Biden Will Not Prioritize Americans Over Afghans in Afghanistan Evacuation

President Joe Biden is not planning to prioritize thousands of American citizens stranded in evacuations from Afghanistan, as the country falls similar to that of the Fall of Saigon in 1975, over Afghan nationals applying for visas to the United States.

Pentagon press secretary John Kirby confirmed to Fox News on Sunday evening that the administration will not give priority evacuation to Americans in Afghanistan over Afghans applying for visas.

President Joe Biden is not planning to prioritize thousands of American citizens stranded in evacuations from Afghanistan, as the country falls similar to that of the Fall of Saigon in 1975, over Afghan nationals applying for visas to the United States.

Pentagon press secretary John Kirby confirmed to Fox News on Sunday evening that the administration will not give priority evacuation to Americans in Afghanistan over Afghans applying for visas.

As Breitbart News reported, the State Department and Defense Department have said there are “thousands” of Americans left in Afghanistan.

“Once we get more airlift out of Kabul, we’re going to put as many people on those planes as we can,” Kirby told Fox News:

There will be a mix, not just American citizens, but perhaps some Afghan [Special Immigrant Visa] applicants as well. We’re going to focus on getting people out of the country, then sorting it out at the next stop. It’s not going to be just Americans first, then [Special Immigrant Visa] applicants.

According to an anonymous source at the Defense Department who spoke to Fox News, the administration is considering fast-tracking some 30,000 Afghan nationals into the U.S., sending them to Fort McCoy in Monroe County, Wisconsin, and Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, using the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program.

The Biden administration, though, is seemingly expanding its intake of Afghans beyond those who would qualify for SIV status — typically interpreters and their family members — to include thousands who worked for military contractors, U.S.-based media outlets, or a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Afghanistan.

In July, the Biden administration resettled about 200 Afghan interpreters and their family members at Fort Lee in Prince George County, Virginia, before they are resettled across the U.S. An additional 2,500 Afghans and their families had been set to arrive in the U.S. while 4,000 were expected to be sent to third countries while awaiting their visa processing.

House Democrats and Republicans passed legislation that allows Afghans seeking SIVs to bypass standard medical exam requirements before they arrive in the U.S. Only 46 House Republicans opposed the plan.

The Taliban are devout Muslims who follow Islamic texts and teachings.

Sex slavery and rape of the infidel is sanctioned and rewarded under Islam. Muslim clerics all over the world confirm the right to have sex slaves. It is in the Qur’an — the word of Allah.

ISIS clerics had decided that having slaves was religiously sanctioned, institutionalizing sexual violence across their caliphate. Women have reported being tied to beds during daily assaults. They were sold from man to man. Gang rape was common

Islamic doctrines command Muslim men to hate all non-Muslims and to see women—especially infidel women—as little more than sex objects (or, in the words of a Muslim who recently murdered a Christian girl in Pakistan for refusing him sex, “Christian girls are only meant for one thing: the [sexual] pleasure of Muslim men.”

Moreover, Islamic clerics routinely encourage Muslims to migrate to the West and help empower Islam anyway they can—including through propaganda, proselytization, apologetics, births, theft, etc.—and not just through violent jihad. If they do any of these, they technically become jihadis (after all and as the apologists are fond of insisting, jihad literally means “striving” on behalf of Islam.) Thus many Muslim rapists in Europe believe it is their Islamic right and reward to molest and rape infidel women. (more here)

Taliban fighters are going door-to-door and forcibly marrying girls as young as 12 and forcing them into sex slavery as they seize vast swathes of the Afghanistan from government forces.

Jihadist commanders have ordered imams in areas they have captured to bring them lists of unmarried women aged from 12 to 45  for their soldiers to marry because they view them as ‘qhanimat’ or ‘spoils of war’ – to be divided up among the victors.

Fighters have then been going door-to-door to claim their ‘prizes’, even looking through the wardrobes of families to establish the ages of girls before forcing them into a life of sexual servitude.

The women and girls’ brutal treatment is just the latest sign of Afghanistan’s military collapse, which has prompted the Afghan president to sack his top commander.

One female journalist described fleeing a city in northern Afghanistan – which she did not name – and going into hiding with her uncle for fear the Islamists would hunt her down and execute her.

The 22-year-old said she fled under the noses of Taliban gunmen while disguised beneath a burqa and went with her unclear to a nearby village – but was forced to flee again after informants told the militants of her presence.

Now holed up in a remote location somewhere in the country’s north, she said she fears for her life and the safety of her family –  ‘Will I ever go home? Will I see my parents again? Where will I go? How will I survive,’ she said.

Meanwhile terrified locals who fled the city of Kunduz – captured by the Taliban last week – have told of reprisal attacks carried out by jihadist fighters who hunted down anyone linked to the government and beheaded or executed them.

The Taliban has now captured nine of Afghanistan’s 34 provincial capitals and placed most of the country’s largest cities under siege in a lighting-fast assault that has seen government forces largely capitulate.

‘Sometimes I have to pick up a gun’, says female Afghan governor

Salima Mazari is one of only three female governors in Afghanistan, having been appointed to lead the northern Charkint district – close to the city of Mazar-i-Sharif – in 2019.

Born and raised in Tehran after her parents fled Soviet invasion in 1979, she was schooled at the University of Tehran and held a post at the the International Organization for Migration before returning home.

There, she helped to establish fighting units in her mostly-rural district after requests for reinforcements to the central government were ignored.

So far she has recruited 600 locals to fight, many of them farmers who had not previously taken up arms.

Many of them, including Mazari, are from the Hazara community – most of whom are Shia Muslims, who the Sunni Taliban consider a heretical sect.

That, plus the fact that she is a woman, has made the district a target – meaning Mazari herself has taken up arms and joined the frontlines.

