North Carolina: Anti-Israel ‘Progressive’ Muslim Congressional Candidate Hopes to Become New ‘Squad’ Member

In 2015, the semi-demented Craig Hicks shot three of his neighbors because he believed they were using parking spaces to which they were not entitled. All three were Muslims. But he had a history of berating non-Muslims, too, over both parking spaces and making noise. His wife of seven years testified that  he had never spoken ill of Muslims, never denounced them, never expressed hostility to the ideology of Islam, on social media or anywhere else. In fact, he was anti-Christian, and on his Facebook page wrote: “Knowing several dozen Muslims…I’d prefer them to most Christians.” The police said there was no evidence of a “hate crime.” The prosecutor could come up with no evidence of a “hate crime.” But none of that mattered, or matters, to North Carolina Congressional candidate Nida Allam.

Allam has been  milking this non-existent hate crime for all it’s worth. Her website Nida For Congress includes this: “After three of her dear friends were murdered in 2015 — a case that drew national attention and triggered calls for stronger hate crime legislation — Nida Allam took to politics.”

She was spurred to run for office  because of the “hate crime” against “three of her dear friends.” Allam is not in the race to further her own wellbeing. Not at all. Personal aggrandizement, power and money and fame — these hold no attractions for the self-effacing Nida Allam. She has girded her loins and entered the political arena in answer to a higher call.  She wants to fight against the “hate crimes” that she insists took her friends’ lives.

She has a video at her Nida For Congress website, about her decision to run. Here’s a transcript of part of it:

I was 21 years old when three of my best friends were killed.

Deah, Yusor, and Razan, brutally murdered in a hate crime that shook our community to the core. My lie was shattered but I knew I couldn’t let their legacy die. I looked for ways to fight against the  hate that took my friends  to make sure that no one would have to experience the pain that we [Muslims] endured , to make sure that we [Muslims] could live with dignity and without fear.

I never set out to make history, but sometimes life has different plans [inshallah fatalism]..  It wasn’t just racism and hate that we faced….my service was born out of tragedy…I’m ready to take my passion and my experience [one year as County Commissioner] to the halls of Congress. I’ve been told that I don’t belong, that I ought to wait my turn, but North Carolina can’t wait….I’m Nida Allam, and I’m running for Congress because Congress can’t wait.

Goodness me. So Congress “can’t wait” for the appearance of Nida Allam, who is just like Mighty Mouse, “Here I come,  to save the day/That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way.” She does have a whole list of what she intends to accomplish. Most impressive. Nida Allam has a jobs program because  “everyone deserves a good paying job.” She wants to fight climate change, because “Black, brown, and working class communities are on the front lines of this crisis.” She has a health care platform: “Everyone deserves comprehensive high-quality healthcare coverage that includes primary care, vision, hearing, dental, mental health care, reproductive health care, and more.” Sounds good to me. She has a housing plan: “Housing is a human right, and all of our neighbors deserve a safe and stable place to live.” “Education? “Every child deserves a quality public school education.” And so on and so mindlessly forth. Foreign policy? “We need to end our ‘so-called war on terror.’”

She never mentions Israel in her “Nida Allam For Congress” website. A curious but understandable admission – Nida may be a fool, but she’s “no fool,” given that this past May, amid escalating violence between Israel and Hamas, Allam participated in a pro-Palestinian rally where protestors chanted slogans such as “Israel is an apartheid state” and “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” the latter of which is correctly understood to be a call to eliminate Israel. In a live video she posted to her Facebook page on May 22, Allam appears to have been chanting that line along with her fellow protestors.

A week earlier, Allam attended a May 15 demonstration in downtown Raleigh marking the annual date of the ‘Nakba’ when Palestinians mark the war of 1948.

Following the May 15 rally, the Jewish Community Relations Council and the Jewish Federation of Raleigh-Cary released a statement identifying alleged instances of “antisemitic rhetoric” used by some demonstrators, including “posters combining Israeli and Nazi imagery.” One poster, the statement said, featured then-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Benjamin “wearing a Hitler moustache,” while another declared, “Israel, Hitler would be proud of you.”

For her part, Allam denounced what she described as “ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and murder of children” in comments to a local newspaper reporter at the event.

Near the beginning of the May conflict, Allam released a statement of her own calling for a wholesale cessation of U.S. military aid to Israel, which is guaranteed in annual installments of $3.8 billion through a memorandum of understanding between the two countries. “We must end this negligent spending that is being used to oppress the Palestinian people,” Allam wrote, echoing the sentiments of a handful of far-left lawmakers in the House who have argued in favor of conditioning or eliminating aid to the Jewish state.

“I condemn all violence in this conflict and urge the United States to acknowledge our complacency in the continuing Israel-Palestine conflict,” Allam argued at the time.

In June 2018, after reports that the U.S. had quietly frozen aid to the Palestinian Authority, Allam weighed in with an incendiary Twitter comment. “This is the United States of Israel.”

Peter Riezes has reported on Nida Allam’s candidacy here:

Nida Allam, a 27-year-old progressive activist and Durham, North Carolina County Commissioner, announced last week that she will run for the Congressional seat of retiring Rep. David Price (D-NC).

I first researched Allam during her 2019 campaign for County Commissioner, due to her anti-Israel positions. What I found was a history of abhorrent statements that extended far beyond Israel.

In 2018, Allam tweeted, “This is the United States of Israel,” which is consistent with centuries-old antisemitic propaganda that Jews seek to dominate the world.

