Florida job growth outpaces national rate six-fold

Florida’s job growth outpaced the national metric six-fold in November, gaining 51,000 new jobs while the nation as a whole accrued 210,000, according to a recent economic analysis.

The state’s labor force increased by 6.1% over 2021 compared to the national labor force increase of 0.9% over the same time frame. Florida added 470,000 private sector jobs over the year, increasing by 6.4 percent and exceeding the national private sector job growth by 2.0 percentage points. Florida also added 470,000 private sector jobs over the year, increasing by 6.4% and exceeding the national private sector job growth by 2.0 percentage points.

“Our job growth rate is six times faster than the rest of the nation because we’ve worked hard to keep Florida open and protect the jobs of individual Floridians,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Because we have protected their livelihoods, Floridians are confident in finding work and operating their own businesses. We will continue to focus on our state’s foundation of freedom to ensure that Florida remains a leader in economic growth and Floridians are able to succeed.”

For the fifth consecutive year, Florida ranked 4th among all 50 states in the 2022 State Business Tax Climate Index that is published by the Tax Foundation, and ranks highest in all high population states, outpacing states like New York (48th) and California (49th).

Florida lost over 1,200,000 jobs from February to April 2020 due the COVID-19 pandemic and has since gained back 91.2 percent of lost jobs, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

Private-sector industries that gained the most jobs include leisure and hospitality (13.5 percent growth), professional and business services (6.7 percent growth), trade and transportation (4.9 percent growth), and education and health services (4 percent growth).

In November, Monroe County held the state’s lowest local unemployment clip at 2.2 percent, while Putnam County had the highest at 5.4 percent.

“Governor DeSantis continues to make strong investments and create policies that drive confidence in Floridians and businesses,” said Florida Department of Economic Opportunity Secretary Dane Eagle. “Ensuring the economic success and prosperity of our state and residents is our number one priority, and we stand with Governor DeSantis as he continues empowering Florida businesses and Floridians to create and find meaningful employment.”

Florida’s urban centers experienced considerable growth in over-the-year job gains, with the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford area experiencing a 7.7 percent growth, Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater showing 5.3 percent improvement, and Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall rising 6.2 percent.

CNN Host: Holding Elections Threatens Democracy

Elections are the key for the Democrat party of treason. Everything else — inflation, COVID, Afghanistan, migrant invasion, illegal immigration, crushing taxes, critical race theory, leftist supremacism, jihad, antisemitism, gas prices, onerous regulation, etc. etc. – pale in comparison. Without free and fair elections, game over.

Don’t take your eye off the ball. The Democrats will wage war to institute and enshrine election fraud.

This is the next big fight. Ask your congressperson what they are doing to ensure free and fair elections? What actions are they taking towards election reform?

CNN Host Makes Outrageous Claim That Holding Elections Threatens Democracy

A CNN host is concerned that letting Americans vote for a state-wide office threatens democracy, and is flogging Republicans for suggesting that the office be elected after it spent years ignoring George Soros’ attempt to control it.

Filling in Tuesday night for the recently fired Chris Cuomo on the abruptly renamed “CNN Prime Time,” guest host twice warned that Trump voters in his home state have launched a dark conspiracy to overturn elections by having a statewide officeholder elected by the people instead of appointed by the governor.

And despite his concern over Republicans running for the office of secretary of state, which oversees election laws in each respective state, CNN apparently never mentioned the most concerted effort to capture this office: George Soros’ “Secretary of State Project.”

Michael Smerconish brought the subject up during the now-abbreviated handoff with Don Lemon at 10 p.m., after Lemon said he questioned the integrity of people who support election integrity. “I’m not sure if that really matters if they want to believe [in voter fraud] or they actually do believe it,” he said.

“Well, they are taking action on it,” replied Smerconish. He said the fact that a sizable percentage of Republicans’ constituents harbor doubts about the 2020 election “gives them the power to go in a state like Pennsylvania and say, ‘You know that secretary of state position? Let’s make it an elected gig, instead of an appointed job.’”

Smerconish did not explain how holding more elections would thwart the democratic process. He had raised the topic earlier in the show with David Leonhardt of The New York Times. Leonhardt warned that Republicans are seeking ways “to make it easier … for them to overturn an election result after it happens.”

“For example, my home state, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, there’s a move afoot to make the Secretary of State, an elected official,” said Smerconish. “That’s what you’re talking about?”

“Yes,“ replied Leonhardt, although he immediately walked his statement back, noting “the mere fact of making the Secretary of State an elected position is not in itself threatening to democracy. There are many places where it is an elected position.”

Voters democratically elect the secretary of state in 35 states, including California, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

Leonhardt also said that limiting mail-in balloting is not a “radical” stance, and that assuring ballot integrity by passing voter ID laws is “a legitimate thing for the government to do.”

Despite the CNN host’s concern over the partisan leanings of state election officials, the network seems to have dedicated no coverage whatever to George Soros’ campaign to elect Democrat-friendly candidates as secretary of state in swing states.

After the narrow 2000 and 2004 presidential elections, a coalition of left-wing donors known as the Democracy Alliance, including George Soros, began a 527 group called the Secretary of State Project (or SoS Project) aimed at electing progressives as the top election officials in states the Republican candidate won by less than 120,000 votes.

“Democrats have built an administrative firewall designed to protect their electoral interests in five of the most important battleground states,” reported Politico in a story about the SoS Project just before the 2008 election. “The bulwark consists of control of secretary of state offices in five key states — Iowa, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico and Ohio.”

“With a Democrat now in charge of the offices, which oversee and administer their state’s elections, the party is better positioned than in the previous elections to advance traditional Democratic interests … rather than Republican priorities such as stamping out voter fraud,” Politico noted.

Despite the group’s financial might and stated intention of controlling election law in swing states for partisan advantage, CNN appears not to have covered the Secretary of State Project a single time.

A comprehensive search of the network’s transcripts, and a Google search of its website, for stories on the topic yielded no results.

More Americans have now died from the coronavirus under the leadership of Democrat President Joe Biden than died under former President Donald Trump, according to CDC data published late this week.

The development comes as Biden’s approval rating continues to remain low as more and more Americans are disapproving of his handling of the pandemic than at any other point during his first year in office. The number of Americans who say that Biden is doing a “bad job” in responding to the pandemic has doubled from 23% during Biden’s first month in office to 46% as of last month.

The CDC reported back in January that on January 20, 2021, at 1:16PM, there were 400,306 deaths recorded in the U.S. from the coronavirus. Biden officially became president of the United States at noon on that day.

Since then, the number of people who have died from coronavirus under Biden’s watch is now greater than 400,306.

According to the most recent CDC data published at the time this report was published, 800,939 Americans have died from the coronavirus, which means that at least 400,633 Americans have died under Biden’s leadership. Other entities like The New York Times, however, currently report the U.S. has 803,964 deaths from the coronavirus, a number that continues to climb daily with no end in sight.

Biden’s disastrous handling of the coronavirus pandemic is even worse when considering the fact that he had highly effective vaccines at his disposal from his very first day in office to get the pandemic under control.

Biden repeatedly promised while on the campaign trail that he was going to “shut down the virus,” and while its true that new variants have emerged, the fact remains that he has not “shut down the virus” and more Americans have now died under his leadership than under Trump.

When asked at the start of the month about what happened to his plan to “shut down the virus,” Biden smirked and walked away.

