when asked point blank by Ben Shapiro on his program.

Barron dumbed the whole issue down and said Christ was the “preferred” way, implying of course, as any reasonable person would take it, that there are various ways to salvation.

And again, his Halloween opening prayer in front of Congress last week when he deftly avoided any mention of Our Lord’s name — as well as not making the sign of the cross, before or after — the politically correct “blessing” was in perfect keeping with his “never give offense” self-promotion campaign.

And this is the root of the half-century of betrayal. These men are afraid of men more than they are of God. And that means whatever measure of supernatural faith they may have once had has either evaporated, or nearly so.

Imagine for just a moment that Peter and the Apostles had approached preaching and witnessing to Christ like this sorry lot does. We wouldn’t be here today as believing Catholics if they had.

Endorsing sacrilege, refusing to assert the necessity of Christ, hiring out anti-Catholic homosexuals with Catholic donation money, covering up homopredation, stealing hundreds of millions, billions in payout for their crimes — you name it, there isn’t one single area of Catholic life, and not one single person who has been baptized, who has not been abused on some level by this wicked, narcissistic crowd of prelates.

Where was the uproar from them about the Pachamama garbage in Rome during the synod? Where has been the long-awaited denuncuation of James Martin’s perversion of Scripture and promotion of sodomy? You’ll wait until the 12th of never if you’re waiting for that because the truth is many of them likely agree with Martin.

Betrayal has been the hallmark of this dastardly crowd of wicked, weak men. Most of all, they have betrayed Christ.

But God is not mocked. Somehow, some way, Our Blessed Lord will rescue His Bride from the filthy hands of these spiritually murderous men, a brood of vipers if there ever was one. They better hope that Barron is right — which he isn’t — that we have a reasonable hope that all men are saved — which we don’t.

Think of everything the Apostles and countless others down through the centuries have suffered for the Faith, millions of martyrdoms to protect the purity of the Faith, hundreds of millions of self-sacrificial lives. What an insult to the Divine Majesty and justice to consider that on their present course, which we hope and pray they abandon, these men would receive the same reward as those who have gone before them.

Until this generation of wicked prelates has passed, and their progeny waiting in the wings is dealt with, faithful Catholics will have to simply live with the reality that betrayal is the order of the day. We are going to have to bake that into our spirituality — but not in a despairing way.

Our Blessed Lord will bring an end to this. One way or another, it will not be allowed to continue.

Iran, Hezbollah Use Mexican Drug Cartels to Infiltrate U.S.

Iran and its terror proxy Hezbollah are financing Mexican drug cartels, smuggling people into America and recruiting them (for pay) as sleeper jihadist cells.

The recruits are mainly immigrants to Mexico from the Middle East, mostly from Lebanon where Hezbollah is based.

The coordinated operation is part of Iran’s war on America.

While Iran and Hezbollah are known to be active in the drug trade further south in Latin America, many are unaware that Iran, through its proxy Hezbollah, finances money laundering operations and human smuggling through the Mexican drug cartels at the U.S. border.

The operation is founded on the known fact that the U.S.-Mexican border is easy to penetrate, with tens of thousands of illegal immigrants and asylum seekers from Mexico and other Latin American countries coming into the U.S. from Mexico every month.

In southern Chiapas in Mexico, there are Muslim communities. These communities are made up of Syrians and Lebanese who migrated to Mexico decades ago as well as recent Mexican converts to Islam. In addition, Islam is gaining a foothold and in southern Mexico, with indigenous Mayans converting by the hundreds.

These communities are funded in the Diaspora and all contain sleeper cells. With the help of Mexican drug cartels, they finance and traffic extremists to the United States.

Canada has also become their target after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lifted the visa requirement for Mexican citizens.

For example, Ayman Juma, a Lebanese citizen linked to Mexican drug cartels and involved in the drug trade in Latin America and Mexico, is a member of the Hezbollah. He is also associated with al-Qaeda.

Juma has smuggled tons of drugs from Mexico to the United States. The money made is partially used to fund terrorism, especially to prepare terrorist attacks against Israel as well as Hezbollah’s activities in America.

Hezbollah also managed to smuggle 200 illegal Lebanese immigrants through Mexico to America. All of them are part of a network of Iranian and Hezbollah supporters.

After his arrest, Mahmoud Youssef Kourani, a Lebanese citizen who infiltrated the United States through the Lebanese-Mexican smuggling network, admitted to the FBI that he spent part of his time in the United States to raise funds to support Hezbollah’s activities. His efforts netted $40,000 for the terror group.

According to what Korani also told the FBI, his brother is the head of Hezbollah’s military division.

The smuggling network is a clear example of the symbiotic relationship between the Mexican drug cartels and Hezbollah. Salim Bougader, for example, ran a Lebanese smuggling network in Mexico where he successfully brought in many enemies of the U.S. into the country.

For example, one of the many smuggled in by Bougader worked for a Hezbollah-funded television station that glorified suicide bombers and was part of an anti-American propaganda machine during the time when U.S. soldiers were dying while serving in the Middle East.

Hezbollah, in cooperation with Mexican drug cartels, also smuggles drugs to Europe and the Middle East, as well as to the United States. According to the U.S. Justice Department, it is obvious that Hezbollah views America as a source of funds for its operations.

Due to their partnership, it would be reasonable to assume that Hezbollah is also complicit with the Mexican drug cartels that are responsible for killing tens of thousands in Mexico every year in drug-related violence.

Although the United States has one of the most powerful intelligence services in the world and is not located in the Middle East, radical Islamic terrorism continues to threaten America — especially through Mexico, which has the largest border with America and one that is relatively easily to penetrate.

This leads one to the conclusion that, at the very least, a border wall is needed to protect the U.S.’ national security interests from the likes of Iran and Hezbollah.

Calling All Rosa Parks Americans

The insanity going on before our very eyes regarding Democrats’ and fake news medias’ latest campaign to impeach Trump over nonsense is infuriating millions of Americans. It is the equivalent of Adam Schiff flooding the airwaves with the lie that Trump stole his car and must be impeached for it. Meanwhile, Schiff’s car is parked untouched in his driveway for all the world to see. Ignoring the truth that Schiff’s car was not stolen, Democrats and fake news media cart out a dozen witnesses (whistle-blowers) who claim they saw Trump commit the crime.

This is exactly what is going on with Schiff’s outrageous claim that Trump committed impeachable crimes during his phone call with the Ukraine president. Schiff publicly read a bogus version of the conversation between Trump and the president of Ukraine. Trump brilliantly countered Schiff’s lie by releasing the actual transcript of their phone call. Ignoring the actual transcript, Democrats and their fake news media cheering section are still promoting the false narrative 24/7 that Trump must be impeached for what Schiff claims Trump said on the phone call. This is in-our-face arrogant corruption.

Behaviorally, Schiff, Democrats and fake news media are saying we’re kickin’ your president out of office and there ain’t nothing you smelly Walmart-shopping Trump voters can do about it.

I received an expletive-filled ranting phone call from a businessman friend in California. He was livid watching Pelosi, Schiff and their fake news media minions on TV arrogantly promoting a false picture of Trump while seeming to get away with it. He kept screaming, where are the ******* Republicans on our side who are fighting back? I talked him down from throwing a brick through his TV. My friend’s frustration and anger is felt by millions; outraged that Democrats and fake news media are attempting to use nonsense to disenfranchise them, reversing their decision to elect Trump.

The Democrat Party, fake news media, ANTIFA, the Southern Poverty Law Center, Black Lives Matter, and LGBTQ enforcers are nothing more than anti-American and anti-Christian hate groups. They have launched a no-holds-barred war on traditional Americans. They have zero tolerance for any opposition to them transforming America. Along with social and financial destruction, opposing them could cost you your life.

Black civil rights hero Rosa Parks was an excellent example of courage. Tired after a long day at work, Rosa took a seat in the front of the public transit bus, ignoring the mandate that blacks must sit in the back. When ordered to give up her seat to a white passenger, Rosa said, no. Folks, we need thousands of Rosa Parks Americans who refuse to be bullied by the anti-American mob.

I salute Jaelene Hinkle, an outspoken Christian on the US national soccer team. Jaelene is a perfect example of the courage we need to see displayed across America. When ordered to wear a “rainbow” jersey honoring homosexual pride, Jaelene said, no. Wisely, Jaelene said, “If you live for people’s acceptance, you’ll die from their rejection.”

Courageous outraged parents across America are protesting drag queens reading homosexual indoctrination stories to their kids in public libraries. So what does Kaiser Permanente do? They featured a drag queen reading to children in their commercial. Why would Kaiser do that considering that you could fit all the drag queens in America in a phone booth? Clearly, this is another major corporation saying, screw you, mainstream Americans. In essence, Kaiser is saying, we’re cramming the normalization of debauchery down your throats whether you like it or not.

For years, I warned of LGBTQ enforcers’ hidden scheme to force us to celebrate their anti-biblical lifestyle, while portraying themselves as victims who only desire tolerance. People laughed and called me paranoid. Today, if Democrats win the presidency, HR 5, the deceptively named “Equality Act”, will become law. It mandates that every American kneel in worship to LGBTQ perversion. Christians are already being thrown into jail and run out-of-business for saying no to LGBTQ enforcers demanding that they betray Jesus.

LGBTQ enforcers ignore dozens of bakeries who would gladly make a cake for their same sex wedding. They bang on the door of the Christian baker and demand that he bake the cake for their homosexual wedding or suffer dire consequences. Obviously, this is not about acquiring a cake. It is about punishing and forcing Christians to surrender to their LGBTQ false god. Because of its condemnation of homosexuality, legislation is underway to ban the Bible by declaring it hate speech.

Nervous Nancy Pelosi knows she cannot successfully impeach Trump. She would need the votes of 67 senators and that ain’t happenin’. So her game plan is to use her fake news media minions to deceive the American people. They will promote the lie 24/7 that Trump has been or should be impeached. Pelosi hopes to kill Trump’s presidency via death by a thousand cuts.

