The Great American Snowflake Meltdown

In the Spring, up here in New England and all over the northern USA, snow melts in preparation for warmer months.  The warmer months when just about everyone shakes off the sleep of winter and welcomes the warmth of the life giving sun.  And that is the way it has been for eons.

But there is a change.  Yes, there is a change in the air.  Not a change in climate.  But a change as to when and how snowflakes melt down.

Usually, snowflakes melt down into life giving water.  But now they melt down and deliver not life, but destruction.

Of course, I am talking about the people who have been terrorizing American cities, American neighborhoods, American streets.

These people have been given a nick name.  Snowflakes.  These snowflakes always seem to bring with them, destruction and disruption.  Neither of which is good for a just and moral society.  Yet being just or moral is not on their agenda.

While they claim they are standing for Democracy, they are proving how ignorant they are because they are standing, instead, for totalitarianism.  You see, Snowflakes today believe that its their way or the highway.

You either agree with them or you need to be punched in the face.  You either stand with them or have your business vandalized or even destroyed.  You either repeat their mantra or your private property such as your car will be set ablaze.

So I ask you, how is that democracy?  How is that giving voice to the voiceless?  How is that allowing the arena of ideas to grow and flourish?

Obviously, Snowflakes are after only one thing.  Total and complete control.  Forget what the rest of the country wants.  Forget what slightly more than half of the country wants.  Forget what the vast majority wants.  It is only their small minded, small minority population that counts.

Yes, Snowflakes like the idea of the minority ruling over the majority.

I think we are familiar with such kinds of governance.  Monarchy, Communism, Socialism, Fascism all have their roots in a small minority ruling over the vast majority, often against the will of that majority.

But when you confront a Snowflake, show them the truth.  Give them historical precedence, they call you a name or two or five.  You become their enemy that needs to be shouted down and prevented from speaking or sharing your ideas or even teaching the truth.

They claim you are the reason our nation and the world are in such a mess and that they need a safe space from you and your kind.

How is it that in places that are supposed to foster thoughts, ideas, debate and study have morphed into places of human worship, liberal mindset ideology, devil worship and freedom crushing bigotry?

Ask a Snowflake, what exactly it is they are melting down about.  They wont be able to give you a cognizant answer that is deep and poignant.  Their answer will be shallow and full of soundbites that mean nothing.  But it sounds good to them and it makes them feel good.  After all feelings to a Snowflake are all that matter.

So what can you do?  Help a poor Snowflake re-freeze.  Give them the truth and nothing but the truth and hope that the truth shall set them free from their mental meltdown state of ignorance and denial.

In other words, pray.  Pray for a miracle.

Actress Alison Becker Sends Racist, Sexist Tweet

It’s yet another example of Trump-era celebrity derangement. Comedienne and actress Alison Becker attacked me via Twitter recently, saying I “have absolutely no authority on inequality as a white, cis male.”

Becker, a host on Fuse and VH1 who has also appeared on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, had some hostile intent Feb. 1 in tweeting that an article I wrote “is ignorant, offensive, and misses the point.” She didn’t indicate what piece raised her ire (I write a lot), but the only article of mine published that day was titled “The Equality Con: Why Income Gaps Don’t Matter” and made the snowflake-melting assertion that inequality is “irrelevant.”

Whatever upset little Alison, though, she perhaps feared her own increasing irrelevancy — it appears she deleted the tweet in question. But here it is:

The irony of presenting oneself as a champion for equality while claiming that a whole group defined by race and sex has no business even talking about it apparently eluded Becker. But I don’t blame her for nixing the tweet. Using the word “cis”? Really?

For the uninitiated, that’s short for “cisgender,” a silly term for someone who, shockingly, actually identifies as the sex he was born as. That’s awfully presumptuous of Alison, though. How does she know I’m cis? Maybe I aim to supplant Milo Yiannopoulos as the new fabulous thing on college campuses.

Speaking of which, it’s bad enough when college-age lunkheads use the term. Becker is 39 years old. Not only that, but when I mocked her for parroting the cis nonsense and, uh…impugned her intellect (okay, I called her an airhead), she responded with the following:

It’s interesting that this Mensa genius can’t figure out that every term was made up at one point or another and that “cis” is new enough so that, for example, my Word program flags it as a misspelling. And this is a woman who calls President Trump a “stupid, ignorant, incompetent a**” on her Twitter page (so she’s eloquent, too).

But given Becker’s defensiveness about her intellect, if she herself ever decides to graduate from cis status, maybe she can play the following role in some future remake of The Godfather Part II.

So, newer Fredo: “I can handle things, Mike! I’m smart! I’m in MENSA!”

Whatever the case, don’t worry, Alison — you’ll make it one of these days. If Sarah Silverman and Madonna find their happy place in a rubber room, next year’s Women’s March may need a featured shrieker.

They may not be protesting in the streets, but voters in towns seeing their communities transformed by refugees almost overnight, support Donald Trump’s efforts to rein-in immigration from certain countries.

No time to thoroughly analyze both reports, but here is a bit of the story from Lewiston, Maine where many residents are happy with President Trump’s temporary slowdown of refugees from certain countries.  I don’t know this guy, but he speaks common sense, and I know exactly how he feels about watching CNN!