When confronted this week about his “responsibility” for the Americans that have died under his watch, Biden again smirked, threw his hand up at the reporter and walked away.

Biden claimed during the 2020 campaign that Trump was essentially responsible for every American that died during the pandemic, a claim that was quickly debunked by mainstream fact-checkers.

“If the president had done his job, had done his job from the beginning, all the people would still be alive,” Biden falsely claimed. “All the people—I’m not making this up. Just look at the data. Look at the data.”

How much are migrants trying to enter the United States illegally willing to pay?

An alleged border smuggler gave Fox News an idea of just how much the risky operation is worth. The Reynosa, Mexico, man revealed a few quotes through a translator.

“If you want to go to Houston … it depends on if you can walk or take a trailer for a vehicle. Trailer is between $5,000 and $7,000 for a person,” he told Fox News’ Griff Jenkins after estimating the lower cost of getting just over the border — up to $1,500 per person. “Trailer is much better and more secure because it’s a long way to walk.”

It can take around eight hours per walk if someone opts to walk over three days, so the trailer is the safer option, he added.

The smuggling business is lucrative, he said.

“We make a lot of money. I don’t understand how people sell their houses and everything to get to the American Dream,” he continued. “I do it mostly to help people, but yes, we earn a lot of money.”

Mexican drug cartels contribute to the smuggling business and are even an integral component, he said.

“The cartels ask us for money, and they give us a code, and they take care of us, and that’s how we take care of people here,” he added. “Actually, Ramos is very safe because we work with cartels and nothing happens to people.”

He even said cartels “take care” of the migrants as they make their way across the southern border.

“The cartels work like a guide that goes on the way with the migrants and I keep an eye that the police isn’t around [sic], and in case there’s danger, we return and don’t let anything happen to the immigrating people,” he said.

He estimated that on the high end, “some people spend even $15,000 to $20,000 to get into the United States.”

The smuggling business will not stop any time soon, he said, and those on the southern side of the Rio Grande have certain advantages.

“The State of Texas has taken comprehensive action to secure our southern border and address the border crisis while President Biden has sat idly by,” Abbott said. “In June, I promised Texans that we would step up in the federal government’s absence and build our own border wall. We have wasted no time in the six months since that promise was made, and I am proud to announce that construction of the Texas border wall is now underway.”

Thank you very much, Mike, for that very generous introduction. And yes, I do have to confess that I am a violent extremist, it’s official now. And the serious point about that, as ridiculous as it is, is that, of course, in all these years, in tens of thousands of posts at Jihad Watch, in thousands of articles, in 23 books, I have never called for, approved of, advocated any kind of violent action at all.

And when we had lawyers write to the Global Internet Forum for Counter-Terrorism that Mike mentioned, and say “This is absurd and you have to retract it,” they said, “Oh no, we’re not going to retract it because, look, if you go to Jihad Watch, it says “Muslims murder 6 people, Jihadi slit throats.” Well, yes, because we’re reporting on jihad activity. But of course, the suggestion was not that we are condoning this violence, but just that to report on it is violence itself because they said it dehumanizes Muslims.
Now I think, well, if that’s true, then here again, I’m not the one doing the dehumanizing; the jihadis are. But their idea is that to speak about these things will lead to right-wing violence because it’s an increasingly common theme on the left that when conservatives say something that dissents from the leftist narrative, that’s violence; conservative words equal violence. Meanwhile, genuine violence from groups on the left like Antifa and Black Lives Matter. that’s not violence; that’s patriotic agitation by the spiritual children of those who stormed the Normandy beaches, and this is seriously what is said about Antifa.

And so obviously, the agenda here is very clear. The idea ultimately is to stigmatize, marginalize, silence and criminalize, any speech that dissents from their agenda. And make no mistake, it’s not going to end with me. If they can call me a violent extremist, you’ll be a violent extremist next, until ultimately, the only voices that can be heard in the public square are those on the left. Now, what’s ironic about all this is that it has unfolded at a time when I have been increasingly thinking, well, really I’ve been barking up the wrong tree for 25 years now because, well, I’ll tell you a story.

People tease me sometimes because I don’t generally tend to watch movies that were made after 1948, but I saw a new movie recently. It’s called The Godfather; it’s very good, I recommend it. And in it, if you’ve seen it — I don’t know if you’ve caught it yet because it’s only been out 50-some years. If you’ve seen it, you know that there’s a time when the godfather, Don Corleone, is shot, and then later on, he has a meeting of all the heads of the mob families. And then as they’re leaving this meeting, he’s talking with the people that he’s with about who had him shot.

And one of them says, “It’s Tattaglia,” who’s one of the rival mob bosses, and he says, “Tattaglia is a pimp. He never could have out-fought Santino. It was Barzini all along.” And I thought it was Barzini all along, that’s the story of my life. I have been, for 25 years, so many years now, alerting about the jihad threat. And now it turns out that the left and the enemies within are a far greater and more imminent threat. And so I feel like I’ve been fighting Tattaglia and it was Barzini all along.
But actually, it all goes together and it has actually long been known that the jihadis never would have been able to advance as far as they have if it weren’t for the help and cooperation they received from the left in the United States and in Western Europe. And this is no accident. The left, as you know, is embarked now, and it’s fully clear, on a sinister totalitarian agenda. And there is no mistake about that.

When Merrick Garland, the Attorney General of the United States, sets the FBI onto school board meetings because the school boards are supposedly being threatened, when actually, there’s nary a single threat that has been uttered against the school boards, it’s just that people have dissent it from the critical race theory agenda and the [trans] and all that business agenda that they’re forcing into the public schools, and parents are angry and rightfully so. They go into the school board meetings and they’re angry and now they’re domestic terrorists.
And it’s the same thing with the January 6 business. We’ve seen the videos now, they opened the doors. The Capitol Police opened the doors of the Capitol building. They invited in these people, they’re walking around taking pictures and now they are domestic terrorists. And they’ve been in solitary confinement for months. It’s a national scandal, but it’s very clear what the agenda is. They want to ultimately make it a criminal offense to support the former president and to oppose the agenda of the current regime. That’s what this is all about.

Now, imagine if you were, yourself, a globalist internationalist, socialist authoritarian, like the people who are running the country right now; and you are looking around at the world and you are thinking what we want to do is maximize the benefits for our own little circle of oligarchs and control the public discourse entirely and eliminate all dissent from the society. Now in the realm of religion, where can we find a religion that lends itself to authoritarianism, has no Democratic tradition and discourages questioning and dissent. Now what religion might that be?
And so it seems to me to be no accident. As the communists say, “It is no accident, comrade,” that all this has happened; that after 9/11 — 9/11 was the best thing that ever happened to the global jihad movement, because then the Islamic advocacy groups that were already well placed and influential in the United States and in Western Europe, they were able to put forward the narrative that Islamophobia was the big problem.

George W. Bush said it on September 17, 2001; 6 days after 9/11, he stood in a mosque in Washington, D.C. in front of Nihad Awad of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations and [Abdul Rahman al-Amoudi] of the American Muslim Council, who is now serving 23 years in prison for financing Al-Qaeda. And he said, “Islam is peace,” but he not only said “Islam is peace.” He also expatiated at length on the alleged fact that innocent Muslims were being victimized in the United States in that6 days after 9/11.
And he said, without any evidence whatsoever — and it turned out not to be true at all — that women wearing hijabs were being harassed and they were having their hijabs pulled off and that innocent people were being threatened. None of it was true, but the bulk of his address on that day was all about how we have to make sure to be nice to Muslims and to understand that they are essentially the real victims of what happened on 9/11.

