VIDEO: The Vortex — A Great Realignment. And it’s a good thing.

TRANSCRIPT

As you know, Church Militant is always helping you understand the connections between the culture and the Church, the crossover between both worlds. Those two worlds parallel each other in many ways — they’re practically mirrors. And, theologically, it makes sense. As Bp. Sheen used to say, the world is the theater of redemption: It’s where the great spiritual war rages.

So as we look out on all of this, we see something happening in each arena. There is a great realignment occurring, in the Church and in the culture. In many ways, the old labels, which used to categorize things neatly, no longer apply. Consider, for example, “conservative” and “liberal.” There’s so much confusion over those classifications — especially liberal — that no one really knows what they mean.

The old labels are so ineffective at describing the new realities that, oftentimes, you find adjectives popping up in front of them which pretty much redefine them. So the old word is used, but there is a totally different meaning behind the word.

For example, there aren’t just plain old Republicans anymore. But now there are actual Republicans and then there are RINO Republicans — Republicans in name only. Notice, to bring up the point of the crossover between culture and State, we also no longer have just Catholics, but “CINOs”: Catholics in name only.

And, of course, we have not just Catholics but “cafeteria Catholics.” All these adjectives are now necessary because the terms no longer mean what they used to mean. All of this redefining is going on because there is, underneath it all, a massive realignment going on — in the culture and the Church.

In the political world, Donald Trump has become the symbol of all that, not to mention also a precipitating cause. Tens of millions of Americans were beginning to sense a political shift, a new paradigm emerging where they, as individuals, no longer mattered.

They sensed correctly that the world they knew was being buried under a mountain of globalist Marxism. In the Church, faithful Catholics likewise sensed a major shift happening. They couldn’t put a finger on it, but they knew something was up, something was off.

So they began realigning themselves, leaving the Church of Nice and hunting out the actual Faith. It’s like a Catholic version of the Walkaway movement that is rippling through the Democratic Party — a movement of Democrats who have woken up and realized the party no longer represents them. And so they are walking away from it.

There is a huge ideological shift, an enormous immigration, a mass migration where people are seeking out like-minded individuals and associating themselves with them. It’s all over social media. It’s all over politics. It’s all over the Church. It’s all over the place.

People are choosing sides, and in that choosing up sides, some people are waking up and realizing that the folks they thought they had a lot in common with, they really didn’t. So they cut ties and are establishing new ones.

Now, some people find this upsetting. They bemoan the division, they lament the lack of unity. Frankly, that’s a stupid response. There can be unity only if it’s a unity around truth. In fact, this entire realignment is about the truth.  Some waking up to it, others wanting to destroy it.

But truth is the cause. When truth is present, there are only two responses. It is either embraced or raged against. The Marxist Left, up until the arrival of Donald Trump, was able to keep the truth of its agenda under wraps, to conceal the truth.

But now, it’s all out there. Nothing is hidden. And people are making choices. And that’s a good thing. Even on the side of evil, it’s good to know who’s who. For Catholics and other Christian denominations — remember, this is how things will be at the end of the world. Truth will cause one great, final realignment — and it will be final.

Trump: ‘Another HISTORIC breakthrough today! Our two GREAT friends Israel and Bahrain agree to a Peace Deal’

VIDEO: President Donald J. Trump announces Bahrain, Israel will normalize relations.

“Another HISTORIC breakthrough today! Our two GREAT friends Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain agree to a Peace Deal – the second Arab country to make peace with Israel in 30 days!”

This is extraordinary. Trump is achieving it by refusing to heed the conventional wisdom that has guided U.S. foreign policy into disaster after disaster for decades. I rated him very high in Rating America’s Presidents, and he keeps on vindicating me. But his defiance of the mainstream analysts and demonstration of their failures is one reason why they hate him with such passionate intensity.

“Bahrain agrees to normalize relations with Israel, Trump announces,” Jerusalem Post, September 11, 2020:

Bahrain has joined the United Arab Emirates in striking an agreement to normalize relations with Israel, President Donald Trump said on Friday, a dramatic move aimed at easing tensions in the Middle East.

Trump tweeted out the news after he spoke by phone to both Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House said.

Trump also tweeted: “Another HISTORIC breakthrough today! Our two GREAT friends Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain agree to a Peace Deal – the second Arab country to make peace with Israel in 30 days!”

“This is a historic breakthrough to further peace in the Middle East,” the United States, Bahrain and Israel said in a joint statement.

“Opening direct dialog and ties between these two dynamic societies and advanced economies will continue the positive transformation of the Middle East and increase stability, security, and prosperity in the region,” it said.