I think he’s doing a lot,” says Jim Nelson. “Every day I’m turning on CNN to see what he did and who he pissed off.”

Nelson says he voted for Trump and he’s happy he did. He says doesn’t always like how the president acts, but that Trump is quickly fulfilling campaign promises.

That includes the president’s recent travel ban, which affects immigrants from seven countries, including Somalia.

“This country was made on immigrants. I mean, that’s exactly why the United States exists. We’re a melting pot. We can’t lose sight of that,” Nelson says.

But he says he’s truly mystified by the local protests sparked by Trump’s order.

“On the front page of yesterday’s paper you got this little girl crying, and she’s a Somalian (sic) and she can’t see her grandmother, and ‘Oh, my God.’ You know, she can’t see her grandmother for six months. What about the people that got blown up down in Florida? What about those people? They can’t ever see their people again.” Nelson says.

Faribault, Minnesota:

Here is the Minneapolis Star Tribune about reactions in Faribault, another small city being overloaded with Somali refugees.  By the way, the population of Faribault was 23,594 in 2014, and Lewiston was 36,299 in 2014 (it had lost 293 residents since 2010, wonder why?).

For Viscomi, the new travel ban ordered by President Donald Trump that suspends refugee resettlement for 120 days and blocks entry for 90 days for citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries comes as mostly welcome news.

“I think slowing things down would be good,” she said this week, taking a short break after the lunch rush. “I don’t want to see families separated, but in the other regard, there needs to be somebody saying, ‘Hey, Let’s breathe here. Let’s breathe.’ ”

Reporter then describes pro-immigrant rallies in big cities. (Faribault is Trump country as was Lewiston on November 8th!)

Yet in other places, such as Faribault, the move has been welcomed by residents who feel the cost and pace of immigration is too much too fast. Trump won Faribault’s precincts with 50.4 percent of the vote in November, compared with 41.5 percent for Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Faribault, like other small- to medium-sized cities throughout Minnesota in recent years, has seen its mostly European ancestry make room for new arrivals from Cambodia, Laos, Mexico, Central America and Somalia.

And, of course, like much of Minnesota we see Somalis are supplying the cheap labor for BIG MEAT!

In many places, it’s the food processing plants that draw immigrants eager for work. It’s no different here, where the Jennie-O Turkey Store operates.

Killing the Boy Scouts Portends Much Worse

While everyone was watching the wild histrionics of 109 people being delayed entry into the country for a day or two last weekend, something of much larger and darker import happened.

The Boy Scouts of America changed its policy to allow transgenders to join, thereby lodging another nail in its own coffin. The mother of an 8-year-old New Jersey girl, who now is identifying as a boy, filed a civil rights complaint after her daughter/son was kicked out for being a girl. A mere week later the Scouts caved. A once great organization now riven by craven political correctness and bullied into submission by the powerful LGBTQ activist community is being relegated to history.

Homosexual boys were allowed to be Scouts in 2013. Scout leaders can be homosexuals as of 2015. And now in 2017 children can join based on whatever gender identity they are choosing when they sign up — not what they were “assigned” at birth (you know, by having a penis or vagina.)

This means a child born a girl, but choosing to identify as a boy, can join the Boy Scouts. To be clear — because clarity is difficult to come by in this moral morass — she’s a girl. I can identify as a young black slave woman living in 1760. But I’m still a middle age white male living in 2017. Reality does not change because we identify it differently. Reality remains reality.

Except apparently in our inside out, upside down culture of post-modernity, where reality is what we choose to call it, or not call it. Your call.

The destruction train

Yes, it’s all quite insane. But it is also deeply destructive, something few people want to say out loud. It’s destructive of the individual — no reasonable person should think it is healthy for parents to allow or even encourage a confused 8-year-old girl into being a boy, or vice-versa. It’s destructive to an organization by utterly changing its nature and character. And it’s destructive to the nation by forcing citizens into dangerous and uncomfortable positions to appease the tiniest of gender-confused minorities.

And this train of destruction is bearing down on the Church.

Make no mistake. The church — not the mosque or the synagogue — is coming into the crosshairs of the LGBTQ activists. Well-heeled and politically connected LGBT activists have won every single cultural war they have started. Occasionally, they are set back in a battle temporarily. But eventually, and usually sooner than later, they get everything they want. Just consider the speed at which we arrived at accepting gay marriage. Even Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama did not accept it (publicly) 10 years ago.

Christian parents were a disproportionately large percentage of the Boy Scouts. The year after caving into the LGBTQ demand for gay Scout masters, Boy Scout membership dropped 7 percent. But Cub Scout membership, the feeder band for the Boy Scouts, dropped 14 percent. That’s a pretty sharp decline over just a few months.

Fighting back

Meanwhile, Trail Life USA, an overtly Christian alternative to the decaying Boy Scouts, saw its membership go from 0 to 20,000 in its first two years, with chapters in 48 states. The next year, it grew by 10,000 more. A high percentage appears to be former Scouts, or those who would have joined the Scouts. This trend will continue and the Boy Scouts will slowly die out or become some perverse rump organization of what they used to be.