Mary Kay Ash of Mary Kay Cosmetics said, “The speed of the leader is the speed of the gang.” In other words, leadership flows from the top down. Trump is a leader like no politician before him. His courage should inspire all of us who love our country to courageously stand up for principles and values which have made her great. Just say no to anti-Christian and anti-American traitor’s bullying demands. Spread the good news about what Trump has done and is doing to keep America great.

My enraged California friend passionately said, “We must save our president!” I am doing my part by writing articles, campaigning for Republican candidates, and touring singing my new Trump Train 2020 song. I guarantee my song will pump you up!

Debunking the Myth of ‘Concealed-Carry Killers’

UPDATE: Click here for an Infographic on Burglary Statistics by Safety.com.

The Violence Policy Center—a gun control advocacy group—released a study last month it wrongly claims shows that “too many concealed-carry permit holders are a direct threat to public safety.”

That claim rests on an analysis of a database documenting “non-self-defense incidents,” which the organization says proves that “allowing random people to carry guns endangers public safety.”

On its face, that claim is contrary to the wealth of data indicating that concealed-carry permit holders are one of the most law-abiding populations in the nation.

Moreover, concealed-carry permit holders are not “random people,” but individuals with the government’s affirmative approval to carry a concealed firearm in public places after having completed a series of steps required by the government.

The demand for socialism is on the rise from young Americans today. But is socialism even morally sound? Find out more now >>

It’s hardly surprising, then, that the Violence Policy Center claim falls apart when even the slightest bit of scrutiny is applied to it.

Not only is the claim based on a grossly misleading characterization of what the database actually captures, but the numbers from the database flatly contradict the Violence Policy Center’s claim that America’s 18 million concealed-carry permit holders represent a serious risk to public safety.

That’s particularly true in light of the role permit holders play in actively protecting themselves and the public from violent crime.

The Study Grossly Mischaracterizes the Data

Beyond the immediately suspect nature of the Violence Policy Center’s claims, the database erroneously includes many deaths that are not attributable to the misuse of a concealed-carry permit.

The anti-gun group defines “non-self-defense incident” to include virtually any fatality involving a concealed-carry permit holder, including ones that do not remotely resemble the type of intentional homicide evoked by the Violence Policy Center’s strong claims about public safety.

For example, roughly 40% of the deaths (534 of 1,335) are suicides. While tragic, firearm suicides are not what a term like “concealed-carry killer” brings to mind.

Moreover, analysis of the remaining “non-self-defense” deaths also belies the group’s use of the term.

The Violence Policy Center includes many fatalities where the shooter’s concealed-carry permit was irrelevant because he or she did not carry a concealed weapon in public while perpetrating the crime.

For example, the database includes a Nov. 11, 2008, death where a permit holder fatally shot her husband in their own backyard, and a June 12, 2012, death where the permit holder fatally shot his wife while she slept in their own bedroom.

Had their respective states never issued a concealed-carry permit to a single person, these shooters still would have been in lawful possession of these firearms inside their own homes.

Also of dubious inclusion are at least 10 cases that involve someone other than the permit holder using the permit holder’s firearm, and a number of cases where the individual’s permit either should have been suspended or was actually suspended under state law at the time of the death.

Finally, despite the Violence Policy Center’s claim that it only analyzed non-self-defense shootings, in 72 of the 801 homicide deaths included in the database, the shooter’s claim of self-defense is still pending in court.

In other words, the anti-gun group has preemptively convicted those parties before a jury has had the opportunity to determine whether they acted in lawful self-defense.

The Data Paints a Different Picture

As a result of the report, the Violence Policy Center’s legislative director stated that “concealed-carry killers continue to claim innocent lives at a shocking pace.”

The only shocking thing about the pace of crimes committed by concealed-carry permit holders is just how slow it is compared with the statistical expectation.

According to the data, America’s 18 million concealed-carry permit holders accounted for 801 firearm-related homicides over a 15-year span, which amounts to roughly 0.7% of all firearm-related homicides during that time.

That percentage drops even lower if any of the defendants in the 72 cases still pending in court are determined to have acted in lawful self-defense.

Since 2007, when the Violence Policy Center started tracking these concealed-carry permit holder deaths, there has been a 304% increase in the number of Americans with a concealed-carry permit.

At the same time, the national violent crime and homicide rates in 2018 were actually lower than they were in 2007, and substantially lower than their historical highs in the early 1990s, when far fewer Americans had concealed-carry permits.

Similarly, despite the anti-gun group’s claim that concealed-carry permit holders represent a severe danger to law enforcement officers, the data indicates that they are accountable for a disproportionately small number of law enforcement deaths.

The FBI recorded 608 law enforcement officers who were killed in “felonious acts” between 2007 and 2018. According to the Violence Policy Center, 18 concealed-carry permit holders killed 23 law enforcement officers during that time.

That accounts for roughly 3.7% of law enforcement officer felonious deaths, even though concealed-carry permit holders account for 5.5% of the population.

Just as with non-law enforcement deaths, many of the cases the Violence Policy Center includes as law enforcement officer deaths involve scenarios where the killer’s status as a permit holder played no role in the crime.

In fact, by our count, only 10 of the 24 law enforcement officer deaths between 2007 and the time of publication involved permit holders actually carrying concealable firearms in public places.

For example, the database includes the case of Ryan Schlesinger, who in November 2018 used a rifle from inside his own home to kill an officer in Tucson, Arizona, serving him with an arrest warrant.

The concealed-carry permit was not only completely irrelevant in that situation—one does not need a concealed-carry permit to lawfully possess a rifle inside one’s home, nor is a rifle a “concealed carry” weapon—but Schlesinger was prohibited under state law from possessing firearms.

Even if his permit was, through some technicality, still “valid” under state law, the permit would have been automatically suspended upon his arrest for a felony.

Concealed-Carry Permit Holders Regularly Save Lives

As we have often noted, Americans defend themselves with their firearms between 500,000 and 3 million times every year.

It’s unclear how many of these defensive gun uses involve concealed-carry permit holders carrying in public places, but our own records show that concealed-carry permit holders can and do save lives.

Consider the following recent examples:

  • Sept. 27, Redding, California: A concealed-carry permit holder helped stop a kidnapping after it became clear to him that another customer at a gas station was holding a woman against her will. The man had kidnapped the woman earlier in the evening, and the permit holder, noticing the woman’s clear distress, confronted the man and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.
  • Sept. 19, Miami-Dade County, Florida: An armed good Samaritan with a handgun concealed in her purse intervened to stop a brutal robbery and assault occurring outside a Popeyes restaurant. The woman drew her weapon and fired at a man who was pummeling a helpless victim lying on the concrete, sending the attacker fleeing.
  • Sept. 3, Coshocton County, Ohio: A concealed-carry permit holder stopped a knife-wielding man who was threatening customers and employees at a McDonald’s fast-food restaurant. The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office later posted on Facebook: “Due to the heroic actions of [the permit holder], deputies were able to take the suspect into custody without injury or loss of life.”

Moreover, concealed-carry permit holders have intervened to stop many scenarios that likely would have turned into mass killings but for their actions.

For example, on Feb. 13, a permit holder in Colonial Heights, Tennessee, was deemed a “hero” by local police after he prevented a deadly encounter at a dentist’s office from turning much worse.

In the end, the Violence Policy Center’s database does nothing more than confirm that concealed-carry permit holders are, on the whole, incredibly law-abiding, and that allowing more Americans to exercise their constitutional right in more places does not result in a serious threat to public safety.

What Born-Again Kanye Might Do for America

What happens when one of the kings of pop culture gets born again and starts dropping hard truths on progressive culture?

We’re about to find out.

The internet has been abuzz lately over Kanye West’s latest album, “Jesus Is King,” which was released on Oct. 25. It’s his first album since his public conversion to Christianity. He says he was “radically saved” and delivered from spiritual bondage back in April.

Those who have listened to Kanye over the years expect profanity and sexual innuendo in just about every song. “Jesus Is King” is a radical departure from that.

The demand for socialism is on the rise from young Americans today. But is socialism even morally sound? Find out more now >>

In fact, the album draws such a sharp break from his past work that the Twitterverse is already speaking of the “Old Kanye” and “New Kanye.” That’s a fitting binary, given the biblical distinction between the old and new man.

Kanye says he won’t perform his old music anymore, at least with the old profane lyrics. He even admitted to asking his team to fast and abstain from premarital sex during their time working on his latest album.

So what’s the big deal about this album? Christian rap has been around for years, and I’d venture to say some Christian rap artists rival the talent of Kanye—though they’ve never enjoyed the same accolades.

This album is unique, though. What makes it such a big deal is who’s rapping, and who’s listening. Kanye is now dropping explosive truth bombs into the culture, and the whole world is listening.

Influencer No. 1

Kanye is a quintessential A-lister, boasting nearly 30 million Twitter followers, 21 Grammy Awards, and more than 140 million records sold worldwide.

His wife is Kim Kardashian. His home life is broadcast to millions of people through “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” a top-rated reality TV show.

Kanye rose to the top of the heap for two reasons: his extraordinary musical talent, and his contrarian nature as a man who pushes the boundaries of acceptable thought.

Now, he’s leveraging both of those attributes for the gospel.

Recent interviews show he’s not concerned about losing fans on account of his faith.

“I only fear God,” he said in an interview with BigBoy TV, adding, “I’ve been canceled before they had cancel culture. I’ve done been killed so many times on social media, and I’m still here.”

Kanye when asked about being afraid of losing his audience:

“The same people that are telling you that you can’t have a right to say who you’ll vote for, those people will be soon to take Jesus out of school…

Those people will be soon to remove Jesus…PERIOD…from America.”

So far, he’s proving himself right. “Jesus Is King” has reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and it’s beating his last release of “Ye” in 2018.

The Wokeness We Need

Kanye’s newfound faith has made him something of a renegade in the culture war. He’s now doing exactly what we don’t expect from a rap artist: speaking out against abortion, the loss of fathers in the home, and the removal of God from schools.

He’s even called out the depravity of mainstream hip-hop.