In 2013, Allam tweeted, “F*** the police,” and she has made many offensive and hateful posts over the years.

I spoke with award-winning Durham columnist and Black minister, Carl W. Kenney II, who told me that Allam’s use of the N-word in a 2014 tweet is “appalling.”

When asked if it matters that Allam’s tweet is from 2014, Kenney responded:

I think it speaks to character issues. I think it speaks to a lack of sensitivity. We have a person who has a desire to run for US Congress at 27…What has she done in building relationships with the Black community to help soothe the pain connected to making that type of statement? … I’m not comfortable that she’s learned a lesson.

When asked about Allam’s “F*** the police” tweet, Kenney told me that while he understands the anger, “In Durham, we’re not one to say ‘f*** the police.’ We want to say we want to work with the police.”

Allam was at the time pressuring  the Durham police to end their training arrangement with the Israeli police, falsely claiming that such training “militarized” the Durham Police Force.

“I met with Kenney via Zoom and asked if it is acceptable that I — someone who is not Black — cite Allam’s N-word tweet in this column as a warning to the public. Kenney responded, “You have an obligation to do that. … For people to fully understand what we are talking about, they need to have it in its original form.”

Here’s Allam’s unseemly tweet: “Kid in front of me is in a group text called “United N*gga Network.’ Where do I apply?”

In 2019, Allam tweeted a picture of herself standing with a Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) sign. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) describes JVP as “a radical anti-Israel activist group that advocates for a complete economic, cultural and academic boycott of the state of Israel.”…

Allam has repeatedly promoted her close ties with noted antisemite Linda Sarsour, calling Sarsour “my shero, role-model, mentor, and so much more.”

Sarsour has been widely criticized for advocating for the destruction of Israel via the BDS movement and other means, saying “Nothing is creepier than Zionism,” and advising Muslims not to “humanize” Israelis.

Earlier this year, Black constituents and politicians strongly criticized Allam and two other Durham commissioners for what was viewed by many as racially divisive policies.

“There is a sense in the Black community that she [Allam] is among the politicians here who doesn’t really talk to Black people” Kenny [sic] told me. “They have an idea of what is best for Black people without actually engaging in the conversation. That’s a problem.”

On his widely read blog, Kenney warns: “If Allam has her way, the race for Congress will not be determined by local Black voters. It will be won by the support of the national media and progressive politicians desirous of an addition to The Squad — joining Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).”…

Just hours after Allam announced her run for Congress, Ilhan Omar tweeted, “Let’s go Nida!”; Keith Ellison tweeted, “Great Candidate”; and Linda Sarsour retweeted Allam’s campaign announcement….

Nida Allam’s campaign received $115,000 in donations in just the first day it opened. Muslims from all over the country sent money, eager to add one more anti-Israel voice to Congress,  provide  another potential collaborator of Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, another member of the Squad. No doubt CAIR is out fundraising for her, raising money among Muslims across the country who are relentlessly focused on increasing Muslim power in Washington. This would-be squadette needs to be stopped in her tracks, or headed off at the pass, preferably by an African-American candidate who will make good use of Allam’s “United N*gga Network” tweet,  and of her palpable want of interest, according to the columnist and black minister Carl Kenney II, in African-Americans.

According to her website, the essence of Nida Allam is that she is “working for a brighter future.” What a fantastic idea. Really, who could disagree?

Enough is Enough

Don’t be deceived. At no point in history have the people forcing others into compliance been the good guys.

Have you ever reached the point when you just yell out “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?”

Daily we are bombarded with the failures of Biden and his administration’s policies. But worse we are reminded how the press and Democrats treated President Trump and Americans from 2016 to 2020. For example:

  1. Democrats labeled Judge Brett Kavanaugh a rapist.
  2. Democrats and the media repeatedly said Donald J. Trump won in 2016 only because he colluded with the Kremlin. We know how that turned out with Hillary actually being the one who colluded with the Russians.
  3. The media attacked Nick Sandmann, the boy from Covington Catholic High School, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, as an entitled white bigot. They slandered him and called him unspeakable names for just smiling.
  4. Democrats and the media repeatedly said Donald J. Trump labeled the neo-Nazis at Charlottesville as “good people.” When in fact he did not.
  5. Remember the 2020 riots where cities and towns across America were set afire, looted and people attacked? The media and Democrats said that these brutal riots were “mostly peaceful.” How is looting and burning down buildings peaceful? This reminds me of George Orwell’s 1984 quote, “War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.
  6. How about Democrats, and the media, lying that unarmed black men are routinely shot in huge numbers by police officers. The fact is more blacks are shot and killed by other blacks.
  7. And after the discovery of Hunter Biden’s laptop Democrats and the media said it was a “Russian plot.” Yeah right.

Today Democrats are calling Kyle Rittenhouse a domestic terrorist and white supremacist for defending himself against those who wished him harm.

Have you had enough yet? Are you ready to yell out enough is enough?

Enough is Enough

Since Biden’s inauguration we have seen lie after lie. We have seen the blame for the failures of Biden’s Build Back Better agenda placed upon others (e.g. higher gas prices are due to “price gouging” but not Biden’s shutting down the fossil fuels industry). Remember Biden’s tweet where he said, “My Build Back Better Agenda costs zero dollars.” Well so far its $1.7 trillion with a reconciliation bill in the Democrat House and Senate with a price tag of $3.5 trillion.

