Senate Foreign Relations Committee passes Act aimed at Defunding Palestinian Terror

American Taylor Force killed in Jaffa, Israel by a Palestinian terrorist, March 9, 2016

Before Congress adjourned today, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee passed the Taylor Force Act (S. 1697) on a bi-partisan basis with all Republican members voting. Most Democratic members voted for the measure with one amendment introduced by Virginia Democrat Sen.Tim Kaine to keep any impounded funds for the Palestinian Authority in escrow for a year beyond any sequestration action. Other Democratic members of the Committee who voted for the Act included, Ranking Member Ben Cardin (Md), Robert Menendez (NJ), Chris Coons (De) and Ed Markey (MA).

The Act is directed at withholding U.S.funds from supporting the Palestinian Authority “pay for slay” program providing monthly stipends to terrorists in Israeli jails or their surviving families.

Analysis of the Palestinian Authority budget for 2017 revealed that such payments accounted for half of foreign aid of $693 million, $345 million. The only exempted funding allowed is for humanitarian and security purposes.

The State Department is required to report to Congress every six months on compliance with the Act. The measure now moves to a vote of the full Senate following its return from the summer recess.

The Senate Committee approval of the Act was attacked by the Chief Palestinian Authority representative in Washington, Husam Zomlot.  According to Ha’aretz Zomlot claimed  it would ‘harm’ the flagging peace process with Israel. Absurdly, Zomlot said the ‘pay for slay’ funding program “provides for the security and well-being of its people” who live under Israeli occupation.

The legislation won the support of most major US Jewish organizations including AIPAC, that announced support two days before  the scheduled vote. The Zionist Organization of America and the Orthodox Union were early supporters of the Taylor Force Act.

The eponymous Act is named for the late Taylor Force, a 29 year old West Point graduate and former US Army artillery officer, who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan . He was stabbed and killed by a Palestinian terrorist at a restaurant in Jaffa, Israel on March 9, 2016. His surviving widow was severely injured in the attack. Force, a student at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, was in Israel at the time with colleagues leaning about the dynamics of the country’s high tech start up entrepreneurship.

School Chancellor at Vanderbilt Nicholas S. Zeppos issued the following statement at the time of Force’s tragic death:

This horrific act of violence has robbed our Vanderbilt family of a young hopeful life and all of the bright promise that he held for bettering our greater world, Taylor’s family and his friends and colleagues have our deepest sympathy and utmost support.

Should the full Senate follow suit  and pass the law sending it on to President Trump for his signature  it will be a living memorial aimed at stopping the incentive for Palestinians to commit violence heedlessly taking the lives of Israelis and visiting Americans like the late Taylor Force z”l of blessed memory.

VIDEO: President Trump Reforming American Immigration for a Strong Economy

On August 3rd, 2017, President Donald Trump, alongside U.S. Senators Tom Cotton and David Perdue, announced legislation that would represent the most significant reform to our immigration system in half a century. The Reforming American Immigration for a Strong Economy (RAISE) Act will create a merit-based immigration system that protects our workers, our taxpayers, and our economy.

TRANSCRIPT

11:39 A.M. EDT

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much. It’s great to be here today to unveil legislation that would represent the most significant reform to our immigration system in half a century. I want to thank Senators Tom Cotton and David Perdue for their tremendous work in putting together this historic and very vital proposal.

As a candidate, I campaigned on creating a merit-based immigration system that protects U.S. workers and taxpayers — and that is why we are here today. Merit-based.

The RAISE Act — R-A-I-S-E — the RAISE Act will reduce poverty, increase wages, and save taxpayers billions and billions of dollars. It will do this by changing the way the United States issues Green Cards to nationals from other countries. Green Cards provide permanent residency, work authorization, and fast track to citizenship.

For decades, the United States was operated and has operated a very low-skilled immigration system, issuing record numbers of Green Cards to low-wage immigrants. This policy has placed substantial pressure on American workers, taxpayers and community resources. Among those hit the hardest in recent years have been immigrants and, very importantly, minority workers competing for jobs against brand-new arrivals. And it has not been fair to our people, to our citizens, to our workers.

The RAISE Act ends chain migration, and replaces our low-skilled system with a new points-based system for receiving a Green Card. This competitive application process will favor applicants who can speak English, financially support themselves and their families, and demonstrate skills that will contribute to our economy.

The RAISE Act prevents new migrants and new immigrants from collecting welfare, and protects U.S. workers from being displaced. And that’s a very big thing. They’re not going to come in and just immediately go and collect welfare. That doesn’t happen under the RAISE Act. They can’t do that. Crucially, the Green Card reforms in the RAISE Act will give American workers a pay raise by reducing unskilled immigration.

This legislation will not only restore our competitive edge in the 21st century, but it will restore the sacred bonds of trust between America and its citizens. This legislation demonstrates our compassion for struggling American families who deserve an immigration system that puts their needs first and that puts America first.

Finally, the reforms in the RAISE Act will help ensure that newcomers to our wonderful country will be assimilated, will succeed, and will achieve the American Dream.

I’d like now to invite Senator Cotton and Senator Perdue to say a few words. Thank you. Thank you very much.

SENATOR COTTON: Thank you, Mr. President. I’m very excited to be here with Senator Perdue and President Trump to be introducing the new version of the RAISE Act.

Our legal immigration system should accomplish two main goals: One, it should help American workers get a decent pay raise and have a higher standard of living. And, two, it should help promote economic growth to make America more competitive in the world.

Our current system simply doesn’t do that. It’s over a half-century old. It is an obsolete disaster. And it’s time for it to change.

So, first, we bring over a million immigrants into this country a year. That’s like adding the population of Montana every single year; adding the population of Arkansas every three years. The vast majority of those workers — or those immigrants come here not because of their English-language abilities or their job skills, or their job offer, or their educational attainment. In fact, only 1 in 15 — only 1 in 15 out of a million new immigrants come here because of their job skills and their ability to succeed in this economy.

That means it puts great downward pressure on people who work with their hands and work on their feet. Now, for some people, they may think that that’s a symbol of America’s virtue and generosity. I think it’s a symbol that we’re not committed to working-class Americans. And we need to change that.

Second, we also lose out on the very best talent coming to our country — the most ultra, high-skilled immigrants who can come here and bring their entrepreneurial spirit and their innovative capabilities, and make a higher wage, create new jobs for other Americans and new immigrants, speak English, and contribute to our economy, and stand on their own two feet, and pay taxes, and not receive welfare, and not drive down wages for working-class Americans.