With this standard of virtue, morality and traditional manhood now shriveling up in the dustbin of history, with marriage now redefined and undermined, and with schools and public places being forced to allow men into girls bathrooms and locker rooms, there remains one big fat target yet to be attacked head on: The Christian Church.

Some of the old mainstream denominations that have become more clubs in many respects than anything resembling a biblical church, will be the first to go. They are the low-hanging targets for the transgender part of LGBTQ. Sadly, many of these are only tangentially tethered to Christianity through historical tradition, not through any notions of Christ-centered faith. Some are already ordaining gays as priests and ministers and it shows as their membership continues to decline — just like the Boy Scouts. Destruction.

The real targets will be Evangelicals and Catholics, the backbone of Christianity in the nation. Be ready, brethren. Be prepared to give a defense. Stand firm all. Because they are indeed coming for you.

DNC Purges Black Candidate for Chairmanship for criticizing Islam’s Discrimination against Gays

Tolliver should have known from the outset that this would happen. It has long been established that in the hierarchy of politically correct causes, Islam trumps homosexuality. When AFDI ran ads highlighting the mistreatment of gays in Islamic law, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors issued a resolution condemning not that mistreatment, but our ads. Gay advocates such as Theresa Sparks and Chris Stedman attacked us for daring to call attention to the institutionalized mistreatment of gays under Islamic law.

Tolliver said of Ellison: “His being a Muslim is precisely why DNC voters should not vote for him. Muslims discriminate against gays. Islamic law is clear on the subject, and being gay is a direct violation of it. In some Muslim countries, being gay is a crime punishable by death.”

That is quite correct. But in response, instead of challenging Tolliver on the facts, which they couldn’t do in any case, the Democrats rallied around Ellison. Said interim Chairwoman Donna Brazile: “The Democratic Party welcomes all Americans from all backgrounds. What we do not welcome is people discriminating against others based on who they are or how they worship.”

So noting correctly that Islam discriminates against and persecutes gays is now “discriminating against others based on who they are or how they worship,” at least according to Donna Brazile (and, no doubt, many other enlightened Leftists). And Ellison’s spokesman, Brett Morrow, declared that it was “disappointing that a fellow DNC candidate would fan the flames of intolerance.” He didn’t say anything about Sharia states fanning the flames of intolerance against gays.

Morrow added: ““Keith has shown first-hand his commitment to our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters, organizing tirelessly against the Minnesota anti-marriage equality amendment in 2012.” That’s not the same thing as saying that he rejects Islam’s teaching that homosexuals should be put to death. Many Islamic groups supported same-sex marriage solely for tactical reasons: they knew it would open the door to the legalization of polygamy.

Meanwhile, it is interesting to note that The Hill, which is reporting here how the DNC has become Sharia-compliant and is prohibiting criticism of Islam, is itself also Sharia-compliant.

The Democratic National Committee is kicking a candidate out of the chairmanship race after he told The Hill that Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) should not be the party’s next leader because he is a Muslim.

In a Jan. 5 email to The Hill, Vincent Tolliver, a former House candidate in Arkansas, said that Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, should not be chairman because of Islamic positions on homosexuality.

“His being a Muslim is precisely why DNC voters should not vote for him,” Tolliver wrote. “Muslims discriminate against gays. Islamic law is clear on the subject, and being gay is a direct violation of it. In some Muslim countries, being gay is a crime punishable by death.”

“Clearly, Mr. Ellison is not the person to lead the DNC or any other organization committed to not discriminating based on gender identity or sexual orientation,” Tolliver continued. “I’m shocked [the Human Rights Campaign] has been silent on the issue. A vote for Representative Ellison by any member of the DNC would be divisive and unconscionable, not to mention counterproductive to the immediate and necessary steps of rebuilding the Democratic Party.”

A spokesperson for Tolliver said he stands by the statement.

The Hill did not report on the remarks in early January because it was unclear whether Tolliver would be an active candidate for chair.

However, on Saturday, Tolliver participated in the DNC-sanctioned candidates forum in Houston.

The DNC announced on Tuesday that Tolliver would also be one of 11 candidates participating in the next forum in Detroit on Feb. 4.

But Tolliver is no longer invited to participate in the event.

“The Democratic Party welcomes all Americans from all backgrounds. What we do not welcome is people discriminating against others based on who they are or how they worship,” interim Chairwoman Donna Brazile said in a statement to The Hill.

“We expect candidates for Chair of the Party to conduct a respectful campaign based on issues. To assure that, we ask all our Chair candidates to pledge ‘to uphold the interests, welfare and success of the Democratic Party of the United States,’ and to participate in the process ‘in good faith.’ Mr. Tolliver’s disgusting comments attacking the religion of a fellow candidate fall far short of that standard. Accordingly, Mr. Tolliver is no longer a candidate for DNC Chair.”

Ellison’s spokesman, Brett Morrow, responded to Tolliver’s remarks in an email to The Hill:

“A few days after Donald Trump instituted a racist and unconstitutional Muslim ban, it’s disappointing that a fellow DNC candidate would fan the flames of intolerance,” Morrow said, although Tolliver made his statement weeks before President Trump signed his Friday executive order temporarily banning refugees and citizens of seven predominately Muslim countries from entering the United States.