And that has become American public policy, that Islamophobia is such a big problem that the irrational hatred and fear of innocent Muslims is such a massive problem that we have to make sure that Muslims are represented in government; we have to make sure that our counter-terror efforts do not shade over into Islamophobia, which means essentially we can’t have any counter-terror efforts because we can’t have any that address the ideological roots of the problem, because that offends Muslims, since it’s all embedded in the religion; and we can’t have any counter-terror efforts that actually confront these influential groups that are already embedded in power in the Washington power structure. So all this — all these years, we have been focused on fighting Islamophobia.
In 2011, as a matter of fact, the Obama administration eliminated all mention of Islam and jihad from counter-terror efforts. And he constructed a program called CVE, Countering Violent Extremism. Now, does that ring a bell, countering violent extremism? What did Mike start out talking about? Who are the violent extremists? Once you remove all mention of Islam and jihad from counter-terror, then you’ve got to find some violent extremists. And they’re not your friends from the Council on American-Islamic Relations and all those guys. So who are they? They’re us.

And so you have the global socialist internationalist authoritarian elites pushing the idea of Islam in the West because Islam — Muhammed, the prophet of Islam, is supposed to have said, “Obey your ruler even if he is an Ethiopian with a head like a raisin.” Yes, that’s a real quote. And the racial — racist aspects of it aside, the idea is that you just do whatever the ruler wants, even if it’s so extravagantly absurd as to have an Ethiopian as the ruler. And the Quran in Chapter 5, verse 101, says, don’t ask questions; asking questions has led some people to lose their faith. So you don’t ask, you just go along, you accept everything.

Now it doesn’t have to sound like the perfect kind of religion that if you are an authoritarian who wants to eliminate political dissent and criminalize it, it’s just the one you want to encourage. And what have they done in the United States? The construction of mosques? The Muslim population, they have skyrocketed in the United States since 2001. And any kind of questioning of the mass migration enterprise and any kind of scrutiny in terms of counter-terror efforts is stigmatized as Islamophobic. So you have it all working together perfectly. You have a massive increase of Muslims in the United States and of course, they want to destabilize and weaken American society, and ultimately, cause its downfall so that an authoritarian state can be instituted; and then they have a population of people who were taught to be docile and accept what the rulers want no matter what.

There was no trouble from the Muslims against the Soviet Union in all those Soviet republics, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, [Kurgistan], you never heard about them fighting against the Soviet Union. They had no trouble accepting the authoritarian leader ship. And one of those people who was born in Kazakhstan and was educated in Moscow, and who wrote her thesis on Karl Marx’s economic theory has been nominated by Joe Biden to be the Controller of the Currency, which is the position of regulating the banking system in the United States.
And this person, Saule Omarova, has — is on video saying that what they want to work toward is the elimination of private bank accounts; and all the private bank accounts will be closed and all the money will be controlled by the Fed. And then you will just get the money that they think that you are entitled to and no more. Well, that’s obviously how a Marxist system works. And she’s going to be Controller of the Currency, she’s been nominated. Given the state of the Republican party, she has a very good chance of being confirmed.

Meanwhile, there are the Afghan migrants, the refugees. We were told, we have to take care of these Afghan refugees who helped us. They were the interpreters and they helped out the U.S. military while we were in Afghanistan. Okay. So 124,000 Afghans are coming to the United States; they’re either here now, or they’re on their way, 124,000, and that’s just what they’ve admitted to. Now, let me tell you about them. 124,000 Afghans, right before we left Afghanistan, we abandoned the Bagram Air Base. The disaster that was the departure from Afghanistan could have been entirely avoided if we had kept the air base, and gathered all the people there that we needed to get out, while the military was still there in force and get them out and then get the military out. I’m not a military man, I can figure that out. It’s not rocket science.
But we abandoned Bagram Air Base and there was a prison there full of ISIS and Al-Qaeda guys. And so the Taliban came in not long after and they opened the gates of the prison. Not long after that, you had the long lines at the Kabul Airport of people trying to get out, get onto the American planes. Now, let me ask you, who do you think got on the American planes? Well, you will say, well, the interpreters and the people we knew. No, actually Alejandro Mayorkas, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, has admitted that most of the people who were interpreters and special immigrant visa applicants did not get on those planes. And meanwhile, there’s a big crush to get on the planes.

So imagine if you are ISIS or Al-Qaeda and you are ruthless and you are violent, and you are strong and you were trained as a terrorist, how hard do you think it’s going to be for you to get to the front of the line and get on one of those planes? And if you think that that couldn’t happen, consider this. Congressman Darrell Issa not long ago went over to Camp Al Udeid — the Al Udeid Air Base, excuse me — in Qatar because there is Camp [Sethlia] right near there where a lot of the refugees are being processed before they’re brought to the United States. And they wouldn’t let him in to the camp where the refugees are. So in the first place, you got to wonder what’s going on in there, that they don’t want him to see?

But secondly, in the course of his discussions with military officials at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, they told him that 12,000 Afghans had already been brought to the United States from that place, even though they had no ID whatsoever. And so Biden’s administration, they’re telling us, these people are all vetted, you don’t have to worry, they’ve all been vetted. And yet they don’t know who they are. They don’t have any ID. How are you going to vett somebody you don’t even know who it is. The idea is, is that they’re vetting them against known members, lists of known members, of jihad terror groups, but these people don’t have any ID. Of course, there was also an explosion of fake identification papers in Afghanistan toward the end. So we have no idea who these people are and then they’re being brought over here.
And then in the United States, they’ve been walking off the bases. At Fort McCoy in Wisconsin, there’s 700 Afghanis who’ve already left. They just walk off and the military officials say, well, we can’t do anything about that, it’s not illegal. We can’t hold them, they’re not prisoners. So they’ve just walked off, nobody knows where they are. They could be out front, probably not, but they could be anywhere. And it’s very likely that some of them are jihadis.

Now, do you think that Biden’s handlers are so abjectly stupid that they did not see this coming and let it happen? I think that’s possible, but I think it’s more likely that they wanted it to happen, that they’re not total idiots, but that this is all part of their agenda because what they want to do is destabilize American society. Jihad terror attacks have the tendency to do that because they terrorize the populous, and then the populous terrorized calls on the government to protect them. And the government will then say, sure, we will protect you, but you’re going to have to give up some of your civil liberties in order to gain that protection. And there we are back again at the leftist agenda.

And so they brought all these Afghan refugees over here. They’re giving them — the stories I see, it’s astonishing. If you keep up with this, it’s amazing. In Kansas City, they’re getting fully-furnished apartments; in Dallas, the fully-furnished apartments come with fully-stocked refrigerators. They’ve got it made. And yet some of these people, it’s very — it’s virtually certain are jihad terrorists. And you may say, well, not all those Afghans are Taliban. Right, some of them are ISIS.

The fact is you’re coming from a society that is a hotbed of jihad activity for many decades now. And you’re also, for that matter, coming from a society where women are inferiors, where women who are not veiled are considered whores, where beating disobedient women is completely taken for granted as acceptable. There have already been Afghan refugees arrested for child abuse, for child sexual abuse, for spousal abuse. What none of the news stories said though was a very unfortunate fact, and that is that probably, I would say virtually certainly, none of these guys who’ve been arrested had any idea they were doing anything wrong because what they’re doing is completely acceptable in Afghan culture and society and it’s all based on Islam.