Aged in her 40s,  Mazari has already survived several Taliban ambushes and attempts to affix explosive mines to her car. But they have not deterred her.

Of the three Afghan districts run by women, hers is the only one that the Taliban has never fully captured – though half of it is currently in the hands of the militants, and attacks are becoming more common.

That is despite the fact that it is located in the country’s north – traditionally an anti-Taliban stronghold but that has been rapidly overrun by the militants in recent days.

Mazari vowed: ‘If we don’t fight now against the extremist ideologies and the groups that force them on us, we will lose our chance to defeat them.

‘They will succeed. They will brainwash society into accepting their agenda.’

The journalist, who spoke anonymously for fear the Taliban will find her, told The Guardian that her life was upturned in two days as fighters approached her home in the north of the country last week.

 She described fleeing under the noses of Taliban fighters attacking the city with rockets and rifles, hiding underneath a chadari or full Afghan burqa.

Accompanied by her uncle, she fled to a nearby village but was soon informed that locals had tipped off the Taliban about her arrival – and that everybody would be slaughtered if fighters arrived and found her there.

The pair fled again, this time walking two hours on foot to an even-more remote location where she is now holed up. She has had no contact with her parents since she fled, after all telephone lines in the city were cut.

Having seized a handful of regional capitals, most in the north of the country, the Taliban now have the city of Mazar-i-Sharif in their sights – with President Ghani flying there today to rally troops and confer with local warlords in the hopes of preventing a rout.

Ghani met with Atta Mohammad Noor, Mazar’s strongman leader, and Abdul Rashid Dostum, a notorious anti-Taliban warlord who served in Soviet ranks, to plan the city’s defence after skirmishes on its outskirts on Tuesday.

The Afghan president also sacked his top commander, Gen. Wali Ahmadzai, and replaced him with Gen. Hibatullah Alizai after a series of battlefield defeats that has left the army stunned and bloodied.

While Ghani attempts to mount a defence against the Taliban, the war is already consumed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Afghanis forced to flee Taliban guns, bombs, and persecution.

The Taliban has rapidly captured territory in Afghanistan, starting in April when Joe Biden said he would keep an promise made by Donald Trump to have all US forces out of the country by September 11.

With US forces now all-but gone, the jihadists have made rapid gains – sweeping through rural areas and overrunning poorly-defended government outposts.

Biden’s Handlers Discussing Requiring Vaccine for Interstate Travel

The Left’s taste for totalitarianism is increasingly obvious. There have been calls from Leftists for the opponents of the still-unapproved vaccines to be shot (with a gun, not a hypodermic needle), or at the very least arrested and imprisoned, and on Thursday AP reported that Biden handlers had discussed “mandating vaccines for interstate travel,” but decided against doing so because “the administration worried that they would be too polarizing for the moment.” For the moment. That means we should watch for this particular trial balloon to be floated again after the establishment media has pounded the American people with fear propaganda for a few more months.

Even the fact that this idea has been broached should send chills down the spine of everyone who is aware of how totalitarian regimes work. Internal passports are one of their hallmarks, as they enable easy, centralized data collection about the population and its political leanings, along with ready knowledge of each individual’s whereabouts, which is always handy when the time comes for that knock on the door at 3 a.m. At a time when the Democratic leadership is doing everything it can to stir up hysteria about a fictional “insurrection” and talking about acting against a largely chimerical “white supremacist terrorism,” the idea of internal passports should be a matter of serious concern.

On December 27, 1932, the Soviet Union established the “Unified Passport System within the USSR,” severely restricting travel within the country and requiring Soviet citizens to carry passports for travel inside the workers’ paradise, so as to aid in “the removal of persons not engaged in industrial or other socially-useful work from towns and cleansing of towns from hiding kulaks, criminals and other antisocial elements.” “Kulaks” was the Stalin regime’s word for peasants they didn’t find sufficiently enthusiastic for the arrival of Communism; the internal passports were designed to aid in identifying and rooting out such undesirable elements and enemies of the regime.

Victor Davis Hanson recently pointed out that “once the delta variant arrived in force in early summer, earlier government assurances that the vaccinated were now free to resume a normal life lost credibility. Confused and mixed messages followed — simultaneously downplaying and exaggerating the efficacy of the vaccinations.” Yet in the face of this loss of credibility, Biden’s handlers have not eased off on their vaccination push, but have only intensified it. AP noted: “When the pace of vaccinations in the U.S. first began to slow, President Joe Biden backed incentives like million-dollar cash lotteries if that’s what it took to get shots in arms.” Yes, it’s a vaccine so safe, so effective, so widely trusted, that Biden’s handlers were willing to bribe Americans to get it.

The cash lotteries were the carrot; now comes the stick. “In just the past two weeks,” says AP: “Biden has forced millions of federal workers to attest to their vaccination status or face onerous new requirements. He’s met with business leaders at the White House to press them to do the same.” And that’s not remotely all. Biden’s handlers have also “taken steps toward mandating shots for people traveling into the U.S. from overseas.” Much more is coming, “including potential support for school districts imposing rules to prevent spread of the virus over the objection of Republican leaders.”

As Kabul Falls, Joe Biden Poses for a Photo-Op

As U.S.-backed Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country and Taliban leaders posed for pictures inside the presidential palace in Kabul, Old Joe Biden’s handlers published a photo of their own. The White House Twitter account posted a photo of Old Joe sitting alone at a massive conference table at Camp David, with the caption: “This morning, the President and Vice President met with their national security team and senior officials to hear updates on the draw down of our civilian personnel in Afghanistan, evacuations of SIV applicants and other Afghan allies, and the ongoing security situation in Kabul.”