Let’s go down a short list of Biden’s “Build Back Better” Big Lies:

  1. The Coordinated Attack on Ivermectin is a Crime Against Humanity.
  2. Afghanistan pull out.
  3. Unvetted Afghan immigration crisis.
  4. Southern Border Crisis.
  5. Stagflation in the American economy. Gas is up 43%, Energy costs are up 25%, Rent is up 9%, Bacon is up 28%.
  6. Tyranny in the form of “mandates.” Get vaxxed or else!
  7. Rising gas and oil prices.
  8. The working class’ jobs threatened if they don’t get vaxxed.
  9. The “tax the rich mantra” of Biden and the Democrat Party.
  10. The increase in taxes on every working American.
  11. The attempt at raising the national debt to pay for massive spending bills (i.e. infrastructure).
  12. The continuing efforts to use Covid to shut down the economy.
  13. The continuing efforts to brainwash our public school, college and university students on the goodness of Communism.
  14. The racial hate created using the BLM/Antifa “white privilege” campaign.
  15. The growing scientific data showing that Covid vaccine shots are harming and in some cases killing large numbers of Americans.
  16. The anti-fossil fuels Green New Deal efforts to fundamentally transform American’s use of all forms of energy.
  17. Biden’s support to defund the police, anti-Border Patrol and anti-law enforcement policies.
  18. Biden’s anti-guns anti-self defense and anti-Second Amendment policies.
  19. The radicalization of the Democrat Party and its move toward Communism in the U.S.A.
  20. Biden’s policies to fundamentally transform our public schools into propaganda outlets for big government and centers to force Critical Race Theory on children, without parental consent.
  21. More to be determined…

Conclusion

In my column “The Democrats elected a joke and now the world is laughing. But the joke is now on them” I wrote:

Everyone is now laughing at the Biden administration. Biden and his handlers (he has handlers because he is incompetent) are the laughing stock of the whole world.

What is even sadder is that his policies and political positions are now harming working class Americans. Consumer confidence has now reached a 22 year low. It has not been this low since the DotCom implosion under Bill Clinton.

Today the Biden administration’s operative word is “mandate.” Biden is forcing Americans to get Vaxxed. But what about those who get vaxxed and either, get sick, have long term health issues, get Covid and die? Now the FDA doesn’t want to publish data on the vaccines for 50 years. I wonder why?

Political satire has now become public policy under Biden. But is anyone laughing? We think not. People are waking up and we are seeing civil disobedience protests against Biden and his policies growing, not just in the U.S. but globally.

Biden is just another in a long line of tax and spend big government socialists. From FDR to Carter to Clinton to Obama. They’re all birds of a feather who flock together to tax the rich and every single working American to death. Some have even characterized the Biden administration as Obama 2.0!

In the “Nuremberg Diary” by Gustave M. Gilbert, a psychologist who had access to the prisoners during the trials, Gilbert describes a discussion with Goering on how a government may force people to go to war, to which Goering responded:

“…It is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship.”

Biden is dragging the American people along to a new Reich. A Fourth Reich. If you don’t see this then your  ignorance is your strength!

My dear fellow Americans gird your loins. Pray! Our only hope is to retake one or both houses of Congress in 2022.

If we don’t then Biden’s Fourth Reich will become a reality.

Former Architect of American Abortion Industry Speaks Out Against It

One-time notorious abortion doctor and key architect of the abortion movement, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, is speaking from the grave. His message: Embrace life.

Over the weekend, author Terry Beatley spoke at a local right-to-life event here in South Florida. Beatley had met with Nathanson in 2009 (about a year before he died), and he gave her a charge to continue spreading the pro-life message. He told her, “teach the strategy of how I deceived America” to accept abortion.

Nathanson’s message is most relevant these days, as the U. S. Supreme Court is possibly rethinking its infamous abortion decision from 1973, Roe v. Wade.

Bernard Nathanson, M.D. performed or oversaw some 75,000 abortions. After his conversion to the pro-life side—initially as an atheist, then later as a Catholic—he wrote the book, Aborting America, and made the film, “The Silent Scream.”

The recent 2021 film, Roe v. Wade, told the story of the push for abortion from Nathanson’s point of view. I saw a sneak peek of the entire film— watching the whole thing at my desk for two hours, mesmerized.

Nathanson was the “abortion king.” He was the architect of the abortion industry. He co-founded NARAL, which initially was called the National Association to Repeal Abortion Laws (now, National Abortion Rights Action League).

When Beatley met with Nathanson in his New York City home, it changed the trajectory of her life. He basically asked her to tell America how they sold abortion to us through a series of deceptions. She has since created the “Hosea Initiative,” based on the Bible verse in which God says, “My people perish for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).

Beatley tells the story in her 2016 book, What If We’ve Been Wrong? Keeping My Promise to America’s “Abortion King.” Dr. Richard Land, president emeritus of Southern Evangelical Seminary, notes, “Dr. Bernard Nathanson left a very important mission for Terry Beatley.”

I interviewed Beatley on my radio show, exploring what Nathanson relayed to her.

She told me: “Dr. Bernard Nathanson is not just one of many former abortionists. I think one of the main things we should know is that he’s the father of the abortion industry in America. The idea of ambulatory, in-out, same-day service surgery abortions. That was a fairly new concept that he master-minded. This idea of having these so-called ’clinics‘ set up all across the United States.”

