Anna Eskamani, representative of Florida’s 42nd district, criticized the protesters on X: “Sad to report that Nazi scum and losers are back in Winter Park, holding their disgusting flags and banner. Working with local officials to see what options we have for accountability.”

Legal experts analyzed what they called “breathtaking” civil penalties against former President Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, former Trump Organization Comptroller Jeffrey McConney and ex-CFO Allen Weisselberg – warning other corporations based in the Empire State may realize they could suddenly be put out of business by the state on a political whim.
New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron found Trump liable for more than $350 million in damages in the fraud suit brought against him and his company by New York State Democratic District Attorney Letitia James.
Trump Sr., the Trump Revocable Trust and Trump Organization were found liable for $60 million, while Trump’s sons and Weisselberg were found liable for $4.01 million each – and Trump Sr. plus several entities including the Trump Organization and the LLC signifying Trump’s Chicago hotel were banned from applying for loans with institutions registered with New York for three years.
The three Trump family members were also banned from serving as executives of any business or legal entity based in New York for a similar length – which is key, as the Trump Organization is housed at its iconic tower at 5 Av and E. 57th Street.

In that regard, former Bush White House press secretary Ari Fleischer told Fox News the ban may spur Trump to relocate his entire business empire to Florida, just as he has his primary residence.
“If you’re Eric [or] Donald Junior, what are you going to do?” he asked.
“[Y]ou just say goodbye to New York, which fits a pattern that many successful people have been doing and leaving New York because New York is just too political, too blue and too punitive – you’re seeing that in the business community and among upper income New Yorkers already,” he said – adding the state’s crime wave accentuates the issue.
George Washington University Law Prof. Jonathan Turley further commented to Fox News that Engoron appeared to compound the highest fine figures in most of the areas adjudicated – noting that New York’s civil law in this area is unique because the proverbial crime can essentially be victimless.
“[It’s] an odd one because it does not require that anyone actually lose money. And so James was able to come in here with this [fraud] figure, and she kept on going up.”
Turley said the public and other legal officials may indeed take note of Trump world’s penalty, because, “when you’re imposing fines larger than the budget of some countries, you really have to wonder whether you’ve allowed your thoughts to run away with your judgment.”
“It’s one of the greatest ironies of this case: In the name of protecting businesses in New York, you probably just led to hundreds of businesses looking at potential rentals in Florida because they look and they go, ‘wow, if we fall on the wrong side of the politics in New York, they could sell us off for spare parts’.”
Fleischer noted that New York’s justice system has descended into a quasi-political entity, in that liberals and Democrats have been placed at the highest levers of power for the past few decades.
AP’s review of nearly 150 reported cases since New York’s “repeated fraud” statute was passed in 1956 showed that nearly every previous time a company was taken away, victims and losses were key factors. Customers had lost money or bought defective products or never received services ordered, leaving them cheated and angry.
What’s more, businesses were taken over almost always as a last resort to stop a fraud in progress and protect potential victims. They included a phony psychologist who sold dubious treatments, a fake lawyer who sold false claims he could get students into law school, and businessmen who marketed financial advice but instead swindled people out of their home deeds.
“This is a basically a death penalty for a business,” said a Columbia University law professor, Eric Talley. “Is he getting his just desserts … or because people don’t like him?”
In a scathing rebuke of a New York Judge’s decision to fine Donald Trump a staggering $355 million, the entrepreneur and media personality Kevin O’Leary minced no words, denouncing the ruling as “unjust,” “appalling” and ultimately “un-American.”
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron’s Friday ruling not only slapped Trump with that hefty fine, but also with a temporary ban from conducting business in his native New York.
O’Leary, known for his role on “Shark Tank,” lambasted the decision, arguing that it sets a dangerous precedent for the entire real estate industry.
O’Leary had previously been critical of the months-long fraud case in the media, saying on CNN recently that, “I don’t think this thing will ever survive appeal regardless of what the fine is. This doesn’t even make sense.”
“That fact that he was found guilty, you might as well find guilty every real estate developer on Earth,” O’Leary said in an exclusive interview with The Post.

But it’s not just America. It’s Western civilization as a whole that is withering. And when civilizations implode, everyone suffers. The good, the bad, and the indifferent.
Many of my Christian friends say not to worry, everything will work itself out just fine. God’s in control. I read history and see that just because God is in control doesn’t mean that His followers won’t suffer persecution, even to the point of death.
But there is a difference between dying for your faith and dying just because you walked into an unfortunate situation in a public space that you thought was safe. Maybe it always was safe before, but now isn’t. Or, maybe you discover the hard way that your home appeared as low-hanging fruit for a professional criminal or gang of criminals. They attack and you’re caught off guard.
What I’m saying is, the world is about to become a much more dangerous place, both at home and abroad.
What starts in Europe eventually comes here, and civil uprisings are gaining steam across the European continent. France, Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy and Spain have all seen tremendous civil unrest as people are waking up to the global con being waged against them by power-hungry globalist Luciferians using the climate as a their excuse to drastically curtail freedoms of speech, press, assembly and movement, not to mention privacy invasions.
Farmers have been protesting against globalist climate policies in all of the above countries. And migrant populations have been also getting restless.
In the Netherlands last night, there were migrant riots with a little-reported connection to the United States. You won’t find any of this reported in the mainstream press but keep reading and you will see what I’m talking about on how now is the time to wake up and prepare for what’s coming.
At least four police officers were hurt during a riot that erupted on the streets outside The Hague on Saturday night, February 17, after two rival groups of Eritrean migrants clashed following a political disagreement.
Rioters torched police cars and a bus, and Dutch police officers were forced to use tear gas to regain control of the area.
Dozens of rioters were filmed surrounding the Opera Conference Hall in the Netherlands, as multiple police vans raced to the scene.