In that interview, he waved a red flag: “Wake up culture. Everyone thinks they’re so woke, but they’re following the rules of what woke’s supposed to be.”

Therein lies the power of Kanye’s critique.

Kanye sees political correctness as an emperor with no clothes, a zombie-like form of groupthink that leads people to speak, act, and vote against the truth and for an empty, bankrupt standard of virtue.

What he’s doing is calling BS on the spirit of our age. In place of it, he’s pointing us back to the God who made us, and toward a recovery of the things so central to human flourishing that we’ve neglected in the modern age: family, community life, and actual virtue.

In his album’s most controversial song, “Closed On Sunday,” he treats Chick-Fil-A as an avatar for what we need on a mass level: the drawing of boundaries to protect the most important things. You might even call it a kind of “Benedict option.”

In verse 1, he dethrones culture and confesses his allegiance to Christ:

Follow Jesus, listen and obey/No more livin’ for the culture, we nobody’s slave.

And then the chorus:

Stand up for my home/Even if I take this walk alone/I bow down to the king upon the throne/I know that I am no longer my own.

I draw the line, it’s written in the sand/Try me and you will see that I ain’t playin’/Now, back up off my family, move your hands/I got my weapons in the spirit’s land.

These are the words of a husband and father standing up to the lies of libertine culture, lies he has bought into and even helped propagate for years. He knows the damage they bring and the threat they pose to his kids. So he says “no more.”

And so should we.

This is wokeness in the truest sense—being wide awake to the unique threats that our homes, families, and our very souls face in the modern world.

Kanye has always been ahead of the cultural curve. He’s been at the forefront of culture-making for years. If he’s become disenchanted with the state of our culture, perhaps his millions of followers aren’t far behind.

If so, Kanye may just be the voice our culture needs to lead it out of its present dysfunction. He’s only 42. It will be exciting to watch.

Even More Political Correctness

For some time we have witnessed how political correctness has affected our speech, manners, even our senses of humor and history. We are asked to forget everything taught to us as it was undeniably wrong, at least according to the far left. Normally, such antics would be dismissed as silly, but then again, there is a subliminal agenda underway here. Two recent examples remind us of how strange it is becoming.

For many years, the expression “okay” was considered a quick way to verify something was satisfactory and ready to go. The question, “Are you okay?” would normally be answered with a thumbs-up gesture or the “OK” symbol expressed by holding up your hand and having the tip of the index finger touch the tip of the thumb. The people at NASA used it for years during the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs, not to mention the Space Shuttle and other programs. The expression became so popular, just about everyone used it in all walks of life.

This all changed recently as “OK” is now considered an expression of racism, and as iconic as the one finger salute. Today, the Left contends the hand gesture is a symbol of “White Power” as the three fingers are alleged to represent a “W” (for White), and the thumb/index finger connection represents a “P” (for Power); “White Power.” I don’t know who exactly dreamed this one up, but it is a real stretch of the imagination to do so.

We may laugh at the use of this symbol as a mark of white supremacy, but an actor at Universal Orlando didn’t find it amusing when it cost him his job. The actor, who remains unidentified, was dressed in character and made the “OK” symbol while standing behind the back of a biracial girl in a photo on the set of a movie. Universal confirms the story. In addition, the Anti-Defamation League updated its data base of hate symbols last week with the “OK” gesture.

Frankly, I never realized NASA was so racist. 😉

Next, we recently learned the use of mathematics is racist. Calling it “Weapons of Math Destruction,” Dr. Cathy O’Neil, a mathematician from Harvard, contends math, particularly statistics, has been used extensively to regulate blacks by whites. As such, math is used for discrimination and therefore is evil. She explains this in a recent YouTube video. This one is particularly hard to swallow, maybe it is her green hair that is at the root of all this.

I saw an interview on Tucker Carlson recently where another liberal defended the notion of math being used for racist purposes, but took it further by contending all whites are, by definition, racists. I was confused by this as she was white as well. Perhaps she meant all liberals are nuts for suggesting such an idea.

All of these taboos are getting out of hand and I wonder when it will ever stop. Probably never.

The next thing you will hear is that expressions such as “please” and “thank you” denotes racism as it suggests subservient behavior towards others thereby creating a master/slave relationship. In this case, they are mistaking simple manners with racism.

So, is political correctness “OK” with you? Oy!

CHANGED: Former gays against the Democrat’s ‘Equality Act’ — ‘Sexual behavior should not be a protected right.’

“To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.” – Voltaire, French Enlightenment writer, historian, and philosopher.

NBC News’ Gwen Aviles in an article titled Ex-gays descend upon D.C. to lobby against LGBTQ rights quotes Kathy Grace Duncan, a member of Changed who formerly identified as a transgender man,

They’re [the Democrats] asking for certain rights in this legislation [the Equality Act – H.R. 3570/the Therapeutic Fraud Prevention Act], but these are rights that they [the LGBTQ+ community] already have.

Aviles goes on to quote Jim Domen, founder of Church United, who identifies as formerly gay,

“Sexual behavior should not be a protected right.”

Aviles noted,

Domen and Duncan claim that sexual orientation and gender identity are choices, and individuals displeased with their current status can “overcome” it through therapy and religious support.

I was cleaning out some old research materials and pamphlets about homosexuality from the Family Research Institute founded by Dr. Paul Cameron, headquartered in Washington, D.C. The Family Research Institute also created the Empirical Journal of Same-Sex Sexual Behavior website.

Replacing ‘sex’ with ‘gender identity’

The idea of same-sex attraction is an issue that is coming to the forefront. The U.S. Supreme Court has heard oral arguments in two cases involving LGBTQ rights. In an October 6, 2019 article Ryan T. Anderson wrote:

This week, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in cases that ask whether Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which bans employment discrimination on the basis of sex, extends to discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and transgender status.

It’s an odd legal argument, given that the public meaning of the word “sex” in 1964—and today, for that matter—refers to our status as male or female, not our sexual attractions, desires, actions, or identity.

That’s why progressive activists have been trying for the past forty years to get Congress to pass laws that would add “sexual orientation” as a protected class, and it’s why they’ve been doing the same for “gender identity” for the past dozen years.

What does past research tell us about sexual orientation?

In the Family Research Institute 2007 Year End Report we find a reference to an article by Paul Cameron, Ph.D titled Teacher-Pupil Sexual Interaction: How Much is Homosexual? Dr. Cameron found:

In news stories in English across the world for 1980-2006, 902 teachers engaged in sex with 3,457 pupils. Teachers engaging in same-sex sex constituted 63% of perpetrators in Ireland, 62% in New Zealand, 60% in Canada, 54% in Scotland, 48% in Australia, 47% in England, and 35% in the U.S.; in smaller samples, homosexuals accounted for 71% of perpetrators in mainland Europe, 26% in Africa, and 13% in Asia.

Proportionately more same-sex sexual activity with pupils occurred in the West as compared to Asia and Africa. Most (54% of 810 male, 83% of 92 female) teachers violated only opposite sex pupils; 43% of perpetrators engaged in homosexuality; and 55% of victims were boys. Findings for each country or set of countries were consistent with U.S. studies based on superintendent report, principal report, self-report, and convictions indicating that a male homosexual is the most and a female heterosexual the least apt to have sex with pupils.

In a second 2007 report by Dr. Cameron titled Do Those Who Engage In Homosexual Sex More Frequently Rape and Murder The Underage? A Test Of Traditional Morality noted:

Traditionalists regard those who engage in same-sex sex (e.g., ‘homosexuals’) as immoral; psychiatric professional associations consider morality unrelated to participation in homosexuality. Frequency of committing a heinous crime – rape and murder of children — was examined as one empirical test of this disagreement. For 1980-2005, 668 stories about the rape and murder of children (<18 yr.) in 50+ major newspapers in the USA, Australia, Great Britain, Canada, etc. indexed by Lexus-Nexus were found: 202 (30%) involved perpetrators who engaged in homosexual sex (35% of
the 206 stories from 1980-1994; 28% of the 462 from 1995-2005).

Males constituted 96% and boys (<18 yr.) 6% of the 714 perpetrators. The 209 perpetrators who engaged in homosexual sex accounted for 364 (40%) of the 914 victims – 53.5 (9%) of the 600 girls,
and 310.5 (99%) of the 314 boys. About three-quarters of children victimized were <13 yr. In Britain, 30 (51%) of 59 stories involved homosexuality.

Fast forward to 2019

Today we find the Catholic Church, Boy Scouts of America and public schools in the United States and abroad are immersed in homosexual scandals.

Church Militant has been in the forefront in reporting on the “gay mafia” that now runs the Catholic Church. Watch: Sodomitic Filth.

Florida, the state in which I live, has seen a steady rise in the number of HIV/AIDs cases between 2013 to 2018. The Florida Department of Health HIV Data Center reports that the number of Floridians diagnosed with HIV has gone from 4,360 in 2013 to 4,906 in 2018. Florida currently has 119,661 individuals with HIV/AIDs living in the sunshine state. Health statistics for HIV, AIDS and HIV-related deaths in Florida can be found at this web link.

According to a December 12, 2018 report in the Wall Street Journal, the Boy Scouts of America may be filing for bankruptcy in the near future due to escalating legal costs related to lawsuits over how it handled reports of child sexual abuse allegations and child molester Scout leaders.

Public schools across America are now hosting “drag queen” reading hours for young children in libraries, much to the chagrin of parents who can’t opt-out.

Conclusion

The Family Research Institute in a 1992 pamphlet titled What Causes Homosexual Desire: Can It Be Changed concludes with:

Can homosexuality be changed?

Certainly. As noted above, many people have turned away from homosexuality — almost as many people as call themselves “gay.”

Clearly the easier problem to eliminate is homosexual behavior. Even as many heterosexuals control their desires to engage in premarital or extramarital sex, so some with homosexual desires discipline themselves to abstain from homosexual contact.