Joe was posed looking pensively at a huge screen on the wall, where various participants in a Zoom meeting could be seen: the vice president as promised, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, various officials of the CIA, the DNI, and other agencies, plus — significantly — “Doha Station.” Biden has been receiving harsh criticism for being AWOL while Afghanistan fell more quickly than anyone in his administration expected, and the photo was apparently issued to fool the rubes into thinking that the great statesman was actually hard at work, ever-vigilant to preserve, protect, and defend the United States of America and its citizens.

The White House’s photo and caption, however, inadvertently only put a spotlight on the fact that the withdrawal from Afghanistan has been catastrophically mishandled. As the Taliban held a press conference from the presidential palace in Kabul just five weeks after Old Joe denied that “a Taliban takeover of Afghanistan” was “now inevitable” and insisted that it was “not true” that the Afghan government would “likely collapse,” the White House spoke blandly about Biden and Harris hearing “updates on the draw down of our civilian personnel in Afghanistan.”

It’s not a “draw down,” it’s a rout, and everyone knows it – everyone, that is, with the possible exception of Old Joe, sitting alone at his huge conference table, pretending to be briefed about this disaster and simultaneously pretending that it isn’t a disaster.

The photo also highlighted how useless Biden really is. It was supposed to show how he is still in charge of the situation even while “vacationing” at Camp David, but the fact that it is all that we have seen of him while the Taliban rapidly overran all of Afghanistan that was not already under its control only highlights the fact that where Biden is and what he is doing really doesn’t matter much in terms of the direction of United States foreign (or domestic) policy. The people who are running this administration continue to run it whether he is in Washington or Wilmington or Camp David. They bring him out for a press conference in which he takes only carefully scripted questions, or pose him for a photo-op now and again, but it’s all just for appearances.

PODCAST: What’s Not To Understand? Honest Journalism is Dead!

I find it fascinating most Americans do not seem to grasp the correlation between the recent rise of the Covid-19 virus and our problem with illegal immigration. They simply cannot fathom one directly affects the other. To illustrate, despite the Biden Administration’s attempts to cajole people to wear masks and take the vaccine, new cases have risen 86% across the United States, mostly driven by the new Delta variant. Keep in mind, the president has not just been encouraging people to use the vaccine, they are pushing strongly to mandate its use.

The surge in Covid-19 can be directly linked to the voluminous number of illegal immigrants crossing our border in the South. The number has gone up every month during the Biden presidency, with July peaking at 212,672 illegals. To date, over 1.3 million people have illegally crossed in 2021. Interestingly, they are not provided masks or vaccinations, yet they are shuttled across the country by bus or plane to states and communities throughout the country. If the Biden administration was truly interested in curbing the disease, you would think they would supply both before releasing them to the public. The fact of the matter is, they do not.

Allowing illegals is also likely to have a bearing on the spike in violent crime, something that is also surging.

So, the question is, why is the American public oblivious to this simple link between Covid-19 and illegal immigration? The answer is rather obvious, the News Media is shielding the president from any bad publicity. The media is no longer about honest journalism, but rather, acting as a political organ for the Democrats.

The main stream media’s approach to news is costing them dearly. At CNN and MSNBC alone, their ratings are tanking, mostly because they no longer have Trump to kick around anymore. Instead, they attack Fox’s Tucker Carlson (who has the #1 cable show).

There is more: a recent Gallup poll shows an erosion in trust for the media. For newspapers, only 21% of respondents said they had “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in newspapers. Television news was even lower, at 16%. Congress was at the bottom of the list at 12%. All of the institutions mentioned in the report had dropped in ratings since last year, except one, the Police which gained in stature to 51%.

This lack of trust in the News Media is caused by their false reporting, which has become apparent to the American populace and explains why they are clueless as to what is going on in this country. What I have mentioned herein is nothing new, but it should be startling to those who have been misled by the press.

Interestingly, the only way to save the Lame Stream Media is to have Donald Trump run for President in 2024. They will finally have something to talk about again; falsely of course, but as we all know, this doesn’t matter to the media.

Biden’s Rout in Kabul: You own this, Joe!

For decades, Joe Biden has touted himself as a foreign policy genius. As a United States senator, he never had to make a decision or bear responsibility for running off at the mouth. As vice-president, he was given backwaters such as Ukraine that he reportedly turned into a family piggy bank.

But now he is president. He owns the utter disaster that Afghanistan has become; and the sudden about-face of the Pentagon to send 3,000 fully-armed combat troops back into the fray shows that even the woke military bosses Biden installed can wake up and smell the coffee.

Would Donald Trump have done this differently?

Remember that Trump fired Ambassador John Bolton as national security advisor when Bolton openly rebelled against Trump’s decision to negotiate a peace agreement with the Taliban.

Trump’s deal set a firm withdrawal date for U.S. combat troops — May 1, 2021.

But that’s where the similarities with Biden end. As Trump recounted three weeks ago at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Phoenix, he bombed the Taliban to the negotiating table.

After warning Taliban leader Hibatullah Akhundzada that he would “come back and hit you harder than any country has ever been hit” if he welched on the deal, Trump made good on his threat and launched punishing airstrikes the first time the Taliban violated the agreement.

Since then, not a single U.S. soldier has died in combat in Afghanistan.

Trump also maintained U.S. fighter jets and armed drones at Bagram airbase and used them to keep the Taliban in check. Biden ordered the midnight evacuation of the airbase on July 5 without even notifying the Afghan military. Not surprisingly, within hours the Taliban had looted the base and today our remaining troops have no U.S. air cover.

The Pentagon is desperate to avoid a rout that is broadcast live on prime time. They want no helicopters taking off from the roof of the U.S. embassy with desperate Afghans clinging to the skids, as happened in Saigon in 1975. They want no Blackhawk downs, or civilian contractors hung from bridges, all of which could have happened if they had allowed Biden’s retreat to continue as planned.