Netanyahu says the agreement marks a “new era of peace.”…

VIDEO: How Americans should weigh the recent surge in anti-Semitism when they cast their votes this November

In this clip from the Q&A of the Center for Security Policy’s recent webinar “Rise of Anti-Semitism and the Progressive Assault on the West,” David Wurmser, Director of the Center’s Program on Global Anti-Semitism and the US-Israel Relationship, Juliana Pilon, Senior Fellow of the Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization, and Joel Griffith, Research Fellow at the Heritage Foundation Roe Institute, discuss why it is important that American voters hold members of Congress accountable in standing up to a recent surge in anti-Semitism in the United States.

This includes not “coddling” those promoting anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism and not tolerating openly anti-Semitic members of Congress such as Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.

How Bad Are Things?

David Warren: You bottle up young people, and then an ideologue lights a match. They become “Molotov people,” filled with nothing except natural fuel.

Some have argued, this could turn out well. From my information, homeschooling has grown explosively across the U.S.A., and this doesn’t seem to be receding much, as the Batflu lockdowns ease.

Whether Catholic or not, parents across the continent have been learning what the public education system provides: little besides “progressive” indoctrination. As I discovered when my own children were young (in Canada), they learn everything needful at home, anyway.

A nice example was my elder lad – an engineer by nature – who was still using feet and inches a quarter-century after the government had imposed the metric system. This was done well before he was born, under the late, unlamented, elder Trudeau’s regime.

How wasn’t he metricated?

He explained that while the schools only taught in metric, his teacher was innumerate. My son had acquired the old (British Imperial) measures from his mother and father. Eventually, he taught himself metric conversions from a book, but he still thought in feet and inches.

Yes, I hear gentle reader telling me, this is just anecdotal. And I could supply many anecdotes besides. But it helps explain why, when light is cast on our state schools, they tend to evaporate. We’re often told they have good teachers. I’ll tell you when I meet one.

Better yet, the universities follow. There are thousands of these degree-granting institutions, and perhaps a few good professors, still not retired. But they will be gone in a very few years, and from what I can make out, especially in the humanities, their successors teach nothing but attitudinizing.

There is still fine training to be had from several places in the technical disciplines, which draw big salaries. But President Trump’s boasts notwithstanding, the country is actually dependent upon foreign students and immigrants, to staff the more sophisticated industries.

Whether or not they are allowed to confer credentials, good training colleges may survive. They may also grow, into the vacuum, as bad ones disintegrate. The students themselves are discovering that the innumerable soft degrees they offer give them nothing but a mountain of debt. Bankrupting mediocre universities will be a boon to society.

I mustn’t be too negative against virus infections that escape from (largely American-funded) Red Chinese labs. They may do spectacular damage; though mostly it is from the ambitious response of exploitative politicians – trading, according to me, on an electorate that is superstitious; that is easily frightened and gulled.

We see it in the cloth muzzles almost everyone is wearing in the cities, quite voluntarily. No one demands proof that they are even slightly effective. Or we see it in the hysteria about “infection spikes,” as often as not caused by false positives on tests, while the death rates continue to fall.

And in the death rates themselves, which are wildly inflated. For these deaths are overwhelmingly among the old and already dying. That the cause of death is “COVID-19” is not sometimes, but usually, a surmise.

I could waste gentle reader’s time with an exhaustive analysis of the flaky statistics, but this is already being done. Unfortunately, the media’s money seems to come only from false alarms.

The two aspects of our educational apocalypse now come together. We live in environments where the majority is no longer intellectually, or morally, cultivated. They panic easily when something bad happens, inspiring further idiotization. And something bad is always happening.

In particular we, like all previous societies, should be able to cope with pain, inconvenience, and death. There will always be natural disasters, even if the plurality are man-made.

Which takes us to the third aspect. The season of riots – of looting, arson, and mayhem in the cities – may be the product of the lockdown, like so many other apparently evil things. You bottle young people up, and then some ideologue puts a match to them. I call them “the Molotov people,” for they are filled with nothing except natural fuel.

Even many from reasonably good families had parents who left teaching them to the schools. They foolishly believed their kids were too smart to fall for radical nonsense. They hadn’t taken warnings from previous generations.

In your country, as in mine, there was a direct connection between the deracination of shopping, schools, and entertainment, and a hunger for violence. The inherited wisdom of religion and nation was simply not available to the vast majority, not only of the “Millennial Generation,” but often to those who raised them.

Not having tasted normative civilization, they don’t know what they’re missing, as it were. They have learned to think in fantasies, instead. They aren’t anchored to anything; certainly not to the “socialism” many profess. Were it not that Christ can do miracles, I’d have no hope for them.

But here is where my pessimism comes flooding back in.