One thing seems to stand out: associations are all-important. Anyone who wants to abstain from homosexual behavior should avoid the company of practicing homosexuals. There are organizations including “ex-gay ministries,” designed to help those who wish to reform their conduct. Psychotherapy claims about a 30% cure rate, and religious commitment seems to be the most helpful factor in avoiding homosexual habits. [Emphasis added]

Today groups like Changed are making a difference in turning men and women away from homosexuality. The best way is to keep homosexuals away from our our youngest and most vulnerable – our children.

America’s Democrats Bow to Chinese and Soviet Marxism

“We are indebted to Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin for giving us a weapon. The weapon is not a machine-gun, but Marxism-Leninism.” – Mao Zedong

“The goal of socialism is communism.” – Vladimir Lenin

“A revolution is not a dinner party, or writing an essay, or painting a picture, or doing embroidery; it cannot be so refined, so leisurely and gentle, so temperate, kind, courteous, restrained and magnanimous. A revolution is an insurrection, an act of violence by which one class overthrows another.” – Mao Zedong

“Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.” – Vladimir Lenin

Voltaire, who died in 1778 in France said,

“To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.”

And just who rules over us?  Despite our populist President and Republican Senate majority, it appears as though the Democratic Socialists are running the country and have been for nearly a century.

Sometimes a seemingly innocuous situation can demonstrate to the world where many corporations’ true values lie, especially when they kowtow to Communist China’s big stick. Even the NBA has shown its colors in bowing to the Reds.  Daryl Morey, the general manager of the Houston Rockets, sparked backlash in China after tweeting support for the protests in Hong Kong.  He was immediately excoriated by Lebron James and others who knelt to Communist China over American freedoms, all for the love of money.

While Hong Kong fights for freedom from mainland China, America’s youth rally behind the communist Democratic candidates believing that utopia exists for everyone with socialism.

Comments from my previous article regarding the 1941 Lend Lease Act attest that some older Americans understand the extent of Soviet/Marxist espionage within our country.  A Vietnam veteran wrote this:

Reading your article infuriates me no end when I consider that I served six years in the USMC during the Vietnam era and recalled the mantra and government propaganda of how good people died in the swamps and jungles on the pretense of defeating communism while communism grew fat and sassy on American soil. As I told people many times, ‘Kill a commie in Vietnam you get a medal; come home and kill one on American soil and you get life in prison.’

The fact that they exist in our government, much less are allowed to exist, is an insult to every person who died or was injured in Vietnam.

I was saddened, and infuriated when I read Trevor Loudon’s latest article stating that Russia had to be saved from Hitler’s destruction.

Another comment was from Mary who is 80 years young:

I was just a child, but I remember my father talking about the Lend Lease Act as he read the editorial page at the breakfast table.  Every time the Act was mentioned, it was preceded by the word, ‘damned.’  Even though many years have passed, when I started reading your article, I knew full well what the Act entailed.  My father despised all those people surrounding Roosevelt and he would often allude to the fact that none of our allies ever paid back the money the U.S. lent them during WWI. Thank goodness President Trump understands the complexities of our entangling alliances.  I pray he is re-elected.

Bowing to Beijing

Brett Decker’s book, Bowing to Beijing, gives a clear picture of what Communist China is truly like.

China is “stealing technology, ripping off patents and trademarks, manipulating and even counterfeiting U.S. currency, breaking trade laws, misrepresenting military spending, selling toxic toys to American children, dispatching armies of foreign agents to influence U.S. politicians, testing U.S. resolve on sensitive diplomatic issues, purchasing stakes in our banks and buying up our land, taking control of Hollywood, nurturing U.S. commercial dependency on Chinese business, building a blue-water navy, expanding its nuclear arsenal, and hacking our computer networks.” (Page 6, Bowing to Beijing)

More than one million Turkic Muslims, the Uighurs (pronounced wee-grrs) have been put in detention camps in China’s western region of Xinjiang to “re-educate” them into communist converts.  The cruelty by the guards is rarely told, including gang rapes and medical experiments.

China’s government is more authoritarian than ever despite increased trade with America. It is not becoming more free and capitalistic as some experts believe. As we make China richer, and their military stronger, it is becoming correspondingly less free.

  • The Reds arrest and torture any with faith that is antithetical to Marxist atheism.
  • Reporters’ freedom is nearly non-existent…there is violent fear of reprisal.
  • Freedom of speech is non-existent, those who speak out disappear.
  • Freedom of assembly is verboten. Farmers, factory workers, white-collar professionals are mowed down if they dare to join in any mass movement.  Remember Tiananmen Square.
  • No one thrives without approval and active backing of their communist overlords.
  • Life is not respected, although the one-child plan has recently been removed.  The organs of executed inmates (dissidents) are harvested for transplants in the global market.  They refuse to recognize life and trample the rest of basic rights.
  • Criticism in any form is rejected and can end anyone who complains in prison.

Decker tells that the Penal Meat Market is very real.  A shot to the back of the head keeps organs intact.  The body parts of prisoners bring a tidy profit, and, “If you want a heart, kidneys, unlined skin, they’ll shoot a prisoner to order,” said two Chinese organ traders.

Forced labor for prisoners is a way of life, and they make products for the West.  They are padlocked in dormitories and forced to work up to 18 hours a day in subhuman environments.  Apple, IPods, Bluetooth accessories, Ikea products and Marks and Spencer clothing are just a few of the items made by slave prison labor.

In China’s officially atheist nation, being a Christian or believing in God is considered subversive.  There is and continues to be a savage campaign against Christians despite Christianity being the fastest growing religion in the People’s Republic, but militant government atheists are pushing back.  (Page 16-31, Bowing to Beijing).

Mao Zedong said, “Communism is not love, Communism is a hammer which we use to crush the enemy.”  This is what America supports as most-favored-nation (MFN) trade status for China.  In 2002, President George W. Bush granted permanent trade status to Communist Red China.

Western Complicity

Glenn Reynolds, Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of Tennessee wrote praise for Vladimir Bukovsky’s book, Judgment in Moscow, Soviet Crimes and Western Complicity.  Reynolds said, “Russian interference in Western politics has been in the news of late, but Bukovsky’s deep dive into Soviet era documents demonstrates that for much of the 20th century, since at least the 1930s, it was not paranoid fantasy, but cold, hard fact.”

Soviet dissident Vladimir Bukovsky spent twelve years in Russian psychiatric hospitals, prisons or labor camps.  The Soviet Union expelled him in 1976, but in 1992, he was asked to return to Russia as an expert witness at a trial against Boris Yeltsin.  He requested access to the Central Committee archives and copied and smuggled out thousands of pages before being discovered.  His findings were published in Judgment in Moscow in 1995 and translated in French, Russian and other European languages.

Cato Org.

His book documenting Western complicity didn’t find a U.S. publisher for almost 25 years.  It was finally published in English in May of 2019 by a small California publishing house. Bukovsky passed away in Cambridge, England on October 27th, 2019 at the age of 76.  Please read his bio, and Diana West’s eulogy for this great warrior for freedom.

Soviet Russia is no different than China, and Bukovsky proved that time and again.  He wrote, “Any sane person knows full well when he has entered into collusion with evil.” Bukovsky knew that engagement by the West with despots only leads to corruption, not freedom.  He wrote, “The voice of conscience whispers that our fall began from the moment we agreed to ‘peaceful coexistence’ with evil.”

When Putin became president, Bukovsky was quick to realize what this meant for Russia: the KGB was back.  Putin spent 16 years in the KGB before entering politics.  Judgment in Moscow tells of murder by Putin.

McCarthy was Right

  1. Stanton Evans’ book, Stalin’s Secret Agents, The Subversion of Roosevelt’s Government substantiates the pro-Red influence on American policy during the Cold War, and Blacklisted by History, verifies that the anti-anti-Communists won by destroying Senator Joseph McCarthy.

For recent documentation, one need only read Diana West’s book, The Red Thread which thoroughly connects Obama henchmen Nellie Ohr, James Comey, John Brennan and others to socialist/communist ideology.  West’s American Betrayal tells the whole sordid tale of three Soviet agents who influenced President Franklin Delano Roosevelt to pass the Lend Lease Act resulting in massive support of Soviet Russia during WWII over and above Great Britain and even our own country.

American Socialism/Communism

Today’s Democratic Party communists are pushing the same party line used by the Russian Bolsheviks and Mao’s Single Party State in China. Our history is being destroyed, education in America has become politically correct propaganda from kindergarten through higher education, free speech is censored despite the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights, unborn human babies are murdered daily now reaching over 60 million and states have legalized infanticide, the media constantly lies with impunity, and public decorum, civility and respect for property has disintegrated.

Democratic presidential candidates are spewing their proletariat utopia, which has influenced so many Americans who have never been schooled in American history or our Constitution. Shockingly 45 percent of young Americans prefer socialism, and even 26 percent of baby boomers agree.

We’ve all heard of progressive taxation, punishing the wealthy by taxing them at higher rates, and wealth redistribution via “earned” Income Tax Credits, the only venue program fund to be considered a high risk for improper payments.

American History

It’s been sixty years since American high schools taught our history, our Constitution, the American Revolution for independence and how our founders fought for freedom.   Mao Zedong’s revolutionary takeover of China in 1949, expelling Chiang Kai-shek’s Nationalist Party to Taipei, Taiwan and destroying the history of the Republic of China and the Qing Dynasty is now happening in America.

Protestors on the small island of Taiwan do not want Red Chinese mainland in control. They wave American flags, show pictures of President Trump, and sing our national anthem.  Their call is freedom!

Political correctness is blinding the eyes of our young.  Schools have been renamed because they were previously named to honor Civil War generals such as Stonewall Jackson and others.

American statues of southern veterans are destroyed, without even a glance at their true history.  Robert E. Lee is vilified despite the fact he gave freedom to inherited slaves ten years before the war, and that his wife taught black folks to read and write, against the laws of the time.

General Nathan Bedford Forrest rode with Tennessee’s sheriffs to disband the KKK and was vilified while on stage, when he kissed a black woman’s cheek.  Remember too that his black servants, not slaves, chose to go with him to war.

We are not only revising our history, but we are destroying it…just as Communist China has done since 1949, and as Russia did before them after the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution.