The RAISE Act will change all of that by re-orienting our Green Card system towards people who can speak English, who have high degrees of educational attainment, who have a job offer that pays more, and a typical job in their local economy, who are going to create a new business, and who are outstanding in their field around the world.

And I’m excited, and I look forward to working with Senator Perdue and President Trump to pass this legislation through the Congress and make this kind of very fundamental, sweeping change for the first time in over 50 years to our immigration system.

Thank you.

SENATOR PERDUE: Thank you, Tom. Thank you, Mr. President. Good afternoon, everyone.

First of all, Mr. President, I want to thank you for your leadership on this immigration topic. I think this is extremely critical for our country. You talked about it often on the campaign trail. You said job one was growing the economy. That is part of why I believe you’re standing here and why I’m standing here. You’ve also said that — as a Fortune 500 CEO — I’m the only Fortune 500 CEO in Congress, and I’ve lived around the world much of my career. And I can tell you, nothing that we’re going to do right now is more important than this in terms of growing our economy.

The reason we need to do this is very simple: Our current system does not work. It keeps America from being competitive, and it does not meet the needs of our economy today. Today, as Tom said, we bring in 1.1 million legal immigrants a year. Over 50 percent of our households of legal immigrants today participate in our social welfare system. Right now, only one 1 out of 15 immigrants who come into our country come in with skills that are employable. We’ve got to change that. As business guys, Mr. President, you and I understand we need we need a new approach: We need to fix this immigration system.

So we took a look at best practices. We looked at countries like Canada, Australia, and others. What we’re introducing today is modeled on the current Canadian and Australian systems. It’s pro-worker, it’s pro-growth, and it’s been proven to work. Both have been extremely successful in attracting highly skilled workers to those countries.

We can all agree the goals of our nation’s immigration system should be to protect the interests of working Americans, including immigrants, and to welcome talented individuals who come here legally and want to work and make a better life for themselves. Our current system makes it virtually impossible for them to do that.

If we’re going to continue as the innovator in the world and the leader economically, it’s imperative that our immigration system focus on highly skilled, permanent workers who can add value to our economy and ultimately achieve their own version of the American Dream.

What we’re talking about today is very simple: It’s measured, it’s a rational approach to immigration that will allow us to finally fix once and for all this broken system in a strategic way that will reposition America as a global leader economically.

Mr. President, I am proud to stand here with you and Tom Cotton. I look forward to passing this in U.S. Congress and making this a law of the land, and letting it be a sweeping change for America. Thank you.

THE PRESIDENT: I just want to state that, as you probably have noticed, the stock market hit an all-time record high today — over 22,000. We’ve picked up, substantially now, more than $4 trillion in net worth in terms of our country, our stocks, our companies. We have a growth rate — a GDP — which has been much higher than, as you know, anybody anticipated, except maybe us. But it’s going to go up. It’s going to go higher, too. We’re doing a job.

And you’re going to see jobs are pouring back into the country. The factories and plants are coming back into the country. We’re going to start making product in America again. And that’s happening all over. As I mentioned yesterday, Foxconn is going to spend $10 billion in Wisconsin and other places. And I think the $10 billion is going to end up being $30 billion. They make the iPhones for Apple and others, and it is a truly incredible company.

So we have a lot of things happening that are really great. But again, today the stock market hit the highest level that it has ever been, and our country is doing very well.

I just want to thank you all. Tom and David are going to be outside. They’re going to speak to you at length about what we’re going to do with respect to this aspect of immigration. I think it’s going to be very, very important — the biggest in 50 years — biggest change in 50 years.

Thank you all very much.

U.S. MILITARY INFILTRATED BY ALIEN RECRUITS? Pentagon investigators discover fatal flaws in vetting process

On August 1, 2017, Fox News reported the worrying headline, “Pentagon investigators find ‘security risks’ in government’s immigrant recruitment program, ‘infiltration’ feared.”

Military bases are among the most sensitive facilities to be found in the United States. Classified materials, weapons and, of course, our members of the armed forces, can all be found on every military base. Time and again, we have seen terrorists in the Middle East carry out “Insider Attacks” by joining the military or police and then, when the opportunity presents itself, turn their weapons on their trainers and other soldiers.

Military training is highly prized and sought after by terrorists and criminals. Many terrorists travel around the world to attend terror training camps. Undoubtedly, the training our military recruits receive is a quantum leap above anything that terror training camps provide. Additionally, our soldiers learn the “playbook” employed by our military forces on the battlefield.

The thought that foreign terrorists may have successfully infiltrated our military and gained access to all of the above is highly disturbing, to put it mildly. One recruitment program, known as MAVNI (Military Accessions Vital to National Interest), has especially raised serious concerns in this context. Under this program, according to the Defense Department:

The Secretary of Defense authorized the military services to recruit certain legal aliens whose skills are considered to be vital to the national interest. Those holding critical skills – physicians, nurses, and certain experts in language with associated cultural backgrounds – would be eligible. To determine its value in enhancing military readiness, the limited pilot program will recruit up to 5,200 people in Fiscal Year 2016, and will continue through September 30, 2016.

U.S. Army soldiers giving MS13 gang sign.

The Fox News report on MAVNI began with this excerpt:

EXCLUSIVE: Defense Department investigators have discovered “potential security risks” in a Pentagon program that has enrolled more than 10,000 foreign-born individuals into the U.S. armed forces since 2009, Fox News has learned exclusively, with sources on Capitol Hill and at the Pentagon expressing alarm over “foreign infiltration” and enrollees now unaccounted for.

After more than a year of investigation, the Pentagon’s inspector general recently issued a report – its contents still classified but its existence disclosed here for the first time – identifying serious problems with Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest (MAVNI), a DOD program that provides immigrants and non-immigrant aliens with an expedited path to citizenship in exchange for military service.

Defense Department officials said the program is still active but acknowledged that new applications have been suspended.

First of all, it is extremely important to not forget the honorable and dedicated service of many foreign nationals who have served in our nation’s military.   Many have made the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard America and Americans, while others have suffered grievous injuries. Those are facts that we must never lose sight of.

However, I ask that you stop and take notice that none of the aliens who participated in MAVNI were illegal aliens. All of the aliens in this program — among whom are those who have apparently gone missing and may have used this program to infiltrate the United States and gain access to military bases and military training — were, as a requirement, legally present in the United States.

