VIDEO: Highways in The Sky – Aviation On The Road Ahead

Highway in The Sky  video posted by  Jorj Baker  on  Vimeo.

It can now be revealed how air transportation became so flawed  –  that two (2) nominally qualified pilots were so spatially confused, as to literally fly a serviceable, modern airliner into the ocean, despite onboard installation of quote “Terrain Avoidance Warning Systems (TAWS)” unquote, which were functioning, while under controlled flight, at the time of accident.

In 1957, US Navy Commander George Hoover  –  a universal genius of far ranging intellect, vision & capacity  –  declassified his system of spatial awareness for Navy jet aircraft Aviators, known as the Command Flight Path Display (CFPD) and presented it to Capt. Dan Beard, Vice President of Flight for American Airlines (AAL), at a convening of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Aviation Committee, which Capt. Beard chaired.

The CFPD  –  informally dubbed the “Highway In The Sky”  –  was so intuitive & immediate for spatial awareness that it would end unintentional “Controlled Flight Into Terrain” (CFIT) altogether, in air transportation, military flight and the larger aviation community.

Inexplicably, Capt. Beard effected no action to install Cdr. Hoover’s system on American Airlines aircraft.

Over the years, mounting to decades, American Airlines and the industry, suffered ongoing fatal CFIT accidents, needlessly killing tens of thousands worldwide  –  including the devastating crash of an American Airlines Boeing 757 aircraft at Cali, Columbia on 20 December 1995, killing 160  –  in spatial confusion circumstances not dissimilar to the present Micronesia occasion of September 2018.

Three (3) years earlier, in 1992, First Officer P. E. Brooks, AAL, had briefed then AAL Vice President of Flight, Capt. Bill James, a former Naval Aviator, about Cdr. Hoover’s system, describing even then  –  some nearly 40 years after first releasing his Navy system to American  –  Cdr. Hoover was ready to help install the system on American’s fleet.

Capt. James was untimely killed a few months later, in a Park City, Utah skiing accident  –  ending for the nonce, official renewed initiative on the ‘Highway In The Sky’ at American, and sealing the fate of the AAL 757 passengers & crew at Cali, Columbia, still some three years out from their appointed rendezvous with mortality.

Ironically, unbeknownst to Capt. James  –  until just those few months prior to his own death  –  he had owed his life to a Geo. Hoover mandated ejection seat installation, while departing his troubled Navy F-8 Crusader.

James’ successor, Capt. Cecil Ewell, AAL, also a Navy Combat Aviator, was briefed in detail about the CFPD system, by FO Brooks in the very same office, in 1997, following receipt of the Cali, Columbia crash investigation report  –  in company of Capt. Rich LaVoy, AAL, President of the Allied Pilots Association (APA), Capt. Frank Nehlig, AAL (Ret.), and Mike Lewis, Director of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Aviation Safety Program.

Capt. Ewell likewise effected no action to install Cdr. Hoover’s system on American aircraft.  Capt. Ewell did advocate installing the provisional Allied Signal, Inc. “Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System” (EGPWS) on AAL aircraft.

See, Highways In The SkyAviation On The Road Ahead, by FO Brooks, in the July/August 1997 issue of “FLIGHTLINE”, a publication of the Allied Pilots Association.

This very same EGPWS system was installed aboard & operating correctly, during the Boeing 737 2018 Micronesia crash.

Those onboard could not have known eventuality of their crash, had been predicted two (2) decades earlier  –  despite the EGPWS installation  –  in FO Brooks’ 1997 article.

On a flight deck jump seat, awaiting pushback at that time, departing Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (KDFW), American Airlines’ AMR CEO Don Carty, was shown still images of the ‘Highway In The Sky’ system by FO Brooks, exclaiming,

Wow, I didnt even know we had this stuff!”

Mr. Carty then readily accepted invitation for a complete briefing soon to follow.

Capt. Ewell later advised FO Brooks by telephone, CEO Carty would not be disposed to receive the CFPD briefing after all, nominally amid labor relations disputes, which had surfaced at American.

During this time, an AAL Boeing 727-223, crashed short of the runway, in controlled flight, low visibility conditions  –  not dissimilar to the present instant  –  at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (KORD).

At nearly the same time, in August 1997, a Korean Airlines (KAL) Boeing 747-200 Jumbo Jet crashed on approach to Guam  –  in low visibility conditions similar to the present case  –  killing 229.

The morning following the KAL crash, during a ‘Flight Deck Technology’ conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, Capt. John Hutchison, British Airways (BA) Ret., a Boeing 747 and later Concorde pilot, offered remarks to several hundred breakfasting industry attendees stating,

The only way to solve the CFIT problem,

is to deploy the Highway In The Sky system

First Officer Brooks is advocating in his conference white paper.’

In November 1997, FO Brooks travelled to England to address the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) about the ‘Highway In The Sky’  –  receiving their whole hearted endorsement, along with an invitation to be made an RAeS Fellow.

RAeS reprinted an updated version of the “FLIGHTLINE” article and circulated it to RAeS membership in 130 countries.

While in Europe, FO Brooks recruited participation of others, at centers of advanced ‘Synthetic Vision’ work in Delft & Amsterdam of The Netherlands and at Hamburg, Darmstadt, Frankfurt & Munich, Germany.

Special Effects Wizard Douglas Trumbull, of “2001: A Space Odyssey” movie renown, teamed with FO Brooks to produce the short film HIGHWAYS IN THE SKY:  AVIATION ON THE ROAD AHEAD“, premiered at the first of two “Synthetic Vision” conferences at NASA’s Langley, Virginia, Aviation Safety Program, attended by industry hundreds from around the world.

FAA Administrator Jane Garvey screened the “HIGHWAYS” film at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC in a briefing prepared especially for her, by attending board members of the Allied Pilots Association  –  including President Capt. LaVoyTreasurer First Officer Bob Morgan, AAL.  FO Brooks detailed to Mrs. Garvey, the impeccable credentials of highly experienced, Captain Nick Tafuri, AAL  First Officer Donnie Williams, AAL  both former US Air Force pilots, as professional airmen of the ill-fated Cali crash  –  much like the Micronesia crew.

Administrator Garvey issued a public statement, saying,

Highwaytype Synthetic Vision systems

represent a potentially significant enhancement

to the safety & efficiency of

the National Air Transportation System.’

Later the “HIGHWAYS” film was exhibited to NASA Administrator Daniel Goldin, his staff & American Airlines’ AMR Vice Chairman, Bob Baker (deceased), at an Industry Conference hosted by NASA’s Cleveland Lewis Research Center at Cleveland International Airport (KCLE), Ohio, in October 1998.

A former TRW, Inc. engineer involved in sensor-based spatial awareness, Administrator Goldin, in company with attending FAA Administrator Garvey on the dais, detailed to five or six hundred industry attendees, one day soon, a business jet would depart from Cleveland, arrive at Teterboro, NJ and return safely, using ‘Synthetic Vision’  –  never having seen anything through the cockpit windows.

It began to appear the ‘Highway In The Sky’ would at last lead to broad industry advancement.

That morning, at a private breakfast with FO Brooks, AMR Vice Chairman Baker had offered to set up a meeting in Seattle, WA with Boeing CEO Phil Condit, to prime the pump for a ‘Highways’ paradigm shift among vendors and at American.  To his credit, Baker later testified before Congressional committee, as to desirability of commencing ‘Synthetic Vision’ cooperation between industry, the FAA & NASA  –  though internal AMR company communications would later omit this portion of his testimony from an AAL employee news publication.

Based on the ‘Highways’ briefing for Administrator Goldin, NASA earmarked an additional 50 Million USD for Synthetic Vision programs in NASAs Aviation Safety Program.