“All those lives lost, and we didn’t resolve anything,” said Bill Craun, a former private military contractor in Afghanistan and Iraq who has authored a new book, Working the Kill Zone. “Now the Taliban is going to kill everyone who had anything to do with us.”

The Pentagon estimated on Friday that the Taliban will sweep into Kabul in thirty days. I would treat that prediction like last night’s beer. My bet is, the Taliban will arrive the day after U.S. troops complete the evacuation from the capital. And then the real killing will begin.

Biden owns this, personally. And every Gold Star family should remind him of that fact.

Girl Weeps As Taliban Approaches: ‘We Don’t Count Because We Were Born in Afghanistan. No One Cares About Us.’

On Friday, the courageous Iranian dissident Masih Alinejad, whom the Islamic Republic recently tried to kidnap in New York and take back to imprisonment, torture, and death in Tehran, posted a video on Twitter of a young Afghan woman. As the tears fall down her face, the woman says:

“We don’t count because we were born in Afghanistan. I cannot help crying. I have to wipe my tears to be able to film this video. No one cares about us. We’ll die slowly in history. Isn’t it funny?”

No, it’s as tragic as this woman feels it to be, and the reason why it is happening gets right to the heart of why the American mission in Afghanistan failed so completely, and left young women such as the one in this video without anyone to defend them from the Taliban.

The woman in the video is not wearing a hijab, which gives the immediate impression that she is not an observant, Sharia-adherent Muslim. Political and military realities that are rapidly changing now may have obscured the fact for her, but this woman is not being abandoned now. She was abandoned years ago, in one of the foremost mistakes of our two-decade-long series of mistakes in Afghanistan.

In our early years in Afghanistan, once the Taliban was toppled, we set about nation-building, initially with an eye toward establishing a Western-style constitutional republic in Afghanistan. But State Department foreign policy experts drastically underestimated the Afghan people’s attachment to Islamic law (Sharia), and disastrously discounted Sharia’s political aspects in the naïve belief, fueled by Islamic apologists in the U.S., that Islam was a religion of peace that was perfectly compatible with Western secular models of governance.

The opposition to Sharia quickly gave way to their desire to be culturally sensitive. The Melbourne Forum on Constitution Building noted in 2018 that “most of the external actors, including the United States, American church groups and the United Nations, initially attempted to marginalise the role of Islam and Sharia in favor of liberal rights and freedoms. However, understanding that Islam and Sharia are entrenched parts of Afghan constitutional culture, foreign advisers such as Yash Ghai and Barnett Rubin, who were directly involved in the drafting process convinced external assistance providers to stand aside and leave Afghans to make choices on these sensitive constitutional questions.”

And so the Afghan Constitution that Afghanistan’s then-President Hamid Karzai formally ratified on January 26, 2004, begins “in the name of Allah, the Most Beneficient, the Most Merciful” and is written in the name of “We the people of Afghanistan, believing firmly in Almighty God, relying on His divine will and adhering to the Holy religion of Islam.” The Constitution notes its appreciation for the “jihad and just resistance of all the peoples of Afghanistan.” It declares that “Afghanistan shall be an Islamic Republic, independent, unitary and indivisible state,” and that “the sacred religion of Islam is the religion of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.” The significance of this is spelled out explicitly: “No law shall contravene the tenets and provisions of the holy religion of Islam in Afghanistan.”

Disney Continues to Prioritize Left-Wing Culture, Anti-Free Speech Legislation

Lifelong family-oriented supporters of the Walt Disney Company will be sad to learn that Disney is no ally to traditional social values.  2ndVote currently scores the Walt Disney Company at a measly 1.67 — and we’re not optimistic about that score improving in light of the company’s brainwashing of little children with an episode of their famed Muppet Babies television show promoting gender confusion.

There are several problems with Disney’s decision. First, biologically, there are just two sexes. Second, Disney should focus on wholesome entertainment, not overtly political social activism. Third, Disney has actively engaged on the issue of gender identity in a way which attempted to restrict the rights of millions of Americans.

We’ve been tracking Disney’s actions against traditional American values for years. In 2016, the company stood against North Carolina bill HB2, claiming that allowing business owners to choose their own bathroom policies was bigotry. Disney canceled events, costing local business owners a lot of money. More recently, Disney endorsed the Equality Act – a bill that has nothing to do with equality, and everything to do with pushing a very specific cultural agenda. Religious organizations would be under threat because of the Equality Act – a clear violation of Basic Freedoms found in the First Amendment.

When Disney puts its financial resources behind movements that seek to compel anti-American values, Americans suffer.  These movements are potentially harmful to everything from freedom of speech to religious liberty.  The next time you’re looking to enjoy some family-style entertainment, consider an alternative to Disney which won’t play against your traditional values.

The trick to the entertainment industry is that Hollywood Studios (owned by Disney), Universal Pictures (1.00), Netflix (2.29), and other top entities also rank poorly on the 2ndVote scale. They simply don’t support America’s constitutional and human freedoms of religion, speech, firearms, etc. Therefore, we encourage you to support regional theme parks like Kentucky Kingdom (3.00) and Six Flags (3.00) instead. As for digital entertainment, organizations like PureFlix (3.73) have the kind of wholesome, fun entertainment that Disney used to prioritize. We urge you to spend your hard-earned money with those organizations, and contact Disney and urge them to return to entertainment, not left-wing politics.

There is zero effort to stop them. Officials daily hector Americans to get vaccinated and tested for COVID. But they are mute about illegal entrants, some of them infected with the virus.

Joe Biden has also conceded that his hold on housing evictions deliberately defied a Supreme Court ruling. He added that he probably did not have the legal authority to ignore the court, but did not really care.