Another clip also showed the aftermath. The building had several smashed windows and parked vehicles were set on fire. The street was left looking like a war zone.
According to The Hague Municipality spokesman Robin Middel, a fight broke out between two groups of Eritreans that got “seriously out of hand.”
Police said that during the riots, two officers sustained injuries to their hand and another to her teeth. A fourth was hit by a police car in the chaos.
Now, for the U.S. connection.
Independent journalist Andy Ngo reported on X Saturday night that over 200 Eritrean migrants were holding a sympathy protest in Charlotte, North Carolina, for their brothers overseas and that protest also turned violent.

So, you can add this to the growing list of American cities experiencing migrant violence. And it’s only going to get worse until we start seeing mass deportations. But I don’t hear any politicians talking much about mass deportations, do you? So don’t expect things to improve.
One other city where migrant crime is raging is the nation’s largest, New York City.
Violent illegals have formed gangs and are making their presence known across the Big Apple, and the police are just now starting to form a response. But they’re fighting a losing battle, because the Soros prosecutors working in New York are reportedly letting the criminal migrant gang members back out on the streets as soon as they get arrested.
Now turn to Ohio, where earlier this month Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones announced he was making some major changes in his department to prepare for a future of intense gang-related migrant crimes and potential terrorist attacks. He is acutely aware of the 37,000 Chinese nationals who crossed into the U.S. from Mexico last year seeking asylum. Another 20,000 have entered already in 2024. That’s a 57,000-man Chinese army assembled here inside America, potentially forming sleeper cells and awaiting their orders to attack. Author and China expert Gordon Chang recently wrote about this in an article for the Gatestone Institute.
Below are Chinese migrants practicing their shooting skills.
Jones announced the changes after getting back to Butler County from a National Sheriff Association meeting in Washington D.C. where he said they heard from the FBI director on terrorism threats.
“We were told by the FBI director, it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when,” Jones said.
He wants to make sure Butler County is prepared so he said he’s equipping every sheriff’s department vehicle with a rifle and a “go bag,” which has extra magazines for the rifles and other necessities.
Jones also announced he’s working to boost security by looking into drone detection technology for the sheriff’s office.
“We’re looking at maybe squad training. We train for school shootings, what to do when we get there, mall shootings. We’re going to look at things a little differently,” he said.
The steps Jones is taking go beyond his department too. He’s working to make sure community members have the tools they need too.
“We’re going to start training civilians on what to do when disasters hit and emergencies hit,” he said.
This country is about to see changes that almost nobody is expecting.
We need to start taking these threats seriously. Here are some ideas on how to start.
Talk to your sheriff and ask what he is doing to prepare for a much more violent America. Ask him what you can do to help.
Make sure you have a means of self-defense inside your home and seek out training on how to use said weapon. Some sheriffs offer this training for free.
If you can afford a guard dog, get one (I know they cost a lot to feed and care for so don’t go down this road if you are already struggling to support your family).
There are other things you can do, many of them for very little money, to upgrade your security situation and tighten up the perimeter of your property. Think about installing solar motion lights around your property. Put up security signs and a “beware of dog” sign (even if you don’t have a dog or your pooch is small and friendly).
Add peep holes to your exterior doors so you can see who’s knocking.
Upgrade the hinges latches and locks on exterior doors with deadbolts and replace shorter screws with 3-inch screws. A professional criminal can always kick in your door but you want him to have to kick it several times before gaining entry as this gives you more time to get in a position of safety with your family.
Have a family plan on how to react if you hear someone trying to break into your home or see someone lurking outside who isn’t supposed to be there.
Stock up on water and food but also think about a situation that could last three months or longer in which you will need to be able to filter water and grow some of your own food.
Get at least three 5-gallon containers and fill them with gasoline.
Make sure you have all of the basic hand tools and supplies you need. Things like duct tape, shovels, hoes, hammers, screw drivers, a good ax and/or hatchet.
A major component of preparation involves the way you think about things. Don’t live in denial. Don’t fall victim to normalcy bias. This is not the old America anymore. Living in denial could get you or a family member needlessly killed.
Most of what you need can be found at your local sporting goods stores, outdoor stores and hardware stores.
Now is the time to get started on your personal home security plan. If you wait too long, you will not find any of the tools or supplies necessary to harden your home’s perimeter. Once the violence escalates to a certain point, you also may find the shelves of your local sporting goods store and hardware store becoming bare.
Remember, when you need the police to arrive in seconds, they will be there in minutes. You are responsible for your family’s security.

X user Chicago1Ray, who appears to be a Midwest truck driver, shared a video late Friday night detailing that a number of truck drivers will begin denying loads to NYC on Monday.

The president of the NCEE was Marc Tucker, who right after Bill Clinton won the presidency in November 1992 wrote a letter to Hillary Clinton saying this would give them a chance to implement their “cradle-to-grave” plan for all Americans.
The following year, at the July 2–5, 1993 NEA’s national convention, President Clinton addressed the delegates and thanked the NEA for “the gift of our assistant secretary,” referring to long-time NEA activist Sharon Robinson, who became U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education for the Office of Education Research and Improvement (OERI, where I had worked in the Reagan administration). President Clinton went on to say that he believed his goals for America closely parallel those of the NEA, further stating: “And I believe that the president of this organization would say we have had the partnership I promised in the campaign of 1992, and we will continue to have it…. You and I are joined in a common cause, and I believe we will succeed.” On December 15, 1993, EDUCATION WEEK reported that “Debra DeLee, the former director of governmental relations for the NEA, has joined the Democratic National Committee as its executive director.”
During the 1990s and the Clinton presidency, Outcome-Based Education (OBE) was being emphasized. Its father was William Spady, who said OBE took three forms: Traditional (not very different from former educational practices), Transitional (where education would transition to the final goal of), Transformational Education, which emphasized changing children’s values.