“Keith has shown first-hand his commitment to our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters, organizing tirelessly against the Minnesota anti-marriage equality amendment in 2012, which led to a resounding win for love at the ballot box. Trump is taking away health care for millions of people, separating families, and alienating our allies. Keith will continue to focus on uniting the Democratic party to fight back against division and hate, and to fight for the core Democratic values of tolerance and inclusion.”…

How can a people be called ‘settlers’ in their own homeland?

The Oslo Accords, the Wye Agreement, the Roadmap, ad nauseam, have all attempted to separate much, if not all, of the eternal possession of the Jewish people from their God given homeland?

This decades long political foolishness has continued in order to appease a succession of occupants of the White House whose policies have, alas, too often become a clear and present danger to the very existence of Eretz Yisrael, the Land of Israel.

The reluctance by many Israeli leaders to resist various U.S. administrations or offend various presidents has inexorably led to Jewish rights not asserted vigorously enough. It has thus allowed the erosion of those very millennial and inalienable entitlements of the Jewish people to their ancestral heartland – primarily the narrow strip of land between the River Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea.

History has proven that it was a near fatal mistake to embrace the pernicious, self-defeating and idiotic policies known as “land for peace” in which Israel gave away its historic land but never received peace.

That other evil seed, also spawned from the Oslo Peace Accords, namely what is called the “Two-State-Solution,” would, if enacted with the duplicitous and terrorist PLO, be as diabolical and deadly a euphemism for the Jewish state as was Nazi Germany’s “Final Solution.”

Instead, there should have always been watertight demands made upon the so-called Palestinian Authority, which now occupies large swathes of Judea and Samaria (the so-called West Bank).

This was left undone and now the PLO and the so-called Palestinian Authority spew anti-Jewish propaganda in schools and through its regime controlled media, poisoning the minds of yet another generation of Arabs. At the same time its terrorist entities, Fatah and Hamas, unleash relentless and barbaric violence resulting in thousands of Israeli civilian deaths.

Demands should also have been made upon the artificial entity known as the Kingdom of Jordan for the return of biblical Gilead – the ancestral homeland of the Jewish tribes of Gad and Manasseh, east of the River Jordan.

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government and previous governments stretching back to that of Yitzhak Rabin, all betrayed Jewish patrimony in the Land of Israel. They did not effectively reject the Arab and pro-Arab lie that Israel “occupies” Arab territory – specifically territory occupied by a fraudulent Arab people who have come to call themselves Palestinians.

Judea and Samaria have still not been annexed yet they are the very warp and woof, the very fabric and fiber of Jewish history during and after Biblical times.

I was looking back at what Professor Talia Einhorn of the University of Ariel wrote in 2003 about Judea, Samaria and Gaza, or as it is known by its Hebrew acronym, Yesha: meaning Yehuda, Shomron and Azza.

She was commenting on the ‘slip of the tongue” by then Prime Minister Sharon who used the word “occupation” in reference to Israel’s presence in Yesha. In 2003, Yesha still included Gaza.

That territory in the Gaza Strip was tragically abandoned in 2005 with Jewish villages and farms uprooted, 10,000 villagers expelled, synagogues demolished and even graves exhumed.

Israel agreed to this self-inflicted and grievous wound for the sake of a delusional peace with the Arabs in Gaza who call themselves Palestinians. The result has been endless Arab crimes and aggression and costly wars in Israeli blood and treasure!

Professor Einhorn stated clearly then that Israel, the Jewish state, is not an “occupying force” in Yesha. This is what she said:

‘‘Up until 1948, Judea, Samaria and Gaza were a part of the British Mandate. In the 1948 War of Independence, Egypt illegally grabbed the Gaza Strip and Jordan took Judea and Samaria, the ‘West Bank.’

“Egypt did not claim sovereignty in Gaza but Jordan decided, in 1950, to illegally annex Judea and Samaria. This annexation was not recognized by international law. The Arab nations objected to it, and only Britain and Pakistan recognized it – and Britain did not recognize the Jordanian annexation of eastern Jerusalem.

“In 1967, after the Six Day War, these territories – which were originally meant for the Jewish Nation’s National Home according to the Mandate Charter – returned to Israeli control.

Professor Einhorn added that, “according to international law, Israel has full right to try to populate the entire Land of Israel with dense settlement and thus actualize the principles set by the League of Nations in the original Mandate Charter of San Remo in 1920.

“At that time, the mandate to the Land of Israel was granted to the British and an introduction to the mandate charter states clearly that it is based on the international recognition of the historic ties between the Jewish People and the Land of Israel. Clause II of that mandate charges Britain with ‘ensuring the existence of political, administrative, and economic conditions that will guarantee the establishment of the Jewish national home in the Land of Israel.’”

We, of course, know how that turned out. Britain reneged on its promises and undertakings. Britain tore away 80% of all the mandate territory east of the Jordan River in 1922 and gave it to the Emir Abdullah.

There is nothing, therefore, in international law that requires the creation of a Palestinian state between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean.