Later in December 1998, Goldin convened an executive level meeting with aviation industry CEO’s, about larger cooperation with NASA on ‘Synthetic Vision’ and other necessary improvements to air transportation.  Mr. Goldin was at pains to demonstrate he regarded the industry as NASA’s customers.  In fact, he vigorously asserted this doctrine to fidgety NASA employees in attendance at the Cleveland conference  –  in front of everyone  –  when from back of the auditorium, they openly carped about ‘science for science’s sake’.

The industry knock was NASA folks enjoy ‘science projects’  –  with little practical effect in the marketplace.

To his credit  –  on his watch at least  –  this would not be so, for Administrator Goldin’s NASA.

Goldin specifically authorized the Space Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) to acquire topographic data over 80% of Earth’s land mass, creating the first ever near-global dataset of land elevations.  The ten day mission flew from 11 – 22 February 2000, producing terrain data necessary to populate the ‘Highway In The Sky’ Terrain Database for aviation.

Never before had industry & government functioned so well together.  It was happening!

Meanwhile, FO Brooks & Professor Wolfgang Kubbet of the University of Technology  –  Darmstadt, Germany agreed to write a proposal to NASA to fund creating terrain database protocols necessary for ongoing monitoring of changing surface obstacle data, into the future.  FO Brooks dubbed the effort the “International Terrain Database Integrity Group” (ITDIG).  Commercial aviation chart manufacturer Jeppeson, Inc. hungrily joined in & the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) stood up an industry committee to manage the work.  The Allied Pilots Association detailed a Graphic Navigation Committee member pilot to serve as secretary for the group.

NASA’s Aviation Safety Program issued a contract for the work.

NASA’s ’Synthetic Vision’ systems were flown on NASA 737 and 757 aircraft by technical pilots of American Airlines, Alaska Airlines and others  –  at KDFW, terrain challenged Reno International Airport (KRNO) & elsewhere.

Sadly, labor relations descended further into long-simmering acrimony for Americans Airlines and its employee groups in the late 1990’s and abruptly, advances on shifting paradigm for true spatial awareness in air transportation aircraft  –  using the “Highway In The Sky”  –  were quietly subsumed by what can now be judged, as pecuniary, shortsighted considerations.

At length, Cdr. Hoover (USN, Ret.) died and was interred with full honors at Arlington National Cemetery in March 1998, eulogized on the floor of the US House of Representatives by Congressman & Navy Fighter Ace Randy “Duke” Cunningham  –  who likewise owed his life to a Hoover-mandated ejection seat  –  and by former US Marine Corps Aviator, member of the ‘President’s Hundred’ at the National Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio, the Marine Corps High Power Rifle Team and the APA Graphic Navigation Committee (GNC), First Officer Jeffrey Cooper, AAL.

The US Navy refused a fly over.

American Airlines LAX Chief Pilot, Capt. Len Duncan, a former Navy S-3 Viking Aircraft Commander, refused First Officer Brooks’ attendance at the memorial despite request of Cdr. Hoover’s widow for a eulogy.  Captain Duncan had, a decade earlier, handed an American Airlines pilot employment application to FO Brooks, a then US Coast Guard HU-25A Guardian (Falcon Jet) Aircraft Commander.

Cdr. Hoover’s farsighted thumbprint on American Society is yet understood by naught but a handful of remaining admirers.

In fact, the flat panel display you are reading this recitation with now, extended as just one of many innovations in Hoover’s remarkable military, aeronautical & space programs.

Capt. Cecil Ewell, a Navy Combat veteran, (retired from AMR with full pension & perquisites intact) never realized his full charter for leadership in the air transportation sector, as Vice President of Flight for American Airlines, the largest air carrier in the world.

His oft recited airman maxim,

“Enter no airspace your mind has not already occupied,”

now echoes hollow with tinny irony, as deficiencies of the EGPWS system he advocated, are laid bare, in the continuing operation.

Capt. Rich Lavoy, a former Navy P-3 Orion Aircraft Commander, later retired from American Airlines, having been shooed from office by impatient peers embroiled in labor strife with AMR, who felt compulsion to shift from his long-view, visionary leadership style, as President of the pilot’s association, to a ledger-oriented, dollars & cents approach.  APA’s Graphic Navigation Committee  –  stood up to lead the industry to the necessary future beckoned by Cdr. Hoover’s insightful vision  –  was abdicated in near-sighted, even myopic focus, at the moment it was needed most for burgeoning air transportation.  This was especially true in non-English speaking cultures, where international standard, English-placarded flight decks, are nevertheless a necessity to operability in global air traffic.  Pilot Association board members never quite grasped that emoluments & remunerations they coveted to extract, from an adversarial Railway Labor Act (RLA) process, lay before them like a smorgasbord of professional credibility, in the industry leadership they eschewed to harvest, by shifting operational paradigms from ancestor worship, ‘steam gauge instrumentation’ to the compelling spatial freedom of graphic displays.

Design void, created by the American pilots association leaders’ folding their tent on ‘Synthetic Vision’, connects directly to the present Micronesia event.  They had turned their backs on perhaps the greatest opportunity that would ever present itself, to reshape their entrenched industry  –  mired in decades of railroad style, steam gauge thinking  –  to emerge as the new leaders of an improved, more humane, safer & more effective air transportation system.

CEO Don Carty of AMR stepped down, sometime after a teleconference call on the afternoon of September 11th, 2001 with his fellow US major airline CEO’s and the FAA Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety & Security, Lieutenant General Michael Canavan, US Army (Ret.), during which Mr. Carty and his peers strenuously & unanimously argued for getting US airliners immediately back up in the air, to prosecute airline business plans,

despite continuing, unmitigated, demonstrated threats,

to the American Public & the Nation’s Strategic Infrastructure

by air terrorism,

all of which registered on the chagrined, disbelieving ears of Administrator Canavan, who had just been seated in his FAA safety post, a short nine months earlier, in December, 2000.

He would not last long.

Later it would be realized,

as many as a dozen aircraft had been targeted for use,

in attacks from coast to coast.

AMR and American Airlines would pay a dear price for Mr. Carty’s stunning hubris, when a week into October of 2001, an American Airlines Boeing 767 wide body aircraft suffered another breach attack upon its cockpit, nearly causing loss of the aircraft and its over 170 passengers & crew  –  while on descent into heavily populated metropolitan Chicago, as a disturbed assailant burst through the cockpit door at a run, grabbing the captain’s control yoke, intent upon crashing the aircraft from altitude.

Air Transportation owed its very continuity to the courageous flight crew onboard that day, including Capt. Dean Weber, AAL  &  First Officer Vince Belzer, AAL, who physically fought the intruder off & subdued him.

Capt. Weber managed to keep the wide body jet in controlled flight during the wild cockpit melee.

A former US Marine Corps Aviator and collegiate wrestler, FO Belzer exercised remarkable restraint in sparing the life of the assailant that day  –  literally while New York’s toppled Twin Towers were still smoldering, on the heels of September’s horrific 9/11 attacks just weeks earlier  –  realizing in the moment, a deadheading, uniformed American First Officer had raced forward, in company of other passengers, to appear at the cockpit door to assist FO Belzer with removing the attacker from the flight deck.  It was a sticky instant as  –  all alone  –  Vince was compelled to quickly decipher what purpose brought them en masse to his door step, just then.

Had that aircraft gone down  –  so quickly on the heels of 9/11 tragedies  –  it is certain the entire air transportation industry would have been grounded once more, this time for an extended period, pending results of the accident investigation & deployment of substantive measures to secure the National Air Transportation System, something yet to be fully achieved…even now.