Nevertheless, even as you read this, Congress is considering the creation of a similar program for illegal aliens under the auspices of the ENLIST Act (H.R. 60) The term “ENLIST” is an acronym for: “Encourage New Legalized Immigrant to to Start Training.” This dangerous and wrong-headed program would provide illegal aliens who, in the parlance of the open borders/immigration anarchists, entered the United States “Undocumented.”

The cold, hard, irrefutable truth is that these are illegal aliens who entered the United States surreptitiously, without inspection. In other words, they are undocumented. And you cannot tell a “good guy” from a “bad guy” without a scorecard.  Undocumented aliens have no scorecards.

If there is a serious problem in vetting aliens who entered the United States with passports and visas, how in the world could our officials begin to vet aliens who evaded the inspections process conducted at ports of entry to prevent the entry of criminals, fugitives and terrorists?

Of course my question is not a really a question in search of an answer, but a rhetorical question. The answer should be self-evident.  There is no easy or effective means of vetting such aliens.

I addressed the threats that these aliens pose to national security and public safety in my recent article, When “Compassion” Endangers National Security. The lack of integrity to the vetting process for aliens who are admitted into the United States has created a deadly nightmare for America and for those who fall victim to crimes and terror attacks that these failures facilitated.

It is this lack of integrity to this vetting process that prompted President Trump to attempt to suspend the entry of aliens into the United States who are citizens of six countries associated with terrorism and whose identities and backgrounds cannot be determined with certainty. Incredibly, the Supreme Court has decided against the President’s law-based Executive Order that the media has described as a “Travel Ban,” refusing to use the actual name of that Executive Order, Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States.

That very title of that Executive Order makes its purpose crystal clear.  It is a purpose that the vast majority of American’s would undoubtedly accept and, indeed, support. Because of the de-facto censorship of “journalists”, many Americans have likely never heard the actual title of President Trump’s Executive Order. The term “Travel Ban” for citizens of “Six Muslim Majority Countries” has evoked an emotional response from many Americans who have been snookered by the media. Those six “Muslim Majority” countries have been properly identified as having an association with the threat of terrorism.

President Trump has stated that because of his concerns about the entry of potential terrorists and criminals into the United States, he has called for subjecting aliens seeking entry into the United States to “extreme vetting” when they are citizens of certain countries.

Given the unsettling findings of the Pentagon investigators — along with many other findings in the investigations conducted by a long list of other investigative agencies — the entire vetting process for aliens seeking visas and entry into the United States needs to be tightened dramatically.

This problem is not a new one. Back on May 20, 1997, I participated in my first Congressional hearing on the topic of Visa Fraud And Immigration Benefits Application Fraud. That hearing was conducted by the House Immigration Subcommittee and was predicated on two deadly terror attacks carried out in 1993 at the CIA Headquarters in Virginia in January of that year, followed the next month by the deadly bombing at the World Trade Center.

All of the perpetrators of those terror attacks were aliens who had, in one way or another, gamed the immigration system by securing visas through fraud, including the use of aliases and/or counterfeit and altered passports, by making false claims to political asylum or by committing fraud in applications for participation in the massive amnesty program that was an integral part of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).

Many terror attacks in the years after the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 involved aliens who had entered the United States through ports of entry and then embedded themselves in communities around the United States as they went about their deadly preparations.

Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is far more concerned with head counts on airliners than body counts at the morgue. Consequently, they and their allies in industry, special interest groups, government and the media, have been pushing hard to dismantle our nation’s borders, expand the Visa Waiver Program and flood America with cheap foreign labor, foreign students and foreign tourists.

That Visa Waiver Program, incidentally, should have been terminated, not expanded, after the terror attacks of September 11, 2001.

The sobering report about possible foreign malevolent infiltrators in our military must serve as a warning and a reminder that, if our leaders err, they must err on the side of caution, putting national security and public safety first.

Raheel Raza testifies before the U.S. Congress on ‘Combating Homegrown Terrorism’

This past week, Clarion Project’s spokesperson and Advisory Board Member Raheel Raza addressed the U.S. Congress in Washington D.C. on “Combating Homegrown Terrorism,” examining what America can do to counter the threat of violent extremism within domestic communities.

Watch her opening remarks.

The session was held by the Subcommittee on National Security of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and chaired by Rep. Ron DeSantis.

Excerpt from Raheel Raza’s later remarks on Political Correctness:

“It’s not about political correctness. There are people here in the West who are afraid to use the words “Islamist Ideology’ because they think that it is anti-Muslim.  It is actually very pro-Muslim, because it makes the ordinary masses of people understand the difference between the faith of Islam and an ideology which is political in nature – and which is evil.”

Clarion Project is informing and shaping the debate on matters of national and international importance, and our testimony is now part of the Congressional record and will help inform policy decisions moving forward.

Raheel Raza, an outspoken Muslim and native of Pakistan, is a leading global voice against radical extremism and human rights activist. She was featured in our award-winning film Honor Diaries, is President of Muslims Facing Tomorrow, and founding member of the Muslim Reform Movement.

‘Atomic Blonde’ Is a Serious Anti-Communist Historical Drama by Jeffrey A. Tucker

You really have to hand it to the marketing team of Atomic Blonde, the smash hit thriller starring the mighty and immensely talented Charlize Theron.

I can just imagine the way it must have gone.

Production: “This film is a serious piece of political historiography. It’s about remembering. Many young workers today were born after the Berlin Wall fell. We are in danger of losing a consciousness that communism in Europe even existed, much less how it ended. This film takes us back and shows what tyranny feels like and why it had to end.”

Marketing: “That’s fine but no one cares. So far as we are concerned, this is about a hot blonde who punches, kicks, stabs, and kills for a living, played by one of the world’s most sought-after actresses. She is beautiful and she does tough and edgy things. That’s what will draw people in.”

And that is indeed what draws the viewers. What they get, however, is a much-needed lesson in one of the most spectacular moments of modern history, one that will forever offer lessons for oppressed people everywhere.

Last Days

From watching the trailer, it is not even obvious that this film takes us back to 1989.

Based on Sam Hart’s graphic novel The Coldest City, the plot covers those thrilling and tumultuous weeks and days when Eastern Germany suddenly went from ghastly prison state to being open to the West, the final result of a vast movement of resistance from the people below. The wall fell, but it was about more than that. It was about a new way of thinking about politics at the end of the Cold War: from controlled to free in the blink of an eye.