Beatley goes on, “After he initiated eight points of propaganda to deceive Americans and the courts of our land, Dr. Nathanson ended up becoming 100 percent, unequivocally pro-life. That was as an atheist, and later he became a child of God on December 8, 1996…It’s a story that every American should know.” Nathanson was baptized without fanfare at St. Patrick’s Cathedral after his conversion.

In his book, The Abortion Papers (1983), Nathanson wrote, “I believe that an America which permits a junta of moral thugs to foist an evil of incalculable dimensions upon it, and continues to permit that evil to flower, creates for itself a deadly legacy: a millennium of shame.”

Beatley relates the main points of Nathanson’s erstwhile strategy to deceive America, the first being: “They framed the debate, and they framed it around the word ‘choose.’” The use of euphemism, concealing the killing of a child under the positive word “choice,” was highly effective.

She continues with other points of Nathanson’s strategy: “They used the complicit media because Nathanson was quick to realize that most of the reporters were young and female, and he would tell them almost anything…and they would believe anything he’d tell them.”

And what did he tell them? “He’d tell them fabricated facts, i.e., lies. He would say that a million women a year were having back alley abortions. And 5,000-10,000 women a year were dying due to complications. Those were bald-faced lies.”

How else did Nathanson, by his own account, deceive America into accepting baby-killing? “Dr. Nathanson would say that 60 percent of Americans wanted abortion on demand legalized….The real percentage was one-tenth of one percent.”

Other parts of the strategy included:

  • Repeating the lies again and again so they become accepted as true.
  • Working to decriminalize abortion since many people assume something is acceptable if it is legal.
  • Implementing what they called “the Catholic strategy.” The overall goal was to neutralize and divide a major foe of the abortion industry–including massive support for “pro-choice Catholic” politicians.

Many of these lies are still with us. America has been sold a bill of goods by the abortion industry. We must admit, sadly, that too many Americans have unthinkingly bought them.

Beatley says Nathanson’s final charge was: “Love one another. Abortion is not love. Stop the killing. The world needs more love.” This story reminds me of the line: A lie travels half-way around the world, while truth is still putting on its boots.

OSHA & The Power To Mandate Vaccines.

Todays blog comes courtesy of a dear friend and true patriot, KrisAnne Hall. Many of you will know her and the work she does teaching the constitution nationally. She was an active member of the SAF and many patriot groups. Enjoy! Learn! Share! Comment!

OSHA And The Power to Mandate Vaccines

Recently the United States Federal Court for the 5th Circuit held that the federal agency, Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA), cannot lawfully mandate vaccines on American businesses while a trial concerning the matter is pending.  The majority opinion establishes that this mandate is “staggeringly overbroad” and the “loss of constitutional freedoms ‘for even minimal periods of time…unquestionably constitutes irreparable injury.’”

What The Court’s Opinion Means for The Rest of America?

During the Trump Administration, the Senate confirmed federal judges for the 5th Circuit making that circuit one of the most “conservative” courts in the federal court system.  The 5th Circuit was the perfect court, from a constitutional perspective, to hear this issue.  Other circuits, namely the 9th Circuit, would likely find, under the same conditions, a completely different result.

The federal court system is divided into twelve circuits that divide the States into twelve legal districts.  Each federal district court holds a binding authority in federal issues over the lower federal courts of that district.  Under normal circumstances, the 5th Circuit opinion would put a halt to OSHA enforcing the mandate in every district, so as to act in the abundance of caution; but, we are not operating under normal circumstances.  Since this presidential administration is already refusing to comply with court orders it doesn’t agree with, there should be no surprise when they treat this order with the same contempt.  Additionally, the main objective of this administration has not been to uphold the Constitution, but to force this vaccine on as many people as they can convince or bully into taking before the Supreme Court legal hammer falls. Because the 5th Circuit opinion is only legally binding in the 5th Circuit courts, OSHA could legally continue to enforce the mandate within the States located in the other districts.

The Supreme Court Will Have to Settle The Issue

Now that the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals has been assigned the task of resolving the other suits against OSHA, the Supreme Court will ultimately be tasked with settling any disputes or hearing any appeals. The OSHA vaccine mandate question will have to be answered by the Supreme Court to have finality and possibly the respect of this administration.  The question then becomes, “How will this particular Supreme Court decide this case?”

The issue of an OSHA vaccine mandate will definitely test the so called “conservative” justices; this will likely be a 5-4 split opinion — the only question being, in which direction?  In my opinion we can almost guarantee which way several of the justices will cast their vote.  If past opinions dictate future trends, we can be guaranteed that Sotomayor, Kagan, and Breyer will cast their vote in favor of any government mandate issued by the Biden Administration.  If past opinions dictate future trends, I believe we can be equally guaranteed that Neil Gorsuch will vote against this mandate.  That leaves the justices that many believe to be “conservatives:” Roberts, Kavanaugh, Barrett, Thomas, and Alito.