Yes, it would be good to extinguish our atrociously counter-productive school system. Yet it is hard to imagine much good coming, just from destroying a few more things. True, we learn from experience, and experiencing some reality is better than experiencing none.

But I am reminded of an old joke, told by Poles against themselves, just after the Soviet tyranny collapsed. It went, “How many Poles does it take to change a light bulb?”

The answer was, “None. The free market will take care of it.”

The same mindless notion that socialism might work, carried forward into capitalism. Good things don’t happen because a constitutional order is well designed. They happen because real, heroic people make them happen; because living souls tirelessly created them.

While stupid obstructions can get in the way, they don’t matter when there is nothing pushing. The old-fashioned liberals, who wanted to remove obstacles, may have been sweet and well-intended, but they didn’t BUILD.

It is as we rebuild the fabric of civilization, that we recover from civilizational collapse. There is no alternative to re-establishing Christianity and Catholicism. None.

Lifestyle Liberalism Takes Money – Lots of It

Randall Smith: Too many Americans, both “liberals” and “conservatives,” believe America is great because individuals get to choose their own idea of the good.

Many people assume that a society “progressive” in its moral views would naturally be “progressive” in its economy, that someone who believes in a more equal distribution of goods would also be a person who believes in more permissive standards of behavior.

I am not denying the perception, but the reality is often the reverse of what young progressives seem to assume. Those who wish to ensure goals such as a more equitable distribution of the wealth in the economy and a greater respect for the environment are demanding considerable self-discipline of the sort we do not customarily or habitually demand of people in a culture of lifestyle libertinism.

You think it unreasonable to ask a man to discipline his appetite for sex, but then you think it eminently reasonable to require him to relinquish his appetite for money, status, and power?

It’s odd to say, “You needn’t have the discipline to stay faithful to your wife and children,” but then insist that someone should be responsible to all humanity for recycling his plastic containers. If a man can’t discipline his appetites enough to remain faithful to his own children and to the wife to whom he pledged lifelong fidelity before God, what makes anyone imagine he would discipline himself enough to remain faithful to the generations after his death?  It should be no surprise, then, that as societies become more “progressive” morally, they rack up progressively more debts for future generations to pay.

The permissiveness “progressives” support in the realm of personal morals is simply another species of the autonomous individualism they wish to combat in the economic realm. And every weakening of the social bonds of society, especially those developed in the selfless bonds of marriage and family, results in a lessening of the social capital needed to ensure that people remain willing to share plentifully with others without fear of being left indigent themselves.

When people build greater levels of social trust, they are more willing to share. When they fear that even their closest relationships are based on no more than the other person’s pleasure or self-fulfillment, this willingness drains away and people become self-protective.  When this happens, the only way to ensure even minimal forms of cooperation is by means of coercive governmental control.  Is this really desirable?

If you don’t want the government intruding into your private life, would it really surprise you to discover that the guy next door doesn’t want the government intruding into his private business decisions?  If you want to use the coercive powers of government to force a doctor to perform your abortion, would it really surprise you if you found that your landlord was eager to use the coercive powers of government to evict you for not paying your rent?

By the same token, if you insist the government has no business telling you how much to pay your workers and if you want to use the coercive powers of government to favor your business, don’t be surprised if “progressives” resist government intrusion for the things they like and encourage it for the things they don’t.

In a culture in which freedom means primarily freedom from constraint, freedom to do whatever I choose, not freedom to devote myself to the good and the welfare of others, it quickly becomes clear to young people that the freedom they are being “sold” every day by the cultural elites – the freedom of autonomous self-creation, the freedom to create an identity with consumer items, the freedom to pursue what is exciting and to live like the celebrities in the ads – costs money, and lots of it.

The “artsy” life in New York City is expensive.  The McMansion and the expensive prep schools are expensive.  Studies have shown that over a quarter of the people making over $100,000 a year say they are “just barely making it” and cannot afford their basic needs.  Self-creating autonomous freedom costs money; celebrity lifestyles aren’t cheap.

L.A. and New York may be hotbeds of voters for socialist causes, but they are far from being moral exemplars of income equality.  People living in expensive houses and apartments who spend money on bars and clubs, but want the government to “do more for the poor,” have very little credibility.

Move out of the expensive New York City apartment, live in a modest city and simple neighborhood, send your kids to the local public schools or to a modest Catholic school that actually serves the poor, and you might have some “street cred.”  Otherwise, you’re just a poseur.  You cannot say, “You people give up the gross things you enjoy while I keep the sophisticated pleasures I enjoy.”

Lifestyle liberals will never be able to secure social justice if they wear their concern for social justice like the Scribes and Pharisees used to wear their religious garments: as a sign of personal self-righteousness. “They “broaden their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels”; “all their deeds are done for men to see”; when they propose giving to the needy, they sound a trumpet for others to respect them – as self-proclaimed “Pope Francis Catholics” perhaps?

