BLM Threatens to Rip President Trump from White House: “We About to Go Get that MotherF***er!”

Most people don’t realize the Black Lives Matter organization is a Marxist anarchist group.

By David Harris, August 30, 2020:

The three black lesbian founders, 2 of them self-proclaimed trained Marxists, proudly promote black advancement, transgenderism, the dissolving of the traditional “nuclear” family, and women supremacy by ending male-dominated environments, to name a few.

They identify their members as “Comrades”, the standard form of address in the Russian Armed Forces and Police of Russia.

From their website:

“We are unapologetically Black in our positioning. In affirming that Black Lives Matter, we need not qualify our position. To love and desire freedom and justice for ourselves is a prerequisite for wanting the same for others.”

“We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts.”

We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.

We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence.

We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered.

We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.

We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).

Now the BLM street activists may or may not be behind all of them, but we do see they are anti-white violent activists who feel entitled to take from white Americans, forcing everyone to lift their fist for Black Lives Matter, and are demanding the end of police departments.

Charlie Kirk put out a Tweet featuring a video clip of The Black Lives Matter leader from Utah, who made it to Washington DC for a rally and march on Friday.
(Rand Paul said they were funded and sent here from out of state!)

During his time with the microphone, the Utah leader of Black Lives Matter John Sullivan called on BLM to “rip Trump from the White House!”

He called for a “Revolution!”

That’s what they want.

That’s where this ends.

BLM will be able to grow as long as our culture tolerates it.

With less than 13 percent of the population and with the most annual abortions per capita, they will either be allowed to terrorize communities or if different leaders take over, or they can connect with church leaders and others who can work things out peaceably and locally.

RNC BOUNCE! President Trump’s Approval Rises Nine Points Among Black Voters

Amazing. This latest poll has President Trump’s approval rating at 24 percent among Black voters. Trump only needs this number to be at 15 percent to crush Joe Biden and the Left in November. #Blexit.

Donald Trump’s Approval Rises Nine Points Among Black Voters During RNC

By Breitbart, August 30, 2020

President Donald Trump’s approval with black voters rose nine points during the Republican National Convention, according to a Hill-HarrisX poll conducted August 22-25.

The poll asked one question: “Do you approve or disapprove of the job Donald Trump is doing as President of the United States?”

The Hill reported:

Twenty-four percent of registered black voters in the Aug. 22-25 survey, which included the first two days of the convention, said they approve of the job Trump is doing as president, while 76 percent said they disapprove.

That is up 9 points from the previous survey conducted Aug. 8-11, where the President received 15 percent support among this group.

The survey found support among Hispanic voters also grew by 2 percentage points, from 30 percent in the last poll to 32 percent in this most recent survey.

The poll conducted an online survey of 2,861 registered voters. Among Republicans, 82 percent approve of Trump while 18 percent disapprove.

A  Zogby poll of 901 “likely voters” published on Wednesday reported Trump’s approval at 52 percent, with a 47 percent disapproval rating. More narrowly, the president had a 36 percent approval rating with blacks, a 37 percent approval rating with Hispanics, and a 35 percent approval rating with Asians.

Ten percent of black and Hispanic voters changed their support from former Vice President Joe Biden to Trump over a two-month period, according to a CNN poll published on August 16.

The Ignorant Mob Assault on Rand Paul Shows How Political Tribalism Undermines Progress

Hate blinded the mob to the supreme irony of their ignorance.

Following the death of George Floyd in May, a bipartisan national consensus emerged that serious criminal justice reforms were needed. This put emphasis on an issue that already had broad spectrum support.

Polling shows that a clear majority of Americans support reforms such as ending “no-knock” search warrants, limiting police use of chokeholds, eliminating the civil liability shield for abusive police officers, mandating dashboard and body cameras, and more. In fact, even a majority of police officers support these reforms.

So why hasn’t Congress actually accomplished anything? Well, the disturbing saga that just played out featuring Sen. Rand Paul reveals the problem in a nutshell.