If I had to make a prediction based upon experience, I would say that Roberts is more likely to side with the liberals than with Gorsuch.  Not necessarily because he is a liberal in disguise (and he is), but because Roberts is a corporate courtier; he almost always sides with the big money.  I also believe, in spite of Thomas’s occasional tendency toward the police powers of government, that Thomas will side with Gorsuch.  I believe that Thomas will feel a greater pull to his Constitutional tendencies than his “security over liberty” leanings.  Justice Alito’s tendency is to follow either Thomas or Gorsuch.  Since I am predicting that Thomas and Gorsuch will be on the same side, I will put Alito in the group that will vote against the mandate.  That leaves just Kavanaugh and Barrett.  What made be unknown to many conservatives in America, unless they were watching my podcast during Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing, Kavanaugh is NOT a consistent constitutionalist.  During the confirmation hearings I warned that Kavanaugh is most aptly described as “Kennedy 2.0” and he has lived up to that title so far.  He is a moderate at best who leans conservative on some issues and liberal on others.  In this case I will, with hesitancy, predict that Kavanaugh will lean conservative.  With these predictions we now have a 4-4 court that leaves only Barrett to break the tie.

Many conservatives would be overjoyed with that conclusion, believing that Barrett is not only a conservative, but someone who would choose the Constitutional and Religious Liberty option to deny the mandate.  Unfortunately, nothing in Barrett’s term of service in the Supreme Court or her previous legal experience supports that conclusion.  During Barrett’s confirmation hearing, the American people were told that Barrett was a constitutional, religious liberty nominee.  Other than being a devout educated Catholic, nothing in Barrett’s history establishes that she is either constitutional or religious liberty minded.  Barrett is a slave to precedent.  She will mindlessly adhere to whatever the court has established in the past, right or wrong.  Since she has become a Supreme Court Justice, Barrett has sided with the liberal justices on some of the most important cases.  I am not comfortable with Barrett being the tie breaker on what could be the most important Supreme Court issue of my lifetime.  Will she side with the errantly portrayed precedent of Jacobsen?  Or will she side with the Constitution and the rights of the people?

What Is the Most Certain Solution To This OSHA Overreach?

The uncertainty and the tendency of the courts to be personally biased in their opinions is the reason why the courts are not the ultimate or final check and balance of federal gourmandizing of power.  Those who ratified our Constitution and designed our Constitutional Republic were repulsed by the notion that the federal government itself would be its only check and balance.  The designed ultimate and final check on the federal government exercise of authority is and always has been the people through their States.  Thomas Jefferson (18120 explained it this way:

…when all government, domestic and foreign, in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the centre of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another…If the States look with apathy on this silent descent of their government into the gulf which is to swallow all, we have only to weep over the human character formed uncontrollable but by a rod of iron…

The design of our Constitutional Republic created a most powerful check on the federal authority through the power of the State to refuse to comply with unlawful federal laws, regulations, and executive orders.  Proponents of the Constitution made multiple arguments regarding the authority of the States to be the ultimate limit upon the federal government when that government steps outside the specifically enumerated and delegated powers of the Constitution.  Hamilton’s explanation may have been one of the most influential since he was the one arguing for federal power, yet explaining that even the power he proposed was limited by the Constitution to be enforced by the States.  Alexander Hamilton expressed the basis for this check by the States in Federalist 78:

There is no position which depends on clearer principles, than that every act of a delegated authority, contrary to the tenor of the commission under which it is exercised, is void.  No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid.

Hamilton’s explanation is a direct reference to Article 6 clause 2 of the Constitution that declares that when the federal government makes laws that are inconsistent with the Constitution, “the judges of the State” are not bound to them.  When the judges of the States are not bound, no one in the State is bound; those laws, regulations, and executive orders are “null and void.”  There is no authority delegated to the federal government to exercise an Occupational Safety and Health Association within the boundaries of the States.  Without a specifically enumerated delegation of power to do so, the federal government’s assertion of power is invalid.

Florida is exercising this State authority to check and balance unconstitutional federal power as it begins to separate the State from federal OSHA authority altogether.  Florida is making moves to refuse OSHA authority and regulations and create their own State agency that will fill that gap.  There are some in the federal government who profess, like political activist lawyer Ron Coleman, that it is outside Florida’s authority to deny OSHA in their State.  For people like Coleman, that errant understanding of State authority and professed unlimited power of the federal government is the product of one hundred eighty-eight years of bad education sparked by federal supremacists and certain political activist Supreme Court Justices.  People like Coleman have decided to set aside the true design of the Constitution and the facts regarding its proper application as dictated by those who actually wrote the document, in favor of an ideology that the federal government itself is its only limit to power, and the courts can alter and expand federal power through judicial opinions contrary to Article V of the Constitution.  This progressive ideology flies in the face of every agreement made to ratify the Constitution, every limit to power designed by the Constitution, and the very principles of separation of powers instituted to ensure that the people are the governors over government and not subjects to rogue federal agencies.  Coleman’s assertion, and those who agree with him, that the “commerce clause” is some kind of boilerplate phrase that endows upon the federal government the authority to create for itself unlimited authority over every aspect of life as long as they can somehow bootstrap a “money” argument to it cannot find any justification in the Constitution or the writings of those who created that Compact.  No to mention Coleman’s argument was brilliantly defeated by James Madison in 1792 (see the Cod Fisher Debate, also see Federalist #45).

The only sure solution to ending federal vaccine mandates will be when the States decide to exercise the powers reserved to them as enshrined in the Tenth Amendment.  That will mean that the people in the States must get educated and demand that our States start behaving more like the “independent sovereign governments” the Supreme Court in NFIB v. Sebelius recognized them to be and less like the subservient colonies that Coleman and his political and educational aristocrats want them to be.

If you would like to understand the principles of limited federal power and the State check and balance as the founders created them, please consider joining LibertyFirstSociety.com and learn from the founders themselves instead of activist professors.