Professor Einhorn pointed out that the UN Partition Resolution of November 29, 1947 merely recommended that a Jewish and Arab state in what was the geographical territory known as Palestine “shall come into existence.”

Though the Jewish leadership accepted the partition plan, it was, as we all know, rejected utterly by the Arab states, which thus voided the UN’s recommendation of any legal basis.

So the fact that what is left of Yesha – Judea and Samaria – has not previously been the subject of an Israeli annexation is neither here nor there. It is empirically the Land of Israel by all that is holy. And if that’s a dirty word to some, so be it.

Simply put: The Jewish people cannot be called settlers in their very own Biblical, ancestral and aboriginal homeland.

Now if those facts are understood and hammered home again and again by every Israeli and non-Israeli, every Jew and non-Jew in the world, think of the illuminating power and the glory that will emanate as the veil of deception is finally torn from the world’s eyes – and President Trump becomes its instrument of redemption.

As Caroline Glick, Managing Editor of the Jerusalem Post, writes:

“While Trump occasionally pays lip service to making peace in the Middle East, his real goal is to win the war against jihadist Islam. And he rightly views Israel as a woefully underutilized strategic ally that shares his goal and is well-placed to help him achieve it.”

The Stench of Identity Politics

In an article titled “On Race & Identity Politics” David Warren writes, “the battle against multiculturalism should have been joined the moment the stench of identity politics was detected.”

Warren notes:

Most wars don’t start soon enough. This is one of my little reflections on history. That’s why they go on too long. Had the “allies” (whomever gentle reader might choose, for the war he finds most enthralling) had the foresight to strike earlier, they might have wrapped it up quickly. Instead, they dawdled (sloth is a sin), giving the enemy more time to prepare. Advantage: bad guys.

We have seen the growing stench of identity politics spread like a weapon of mass destruction across America.

Identity politics takes many forms. The most recent manifestations are:

  1. Gender identity (LGBTQ)
  2. Radical religious identity (Islam)
  3. Racial identity (Black Lives Matter)
  4. Alt-left political identity (Democrats as the party of Marx, Mohammed and Manning)

Identity politics leads inextricably to the stifling of freedom of speech.

For example if you believe in natural law or the biological and scientific terms male and female you are homophobic. If you are a Christian and Jew and question the written tenets of Islamic (shariah) laws then you are Islamophobic. If you happen to be born white then you are privileged and by definition a racist who must feel forever guilty and pay reparations for all past injustices. This idea gives one race preference over many other races who have been persecuted in America including white indentured servants, Asians during WWII and today whites who have been denied admission to certain institutions of higher learning solely based on their race and not their qualifications.

In the video below of the Democratic National Committee Chair Debate, candidate Sally Boynton Brown told the Democrats in the audience “my job is to shut white people down.” The Democrats in the room and on the platform cheered Brown, who is white, for hating white people in general and herself in particular.

Self loathing contributes to the stench of identity politics.

In terms of political philosophy if you believe in the U.S. Constitution (an Originalist) and the Bill of Rights (Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness) then you are all of the above plus misogynistic and a Nazi. Being for life from birth to natural death is anti-woman’s right to choose to murder her unborn child. A child that by consent, or in a few instances not, must be killed, according to the Sierra Club to control population in the name of saving the environment. In the video below Director of Sierra Club Michael Brune declares abortion is good for the environment through population control:

If you temporarily restrict individuals from certain countries coming to the United States for national security reasons, then you are anti-Muslim and anti-immigration. The argument is that America is a land of immigrants and our values demand we allow people to migrate because it is the “just” thing to do. Warren points out:

We are often told that America is “a land of immigrants.” This is dangerously untrue.

Regardless of race, color, or creed, the overwhelming majority [of Americans] was born here, of parents also born here. They are not immigrants, or, if we are going to look back farther, everyone in the world is an immigrant from our distant nomadic past, and the long universal history of tribal then national conquests. [Emphasis added]

The hypocrisy is that the same countries listed in President Trump’s Executive Order ban anyone with a Jewish passport, stamp or visa from entering their country there is silence. Why? Because identity politics places one religion over another.

Identity politics is all about discrimination. Discrimination against Christians, Jews, white males, white females, straight males, straight females, motherhood and those who hold a power to the people philosophy of government, like President Trump.

Warren concludes:

We now see precisely the opposite of what that memorable Christian, Martin Luther King, Jr. fought for – enshrined as principle in one of the country’s major political parties, and advanced by its “base” in the most noxious form.

From abroad, and even from many places within, it is as if the United States were now descending into another destructive civil war – curiously with Trump cast as Lincoln. But the battle should have been joined from the moment that the stench of identity politics was detected.

We must judge individuals by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. As President Trump said in his inaugural speech, “When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.”Identity politics is un-patriotic.

In a column titled “It’s God or the Gulag” James H. Toner  writes:

A nation is doomed when it celebrates diversity while denying – either explicitly or implicitly – the enduring truths that, at least once upon a time, united that nation. Not for nothing did Lincoln famously embrace the wisdom of Mark 3:25 that a house divided against itself cannot stand.

We should remember that time when our nation was truly divided. Let us not make the same mistake twice. Let us not allow history to repeat itself.