So much for business plans.

Several weeks earlier, an internal American Airlines memo, entitled “Airline Safety Action Plan” (ASAP), prepared by FO Brooks, had predicted such ‘copycat’ attacks upon the flight decks of transport aircraft.

In reflection, it was easy to see  –  now that it was understood how simple it was to enter the flight deck  –  there would follow more of the same.

The ‘ASAP’ memo was circulated among pilot officials, AAL Flight Managers and forwarded to Senior Vice President of Operations for American, Gerard Arpey, (later AMR CEO) describing concrete measures, in a ‘2 week, 2 month, 2 year’ response, to secure the nation’s air carrier operations.

The ‘ASAP’ plan would go largely unheeded  –  save perhaps for some well-meaning, but ineffectual Congressional interest  –  even to present.

Capt. Frank Nehlig, a former combat proven Naval Aviation Pilot (NAP) like Geo. Hoover and former American Airlines Base Manager at Los Angeles International Airport (KLAX)  –  during Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) lift provided by American Airlines, supporting opposition to Communist incursion in Southeast Asia during the 1970’s  –  was laid to rest along the banks of the Delaware River, on a little rise, underneath the approach path to Philadelphia International Airport (KPHL).

He maintains quiescent vigil there, peradventure, a solitary sentinel  –  should his brethren stray below glideslope, of a future dark & stormy evening in Pennsylvania.

Captain Nehlig had accompanied FO Brooks on several enjoyable visits to Cdr. & Mrs. Hoover’s lovely Pacific Palisades home, to discuss American Airlines deployment of George’s ‘Highway’ system.

As his fellows had long observed,

Fate is the Hunter.

First Officer Brooks  –  then the only active American Airlines pilot to receive an  Aviation Week & Space Technology Magazine, Commercial Air Transport ‘Laurels’ Award  for his industry leadership on System Design, Safety & Efficiency, using Synthetic Vision for Pilots & Air Traffic Controllers  –  was excoriated by airline functionaries, when he and other American pilots across the system, stood to voice candid objections, to continuing operations  –  absent substantive mitigation of security threats in the weeks & months following the demonstrated breaches of the 9/11 attacks.

He had refused to choke down the perverse Big Lie, controlling airline managers had foisted upon pilots & cabin crew, to parrot before the traveling public that  –  All is Well & Not to Worry.

Once again, his admonitions had proved prescient.

Out of these contested chapters, returned the long-denied Constitutional capacity of US air transport pilots to Keep & Bear Arms, for protection of their passengers, crew and the American public.

Ten years later, on 1 November 2011, before AMR would prospectively declare bankruptcy, as parent corporation of American Airlines, FO Brooks retired    per force, some fourteen years early  –  to preserve receipt of what pension had till then accrued.

Among the 10,000 pilots at American, only some 270 senior airmen managed to correctly decipher the signals, departing with pensions intact, before that door would promptly swing shut forever.  Ironically, the sudden departure of these senior pilots  –  many populating wide body, international routes, where the greater increment of revenue is yielded  –  forced the hand of CEO Arpey and his rapacious band of Wall Street privateers, to prematurely trigger the corporate bomb they had constructed, distastefully imploding the airline early, during the lucrative holiday travel season, as international crew ranks thinned alarmingly & prospect of further early retirements loomed in the AAL pilot corps, creating a great sucking sound, as revenue waned among unserviced routes & pension obligations quickly mounted by an order of magnitude greater than customary  –  a double whammy.

Such were the sub-geniuses afoot at helm of the world’s largest airline.

Their tens of millions in personal guarantees and more, at length did demonstrate a certain clever venality, by the bye.

Messieurs Arpey, Horton, et al, at AMR, while busy accounting their pre-packaged fortunes, would perhaps never realize the coded signals passed among experienced American airmen  –  in the clear, for all with ears to hear  –  portending the Damoclean Sword about to befall them.

Again,

Enter no airspace your mind has not already occupied.

Nonetheless, for the larger part, the dawning realization by pilot leaders that they had inadvertently backed their way into control they had long coveted at American Airlines, by finally withholding their further service & choosing whole, lump sum retirements, rather than bindings of tenuous lifetime annuities from the Airline  –  in an industry with virtually no margin over it’s previous century of blood, sweat, tears & travail, among wind scoured bones of many a defunct carrier  –  came too late for pilots to wield with practical effect.

The power yet available to them in withholding their service entirely  –  RLA be damned  –  would soon be smartly curtailed forever.

On November 29th, 2011, AMR motioned for Chapter 11 Reorganization, in the US Southern District Court of Manhattan, advised by Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital, in a secret, prepared action  –  months in the planning  –  that would see some 40% of employee pensions and more, dissolved at a stroke, under summary gavel of a complicit, buccaneer bankruptcy court.

AMR had some $5 Billion in cash & tens of billions more  –  in American Airlines routes & assets  –  at time of its gratuitous filing.

The soaring American Airlines Eagle

was now become

a Predatory Capital Vulture.

In Matthew 6:24 we learn,

Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

T’was ever thus.

Thus did it come to pass, that at Chuuk in Micronesia, a perfectly good passenger jet could be accidentally driven into the water, with many lives precariously in the balance, in scheduled air transportation, as late as the year of our Lord 2018, while systems to preclude such an ignominious fate had flagged untended for six (6) decades and more, at the highest levels of air transportation authority.

And so it goes.

‘Crimes Have Been Committed’: Steube Highlights Articles of Impeachment Against Biden

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy’s (R-Calif.) decision to launch an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden on Tuesday has put Rep. Greg Steube’s (R-Fla.) four articles of impeachment against Biden back into the spotlight, which were further discussed on Tuesday’s edition of “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins.”

“I felt compelled to file the articles of impeachment based on the evidence that I had seen, and now … the Speaker of the House has determined that we should open an impeachment inquiry,” Steube said. “It allows us to have further power as it is the logical next step to move forward. And I hope that these different committees will move in earnest.”

Steube further explained how the impeachment inquiry exposing the evidence may prove beneficial in helping “more moderate” members of the conference who may not have developed opinions be more educated on what is happening.

Perkins emphasized how the media appears to be dismissing the subject by claiming there is “no evidence” of Biden’s alleged federal crimes. He further spoke on Biden lying about having no knowledge of Hunter Biden’s business deals and various forms of criminal behavior. “It’s hard not to see this and not come to a conclusion as well that this affected the outcome of the 2020 election,” he said. Additionally, Perkins shared his concern of this affecting the 2024 election.

“This absolutely affected the last election,” Steube agreed, while also sharing concerns regarding the upcoming election. “All of this is calculated, all of [what] is going on,” he added. “And it’s gotten worse since Joe Biden’s been president because he’s in control of appointing the people that [are] in charge of the DOJ and the FBI.”

Amid these circumstances, Perkins said, “I know from the Bible, Luke, chapter 18, Jesus says men ought to pray and not lose heart. I think we need to be praying right now for where our nation is, praying for the truth to be revealed.” He added, “But we also need to roll up our sleeves and go to work.” There is a profound level of corruption within our government, Perkins stated. “We need to be bold enough to talk about this.”

Steube concluded that the evidence against Biden is substantial. “[I]t’s hard looking at that, regardless of your political affiliation, … and not see that crimes have been committed.” For Steube, Congress sitting back and not doing anything “would be a complete miscarriage of justice.”

Open Letter to the Democratic National Committee from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

On September 13th, 2023 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. wrote an open letter (below) to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) asking it to lead by example and hold the most transparent, equal, accessible, and accountable election that has ever been seen in this country.