Too many Americans, whether self-proclaimed “liberals” or “conservatives,” believe that what makes America great is that individuals get to choose their own idea of the good, untethered to the claims or needs of others, and then get it – as a right divorced from any obligations to others or to the common good.

Both “laissez-faire conservatives” and “progressives” are called upon to realize that America will only be “great” when we can make our own the prayers of the too-often unsung and unheeded verses of “America the Beautiful”:

America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

VIDEO: Am I a Nobody? A New Kind of Persecution is Here!

Do you sometimes feel like a nobody? Has someone ever called you a nobody? Have you ever felt like they were going to squash you? Did you back down? Did you think to yourself, “I don’t mean anything to anybody.” I’m still a nobody. But to be a somebody in the body of Christ, we have to be nobodies. When we realize that we are nobodies, that’s when God’s power works in us.

God can use you right now. But are you ready? Will you let him use you? We have turned a corner in this world. We are in a new paradigm. Things are changing rapidly. The churches will either lose ground, or we will take back the ground we’ve already lost.

You must decide now! There is no time to sit and eat doughnuts, drink coffee, talking about the latest theology that, at best, is Sunday School nonsense. It’s time that we in the body of Christ take the power he has given us, and use it.

When I started filming ‘Last Evangelist,’ people would say, “Oh! It’s futuristic!” or “Oh! It’s like a sci-fi!” Now, if you read the script and see what’s going on in our world, you go: “Today is the future! Last Evangelist needs to catch up!”

The Antichrist machine is here, folks. Or course, he has a face and a name, but by the time you see it, the machine will have claimed 99% of the people on planet Earth! The machine has already been built. It is in action.

Persecution of the churches is nothing new. But the question that must be asked is, “If Jesus gave us all this power if he that is in us (Jesus) is greater than he that is in the world, then why are we going to be persecuted?”

Persecution is coming. It is here. It will be delivered in a way never seen before. When Jesus walked the earth, he talked of different types of persecution. One method is the taking down of online videos. I posted two videos that were taken down. One was on vaccines, which I believe opens the door to the Mark of the Beast, and the other was the idea a blow dryer could possibly cure COVID-19. I was joking on that one, but it was taken down. They said, “You are against what we believe.” Sure. I guess they don’t believe in blow dryers.

Each of us has a God-given purpose. The question is, “What are you going to do with it?” Will you be like the profitable servant with the five, or even two talents, who took the talents their lord gave them, and received an increase? Or will you be like the unprofitable servant who, with only one talent, buried his in the earth and did nothing? (Matthew 25:14-30)

Get in the fight for God. Stay in it. God is a faithful rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

PODCAST: Burnt by Hate, Responding with Love

“My heart just dropped.” Scott Carpenter said it was “devastating” to watch the riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. His father had started a business selling office furniture out of his garage 42 years ago. On Washington Watch with Tony Perkins, Scott explained how he had taken over the family business — that is, until the rioters burned his building and his entire inventory to the ground.

“We’re not getting rich over here,” he said. “We have a building, and inventory, and vehicles, and a couple of employees.” Scott said that Donald Trump, as a business owner, knows what it feels like “to have the rug pulled out from underneath your feet.”

Scott Carpenter and other families with small businesses have seen their life’s work and life’s savings literally go up in flames over the past weeks. “The building is gone. Everything in it gone,” said Scott. The Kenosha mayor has asked for $30 million to repair the damage to the city. Perhaps the celebrities donating millions of dollars to Black Lives Matter could put their fortunes to better use helping families rebuild their lives.

Meanwhile, Scott Carpenter has determined to respond to this hate-fueled destruction with the love of Christ. Listen to the interview to hear how he has used his burnt-out business to proclaim the gospel.

VIDEO: Spiritual Battle for America – Vote 2020 – Christians MUST Vote!

Tom Trento at the Spacecoast Dinner Event PRESENTED: Spiritual Battle for America – Vote 2020 – Christians MUST Vote!

Every legal citizen in these United States has a moral obligation to vote. Our founding fathers gave us a Constitutional Republic and it is our responsibility to vote our elected politicians, in and out of office, when they do and don’t represent one’s values. To deny that responsibility, many people view it as a sin.

God gave each of us the glorious gift of ‘Free Will’.

For any of us to not exercise our free will voting for those tasked with representing us, is a dangerous proposition. It is a dangerous proposition when two candidates are polar opposites in how they will govern and you sit on the sidelines forsaking your free will.