As the Supreme Court, as well as lower circuit courts, have increasingly pulled America away from biblical principles, it is refreshing to see a presidential administration’s focus turned back toward God in helping lead our country.

Trump threatens to make the Oscars great again

Iranian actress Taraneh Alidoosti has recently vowed to boycott the Academy Awards ceremony as a protest of Illegitimate President Donald Trump’s illegitimate proposal to illegitimately suspend visas for citizens of some African and Middle Eastern nations.

Alidoosti, who appears in the Oscar-nominated The Salesman, points out that foreign travelers to the United States have a right to come and go as they please without the illegitimate interference of the U.S. government.

“I decided not to go even if I could, because it hurts me deeply to see ordinary people of my country being rejected for what might be their legal right to have access to their children abroad or to their school classes as students.”

Her announcement has larger implications: what if other film stars follow her courageous example and similarly boycott the awards ceremony? We would be reduced to a series of boring technical awards.

We would be deprived of self-righteous tirades delivered with impeccable style by our betters.

The evil that is Donald trump knows no bounds. He has obviously targeted this poor, vulnerable woman with his threats of visa suspension specifically to prompt her decision to boycott the Oscars. This in turn is obviously his attempt to silence the calm voices of reason in the entertainment industry who have been calling for impeachment, assassination, painful death, and other fully-deserved calamities to befall him and his family.

But what if his plan succeeds? What if the Oscars are cancelled because of his existence? We depend on this annual event, the history of which stretches back eighty-eight years, as a cornerstone of our civilization. Why, before the Oscars, people had no idea what they should be thinking about vital affairs, no way of learning what they should be thinking, no guide for their moral indignation.

Evil is among us. And it has bad hair.

Democrats have to confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch before they read his SCOTUS opinions!

During a press conference on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi famously declared, “We have to pass the [ACA] Bill so that you can find out what is in it.” Perhaps the same standard should apply to Senate Democrats on the confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch for the position of Associate Justice to the Supreme Court of the United States?

Perhaps the U.S. Senate should unanimously confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch based upon his judicial credentials and then see what is in his opinions as an Associate Justice?

The day after President Trump asked the Senate to confirm Judge Gorsuch through an “elegant” and “dignified” process.

Mat Staver, Chairman of the Liberty Counsel in an email wrote:

President Donald Trump has nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch, a federal appellate judge on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, as the next Supreme Court Justice. Judge Gorsuch is 49, a graduate of Columbia University, Harvard University (J.D.), and Oxford University (D.Phil.), where he studied Natural Law, and a former Supreme Court law clerk. His credentials and experience are stellar.

More importantly, his judicial philosophy is right. Gorsuch wrote a book titled, The Future of Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia. One quoted portion of the book states: “Human life is fundamentally and inherently valuable” and that “the intentional taking of human life by private persons is always wrong.”

He sided with the state of Utah’s defunding of Planned Parenthood, and he supported the religious liberty arguments against forced abortion mandates under ObamaCare in Hobby Lobby and Little Sisters of the Poor.

Gorsuch wrote two pieces relevant to the proper role of judges. The first is an opinion for National Review in 2005 on the subject of Judicial Activism. He stated:

“This overweening addiction to the courtroom as the place to debate social policy is bad for the country and bad for the judiciary. In the legislative arena, especially when the country is closely divided, compromises tend to be the rule the day. But when judges rule this or that policy unconstitutional, there’s little room for compromise: One side must win, the other must lose.”

A few weeks after Justice Scalia’s passing in 2016, Judge Gorsuch gave a lecture that details his judicial interpretation philosophy and honors Justice Scalia. This excellent article is something similar to what Professor Robert George and Justice Scalia would write:

“Respectfully, it seems to me an assiduous focus on text, structure, and history is essential to the proper exercise of the judicial function. That, yes, judges should be in the business of declaring what the law is using the traditional tools of interpretation, rather than pronouncing the law as they might wish it to be in light of their own political views, always with an eye on the outcome, and engaged perhaps in some Benthamite calculation of pleasures and pains along the way. Though the critics are loud and the temptations to join them may be many, mark me down too as a believer that the traditional account of the judicial role Justice Scalia defended will endure.”

[Emphasis added]

There are those in the Senate who fear, no are terrified, of a judge who properly exercises his judicial function and adheres to the letter of the law and the original intent of the U.S. Constitution.

Jennifer Warner, National Organizing Director of Organizing for Action in an email wrote:

Legal experts expect that if he’s confirmed, he will be one of the most conservative modern justices to sit on the Court — and based on his record, I’m deeply concerned about his views on women’s, workers’, and civil rights, as well as his perspectives on environmental, health, and safety protections for Americans.

Now more than ever, we need a Supreme Court that reflects America’s core values and independently serves its crucial role in the system of checks and balances that is at the heart of our democracy. [Emphasis added]

Supreme Court nominee Gorsuch does in fact support the system of checks and balances that is at the heart of our Constitutional Republic. That is what they really fear, loath and hate. A judge who equally applies the law as passed by the Congress, and does not “legislate from the bench.”