As parents became more aware of what OBE was trying to do, it ran into increasing disfavor, and the planners of our future had to come up with a different tactic. Therefore in 2008, the Hunt Institute (named for formerly mentioned N.C. Governor Jim Hunt) at N.C. State University began to develop what would come to be known as the Common Core (CC) curriculum. It would not take long for parents to realize that CC was not benefiting many students, causing them to not reach proficiency on the National Assessment of Educational Progress. The population would become increasingly “dumbed down” as former Reagan administration OERI member Charlotte Iserbyt called them. This has resulted in “an unaware citizenry,” which has become more and more manipulable or “compliant” (giving up some freedoms after the 9/11 attacks, and now taking COVID-19 vaccine shots apparently every year, etc.).
Education is a business, and every business has a business model. When the business of education in America functioned from its original mission of teaching basic skills and foundational knowledge, it had meritocracy as its infrastructure, competency and achievement as primary objectives, and the protection and preservation of our constitutional republic as its goal.
The weaponization of education for political gain is facilitating former president Barack Obama’s pledge to fundamentally transform the United States of America. Obama’s Marxist business model completed the shift of American education, institutionalizing government schools as the agents of change committed to transforming America from a constitutional republic to a socialist society.
The globalist social engineers in charge of America’s education business model will then use socialism’s centralized government control to move America from socialism into globalism’s totalitarian planetary Unistate, 21st-century feudalism. How will this be accomplished? The answer lies in an extraordinary unclassified report from the Defense Documentation Center for Scientific and Technical Information. The report, written by Don D. Bushnell, submitted on March 27, 1963, is titled “The Effects of Electronic Data Processing in Future Instructional Systems.”[ii] It is a stunning document and an essential reference. The report is available in its entirety online.
Please keep in mind that Bushnell was reporting on the future capabilities of computer technology for education and its potential application to change attitudes. Bushnell’s 1963 report forecast the exploitation and weaponization of American education today.
Of particular interest for our discussion are pages 3 and 4 under the heading “Effortless Learning, Attitude Changing, and Training in Decision Making”:
In 1960, Dr. S. Seshu, Professor of Electrical Engineering at Syracuse University, conceived of the penultimate teaching machine as an electronic transducer or input system which transfers factual information stored on punched cards or magnetic tape directly into human memory. This would be accomplished without preliminary processing of the information by the visual or aural senses. “All that we need to do,” suggests Seshu, “is find the input terminals in the human brain and the necessary code––the gadgetry is trivial.” His contention is that the basic trouble with the teaching machine or any modern learning method, is that the input is fed in at the wrong place. When the input to the brain arrives visually or aurally, it is often distorted or lost in the transference process. What is needed is a transducer capable of transferring information to the human memory with the same ease and accuracy of data being transferred into the memory of an IBM 7090. Recognizing the major barriers yet to be surmounted by the physiological psychologist, it is conceivable that such a machine may eventually exist. The question arises: should the effortless learning machine teach beyond the limits of factual data? IF the student can assimilate information without error, shouldn’t the teacher also steep him in the culture, train him in the proper professional attitudes, and thoroughly ground him in the scientific method as a way of life? It is difficult to know where the responsible instructor would leave off in the use of this effective tool.
Another area of potential development in computer applications is the attitude-changing machine. Dr. Bertram Raven, in the Psychology Department at the University of California at Los Angeles, is in the process of building a computer-based device for changing attitudes. This device will work on the principle that students’ attitudes can be effectively changed by using the Socratic method of asking an appropriate series of leading questions logically designed to right the balance between appropriate attitudes and those deemed less acceptable. For instance, after first determining a student’s constellation of attitudes through appropriate testing procedures, the machine would calculate which attitudes are out of phase and which of these are amenable to change. If the student was opposed to foreign trade, for example, and a favorable disposition were sought, the machine would select an appropriate series of statements and questions organized to right the imbalance in the student’s attitudes. The machine, for instance, would have detected that the student liked President Kennedy and was against the spread of communism; therefore, the student would be shown that JFK favored foreign trade and that foreign trade to underdeveloped countries helped to arrest the communist infiltration of these governments. If the student’s attitudes toward Kennedy and against communism were sufficiently strong, Dr. Raven would hypothesize that a positive change in attitude toward foreign trade would be effectively brought about by showing the student the inconsistency of his views. There is considerable evidence that such techniques do effectively change attitudes. The question arises: what is the appropriate subject material, or “attitudes,” in this instance, with which to indoctrinate the student?
One further example: At the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., a psychological research program is underway to study the problems of training a student in decision-making skills. A special purpose computer and display equipment will present the student with a series of numerical problems designed to test the student’s ability to make good decisions at maximum speed.
Admittedly, training in decision-making skills is a legitimate goal of education in this age of automation, but the problem remains––does the educator know what values to attach to the different outcomes of these decisions? What about the students whose values are out of line with the acceptable values of democratic society? Should they be taught to conform to someone else’s accepted judgment of proper values? Training in decision making is ultimately compounded with training in value judgment and, as such, becomes a controversial subject that needs to be resolved by educators before the tools can be put to use. Progress must be made not only in data-processing technology, but in our knowledge of educational requirements. Automation requires a clear, operational statement of objectives to be accomplished by the system being automated. The research must be directed toward discovering optimal combinations of instructional techniques to produce these behaviors.
Bushnell documented how computers could be used to propagandize students and teach them what to think, rather than how to think. That is precisely what is being done in schools across America today, beginning in preschool and extending to advanced degrees in graduate programs.
For sixty years the programs and algorithms have been refined to the precision instruments they are today. The computerized education students receive today is programmed to persuade them to reject Americanism and embrace socialism.