An irate mob swarmed the Kentucky senator and his wife as they left the Republican National Convention on Thursday evening to walk back to their hotel. Video captured shows the Pauls being shielded by police officers as members of the mob scream obscenities at them. Agitators then try to push past the police and assault the legislator and his spouse.

“Just got attacked by an angry mob of over 100, one block away from the White House,” the senator tweeted afterwards. “Thank you to [the DC Police Department] for literally saving our lives from a crazed mob.”

“Thursday night felt like being in a terrifying dystopian novel,” Kelley Paul wrote in a Washington Examiner op-ed after the fact. “The mob swarmed me and my husband… We rushed up to two police officers, and I believe that is the only thing that kept us from being knocked to the ground. As the mob grew and became more threatening, we literally could not move, and neither could the two officers for several minutes. The rioters were inches from us, screaming in our faces.”

“Mobs are terrifying,” she continued. “They looked at us with no humanity — just a vicious and righteous zeal.

What’s particularly ironic is that these agitators were screaming obscenities about criminal justice and the death of Breonna Taylor at one of the most outspoken champions of police reform in Congress.

The assailants screeched things like “Say her name!” and “Breonna Taylor! Breonna Taylor!” Yet they were harassing the very senator who met with Taylor’s family and worked with them to craft legislation banning the “no-knock” police search warrants that led to her tragic death.

That’s right: Rand Paul literally introduced the “Justice for Breonna Taylor Act.”

Paul has also championed other criminal justice reform causes such as sentencing reform and demilitarizing the police. It’s no exaggeration to say that he has done more to advance criminal justice reform than almost any other elected Republican in America.

None of this mattered to the mob that menaced Paul and his wife. The agitators, and some left-wing commentators, were too blinded by tribalist hatred of Team Red to even acknowledge the basic fact that Paul has explicitly worked for justice for Breonna Taylor:

This is just a sampling of blind partisan hate that has poured Paul’s way. The ignorance and bigotry of this behavior is manifest. But it’s all part of a broader phenomenon, and this disturbing affair reminds us how partisan tribalism makes progress impossible.

Even Democrats and liberals who disagree with Paul on everything else ought to appreciate his work on criminal justice and seek to work together on the issue. Some, such as Sens. Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, have done so in the past. But increasingly, many on the Left instead indiscriminately vilify all Republicans and are unable to view them as anything other than inherently evil members of Team Red.

Such partisan venom—to say nothing of literal mobs—makes cooperation toward shared goals impossible and sets back progress. If the other side will still hate you and never give an ounce of credit, why would any elected official ever stray from the party line?

Unfortunately, tribalistic behavior is hardly exclusive to the Left.

Some prominent Republicans and conservative media commentators regularly engage in similarly tribalist and blind opposition to Democrats. (Although, thankfully, the Right is far less prone to mob violence and rioting than today’s Left). However, other Republican leaders like Senator Paul have shown a willingness to reject tribalism and work with anyone across the aisle, from Rep. Ro Khanna to Sen. Bernie Sanders, where common ground can be found.

Simply put, tribalism is to progress what bleach is to growing grass. Until more Americans can view our political opponents not as inherently evil enemies but as real people who aren’t always wrong, no meaningful change can be accomplished.

Donald Trump: ‘Protesters, Your Ass’ — These Are Anarchists

President Donald Trump criticized Democrat protesters in America’s major cities at a campaign rally in New Hampshire on Friday.

The president also criticized the corporate media and leading Democrats for repeating that they were “mostly peaceful protests” despite reports of rioting, arson, and looting.

“Protesters. You know what I say? ‘Protesters, your ass!’ I don’t talk about my ass,” he said as the crowd laughed. “Those are anarchists, agitators, rioters, and looters.”

The president referred to the hundreds of protesters who gathered outside the White House on Thursday night as he delivered his acceptance speech for the Republican National Convention.

“Today’s Democrat Party is filled with hate,” he said. “Just look at Joe Biden’s supporters in the streets screaming and shouting at bystanders with unhinged manic rage, right?”