Today, September 14th, 2023, the DNC will likely adopt rules that will punish candidates who campaign in Iowa or New Hampshire, the traditionally first to vote states, where President Biden did very badly in 2020, and replace them with South Carolina, where Biden won. The DNC also proposes to appoint more delegates, who will not be selected by the voters, to assure that Biden will be selected regardless of the outcome in the primaries.

Dear Chairman Harrison and Members of the DNC,

I know some of you well. A few of you are among my oldest friends. Others of you I have never met. But all of you are my family, as public servants and fellow Americans.

Families tell one another the truth, as best we are able with grace and love and, above all, with candor. When we take wrong turns, or fail to live up to our best selves, it is our family’s responsibility to hold up a mirror and recall us back to our true purpose and highest self-expression. And so I feel compelled to write to you now, because in my view, limited though it may be, the Democratic Party has gone off track.

We live in times of division, disease, and turmoil, but they are not the first such times in our nation’s history. Rulers always face the temptation to maintain social control by denying the people their sovereignty and their voice. But from our nation’s founding, through many struggles, we have upheld freedom instead. Our founders shed their blood for it. The civil rights movement fought for it, and the Democratic Party supported that movement under the Kennedy and Johnson administrations, culminating in the Voting Rights Act. Throughout the modern era, the Democratic Party fought back against censorship, upheld civil liberties, resisted corporate influence, and sought to enfranchise as many voters as possible. The Democratic party truly lived up to its name — the party of democracy, the party of the people.

Unfortunately, in recent years our party leaders have succumbed to the siren of control. They have compromised the defining democratic principle of one person, one vote through repeated interference in the primary elections. They have hijacked the party machinery and, in recent years, directed the power of censorship onto their political opponents, raising political victory onto the altar in place of honest democracy.

In school rooms across this country, we teach our children that they have an inalienable right to self-determination, that no matter the town or creed or condition into which they were born, they each have an equal right to vote for the life and society of their choosing. And that someday, they too will have the chance to put forth their own ideas and be elected or passed over, based on the equal votes of diverse peers.

Never, in all the civics lessons in all the schools in America, did the teacher add “except for in states that the President lost in the previous election.” Never, in all the glorious retellings of our fight for universal voting rights, has any teacher added, “and the decision of the people should be overturned if it doesn’t comply with the preference of the ruling elites.” Yet this is exactly the new page in history that the DNC’s pending rules propose, casting out New Hampshire’s votes, limiting ballot access in Iowa, and deploying party operatives to water down the popular vote and ensure a controlled victory.

Equally disheartening is the DNC’s refusal to hold debates. The matter of precedent is spurious, as there has been no serious primary challenge to an incumbent in more than 40 years. (Although Al Gore, a sitting vice-president, did debate challengers in 2000.) Voters deserve — and democracy requires — a competitive process by which to determine nominees. It should be a party’s voters who choose a candidate, not party insiders who anoint one.

The DNC and the Joe Biden campaign have essentially merged into one unit, financially and strategically, despite the promise of neutrality in its charter and bylaws. The DNC is not supposed to favor one candidate over another. It is supposed to oversee a fair, democratic selection process, and then support the candidate that its voters choose.

Much has been said in recent years about our country’s endangered democracy. As someone who has spent decades battling corrupt corporate polluters, I can attest that endangered species are not saved by idle talk. We didn’t bring the Bald Eagle back to the Hudson River Valley by holding a press conference. We did it by cleaning up the pollution that threatened its survival and introducing new chicks to the wild.

Our endangered democracy is no different. Its salvation lies in cleansing our society of the toxic divisions and corporate greed that pollute our political waters. Its salvation lies not in sound bites, but in the careful seeding and nurturing and protection of healthy examples of democracy in action.

To my dear family of fellow public servants and caretakers of democracy, I would like to offer a heartfelt invitation. Please, lead by example and hold the most transparent, equal, accessible, and accountable election that has ever been seen in this country. You have the power to do this. You have the power to restore the faith of the people — faith in the Democratic Party, and faith in democracy itself.

Family to family, I urge you to reflect, privately and in consultation with your higher power, on what legacy you wish to leave. Will it be a fearful, desperate grasping for power at all costs? Or will it be the confident and graceful letting go that marks those who truly believe in democracy? And if, in those reflections, you find yourself seeking sage counsel, I offer the parting words of George Washington — a leader whose voluntary handover of power set a precedent that echoes to this day.

“Parties,” Washington warned, “become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

I write to you now in the hope that you hold the engine of democracy as sacred as I do. I pray that, at a time of public discontent, you cede more power to the public, not less, and thereby do right by yourselves, by the American people, and by the ideal of self-determination that inaugurated our great nation.

In service of a more perfect union,

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

VIDEO: Son of Vietnamese family that escaped Communism in 1975 runs for U.S. Senate

I am a Vietnam veteran. I support a free Vietnam. Free from Communism. Free from oppression.

I was happy to see the son of a family who fled Vietnam running for the U.S. Senate. His name is Hung Cao.

WATCH: Captain Hung Cao’s message to understand what we are facing in America.

Hung Cao on his website states, “what is happening at our southern border with Mexico is an invasion.”

Not only have Joe Biden and Tim Kaine allowed millions of illegal immigrants to pour into our country, they have also allowed in a flood of drugs like fentanyl that are killing Americans in record numbers every single day.

We are seeing military-aged males from countries like China, Yemen, Somalia, and Haiti cross our border from Mexico. I’ve been to over forty countries in the world, but you don’t have to take it from me: those men didn’t walk to Mexico, to walk into our country from there.

The whole world knows that Joe Biden has placed a “Welcome” sign on the Mexican border.

People who hate us have accepted that invitation.

As Senator, I will stop it. We will build the wall, we will secure the border through advanced technology, we will support the Border Patrol and border states, and we will repel this invasion.

ABOUT HUNG CAO, CAPTAIN, U.S. NAVY (RET)

Retired Navy Captain Hung Cao came to the United States as a refugee from Vietnam in 1975. He was commissioned as a Special Operations Officer (Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Deep Sea Diving) from the United States Naval Academy, and served with special operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia.

Hung’s non-combat assignments included balancing the Navy’s $140 billion budget at the Pentagon, working with Homeland Security, and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Hung received his Masters degree in physics from the Naval Postgraduate School, and fellowships at MIT and Harvard.

He and his wife April are the parents of five beautiful children. After their thirteenth move across the United States, and around the world, Hung and April moved their family home to Purcellville, Virginia where they have been active in their community and church.

The Constitution—Worth Celebrating, Not Trashing

September 17th each year marks the historic moment in “the year of our Lord 1787” when the Constitution was signed in Philadelphia.

This was a great milestone in world history. More of the constitutions around the world have been patterned after our nation’s governing document than any other frame of government.

But today the Constitution seems to not be appreciated by many in our culture, including in academia, in the media, in entertainment, even in our government.

A couple of months ago on a bike ride in South Florida, I stopped to photograph something that seemed to me to be a metaphor for our current disrespect for the Constitution.

Someone was throwing out in the trash, along with discarded foliage, a faded, sun-bleached, framed reprint of a classic painting of the founding fathers during the Constitutional Convention.

I thought, how fitting these days—just throwing out the U.S. Constitution with the morning trash. I have already written about a commentator saying on “The View” that that document was “trash”—he used that very term.

Earlier this year I did a radio segment with Dr. Daniel Dreisbach of American University, in which we discussed that particular painting and how the Bible impacted the writing of the Constitution. Dreisbach has noted the open Bible, which can be seen in the bottom right hand corner of the picture.

Meanwhile, polls show that the many younger Americans do not appreciate what we have in this nation with our Constitution.