American Education

For more than a century, American education has been watered down.  Decades ago, phonics was eliminated in the first grade of our government schools, Latin was eliminated in our high schools.  Even cursive writing has been eliminated, although a few states have brought it back.  Today’s education from kindergarten to post graduate degrees is nothing but leftist (communist) propaganda.  By the late 1800s, academic basics were being slowly eliminated.

Common Core socialist education is rampant.  Children come home telling their parents they’ve ruined the world, that climate change is real, that socialism is good, that collectivism is wonderful and all people will be equal.  Christianity is verboten, but Islam is taught and girls are even dressed in hijabs.  Our colleges and universities are loaded with communist professors and the students are radicalized. Individualism is hated.  Millions of Americans are functionally illiterate and 20 percent of high school graduates can’t read.

Chinese children are taught to excel in math, science, technology, engineering, etc., but they are fed the Marxist propaganda. Kindergarten students in Communist Red China are forced to sign away their religious beliefs.

American education today is a carbon copy of the propaganda sold to children in communist countries like Red China and Soviet Russia.

Baby Murder

There’s little difference between China and America’s love of abortion and infanticide.  The “Dying Rooms” of China are similar to the dying rooms of America.  In both countries unborn children are murdered daily by the thousands, but the reality is that like China, born alive infants of abortion are left alone to die.

When Obama was in the Illinois legislature, he voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act (BAIPA) several times.  He preferred they died alone in back rooms after they survived murder by their mothers.

The transcript from the 1995 BBC television documentary tells the story.  Chinese infants who were about one year old, or even younger, were tied to beds at night to die. Once, an infant’s fingers and hand were eaten by rats. We’ve moved into that ungodly, evil realm.

Infanticide in America has been greenlighted. Attorneys for David Daleiden submitted a closing argument brief detailing that live births are occurring inside the abortion facilities and that these newborns are routinely killed and their organs harvested while still alive.   Link

California’s Governor Newsom has signed a bill mandating free abortions at colleges and universities.

Marx and Satan

There is no doubt that social media is censoring everything conservative, and everything that pertains to our once proud Judeo-Christian heritage.  Christianity was long ago tossed from our government schools; it’s not allowed in much of anything anymore. Society is purposefully devoid of God.  Marxist doctrine is atheistic and hates the Creator. Voluntary Christian prayers are not allowed in schools, but mandatory Islamic prayers are okay.

China only allows versions of the Bible sanctioned by the state.  Children under 18 cannot enter churches, crosses have been removed, and many churches destroyed.  In America leftists and Hollywood depict Christians as fools who believe in fairy tales.

Here is a partial list of religious removals across America.  Atheists are the antagonists, and the Democratic Party has become the communist anti-God movement.

Conclusion

Pastor Wurmbrand’s book, Marx and Satan tells the story of what it’s like to be a Christian prisoner in communist controlled Romania. Wurmbrand was tortured for 13 years in and testified to our Senate what he suffered under Romania’s Nicolae Ceaușescu.

This must never happen to America.  We must stand for freedom, and having done all, to stand.  Ephesians 6:13 KJV

PODCAST: Why These Women Walked Away From the LGBT Lifestyle

Those struggling with same-sex attraction or hoping to walk away from a homosexual lifestyle may find some encouragement from Liz Flaherty and Elizabeth Woning, who both once lived a lesbian lifestyle.

While leading their own organizations to help individuals transition out of homosexuality, Flaherty and Woning are also a part of a growing movement called Changed—a supportive and loving community of those who once identified as LGBTQ+.

In today’s episode, we sit down with Flaherty and Woning to hear their stories and discuss some of the current legislation being advocated that could have detrimental effects on organizations that offer counseling services for those struggling with homosexuality. Read the lightly edited transcript, posted below, or listen on the podcast.

Virginia Allen: I am joined by Liz Flaherty and Elizabeth Woning. Liz and Elizabeth both lead or co-lead Christian organizations that work with people who are seeking to walk away from the homosexual lifestyle or who are struggling with same-sex attraction. Liz and Elizabeth, thank you both so much for being here.

Liz Flaherty: Thank you.

Elizabeth Woning: Thank you.

Allen: So Elizabeth, you co-lead a ministry called Equipped to Love in California with Ken Williams. And we actually interviewed Ken [on the] podcast back in May and heard a bit about his journey from struggling with same-sex attraction to now being married to a wonderful woman and having a family. But today I would love to hear a bit about your story.

You lived as a proud lesbian for quite some time and even as an openly homosexual pastor in the Presbyterian church. So when did you first come out as a lesbian and how long did you live in that lifestyle?

Woning: It’s a little bit hard for me to say when did I first come out because I first really started questioning my sexuality when I was 16, when I first got involved with a woman. But I still tried to make relationships with men work. I still dated men. I got married briefly after graduating from college. So in all of that time I didn’t come out. But here I was questioning.

So I think it’s important that people recognize that the point at which you come out is not the time when you begin your lesbian life. Like for most of us, starting as a very young child is when the confusion begins. And so I had years, and years, and years of grappling with whether I was a lesbian before actually coming out. But I had a mental breakdown while I was married to my first husband.

And after coming out of the hospital, really, I decided that I would come out. And so I left my marriage and moved into a metropolitan gay community and started that new life. And I lived in the community for about 10 years before going to seminary, openly gay, which was a really big deal. Now, it would be a big deal today, but that was 20 years ago when I did that. And so 20 years ago, it was a monumental deal.

At the time, I was an elder in my local church, and when I decided that I would pursue a seminary degree, I remember telling my pastor—of course I had been talking to my pastor for about a year as he was really ministering to me as I struggled with mental illness.

I had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder with that first hospitalization, and so I was grappling with how to survive my life really, and I felt that going the route of doing a seminary degree and pursuing theology was something that would give me really deep hope and purpose.

And so I was going that route. But that meant coming out to my church. I was an elder in my church, and so coming out to my church, the first thing that happened was I was asked to resign [from] my position as an elder, even though I didn’t have any intention of being in a relationship with a woman. Back then, the phrase that we used was chastity and singleness.

So I was going this route of pursuing a seminary degree in a really nonsensical environment. I was one of probably five or six students that they admitted who were gay, openly gay. And the Presbyterian church was not ordaining gays and lesbians. So it was a big deal.

While I was in seminary, we were grappling with how to understand our sexuality in the context of Scriptures. So there was a great rewrite of the Bible that took place in that season for my life. And really, it wasn’t until I graduated from seminary and began trying to do ministry.

Now I understand I couldn’t be ordained, but I had a heart to do ministry. It was really in that first year after I graduated that I had an encounter with Jesus that caused me to begin questioning my theology, the doctrine that I had believed.

Allen: Could you explain just a little bit about what that looked like? What kind of shifted in your mind, or what did the Lord shift or change in your heart to where you all [of] a sudden realized, “I don’t want to be living this way anymore”?

Woning: Well, put in the context of my life at that point … by that time [I had] had about 10 years of managed care for mental illness. And so I didn’t have kind of walking depression where you kind of cope with life and you work in your job. No, I had very, very severe bipolar disorder. And so I was not really high-functioning in a way.

By the time I graduated from seminary, I finished my year with a 30-day hospitalization. So I was really desperate. And in that season I met a charismatic pastor and he invited me to a youth outreach meeting where the Holy Spirit showed up and in … I always call it the worst case scenario for a Presbyterian.

It was total chaos. People laying on the ground, kids being filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues, mayhem like I’d never seen before. Because I was a dignified hymn-singing Presbyterian.

In that context, a 17-year-old boy approached me with what he called a word from the Lord. And it turned out to be a very specific answer to something I had been praying about. And I was having a crisis of faith at that time. And I thought, for the first time in my life, I thought God knew specifically who I was. …

As a seminary graduate and a theological student, I knew God was there. I knew he was existent, but I didn’t know he was a relational. And that caused me to have this moment where I thought, “If he knows who I am, then I have no idea who he is.”

And I began a study. … That’s my context for connection with God, I study. And so I … completely re-read the Bible and took a close view at what did God say specifically about himself? In fact, I did this entire study, not questioning my sexuality, not questioning my identity, but questioning his. And it was in the context of that study that I began to see something entirely new and fresh that I’d never seen before that I wanted to be a part of.

I began to question whether there was something in my life that had hindered me from experiencing that. And that’s what caused me to question my sexuality. I thought, “Has my mind, my life, my dedication to this theological view driven me away from God?” And when I began to unpack that, I found perhaps that it had and I began repenting.

I just began following this walk of identifying what holiness was and [what] righteousness was. And I recognized that God perhaps could give me life.

So in the context of I had tried to commit suicide, I was, although I started my college career at 20-ish, really very hopeful for my life. By that point, I was in desperate need and he began to give me the thought that I had value and he was pursuing me. And so it became the most important thing in my life to experience communion with God. With that, I was willing to question my sexuality, question my theology, question my lifestyle.

So, at that point in my life, I didn’t own any women’s clothes. I shaved my head, I had many piercings. I have several tattoos. So, I went through a very personal, internal, complete breakdown of everything that I had believed just for the sake of experiencing communion with God.

Allen: Wow. Elizabeth, thank you so much for sharing. That’s just incredibly powerful to hear and just so significant to hear what you personally experienced. And Liz, I want to take a minute to ask you a little bit about your story.

Flaherty: Sure.

Allen: You’re the executive director of a ministry based in Tennessee that also works with those coming out of the homosexual lifestyle, or are struggling with that same-sex attraction. So what was your journey into and then out of the lesbian lifestyle?

Flaherty: Sure. And I just have to say, I never tire from hearing [Elizabeth’s story], even though we do functions together and we hear our stories all the time, every single time, it’s just so wonderful. I get another nugget of God’s goodness in each other’s stories. So thank you Elizabeth for sharing that.

So, I grew up in Northern California. My parents were pastors. … And they had two high-paying jobs at Hewlett-Packard in Silicon Valley. I was born in Silicon Valley and we moved up to this little town of 1,200 people when I was 7 to pretty much become missionaries is the way I put it. And I very much struggled early on with feeling that I belonged and that I had a voice and that I was received.