Islam teaches — Chapter 33 verse 59 of the Quran — if you are a woman who — a woman should veil, so that she is not molested, which the implication then is, if you’re not veiled, you’re fair game. And this is how the Muslim migrants have been behaving in Europe for years now, and how these guys are behaving here. And you have Muhammed with his child bride and he’s the example for all human conduct. So the guy comes here and he sees an attractive child, he doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with this. This is what happens in Afghanistan. So there’s going to be tremendous cultural and societal disruption from these refugees as well.

And this is all, I would submit to you, part of the overall leftist plan to destabilize and weaken American society, so that they can achieve the full authoritarian agenda that they have in mind. And so I could — I should close now. Time has drawn to a close. I will stop here, but I can just say that the last two speakers told very ably, spoke about the need for all of us to become activists or to step up our action. At this point, it’s not too late to save the republic, but it’s all coming down to us. And we all have to act and not assume anybody else is going to do it. Thank you very much.

Beware of Free College Offered on a Sharp Knife

Sounds pretty cool today, but what happens when soft tyranny hardens?


Something for America’s new indoctrinated youth to keep in mind about Marxist Socialism is that the authorities keep files on each child from birth to death.  So, the free “education” they will be receiving is according to their obedience and unconditional loyalty to the regime at all times.  Some of their duty is to report what their parents and friends say in private that shows of political “deviation.”  No dissent is allowed and they punish the citizens who disagree.  Depending on this loyalty you can have access to a university or college after high school, but they cannot chose their career.

For example, if the regime needs teachers, that’s the ONLY option.  If they need doctors, engineers, architects, mechanics, or other professions, free education is in accordance with the needs of the regime ONLY.  After graduation, the regime sends them to places far away where they are obligated to serve for a numbers of years.  They cannot change jobs unless the regime decides to transfer them to another location. They cannot chose where they want to live; they live ONLY where the regime places them. Vacations are designated by the regime and awarded in accordance with the conduct of the employee at work.  Everything in life is in accordance with your conduct, because everything is political in Marxist Socialist regimes.

However, the children of the ruling elite have special schools separated from the regular citizens, plus other benefits not available to the rest of the population, like free healthcare which is very good for the ruling elite but lousy for the rest of the population.  So much for “equity,” equality” and “social justice”.  That’s a BIG LIE they use to hook people into Marxist Socialist doctrine.  They are masters of deception.

Food and clothing in reality are what the regime allows.  Like in Cuba, we were eating elbow macaroni for lunch and dinners for almost a year.  There was nothing else to eat.  The food was rationed as well as clothing and other items of personal use.  Toilet paper?  Forget about toilet paper!

I am not enumerating all the inconveniences I suffered in communist Cuba because it would take volumes.

So you, the new indoctrinated youth of America, are exchanging all your freedoms and ability to think for yourselves for a highly regulated and dictatorial existence without a future.

How CO2 Supply Chain Mayhem Almost Caused a Meat Shortage in Britain

In recent months, many of us have faced empty shelves, long lines, and frustrating delays as supply chains have seized up around the country, and indeed the world. Some have argued that the government should step in to fix these issues, blaming the problems on “corporate greed” and “the free market”. But while it may be tempting to blame private companies for our current woes and see the government as the savior, the reality is not that simple. Indeed, far from being the solution, government intervention in the market is arguably the primary cause of these problems in the first place.

A good case study for this issue is Great Britain. Back in September, the nation’s supply chain issues got so bad that they almost had major disruptions in their food supply. The UK government has been intervening in an attempt to fix the problems in the short run, but the situation is still extremely precarious.

So who is responsible for these issues? Well, let’s follow the supply chain link-by-link and see if it can lead us to the culprit.

The immediate problem that food producers are facing is a shortage of food-grade carbon dioxide (CO2). The meat industry is particularly affected by this shortage, since CO2 is used in many meat production processes. But aside from that, the gas also plays a key role in modified atmosphere packaging, which is used to prolong the shelf life of many food products. It’s also used in carbonated drinks (hence the name) like beer and soda, and in its solid form as dry ice it is used to keep fresh food cool during transportation.

Why is there a shortage of CO2? Well, most food-grade CO2 comes from fertilizer plants, because CO2 is a byproduct of the fertilizer manufacturing process. These plants, however, have been producing far less CO2 than normal. So to understand why there’s so little CO2, we need to investigate the fertilizer plants. This brings us to the next link in the chain.

Two of the biggest fertilizer plants in the UK are owned by a company called CF Industries. Together, they normally produce about 60 percent of the UK’s food-grade CO2. However, these plants were actually shut down for a large part of September, which drastically reduced the UK’s CO2 production.

The reason they were shut down is because natural gas, an essential part of the fertilizer process, has been very expensive in recent months. With the price of this key input so high, it was actually uneconomical for the plants to operate, so they decided to shut down temporarily in hopes of restarting their operations once the price of natural gas came back down. But why is natural gas suddenly so expensive? This brings us to the third link in the chain.

First, to say that natural gas prices are high in Britain is really quite the understatement. According to Industry group Oil & Gas UK, wholesale prices for gas in September were up 250 percent since January, and had increased 70 percent since August. As one UK energy CEO remarked, this is “the most extreme energy market in decades.”

So what’s causing the high prices? A number of factors. High global demand has played a role, especially since roughly 60 percent of the UK’s natural gas supply is imported. Lower solar and wind output have also been factors, as well as outages at some nuclear stations. The cold winter in 2020 also resulted in depleted stocks (since people use natural gas to heat their homes), and several gas platforms in the North Sea have closed to perform maintenance that was paused because of the COVID-19 lockdowns.

But one of the biggest sources of price volatility is the dearth of natural gas storage facilities in the UK.

“The UK currently has very modest amounts of storage, less than 6% of annual demand.” writes Michael Bradshaw, a Professor of Global Energy at the University of Warwick. “In Germany, France, and Italy, storage covers about 20% of annual demand,” he continues for context. Another report noted that the UK has enough storage to last for about 7 days, whereas Germany and France have roughly 90 days of storage.

While storage is far from the only factor affecting natural gas prices, it certainly plays a significant role. But why does Britain have so little storage capacity? This brings us to the final link in the chain.

One of the reasons for Britain’s low storage capacity is that a storage facility called Rough, which used to provide a significant percentage of the UKs natural gas storage, was decommissioned in 2017 as a result of age-related deterioration.

Industry leaders were concerned about the resulting lack of storage at the time, and have been warning about the issue ever since.

“Rough makes up an impressive 70% of the UK’s storage working gas volume,” Timera Energy noted back in 2017, when permanent closure was still being deliberated. “This can be contrasted with Rough’s contribution to the UK’s daily deliverability, at around 25%. And it is the deliverability that the UK market will miss most.”

They go on to explicitly discuss the likely impact of the closure on the price of natural gas. “The loss of deliverability should boost spot price volatility as it reduces the buffer of supply flexibility available to respond to swings in daily demand…The loss of working gas volume is likely to mean that supply shocks…have a sharper and more prolonged price impact.”

The need for more storage was reiterated in 2019 by another industry leader named InfraStrata Plc. “There is more demand in the market than we can satisfy,” said John Wood, the CEO of InfraStrata. “The market in the U.K. is sending out strong economic signals for additional gas storage capacity.”