For example, Axios noted that patriotism is down: “Pride in national identity is lowest among those 18-34, and illustrates the fracture between young Americans and older generations at a time of deep partisanship in the United States.”

And the problem is not just among young people, adds Axios: “The percentage of U.S. adults of all ages polled who say they are ‘extremely proud’ to be American remains near a record low, per Gallup.”

Earlier this year, Fox News reported, on a controversy in North Carolina—not the most liberal state around. The gist of the story is that the state’s legislature wanted key American historical documents to be taught in our schools, including “the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Emancipation Proclamation, at least five essays from the Federalist Papers, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Letter from Birmingham Jail and the Gettysburg Address.”

But nearly 700 professors at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill objected enough to sign a petition against the measure. Fox News writes: “The professors argue the legislation ‘violates core principles of academic freedom’ and ‘substitutes ideological force-feeding for the intellectual expertise of faculty.’”

Many of our cultural elites view our Constitution as out of date and worth ignoring. But the fact of the matter is the founders bequeathed to the world a governing document that is still working. Millions of people have benefited from the Constitution.

For my series of films on how Christianity helped give birth to American liberty, I was privileged to interview the late Dr. Walter Williams. Dr. Williams taught at George Mason University and even guest-hosted for Rush Limbaugh on several occasions. He also wrote a weekly column.

Dr. Williams told our audience: “I think that the United States Constitution has been very valuable just considering the evidence. Number one, we still have the Constitution, although, it’s not obeyed all the time. But the Constitution has led to the richest and the most powerful nation on the face of this earth and the greatest amount of personal liberty that people enjoy, that is the people try to get to United States, people want to live in United States, they want to become American citizens. And the reason why is the liberty that we have.”

A key reason why the Constitution has been so successful is that it was based on a realistic assessment of human nature—that found in the Scriptures and affirmed by all of history. Man is sinful, and therefore power should be diffused among many. The separation of powers is necessary to keep some from oppressing others, as is in our nature to do.

James Madison, a key architect of the Constitution, noted, “All men having power ought to be distrusted.”

As Alexander Hamilton, delegate from New York to the Constitutional Convention, once said: “The triumphs of Vice are no new things under the sun. And I fear, ’till the Millennium comes, in spite of all our boasted light and purification—hypocrisy and Treachery will continue to be the most successful commodities in the political Market.” (The Millennium refers to the Second Coming of Christ.)

Whatever the reason someone was throwing out the picture of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, the fact is that the Constitution is worth keeping in high regard. It has brought liberty to millions, and it continues to do so.

Radical Anti-MAGA Hate Group ‘Indivisible’ Endorses Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr.

The radical group “Indivisible” has endorsed Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. Indivisible is a radical movement started in 2016 as a reaction to the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States. The movement’s organizational leadership includes the radical sub-groups: Indivisible Project, Indivisible Civics, and Indivisible Action.

Former Democrat congressional staffers formed the anti-MAGA “Indivisible” and produced a “how-to” guide of the most effective forms of intimidation and hate of MAGA candidates and President Donald J. Trump.

Indivisible has vowed to “stall the Trump agenda” and “stand indivisibly opposed” to everything attached to it. Indivisible is focused on revenge!

WATCH:

Who is Indivisible?

According to their website Indivisible is focused on:

WATCH: Indivisible Tacoma: ‘Resist and persist’ President Trump

In The Kennedy Beacon article titled “Who’s Behind “Indivisible”? Liam Sturgess reports,

Last Tuesday, a progressive activist group called Indivisible Action announced its endorsement of incumbent Joe Biden in his bid for re-election in 2024.

As covered by The Hill, the organization held an internal vote that found 97% of its leaders and membership in favor of supporting Biden’s re-election effort. It has not been revealed which candidate gained the support of the remaining 3%, or if they were excommunicated.

With that endorsement came a promise from Indivisible’s Executive Director Leah Greenberg, who pledged to “do what it takes to reelect Joe Biden and to send the forces of Donald Trump and MAGA extremism back to the dustbin of history.”

Strikingly absent from the announcement was any mention of Robert F. Kennedy Jr, or the primary race in which he continues to gain momentum against the increasingly unpopular Biden.

Indivisible is yet another in a string of well-funded, Democratic Party-aligned organizations working hard to usher in a second Biden term, regardless of what the party’s voters want. Just like with Progressive Turnout Project’s campaign to “BAN RFK Jr.” from the ballot, and Media Matters’ attempt to paint Kennedy as racist, sexist and anti-Democratic, The Kennedy Beacon decided to take a deep dive into the people and institutions behind Indivisible so as to better understand the network determined to undermine Kennedy at every turn.

The “Indivisible movement” is actually a network of interrelated organizations that appeared following Donald Trump’s surprise election in 2016. On December 11, 2016, a Google Document titled, “Indivisible: A Practical Guide to Resisting the Trump Agenda,” was distributed among liberal activists, authored by a group of former Congressional staffers. According to POLITICO, the goal was “to channel their post-election heartbreak into a manual for quashing President Donald Trump’s agenda.” In other words, revenge.

Specifically, the guide offered tips on a number of aggressive tactics, like tracking down the location of Republican lawmakers; monopolizing Q&A opportunities at town halls; and putting pressure on venues not to host pro-Trump events, suggesting activists “use social media to express [their] disappointment.”

This is not unlike what recently happened to Kennedy, with the New York Society for Ethical Culture’s last-minute cancellation of his scheduled event in late July, addressing the Jewish community. Kennedy suggested on Twitter that the venue was “evidently under tremendous pressure” to disallow him a platform to defend himself against accusations of antisemitism.

Federal Judge Temporarily Blocks New Mexico Governor’s Gun Ban

A federal judge temporarily blocked Democratic New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s public health order banning the carrying of guns in public, according to Reuters.

U.S. District Judge for the District of New Mexico David Urias, a Biden appointee, found the order to be unconstitutional, Reuters reported. Grisham issued the 30-day public health order banning the right to open or conceal carry guns in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County on Friday.

“They just want the right to carry their guns,” Urias said in reference to the plaintiffs, according to Reuters.

Grisham’s order drew immediate backlash from both Republicans and Democrats and was swiftly followed by lawsuits and public protests. New Mexico’s Democratic Attorney General Raul Torrez refused to defend the order Tuesday on the grounds that it would not hold up in court.

“Though I recognize my statutory obligation as New Mexico’s chief legal officer to defend state officials when they are sued in their official capacity, my duty to uphold and defend constitutional rights of every citizen takes precedence,” Torrez said. “Simply put, I do not believe that the Emergency Order will have any meaningful impact on public safety but, more importantly, I do not believe it passes constitutional muster.”

Grisham told reporters after announcing the order that no constitutional right is “absolute.” “If there’s an emergency, and I’ve declared an emergency for a temporary amount of time, I can invoke additional powers,” Grisham said. “No constitutional right, in my view, including my oath, is intended to be absolute.”

U.S. Sees 1,000% Surge In Migrants From Afghanistan, Algeria, China, Djibouti and more.

Border Patrol has seen 1,000% increases in migrants coming from Afghanistan, China and other countries far from U.S. borders between fiscal year 2022 to fiscal year 2023.

The surges include migrants from Algeria, Djibouti, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, Mauritania, Paraguay and Vietnam, outgoing Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz wrote on Twitter Friday. It has been challenging to deport such migrants, Ortiz said.

“While we work diligently to repatriate migrants from these countries, we still have challenges with countries’ governments to get working programs in place to repatriate all those we apprehended,” Ortiz said.

In fiscal year 2021, Border Patrol recorded 342 encounters with Chinese migrants crossing U.S. borders illegally, which surged to 1,987 in fiscal year 2022. In the first seven months of fiscal year 2023, Border Patrol has already encountered 9,753 Chinese migrants.