That’s the story this week, after the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) launched ads in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, Ohio and Montana to educate Americans about the Administration’s back-door EV mandate. Mr. Biden is “rushing to ban new gas-powered cars” and wants “to force you into an electric vehicle,” one ad says.
The Biden team doth protest. “There is no EV mandate,” a Biden campaign official declared. No? The Environmental Protection Agency has proposed greenhouse gas emissions standards that would effectively require that EVs make up two-thirds of auto maker sales by 2032. The standards will “accelerate the transition to electric vehicles,” EPA said.
EPA’s proposed emissions rules are so stringent that auto makers will be able to comply only by producing an increasing number of “zero-emission vehicles” or by buying regulatory credits from EV manufacturers like Tesla
. Americans shopping for a new car will have no choice but to buy an EV or pay a fortune for the few gas-powered cars still available.
Yet Mr. Biden and his allies don’t want voters to know that banning gas-powered cars is their end game. That’s why the progressive umbrella group Climate Power on Tuesday shot off a missive to broadcasters demanding that they pull the AFPM ads—or else. These “advertisements include obvious lies aimed at deceiving the public and must be pulled from the air immediately,” Climate Power chief operating officer Jill Shesol wrote. But who’s actually trying to deceive the public?
The letter cites a PolitiFact report claiming it is “wrong to say there is a ‘Biden mandate’ to replace gasoline-powered cars with [electric vehicles].” PolitiFact is a liberal opinion operation. Was it also wrong for the New York Times
last May to report that EPA’s proposed rule is “designed to ramp up sales of electric vehicles while ending the use of gasoline-powered cars”?
“The EPA does not have the authority to demand such a mandate,” the Climate Power letter says. Correct, which is why the EPA is using regulation to impose the de facto mandate. The Obama Administration similarly tried to force a transition to renewable power by setting unfeasible emissions standards for fossil-fuel power plants.
Climate Power warns local broadcasters that the Federal Communications Commission could pull their licenses if they continue broadcasting the ads. “Failure to prevent the airing of ‘false and misleading advertising’ may be ‘probative of an underlying abdication of licensee responsibility’ that can be cause for the loss of a station’s license,’” the letter says.
EDF Action on Tuesday also sent stations a letter claiming that the AFPM ad “appears to be a deliberate attempt to tarnish the politicians . . . who may support policies that reduce air pollution and save lives.” But President Biden isn’t trying to reduce air pollution or save lives, and the EPA rule doesn’t aim to do either.
Opponents of “cleaner alternatives,” the letter adds, “do not have the right to mislead voters and spread disinformation on public airwaves.” But they do have a First Amendment right to critique public policies that damage their livelihoods.

With all the bad news we are deluged with, sometimes we lose sight of the fact that a very interesting person can be living just down the street.
I was checking the local paper to see if there was an Obit posted for a neighbor who died unexpectedly. I didn’t see it so I perused some others. In the process, I came across a wonderful eulogy. (Out of respect for her family’s privacy I will not mention her real name and will exclude some personal info.) Here is what I read…
Sophia Smith, “A Beautifully Aged Red”, of Raleigh, NC, age 94, passed away beautifully and peacefully after a brief illness on January 31st, 2024, and went to see her God, her friend, Jesus, joined her daughter, Betty, and all the loved ones that were waiting for her. She was surrounded by family and wonderful, wonderful caregivers.
Her great-grandson, Stone, age 5, said she was “the oldest and wisest person” he knows. She was born June 5, 1929, and raised in Rocky Mount to William Jones and Maudie Murphy. She was the baby girl and the most competitive of six children. Sophia made her own merry-go-round and see-saw when she was a child.
She graduated with honors from Rocky Mount High School, was a Girl Scout, a member of the Beta Club, and voted The Best Guard in Girls Basketball in the county. Although she had opportunities to move away, she chose to be the caretaker of her parents throughout their lives and remained in NC.
She grew up during the Depression and knew the value of the small things that added up to the big things. Growing up in the country she could cut down trees, roof a house, pick cotton, barn tobacco, skin a possum, shoot a squirrel, and catch catfish. Sophia could catch two fish at a time. She said, “If it’s big enough to bite my hook, it’s big enough to stink my pan.” She loved gardening and yard work. She said, “I love anything that blooms in the garden … even a weed.”
She went to Nursing School at Rex Hospital and trained at Dorothea Dix, Computer Data School, Real Estate School, and Photography School. She was a member of the Raleigh Ramblers Red Hatters and The Eastern Star. She was a member of the RWBA Bowlers Association and competed in many City and State Tournaments and over 25 National Tournaments. She was a City and State Champion and one of the Founding Members of the RWBA 600 Club of which she was also the Grand Marshall of their 600 Friendship Tournament in October 2023. Sophia was a proud member of the DITS (Daughters In Training) and loved “Carolina Moon” and performing it at Wild Women’s Weekend.
She was a member of First Baptist Church for over 70 years, loved her church friends, and weekly helped feed the Hungry through First Table Feeding Ministry. Sophia was a wonderful cook: best collard greens, chili with cloves, scrambled eggs, fried chicken, cornbread, potato salad, and vegetable soup. Back in 1980, she had a bottle of wine she had won for highest sales while she was working at The Angus Barn. Her 2 daughters came for lunch and she pulled out that bottle to serve with her delicious vegetable soup. Later she found out that bottle was worth $700! It was a perfect pairing with her vegetable soup.
In her early working career, Sophia was a secretary for 2 years and could type 80 words a minute, sold World Book Encyclopedias and Stanley Home Products. She was Manager/Hostess at Ballentine’s Restaurant for 13 years and that’s where she got the nickname, “Red.” She worked at Corning Glass Works in the early 1960s on 2 major projects. She helped solve prototype problems with the design engineers working on electric microchips and integrated circuits for NASA.