The poverty, despotism, corruption, and despair are palpable in the scenes from socialist/communist East Germany.

All punching and shooting aside, Atomic Blonde does capture the breakneck pacing of the period, a time when events unfolded faster than the news media could cover them. Many thought that the Cold War would last forever. Then one day, it was over. At the start of the film, all Cold War dynamics are in place, with state actors killing anyone who tries to escape and spies and counterspies working their networks. To seek an end to the wall or to attempt to transverse it brought a death sentence. Real-life figures list 134 deaths trying to escape, but many estimate far more. The toll on civilization where it once thrived was far higher.

The poverty, despotism, corruption, and despair are palpable in the scenes from socialist/communist East Germany. The film tells the bitter truth that today’s fashionable socialist left so conveniently forgets. You can talk all you want about glorious socialist ideals but, in practice, socialism (because it is literally impossible to realize as an ideal) degenerates into top-down control by a police state charged with suppressing dissent. It’s not fancy; it’s just life lived on the other side of a huge wall, staring down the barrel of a gun everywhere you turned.

It matters because the East/West division after World War II provided a case study in free vs unfree economies. The West experienced what later came to be called a miracle of prosperity. The East became frozen in time just like every other case of socialism, a land of misery, statism, and impoverishment. One would think that observing this would be enough to settle this debate. But in order to learn lessons, you have to know about the experience.

The Wall

The film opens with Ronald Reagan’s famous speech demanding: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.” A text follows assuring the viewer that this movie is not about that. But actually, as it turns out, this is precisely what the film is about. We are introduced to the East German underground with its obsessions over punk rock, blue jeans, and illicit contraband of all sorts. You can call it corruption if you want, but it is the way revolt looked in those days: personal, not institutional. The total state had broken whatever faith people might have developed in normal codes of civility and morality and this is what remained.

They craved a free life, whatever that meant.

In the mid-1980s, not much about this movement was known by those of us in the United States. There was no news of daily life and very little contact, just as with North Korea today. We knew there was a tyrannical regime ruling the East Side of a once-united Germany, but we had little knowledge of the rise of a resistance movement that would eventually assist in the demolition of the wall.

The Spies

The Atomic Blonde is Lorraine Broughton, an agent of British intelligence who enters the East to find a list of double agents in Russia and Germany slated to be brought over to the West before they are slaughtered. She learns quickly that she can trust no one and faces a constant stream of lies, betrayals, violence, and death, right in the midst of emerging political chaos.

All the action seems to take place in a matter of weeks, and we are given a front-row seat to some of the strategies used by the resistance movement to foil the violence of a cruel regime.

Here’s what’s particularly interesting. The film is about spies and states. But they are not the actors that are driving the political narrative forward. The spooks did not cause the upheaval. They were there to adapt and move within the action, protecting their own as best they are able given fast-changing events. We are shown a revolution from below, how a people united in the goal of freedom will never be defeated. No matter how mighty and bloody a regime may be, it is powerless in the face of a population that refuses to submit.

And, yes, there are those hand-to-hand fight scenes that required a long period of training for Charlize (her trainers “basically made me puke every single day”). She cracked her teeth from clenching them so hard and had to get surgery to repair them. The results are spectacularly exciting, as she creatively uses intelligence and skill to overcome men twice her size. And sure, you can criticize them for their lack of realism, just as you would any James Bond flick. But that doesn’t take away the jolt you get from watching such highly stylized action. For those of us who lived through this period and recall the thrilling excitement of those days when despotism fell so hard and fast through the region, it can be frustrating to see the way the socialist aspiration is portrayed by Hollywood: beautiful, brave, and idealized.

Atomic Blonde is a much-welcome respite from such nonsense. It shows the tyranny for what it was. It even includes a horrifying lineup of dissidents who are tortured simply for their political opposition. When was the last time you have heard of a blockbuster film that did that?

Go for the fights. Go for the girl. Go for the action. Whatever drives people to this film, they cannot and will not miss the political takeaway. That wall, and the tyranny it hid, had to go.

FBI Arrest Democrat Staffer, a Pakistani Muslim, who had Access to the Emails of Every member of Congress

The Democrats have been the best friends of the Muslim community under former President Obama. This has led to the revelation that Democrats in Congress have hired Muslims to work on their staffs. This in turn has led to the recent revelation that the former DNC Chair and Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz hire three Muslim brothers and their families as IT specialists. This in turn led to the arrest of one of the Muslim brothers being arrested by the FBI on Monday, July 24th, 2017.

Currently a Congressional investigation into the Wasserman Schultz Muslim IT Spy Scandal is moving forward.

In a column titled “Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the Pakistani IT Scammers” Andrew C. McCarthy wrote:

In Washington, it’s never about what they tell you it’s about. So take this to the bank: The case of Imran Awan, Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s mysterious Pakistani IT guy, is not about bank fraud. Yet bank fraud was the stated charge on which Awan was arrested at Dulles Airport this week, just as he was trying to flee the United States for Pakistan, via Qatar. That is the same route taken by Awan’s wife, Hina Alvi, in March, when she suddenly fled the country, with three young daughters she yanked out of school, mega-luggage, and $12,400 in cash.

By then, the proceeds of the fraudulent $165,000 loan they’d gotten from the Congressional Federal Credit Union had been sent ahead. It was part of a $283,000 transfer that Awan managed to wire from Capitol Hill. He pulled it off — hilariously, if infuriatingly — by pretending to be his wife in a phone call with the credit union. Told that his proffered reason for the transfer (“funeral arrangements”) wouldn’t fly, “Mrs.” Awan promptly repurposed: Now “she” was “buying property.” Asking no more questions, the credit union wired the money . . . to Pakistan. As you let all that sink in, consider this: Awan and his family cabal of fraudsters had access for years to the e-mails and other electronic files of members of the House’s Intelligence and Foreign Affairs Committees. It turns out they were accessing members’ computers without their knowledge, transferring files to remote servers, and stealing computer equipment — including hard drives that Awan & Co. smashed to bits of bytes before making tracks.

Jim Hoft reports:

Imran Awan worked for Debbie Wasserman Schultz for thirteen years since she came into office in 2004 as a Florida representative. She only fired him this past week and would have kept paying her “IT expert” even when he was living in Pakistan.