The president claimed that the protesters probably did not even know who George Floyd was, the black man who died after a police officer knelt on his neck for several minutes, sparking the first wave of protests.

“They are just looking for trouble,” Trump said. “It has nothing to do with George Floyd or anything. They don’t even know who George Floyd is. They have no idea.”

The president mocked the Democrats and the media for refusing to condemn the protesters for gathering in close quarters despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“Democrats have no complaint about the rioters and the vandals marauding through our cities or mass unruly demonstrations, but they don’t believe law-abiding citizens can go to church together,” Trump said as the crowd booed.

Black Lives Matter Spray Paints “Free Palestine” Outside Kenosha Synagogue

As reported by Town Hall correspondent Julios Rosas, a Black Lives Matter rioter was caught on video spray painting Free Palestine on the driveway of the Beth Hillel Temple in Kenosha.

Beth Hillel, like a number of other leftist temples, is a despicable institution that had been pandering to the racist hate group and excusing the violence, but that doesn’t change what the graffiti says about the motives and mindset of BLM.

Nor is this an unusual event. It’s part of a pattern.

During the Los Angeles Black Lives Matter riots which targeted the Fairfax community and its large Orthodox Jewish population, Congregation Beth El on Beverly Blvd was spray painted with the hateful message, “F___ Israel”, and “Free Palestine”.

There’s a pattern. And the pattern is antisemitism.

Why a Leading White Supremacist Endorsed Joe Biden

White supremacist Richard Spencer is back in the news again for endorsing Joe Biden, which means that I am once again being inundated with furious messages from morons who cannot distinguish between Richard Spencer and Robert Spencer. Because of that common confusion from people who apparently think the Watergate president was Robert Nixon, I am reluctant to write about young Richard (not Robert!), but this time it’s important to consider: why would a man who has been widely reviled as a neo-Nazi, and is open and unapologetic about his racism, endorse the candidate of the party of Antifa and Black Lives Matter?

While Leftists have frequently tried to tie Richard Spencer to President Trump and his followers, portraying his advocacy of a “white ethnostate” and the complete separation of the races as the true heart of Trump’s program, the real Richard Spencer tweeted on Sunday:

Competent for what? It is reasonable to conclude that Richard Spencer reckons that a President Biden will move the United States closer to his goal of segregation and everlasting enmity between the races. There is growing support for just the kind of segregation Richard wants, not among the pro-Trump conservatives that the establishment media has tried hard to link to him, but among the leftists who share his choice for the 2020 election. The day after Richard endorsed Biden, a New York University student group calling itself Black Violets demanded an “Exploration Floor” in a dorm that would be open to black students only. “NYU is a predominantly white institution, making it very difficult for Black students to connect or find community, especially when incidents involving racism occur,” Black Violets explained. “It is not about exclusion, but rather creating a space where Black students can feel included.”

Not about exclusion, that is, except for the exclusion of anyone who isn’t black. And who is every last member of Black Violets going to vote for? There is no doubt about that: all of them, except a few who vote for even more open socialists, will go for Biden in a bloc.

NYU officials, meanwhile, said they were open to fulfilling Black Violets’ demand, and that it wasn’t really segregation, no, not at all, if you just squinted a bit and tilted your head to the side, then it didn’t look like segregation at all: “A story claiming that NYU is implementing ‘racial segregation in its dorms’ is false and misleading. The University strongly supports the goals of diversity, and of creating an environment that is welcoming, supportive, and inclusive for students of color and students from marginalized communities. However, NYU does not have and will not create student housing that excludes any student based on race.” Sounds as if they’re standing firm for sanity, until they further explained that they were considering establishing the Black Violets’ “Exploration Floor.” It’s not segregation when they do it, you see.