Joe Biden is a Marxist. Marxism at its core transforms the State into the countries religion. If you follow Judeo Christian principles then a Marxist becomes your political adversary because Marxism and Religious Freedom are incompatible. Conclusion: Christians, you have a moral obligation to vote in the protection of your faith while living here in the United States of America.

I’m casting my vote for President Trump in November.

2020 Elections: A Battle Between Darkness and Light

The Deeply Pessimistic Intellectual Roots of Black Lives Matter, 1619 Project, and Much Else in Woke America

VIDEO: The Vortex — Jesus 2020

With one major problem.

TRANSCRIPT

Campaign 2020 has got to go down as one of the most strange-yet-noteworthy elections in practically all of the country’s history. It’s strange for the same reason it’s also noteworthy: America is, at long last, having to face, head-on, what we could call its “God problem.”

On the one side are amassed the political forces of atheism — the anti-God crowd. Most of them are honest enough at least to admit that. Party leaders, on the other hand, still give religion a tiny bit of lip service, but if you look just below the surface, it’s a deflection meant to ensnare a few gullible, low-information voters.

So at their convention, it was a hit-or-miss proposition if the phrase “under God” would be recited or dropped each night during the Pledge of Allegiance.

The one side consists of straight-up anti-God Marxists (led by a phony Catholic). Check that box. So on the other side, it would be neat if you could simply say, “We are the God forces” — a kind of political version of God’s army. It would be good, but it wouldn’t be accurate.

There is, to be certain, a vague sense of religiosity, of understanding that morality and virtue and so forth are on the ballot much more than they have ever been. There are discussions about America needing to return to God, discussions which have been heard for years but are much more amplified this election.

In fact, tens of thousands of yard signs that say “Jesus 2020” are being produced and shipped all over the country. The old lines that “They are flying off the shelves” and “We can’t keep them in stock” are swirling around, creating the newest political phenomenon in an already strange campaign.

So, at first glance, this appears good. What self-respecting Christian would disagree with the need for Christ to be the center of our political (and thus national) life? But there’s a snake coiled up under the table here, and it’s been there a long time, waiting to strike. This election is its moment.

“Jesus” means different things to different supposed followers. And America, as a nation, was established to allow this to be the case. Whatever you want to believe and ascribe to religion, you can — the correctness or incorrectness of your opinion be damned. What matters is that I can believe. What I believe and hold dear and sacred is unimportant.

And what’s more, it’s none of the government’s business. “Religious liberty,” it’s called in principle, and “separation of Church and State” is what it is termed in practice. But Houston, we have a problem. This governing principle denies truth. It makes religion become a matter of personal opinion.

Creeds may be believed. But the substances of the creeds are wrong, not to mention contradictory. This is why, on the “God side” of politics, there is such discord. For example, many Trump supporters are all down with the gay agenda; they have no problem whatsoever with same-sex “marriage” and so forth.

But inside the same camp are those who are not down with it — at all. Yet they are all backing the same candidate, who himself appears to be at least indifferent to it. The morality of homosexuality seldom comes up as a topic, or perhaps, better stated, seldom is allowed to be brought up on the God side. That would not be politically prudent.

And besides, my Jesus is okay with it, even if your Jesus isn’t. The same is true with a host of moral or religious topics — yes, even including abortion, and yes, on the God side. There is no lockstep uniformity in God’s army regarding abortion. It’s all over the map.

Sure, it’s certainly more pro-life or anti-abortion compared to the Marxist side (which definitely is uniform and lockstep on this). But comparing yourself to a party that believes in and wants to codify infanticide is a pretty low bar. The Democrat-Marxists are so low, it’s impossible to be lower. It’s hard to fall off the gutter.

The combination of solid Marxist unity on the anti-God side and lack of unity on the God side is precisely what has allowed the Marxists to bring their revolution to your streets, your front doors. So the question needs to be asked: Why doesn’t God’s side have unity? The answer is that, from the very beginning, an error was accepted into the political fabric — the error that people are free to believe whatever they want about God, and that somewhere down the road, this wasn’t going to present a massive problem in how society orders itself.

As we said, the snake is coiled up under the table. Eventually, sooner or later, it’s going to bite you. The old political logic that people vote “according to their wallets” is actually true, not on its own. People vote according to their beliefs in the supernatural — according to whether they believe or not.

That’s why the clearest predictor of how a person will vote is how he understands or accepts the things of eternity. Those who don’t vote Democrat; those who do vote Republican. But look at this for a moment: The “God or religion don’t matter” crowd; for them, it’s a simple, straight-up choice. There’s not a lot of gray.

But on the God side, gray is king. There is no solid basis — no firm foundation — from which to view the universe and understand your place in it. Religious pluralism is what has brought America to the point of collapse, perhaps even to the point of civil war in some form.