Three Pakistani brothers who managed the IT affairs for several Democratic government officials were relieved of their duties in February on suspicion that they accessed specific computer networks without permission, also known as hacking.

Imran Awan, who started working for Wasserman Schultz in 2005, received $164,600 in 2016, with close to $20,000 of that coming from Wasserman Schultz.

His brother Jamal, who started working as a staffer in 2014, was paid $157,350.12 in 2016. Abid, who started working in 2005, was paid $160,943 in 2016.

Imran’s wife, Hina Alvi, who was employed as a staffer since February 2007, was paid 168,300 in 2016. Rao Abbas was paid $85,049 in 2016.

Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan were barred from computer networks at the House of Representatives in February.

Most of the House Members fired the Awans subsequently.

Only Debbie Wasserman Schultz kept Imran Awan on the pay roll up to the day he got arrest for bank fraud after trying to flee the country.

The rest of the family fled to Pakistan and brought with them tens of thousands of tax-payer money with them.

Democrats were willing or unwillingly compromised by the Awans and sensitive information leaked to foreign Enemies

This may be the largest breech of national security in the U.S. Congress ever.

RELEASED: GAO Study on Refugee Screening and Fraud Risks

No time to read it, but thought you should know this new General Accountability Office (GAO) study came out yesterday in Washington.  Let me know if you see anything useful!

My experience with past GAO studies on the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) is that, other than media like RRW which could use their findings to confirm a point we have made, they result in not much change in the actual operation of the the program.

Maybe I will be surprised this time.

The Humanitarian Hoax of Transgenders in the Military: Killing America With Kindness

The Humanitarian Hoax is a deliberate and deceitful tactic of presenting a destructive policy as altruistic. The humanitarian huckster presents himself as a compassionate advocate when in fact he is the disguised enemy.

Obama, the humanitarian huckster-in-chief, weakened the United States for eight years presenting his crippling transgender policies as altruistic when in fact they were designed for destruction. His legacy, the Leftist Democratic Party with its “resistance” movement, is the party of the Humanitarian Hoax attempting to destroy American democracy and replace it with socialism.

On July 26, 2017 President Trump announced a policy to ban transgender individuals from military service. The “T” in LGBT stands for transgender.

LGBTQ rights are an anthem for the leftist resistance movement. They publicly rail against Republicans as homophobes, racists, sexists, and misogynists. Their rants are emotionally charged “feel-good” slogans designed to unify their base. Sloganism is a manipulative marketing strategy designed by the advertising industry to hype the products they are trying to sell. The Leftist Democrat Party slogans are hyping transgender inclusion to sell transitioning inclusion in the military – there is a pivotal difference.

Of course transgender individuals are as patriotic as any American. Of course transgender individuals can shoot as straight as any American. Of course transgender soldiers can be as effective as any American soldier. Inclusion of transgender individuals in the military is not a matter of IF transgender individuals should be admitted it is a matter of WHEN they should be admitted.

The time for gender assignment and gender choices is BEFORE entering the military. An individual’s path to maleness or femaleness is a personal private matter and not the military’s concern. Any individual applying for military service must have matching gender, genitalia, and gender identification BEFORE entering the military. Any ambivalence, counseling, transitioning, surgeries, or any ancillary services must be completed before admittance. Let’s examine why.

Inclusion and cohesion are not the same thing.

The mission of the military is unequivocally national defense – the protection of America and the American people. The military is one of the only appropriate collectives in a democracy. The military is a unique culture with unique rules where collective units, not individuals, are prioritized and where the mission supersedes the needs of the individuals who serve. The effectiveness of the military depends on group cohesion and the ability of the group to function effectively as a single unified lethal force under extreme pressure. Anything that threatens group cohesion is contraindicated in the military.

Obama and his Leftist Democratic Legacy Party are deliberately trying to weaken and undermine group cohesion in the American military by disingenuously advocating for transgender inclusion BEFORE gender identity issues are resolved. Ambivalence, counseling, transitioning, surgeries, or any ancillary services during military service are contraindicated. Coed showering with undecided or transitioning individuals is contraindicated in the military. Obama’s directive that our men in uniform prance around in high heels to identify with women and learn how women feel is a stunning example of his sinister intention to destabilize the military. Beyond being the laughingstock of the world Obama is/was intentionally undermining the cohesiveness of the American military and its mission to preserve and protect America.

The Leftist campaign for premature transgender inclusion in the military is designed to create chaos and weaken the military’s readiness and cohesion.

If the American military is weakened and cannot protect American democracy then all the individual rights guaranteed by our Constitution including all the individual rights of the LGBTQ community are sacrificed as well. Deceptive feel-good slogans chanted by noisy politicians do not protect the individual rights of transgender individuals guaranteed by American democracy and our Constitution. It is the US military that preserves, protects, and defends those rights and it is military cohesion that makes it possible.

Destabilizing the military with destructive premature transgender policies is a Humanitarian Hoax presented as altruistic inclusion but designed to destroy the military cohesion necessary to protect and serve.

The Leftist Democratic Party presents itself as America’s advocate but is in fact America’s enemy. WHY?

The goal of the Leftist Democrat Party is to destroy American democracy and replace it with socialism. Transformative social change requires social chaos and Obama’s deceitful domestic policies were all designed to produce chaos. Chaos in the military, racial divisiveness, economic chaos, social chaos at home and chaos among nations who view a chaotic America as an unstable ally. Destabilizing America through social chaos is the structural theory of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” – Obama’s playbook.

Socialism with its complete government control is the prerequisite social structure for the globalist elite to internationalize the socialist countries, internationalize the police force, and impose enforced one-world government. One-world government is the new world order that the globalist elite intend to rule themselves. It is unapologetically described in chilling detail in Lord Bertrand Russell’s 1952 book “The Impact of Science on Society.” One-world government is a binary socio-political system of masters and slaves. There is no social justice in one-world government, there is no income equality in one-world government, there are no Leftists, environmentalists, humanitarian hucksters, transgender advocacy, diversity, or political agitators of any kind in one-world government – only a docile, compliant population of slaves ruled by the globalist elite.