As in the case of demolishing immigration law, the president seems either unaware or proud that he is insidiously dismantling the Constitution.

America has also never quite seen such overt and multifaceted efforts to undermine the foundations of free-market capitalism.

In a rebounding economy amid record debt, the government is still sending workers unemployment benefits that are more remunerative than the paychecks they would earn if employed.

Such insanity means not only that labor-short employers cannot provide goods and services to American consumers. The new ethos also institutionalizes the pernicious idea that it is smarter to stay home and idle than to get a job and be productive.

Biden is also considering further extending exemptions for the repayment of $1.7 trillion in student loans. That amnesty will only further mainstream this growing notion that borrowing money entails no legal or moral obligation to pay it back.

All this multifaceted chaos is not just faculty lounge stuff. We are beginning to see the collective craziness filter down to disruptions in our everyday lives.

Airliners cannot take off due to fuel shortages. Automobiles, houses, gas, and lumber are in short supply.

Consumers can’t get their roofs fixed or their houses painted or the trees trimmed as employers plead to their idle government-subsidized employees to come back to work.

No one knows whether our laws even still exist—or at least exist haphazardly depending on who breaks them.

Thieves steal with brazen impunity. The police predicate arresting suspects on criteria that have nothing to do with breaking the law.

Scared Americans have lost faith in the FBI, the CIA, the Pentagon, the CDC, and most of the federal bureaucracies that are as politicized as they are increasingly incompetent.

What started out as elite woke nonsense now warps everyone’s daily life. If we don’t wake up from wokeness, we will continue on our sure trajectory to self-inflicted, systemic paralysis—followed by civilizational collapse.

Majority of registered Democratic voters now prefer socialism to capitalism, Fox News poll finds

This is a drastic shift from last year

A new Fox News poll showed that more Democrats favor socialism over capitalism, in a sharp reversal from just a year and a half ago.

The poll, taken between Aug. 7-10, showed that 59% of registered Democratic voters who participated had a positive view of socialism, compared to just 49% who felt that way about capitalism.

In February 2020, when the question was last asked, 50% of Democrats who participated said they had a favorable view of capitalism, with just 40% saying the same about socialism.

The poll showed that 44% of Democrats had an unfavorable view of capitalism, and 31% had a negative view of socialism.

Of the Republicans polled, 67% viewed capitalism favorably, and 8% had a favorable view of socialism.

The trend toward socialism among Democrats comes at a time when members of Congress such as self-described democratic socialists Rep. Alexandria-Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., have had a growing influence on Democratic politics. Sanders, as chair of the Senate Budget Committee, has been leading a charge to pass a $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill that he says is aimed at addressing wealth inequality.

That bill would provide for government-funded programs such as tuition-free pre-K and community college, as well as the expansion of Medicare, which Sanders ultimately would like to be changed to a universal socialized health care system.

This is on top of the bipartisan $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill that the Senate recently passed. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., has said even that is a “gateway to socialism” and a “down payment on the Green New Deal.”

Biden Admin Blaming Trump for Making Them Leave Afghanistan

Joe Biden only knows three words, “It’s Trump’s fault!”

The rest is an incoherent word salad that only psychiatrists, highly trained medical doctors, and cryptologists can make any sense of.

The Obama administration blamed all its messes on George W. Bush. Biden is just as determined to blame everything on Trump. But it’s really pathetic that Biden was using Afghanistan as his ‘Mission Accomplished’ victory lap, and is now blaming President Trump for making him pull out the troops.

President Joe Biden had no “viable option” other than to withdraw U.S. forces from Afghanistan, according to a senior State Department official who suggested that former President Donald Trump’s team tied their hands with a flawed agreement with the Taliban.

“It was preordained,” State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters while defending the withdrawal. “It’s a deal that this administration probably would not have made, certainly not in all the detail. But it’s the deal that we inherited.”

Price has no original ideas. This is the same false argument Obama’s people were making for why he had to pull out of Iraq.

Obama, like Biden, turned a fake pullout from Iraq into a victory lap, before then trying to blame the Bush administration for forcing him to pull out of Iraq as the ISIS jayvee team began to roll over the country.

The Taliban would be taking over Afghanistan no matter what the deal was. Biden promised all along to pull out of Afghanistan. So why complain now? Oh right, because the collapse is happening much faster than Milley told Biden it would and so now there’s panic in needle park.

“The idea that the United States could have maintained a significant military presence in Afghanistan … that was just not tenable,” Price maintained. “It was not in the cards, because according to that agreement that was negotiated by the United States, not this administration, but the previous one, if our forces remain there in great numbers after May 1, they could have become the targets of violence.”

American forces would have remained the targets of violence either way. Nor did Biden want to maintain a military presence. Now Biden’s toadies are acting like they wanted to stay, but Trump made them leave?

The rest is an even bigger trainwreck of gaslighting and dumb lies.

Price demurred repeatedly when asked if the Taliban is keeping their end of the bargain — “levels of violence are too high,” he repeated throughout the briefing — and argued that the Taliban’s decision not to attack U.S. forces at least vindicates their efforts to broker a deal.

“I think there’s also a misconception that in order for negotiations, peace negotiations, to take place, there is the requirement that there be peace on the ground,” Price said. “In fact, if you look back through history, very rarely have peace negotiations taken place when peace is present on the ground. What we’re seeing is levels of violence that are of grave concern. They’re certainly not within the spirit of the U.S.-Taliban agreement. But we know that diplomacy is the only way that we are ever going to achieve a durable solution.”

Diplomacy isn’t going to work with Islamic terrorists.