And who are these anti-segregation segregationist NYU administrators voting for? Why, Biden, to a man, woman, and trans. Moreover, as Rating America’s Presidents: An America-First Look at Who Is Best, Who Is Overrated, and Who Was An Absolute Disaster demonstrates, Biden’s Democratic Party has a long, sorry history of promoting segregation and racial injustice. Contrary to the conventional wisdom among America’s miseducated youth today, there was no “party switch” resulting in Republicans becoming the party of racial discrimination while the Democrats became the party of racial justice. Rating America’s Presidents shows that the Republicans’ support of civil rights has been consistent and unbroken, while the Democrats’ embrace of it was cynical, self-serving and partial, epitomized by Lyndon Johnson’s derisive sneer that with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, “I’ll have those n—-rs voting Democratic for two hundred years.” In light of all that, it’s no surprise that Richard Spencer would feel at home with “liberals.”

The positions of the two parties today are quite clear. Once that black student group at NYU gets its black-only living area, the other student housing at the university will be more predominantly white. No one will be more pleased by that than Richard Spencer, one of the foremost representatives today of the idea that a man should be judged by the color of his skin, not by the content of his character. Two other major proponents of that idea are Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

‘Kyle Did Nothing Wrong’: Attorneys For Teen Kenosha Shooter Say He Acted In Self-Defense

Attorneys for Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old charged with killing two people and wounding another during a riot on Tuesday, said the teenager “did nothing wrong” and only pulled the trigger to defend himself from harm.

“Kyle did nothing wrong. He exercised his God-given, Constitutional, common law and statutory right to self defense,” Pierce Bainbridge, the law firm representing Rittenhouse, said in a press release Friday evening.

Rittenhouse is facing six charges from the shooting, including first degree intentional homicide and attempted intentional homicide.

Video from the incident shows a group of people chasing after Rittenhouse, someone other than Rittenhouse firing a shot into the air, and then Rittenhouse turning around and shooting one of the men chasing him. As Rittenhouse fled from the scene of the first shooting, he tripped and was set upon by several other individuals who were chasing him, videos show.

Rittenhouse shot two of the men as they lunged at him while he was on the ground, according to video from the scene. All three of the shooting victims were convicted criminals with crimes ranging from sexual conduct with a minor to felony strangulation, court documents reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation show.

“A 17-year-old child should not have to take up arms in America to protect life and property. That is the job of state and local governments,” John Pierce, the law firm’s founder, said in a press release Friday.

“However, those governments have failed, and law-abiding citizens have no choice but to protect their own communities as their forefathers did at Lexington and Concord in 1775. Kyle is not a racist or a white supremacist,” Pierce added.

WATCH THIS 1969 VIDEO: ‘Color, Communism and Common Sense’

RELATED VIDEO: Manning Johnson’s Farewell Address.

A message from a former member of the U.S. Communist Party and author of “Color, Communism, and Common Sense.”

From the LP, back cover:

Has the NAACP helped the American Negro, or hindered him?

Whose assignment is it to downgrade a Negro community into a “ghetto,” and to see that it remains a “ghetto”?

What did the U.S. Supreme Court do to the lives of more than 130,000 qualified Negro teachers in the South?

What did the Communists do, in 1928, to insure today’s “civil rights” insurrection?

Who really started church segregation in the South?

These and many other provocative questions are superbly answered in this probing and abundantly documented speech by a God-serving and patriotic American Negro who was enticed into Communism with Utopian promises, who worked his way up to the high echelons of the conspiracy, then suddenly and dramatically saw through the blandishments. That was the day Manning Johnson faced the jolting realization that he was being used as an activist in the plot to destroy his native land. When the fever of managed news and manipulated mass communications has burned itself out, and truth once again shines on the avenues of information, Manning Johnson’s name will loom large and gloriously in the list of American Negroes of whom all Americans can be proud. In the minds of many, a veil of mystery obscures the true circumstances of Manning Johnson’s death. Was he cleverly liquidated by subversive elements, or did he die of natural causes? That question, too, is answered in the introduction to this final speech of Manning Johnson.

‘Nice White Parents’ Responsible for Failing Public Schools, New York Times Says

Why does the public education system continue to fail America’s children? Policy experts have pondered this question for decades.