I think growing up, as a contrast, in that environment, highly liberal environment, being one of the few Christians. Although I dearly love that community, I value what we took from that time there. But, in that, … we were just trying to survive financially, socially.

My parents worked very hard at feeding the transients going through the town, the homeless, and dealing with a lot of mental illness that was coming to their door. The church was right next to the house. So with that I struggled with a lot of anxiety and depression and I told people I was probably agoraphobic, just not diagnosed, because I had such bad anxiety. I couldn’t travel, I couldn’t go on field trips.

They tried to homeschool me. I was in and out of the school system. And so there was a constant trying to just assimilate into the normal life of my peers.

And to back up a little bit, I was molested at the age of 6 by a family member. And that definitely set me on a projection of putting up barriers toward men to protect myself.

Of course you don’t realize until later on that that’s what was happening in your life. But the narrative of my life began to change from a beloved daughter of God to one who was scarred and renamed by that abuse.

So with that, I enter into sort of those formative years. I was being bullied. I just carried such a spirit of rejection. I was a super heavy kid, chunky girl in a small town. And so in this fish bowl, so to speak.

With that … I found [myself], even though I tried to intimately connect with men, just doing all I could to not feel abnormal because same-sex attraction started to enter in, like Elizabeth said, early on in my adolescence.

So that just looked like when I was with my friends … I felt safe. I could connect, I could open up. I felt valued. When I was with any sort of male peers, there just was not a connection.

And I experimented, or I lost my virginity at 17. I tried. I tried to press in … so that wasn’t happening. And I think I just grew tired of not being very open and transparent with where I was. I would go to church and my parents just love the Lord. …

My parents just loved the Lord. They both had come out of a lot of sexual brokenness and had stories of the Lord redeeming them, and they were amazing. At the same time, it just felt like there was no power of the gospel transforming our lives; we were just surviving, trying to keep our heads above water.

So with that, I reasoned, “I am lesbian. This is why I can’t connect. This is why.” Even though I knew the Word said it was wrong, I knew that it was an error of our theology. I didn’t see any way out of my pain.

So I came out my senior year, much to the confusion and pain of my parents, and I moved out. I went to college in Eureka, California, which is a very interesting place to go to school, and just tried to live my life out with my peers and be on my own way. And during that time, during my first semester of college, my mom passed away of cancer very suddenly. And so that left me very much spiraling.

There came a point where … I didn’t really have a grid for grace. I didn’t understand that I could move toward the Lord in my brokenness. It was very much … I would sober up. And I was pretty addicted to pornography since the age of 12, wherever I could have access. And now that I’m in college and I have full access, I’m just deep in sexual sin and relationships.

And although I say I was not a very successful lesbian, because I was not a very social person, so, “I had all these barters.” Nope, it was on me. I was pretty much a loner.

But with that, I had an encounter with the Lord midway through college, and I was high in my living room and my roommates were gone and … I know it was the looming of the Lord, this moment where I said, “I don’t think I’m supposed to talk to you right now; I’m high, but I have no way how to get out of this. I know this isn’t life.”

And in that despair, I felt the Holy Spirit come in the room and it was like this bursting, fresh breath that I had been so longing for. And I just knew in that moment, I had surrendered and he had responded in love. And I went on this journey through the next few years of having a grace to come out of pornography and lay down my relationships, or my few relationships, and to allow him to guide me.

A whole world opened up from that. But I still went to a school of ministry at Bethel. That’s how Ken and I have known each other about 20 years from the changed moment.

So with that, I still walked through a time of having same-sex attraction, but surrendering to the Lord and being sober, I guess, is what you would call it. And it wasn’t until I hit another trauma in my life where my dad passed away; it was only three years after my mom. And my brother had come to live with me and he was nine years younger. So I reached this place again of brokenness, of, “OK, I don’t know how to manage my sexuality any longer. I can’t sustain on where I’ve been with you, Lord.”

And through some failures, moral failures, it led me to a ministry called Living Waters. It was there that I met with men and women who had walked the same struggle and part of that authority of like, “Here’s how you walk with the Lord in your sexuality.” …

The Lord just is so kind and so generous and … I’m amazed at what he’s done, that I get to go and share, my deepest, painful failures and what he has done and redeemed it.

And I’m married. I’ve been married for 14 years to my wonderful husband, Andy, and so it’s just such a joy to walk others through that and see the Lord do the same transformation.

I don’t struggle with same-sex attraction anymore. As I healed from the trauma of abuse and things like that, those barriers came down and I understood my heart more and how the Lord had created me to welcome in the masculinity, really.

Allen: Liz, thank you so much for sharing.

Woning: Wow, so good.

Allen: So good. And now you all are privileged to walk with other people who are walking a similar road or are struggling with those same things that you all have walked through.

So what do you say when a young woman or any woman comes to you and says, “I’m attracted to other women”? Or a young man comes to you and says, “I’m attracted to other men”? What’s that first thing that you say to them?

Woning: Well, typically … I just resonate with them. … Depending on why they’re coming to me, the very first thing I do is listen to everything that they have to say.

I love inviting people into my space because I completely understand what they’re going through. And very few people have the opportunity to just completely expose themselves early in their pain with someone who’s been there. And so, I don’t know about you, Liz, but I’m sure you’re very similar in that.

Flaherty: Yeah.

Woning: There’s actually something, honestly, very healing [about] being able to expose some of that deep pain and being seen. And then beyond that, then I simply start working on connecting to the Lord.

My first two steps are, I’m going to listen very deeply, but then I’m also going to make sure that that person knows how to hear from the Lord, because ultimately, nothing I say is going to be as important as what the Lord has to say.

Flaherty: Absolutely. Yeah, yeah.

Allen: … I know I’ve had these conversations with friends of mine who’ve come to me and said that this is something that they’re struggling with, that they’re struggling with same-sex attraction, and it’s honestly difficult in those moments to know how to respond and really how to love them well.

So what would you say to friends, to family members who—you maybe have had these conversations—will have these conversations with people that they love dearly? How do we walk with those that we love through this?

Flaherty: I think what’s really important is to start with our own narrative with the Lord and our own brokenness, and not so much making it about the specific manifestation of that, but actually understanding our own walk with the Lord and how … the power of the gospel translates to every need and covers every sin. …

I think when you disarm that … like, there’s this pinnacle sin of homosexuality. I’m not saying that there aren’t different consequences to different sins, but when you bring it back to, “We’re here. We’re happy to be with you. We love you and we want to hear what’s going on in your heart. Let us share about what the Lord did in our life.”

And you come in that posture of humility that disarms a lot of fear. I think people have a tendency to hide when they think they’re going to be persecuted, and creating a space where, like, “No, we all come before the Father in the same way.”

Woning: I think most of us who have experienced same-sex attraction have a deep sense of rejection. I think it’s first internalized rejection; I think you’re rejecting yourself. There’s an element of that there, and so then you tend to project that onto every person around you. And there’s so much fear.

Rejection is so painful and there’s so much fear that everyone will reject you. And so then most Christians grapple with, “OK, how do I tell you, ‘Please don’t embrace this life’?” And so that creates actually this, “All right, I don’t get to embrace this sense, this thing that is feeding my need for intimacy.” So it just perpetuates that self-rejection.

So it’s a very complex issue. It’s very complex how to meet it. And so one of the key things for me is making sure that there’s a bridge where people can fully express themselves and feel fully seen and valued in the conversation.

Your first contact with someone when they come out is not to correct their behavior, it’s to meet them right where they’re at and to be available to walk with them through everything. And so it’s to say, “Oh man, I’m so sorry. How is this impacting your life and how do you want me to support you?”

And it might be, “I want you to embrace my lesbian life.” And that, I think, that’s the deer-in-the-headlight moment for a Christian, where you say, “No, I don’t think I can embrace that in your life because I don’t see that that will bless you. God’s not going to bless you in pursuing that lifestyle, but I’m going to be with you in this as you grapple with this. And I want you to know that I will never sever our relationship on this issue.”

Because honestly, even our friends or our children who come out who want to go pursue that life, they’re pursuing it because everyone has a deep-seated need for intimate connection with other people and this is the way that they see most clearly will satisfy that need.

And if there isn’t some superseding opportunity, like the love of Jesus and the supportive parents and friends, if there’s not something that can also meet or compete with that need for intimacy, then there’s no help that can be given.

Allen: Yeah.

Flaherty: I think, if I can just speak to parents—my father, when I came out my senior year, he did ask me if he could find help for me. I wouldn’t take it because I didn’t really see how they weren’t helping themselves.

So that’s a real key that I tell parents is, “Make sure that you have, really, a lifestyle of going after wholeness in your own life, dealing with things that might be holding you back in intimacy in your relationship.” Just asking the Holy Spirit, “Lord, is there work here that we could be doing with you, partnering with you to demonstrate to our children, ‘This is the path that you grow in the Lord. This is the path that you address things’?”

And my father told me, “I can’t. I’ve gone to the Lord, I’ve gone to the Word. I can’t accept this as, I’ve tried,” because he saw the years of rejection of how I grappled with this, and so I think there was a part of him that actually wanted to support me in this, that maybe this road, I’d find fulfillment. But because he went to the Lord and he held to this boundary, it was a place I could come back to after … the Lord was willing me back.

So I just would say, don’t be afraid to hold to your convictions in a way that leaves the door open to your children, but your home is to be an atmosphere of the Lord.

And I know that manifests in different ways and that you could have a whole podcast on that, but just to say, it will feel heart-wrenching because you want to draw your children close and sometimes they’re choosing to leave with their inheritance.

Allen: Yeah. Well, and of course, this is an issue that increasingly we’re seeing in America, that the LGBTQ community is getting louder and you can’t ignore it any longer.

So with legislation such as the Equality Act, how are you all viewing that sort of thing? If that was passed, what kind of effect would that have on the work that you all are doing, ministering and working with those and counseling those that are maybe seeking to come out of this lifestyle?