As Thomas Jefferson wrote:

“[N]othing in the Constitution has given [the judiciary] a right to decide for the Executive, more than to the executive to decide for them. Both magistracies are equally independent in the sphere of action assigned to them… the opinion which gives to the judges the right to decide what laws are constitutional, and what are not, not only for themselves in their own sphere of action, but for the Legislature & Executive also, in their spheres, would make the judiciary a despotic branch.“

If you have an open mind, and want to analyze the travel ban from one professional perspective, read on.  If not, close your mind – at our nation’s peril.

What is the travel ban?  You may try to read it before you judge it.

Summarized, the U.S. government will not allow travelers from 7 countries of “particular concern” into the United States – Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, and Sudan for 90 days.  All refugees are halted for 120 days, Syrian refugees indefinitely.

Why? To evaluate the post 9/11 vetting processes required to enter the U.S., in order to protect U.S. citizens from violent extremist attacks.  Questions that must be addressed:  1. Is there a threat? Is there weakness in the system? 2. How can we make us safer?

The Obama administration labeled 3 of these countries as states sponsors of terrorism – Iran, Syria and Sudan. With the exception of Iran, each of the countries has a failed central government or is locked in deadly civil war.  Obama ordered attacks on 6 of them.

Is there a threat?  Sophisticated and well-resourced Islamic extremists, including ISIS and Al Qaeda, are fighting on their territories.  Thousands of men, women and even children have planned, trained and sworn oaths to kill Americans as a religious duty.  Their numbers have grown exponentially in the last 7 years – while we tried to be accepting.  It is not easy to distinguish the fighters from the innocent.

Is there a weakness? As a former Counter-Terror professional, Intelligence Officer and Security Assistance Officer at multiple US Embassies, I can say with high confidence that the visa system still has weaknesses.  The system still depends on people.  People make mistakes.  A few are corrupt.

According to the 9/11 Commission report, the attack plotters submitted 23 visa requests, 22 were approved.  Only two terrorists were actually interviewed, and a single consular officer issued 11 of the 19 hijackers’ visas.  The commission believed that without these visas, the plot would have likely failed.

After the devastation of 9/11, the visa process changed dramatically.  It now depends on much improved information sharing and cooperation among many federal agencies, foreign governments, DHS Visa Support Units (VSUs), data bases and biometrics.  Many of my U.S. State Department friends, government bureaucrats, and vocal partisan activists defend the process, and say we owe people entry.

However, the system depends on the effectiveness of the intelligence community.  It depends greatly on cooperation with the traveler’s host nation government to provide accurate information, background checks and criminal histories.  And finally, it rests on the consular officer who issues the visa.  The complex system is only as good as the data collected, and the people involved.

These 7 states have either supported terror, or have very weak institutions torn by war.  The U.S. doesn’t have effective relations with their police, intelligence or military. No one is taking biometric scans of every teenage ISIS fighter, or female jihadists.  Often a State Department junior officer, doing his or her mandatory one-time consular tour, approves a visa.  For these places of concern, the consular is probably not even in the applicant’s home country.

Consular officers are fallible; a few are convicted of fraud and corruption. Cut every year.  My wife’s former boss, Pat Raikes, the senior consular in Beirut just before 9/11, traded airline tickets for visas.  In 2015, Michael Sestak, pled guilty to trading over 500 visas for more than $3 million. Prior to the Foreign Service, Sestak was a police officer, Federal Marshall, and Navy Intelligence Officer.  Apparently Shayna Steiner, the Foreign Service Officer who issued those 11 hijackers’ visas, still works for the Department of State.  She may not be a criminal, maybe a good person – but she made mistakes that cost thousands of lives.

The intelligence community missed 9/11 (2,996 killed, 6,000+ wounded.)  Good people missed clear terror ties to the San Bernardino shooters (14 killed, 22 wounded.)  FBI agents interviewed, investigated and released the ISIS aligned Pulse Nightclub shooter – twice (49 killed, 52 wounded), and the recent Ft. Lauderdale shooter (5 killed, 6 wounded.) The FBI knew of the Boston bomber (3 killed, 264 wounded.)  US Army Major Nadal killed 14 soldiers after openly briefing other Army psychologists on his growing animosity and fundamentalist awakening.  In each of these cases, the system failed.  Good people missed it – or were too arrogant, incompetent, or in fear of politically-correct retribution to act.

Every consular knows applicants lie, even if they are not terrorists.  Good people will say anything to get to America.  You can bet trained ISIS or Al Qaeda fighters will lie better.  It is hard to sort the innocent from the evil.  Ultimately the system rests on the competence and personal judgments of thousands of dedicated but imperfect people, often with flawed data.  The vast majority of our people are fantastic professionals, but Americans pay dearly for the bad ones and the mistakes.

How can we make us safer?  We must listen to what we don’t want to hear, and wish wasn’t true – accept that many religious fundamentalists want to destroy America, whether you believe it is America’s fault or not.  Accept that we have weaknesses and can improve our system. Accept that our elected government has the fundamental responsibility to protect all U.S. citizens, and our constitution above all else – not foreign citizens or failed states.