In this, the U.S. bishops have been complicit for decades. They’ve been content to sit back and talk about ecumenism and getting along with our “separated brothers and sisters.” What they’ve not done is present the truth; they’ve swept it under the rug or kicked the can down the road, take your pick.

They’ve spent so many years — decades — trying to get along, trying to get a seat at the table, to be accepted that they’ve sacrificed everything of the Faith. They’ve given up and handed over the divine truths of the Catholic faith.

And it’s even worse: They don’t even believe privately that Catholicism is the one true Faith. They’d laugh you out of the room if you broached that subject, that truth. What’s important is that we all get along, we all coexist, we all pray together when we can, we all “worship” together when we can, we join common forces in this cause or that.

And every step of the way, Catholics give up a little bit of themselves — here and there, bit by bit until, well, the Faith no longer exists (or doesn’t matter). After all, we’re all Christian right? This watering down, the great dilution, is what has allowed the likes of James Martin to become, in practice, the pope of America.

The Faith has been substituted for the lie that “All creeds hold equal weight.” They don’t. They never have, and they never will. Catholics were hoodwinked by a bunch of misguided, weak men in miters back in the day (who were so desperate to get along that they went along with the dismantling of the Church).

The idea of evangelizing and converting what was at one time “Protestant America” was abandoned in pretty short order. Some historical figures in the Church tried, to be certain (Abp. Sheen being perhaps the most notable or visible), but without a collective effort, it was bound to fail.

More than struggling to get to Heaven, what was important was fellowship on the road to Hell. And so, now the nation has descended into a kind of political Hell and engages in the politics of Hell. So, sure, yard signs promoting Jesus 2020 are cool and all that, for what they’re worth.

But if people who claim to be followers of Christ don’t nail down who Jesus is objectively and what He specifically taught and come to a clear understanding of which religion He personally established, then none of it really matters.

“Jesus” is too elastic in America; that’s why everyone who wants to can claim Him for their cause or side. In the end, it’s true — it all comes down to atheism vs. Catholicism. There are no other “sides.” It’s complete non-truth vs. fullness of truth. And that’s how truth rolls. A half-truth is still a full lie.

If Trump wins, Catholics who actually believe — not the bishops, not the dissidents, but actual Catholics — have got a massive row to hoe, decades of errors and lies to begin undoing. Sadly (for Catholics at least), the errors and lies they will have to fight are the ones they’ve heard from their own pulpits for decades.

America is on the brink because of the failure of the Catholic hierarchy to fight when the fight would have been much easier. Trump winning will only be the opening salvo in the real fight that needs to be fought.

Court Win for Professor Sued by Muslim Student, Punished by College Over Terrorism Course

A federal court has ruled in favor of a professor thrown under the bus by his public college after a Muslim student claimed the Islamic terrorism portion of a world politics class violated his Constitutional rights. The course is offered at Scottsdale Community College (SCC) in Arizona, which is part of the Maricopa County Community College District. It is taught by Nicholas Damask, a veteran professor who organizes the course into six modules that cover world politics. One is dedicated to defining and analyzing Islamic terrorism. Students are required to read excerpts from a book called “Future Jihad” written by a Lebanese-born Middle East expert who has worked with the U.S. departments of Justice, Defense and State.

A Muslim student, Mohamed Sabra, sued Professor Damask and the Maricopa County Community College District in June for violating his First Amendment right by supposedly condemning his religion. In the complaint, filed by the terrorist front group Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Sabra demands that Damask stop teaching the materials in question until they “do not have the primary effect of disapproving of Islam.” Founded in 1994 by three Middle Eastern extremists (Omar Ahmad, Nihad Awad and Rafeeq Jaber) who ran the American propaganda wing of Hamas, CAIR was named as a co-conspirator in a federal terror-finance case involving the Hamas front group Holy Land Foundation. In a statement announcing the lawsuit against the Arizona college district, CAIR alleges that Sabra “was punished for refusing to agree with an anti-Muslim professor’s unconstitutional condemnations of Islam during a Political Science class” and that he was forced to disavow his religion.

Like many taxpayer-funded academic institutions nationwide, SCC caved into the left’s demands and administrators quickly apologized and tried to pressure the professor into signing an apology letter written by the college’s marketing team. The Maricopa County Community College District also caved in, launching an investigation and warning that the content of Damask’s course would be reviewed for “insensitivities.” Damask, who has taught world politics for more than two decades, stood up to his employer and refused to apologize. He eventually contacted a group dedicated to defending rights such as freedom of speech and religion, due process and legal equality at America’s colleges and universities. The nonprofit, Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), sent a letter to SCC’s president pointing out that the school’s actions—as well as the district’s—were flatly inconsistent with the college’s First Amendment obligations and the basic tenets of academic freedom. “Further, the implication that Damask is being investigated by the college’s governing board will have an impermissible chilling effect on faculty expression and teaching,” the letter states. Publicly committing Damask to apologizing and a mandate that the content in question will be removed from his course is alarming and inconsistent with his rights to freedom of expression and academic freedom under both the First Amendment and Arizona law, according to FIRE.