Woning: Well, first of all, H.R. 5, the Equality Act, and similar bills like that … I think the No. 1 impact that that’s going to have is the imposition of an ideology that all of us who’ve left the LGBTQ life … So anyone who has gone to the work of questioning their sexuality and found resolution, like Liz and I have, we know that perpetuating the lifestyle, at least for women, places this bondage essentially on a person, never opening the door for them to understand kind of repressed needs, repressed traumas.

So we’re imposing an ideology that would perpetuate brokenness, emotional brokenness, on a generation.

I talk to so many people who might never entertain the possibility of being gay or lesbian were it not for unobtrusive thought, someone’s bullying or someone’s suggestion, “Oh, you’re gay. You’re a lesbian. You don’t meet the stereotype for what a man or a woman is and so therefore you’re obviously lesbian or gay.”

And if just the mere suggestion would cause you to begin questioning your sexuality … Because for me, for example, until I met my first girlfriend and we began exploring lesbianism, I had never heard of it. I’d never entertained that idea. And that was years ago. But nevertheless, it was a new thought for me. And that thought then became, “Oh, this must explain why I am the way I am.” And there was not any other narrative offered. …

So Ken and I have formed this movement that’s become a movement called Changed of people who have this story of coming out, so that there’s this other narrative that’s offered. And it’s not a rhetorical narrative. It’s stories, so that people begin to say, “Oh, there’s another way.”

So H.R.5 would put this blanket over that and then stifle the opportunity to share those stories. Real censorship. Censorship is happening now.

What will happen when it becomes illegal to suggest there’s another narrative, which is what H.R.5 would do? It would stifle the voice of every Christian pastor to share the full gospel or to make restrictions on a church’s ability to protect its leadership against an ideology … And no opportunity for dissent.

So that bill doesn’t just impact us and how we help people who are realizing, “Hey, this could not be the ultimate truth of my life,” but then it stifles any opposite narrative in such a totalitarian way. …

I can hardly express how odd H.R. 5 is. It saddens me that America is willing to entertain a bill that would supersede the protections that the 1964 Civil Rights Act gives African Americans.

So it’s like America is willing to forget the current endeavors of the African American community that stand on the Civil Rights Act and divert its attention to the LGBT issue. I think that’s a travesty, really. But then beyond that, the restrictions that this bill poses are really dramatic for American liberty.

Allen: Elizabeth, you also mentioned a Senate bill that you’re quite concerned with. Can you speak to that for a moment?

Woning: Yeah, so there’s a Senate Bill 2008 and a matching House Bill 3570. They are called the Therapeutic Fraud Prevention Act. And those center on the dialogue around, I’m going to say it, conversion therapy, which, honestly, no one’s quite sure what that is. Everyone has a different opinion of what that is, and there is actually no definitive understanding.

And the LGBT community would say any sexual orientation change effort, that would be everything from an altar call asking you to repent to meeting with a licensed psychotherapist, would be conversion therapy.

But it would hinder anyone questioning their sexuality from pursuing restoration or resolution of conflict when they feel that there is an inner conviction that it’s not the truth in their life.

So basically it says, “No, if you’re questioning your sexuality, there’s only one path for you, and that’s to embrace lesbianism, and every other opportunity should be banned.”

And there’s not any scientific evidence. There’s not enough [studies,] really, that indicate that it should be banned. But it is definitely our politicians caving to what is politically correct in America. And I mean, I can go on at length for that. That’s an entire podcast, really.

Allen: Yeah.

Woning: [There’s a] significant lack of study and help for people who are questioning their sexuality because of political correctness. There’s an entire history with the American Psychiatric and Psychological Associations of really recusing themselves from real, direct scientific study and pursuit of clinical help for people, based on political activism from the LGBT community.

And that activism has created this vacuum where certain helps for people who are questioning their sexuality [have] simply … never been offered, they’ve never been pursued … by the APAs. What we presume today is impossible is really based on years of a great wall of never even pursuing understanding. So, there’s a lack in America of professional care for people.

These Therapeutic Acts, they are actually perpetuating brokenness in our culture. And I really wish that the APAs would promote study that would help, that they would actually raise up some adequate professional care for people who are questioning their sexuality, particularly for women, because scientifically what we see for women is that sexuality tends to be much more fluid.

And then there’s the added problem that many women who are sexually abused pursue a life of love of lesbianism because they don’t feel safe with men. So there’s added complexity for women in this issue.

These bills would say, “OK, even though you’ve been sexually abused or molested, if you have same-sex desires, we’re going to assume that they have nothing to do with that abuse, and you don’t have the right to any care other than affirming care for that new sexual orientation.”

Allen: Liz and Elizabeth, you all are here in Washington, D.C., to talk to a number of different leaders about this, about this sort of legislation, how it would affect the work that you all are doing. Have you been receiving a positive response from those on the Hill? What maybe have been some of those interactions? What are your hopes for some of those interactions?

Woning: … First of all … the main reason we’ve come to Washington is to share our stories. Really the mandate for Changed and the Changed Movement is just to share our stories because no one here gets to hear from us. And so, most of what we’re doing is just doing that.

We’ve been received with curiosity mostly. And people who might presume that we’re anti-LGBT really don’t know what we’re doing or talking about.

On the Hill we’ve mostly raised eyebrows. And I think that when people talk to us, they realize that we [are] coming in as low as we possibly can, trying to create an atmosphere of dialogue and conversation around this divisive issue, so that there’s a new way.

We just need a new way to dialogue about this issue in America, and I think Americans are capable of embracing that.

Allen: Well, Liz and Elizabeth, I am so thankful for you all joining The Daily Signal Podcast and for your time today. Really, really appreciate it.

Woning: Thank you so much.

Flaherty: Thank you.

Woning: Can I just say that the Changed Movement right now has a growing Instagram page. And I’d love to invite people to it. It’s just more and more of our stories. You can find us at @changedmvmt.

And we also have a closed Facebook page that people can come into, comprised of people who are questioning their sexuality or people like Ken and I and Elizabeth, or Liz, who have found complete restoration in their sexuality.

There are so many men and women who have gone the route that we have, who now are married. Many have their own biological children, who have moved on with their lives. And so, there are things happening right now in America and across the world.

Honestly, I want to call it revival, that God is meeting LGBT people, sharing with them that he loves them, calling to them with wholeness, and really meeting their deepest needs for intimacy. And I think that we’re about to see something incredible happen across the world because LGBT people know how to do community well. They know how to support one another well. And when they come into the church, there’s just such a beautiful dynamic of care and concern for each other.

The church really needs the LGBT community. They need to embrace people who’ve experienced same-sex attraction and learn what it means to love sacrificially once again. I think God’s really restoring the church in this generation.

So, even though we’re seeing this huge conflict in America, it might look very dark, a lot of us want to say, “Oh, it’s the end and we’d better just buckle down,” there’s such a huge silver lining. There’s such a huge silver lining. God is going to do something incredible through what’s happening right now.

Allen: Yeah. OK, one more time, can you share your social media and your websites?

Woning: The Changed Movement can be found on Instagram at @changedmvmt, #changedmovement. Same thing on Facebook. Or equippedtolove.com, which is where Ken and I can be found at Bethel Church.

Flaherty: And mine is lizgflaherty.com.

Allen: OK, great. And we’ll be sure to have links for all of those in our show notes.

Woning: Thank you so much.

Allen: Thank you all again. Really appreciate it.

Woning: Thank you.

Meet Ann Davison Sattler running for the Seattle City Council

It is always important to listen to citizens when they send us an email. Laura sent us an email about the November 5th, 2019 non-partisan District 5 race for the Seattle City Council staying:

If possible, I hope you can also post an article to support Ann Davison Sattler who is running for Seattle City Council in District 5.  The person who she  is running against, Debora Juarez is rude to people.  Here is a video as proof of the rudeness of Deborah Juarez:

Seattle, like many cities, is controlled by those who have ignored the people. Ann Davison Sattler wants to change that holier than thou attitude of the members of the City Council. In the above video the gentleman is clearly concerned that the sitting members of the Seattle City Council are more interested in their cell phones than they are interested in what he has to say. He even quotes George Orwell and the proclamation by the pigs who control the government in the novel Animal Farm,

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

Seattle can count itself among many West Coast cities that have become Animal Farms, where the people are being treated like animals by those who control the government.

Perhaps it is time for a change of direction in Seattle? Perhaps Ann Davison Sattler is the one person who wants to treat all of the citizens of Seattle, Washington as equals?

MIDDLE EAST INTEL REPORT: Turkey-Syria-Putin-Russian Airfield Used in Baghdadi Raid?

TURKEY/SYRIA

The Saudi-owned al-arabiyya TV station has reported today that Turkish forces have fired on Syrian forces. (that’s Syrian as in the Assad bunch from Damascus).  This comes because of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) whom we allied with during the ISIS war and who were forced to make mends with Damascus upon the U.S. withdrawal.  In other words, because Assad’s Syrian army has accepted the SDF as a segment of the Syrian Army, they have become the imaginary enemy of Erdogan’s Turkey, since all Kurds and those who support them are Enemies of Turkey in Erdogan’s book.

A week ago, even a few days ago, Arabic news sources were saying that Erdogan’s invasion of North Syria will result in one million to a million and a half new homeless refugees in Syria.  Today, these same Arabic sources are saying that Erdogan’s current invasion of North Syria will result in the murder of one million to a million and a half Kurds.  Their only sin was in speaking their native language, wearing Turkish clothing, sporting their own flag, and operating Kurdish language media entities.

The Turkish firing upon Syrian forces puts Russia in a serious position.  Russia entered the Syrian war for the express purpose of salvaging all Syrian territory for the Assad regime.  So, Putin now has to make a choice, does he continue to protect the Assad regime and its claim for “the territorial integrity of Syria,” or does he cave in to the 21st Hitler Erdogan as the U.S. president did.  Facts on the ground indicate the latter.