One-world government is the goal and the underlying motive of the campaign to destroy America from within. By destroying the military’s ability to perform its duties Obama’s disingenuous policies in the military destabilize and weaken America domestically and internationally. Our allies no longer trust us and our enemies are emboldened.
American democracy is the single greatest existential threat to one-world government and President Donald Trump is America’s leader. The globalist elite are desperate to stop Trump because if Obama is exposed as a con man it leaves them without their primetime huckster to continue marching America toward anarchy and social chaos with his leftist resistance movement. The globalist elites who fund the leftist humanitarian hucksters are using them as useful idiots to facilitate the great Humanitarian Hoax of Transgender in the Military to create the overwhelming social chaos necessary to internationalize the police force and impose their own special brand of a new world order.

The irony is that Obama and his left-wing liberal lemmings are too arrogant to understand that they are being used as puppets by the globalist elite who have an end game of their own. If the globalist elite are successful in their efforts to weaken America and destroy military cohesiveness through Obama’s deceitful transgender/transitioning inclusion campaign, overthrow the US government of President Donald Trump, and transform America into socialism the next step is globalist conquest and the imposition of one-world government.

After 241 years of American freedom the world will be returned to the dystopian existence of masters and slaves because a willfully blind American public was seduced by the Humanitarian Hoax of Transgender in the Military advanced by leftist humanitarian hucksters promising protection and safety for their victimized community. The Humanitarian Hoax will have succeeded in killing America with “kindness.”

State Department officials quitting over ‘complete and utter disdain for our expertise’

We can only hope that with the departure of these failed State Department officials, their failed policies will be swept out along with them. Chief among these is the almost universally held idea that poverty causes terrorism. The United States has wasted uncounted (literally, because a great deal of it was in untraceable bags full of cash) billions of dollars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Egypt, and other countries in the wrongheaded assumption that Muslims turn to jihad because they lack economic opportunities and education. American officials built schools and hospitals, thinking that they were winning over the hearts and minds of the locals.

Fifteen years, thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars later, no significant number of hearts and minds have been won. This is partly because the premise is wrong. The New York Times reported in March that “not long after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001…Alan B. Krueger, the Princeton economist, tested the widespread assumption that poverty was a key factor in the making of a terrorist. Mr. Krueger’s analysis of economic figures, polls, and data on suicide bombers and hate groups found no link between economic distress and terrorism.”

CNS News noted in September 2013 that “according to a Rand Corporation report on counter terrorism, prepared for the Office of the Secretary of Defense in 2009, ‘Terrorists are not particularly impoverished, uneducated, or afflicted by mental disease. Demographically, their most important characteristic is normalcy (within their environment). Terrorist leaders actually tend to come from relatively privileged backgrounds.’ One of the authors of the RAND report, Darcy Noricks, also found that according to a number of academic studies, ‘Terrorists turn out to be more rather than less educated than the general population.’”

Yet the analysis that poverty causes terrorism has been applied and reapplied and reapplied again. The swamp is in dire need of draining, and in other ways as well. From 2011 on, it was official Obama administration policy to deny any connection between Islam and terrorism. This came as a result of an October 19, 2011 letter from Farhana Khera of Muslim Advocates to John Brennan, who was then the Assistant to the President on National Security for Homeland Security and Counter Terrorism, and later served in the Obama administration as head of the CIA. The letter was signed not just by Khera, but by the leaders of virtually all the significant Islamic groups in the United States: 57 Muslim, Arab, and South Asian organizations, many with ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Muslim American Society (MAS), the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), Islamic Relief USA; and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).

The letter denounced what it characterized as U.S. government agencies’ “use of biased, false and highly offensive training materials about Muslims and Islam.” Despite the factual accuracy of the material about which they were complaining, the Muslim groups demanded that the task force “purge all federal government training materials of biased materials”; “implement a mandatory re-training program for FBI agents, U.S. Army officers, and all federal, state and local law enforcement who have been subjected to biased training”; and moreto ensure that all that law enforcement officials would learn about Islam and jihad would be what the signatories wanted them to learn.

Numerous books and presentations that gave a perfectly accurate view of Islam and jihad were removed from coounterterror training. Today, even with Trump as President, this entrenched policy of the U.S. government remains, and ensures that all too many jihadists simply cannot be identified as risks, since the officials are bound as a matter of policy to ignore what in saner times would be taken as warning signs. Trump and Tillerson must reverse this. Trump has spoken often about the threat from “radical Islamic terrorism”; he must follow through and remove the prohibitions on allowing agents to study and understand the motivating ideology behind the jihad threat.

The swamp needs draining indeed. This news from the State Department, and the New York Times’ grief over it, are good signs that the U.S. is on its way back on dry land.

“The Desperation of Our Diplomats,”

by Roger Cohen, New York Times, July 28, 2017:

WASHINGTON — On the first Friday in May, Foreign Affairs Day, the staff gathers in the flag-bedecked C Street lobby of the State Department beside the memorial plaques for the 248 members of foreign affairs agencies who have lost their lives in the line of duty. A moment of silence is observed. As president of the American Foreign Service Association, Barbara Stephenson helps organize the annual event. This year, she was set to enter a delegates’ lounge to brief Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on its choreography before appearing alongside him. Instead, she told me, she was shoved out of the room.

Stephenson, a former ambassador to Panama, is not used to being manhandled at the State Department she has served with distinction for more than three decades. She had been inclined to give Tillerson the benefit of the doubt. Transitions between administrations are seldom smooth, and Tillerson is a Washington neophyte, unversed in diplomacy, an oilman trying to build a relationship with an erratic boss, President Trump.

Still, that shove captured the rudeness and remoteness that have undermined trust at Foggy Bottom. Stephenson began to understand the many distressed people coming to her “asking if their service is still valued.” The lack of communication between the secretary and the rest of the building has been deeply disturbing.

An exodus is underway. Those who have departed include Nancy McEldowney, the director of the Foreign Service Institute until she retired last month, who described to me “a toxic, troubled environment and organization”; Dana Shell Smith, the former ambassador to Qatar, who said what was most striking was the “complete and utter disdain for our expertise”; and Jake Walles, a former ambassador to Tunisia with some 35 years of experience. “There’s just a slow unraveling of the institution,” he told me….

Muslim professor at University of California calls for ‘intifada’ in America

University of California’s Hatem Bazian, co-founder of the anti-Israel Students for Justice in Palestine, has been calling for intifada in the United States.