Did A Christian Just Blow Himself Up for Jesus?

Video: Robert Spencer on OAN on the Liverpool ‘Christian’ jihad suicide bombing.

My latest in PJ Media:

On Sunday morning in Britain, just as the nation was preparing to observe a moment of silence for Remembrance Day, a taxicab pulled up in front of Liverpool Women’s Hospital and exploded into flames. Moments later, the cab driver, David Perry, who had run out of the car, explained that he had noticed that his passenger, who turned out to be an Iraqi migrant named Emad Jamil Al Swealmeen, was wearing an explosive belt, so he locked the cab, whereupon Swealmeen exploded his bomb inside it.

This would be an unfortunately standard story of jihad terrorism were it not for a strange detail. Swealmeen converted to Christianity in 2017, in the same cathedral he had apparently planned to attack: he initially asked Perry to drive him to the Anglican cathedral in Liverpool, but traffic was heavy, and so he opted to go to Liverpool Women’s Hospital instead.

Islamic apologists have made much of Swealmeen’s conversion to Christianity, as it apparently validates their claim that terrorists are not prompted to commit acts of violence by religious teachings, but by poverty or desperation or psychological problems or some combination of the three. That certainly seems to be true in Swealmeen’s case, at least at first glance, since he seems to have renounced Islam and its promise of paradise to those who “kill and are killed” for Allah (Qur’an 9:111) back in 2017.

Malcolm Hitchott, who with his wife Elizabeth hosted Swealmeen in their home for eight months when he first arrived in Britain, recounted: “He first came to the cathedral in August 2015 and wanted to convert to Christianity. He took an Alpha Course, which explains the Christian faith, and completed it in November of that year. That enabled him to come to an informed decision and he changed from Islam to Christianity and was confirmed as a Christian just before he came to live with us. He was destitute at that time and we took him in.” Elizabeth recalled that he was a wonderful fellow: “We just loved him, he was a lovely guy.” Obviously.

His conversion, however, may not have been sincere. Christian Today reported back in January 2017 that in Germany, “migrants increase their chances of winning asylum in Germany if they are able to prove that they would face persecution if sent home to a Muslim country….They can do this by showing proof that they are Christian or have converted to Christianity.” Dr. Gottfried Martens of Trinity Lutheran Church in Berlin noted that “some Muslims come to his church and express interest in Christianity just to improve their chances of getting their asylum request approved.”

Asylum seekers in Britain have also shown that they know how to game the system: they claim to be Christian or gay and that they would therefore face persecution back home if their asylum claim was denied. But as soon as their application is approved, they return to Islam and/or heterosexuality.

There is more. Read the rest here.

Biden Treasury Nominee Saule Omarova Was Once Arrested For Shoplifting At TJ Maxx, Police Records Show

President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) was arrested for allegedly shoplifting merchandise at a TJ Maxx, according to a police report.

Cornell Law School professor Saule Omarova, who Biden picked to head the OCC in September, was arrested in 1995 for an alleged retail theft of $214 in TJ Maxx merchandise, according to police records posted by the American Accountability Foundation, a conservative watchdog group. Her arrest had previously been reported by Fox News, but the police report offers new details on the incident.

She asked to pay for the items, and cooperated fully with the security guard, according to the report. Her charges were later dropped through Wisconsin’s first offender program, Fox News reported.

Omarova’s Senate Banking Committee hearing is scheduled for Thursday, and she is likely to meet stiff opposition from Republicans who have harshly criticized her policy positions. She has called for the federal government to “bankrupt” the oil and gas industry in order to address climate change, and has also refused to hand over her thesis titled “Karl Marx’s Economic Analysis and the Theory of Revolution” to members of the banking committee.

Omarova also once praised the Soviet Union for its gender equality, remarking that there was no “gender pay gap” in the former socialist country.

Omarova allegedly stole several bottles of cologne, along with shoes, belts, and socks from a Wisconsin TJ Maxx, according to the police report. She reportedly placed the items in her bag and covered them with clothes before exiting the store, at which point she was confronted by a TJ Maxx security guard.

The White House did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment as to whether the incident affected Omarova’s nomination.

Navajo Nation Slams Biden Oil Drilling Ban, Says White House Violated ‘Tribal Sovereignty’

The Navajo Nation criticized the Biden administration for banning oil and gas leasing on a large swath of New Mexico land that supported much of its community.

The tribe argued that President Joe Biden failed to properly consult it before issuing the sweeping order earlier this week. Biden and Interior Secretary Deb Haaland announced Monday that the federal government would review a new rule prohibiting oil and gas leasing within the 10-mile radius around the Chaco Culture National Historical Park in northwest New Mexico for 20 years.

Biden made the announcement during the White House Tribal Nations Summit and said the ban would “protect” the more than 200,000 acres of tribal lands covered by the rule.

“The Biden Administration bypassed previous requests to Congress for field hearings and for leaders to hear directly from our Navajo families affected in the Chaco Canyon region,” Navajo Nation Council Speaker Seth Damon said in a statement Tuesday. “It is important that the federal government consider and work with our Navajo allottees to further advance development.”

“The Administration must respect our tribal sovereignty and what the government to government relationship entails,” Damon continued.