Most say the answer is complicated, requiring a nuanced, collaborative approach.

But not The New York Times. It found the problem, and it’s simple: white parents.

The solution? “Try, whenever possible, to suppress the power of white parents.”

How are socialists deluding a whole generation? Learn more now >>

That quote comes from the Times’ podcast “Nice White Parents,” which chronicles the history of a single public school in New York. Specifically, the host, Chana Joffe-Walt, decides to look into the racial history of this school.

Her first finding: Many parents who advocated for the integration of public schools, specifically this public school, did not end up enrolling their children. Instead, they chose to send their children to established schools with a history of success. This choice—made predominantly by white families—is why the school has struggled, Joffe-Walt says.

She contacts several of these parents to scold them for not sending their children to a worse school to serve the larger cause of public education. Some parents note that although they believed in advancing school integration, they perceived this particular school to struggle academically, noting that many students could not read at grade level.

Joffe-Walt chalks up these criticisms to racism, rather than a genuine observation that the school would be a step backward academically for a student functioning at grade level.

Does she offer concrete policy solutions to fix the underlying academic issues plaguing the school? Of course not. Instead, she perpetuates the myth that parents choosing to exit the public school system leads to underfunded schools.

In reality, schools are not underfunded. Not even close. In fact, since the creation of the Department of Education in 1979, education spending has gone only in one direction: up. Test scores, by contrast, have remained entirely stagnant.

New York spends almost $23,000 per student per year in the public school system—a close second to Washington, D.C., for the highest per-pupil expenditure in the country. That figure also is significantly higher than most private school tuitions. So why are so many schools still failing?

One reason: The public school system is drowning in bureaucracy. And bureaucrats get paid before teachers—and before students get new textbooks.

Ben Scafidi at Kennesaw State University has studied the concept of administrative bloat in the K-12 public education system extensively. He found that between 1950 and 2015, the student population at public schools had grown roughly 100%. During that same time period, teaching staff had grown 243%.

Although that disproportionate growth in the number of teachers compared to the growth in student population is shocking enough, that is hardly his biggest finding. During that same time period, “administrators and other staff” in the public school system grew 709%.

An increase in administrative staff exceeding 700% compared to just a 100% increase in students seems to be a far more likely answer to why heavily funded public schools appear to lack resources than the choices of some parents to seek out the best education options available for their children.

Throughout “Nice White Parents,” Joffe-Walt details examples of parents’ getting involved in the day-to-day operation of the school, and paints this involvement as affront to public schooling.

In Episode 1, for example, she describes how when “white parents” came into the school, many wanted their children to learn French, yet no French classes were offered. The parents formed a committee, held fundraisers, collaborated with administrators, and got their French program.

This is problematic, according to “Nice White Parents,” because a French program strays from the cultural needs of the majority-minority population of the school.

This scenario is exactly why every family needs school choice. There never will be a one-size-fits-all public school system that will offer the foreign language needs and wants of every family, nor other such demands.

The New York Times and the makers of “Nice White Parents” argue that the solution to the different wants and needs of families is to ignore the wishes of parents altogether and let education bureaucrats decide what is best for their children.

School choice proponents, by contrast, believe that every family in America should be empowered to choose an education option that is custom fit for their child’s needs. Through programs such as vouchers or education savings accounts, every family would be financially empowered to make that decision. Students do better when their parents are actively engaged in their education.

A podcast attacking parental autonomy is bad enough. But the fact that The New York Times attacks parents of a particular race for executing their autonomy is worse. “Nice White Parents” isn’t just troubling, it’s wrong, and an affront to American ideals.

Ultimately, this hurts all children because “Nice White Parents” racializes the failure of the public schools, hurting the students who are trapped there and don’t have the resources to flee the public system.

There has got to be some accountability for the failure of the public system. The New York Times’ use of a racist canard to avoid systemic culpability for failing these kids isn’t going to cut it.