“Right now in China there’s extreme pessimism, especially among people in their 20s about the future of their country, so it’s understandable that they’re leaving and they’re trying to get into the United States. And, you know, these are people who are relatively middle class, so it shows you the problems in Chinese society are severe,” China expert Gordon Chang previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation of the surge in Chinese migrants.

Several migrants from Afghanistan traveling to the U.S. via Guatemala previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation that they fled their homes because of the Taliban’s takeover after the withdrawal of American forces.

“My message for the government of USA, please open your doors for us and help us,” one emotional Afghan refugee told the DCNF in Guatemala. “We don’t have a country now. I don’t feel we have a country. When I am from Afghanistan, I feel like this too. I don’t have a country. We are the humans of this world. And we need the help of this world.”

Exposé on German Inner Cities: ‘Zombieland’—Migration, Drugs, and Violence

Dutch legal philosopher Eva Vlaardingerbroek together with a German team made a documentary about German inner cities. You can see the same sort of problems as you are familiar with in the U.S.

It’s sad to say, but Germany has become Zombieland.

NiUS reports:

As we all can see, something has changed in Germany. There’s a new form of homelessness in our cities. The effects of drugs, violence, and migration are palpable everywhere. Crystal meth and heroin are found next to children’s playgrounds. Knife fights in front of train stations take place literally every day, and homeless people are decaying while still alive. People who migrated to Germany are struggling to cope. NIUS reporters Eva Vlaardingerbroek and Jan A. Karon document the ‘Zombieland’ from the front lines. The homeless share how they ended up in the streets – and what occupies their minds.

Inflation Surges Above Expectations Despite Fed’s Rate Hikes

Inflation rose significantly in August, marking the second month in a row that inflation has ticked up, according to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) release on Wednesday.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI), a broad measure of the prices of everyday goods, increased 3.7% on an annual basis in August, compared to 3.2% in July, according to the BLS. Core CPI, which excludes the volatile categories of energy and food, remained high, rising 4.3% year-over-year in August, compared to 4.7% in July.

“This will be the second acceleration in a row, showing that inflation is anything but dead,” E.J. Antoni, a research fellow at the Heritage Foundation’s Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Although we’ve been told that inflation has been trending back towards 2%, that’s false. If anything, the annualized monthly data show it was trending towards 3% and is now climbing again.”

The rise in inflation was partly driven by an increase in the price of gasoline, accounting for half of the total gain, with the energy index rising 5.6% for the month. The second largest contributor to the increase was the price of shelter, which has risen for the past 40 months in a row.

The Federal Reserve, in an attempt to lower inflation, has raised its federal funds rate to the highest point since 2001 after a series of 11 rate hikes, bringing the current rate to a range of 5.25% and 5.50%. The Fed will announce on Sept. 20 whether it will raise rates again at the conclusion of its Federal Open Market Committee meeting.

Jerome Powell, chair of the Fed, hinted in August at the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium that the Fed will raise rates if factors like high inflation, a hot labor market and sustained growth continue.

The job market has cooled in recent months, with August only adding 187,000 new nonfarm payroll jobs. The number of jobs added for June and July were both revised down to reflect further softening, adding 80,000 and 30,000 fewer than was previously reported, respectively.

GDP grew less than previously thought for the second quarter of 2023, with the economy growing 2.1% instead of the 2.4% that was originally reported.

“I expect the Fed will continue with a combination of pauses and 25-basis-point hikes for several more months, while continuing to slowly run off the balance sheet,” Antoni told the DCNF. “To put the inflation of the last two and a half years in perspective, roughly all of the household net wealth generated over that time has been confiscated by the government through the hidden tax of inflation.”

The Greatest Threat to Science is from Within

A Progressive tips his hand about how they are trying to undermine Science.

One of Lincoln’s most powerful speeches is the Lyceum Address. The key message is that we should not be so worried about overseas enemies, as corruption from within is our most serious threat…

“At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it?– Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never!--All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years.

“At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.”

I thought of this as I read the interview of one Stanford professor of another. The title is “How To Beat Bad Science.” If that wasn’t enticing enough for me, the person being interviewed (Dr. Jonathan Osborne) was identified as a “science education expert.”

I thought wow! Since I’m a K-12 science education expert, this should be right up my alley, in my lane, fit me like a glove, etc. However, it was a major disappointment.

Interesting note: At no time in the interview does Jonathan define “Bad Science!” Reading between the lines here, the implied definition is when scientists advocate anything that goes against government technical policies (like the net negative consequences for school children to wear masks for COVID-19 — e.g., here).

Ignoring the significant deficiency of the missing key definition, Jonathan says that for students to beat “bad science” they need to learn three skills: 1) be aware of conflicts of interest, 2) evaluate the source’s qualifications, and 3) more rigorously question those who go against consensus!

Point one would evidently be to look for one of the thousands of scientists who are funded by the fossil fuel industry — even though in 40+ years I have yet to find any.

Point two might be to ignore any evidence presented by a scientist, not a specialist — e.g., “only climatologists are qualified to evaluate the claims in climate science.” (This is to deceive the public, as real Scientists know that any Scientist can legitimately comment on the adherence to scientific principles by those in any field of Science.)

To reinforce the surprising third point he goes on to say that: The whole goal of science is consensus! OMG. Here I’ve been laboring for over four decades under the assumption that the goal of Science was: to give us a better understanding of our material existence. Now I find out that The whole goal of science is consensus!

I thought that politics was the field that focused on consensus, not Science. Maybe Jonathan wants us to equate real Science with political science. I’ve written about that problematic deception before (e.g., here), as it is a plague of our times.

It also occurs to me that if the objective of scientists is to agree with other scientists, how can we possibly make any societal progress? If scientists live and work in an echo chamber, nothing substantial will ever change. What sense does that make?

Further, I was always under the impression that the great scientists in history were outstanding because they looked at things differently — which almost always was against the current consensus. Apparently Jonathan does not understand that.

……….

As misguided as the above are due to what is said in that interview, arguably the worst parts are about what is not said. For example, there is not a word of advice for students to learn and apply the Scientific Method. It has been around in some form or other for some 4000 years — and used by people like Newton, Curie, Einstein, etc. Seems that if it was helpful for those giants of Science, it might be useful to K-12 students. But not a word in this interview is advocating the Scientific Method!

Why would Progressives hate the Scientific Method? Because almost every Progressive technical policy (e.g., industrial wind energy) that is subjected to the Scientific Method, fails. That left them two choices: a) advocate technical policies that are actually science-based, or b) get rid of the Scientific Method. They chose b.

Worse is the glaring omission of Critical Thinking. Why wouldn’t the top advice of an “expert science educator” start out with the importance of Critical Thinking? In fact, it could be argued that his first two points would be assumed subsets of a genuine Critical Thinker’s methodology.

But his third point is where the S hits the fan. Having a default position supporting consensus (i.e., conformity) is the exact opposite of Critical Thinking! In the subject area of Science, K-12 students are supposed to be taught to question everything — especially consensus!

Why are Progressives opposed to Critical Thinking? Because their worst fear is to have a citizenry of Critical Thinkers! They want compliant citizens who don’t ask questions, and who go along with whatever policies are proposed, regardless of their scientific sensibility. Think COVID-19 policies.

The more I thought about these two glaring omissions (the Scientific Method and Critical Thinking) the more it struck me that these exactly reflect the anti-Science mentality conveyed in the NGSS and its basis, the Framework, — now used by some 45 states in their K-12 education. (See my Education Report for more details.)