Several years ago, Russia’s chief religious authority, the Patriarch of Moscow, conferred with Putin asking him to make defending a Christianity being systematically exterminated in the region of its birth a key plank of Russia’s foreign policy.  Putin responded with “so it shall be.”  If he continues his appeasement policy towards Erdogan, that promise to the Russian prelate will go the same way as political opponents of Putin.

Many people in the path of Erdogan’s current ethnic cleansing rampage are Christians, as are most of the people of Kobani, who converted after the desecrations of ISIS.  As soon as Russians troops depart that area, those people will all be exterminated–unless they flee now.

In a related event, al-arabiyya has also reported that Russian troops have been escorting SDF fighters out of the area east of the Euphrates that Erdogan has demanded as a “security zone.”  This comes as Turkey is threatening to kill any and all “Kurdish fighters” they find in that zone once the “deadline” has passed.  By “Kurdish fighters,” of course, Erdogan means all Kurds, Christians, and Yazidis found in his path.

We will return to this theme further down in this report.

WAS A RUSSIAN AIRFIELD USED IN BAGHDADI RAID?

On 28 October, al-arabiyya TV reported that the U.S. aircraft that took part in the raid on Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s compound in a small town in N.W. Syria flew out of an airfield just outside of ‘Ayn al-‘Arab.  ‘Ayn al-‘Arab is the Arabic name for the Kurdish city of Kobani.  Kobani was the city that inflicted the first defeat on the previously unstoppable ISIS jugernaut, and the heroism of their YPG fighters inspired the world and led to the formation of the SDF under U.S. advice.

With the U.S. withdrawal (and the SDF then immediately siding with the Russians and the Damascus forces), Russian forces then moved into Kobani to provide security as the SDF moved out.  Thus, any airports or airfields in the vicinity of Kobani would have been under Russian security at the time the U.S. Baghdadi raid took place.

Trump’s ill-advised and precipitous withdrawal from Syria and the granting of a green light to Erdogan to come in and ethnic cleanse whatever areas he wanted to, also forced the U.S. special forces to move up the time table of their attack, because it appears that the Russians are to depart Kobani themselves once all the SDF focrces have left.  Turkey might not have been as cooperative as the Russians in terms of letting us use an airfield under their control.

This is why Trump rightly thanked the Russians for their cooperation in the raid, and why Trump critics in the media and politics are 180 degrees wrong for trying to blame Trump for that bit of diplomatic courtesy.

Offering thanks to Turkey, though, might be another matter.  Nonetheless, Turkey was pleased with the elimination of al-Baghdadi–even though Turkey was the Godfather of  ISIS, as reported previously on this site.  Turkey was incensed when al-Baghdadi declared himself  to be the Caliph, a title that was supposed to be reserved for his ”holiness” Recep Tayyip Erdogan.  The death of al-Baghdadi means that now there is only one Caliph, and Erdogan can now proceed with the next phase of his plan to restore the Ottoman Empire Caliphate.

TURKEY’S NEXT MOVE

As Turkey’s ISIS, al-Qaeda, and Muslim Brotherhood thugs called the “Free Syrian Army” kidnap, murder, and desecrate their way through Kurdish villages–even writing their names on the doors of Kurdish homes they plan to take over for themselves once the Kurds have been ethnic cleansed–Erdogan has changed the name of for his pan-terrorists militia.  He now calls it the “Syrian National Army.”

Hey!  I thought that President Assad’s army was the National Army of Syria?  What gives?

Erdogan has a tendency to telegraph his next moves.  For example, before he ordered Trump to jettison the SDF and let him establish his “security zone” himself, he began making comments to the effect that the joint U.S.-Turkish patrols were not working (even though they were).  This was a signal that he was going to tell Trump to get lost and take over the “security zone” himself.  Before that, Erdogan commented that if he “had to” he would “Cyprusize” the areas he wanted if he didn’t get his way through “diplomacy” (i.e. threats).

To “Cyprusize” areas of Northern Syria was a referrence to what Turkey did to Cyprus way back in 1974 when America had another Republican president that the Democrats had placed under “impeachment watch.”  Turkey staged a naked invasion with jet fighters, paratroopers, special forces, etc. to ethnic cleanse 1/4 of Cypriot territory, repopulate it with Turks and create a new puppet state for Turkey.  In the process they murdered, raped, and pillaged the Greek inhabitants who had lived there for 3,000 years.

This is the same behavior that Turkey is engaging in with regards to N. Syria.

Erdogan has thus telegraphed his next move by changing the title of his terrorist militia.

Calling it the “Syrian National Army” is a signal that he plans to use this “army” to take over the rest of Syria in the not too distant future–whereupon it will become, in fact, the new National Army of Syria.

To aid in this endeavor, Erdogan will round up and “arrest” the estimated 30,000 fighters who went underground in Syria and Iraq, as well as the thousands more who escaped prisons the Kurds were guarding now that the U.S. withdrawal and the Turkish invastion has forced the Kurds to depart their guard positions.

Turkey’s “arrest” of these thousands of terrorists will win the praise of the world and win Turkey forgiveness for all its genocidal sins.  Then Turkey will recycle these “arrested” terrorists into new militia groups with new names, and new uniforms, and attach them to Erdogan’s ever expanding “Syrian National Army.”  And, those will be the military shock troops who will spearhead to coming full invasion of all of Syria as Erdogan seeks ever more “security zones.”

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE IRANIANS?

Reports have anywhere from 80,000 to 200,000 Iranians now in Syria in what amounts to a full-scale occupation.  Many of those 200,000 Iranians are civilians from rural areas in Iran that the Mullah’s have transported to Syria where they’ve taken over the homes of Syrians who are now refugees in Europe.

So, the question is, if Turkey moves to conquer the rest of Syria once it has completely digested its “security zone” in N. Syria, won’t that lead to a war between Turkey and Iran?  Wouldn’t that be a wonder thing for the West?  To have these two rogue states killing each other off?  It would be . . . except:

ERDOGAN’S OLIVE BRANCH TO IRAN

An editorial in Iran’s Fars News, an organ of the Mullah’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) has recently lavished praise on Erdogan and noted that he provided free land and a check for one million U.S. dollars for a huge Zayn al-Abadin (a Shi’a saint) mosque in Istanbul.

Not only that, but Erdogan also personally joined 500,000 Shi’a in Istanbul in “mourning the death of the 7th century Imam Hussein.”

WHAT THIS MEANS

You have a hard core Sunni Islamist kissing up to hard core Shi’a Islamists and vice versa.  What gives?’

Erdogan’s ruling AKP party is a clone of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB).  When Egyptian Hasan al-Banna formed the MB in 1928 he saw it as an umbrella organization for all Muslims, rather than just a specifically Sunni organization.  This is why the al-Qaeda organization of MB alum ‘Usama bin Laden was able to coordinate with Iran in the preparations for 9/11.

This is why the MB president of Egypt (2012-2012) was able to begin seeking an alliance with Iran before being deposed.  This is why MB-supporting Qatar has found it easy to form an alliance with Shi’a Iran, as well as with Sunni Turkey.

Therefore, with regards to Erdogan’s next move to take over Syria, Erdogan is telling Iran that “we can do this together.”  The implications being that they will be allies in the establishing of a new pan-Islamic Caliphate.

SO WHERE DOES THIS LEAVE PUTIN?

Is Putin going to just stand by and watch Turkey gobble up the rest of his Syrian ally?

Given Putin’s above-mentioned behavior the answer is probably “yes.”

What does Putin really want with Syria?

Putin entered the Syrian war only reluctantly, and only after dire pleadings from Iran.  Russia had a naval base near Latakia in N.W. Syria, which, of course, he wanted to preserve.  But before entering the war he squeezed a few more concessions out of Assad.  He was able to expand that naval base while adding a modern airbase near by, and other airbase further inland.  In addition Assad had to cede Syria’s oil rights in Syrian territorial waters to Russia.

My analysis tells me that if Putin looks the other way while Erdogan annexes the rest of Syria, that Erdogan will allow him to keep these military bases and the oil rights.  Erdogan can also apply additional pressure through the thousands of “Grey wolves” members spread throughout the Turkic-speaking former Soviet Union Republics of Central Asia that ring Russia’s southern border.

Besides, Turkey is a member of NATO, so that even if Russia wanted to go to war against Turkey, it couldn’t because that would force an automatic response by NATO.  Thus, both Putin and his American counterpart are being manipulated by Erdogan because of Turkey’s NATO membership–to the detriment of the entire human race, as will become apparent when Erdogan’s new Syrian tragedy unfolds.

OTHER MIDEAST NEWS

The Lebanese Prime Minister Sa’aad Hariri has resigned after several days of protests by the people of Lebanon, most recently a human chain they formed extending from the southern part of the country to the northern, and passing through the capital of Beirut.

Nasurallah, the thugish head of the terror group Hizbollah has issued veiled and not so veiled threats of a civil war should the protesters succeed in bringing down the Hizbollah-subservient government.

Iraq has also been experiencing an “Arab Spring 2.0” with Shi’a and Sunni alike participating and chanting ash-sha’ab yoreed asqaat an-nizhaam (the people want to bring down the regime), which was the exact wording of the original Arab Spring in 2011.

Algeria has been experiencing “Arab Spring 2.0” since last spring, and it appears that when and if elections are ever held, that a Muslim Brotherhood-type party will likely win.

Coincidentally, or not, the MB clone an-nahdhah party in Tunisia won parliamentary elections a couple of months ago and is putting together an Islam-friendly government.  Then, just a couple of weeks ago a college professor with a fondness for Islam has won the presidential elections.

The civil war in Libya continues full bore between the Tripoli government supported by Turkey and Qatar, and the Libyan National Army out of Benghazi supported by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

The sum of the developments and chaos in all of these countries, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria, might provide opportunities for Erdogan to reconstitute the Old Ottoman Empire, or least some key parts of it–especially if he is successful in gobbling up the rest of Syria.

Usama bin Laden once said that “people will follow the strong horse,” and right now, with the U.S. and Russian surrenders in Syria, Erdogan and Turkey are seen as “the strong horse.”  Aljazeera.net has recently posted articles heaping lavish praise upon Erdogan with precisely that tone.