A Note for our Readers:

Democratic Socialists say, “America should be more like socialist countries such as Sweden and Denmark.” And millions of young people believe them…

For years, “Democratic Socialists” have been growing a crop of followers that include students and young professionals. America’s future will be in their hands.

How are socialists deluding a whole generation? One of their most effective arguments is that “democratic socialism” is working in Scandinavian countries like Sweden and Norway. They claim these countries are “proof” that socialism will work for America. But they’re wrong. And it’s easy to explain why.

Our friends at The Heritage Foundation just published a new guide that provides three irrefutable facts that debunks these myths. For a limited time, they’re offering it to readers of The Daily Signal for free.

School Choice Shines This Week

School choice was a policy star this week at the Republican National Convention. President Donald Trump capped off the week by stating his desire to “expand charter schools and provide school choice for every family in America” during his speech Thursday night, the final night of the convention.

A slate of speakers throughout the week made impassioned cases for school choice, including Rebecca Friedrichs, famous for bringing a legal challenge to the forced collection of union dues. Her effort resulted in the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of teacher freedom in the case of Janus v. American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., also made powerful arguments for education freedom. Scott called a good education “the closest thing we have to magic in America… When a parent has a choice, a kid has a better chance.”

On Wednesday, Tera Myers, an Ohio mother who helped launch that state’s school choice program for children with special needs, spoke about how life-changing school choice had been for her son, who has Down’s syndrome.

The teachers’ unions were none too pleased. American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten tweeted in part, “Tonight we heard over and over about ‘school choice.’ This is their way [of] pushing to defund public ed.”

Her tweet begs the question: Why would giving parents a choice defund public education?Implicit in her tweet is the recognition that given an option, many parents would chose something other than their child’s assigned district school.

There are numerous policy changes Congress could make to advance school choice immediately, recognizing the particular urgency of the moment (most public schools across the country are still closed to in-person instruction). That includes:

1. Repurposing Existing Federal Programs

There are dozens of federal programs that are ineffective and inappropriate for Washington to manage. Instead of those dollars flowing to district public schools that are largely closed, Congress should redirect funding for those programs to families to use at an education option of choice.

There are many to choose from, including:

  • Supporting Effective Instruction (Title II, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act)—which would yield $2.13 billion per year for education choice.
  • Teacher and School Leader Incentives Fund (Title II, Part B)—$200 million per year.
  • Literacy for All (Title II, Part B)—$192 million per year.
  • Student Support and Academic Enrichment (Title IV, Part A)—$1.2 billion per year.
  • 21st Century Community Learning Centers (Title IV, Part B)—$1.2 billion per year.
  • Education Innovation and Research Grants (Title IV, Part F)—$190 million per year.

2. Allowing Portability of Title I and Individuals With Disabilities Education Act Dollars

To help students with special needs and children from low-income families, Congress should allow Title I dollars and funding from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act to follow students to learning options of choice.

For example, public schools receive $13.5 billion annually in federal the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act funding for students with special needs, ages three to 21. Federal policymakers could do a better job of serving these students by allowing them and their parents to access micro-education savings accounts worth approximately $2,000 per year, carved out of those existing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act funds.

Similarly, the design of the federal Title I program for low-income students has become cumbersome and obsolete, with distributions today having little connection to district-level poverty. Congress should allow states to make their Title I dollars portable, following a child from a low-income family to a private school or education option of choice.

3. Creating School Choice for Populations That Congress Is Directly Responsible for Educating

Finally, for education purposes, specific populations of students fall under the jurisdiction of Congress. That include children from active duty military families, Native American students living on tribal lands, and children residing within the District of Columbia—a federal city. Congress should provide education options for these populations.

That includes providing education savings accounts to military-connected children, education savings accounts to Native American children living on tribal lands, and transforming the Washington, D.C., into an all-choice district through expansion of the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program.

States Should Lead Charge to Expand Education Choice

Most importantly, states should heed the call to advance education choice. COVID-19 has demonstrated how ill-prepared districts were to meet the needs of students when the pandemic hit. Six months later, most remain closed to in-person instruction, leaving children without access to their schools and friends.