At the same time, she was working on High Reliability Capacitors for the 1st Minuteman Missile Project requiring a Zero Failure Rate. Later she was Manager at The Velvet Cloak in charge of all banquets and parties until Mr. Thad Eure, Jr. asked her to come work at The Angus Barn. Sophia worked at The Barn for 42 years as Top Trainer/Waitress and loved every minute. There are only two named seating stations at The Barn and one is called “Sophia’s Station.” She was the longest-serving waitress at The Barn and said there was no restaurant in the world that served a better steak than The Angus Barn. After she retired, Van said she could come and just give out apples if she wanted to at any time. She continued to support The Walk For Hope and The Angus Barn treated her like a queen.
For 23 years at the same time she was working at The Barn, Sophia had her own business with her brother, Leroy, at the Atlantic Beach North Carolina Circle Boardwalk. They owned The Pit Stop Go-Cart Track/Arcade/Snack Bar. She would work at The Barn from Labor Day to Memorial Day and then head for the beach to run the track for the summers. Her 3 grandsons would get to spend a week each summer working with her, riding go-carts, playing arcade games, swimming, and staying up late-they LOVED it!
Grandma Sophia was a card shark and taught them how to be good losers. She later leased the location to Lisa Hill for Lisa’s Bar and then to her daughter, Betty, for Changing Colors Arcade and Snack Bar. Also, while she worked at The Barn, Sophia worked at Ford’s Gourmet Foods at the NC State Farmers Market as Credit Manager. Again, growing up in the Depression, it was hard to get credit with her. Of course, she won Top Salesperson year after year selling Bone Suckin’ Sauce. She inspired the sauce’s name because she would suck the bones until there was no meat left.
She traveled with her daughter and grandson around the USA and many foreign countries, working at trade shows and making friends. She loved Paris! If you asked her which job she loved and enjoyed the longest, she would say being a Mother. Sophia was married to Reginald “Ray” Smith for 15 years. After their divorce, although she had many suitors and proposals, she never remarried and remained lifelong friends with Ray. They had 2 daughters, Sandra and Betty. He later became a Chaplain for the DAV. She said they would have stayed married if not for “that mean old lady Smith,” her mother-in-law.
Even though she sometimes worked 3 jobs, Sophia made time to be a wonderful mother: Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, PTA Mother, Sunday School Teacher, and was always pushing and supporting her girls in all parts of life. While caring for her dear parents, she also helped raise a grandson. She always said if you needed help, look first at the hand at the bottom of your own arm. She lived in the same house for 70 years in Raleigh and had the prettiest home and yard in the neighborhood.
In 2020, The Tarheel Traveler with Scott Mason on WRAL featured Sophia in an episode named “Grandmother Rocks and Relishes In Raleigh Front Yard.” For 70 years she had grown a black walnut tree from a sapling given to her by her Daddy. It grew over 100 feet tall, and she cut it down and made 28 adult rocking chairs and 4 child rocking chairs for her family. Sophia asked, “I did a good job, didn’t I?” Yes, you did Mama!
A few things about Sophia, her favorite color: all of them; favorite flower: Trumpet Tree; favorite candy: Southern Yum Pecan Brittle (911); favorite drink: Bailey’s Irish Cream; AND Buttons: The Smartest Dog In The World. If you didn’t know her, you would have been “thrilled” to meet Sophia. She gave the best, tightest hugs and was always the last to let go. Thank You To everyone who loved and took care of my wonderful Mama!

The Walt Disney Company board wants to hide key financial data from the public, particularly as it relates to their funding of the transgender movement and donations to political candidates, documents reviewed by the Daily Caller reveal.
The 2024 proxy vote ballot for Disney’s annual shareholder meeting, scheduled for April 2, reveals the board doesn’t want the public, or even their own shareholders, to know how much Disney spends on “gender transition compensation and benefits” for its staff. Despite the board’s suggested vote to shareholders, the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) and National Center for Public Policy Research (NCPPR) are urging the company to release the data.
In Disney’s 2024 “Notice of Annual Meeting of Shareholders and Proxy Statement,” Disney details how the NLPC and NCPPR notified the company that they intend to present proposals focused on these issues. Within the same document, Disney “affirms” that people who suffer from gender dysphoria can “transition to a different sex.” However, “an increasing body of scientific evidence shows no benefits result from such medical treatments,” the NLPC argues. They go on to cite the European and American medical community’s “increasing” caution about gender-transition “therapies.”

A Disney World spokesman refused to speak to us on the record.
“Victims report transition treatments and surgeries are harmful. Examples include long-lasting or permanent outcomes like chronic pain, sexual dysfunction, unwanted hair loss or hair gain, menstrual irregularities, urinary problems, and other complications,” the statement continues. “Rather than resolve health problems ‘gender affirming’ therapies instead often exacerbate them. In such instances, those who desire to ‘detransition’ cannot find medical care or insurance coverage, and are permanently mutilated. Many of these sufferers litigate against those who misled or harmed them.”
But as transitioners are de-transitioners are protected under “gender identity” and “sexual orientation” aspects of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), they cannot be discriminated against in any way, resulting in Disney covering transition procedures.
Shareholders have asked the board to issue a report on Disney’s funding of gender care and related activities by Dec. 31, 2024, and whether there are any “benefit gaps” related to gender dysphoria, as well as “associated reputational, competitive, operational and litigative risks.”
Similarly, Disney doesn’t want shareholders to approve the publication of the company’s charitable and political donations. The board recommends a vote against “requesting a report on political expenditures” and “publication of recipients of charitable contributions.”