It was a matter of time before jihad-minded Muslim leaders in the U.S. started calling for “intifada” (violent uprising) on American soil. It is the result of too much kowtowing by non-Muslim authorities to Islamic supremacists. This brazenness is bound to get much worse, given that there is far too much acceptance today of Palestinian propaganda against Israel, and Palestinian victimology narratives. Even at violence-inciting al-Quds Day rallies, chants of “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” ring out, with no fear of legal consequences.

An example of this brazenness came earlier this week when a California mosque defended an imam “who prayed that Allah would “annihilate” Jews.”

More on this story. “US Professor: ‘How come we don’t have intifada in this country?’”, by Mordechai Sones, Arutz Sheva, July 27, 2017:

University of California’s Hatem Bazian, co-founder of the anti-Israel Students for Justice in Palestine, has been calling for intifada in the United States, as documented in a video by Canary Mission.

In it, Prof. Bazian is seen in various venues calling for intifada in the United States.

Bazian is not the only US Muslim in a leadership position who has been calling for violent uprising. Last week, Arutz Sheva reported on MEMRI’s video of Egyptian-born American Imam Ammar Shahin delivering a Friday sermon at the Islamic Center of Davis, northern California, where he called for the slaughter of all Jews…..

The Best Way to Get Regime Change in North Korea

Chaver Stephen Bryen has a practical solution for the increasing threat of North Korean long range missiles to the continental U.S. Something that might equally apply to Iran: shoot them down.

That would require our Missile Defense Agency to bolster current weapons programs and get the Trump Administration State Department to create effective information programs for North Koreans aimed at regime change.

The trick is can we do that without triggering a brusque response from China. Frankly do we have the means to do that given our track record in tests of Ground Based Mid Course interceptors and Aegis Standard missile 3s and the THAAD systems whch could be embarrassing if we miss.

As Bryen and others including us have argued, we lack a boost phase capability like a high energy laser system that the Air Force abandoned and the Navy has developed a demonstrated a ship borne system.

As to regime change in North Korea expansion of a program to flood the hermetic kingdom with thumb drives containing videos of those South Korean soap operas and comments by defectors might have surprising salutary effect on those deriving and starving civilians.

But there may be a way to induce regime officials to abandon the hereditary regime a proposed $175 billion re-unification fund SEE: Shoshana Bryen and Stephen Bryen, “The Best Way to Get Regime Change in North Korea.

There is a way to slow down North Korea’s missile program and there is no need to launch any military attack on the Pyongyang regime.

‘The Western Democratic World Is Assisting Iran to More Brutally Suppress it’s Voiceless People’

Violations against human rights by the Islamic Republic in Iran must be seriously investigated by The International Criminal Court and dealt with.

In January 1979, leaders of The United States, England, France and Germany met on Guadalupe Island for a three-day conference from January 3-7 where they decided to remove the Iranian Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and replace him with Ayatollah Khomeini, a medieval minded jihadi Shiite Islamic leader who was living in exile in France at that time. Those Western leaders thought the Shah was too competent and modern for the Middle East and the West. In this decision, the Iranian nation also played a significant role as without the power of the masses the Western Powers would not be able to overthrow the Shah. At Guadalupe conference, the Western Powers decided to destroy the Middle East, and her peace and stability, which history has proved, and we know what has happened since.

38 years later, on January 16, 2016, the World Powers completed their mission and signed a very dangerous Nuke Deal with the Khomeneist regime in Iran and buried Peace, Freedom and Democracy in the World. The World powers also signed the Iranian nation’s oppression and locked them up in an “Iran jail” for eternity.

But, Western Powers underestimated that while the US released 150 Billion Dollars to the Tehran regime, the Islamic Republic in Iran acknowledged 200,000 armed youth in five countries.  According to a report by AAWSAT.COM, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has four major forces, which are the Ground Forces, Air Force, Navy, and Missile Force. Recently, and according to an expert who observes Iranian affairs, the IRGG introduced its fifth force, which is the “Electronic, Intelligence and Cultural Deterrence Force”  where they also created over fifty proxy Shiite terrorist groups alone in Iraq and Syria.

Iran’s terrorist Forces, IRGC, working outside Iran through its terrorist Quds Forces, which is led by their general Qassem Soleimani, creates massive unrest in the region through their Iranian proxies.

The International community must also be appalled and demonstrate serious concern and outrage about Iran’s human rights record, holding the Islamic Republic accountable for their systematic violations of human rights.

Under the presidency of Hassan Rouhani there is increased numbers of executions, amputations, arbitrary arrest and detention, unfair trials, torture, and ill-treatment of human rights activists, lawyers, journalists, union members, opposition activists, persecution of minorities, including Arabs, Armenians, Azeris, Balouchs, Sunnis, Christians, Jews. Baha’is, and the kurds. Kurds, which make up about 12 percent of the population of Iran, are continually being arrested and executed on various charges, including Moharebeh (being “enmity against God”).

A sad note here is that despite its ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights the Islamic republic of Iran is the highest executioner of juveniles.

Violations against human rights by the Islamic Republic in Iran must be seriously investigated by The International Criminal Court and dealt with.

Under Iran’s present constitution, key members of the government, parliament, judiciary, and military must be Shiites, leaving Sunnis, Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians and others as second-class citizens, facing harsh treatment whenever they practice their faith openly. Sunnis are not granted permits to even build mosques in Tehran and every time they apply for (a) permit, the application gets rejected.

According to Iran’s officials, Iran is the “freest” country and has no political prisoners … BUT, the regime they represent is Free to Humiliate, Free to Imprison, Free to Torture, Free to Rape, Free to Amputate, Free to Execute, and Free to Silence the dissidents and the activists and those who oppose them inside Iran …

This is the regime that Hassan Rouhani is representing, a regime that its head of The Human Rights Council shamelessly proclaims “there is nothing more beautiful than stoning to death, cutting limbs and taking an eye out of its socket! This is Islamic Sharia law at work.”

The Liberal government of Canada, instead of rewarding the Islamic republic in Iran and promising them the reopening of their embassy and Iran -Canada ties, should hold this criminal terrorist regime accountable and stand in solidarity with the voiceless people in Iran, especially the Kurds, and speak against the persecution they continue to endure.

I strongly believe our hardships will overcome if we join together in unity and speak with one voice against this gross injustice that has plagued the United Nations. This overcoming will only happen if we speak up and exert inescapable pressure on local, national, regional, and international governments and organizations.

The desire for rights and freedom is inherent in the nature of our species. For this reason when they are not given, they are demanded. Together we must raise awareness and be the voice of those whose voice are being muted by repression and even now are struggling to be heard, and those who have been silenced and are no longer with us.