On a whim, I decided to check out a hunch I had, so I just looked up who were the Progressive authors of the Framework (which became the NGSS). Here they are.

Scroll down and — mirabile dictu —there is Jonathan Osborne! Who woulda thunk?

This should convey a VERY clear idea of the mentality of the select Progressive clique that wrote the K-12 Science Standards — again, now used in some 45 states!

Please read about my success in reversing some of that in North Carolina, plus a subsequent post about how committed citizens can do the same in their state…

PS — I emailed both of these co-conspirators and stated my primary objection. If I get anything of value back, I’ll post it here. So far zip, so don’t hold your breath!

7 Lies, Distortions, or Abominations in Joe Biden’s 9/11 Speech

On the 22nd anniversary of 9/11, Joe Biden once again made history for all the wrong reasons — ignoring grieving families, lying to U.S. soldiers, and attempting to cut a plea bargain with terrorist masterminds while sending billions of dollars to the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. Here are seven examples:

1. Location

Joe Biden became the first president not to take part in ceremonies in one of the three cities associated with the 9/11 attacks: New York City; Washington, D.C.; or Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Instead, he spoke at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, a location his remarks attempted to tie to the attacks. Add Biden — whom NBC News dubbed the “consoler-in-chief” — skipping this 9/11 memorial to his historic firsts of admitting the most illegal immigrants into the United States ever and the highest number of Americans to die of drug overdoses (problems which are correlated), and it paints the picture of a president who does not care about U.S. citizens or their losses.

His handlers blamed a scheduling conflict for Biden’s whereabouts — but who sets the president’s schedule? In any previous administration, the question would be rhetorical. Biden, or his handlers, felt it more important for the president to attend the G-20 Summit in India (or “the G7,” as Biden called it), followed by a trip to Vietnam — conveniently putting a younger, more “diverse” Democrat center stage during the event. (Biden’s disastrous performance at his Vietnam press conference may explain why.) Still, the president’s absence seemed anomalous enough that Biden felt required to explain the trip constituted “an essential part of how we’re going to assure the United States is flanked by the broadest array of partners and allies who will stand with us and deter any threat to our security.” If Biden thinks Vietnam will send troops to defend the United States, much less join a future U.S.-led nation-building exercise, he’s delusional — which may explain…

2. Joe Biden Lied about His Location on September 12, 2001

During his speech, Biden shared vividly invented memories of “Ground Zero in New York — I remember standing there the next day and looking at the building. I felt like I was looking through the gates of Hell, it looked so devastated.” In reality, video footage proves that Joe Biden attended a session of the Senate in Washington, D.C., on September 12, 2001. But self-aggrandizing fables hardly surprise coming from Joe Biden, who has embellished his past more than anyone since Walter Mitty. He also falsely “remembered” being “shot at” during a trip to Iraq (a shot landed outside his hotel) and searching for Osama bin Laden over “the superhighway of terror between Pakistan and Afghanistan where my helicopter was forced down” (due to a snowstorm), as well as being arrested in the 1980s while trying to meet future South African President Nelson Mandela (they met in 1990 in the Senate Foreign Relations executive committee room), taking part in sit-ins in the 1960s, meeting with members of the Tree of Life Synagogue after a mass shooting, and presiding over an America thriving due to Bidenomics.

3. Biden Praises the Mission to Kill Osama bin Laden — Which He Opposed

During his remarks, Biden tied himself to “heroes like the 9/11 generation … who followed Osama bin Laden to the ends of the earth and ultimately send him to the gates of Hell 12 years ago. And then last year, I made the decision to take out [Ayman al-]Zawahiri, the number two, who met the same fate.”

But Joe Biden opposed the mission that killed Osama bin Laden, as he boasted to an audience in 2012. Once again, video footage captures Biden telling a different audience a different tale:

“The president, he went around the table with all the senior people, including the Chiefs of Staff. And he said, ‘I have to make this decision. What is your opinion?’ He started with the National Security adviser, the Secretary of State, and he ended with me. Every single person in that room hedged their bet, except Leon Panetta; Leon said, ‘Go!’ Everyone else said ‘49/51,’ this …

“It got to me. He said, “Joe what do you think?” And I said, ‘Ya know, I didn’t know we have so many economists around the table. We owe the man a direct answer. Mr. President, my suggestion is don’t go. We have to do two more things to see if he’s there.’ He walked out, and he said, ‘I’ll give you my decision.’” (Emphasis added.)

Barack Obama dithered for 16 hours while the military waited for his decision. The Navy’s SEAL Team 6 succeeded in raiding bin Laden’s compound on May 2, 2011. Then-Vice President Biden blurted out that Navy SEALs killed the terrorist mastermind at a Washington dinner one day later. That August 6, a Taliban RPG blew up a Chinook helicopter in Afghanistan, killing 38 U.S. soldiers, including 17 members of SEAL Team 6. “In releasing their identity, [the Obama-Biden administration] put a target on their backs,” said the father of one of the soldiers killed that day.

4. Biden Seeks a Plea Bargain to Spare 9/11 Masterminds the Death Penalty

Just weeks before the speech, the Biden administration quietly initiated proceedings to cut a deal that would spare the death penalty for the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and four other co-conspirators currently held at Guantanamo Bay. The families of 9/11 victims expressed outrage that they learned of the impending plea deal in “a form letter.” Sparing the terrorists a trial would suppress “information that no doubt would shed light on the identity of the 9/11 conspirators — secret and hidden — not only from the 9/11 families but from the American public.” Even now, as U.S. officials have just identified two more of the victims at the Twin Towers, the Biden administration seeks to conceal the identity of its perpetrators.

5. Biden Gave $6 Billion to Iran on 9/11

As Biden rhetorically crusaded against terrorism from a military base, his administration released billions of dollars to the leading state sponsor of terrorism. Under the terms of an agreement announced last month, Biden transferred $6 billion and five imprisoned Iranian assets in exchange for five American prisoners. Biden’s Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, notified Congress he had authorized the payment on 9/11.

“We used to call funding a terror state an act of treason,” said Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.). No one denies Iran remains the global leader in terror sponsorship — including the Biden administration. “Designated as a State Sponsor of Terrorism in 1984, Iran continued its support for terrorist-related activity in 2021, including support for Hizballah, Palestinian terrorist groups in Gaza, and various terrorist and militant groups in Iraq, Syria, Bahrain, and elsewhere throughout the Middle East,” according to the most recent terrorist report from Biden’s State Department.

Iran’s terrorism barely outdates Joe Biden’s desire to send the Ayatollah U.S. taxpayers’ dollars. Biden also wanted to send Iran a check for $200 million with “no strings attached” immediately after 9/11/2001 to prove America’s goodwill. The New Republic reported in October 2001:

America needs to show the Arab world that we’re not bent on its destruction. “Seems to me this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran,” Biden declares. He surveys the table with raised eyebrows, a How do ya like that? look on his face.

The Obama-Biden administration went on to give Iran $1.7 billion in 2016.

6. Biden Boasts of Protecting the Troops

During his remarks, Biden reassured the troops, “I will never hesitate to do what is necessary to defend the American people, just as I will never forget our sacred duty to those of you who serve.” Can anyone believe Joe Biden will protect Americans from another Taliban attack when his precipitous withdrawal abandoned possibly thousands of U.S. citizens to the Taliban’s tender mercies, and left soldiers so vulnerable that a suicide bomber killed 13 U.S. servicemembers? The Taliban incorporated numerous terrorists into its newly minted government — much as the Obama-Biden administration’s unconstitutional war put al-Qaeda affiliates in charge of Libya and its machinations installed a regime favorable to the Muslim Brotherhood, the fundamentalist group where Osama bin Laden met Ayman al-Zawahiri, in Egypt.