In their recommendation, NCPPR argued that there are “issues” with donating to certain groups who support sex-change surgeries, not just for the potential legal and medical issues listed above, but because is it “time Disney stop injecting itself into controversial and significant social policy issues,” the proposal stated.
Disney’s board ignores all the arguments and scientific evidence laid out by the NCPPR and NLPC in their explanation for why they’re recommending voting “against” the proposals. “We believe the proposal is an attempt to generate attention from a proponent with a narrow focus seeking to advance a limited agenda rather than an authentic attempt to call for action in the best interest of the Company and shareholders,” Disney wrote in response to the proposals.
The board also ignored any mention of “gender” in their request for shareholders to reject the proposal to publicize Disney’s charitable donation, and instead stated the company is already transparent enough about their spending.
“In its opposition statement Disney revealed why our proposal is so important, and how badly it has failed to fulfill its fiduciary duties. Disney clearly hasn’t spent a single moment considering how much Iger and his team have harmed the company by going full-in on politics instead of running the company for shareholder and even genuine stakeholder benefit. Iger has hired people like Kathleen Kennedy who hate Disney’s customers and want to shove their politics down audiences’ throats rather than entertaining them,” NCPPR director Scott Shepard said in a statement to the Daily Caller. “Iger seems to think that by adopting a partisan position he makes it non-partisan and just ‘the right thing to do.’ He is wrong in this, of course, as he’s wrong in just about every decision he’s made for many years.”
Disney has found itself increasingly mired in political squabbles in recent years, most notably with Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has gone after the megacorporation’s special tax status. Conservatives have accused Disney of shoehorning progressive messaging into its content and pursuing a political agenda over putting out quality family content.
Disney did not respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.

In recent decades the quality of American education has plummeted.
When you scan the headlines related to education, you realize how far we have fallen:
∙A “non-binary” activist teacher promotes the woke agenda for kindergarteners and claims that the U.S. and Israel have “no right to exist.”
∙Harvard, America’s oldest and most prestigious college (historically), now teaches a class on the pop singer Taylor Swift. Harvard’s tuition costs $75,000 a year.
∙A Seattle high school teacher, who praised Hamas in class, failed a student on a quiz. Why? The student said men can’t get pregnant. When the student’s mom complained, the school authorities stood by the teacher, not the student.
∙A social studies teacher in Maine assigned her high school students to write their own “Declaration of Independence,” maybe, she suggested, even from their own parents.
∙An elementary school principal in Oklahoma performed as a drag queen. He has since resigned.
Needless to say, there is a battle over education today.
But when you look at early American education, there is no question that the Bible in one way or another was the chief textbook for the first 200-300 years. This led to widespread literacy.
In fact, I have produced a documentary for Providence Forum entitled, “The Beginning of Wisdom.” The title comes from the Scriptures, which say that, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” This film aims to show what was right about early education, and how did it get that way.
At one time, America was among the best educated nations in the world. James Madison of Virginia, a key architect of the Constitution, said, “A well-instructed people alone can be permanently a free people.”
The first school law passed in America was in Boston in the 1640s, and it was nicknamed, “The Old Deluder Satan Act.” The law begins, “It being one chief project of that old deluder, Satan, to keep men from the knowledge of the Scriptures, as in former times.” Therefore, schools were to be systematically established so that the children could read and write for themselves.
The Puritans dreaded to “leave an illiterate ministry to the churches, when our present ministers shall lie in the dust,” so they started a school of higher learning that more ministers of the Gospel could be produced. That was Harvard, named after a donor, Rev. John Harvard.
All of the original colleges and universities were created by Christians for Christian purposes. Harvard, William and Mary, Yale, Dartmouth, Brown, and so on. These schools set the standard for education throughout the land.
The only Ivy League school that was not explicitly Christian in its founding was Cornell which was established in the 1840s—more than 200 years after Harvard.
One of the guests in our program is the Jewish scholar Dennis Prager, founder of PragerU. He mentions this fact about the third oldest college in North America: “The insignia of Yale University is in Hebrew. It’s the mantle or the breastplate that the high priest of Israel wore, Urim veha-Tummim, and it’s in Hebrew.… Do you know how immersed you had to be in the Bible to know that, and if you were not a Jew to know those words, Urim veha-Tummim? And that’s, to this day, the insignia of Yale University.”
In 1789, Catholics founded Georgetown University in what is now Washington, DC and in 1842, they founded Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Even today, Catholic schools in the inner-city are legendary in throwing a lifeline for children in need.
Another guest in the documentary is Joyce Burges, who co-founded, with her husband, the National Black Home Education League. She says, “Booker T. Washington was a Christian man, and when he founded Tuskegee Institute he shared those Christian principles with the students. As a matter of fact, be believed in the broom, the Bible, and the book, meaning, education, chores, and the Word of God.”
Education for the masses, using Bible-based books like The New England Primer and McGuffey’s Readers (the earliest versions) helped create a well-educated populace.
Using Mike Huckabee as the voice of Thomas Jefferson, we close the documentary with this statement from our third president: “If a nation expects to be ignorant & free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was & never will be. Where the press is free and every man able to read, all is safe.”
Around 1800, after almost 200 years of strong Christian influence in the schools, John Adams remarked that to find an illiterate man in New England was as rare as a comet.
How far we have fallen. My prayer is that God would revive the works of His hand in this nation.

Matthew Louis Gaetz II is an attorney and since 2017, the Congressional Republican Representative of Florida’s first congressional district. Prior to his House seat, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016.
Don Gaetz, Matt’s father, served in the Florida State Senate from 2006 to 2016 and was the President of the Florida Senate from 2012 to 2014. Late in 2023, Don Gaetz decided he would again run for Florida Senate, and has expressed an eagerness for a “spirited campaign.” In 2004, Don sold Vitas Hospice Services, later accused of Medicaid fraud by the DOJ, for close to half a billion.