The Obama admin amply proved that. The Taliban have every reason to negotiate, to allow Biden to save face, and no reason to negotiate in good faith, because both sides understand that they’re going to win and that Biden won’t do anything to stop them.

All that’s left is figuring out who to blame when the Taliban are beheading women who took off their burkas in Kabul.

And the Biden admin, its media and its cronies are going to blame President Trump. They’re going to wave away the withdrawal that a few weeks ago they had been triumphantly celebrating, and blame it on the previous administration.

The Afghanistan withdrawal was a huge Biden success and a Trump failure, they will insist.

The Biden moratorium that bans evictions by landlords for non payment of rent or other reasons, which is now in effect until October 3rd this year, replaced the previous series of moratoriums that should have ended July 31st, was put in place by the ‘The Centers for Disease Control.’ or the CDC.

The hugely corrupt and immoral Federal Government supposedly has a federal government’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program designed for landlords but guess what? The application must be instigated by the tenant!! If the tenant is actually employed and just refusing to pay rent, they would never instigate the relief program for the landlord as they could be found to be fraudulently making the claim.

Unpaid rent is piling up and landlords and property managers cannot hold it together too much longer. Well – those that still have properties owned or managed!

Up to $56Bn is owed. That is Billion – with a B. The average of rent owed is now at $3,700 per renter. More than 11,000,000 Americans report to being well behind in rent. Approximately another 6,000,000+ are also understood to be delinquent. There are cases where tenants have been employed all this time, receiving a full pay check, but refuse to pay rent knowing they cannot be evicted. Yet they still demand all their renters rights.

I want to ask you all a question. Who made the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s overreaching federal eviction moratorium a law? Since when do these corrupt federal agencies make laws? Are laws not laws unless passed in the House?

I am going to tell you why this moratorium keeps being extended.

The Great Reset.

The Great Reset is the world socialists see for America. The one they have been working towards for the past 60+ years. Where nobody owns anything like property. Your homes will be owned by the government and their big banks and every part of your lives will be controlled by the same big government. Your health care. Your income. Your pension. Your rent. The type of accommodation you live in. Your education. Your travel. Your occupation. Your religion. Your diet.

Thousands of small landlords have been left with what had been income earning or security for their financial futures and which have now become millstones around their necks. Their properties are underwater to the banks. They are losing their properties daily. Many have spent thousands on legal fees which have got them nowhere.

Who the hell is the federal government, let alone the CDC, to tell landlords they cannot evict non payers while expected to repair and maintain those same properties to the tenants satisfaction?

Who the hell is the federal, state, city or local authorities to tell you to close your business or tell you to lockdown or stop free movement and travel?

Who the hell is the federal government to tell you when you can or cannot worship?

This is the Fundamental Changing of America that was put in place by treasonous, testosterone challenged girly boy Barrack Hussein Obama and is now being completed like it is on steroids.

Guess what else?

Americans in general do not seem to have a problem about any of this. They refuse to stand up and defend our Constitutional Republic. They appear to be just lethargic armchair warriors who are becoming more and more sheep like.

America. What is it going to take before we say enough is enough? How many more liberties and freedoms must we lose? How much of the constitution will we allow to be eradicated? How much treason and corruption will we allow our so called elected officials to get away with? How far to the left will be enough?

On Monday, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador revealed that he spoke with Vice President Kamala Harris about “the complete opening” of the roughly 2,000 mile border between the United States and Mexico, which has been closed to non-essential travel since March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Obrador tweeted, “We spoke again with Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States. In good terms, we dealt with the immigration issue, the complete opening of the northern border to reactivate our economies and continue with mutual cooperation to face the pandemic.”

“The White House said the two leaders discussed ongoing bilateral cooperation to address ‘irregular migration’ to the shared U.S.-Mexican border, and agreed to focus on bolstering Central American economies through investment in agriculture and climate resilience,” Reuters reported, adding, “The U.S. vice president also told Lopez Obrador that Washington was committed to sending additional doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Mexico, on top of the 4 million doses already delivered, the White House said.”

Marine Corps General David H. Berger on Monday rebuked Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s edict requiring all Armed Forces personnel to submit to Covid-19 vaccinations under threat of court martial or discharge, said a source in Gen. Berger’s office who overheard a heated conversation between them.

Gen. Berger telephoned the defense secretary minutes after he said in a press conference that the Covid-19 vaccination is needed to maintain military readiness and that he would enforce the mandatary vaccination policy regardless of FDA approval status.

“There will be no mandatory vaccinations for my Marines,” Gen. Berger said.

In a transcript of the call reviewed by Real Raw News, Gen. Berger lambasted Austin and branded him a traitor.

“Under no circumstances will Marines be compelled to take a potentially hazardous vaccination that the FDA won’t even fully endorse,” Gen. Berger told Austin. “You are a coward and a traitor, manipulated by people pushing bad policy on the men and women who provide security to our nation. Neither you nor your puppet president has authority to enforce such a policy.”

Austin argued that mandatory vaccinations have always been a requirement for soldiers enlisting into the Armed Forces, and they, as property of the U.S. government, have no right to decide whether to take the Covid-19 jab. The federal government and President Biden would decide for them, Austin said.

“They’re incapable of making informed decisions. So we, their leaders, make the big decisions they cannot,” Austin said. “Biden and Harris are in charge, not individual soldiers.”

Then Austin got political: “If conservatives and evangelicals see our fighting forces getting vaccinated, they’ll be more likely to get vaccinated themselves,” Austin said.

Gen. Berger said it was unfair to compare established vaccinations with a product that was rushed to market with little concern for side effects. He called the CDC and Dr. Fauci corrupt, and he asked Austin why the puppet administration hid from the public an NIH report linking the vaccination to thousands of fatalities.

“If someone dies, you say it was Covid-19. There’s a refusal to admit the vaccination carries side effects that can include death in certain individuals.”