So why wasn’t more storage built? Well, as it turns out, natural gas storage is taxed and regulated very heavily in the UK, much more so than other industries. Indeed, one of the largest gas storage operators in the country, called Storengy, explicitly called attention to these problems back in 2018, pointing out the “punitive” and “extortionate” tax levels that are applied to storage facilities as well as the numerous regulations that burden the industry.

As a result of these barriers, many potential storage projects have remained on the shelf, since they are prohibitively expensive in the current business environment. Thus, even though the demand is clearly there, the market has been unable to meet it, because taxes and regulations have severely crippled the industry.

This analysis is hardly exhaustive, of course. But at least with respect to the storage issue, it seems clear that government intervention in the market is the primary cause of the food supply chain disruptions.

One of the interesting things about this story is how it highlights the plethora of people, items, and systems that work together to keep our grocery shelves full. First, we discovered that food producers rely on CO2. That led us to investigate fertilizer plants and the crazy natural gas market, and then from there we explored natural gas storage and learned about the many ways that government intervention has been crippling that industry. Of course, most people wouldn’t intuitively connect gas storage regulations with food availability, but the rippling unintended consequences of these policies are very real nonetheless.

In his famous essay “I, Pencil,” Leonard Read similarly draws attention to the “innumerable antecedents” of everyday items, such as the seemingly simple lead pencil.

“Just as you cannot trace your family tree back very far, so is it impossible for me to name and explain all my antecedents,” Read wrote, speaking as the pencil. He goes on to discuss some of the many ancestors of the pencil, the people and things that went into producing it, and he points out how they all depend on one another. Indeed, you can’t mess with the trucking industry without impacting the production of pencils, just as you can’t mess with natural gas storage without impacting food supplies.

With that said, trucking and natural gas are not only ancestors of pencils and food. They are also ancestors of many other products, and this leads to an important insight. In reality, it’s actually somewhat misleading to speak of supply chains, as if the economy consisted of independent, linear processes. The economy is much more accurately characterized as one giant supply web, a multiplicity of interconnected processes that all depend on each other in various ways.

With this in mind, it quickly becomes apparent why interfering with the economy can be so dangerous. When the government breaks one part of the web, they aren’t just impacting one chain, they are creating countless unintended consequences, many of which are impossible to foresee.

If we’re lucky, those consequences will only lead to higher prices. If we’re not so lucky, empty grocery shelves await.

To address the looming crisis, the UK government ended up bailing out CF Industries, the company that owns the fertilizer plants. The deal, which was finalized on September 21, resulted in one of the two plants resuming operations, with the UK government providing “limited financial support,” which the Environment Secretary later clarified was “going to be into many millions, possibly the tens of millions [of euros].”

Since then, the government has brokered a deal between CF Industries and its CO2 buyers. Though the details are unclear, the government seems to be involved in setting the price of CO2, which would constitute even more intervention in the market.

But intervention is not the solution here. When governments intervene, they inevitably distort price signals, leading to increasingly inefficient outcomes. The real solution is for the government to stop causing the problem in the first place by removing the taxes and regulations that are standing in the way of the natural gas storage market.

Granted, it will take some time before the storage market can adjust, but even in the interim, the best way to address these problems is to let markets and prices do their thing.

Why College Degrees Are Losing Their Value

The signaling function of college degrees may have been distorted by the phenomenon known as credential inflation.


The concept of inflation (the depreciation of purchasing power of a specific currency) applies to other goods besides money. Inflation is related to the Law of Supply and Demand. As the supply of a commodity increases, the value decreases. Conversely, as the good becomes more scarce, the value of the commodity increases. This same concept is also applicable to tangible items such as vintage baseball cards and rare art. These are rare commodities that cannot be authentically replicated and therefore command a high value on the market. On the other hand, mass-produced rookie cards and replications of Monet’s work are plentiful. As a result, they yield little value on the market.

Inflation and the opposite principle of deflation can also apply to intangible goods. When looking at the job market, this becomes quite evident. Jobs that require skills that are rare or exceptional tend to pay higher wages. However, there are also compensating differentials that arise because of the risky or unattractive nature of undesirable jobs. The higher wages are due to a lack of workers willing to accept the position rather than the possession of skills that are in demand.

Over the past couple of decades, credentialing of intangible employment value has become more prevalent. Credentials can range from college degrees to professional certifications. One of the most common forms of credentialing has become a 4-year college degree. This category of human capital documentation has evolved to take on an alternate function.

Outside of a few notable exceptions, a bachelor’s degree serves a signaling function. As George Mason economics professor Bryan Caplan argues, the function of a college degree is primarily to signal to potential employers that a job applicant has desirable characteristics. Earning a college degree is more of a validation process than a skill-building process. Employers desire workers that are not only intelligent but also compliant and punctual. The premise of the signaling model seems to be validated by the fact that many graduates are not using their degrees. In fact, in 2013; only 27 percent of graduates had a job related to their major.

Since bachelor’s degrees carry a significant signaling function, there have been substantial increases in the number of job seekers possessing a 4-year degree. Retention rates for 4-year institutions reached an all-time high of 81 percent in 2017. In 1900 only 27,410 students earned a bachelor’s degree. This number ballooned to 4.2 million by 1940, and has now increased to 99.5 million. These numbers demonstrate the sharp increase in the number of Americans earning college degrees.

Today, nearly 40 percent of all Americans hold a 4-year degree. Considering the vast increase in college attendance and completion, it’s fair to question if a college degree has retained its “purchasing power” on the job market. Much of the evidence seems to suggest that it has not.

The signaling function of college degrees may have been distorted by the phenomenon known as credential inflation. Credential inflation is nothing more than “… an increase in the education credentials required for a job.”

Many jobs that previously required no more than a high school diploma are now only accepting applicants with bachelor’s degrees. This shift in credential preferences among employers has now made the 4-year degree the unofficial minimum standard for educational requirements. This fact is embodied in the high rates of underemployment among college graduates. Approximately 41 percent of all recent graduates are working jobs that do not require a college degree. It is shocking when you consider that 17 percent of hotel clerks and 23.5 percent of amusement park attendants hold 4-year degrees. None of these jobs have traditionally required a college degree. But due to a competitive job market where most applicants have degrees, many recent graduates have no means of distinguishing themselves from other potential employees. Thus, many recent graduates have no other option but to accept low-paying jobs.

The value of a college degree has gone down due to the vast increase in the number of workers who possess degrees. This form of debasement mimics the effect of printing more money. Following the Law of Supply and Demand, the greater the quantity of a commodity, the lower the value. The hordes of guidance counselors and parents urging kids to attend college have certainly contributed to the problem. However, public policy has served to amplify this issue.

Various kinds of loan programsgovernment scholarships, and other programs have incentivized more students to pursue college degrees. Policies that make college more accessible—proposals for “free college,” for example—also devalue degrees. More people attending college makes degrees even more common and further depreciated.

Of course, this not to say brilliant students with aspirations of a career in STEM fields should avoid college. But for the average student, a college degree may very well be a malinvestment and hinder their future.

Incurring large amounts of debt to work for minimum wage is not a wise decision. When faced with policies and social pressure that have made college the norm, students should recognize that a college degree isn’t everything. If students focused more on obtaining marketable skills than on credentials, they might find a way to stand out in a job market flooded with degrees.

CULTURAL WAR: The ‘New Slavery’ That No-one Wants To Talk About

There’s been a lot of rhetoric and political discourse about racism. However, no one is talking about the real issue: The “new slavery” that has taken over America!