Yet the Biden administration seemed more interested in firing the Marine who criticized the collapse of Kabul, Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, than the political advisers who engineered it.

To the extent Biden intends to keep a “sacred duty,” he certainly defines it differently than any of his predecessors: Pentagon spokesman John Kirby called funding abortion-related travel the “foundational, sacred obligation of military leaders.”

7. Praising ‘National Unity’ while Sowing Division

As the bipolar Biden administration frequently does, Biden mouthed the right words about “national unity” — fluffy phrases that belie his dedication to Balkanization, division, and enacting a racial spoils system for his supporters while demonizing, surveilling, and imprisoning his political opponents. Biden waxed nostalgic that after 9/11, “American flags sold out in every store and were placed in front of seemingly every home. … This day reminds us we must never lose that sense of national unity, so let that be the common cause of our time.” Americans must resist being “pulled apart by petty, manufactured grievances” inflamed by “the poisonous politics of difference and division.”

Such inspiring words make one wonder if the president remembers his “Dark Brandon” speech, flanked by soldiers, in which he denounced his political opponents as an existential threat to American survival in front of a black-and-red colored Constitution Hall. That speech flowed more naturally from the Biden administration, which has placed intersectionality and “equity” at “the center” of a “whole-of-government” plan to redistribute wealth and respect toward solidly Democratic-leaning voting blocs.

One need look no further than actions taken by Biden’s Department of Homeland Security last week — again, on the eve of 9/11. The DHS doled out Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention grants, which are intended “to prevent targeted violence and terrorism,” to:

  • The Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League ($530,000) to provide “in-school” indoctrination “for LGBTQ+ youth ages 6-24” in D.C.-area schools. (You can read the details here.);
  • American University’s Polarization and Extremism Research and Innovation Lab, or PERIL ($784,276), for “teaching children in grades K-5 how to recognize harmful online content.” PERIL (get it?) partners with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, the pro-gun control Everytown for Gun Safety, and the Anti-Defamation League. To “prevent radicalization,” PERIL encourages teachers to have “classroom conversations” about “the Movement for Black Lives and protests against systemic police brutality, to the far-right insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th.” PERIL’s leader, MSNBC columnist Cynthia Miller-Idriss, also claims that young people who “are more committed to a kind of gun culture also have higher scores on racial resentment and male supremacist ideas” and worries that Americans might be “easily persuaded by false information … about why they need a gun”;
  • Boston Children’s Hospital ($820,990), which carries out transgender surgeries on children as young as 13, to train mental health practitioners how to identify and deal with people allegedly at “risk for targeted violence and terrorism”;
  • University of North Dakota ($386,682.78) for an “educational module [that] expands understanding of Indigenous culture”;
  • Columbia University ($820,332) to develop “an interactive program focused on storytelling”; and
  • Michigan State Police Michigan Intelligence Operations Center ($425,485) to “raise awareness of how the community can identify and properly refer individuals who may demonstrate behaviors that suggest they may be going down a path toward violence.” This comes after investigators exposed an alleged kidnapping plot targeting Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D), creeping with allegations of entrapment involving more than a dozen FBI agents or informants.

Such “anti-terrorism” grants seem more intended to target the soldiers Biden addressed than Osama bin Laden’s spiritual progeny.

Taken together, the picture of Joe Biden that emerges is one of an exhausted vessel shafted by his handlers, whose decades of foreign policy experience have created a more dangerous world — and whose victims will receive either his animus or indifference.

NYC School Kids KICKED OUT to Make Room for Illegal Migrants, ‘No More Room’ For American Students

A government by the people? Hardly.

How long are good people going to subject themselves to this government horror?

NYC school kids KICKED OUT to make room for migrants: ‘No more room’

By: Blaze, September 11, 2023

New York City is not handling the influx of illegal immigrants well — and it’s American children who are paying for it.

When the children of NYC went back to school, 21,000 of them were turned away due to the arrival of migrant children.

At a high school in Long Island City, a line to enter stretched around the block.

“But don’t worry, a 15-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela said he’s excited for his first day of high school,” Sara Gonzales comments.

“Not so great, though, if you’re a child, an American child, in New York City being displaced by illegals,” she adds.

Eric July notes that most people who believe immigration won’t affect the country don’t realize that yes, America does have a finite amount of space.

“Folks act like this isn’t even a thing, right?” July says. “It’s just, ‘It’s okay, America’s big, has all this land, just bring each and every individual over here. These folks are seeking better lives and that’s it.’”

“But they don’t ever look at the short-term and especially the long-term issues, even cultural issues, cultural conflict, that can and has stemmed from this,” he adds.

John Doyle agrees.

“We don’t need this many people,” Doyle says. “They’re clogging up the housing markets, the highway system.”

“That’s not why we built this country. We didn’t build it for Venezuelans, we built it for Americans. I’m sorry, but like, that just happens to be the case,” he adds.

Gonzales notes that while those who disagree might believe it’s not a compassionate way to look at the situation, they are overlooking those who actually need that compassion who were born and raised in America.

“We’ve got all of these homeless people who are being displaced again in New York City,” she says.

“We’re choosing as a nation to not be compassionate to our own in exchange for being compassionate for citizens of other countries.”

‘I Put Some Lube On’: John Kennedy Reads Aloud From Pornographic Kids Books At Senate Hearing

Republican Sen. John Neely Kennedy of Louisiana read from a pornographic book at a Senate hearing on Tuesday amid a heated exchange about school boards removing such books from libraries.

Kennedy read from two books — “All Boys Aren’t Blue” and “Gender Queer: A Memoir” — both which have been removed from bookshelves in school districts across the country over their sexual conduct. The hearing, titled “Book Bans: Examining How Censorship Limits Liberty and Literature,” was held by the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“I put some lube on and got him on his knees and I began to slide into him from behind. I pulled out of him and kissed him while he masturbated. He asked me to turn over while he slipped a condom on himself. This was my ass, and I was struggling to imagine someone inside me. He got on top and slowly inserted himself into me. It was the worst pain I think I have ever felt in my life. Eventually, I felt a mix of pleasure with the pain,” Kennedy read from “All Boys Aren’t Blue.”

The book is described as a “young-adult memoir [that] weaves together the trials and triumphs faced by Black queer boys” on Amazon.

“I got a new strap-on harness today. I can’t wait to put it on you. It will fit my favorite dildo perfectly. You’re going to look so hot. I can’t wait to have your cock in my mouth. I am going to give you the blowjob of your life. Then I want you inside of me,” he read from “Gender Queer: A Memoir” by Maia Kobabe.

Kennedy then questioned Democratic Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias of Illinois, a witness at the hearing, about whether he thought the book should be available to kids, as well as Cameron Samuels, a student who uses “they/them” pronouns and had a placard with the title “Mx. Cameron Samuels.”

“It’s pronounced Mix,” Samuels said. “Senator, your definition of ‘sexual’ is synonymous with LGBTQ identity.”

Samuels went on to say that there should be “collaboration between students, parents, and educators” on the availability of books and defended the books from which Kennedy read.

“All Boys Aren’t Blue, the scene you mentioned, is about sexual abuse. It’s not erotic … Students who do not read books like All Boys Aren’t Blue cannot learn what is appropriate,” Samuels said.

“All I’ve heard is the librarians [get to decide] and parents have nothing to do with it. If that’s your response, what planet did you just parachute in from? Or what country, more appropriately? This is not China,” Kennedy said.

“Mr. Secretary, I understand this is good for your politics back home,” he told Giannoulias. “It has everything to do with your politics. You came here with a problem. I’m trying to understand the solution, but you don’t have one.”