This month a federal court settled the issue, dismissing the lawsuit against the professor and the community college district, which has 10 campuses. In the ruling Judge Susan Brnovich writes that a curriculum that “merely conflicts with a student’s religious beliefs does not violate the Free Exercise Clause.” She also writes that the Muslim student was not required to adopt the views expressed by the professor or the course’s required reading, but only to demonstrate an understanding of the material taught. “Mr. Sabra was simply exposed to attitudes and outlooks at odds with his own religious perspective,” the ruling states. Appointed to the bench by President Donald Trump in 2018, Judge Brnovich also writes this in her order: “Examining the course as a whole, a reasonable, objective observer would conclude that the teaching’s primary purpose was not the inhibition of religion. Only in picking select quotes from the course can one describe the module as anti-Islam.”

VIDEO: MARXIST PRIESTS — And they hate Trump.

TRANSCRIPT

Church Militant (a 501(c)4 corporation) is responsible for the content of this commentary.

My oh my — there is nothing formerly hidden that is not being revealed, is there? First, let’s give credit where credit is due. It is Donald J. Trump who has caused this sea change in American politics (and all the ensuing fallout).

Mr. Trump goes to Washington and blows it up. As his daughter said last week while introducing him before his acceptance speech, “Washington didn’t change Donald Trump. Donald Trump changed Washington.” He certainly did change it. He made all the phonies expose themselves — no easy task that.

If you want to see the real face of your enemy then keep pushing their buttons until they blow up and become enraged. Well, that is exactly what the “button-pusher-in-chief” has done with the Marxists who used to be very sneaky and quiet hanging out in the shadows doing all their damage.

All the disguises have been dropped because Trump has become the supreme “troll,” and his trolling has pushed the Marxists into an absolute, unhinged rage. And we’re not just talking about the Nancys and Chucks and Jimmys of the world.

We’re talking about all their aging Woodstock, boomer, hippie pals who — like a swarm of termites — have slowly and little by little eaten away at the foundations of not just America but also the Church. For decades, Marxist-minded, pro-homosexual, virtue-signaling, faith-hating men have been ordained to the Catholic priesthood and have busily gone about their demonic work of destroying people’s faith.

They’ve destroyed it precisely by redirecting the thoughts of the laity from the things of Heaven to the things of earth. Substitute morality is what’s going on. It has been going on for decades. Substitute morality is the practice of switching out the Cross for the feel-good actions that make you feel morally superior.

So, it’s okay to, say, support abortion as long as you sign an online petition against climate change, or to vote for a child killer as long as you down deep — really down deep — support illegal immigration (just so long as illegal immigrants aren’t in your neighborhood).

These social justice warriors, Marxists all, are swarming around the Catholic priesthood to a degree that is both revolting and astounding at the same time. Take, for example, Fr. Kenneth Boller, a Jesuit (of course he’s a Jesuit) at the homosexual parish in Manhattan, St. Francis Xavier.

At a Mass last Sunday, this priest had the gall to inflict his Marxism and communism-inspired race-war creed on those at Mass. That’s revolting. Not just because it’s promoting class warfare but because the sacred is being profaned to advance the cause of Marxism.

And yes, if you were thinking, “What are pictures of George Floyd doing on the altar?” that’s how bad this substitute morality has become — even substituting God for man, which, of course, is the point of Marxism. But the vomit spewing from Catholic sanctuaries doesn’t end there in Manhattan.

Let’s shift to Scranton, Pennsylvania, where registered Democrat (“Party of Death”) bishop Joseph Bambera promotes the downplaying of Catholic teaching in a number of areas in a number of ways. For example, Fr. John Polednak (who is an episcopal vicar and close with Bambera) deliberately mixes both sides of the abortion issue to arrive at that they are both wrong.

Uh, excuse us Father, but when it comes to slaughtering children in the womb, yes, it is that simple. And how dare you stand in the vestments of the high priest and sully His teaching by pretending that people who fight to defend the most innocent, defenseless of human beings don’t really get it in the same way the child killers don’t.

You (and many like you) are a filthy, rotten disgrace to the priesthood — as well as your bishop and others like him who are enemies of Christ. Have some damn integrity, and leave the Church in the body since you’ve already left it in the soul.