Today, the word “racist” has become the weapon of choice to silence those who do not want to become slaves. If you want to end a discussion call the other person a racist. Want to take away freedom of speech just label your opponent as a racist.

Many believe that this has to do with past injustices that have yet to be properly addressed in America. You see, the colonies did import slaves, both black and white. Whites came here as indentured servants. Indentured servitude is a form of labor in which a person is contracted to work without salary for a specific number of years. The contract, called an “indenture”, may be entered into voluntarily for eventual compensation or debt repayment, or it may be imposed as a judicial punishment.

On the other hand slavery, i.e. enslavement, is the state and the condition of being a slave, who is someone forbidden to quit their service for an enslaver, and who is treated by the enslaver as their property.

Slavery is not solely race based, rather it is a most egregious crime against humanity.

Today there are still slaves and indentured servants in various Middle Eastern countries and even in the United States of America. The most common form of slavery today is sex slavery. We are witnessing how human trafficking has now become the new form of indentured service and a new form of slavery.

From those who illegally cross the border into America, aided by drug cartels, and sold into prostitution; to those like Jeffery Epstein who “groomed” underaged girls to pleasure his clients, which included the rich and powerful. These are all slaves. But who is talking about this new slavery? No one.

We are also witnesses to cases of individuals enslaved by both government and corporate mandates.

Covid has now become the reason to enslave those who want to make their own healthcare decisions. Get jabbed or lose your job. Rather than calling this slavery, the media and politicians are saying government has the sole right to decide what we do with our bodies. My body, my choice does not apply when it comes to treating this virus. This is historic and has never been done before in America.

It’s not the governments job to protect my health. It’s the governments job to protect my rights.

The more powerful the government the more we the people loose our freedoms and become indentured servants and/or slaves to the bureaucrats at every level, from school board to Washington, D.C.

The Tale of the Slave

In his book “Anarchy, State, and UtopiaRobert Nozick wrote:

Consider the following sequence of cases, which we shall call the Tale of the Slave, and imagine it is about you.

1. There is a slave completely at the mercy of his brutal master’s whims. He is often cruelly beaten, called out in the middle of the night, and so on.

2. The master is kindlier and beats the slave only for stated infractions of his rules (not fulfilling the work quota, and so on). He gives the slave some free time.

3. The master has a group of slaves, and he decides how things are to be allocated among them on nice grounds, taking into account their needs, merit, and so on.

4. The master allows his slaves four days on their own and requires them to work only three days a week on his land. The rest of the time is their own.

5. The master allows his slaves to go off and work in the city (or anywhere they wish) for wages. He requires only that they send back to him three-sevenths of their wages. He also retains the power to recall them to the plantation if some emergency threatens his land; and to raise or lower the three-sevenths amount required to be turned over to him. He further retains the right to restrict the slaves from participating in certain dangerous activities that threaten his financial return, for example, mountain climbing, cigarette smoking.

6. The master allows all of his 10,000 slaves, except you, to vote, and the joint decision is made by all of them. There is open discussion, and so forth, among them, and they have the power to determine to what uses to put whatever percentage of your (and their) earnings they decide to take; what activities legitimately may be forbidden to you, and so on.

[ … ]

The 10,000-headed master can do this also.

7. Though still not having the vote, you are at liberty (and are given the right) to enter into the discussions of the 10,000, to try to persuade them to adopt various policies and to treat you and themselves in a certain way. They then go off to vote to decide upon policies covering the vast range of their powers.

8. In appreciation of your useful contributions to discussion, the 10,000 allow you to vote if they are deadlocked; they commit themselves to this procedure. After the discussion you mark your vote on a slip of paper, and they go off and vote. In the eventuality that they divide evenly on some issue, 5,000 for and 5,000 against, they look at your ballot and count it in. This has never yet happened; they have never yet had occasion to open your ballot. (A single master also might commit himself to letting his slave decide any issue concerning him about which he, the master, was absolutely indifferent.)

9. They throw your vote in with theirs. If they are exactly tied your vote carries the issue. Otherwise it makes no difference to the electoral outcome. [Emphasis added]

Which category of slave are you? Are you today at the mercy of a brutal master and his whims (e.g. pimp, lawyer, politician or a combination of all three)? Are you violating your masters rules (a.k.a. mandates)? Are you the slave of a small group like a political party or movement? Are you given a vote but then your vote is diluted by others voting fraudulently (e.g. non-citizens voting) or stolen by not being counted?

Without election integrity we are just slaves of a corrupted election system. Without one man one vote we’re no longer a Constitutional republic.

What Has Made Indenture and Slavery Obsolete?

Answer: Liberty, Freedom and Capitalism!

Professor of political science at Rose State College James Davenport in an article titled “4 Common Capitalism Myths Debunked” wrote:

One of the most disappointing things I face as a college professor is the lack of understanding most students have regarding capitalism. The simple fact is, despite its importance to our daily lives, relatively few people have a strong grasp of what causes economic growth and why markets are so central to continuously rising standards of living.

In my teaching, I have encountered several myths or misperceptions about capitalism from students as well as individuals outside the classroom. Dispelling these myths has become a focus of much of my teaching. [Emphasis added]

President John F. Kennedy said,

“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.”

Here are the 4 common myths about Capitalism that Davenport wrote about:

  1. Capitalism Was “Created”: Friedrich Hayek explained, the market system is not really “created” as much as it is a system that evolves out of human interaction and discovery.
  2. Capitalism Creates Poverty: This may be the most pernicious of all the misunderstandings I encounter regarding markets. The idea that absent market capitalism would create greater shared wealth within society continues to permeate the thinking of a great deal of people. This is despite mounting evidence that, as markets are used by more and more countries, global poverty is steadily decreasing.
  3. Capitalism Is about Capital: The underlying foundation of capitalism is human freedom. As Adam Smith recognized, when individuals are permitted to pursue their self-interest through markets, they are amazingly good at finding ways of bettering not only themselves but society as well.
  4. Capitalism Creates “Winners” and “Losers”: While it is true that some individuals and firms succeed while others do not in capitalism, this also is hardly an exclusive feature of markets…capitalism is different in this regard in two important ways. First, capitalism increases the number of “winners.” Unlike other systems, capitalism reduces the barriers to entry into market activity for larger numbers of individuals. The resulting competition provides greater opportunities for success (both great and small) than in any other system.

Bottom Line

The polar opposites of slavery are freedom, liberty, emancipation and manumission (enfranchisement).

If you want to stop being a slave then embrace freedom.

The Continental Congress voted for independence on July 2, 1776. Two days later on July 4, a declaration explaining the reasons for independence, largely written by Thomas Jefferson, was adopted. Washington received an official notification via a letter dated July 6 from John Hancock, the president of the Continental Congress, along with a copy of the declaration.

The Declaration of Independence made history with these words:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.

It’s as simple as that. The less you’re free the more you become a slave. Whenever any or all of your unalienable rights are taken from you, either by coercion or force, then by definition you are now a slave.

You see at no point in history have the people forcing others into compliance been the good guys.

Boeing Backs Down, Drops Vaccine Mandate for U.S. Employees

Boeing suspended its coronavirus vaccine mandate for U.S. employees on Friday after a recent U.S. District Court ruling halted President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for federal contractors.