“I’m not a physician. I’m the Secretary of Defense for Joseph R. Biden, and I follow orders,” Austin retorted.

“In case you haven’t heard, Biden’s not in charge of the military, and neither are you. You can sell whatever lies you want to the media. You sold your soul, Lloyd, and I hope you can live with yourself,” Gen. Berger said.

Gen. Berger said he had the support of other Joint Chiefs of Staff and would implore them to ignore unlawful orders coming from the illegitimate administration.

“If a soldier wants the vaccination, fine. If not, he’s not rolling up his sleeve. If you try to forcibly vaccinate even one of my Marines, you better come armed,” Gen. Berger said, and hung up the phone.

In a statement Monday afternoon, Biden said he strongly supports Austin’s message and that he is “eager to see” the Covid-19 vaccination added to the battery of vaccinations soldiers receive upon joining the military.

While helming Fox’s “Primetime” last week, Federalist Publisher Ben Domenech developed in his nightly monologues the theme of Americans becoming, not woke, but “Wide Awake.”

The “Wide Awake” label comes from another fraught period in American history. It was the name of a highly effective grassroots political movement in the pre-Civil War era.

“There were hundreds of thousands of [Wide Awakes] in 1860, and their organizations stretched from Maine to California,” Domenech explained last Monday. “They were a militaristic fraternity dedicated to human liberty. They had banners and marches and baseball teams. They carried oil lamps, wore capes, and wielded bats, and they stumped for a rising Republican rail-splitter named Abraham Lincoln.”

Throughout the week, Domenech called on Americans to consider this historical example to inform our actions today, in another era of despair, mob rule, political corruption, and a brutal coalition of elites and lowlifes against the aspiring middle class. Amid lockdowns, rising inflation, state-sponsored racism, doubt about the security of elections, the fecklessness of politicians, and the leftist control of everything right down to whether we can show our faces, many Americans feel hopeless and in rout.

This, Domenech argued, is the time not to slide into the sleep of despair, but to stomp our feet on the sleep-inducing fumes and shake ourselves awake for action: “The American crisis can be the opportunity for American renewal. That’s why it’s worth doing. It’s only by doing hard things and overcoming them that we find genuine happiness.”

“What does it mean to be wide awake? What are you prepared to do if you are?” Domenech asked in his Friday conclusion to the week’s series.

I’m not quoting Ben because he’s my boss, but because he’s 100 percent right, and he has more heart than I do most days, and that’s right, too. To follow up on this theme, I and several Federalist staff have compiled the following idea list of ways to develop your capacity for self-governance. Many people are feeling despair right now, and the truth is that things are likely to get worse before they get better. But for them to ever have a chance of getting better, we have to be willing to suffer today.

But not suffer pointlessly. Suffer with a purpose. Suffer for the cause of making a better future possible for our children and grandchildren. Suffer to preserve and expand our right to freely worship our God and live in fidelity to his commands. Suffer for the nobility of living a life of the deep meaning that can only come from sacrifice rather than the pointless life of constant self-gratification.

Stop talking, and start doing. Create the culture you want to see. Vote not only at election time, but with every day of your life, and every action you take. Self-government starts at home, with you, and now. Here are some places to start, or to start brainstorming more.

1. Run for office.

2. Recruit someone excellent to run for office, and a group of friends to help that person win.

3. Primary a woke or sleeping incumbent.

4. “Start a neighborhood group — present yourself under an umbrella that welcomes all other responsible members of your community who are sick and tired of being sick and tired, and who are willing to stand up.” (quote from Ben’s monologue)

5. Cook some or some more of your own meals.

6. Grow some of your own food.

7. Shop at your local farmer’s market, or participate in community-supported agriculture.

8. Shop local for other stuff, too.

9. Cut cable and send the cable payment to something useful, like your local church or a fund to help kids escape public schools.

10. Work out. If you already work out, up your game. If working out is intimidating, just start going for walks. See where it leads, and feel good about doing more than you used to.

11. Play board games with your kids instead of letting them watch some screen.

12. Organize a mass protest against school masking.

13. Start a local online news blog that uses open-records requests to obtain curriculum from the local schools and post screenshots and basic summaries of what you find.

14. Don’t send your kids to schools that medically and socially abuse them. Have education standards that are far above “free babysitting.”

15. Volunteer to coach local kids’ sports.

16. Go to church. Every week.

17. Go to church midweek, too.

18. Go to your church’s Sunday School or education hour before or after the service.

19. Pick up and drive an elderly, handicapped, or otherwise needy person to church on your way.

20. Stop shopping on Amazon.

21. Volunteer through your church.

22. Volunteer at your child’s school.

23. Notice that a neighbor struggles with something, like childcare or lawn care, or loneliness. Do something to help.

24. Invite people over to your house for dinner. If dinner is too intimidating, do drinks or dessert or popcorn.

25. Get to know your neighbors and your neighborhood.

26. Cultivate the art of hospitality, and use it as a tool to build community. Without thriving families and strong, close-knit communities, conservatives will never rescue or rebuild the republic.

27. Start or any kind of group that brings people together in other people’s living rooms regularly: a book club, a woodworking club, a volunteer group, a craft club, a playgroup for preschoolers and their parents — the possibilities are endless.

28. At Christmas, go caroling in your neighborhood (even if it shocks the neighbors).

29. Visit senior centers, and new neighbors, and anyone you think might be lonely; invite them to celebrate holidays with your family or church.

30. Try to buy less stuff made in China.

31. Watch local sports instead of pro sports. Better yet, participate.

32. Stop using social media. At the very least, use it as little as possible.

33. Move your savings and investments to pro-America institutions. If you can’t find any that are specifically pro-American, choose a small local bank or credit union. Or a pro-life one.