In 2023, Matt was well known for being the holdout with Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) in the 15th vote for Speaker Kevin McCarthy. However, he and Boebert did not cast a vote for anyone else which actually lowered the vote McCarthy needed by two and gave him the win.
Gaetz filed the motion to oust Kevin McCarthy for not keeping his promises.
The Congressman has now endorsed Kevin McCarthy as a replacement for Rona McDaniel as Chair of the RNC. McCarthy only voted with the Constitution 50% of the time.
While addressing rumors about his son potentially running for governor in 2026, Don clarified, “Matt’s not pursuing any run for governor. He’s pushing forward tackling budget and spending problems in Washington and fighting for term limits.”
Term limits and a balanced budget are the catch-all lies for the uninformed electorate.
Both would have dangerous unintended consequences.
Meckler’s Article V convention will not be limited as he claims. Globalist Council on Foreign Relations member, Robert George sits on the board of CoS. He has already rewritten the Second Amendment in our unalienable Bill of Rights.
Personal Life
From Business Insider comes a tell-all story about Matt from a former high school classmate, Erin Scot, when both attended a wedding rehearsal dinner of one of their friends. Scot tells of Matt showing an inappropriate cell photo of a woman he was bedding at the time. In 2021, the House Committee on Ethics investigated numerous accusations against Gaetz, including allegations of sexual misconduct, drug use, and involving the congressman showing colleagues “inappropriate” images on the House floor.
In August of 2021, 39 year old Matt Gaetz married Ginger Luckey, eloping with her to southern California for a private ceremony on Catalina Island. He married while being investigated by the Justice Department as part of a probe into an alleged sex trafficking ring and in an ongoing probe into an alleged sexual relationship with a 17-year-old minor, which he denied.
Gaetz appeared to have found an ally in Florida’s Seminole County tax collector, Joel Greenberg, donating $1,000 to one of his campaigns, and promoting him for higher office in an interview. “If Joel were to run from Seminole Co, I think he’d become the next congressman from the 7th district,” Gaetz told a Florida radio station in 2017.
According to various news reports, Greenberg told investigators that he saw Gaetz and others have sex with the same 17-year-old he pleaded guilty to sex trafficking.
This news was aired weeks after Gaetz’s former close friend, Joel Greenberg, who sources said agreed to cooperate in the federal probe into Gaetz, was sentenced to 11 years in prison after pleading guilty to crimes including sex trafficking of a minor and introducing her to other “adult men” who also had sex with her when she was underage. Greenberg agreed to provide “substantial assistance” to prosecutors as part of their ongoing investigation.
No charges were filed against Gaetz since proving he had sex with and knew the minor was underage could not easily be proven. Gaetz’ attorneys confirmed the DOJ decision.
In a statement to ABC News, Greenberg’s attorney called the decision not to charge Gaetz “troubling.”
Tucker Carlson interviewed Gaetz after Fox News found out Congressman Gaetz was under federal investigation for playing some role in sex trafficking. After the interview, Carlson spoke to the audience and said, “That was one of the weirdest interviews I’ve ever conducted.”
Matt’s wife, Ginger Luckey, works as a food industry Analyst and Sales Operations & Enablement for Apeel, which is a company funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. James Rogers, CEO and Founder of Apeel Sciences is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader 2020. The company is approaching the global food waste crisis by utilizing a plant-derived solution to prevent waste — a “sustainable” approach to the world’s growing food demands.
Apeel Sciences develops products for USDA Organic Certified and conventional produce categories. Their mission is to “build a barrier that could be applied to fruits and vegetables using edible materials that could slow down the rate of spoilage.” The ingredients in Apeel have not been publicly shared and the Apeel label is not on all fruits and vegetables with the coating.
Having purchased California avocadoes with this coating, once they felt soft enough to be ripe, when you cut into them, the center is still hard, but the fruit inside the peel is mushy and often rotten.
Gaetz’ Mugshot
Back in 2008, Matt Gaetz was arrested for a DUI when being stopped for doing 48 in a 35-mph zone. He was 26 years old at the time, and the charges were dropped. Some say Gaetz has had up to seven DUIs, but the record only shows one. Gaetz didn’t like the fact that he had a mugshot from the first go around. He promoted efforts to remove mugshots from private websites, and Congressman Greg Steube saw to it in 2018 that mugshots will no longer be available for private websites or pasted across billboards.
Far too many lawmakers rack up speeding tickets. Matthew Gaetz, R-Fort Walton Beach, 32, has been cited for 16 tickets from 1999, to 2014, including one for driving 60 mph in a 35-mph zone on Christmas 2011 in Jackson County.
Gaetz and LGBTQ
Congressman Gaetz will tell you he’s anti-LGBTQ because he claims he’s against “drag queen library hour” with children. However, while in the Florida legislature, Matt succeeded in promoting and passing adoption for LGBTQ individuals.
The Republican Party of Florida is allegedly against any grooming of children in their schools. Yet in 2018, Congressman Gaetz was telling Florida’s Okaloosa Stemm Academy Speech and Debate Class (sixth through eighth graders) why we have to be tolerant of people who don’t fit into societal norms.
Here is the full Facebook video. I’ve transcribed the first minute of Gaetz’ talk:
“Two men and a woman, maybe it’s two women and a man. I don’t believe you deconstruct that fundamental institution, but I also think, that in society, we have to be tolerant of people who don’t fit societal norms. So, I broke with many in my own party, and I authored legislation, to strike from state statues, the ban from gay adoption.