It’s men like you and your gay-friendly bishop who have destroyed this nation with your watered-down, middle-of-the-road, seamless-garment feces. That entire seamless-garment rot, the idea that all life issues have the same weight, was foisted onto the Church by a homopredator — satanic Cdl. Joseph Bernardin of Chicago.

And it continues to be poured into the minds of millions of Catholics by similar men like Chicago’s latest cardinal, Blase Cupich, who, again, abuses his office by putting not having a job on the same level as being sliced into pieces and sucked out of the womb.

These men are devils in robes — every last one of them. And they are legion. Literally. Here’s another one who at least has some degree of integrity to say what he actually means, which is that abortion is okay. Fr. Paul Garrity of Boston caused an uproar on social media when he posted that being pro-choice (AKA in favor of infant slaughter) is okay and that Catholics should vote for Joe Biden.

Only after the uproar was Cdl. Sean O’Malley forced to step in and slap him on the wrist and say priests have a duty to uphold the teachings of the Church for the laity. Duh. And if they don’t, they should be excommunicated because they are Marxists. More to the point, however, they are in league with Satan because they promote the lie.

Telling a publicly pro-abortion priest he shouldn’t say that on social media is like taking the knife out of the hand of a serial killer standing over a bloodied corpse and saying he shouldn’t stab people but then letting him go. This spiritual insanity in the Church has got to be opposed in the most certain manner that it can.

These Marxist clerics have burrowed into the very marrow of the Church’s bones, and they are everywhere destroying souls. In fact, destroying souls is their only purpose for existence. That’s why they won’t leave the Church. Their collars give them access to souls they otherwise would not have.

And that reality speaks volumes about the men who leave them in power, continuing to give them access to souls. What about these bishops and cardinals? At some point, it has to be concluded that they agree with their priests’ actions and motives because they do nothing to stop the spiritual carnage.

And moreover, their refusal to act is not just a neutral action. It is a positive act of spiritual destruction. To not stop an evil you can prevent is to be complicit in that evil. These wicked clergymen are legion in the Church because this has been the plan all along: Quietly invade and tip the scales, and keep tipping the scales until they weigh in favor of Marxism.

Then, when the moment is right, strike. So far, they have been able to do much damage without revealing themselves. And then, along came Trump. The entire Marxist Left — in D.C. and the Church — collectively exploded, unmasking before they had originally planned.

Remember, there’s no reason to go to open war when you can simply keep advancing and conquering everything in sight without firing a single shot. These diabolical clerics, these devil priests, have grabbed hold of nearly all the real estate the Church possesses.

The resistance, authentic believers, have been pushed back and back and marginalized and demonized and surrounded as this pack of wolves moves in for the kill. And it was all possible because those wolves were disguised as sheep. Trump came along and ripped off their wool, revealing their fangs.

Ilhan Omar, CAIR Slam MSNBC’s Joy Reid As ‘Islamophobic’

Rep. Ilhan Omar, civil rights attorneys, and advocate organizations have slammed MSNBC propagandist Joy Reid after the network host compared the behavior of President Trump supporters to “the way Muslims act.”

“When leaders, let’s say in the Muslim world, talk a lot of violent talk and encourage their supporters to be willing to commit violence including on their own bodies in order to win against whoever they decide is the enemy, we in the U.S. media describe that as they are ‘radicalizing’ these people, particularly when they’re radicalizing young people,” Reid said to a panel of guests. “That’s how we talk about the way Muslims act. When you see what Donald Trump is doing, is that any different from what we describe as radicalizing people?”

“Honestly, this kinda of casual Islamophobia is hurtful and dangerous,” Rep. Omar later tweeted. “We deserve better and an apology for the painful moment for so many Muslims around our country should be forthcoming.” Zakir Khan of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Oregon, said Reid’s remarks were “so unbelievably Islamophobic it’s ridiculous.”

“This isn’t even subtle,” civil rights lawyer Zahra Billoo tweeted. “It’s blatant Islamophobia @JoyAnnReid.” Muslim Advocates, a civil rights organization, has called for an apology for “spreading the false, dangerous myth that Muslims are inherently radical and violent.”

In July 2019, Omar introduced a House Resolution supporting the BDS movement and comparing Israel to apartheid South Africa and Nazi Germany. Co-sponsored by fellow Democrats Rashida Tlaib and John Lewis, the resolution called on House members to oppose “unconstitutional legislative efforts to limit the use of boycotts to further civil rights at home and abroad,” a reference to resolutions that had been passed in several states to prohibit the granting of government contracts to companies that backed BDS. “We are introducing a resolution … to really speak about the American values that support and believe in our ability to exercise our first amendment rights in regard to boycotting,” said Omar. “And it is an opportunity for us to explain why it is we support a nonviolent movement, which is the BDS movement.”