We must insure the Islamic republic of Iran hears our message clearly: “Your disingenuous polices, practices, and discrimination are evidence that you are an international outlaw and have no place in the United Nations, and that your inhuman ideology has no place what so ever in the world.”

The truth about the Islamic republic of Iran needs to reach the ears and hearts of the world, for knowledge is the vessel of constructive change.

Former INS Agent: Media Should ‘Fire’ Reporters Who Don’t Report Gang Violence

Former Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) agent Michael Cutler told Newsmax TV‘s “Newsmax Now” on Friday the media needed to “fire” their reporters and “start over with new employees” in order to get the message out about the violence posed by gangs and the horrific acts attributed to the infamous MS-13 gang.

“Fire them and start over with new employees,” Cutler said. “They’ve been brainwashed or they have a real problem with the truth. I’m talking about the media. Fire them right now.”

Cutler said the media had blurred “the distinction between citizens, immigrants and illegal aliens.” He explained immigration laws were designed to “keep out aliens who pose a threat to national security and public safety and make certain that aliens who do enter the United States don’t pose a threat to the livelihoods of Americans.”

Cutler explained he began investigating MS-13 on Long Island 25 years ago when it was a “minor problem,” but said it now had “metastasized into one of the biggest challenges facing law enforcement across the country.” He attributed the rise to “not so benign neglect.”

“We’ve got to go after these people. They are killing children. They are recruiting kids as young as eight years old in public school. They’re responsible for an estimated 20 homicides in less than two years just out on Long Island,” he said.

“How in the world do you ignore that threat and accuse law enforcement of being violent when these folks are carving up children, young girls, wreaking havoc in the ethnic immigrant communities,” he added.

News programs that referred to President Donald Trump’s executive order on immigration as a “travel ban of aliens from Muslim majority countries” should actually call it by its official title, which is “Protecting The Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States,” Cutler maintained.

On Friday Trump traveled to Long Island to urge Congress to increase funding for his crackdown on illegal immigration and violent crime. Targeting MS-13 is a top priority of his administration.

“Together we’re going to restore safety to our streets and peace to our communities and we’re going to destroy the vile, criminal cartel MS-13 and many other gangs,” Trump said Friday, CNN reported.

U.S. Military is Not a Petri Dish for Transgender Experiments

The United States military has one, single purpose: To destroy an enemy’s ability to wage war against the United States. Period. That’s it.

Among other things, this requires cohesive teamwork, focus, reliability and mental and emotional toughness. The presence of transgender individuals in military units undermines each of those requirements — overwrought transgender protestations notwithstanding.

Transgenders in a tight-knit military unit in a hot war obviously present a distraction in such a high stress environment. Are you supposed to call the hairy guy on patrol with you Sarah because he is transgender or transgendering? Obvious distraction and added stress.

Because the surgeries can put transgenders out of service for weeks and the hormone treatments affect them for months or even years, they can be unreliable to be ready when needed.

And mental toughness? Well if you are a man, but think you are actually a woman trapped in a man’s body, I feel badly for you, but that is not a sign of mental and emotional toughness. Until just 10 years ago it was considered a mental illness, a psychological illness called gender dysphoria and people suffering from it were treated to be cured. Further, it is a fact that transgendered Americans suffer disproportionately from mental illness, and are more prone to suicide, along with drug and alcohol abuse.

Under President Obama, who seemed to do everything possible to weaken the U.S. military’s ability to carry out its sole function, the military became one social justice experiment after another — each one eating away at the cohesiveness and teamwork and focus required. For him, striking down gender normatives seemed more important than putting our fighting men and women in the best position to carry out their sole function with the minimum of harm to themselves.

So Trump, after long consultations with his military leaders, tweeted Wednesday: “After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military.” Followed by: “Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you”

This is the correct position, even if it was done clunkily with a tweet before the policy could be ironed out.

Focusing the fighting force on fighting

President Trump has had Defense Secretary Jim Mattis researching the place of transgenders in the military, along with many other distractions for soldiers. A month ago, Mattis placed a six-month moratorium on recruiting transgenders into the military.

Trump’s policy fits with Mattis’s goal for the armed forces.

According to a memo obtained by Fox News, Mattis wants to eliminate extraneous military education and reinvigorate the armed services in the art of “warfighting.” The memo said this came after complaints by thousands of military members that their time is being wasted by hours of mandatory training, covering active shooters, sexual harassment, stress management and more.

In other words, it was transforming into a liberal playground of social issues.

Trump said throughout the campaign that he would listen to his generals, and his actions are in line with Mattis’ actions. Whether that happened in this case — that Trump acted on advice from his military leaders — we don’t know for sure, but we can be confident there will be leaks on the issue if those leaks can embarrass Trump.

Naturally, the LGBTQ folks spun into hysterical fits of outrage — it’s kind of their go-to response to everything — and the rapid reaction squad was to be found everywhere in the more-than-friendly mainstream media. (I was on an ABC panel the same evening as they switched their normal programming. The discussion was far apart, but quite civil. But it was also two gay/transgender activists and myself.)

The new policy also had its brave supporters in Congress — brave because gay activists can be relentless and go far beyond your basic activist.

U.S. Rep. Vicky Jo Hartzler, a Missouri Republican, tweeted: “President Trump’s decision today to rescind Obama’s transgender military policy has the best interests of the military in mind, and I thank him for taking this decisive action.”

Transgender policy is only one year old

It should be remembered that Obama did not change the policy on transgenders serving openly in the military until June 2016, when he had only a few months left in office. It was kind of a low act because he got to take credit for the new policy without having to deal with any fallout.

So Trump’s decision reverses a policy that was merely a year old.

In addition to aiding military preparedness, the policy is perhaps the beginning of the end of giving special medical privileges that contort the military for social experimentation and force everyone in the chain of command to walk on eggshells soas to not offend a tiny percentage of people who are confused about the reality of who they are.

None of this is to question the patriotism of transgendered Americans. Sure, there are going to be some who enlisted to get the surgeries and hormone treatments paid for by taxpayers, but many others serve for the sake of serving.

But the military is not a platform for social justice.

The transgender individual on the ABC panel with me said the military should be diverse, and look like the rest of the country. No. The military should fulfill its sole purpose of destroying the enemy’s ability to wage war against America.

And that’s it.