“It is my view that if two loving people were going to create a home that would be safe for someone and would take them out of foster care or would take them out of an environment where they were less safe, then I didn’t think government should stand between a child and a forever home, even if that forever home was with a gay couple. So again, I think this is a generational issue. I think younger people are less judgmental on those questions and so I’m proud to advance rights in an area that’s very pragmatic putting people in a forever home. But I have not signed up for the deconstruction of the family, the traditional family as an institution in America.”
Yet, Gaetz is responsible for the bill to allow LGBTQ+ to adopt in Florida.
Betraying Homeschoolers
The following four-minute video exposes how Matt Gaetz betrayed homeschoolers.
In 2015, Florida legislator, Matt Gaetz abandoned orphans, betrayed homeschoolers and threw religious freedom under the bus.
A lower court had stricken the ban on gay adoptions. The amendment to the legislators was simply, “Do you believe it’s right for homosexuals to be able to adopt children?Yes or No?”
Rep. Gaetz added an amendment to the vote, “Do you believe homeschoolers have the right to adopt children? Yes or No.”
Legislators didn’t want to be thrown under the bus for voting against homeschoolers and the bill passed. Homeschoolers were never limited from adoption.
Gaetz used homeschoolers as bait and switch to promote the LGBT agenda. He chose to add the amendment to the homosexual amendment so that it would get passed, and it would deny the rights of the State of Florida to challenge the lower court ruling of whether or not homosexuals have the right to adopt children at the State Supreme Court level.
Legalizing Cannabis
Gaetz’s interest in medical marijuana dates back nearly a decade, when he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives. Well before he would gain national attention for his support of Donald Trump, Gaetz carved out an unusual reputation as a Republican who wanted to liberalize marijuana laws.
In 2018, Gaetz, Dr. Jason Pirozzolo and Halsey Beshears were united in their love of politics, travel and beautiful women. Their other mutual interest was Florida’s $1.2 billion medical marijuana industry.
In 2014, Gaetz co-sponsored the first state effort to legalize medical marijuana. Don Gaetz, who was then serving as president of the Florida Senate said he was “being pummeled” by his son about supporting it. However, other reports have suggested it was Don Gaetz who wanted cannabis legalized.
The day Gaetz’s measure was up for a final debate and vote in Florida’s House of Representatives, both Pirozzolo and Beshears were on the floor. Beshears was a fellow member of the legislature who joined in the support and Pirozzolo, an Orlando hand doctor and pilot was there serving as the “physician of the day for lawmakers.”
In 2016, Gaetz sponsored another measure in the Florida Legislature to expand on it, allowing near-death patients to use non-smokable marijuana of all strengths and doses.
By the time Gaetz was in Congress in 2018, he introduced legislation that would increase the number of entities who could do research on cannabis. The legislation matched what Pirozzolo’s group was promoting to expand research.
Five months later, these men met in the Bahamas.
In 2022, Gaetz filed an amendment that would promote research into the therapeutic potential of psilocybin mushrooms and MDMA as alternatives to opioids for military service members through an annual defense bill. He was seeking to attach the amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). It would build upon another cannabis-focused amendment that was already approved by the House Armed Services Committee.
Forbes reported how legalization of cannabis was moving through the states, but only two of the five states with legalization bills, passed the initiatives.
In January of 2018, I wrote an article about the health consequences of pot smokers in response to the Colorado legalization of marijuana. The effects are overwhelmingly dangerous. Today’s pot is far stronger than it was 20 years ago. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration over 20 years found that the level of THC or tetrahydrocannabinol, marijuana’s main psychoactive ingredient in the marijuana samples they seized, rose from about 4 percent in 1995 to about 12 percent in 2014.
The legalization of pot will lead to young people freely using it.
The downside is that society ends up paying for the results.
Climate Change
When Matt Gaetz was first elected to Congress, he turned heads in early 2017 by promoting the abolition of the Environmental Protection Agency. He now sits on the Climate Solutions Caucus. He actually drafted a resolution which he hopes will be the Republican answer to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal.”
Gaetz tells his constituents and fellow Republicans that “earth is warming, and we should be focused on solutions.”
“I don’t think there’s a scientific debate left to be had on if it is happening,” Gaetz said.
“I also think history is going to judge very harshly climate change deniers, and I don’t want to be one of them.”
Interestingly enough, when Republicans sought to expel Gaetz late last year, AOC came to his defense.
Pensacola News Journal reported, “Gaetz said federal government must fund more university research into global warming while also boosting the budgets of NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to study the issue. He added federal facilities should adopt solar energy.
“Other ideas Gaetz will put forward in his “Green Real Deal” include eliminating regulations that he said block more hydroelectric dams from being built, calling for carbon sequestration by pumping carbon dioxide underground into dried up oil wells and protecting U.S. innovation in green technology from intellectual property theft by other countries like China.”

As a man, I rather not speak or write about my feelings. As a man, I prefer to talk tough. However, I’m unable to hold my feelings about the issue of Woke ideology to myself!
March 4 till March 8 has been dubbed the week of the “Spring feelings in The Kingdom of The Netherlands.”
This could’ve been something beautiful, in which young children learn about how it’s to fall in love for the first time in their lives.
But fate has decided otherwise. Fate? The Leftist elites that govern my country want the week of the Spring feelings to be about sexuality and “genderism.” They want to pollute the youngest souls of my country for an entire week. Teachers are instructed to cooperate, or lose their job if they refuse.
Many Dutch children will get confused and/or brainwashed by the promotors of homosexuality and transsexuality. They risk their good health, and possibly even their lives. For sex operations (mutilations) can lead to severe depression out of regret.
I love my country. The Dutch children are the future of my country. I feel powerless in the face of this evil.
What’s especially hard to swallow for me is the fact that I’m not permitted under Dutch Law to make a call on responsible Dutch parents to keep their children home from school during the week of the Spring feelings!
You in the USA have the First Amendment. I’m so jealous about this beautiful law…