We should demand reviews like this one.  We must update our processes continually.  We must ensure our good people are alert and accountable, or we guarantee another 9/11, Boston or San Bernardino.  If our enemies have their way, the next attack will be much worse.

We should protect our borders and enhance our safety, just as we lock our doors when we know there is danger.  Leaving your door open doesn’t keep bad guys away, it invites them in.

Boy Scouts of America Decides to Allow Transgendered Boys [Girls] to Enroll in Scouting Programs

John Stemberger, founder of On My Honor, Chairman of the Board of Trail Life USA, and President of the Florida Family Policy Council released the following statement in light of the Boy Scouts of America’s announcement that they would be allowing transgender boys (biological girls who want to become boys) to enroll in scouting programs:

“This is a profoundly sad but inevitable decision on the part of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).  The “key three” leadership of the BSA assured its membership less than four years ago when they voted to allow openly gay boys in the program that this would never happen.  Now untold thousands of boys in Scouting will be directly exposed to the serious psychological confusion that is characterized by those claiming to be transgender.  As a society, we should have great compassion for children suffering from gender dysphoria while getting them proper counseling and professional help.  Instead, the BSA is encouraging and facilitating a recognized mental disorder that has far reaching consequences to the health and safety of children.

Recently, the American College of Pediatricians released a formal position paper entitled “Gender Identity Harms Children” urging those working with children ‘to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex.’

Further, knowing that boys and biological girls will be showering, dressing and camping in tents together creates a clear child protection issue which is being ignored.  It’s simply stunning that a leading youth organization which parents entrust the protection of their children with has opted to again appease political activists rather than follow clear, common-sense best practices for child protection.”

In light of this decision, parents across America are even more grateful for Trail Life USA, the distinctly Christian scouting organization for boys and young men, which focuses on adventure, character, and leadership in its 700 troops in 48 states across the country.  Trail Life CEO Mark Hancock responded to the decision by saying, “Trail Life USA is saddened to see this decision by the BSA.  We assure our members and chartering organizations that we are committed to the timeless Biblical values affirmed in our Statement of Faith and Values.”

Paid Protesters at the Corner of ‘Fakenews’ and ‘Faketears’

Newsmax published an article titled “Soros Funding Airport Protests, Ban Lawsuits Against Trump’s Order” written by Eric Mac. Mac reported:

Billionaire liberal activist George Soros is helping fund the airport protests against President Donald Trump’s executive order to ban refugees from war-torn Syria indefinitely and suspend visas from seven countries for at least 30 days, as PJ Media reported Sunday.

This Soros connection, including reports of funding lawsuits to block the orders, begs the question: Are these protesters being paid to be there?

Heine’s next posted tweet is the one that outed the source of the protesters [Make The Road New York]. They are activists being paid in part by Soros.

“‘Make the Road’ is a NY-based far-left non-profit funded in part by George Soros,” Heine wrote Sunday morning.

The Democratic Senator from New York, Chuck Schumer, was seen crying when discussing President Donald Trump’s new immigration/extreme vetting Executive Order (EO). Recall that is was Senator Schumer who was an advocate for the Iraq war as well as the attack on Libya which led to the deaths of thousands of Muslim migrants and eventually to the 9/11/2012 attack at the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi.

President Trump responded to Senator Schumer’s crying during a meeting with small business leaders at the White House. President Trump said, “I noticed Chuck Schumer yesterday with the fake tears. I’m going to ask him who was his acting coach, because I know him very well. I don’t see him as a crier. If he is, he’s a different man. There’s about a 5% chance it was real. But I think they were fake tears.”

The media went wild over the weekend looking for anyone who may have been inconvenience by the Presidential Executive Order temporarily halting those from seven countries that the Obama administration named “countries of concern” from entering the United States.

What’s missing from these fake news headlines is that the EO is not a ban on immigration in general, the SAG awards is not the place nor are those who who protested, and stood against the national security policy of the United State, equipped to know what actually is in the EO. The world media coverage was as hilarious as much as it was excessive and single-minded propaganda against the President and the American people.

Democrats have exited the main stream highway and are now on the Make the Road of fakenews and faketears to political perdition. These non-mainstream positions lost them the White House. This does not bode well for Democrats during the 2018 midterm election, particularly in those former blue, now red states taken by the Republican Party.

President Trump signed an executive order halting those from seven countries that the Obama administration named “countries of concern” from entering the United States. There may be more countries placed on the list as more information is gathered by the Central Intelligence Agency, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice and Department of Defense.

Kyle Blaine and Julia Horowitz from CNN in a column titled “How the Trump administration chose the 7 countries in the immigration executive order” report:

The seven Muslim-majority countries targeted in President Trump’s executive order on immigration were initially identified as “countries of concern” under the Obama administration.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Sunday pointed to the Obama administration’s actions as the basis for their selection of the seven countries. Trump’s order bars citizens from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen from entering the U.S. for the next 90 days.

“There were further travel restrictions already in place from those seven countries,” Spicer said on ABC’s “This Week.”

“What the president did was take the first step through this executive order of ensuring that we’re looking at the entire system of who’s coming in, refugees that are coming in, people who are coming in from places that have a history or that our intelligence suggests that we need to have further extreme vetting for.”