The Navajo Nation previously opposed the ban proposed by the Biden administration, instead advocating for a 5-mile radius around the historic site, according to Damon. Fossil fuel companies return an estimated $90 million per year to Navajo mineral owners, a sum that helps support the largely low-income community, a watchdog report concluded in 2017.

“The White House is ignoring the will of the Navajo Nation, which voted overwhelmingly to support a five-mile buffer that would protect the park while enabling Navajo mineral owners to access their prime oil resources,” Kathleen Sgamma, president of the fossil fuel industry group Western Energy Alliance, said in a statement. “Oil and natural gas development is already done in a way to protect cultural resources.”

Republicans also criticized the administration’s action, noting the indirect harm it would do to Navajo families.

“In the Biden administration’s desperate attempts to appease radical environmentalists, however, they are expanding that protected perimeter to miles outside the park, jeopardizing the ability of Navajo allottees to develop their mineral rights,” House Natural Resources Committee Ranking Member Bruce Westerman said in a statement.

Westerman added that the historic park is already protected.

47 Studies Confirm Ineffectiveness of Masks for COVID & 32 More Confirm their Negative Health Effects

Masks are ineffective. They are no longer a medical precaution – they are a symbol of acquiescence to totalitarianism. The unmasked are the new sub-class.

47 studies confirm ineffectiveness of masks for COVID and 32 more confirm their negative health effects

Young children being forced to wear masks is of particular concern.

LifeSiteNews Jul 23, 2021:

Editor’s note: A handy, easier to print PDF version can be obtained by clicking HERE.

July 23, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Prior to facemask mandates as an alleged preventive for Covid infection and transmission, such masks were infrequently worn in hospitals and other medical facilities. They were only used in operating theatres or for visiting seriously ill patients in order to prevent infection from spit or droplets into open wounds or to partially protect visitors from acquiring and transmitting pathogens more dangerous than Covid. Many doctors and nurses have told LifeSite that for decades, if not longer, staff wearing medical masks were an uncommon sight in health care facilities other than as mentioned.

No studies were needed to justify this practice since most understood viruses were far too small to be stopped by the wearing of most masks, other than sophisticated ones designed for that task and which were too costly and complicated for the general public to properly wear and keep changing or cleaning. It was also understood that long mask wearing was unhealthy for wearers for common sense and basic science reasons.

There has been an international flood of lies about mask wearing in order to justify the bizarre and disturbing situation we have today of almost everyone wearing masks in many regions, inside and outside healthcare facilities, in schools with children of all ages, during sports events, in churches, in grocery stores and all commercial facilities, while driving and walking, and long after peak infection has passed.

It has also continued long after it was discovered that Covid was not nearly as dangerous as we were led to believe, that many of the mitigation policies caused serious damage of all kinds, including many deaths, and long after prevention and treatment protocols were discovered and used with great success, and the very best ones often criminally suppressed by government and health authorities.

The unnecessary and greatly exaggerated fear during the first few months of this pandemic, which would never have been labeled a pandemic until the WHO unilaterally changed the pandemic definition to include much less dangerous pathogens, has been manipulated to continue to this day, unlike past experiences with similar virus outbreaks. There have been numerous lies fed to the public by the WHO, national and regional government leaders and health bureaucrats and the media and many other institutions – all certainly for the purpose of maintaining fear until the large majority of the public has been injected with the poorly tested, unnecessary and dangerous Covid vaccines for which we have no evidence of their long-term safety.

President Joe Biden has been consistently presenting numerous, outrageous lies to justify his extreme Covid and vaccine policies and Paul Elias Alexander, Ph.D, has written an article published on LifeSite today that summarizes all of the most prominent and damaging lies that have generated continuing fear and caused a large percentage of Americans and citizens of other nations to accept the Covid vaccines in order to allegedly be able to return to a normal life. Included in Alexander’s list are the lies related to mask mandates.

An acquaintance of Paul Alexander has written the list below of 47 studies confirming that masks are useless in preventing Covid infection and transmission and a second list further down of 32 studies confirming the negative health effects caused by frequent mask wearing, especially for young children. This has been a growing, serious concern in recent months as the dangerous health and emotional effects, especially on children, who are at almost zero risk of Covid harm, are becoming more pronounced and deeply worrisome.

VARIOUS FACE MASK STUDIES PROVE THEIR INEFFECTIVENESS

1. Surgical mask / cloth face mask studies

Community and Close Contact Exposures Associated with COVID-19 Among Symptomatic Adults ≥18 Years in 11 Outpatient Health Care Facilities — United States, July 2020

The US Centre for Disease Control performed a study which showed that 85 percent of those who contracted Covid-19 during July 2020 were mask wearers. Just 3.9 percent of the study participants never wore a mask.

2. Facial protection for healthcare workers during pandemics: a scoping review

This study used 5462 peer-reviewed articles and 41 grey literature records.

“Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic has led to critical shortages of medical-grade PPE. Alternative forms of facial protection offer inferior protection. More robust evidence is required on different types of medical-grade facial protection. As research on COVID-19 advances, investigators should continue to examine the impact on alternatives of medical-grade facial protection”
So how is your cloth and surgical mask working again if EVEN medical grade alternatives are failing?