A Boeing spokesperson said:

Boeing is committed to maintaining a safe working environment for our employees, and advancing the health and safety of our global workforce. As such, we continue to encourage our employees to get vaccinated and get a booster if they have not done so. Meanwhile, after careful review, Boeing has suspended its vaccination requirement in line with a federal court’s decision prohibiting enforcement of the federal contractor executive order and a number of state laws.

Last month, workers from Boeing joined employees from other companies in a massive protest against the vaccine mandates.

Boeing’s vaccine requirement went into effect in October after Biden mandated that federal contractors vaccinate their workforce or implement regular testing. Although the initial deadline was December 8, the Biden Administration extended the deadline to January 4 last month.

Earlier this month, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia ordered the Biden administration to halt enforcement “in all covered contracts in any state or territory of the United States of America.”

Boeing vaccinated more than 90 percent of its employees while the mandate was in effect.

“The success of Boeing’s vaccination requirement to date positions the company well to comply with the federal executive order should it be reinstated in the future,” an internal Boeing announcement said.

However, over 11,000 Boeing employees sought an exemption from the mandate on religious or medical grounds. That number is roughly nine percent of the company’s U.S. workforce.

Boeing joins companies like General Electric, HCA Healthcare, Spirit AeroSystems, and Amtrak that recently suspended their vaccine requirements.

Members Of Congress And Their Families Traded Over $630 Million In Stocks This Year

A report from The New York Times’ DealBook — based upon research conducted by Capitol Trades — revealed that asset purchases amounted to $267 million, while sales amounted to $364 million:

About 60 percent of these trades were in company stocks, with the rest split among funds, bonds and other assets. Republicans bought $100 million worth of stocks this year, versus $75 million for Democrats, according to the average of ranges that lawmakers provide in filings.

Politicians from the two major parties displayed distinct portfolio preferences:

Democrats are really into tech stocks, which accounted for some $35 million, or nearly half of all purchases by the group (versus only 14 percent for Republicans). Microsoft was the most popular big-ticket buy: The husband of Representative Suzan DelBene of Washington is a former Microsoft executive who sold between $5 million and $25 million in the company’s stock in October, which she reported past the 45-day deadline, prompting criticism. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband is a real estate and venture capital investor who is active on the stock market, making a pair of million-dollar purchases of Microsoft stock during the year, among other trades.

Republicans are more about energy, buying $32 million worth of stock in companies in the sector during the year, about a third of all purchases (versus a mere 1 percent for Democrats). Representative Mark Green of Tennessee was associated with many of the biggest energy trades, spreading six-figure purchases across a range of firms.

According to The New York Times, members of Congress also traded $26 million in stock options and $300,000 in cryptocurrencies.

The report comes days after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) disregarded questions on Wednesday as to why lawmakers should be allowed to trade individual stocks.

“Madam Speaker, Insider just completed a five‑month investigation finding that 49 Members of Congress and 182 senior Congressional staffers have violated the STOCK Act, the insider trading law,” noted a reporter on Wednesday. “I’m wondering if you have any reaction to that.”

“And secondly, should Members of Congress and their spouses be banned from trading individual stocks while serving in Congress?” the reporter asked.

“No, I don’t — no, to the second one. Any — we have a responsibility to report in the stock — on the stock,” Pelosi responded. “But I don’t — I’m not familiar with that five month review, but if the people aren’t reporting, they should be.”

“Why shouldn’t they be banned?” the reporter pressed.

“Because this is a free market and people — we are a free market economy,” Pelosi responded. “They should be able to participate in that.”

Earlier this year, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell ordered an ethics review after regional officials made large stock trades during the 2020 recession. For instance, Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan held Apple, Amazon, Boeing, Alphabet, and Facebook stock, while Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren held stock in Pfizer, Chevron, and AT&T.

Following the review, the central bank concluded that senior policymakers — including the twelve reserve bank presidents and seven governors — will be subject to a more stringent set of rules for their personal portfolios, including a ban on purchasing individual securities.

Pro-migration activists escalating race-themed ‘hate’ PR campaigns against critics of mass migration

“Pro-migration activists are escalating their race-themed “Hate” PR campaign against critics of federal migration policy– even though many recent polls show the critics are mainstream, multi-racial, and multiplying.

The latter point does not matter to Leftist pro-migration activists. They claim to represent “human rights” and opposition to racism, but ignore the global jihad, which inflicts the worst human rights abuses globally. They care nothing about the astronomical numbers of jihadist blacks who are murdering Christian blacks in Africa. To Leftists, some black lives don’t matter. Useful idiots scream “racism” at critics of irresponsible immigration policies, dismissing those critics who are from multiracial groups. Meanwhile, advocacy for open-door immigration policies threatens the sovereignty and security of Western countries.

Heidi Beirich is a hardcore Leftist activist who formerly led the SPLC’s “Intelligence Project.” Beirich is now working with another “social justice” activist group, the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism. She insists contrafactually that “the argument for curbing immigration is just a ‘white nationalist’ argument that America should be for white people, and everybody else is somehow subpar and doesn’t belong.”

Beirich took a run at me in the Toronto Star, calling me “anti-Muslim” for writing for Jihad Watch after I was fired by the Trudeau Liberal government for criticizing Islam. She was quoted as saying that “Douglass-Williams has been ‘on the anti-Muslim circuit for some time’ and has written hundreds of articles for Jihad Watch since 2012.” She falsely asserts that Jihad Watch is “anti-Muslim.” Jihad Watch is about the stealth and violent jihad; is she then insinuating that all Muslims are jihadists?

She and a colleague landed the Southern Poverty Law Center in a lawsuit for falsely designating the Center for Immigration Studies as a “hate group.” And after Robert Spencer was blacklisted by Mastercard, Beirich said: “We want PayPal, we want Mastercard, we want all of them to stop servicing hate groups.” And she herself is the self-appointed arbiter of what constitutes a hate group.

In 2017, Judicial Watch warned that evidence had emerged that Middle Eastern jihadists were entering the United States across the Mexican border. It is a common sense observation that jihadists on a mission of conquest would exploit open borders. But Leftists, especially those who materially gain from the business of open-door migration, continue to defame and libel genuinely concerned citizens. Should anyone oppose the obvious dangers of open-door immigration policies, they are called “racists,” “Islamophobes,” “anti-Muslim,” and “white supremacists.”

Meanwhile, jihad training camps have been operating “in America’s back yard,” and with the opportunity that reckless open-door immigration policies offer, and the fact that martyrdom is the jihadist’s ultimate calling, America is in trouble. And drug traffickers and other unvetted criminals are also all welcome.

Pro-Migration Activists Accelerate ‘Hate’ Campaign Vs. Immigration Reformers

Pro-migration activists are escalating their race-themed “Hate” PR campaign against critics of federal migration policy– even though many recent polls show the critics are mainstream, multi-racial, and multiplying.

The argument for curbing immigration “is just a white nationalist argument that America should be for white people, and everybody else is somehow subpar and doesn’t belong,” said Heidi Beirich, who named her activist group, The Global Project Against Hate and Extremism.

The GOP has “benefited enormously from [establishment] media outlets actively normalizing anti-immigrant hysteria,” according to an op-ed published by the Los Angeles Times.

“This movement has very sinister origins, right? Racist eugenicist beliefs that have shaped the ideology,” claimed Lola Ibrahim, the director of the Migrant, Immigrant & Refugee Rights Alliance. She spoke at a December 9 online meeting of progressives seeking to minimize media coverage of Americans’ views about immigration.