34. Pay down your debt. Try to go debt-free.

35. Move from a blue state or city to a red state or city.

36. Don’t pay for your kids’ school bundled into the mortgage; get a less-expensive house and use the savings to give your kids a private education.

37. Bring someone a loaf of bread you made. Or a loaf of bread you bought from a local bakery.

38. Rediscover an old hobby. Or try a new one. Acrylic paint is cheap.

39. Read your kids books.

40. Take a bike ride. Bring your kids.

41. If you don’t have a spouse, make specific plans for how you plan to try to find one.

42. If you don’t have kids, have some. If you’re not married, do that first.

43. Call a relative you haven’t talked to in a while.

44. Call a friend with a different political worldview, and make it a pleasant conversation.

45. Read a book.

46. Make a budget, and follow it.

47. Think seriously about apprenticeships and starting in an entry-level job for your teens instead of or before heading off to college. Colleges are COVID traps right now, and even pre-COVID the value they provided in exchange for the time and money invested in them was significantly diminishing. Businesses are starving for workers right now and entry-level positions for many eventually highly paying jobs are wide open, such as in the trades and in entrepreneurial positions in small businesses, such as mechanics, construction, bakeries, florist shops, lawn care, and more. Employers are very often paying people to acquire skills while they work in well-paid, good-benefit fields like health care and construction, and they will take any halfway competent warm body right now.

48. Write a book. Publishing and libraries are a wasteland right now. People need better options.

49. Create a documentary.

50. Make jokes. Share them.

51. Make beautiful art, and bring it to art shows. Spread beauty.

52. Paint a public mural on a building visible to others that doesn’t look like those hideous graffiti “art” cities are putting up everywhere. Make it utterly gorgeous. Put those anti-beauty nihilists to shame.

53. Get your friends who can play or sing beautiful, classic, and fun music together and serenade passers-by in a local park.

54. Become a foster family. Private foster agencies are an especially good option.

55. Adopt a child.

56. Bring your local police station some home-baked goods or offer to buy officers on duty a nice big round of hot coffee from a local shop.

57. Call your local police station and tell them you support them and thank them for protecting you.

58. When your neighbors are being rude, walk over and nicely talk to them about it instead of calling the cops on them.

59. Go to a city council meeting.

60. Smile at people while you’re not wearing a mask.

61. Whistle or sing while not wearing a mask.

62. Learn some cheerful songs. Sing them.

63. Support a Christian school. Or start one.

64. Homeschool or privately tutor the kids of someone who can’t.

65. Start a public charter school.

66. Ask your school board and school administration to use the Hillsdale 1776 Curriculum for civics and American government.

67. Read the Constitution.

68. Read The Federalist Papers.

69. Subscribe to the Claremont Review, and read it. Leave your finished copies on the table in your local library.

70. Move your investments out of institutions and companies that hate America.

71. Ask your library to purchase conservative books they don’t have in stock.

72. Complain to your library about them buying child mutilation books.

73. When one of your favorite video people uses Rumble, watch your videos there instead of on YouTube.

74. Contribute to Alliance Defending Freedom and First Liberty like your religious liberty depends on it.

75. Take a free online Hillsdale College course. Recruit friends to take the course with you and host discussions of it at your house, church, library, or another community center.

76. Donate your legal, financial, fundraising, maintenance, or other professional skills to a local church, Christian school, family, or another nonprofit charitable organization.

77. Start a men’s club of any manly variety — cigar smoking, shooting, running, drinking, self-improvement, business coaching, etc.

78. Mentor someone personally or professionally.

79. If you’re a woman, start dressing more femininely. Try a few dresses on, and buy one.

80. Prudently allocate any stimulus checks you’ve received.

81. Stop using Google.

82. Intentionally improve your homemaking and home management skills.

83. Keep at least a few weeks of basic home supplies, including food, in stock at your home.

84. Stock at least some basic emergency preparedness supplies (more ideas here).

85. Support a Wide Awake writer on Substack, Patreon, or some other subscription or membership option.

Our country was built on small communities formed in the church, the square, the schoolhouse, and the tavern. From those meeting houses, we resisted first the petty tyrants on our docks and in the royal governors’ mansions, then took on the greatest army in the world.

We did that with what John Adams estimated was only one-third of our countrymen in full support, one-third fully against, and as many preferring to stay on the sidelines. Of that one-third in support, less than 10 percent fought in the Continental Army. We don’t need a majority. Revolutions never have. We need a minority of Wide Awakes to coalesce, to see, judge, and act.

Be a part of that band of small-time heroes, in whatever way you can. Keep your faith up. None of us truly knows the future. We can only act as nobly as we can in the time we have.

In closing, I want to quote more fully from the C.S. Lewis fantasy novel I referenced at the beginning of this article. The protagonists are trapped in a deep, dark underground, under the spell of a wicked enchantress telling them their memories of a better life in the country of Narnia aboveground are all dreams and lies.

The little band is saved by an unlikely fellow, the dour Puddleglum. He gives the following speech to the witch before stomping his bare foot right onto the fire to put out the enchanted incense it’s burning, lulling his friends into a sleep that will mean their deaths.

“Suppose this black pit of a kingdom of yours is the only world. Well, it strikes me as a pretty poor one,” Puddleglum tells the witch. “And that’s a funny thing, when you come to think of it. We’re just babies making up a game, if you’re right. But four babies playing a game can make a play-world which licks your real world hollow. That’s why I’m going to stand by the play world. I’m on Aslan’s side even if there isn’t any Aslan to lead it. I’m going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn’t any Narnia.”

Suppose Joe Biden’s dark, glum America is the only future left. Well, I’m still going to live as much like an American as I can for as long as I can. Join me.