It doesn’t have to be this way. American taxpayers spend more than $700 billion per year on K-12 education. If that money funded children directly instead of defaulting to a district school system, families could have maintained education continuity by directing dollars to learning options that were open, or to private tutors, learning pods, online education, micro-schools, and homeschooling co-ops. But the inflexible nature of the existing system precludes that.

States should be doing everything they can right now to provide emergency education savings accounts to families.

WATCH LIVE: Tens of Thousands Rally Against COVID-19 Restrictions in Berlin after Ban Overturned

Ruptly has posted a live feed of tens of thousands of Germans rallying against COVID-19 restrictions.

Ruptly is live from Berlin on Saturday, August 29, as protesters skeptical of the government’s coronavirus measures are expected to gather for a rally. Thousands had signed up to attend the rally against coronavirus measures before it was banned by city authorities over health concerns. This decision was later overturned by the city’s administrative court, which allowed the rally to go ahead under the condition that social distancing measures should be respected by participants. A counter-protest by opposing groups is also expected to take place. German Chancellor Angela Merkel originally announced a series of measures in March, in order to curb the spread of coronavirus. The measures have been gradually eased nationwide, however in the past weeks the number of new infections has significantly increased.

WATCH: Catholic, Pro-life Student Nicholas Sandmann’s ‘I Fought Back Hard’ Speech at the RNC

PBS NewsHour reported:

Nicholas Sandmann, a Covington Catholic High School student whose viral encounter during a March for Life rally was the subject of lawsuits against national media organizations, spoke on the second night of the Republican National Convention on Aug. 25, 2020. Sandmann’s family, which claimed that his interaction with a Native American activist was misrepresented in media coverage, reached settlements with CNN and The Washington Post over how they portrayed the incident. Nathan Phillips, the Native American activist featured in the viral moment, said the heated exchange initially began between the Catholic students and a group of Black men who identified themselves as Hebrew Israelites. Phillips has told news outlets he stepped in to disperse the tension by praying. The party planned a mix of virtual and in-person events in North Carolina and Washington, D.C., for its nominating convention after the coronavirus pandemic interrupted plans for a traditional nominating event.

Twitter Suspends Conservative Satire Site

In case you hadn’t heard, Twitter recently suspended our account. In an email to us, they claimed we violated their rules against “platform manipulation and spam.” The email included a warning that that if we tried to open another account, that new account would be suspended, too.

We published screenshots of the email and our suspended Twitter page, and called on our followers to make some noise. We started trending almost immediately and Twitter responded by reinstating us, saying we’d been suspended “by mistake.” So we’re back on Twitter, at least for the time being. But we share the concerns of others who’ve rightly observed that these “mistakes” tend to work in one direction.

We’re grateful to have followers who aren’t afraid to speak up and hold these big tech companies accountable. But there are no guarantees. We couldn’t be sure they’d reinstate our account. And we can’t know if they will the next time they make a “mistake.” But we can do our best to prepare for a worst-case scenario. At least we can if we have your help.

When we first launched our subscription service, the primary reason we gave for supporting us was to help us become less dependent on big tech companies. We explained:

We depend on Facebook and Twitter to drive traffic, and Google Ads to monetize it. Without these networks, we’d have no revenue to cover our expenses. And as you’re probably aware, none of these companies are friendly to Christians or conservatives. In fact, that’s a severe understatement. The control these companies exercise—and the outright hostility they display toward those with more traditional views and values—has us deeply concerned about our future as a publisher of Christian satire. But here’s the thing: If just a small fraction of our readers become paid subscribers, we’d have enough funding to survive without running ads, effectively eliminating our dependence on these big tech companies.

The more subscribers we have, the less we have to worry about our dependence on Twitter and the other big tech companies. If you want to see us prevail against Twitter, Snopes, and anyone else who might seek to discredit or deplatform us, please consider becoming a subscriber. Your support will make a difference.

From our whole team, thank you for your consideration and support.