The mainstream groups include the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), NumbersUSA, the Federation for American Immigration Reform, and the Immigration Reform Law Institute.

“The point is to intimidate people and prevent them from articulating these mainstream policy views,” responded CIS director Mark Krikorian. He continued:

If they can shut us up, they have a good chance of preventing these views from being articulated by politicians and writers. [If] so, they would’t have political effect because even if people agree with you, if no one is talking about those issues and no politicians are running on them, then people’s opinions and views can’t translate into policy.

It is somewhat successful but not nearly as much as they want. Obviously, concerns about excessive immigration are breaking out of the box that these groups would like to confine them to. It’s not just [President Donald] Trump — Trump was more a manifestation of that happening rather than the cause of it.

Multiple polls show the public is increasingly opposed to the federal government’s economic policy of cheap labor migration. That policy cuts Americans’ wages, raises their housing costs, and diverts politicians from national problems of productivity, alienation, health, education, research and prosperity.

For example, the left-wing Equis Research group reported December 13 that almost 51 percent of Latinos want to rollback asylum migration, and 45 percent want to reduce legal immigration:

A YouGov poll reported in November that 63 percent of whites, 52 percent of Hispanics — and 40 percent of blacks — believe President Joe Biden has not been tough enough on migration:…..

The Good and the Bad: NDAA and Debt Limit

As we broke down for you in last week’s Saturday Summary, Congress agreed to terms late last week on both the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and a debt limit increase.

This week, Congress officially passed both bills, one of which is GOOD for the country and one of which is BAD for the country.

The Good––NDAA:

  • Increased military funding by $30 billion compared to the previous year. This ensures our military is fully funded and ensures our service members are paid well.
  • Thanks to your efforts, the “Draft our Daughters” provision was removed
  • And a problematic “red flag” provision related to gun rights was also removed!
The Bad––Debt Limit:
  • In a near party-line vote, Congress agreed to raise the debt ceiling by $2.5 TRILLION, pushing it to $31.4 TRILLION. Make no mistake––this $2.5 trillion debt ceiling increase is to pay for Congressional Democrats’ past, present, and future spending addiction. This much debt without reforms to address the issue is very, very bad for the country.
  • Filibuster carveout––Democrats bypassed the filibuster to raise the debt ceiling with the help of Senate Republican leadership. It sets a bad precedent for filibuster exceptions in the future.

The Left’s disastrous “Build Back Better” bill––more accurately described as the “Build Back Broke” bill––looks to be in major jeopardy in the Senate as Democrats delayed voting on the bill until next year.

Adding to Democrats’ woes is the recent ruling by the Senate Parliamentarian that Democrats can’t include mass amnesty as part of the reconciliation process.

These developments are a win!

The Democrats’ “Build Back Broke” bill would be the greatest expansion of the welfare state since LBJ, and without the Left’s budget gimmicks, would cost $5 TRILLION dollars, adding $3 TRILLION to the national debt according to a Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report.

Soaring inflation is another major concern with this bill. Inflation is at a 40-year high and prices are up nearly 7% from last year.

How will the Biden administration fix it? They want to spend trillions more and add trillions to the debt… sure, because pouring trillions more into the system will have no impact on prices…

That’s why it’s a win that Democrats will push BBB to next year.

They’ve been trying for months to pass this disaster of a bill, but thanks to your efforts they won’t succeed.

‘Freeloading’ Elon Musk to Pay Largest Federal Tax Bill in History, an Estimated $8.3 Billion

The Tesla founder is expected to pay the largest federal tax bill in history—but his critics say that’s not enough.


Elon Musk made a bold claim on Twitter on Tuesday. The Tesla founder said he would “pay more taxes than any American in history this year.”

Is the claim true? Only the IRS knows for certain who the largest taxpayer in US history is, but Forbes says Musk appears to be right.

“The eccentric billionaire (and the world’s richest person) likely owes the federal government at least $8.3 billion for 2021,” Forbes reports.

Business Insider projects Musk’s tax bill is even higher when state taxes are included.

“Taxes on his stock, nearly a billion in Net Investment Income Tax, and the billions he likely owes California could add up to about $12 billion in total,” report Jason Lalljee and Andy Kiersz.

CNBC, meanwhile, figured Musk’s total tax bill was even higher—$15 billion.

The bulk of Musk’s tax bill stems from the nearly $13 billion in Tesla stock sold as of December 13, which is even larger than the record $10.2 billion worth of Amazon stock Jeff Bezos sold last year.

Whatever Musk’s tax bill ends up being, it’s worth examining the context of his claim. Musk was not bragging that he had the largest tax bill in history; on the contrary, he was responding to Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who—somewhat unfathomably—lashed out at Musk for not paying his fair share of taxes.

“Let’s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else,” Warren tweeted.

You read that correctly. Warren, the progressive lawmaker from Massachusetts, called Musk a freeloader. It’s possible that Warren didn’t know that Musk is set to pay more in taxes than any American—perhaps human being—in history, but it’s more likely she simply does not care and is comfortable peddling the fiction that Musk isn’t paying taxes. Warren made this clear in subsequent remarks after Musk had responded to the Senator.

“He’s the richest guy in the world, and he just doesn’t want to pay taxes,” Warren said. “That’s what it’s all about for me.”

She continued:

“I gotta say, on behalf of every school teacher who pays taxes, on behalf of every waitress who pays taxes, on behalf of every American citizen who goes out and works for a living and pays taxes …that’s just fundamentally wrong. We have a broken tax system that lets Elon Musk freeload off everyone else, and it needs to stop.”

Warren’s claim that Musk is a “freeloader” is preposterous, of course. Taking the lowest estimate on what Musk is expected to pay, he’ll cough up more in taxes than the entire state of Massachusetts collected in sales and use taxes through the first half of 2021—from its 7 million residents.

Moreover, unlike Warren, who collects a salary from the government, Musk earned much of his wealth by creating value. Tesla employs nearly 80,000 people who’ve built no fewer than 623,000 energy-efficient cars in 2021 alone. Its market cap is nearly $1 trillion, which has made untold numbers of Tesla employees and shareholders wealthy. Warren, on the other hand, creates nothing. Every dollar of her $174,000 salary—and the money she pays her staff with—comes from funds confiscated from taxpayers. Every dollar she authorizes to be spent was taken from someone else who earned it.

Musk’s success should be applauded, but instead Warren—the true freeloader—accuses him of “freeloading” and believes he should be paying more.

What really appears to bother Warren is that Musk has so much. In other words, it’s a politics rooted in envy.

Envy is considered one of the Seven Deadly Sins, and for good reason. It’s a corrosive disposition that harms both individuals and societies. The celebrated philosopher Immanuel Kant described envy as,

“…a propensity to view the well-being of others with distress, even though it does not detract from one’s own. [It is] a reluctance to see our own well-being overshadowed by another’s because the standard we use to see how well off we are is not the intrinsic worth of our own well-being but how it compares with that of others. [It] aims, at least in terms of one’s wishes, at destroying others’ good fortune.”

The pre-Socratic philosopher Democritus (c. 460 BC – c. 370 BC)—in a wonderfully libertarian quote—once warned of the danger of envy and purpose of the law.

“[Just] laws would not prevent each man from living according to his inclination, unless individuals harmed each other; for envy creates the beginning of strife,” he wrote.

Strife is precisely what Warren and those who share her philosophy are sowing, and it’s clear she and others view Musk’s good fortune with distress. If that’s not envy, I don’t know what is.