Study Article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32371574/

3.  Physical interventions to interrupt or reduce the spread of respiratory viruses

“There is moderate certainty evidence that wearing a mask probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of laboratory-confirmed influenza compared to not wearing a mask”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33215698/

4.  Disposable surgical face masks for preventing surgical wound infection in clean surgery

“We included three trials, involving a total of 2106 participants. There was no statistically significant difference in infection rates between the masked and unmasked group in any of the trials”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27115326/

5.  Disposable surgical face masks: a systematic review

Two randomized controlled trials were included involving a total of 1453 patients. In a small trial there was a trend towards masks being associated with fewer infections, whereas in a large trial there was no difference in infection rates between the masked and unmasked group.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16295987/

6. Evaluating the efficacy of cloth facemasks in reducing particulate matter exposure

“Our results suggest that cloth masks are only marginally beneficial in protecting individuals from particles<2.5 μm”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27531371/

7.  Face seal leakage of half masks and surgical masks

“The filtration efficiency of the filter materials was good, over 95%, for particles above 5 micron in diameter but great variation existed for smaller particles.

Coronavirus is 0.125 microns. therefore these masks wouldn’t protect you from the virus”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/4014006/

8.  Comparison of the Filter Efficiency of Medical Nonwoven Fabrics against Three Different Microbe Aerosols

“The filter efficiencies against influenza virus particles were the lowest”

“We conclude that the filter efficiency test using the phi-X174 phage aerosol may overestimate the protective performance of nonwoven fabrics with filter structure compared to that against real pathogens such as the influenza virus”
Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29910210/

9.  Aerosol penetration through surgical masks

“Although surgical mask media may be adequate to remove bacteria exhaled or expelled by health care workers, they may not be sufficient to remove the submicrometer-size aerosols containing pathogens ”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1524265/

10. Particle removal from air by face masks made from Sterilization Wraps: Effectiveness and Reusability

“We found that 60 GSM face mask had particle capture efficiency of 94% for total particles greater than 0.3 microns”

How big is the virus again? 0.125 microns.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33052962/

11. A New Method for Testing Filtration Efficiency of Mask Materials Under Sneeze-like Pressure

This study states that “alternatives” like silk and gauze etc could possibly be good options in the pandemic. It’s done on starch particles.

Does not state how big they are either, but they can still get through the material and my research points out that starch particles are “big”, much bigger than most viruses.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32503823/

12. Protecting staff against airborne viral particles: in vivo efficiency of laser masks

“The laser mask provided significantly less protection than the FFP2 respirator (P=0.02), and only marginally more protection than the surgical mask. The continued use of laser masks for respiratory protection is questionable. Taping masks to the face only provided a small improvement in protection”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16920222/

13. Quantitative Method for Comparative Assessment of Particle Removal Efficiency of Fabric Masks as Alternatives to Standard Surgical Masks for PPE

“Worn as designed, both commercial surgical masks and cloth masks had widely varying effectiveness (53 – 75 percent and 28 – 91 percent particle removal efficiency, respectively)”. Different brand, different results and only when they applied “nylon layers” did the “efficiency” improve. Synthetic fibres do not breathe, so this will inevitably effect your breathing.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32838296/

14. The efficacy of standard surgical face masks: an investigation using “tracer particles”

“Since the microspheres were not identified on the exterior of these face masks, they must have escaped around the mask edges and found their way into the wound”. Human albumin cells, aka aborted fetal tissue, is much larger than the virus and still escaped the mask.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7379387/

15. Testing the efficacy of homemade masks: would they protect in an influenza pandemic?

“Our findings suggest that a homemade mask should only be considered as a last resort to prevent droplet transmission from infected individuals” so why has the government suggested you make your own when they are not effective?

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24229526/

16. Using half-facepiece respirators for H1N1

“Increasing the filtration level of a particle respirator does not increase the respirator’s ability to reduce a user’s exposure to contaminants”

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19927872/

17. Why Masks Don’t Work Against COVID-19

The site is full of studies proving masks dont work for coronavirus or the flu.

19. Face masks to prevent transmission of influenza virus: a systematic review

There is less data to support the use of face masks or respirators to prevent becoming infected.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20092668/

20. “Exercise with facemask; Are we handling a devil’s sword?” – A physiological hypothesis

No evidence to suggest that wearing a mask during exercise offers any benefit from the droplet transfer from the virus.

“Exercising with facemasks may reduce available Oxygen and increase air trapping preventing substantial carbon dioxide exchange. The hypercapnic hypoxia may potentially increase acidic environment, cardiac overload, anaerobic metabolism and renal overload, which may substantially aggravate the underlying pathology of established chronic diseases”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32590322/

21. Use of face masks by non-scrubbed operating room staff: a randomized controlled trial

Surgical site infection rates did not increase when non-scrubbed personnel did not wear face masks.
2010 Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20575920/

22. Surgical face masks in modern operating rooms – a costly and unnecessary ritual?

When the wearing of face masks by non-scrubbed staff working in an operating room with forced ventilation seems to be unnecessary.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1680906/

23. Masks: a ward investigation and review of the literature

Wearing multi layer operating room masks for every visit had no effect on nose and throat carriage rates.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2873176/

24. Aerosol penetration and leakage characteristics of masks used in the health care industry

The protection provided by surgical masks may be insufficient in environments containing potentially hazardous submicrometer-sized aerosols.

“Conclusion: We conclude that the protection provided by surgical masks may be insufficient in environments containing potentially hazardous submicrometer-sized aerosols”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8239046/

25. Masks for prevention of viral respiratory infections among health care workers and the public: PEER umbrella systematic review

Meta analysis review that says there is limited evidence to suggest that the use of masks may reduce the risk of spreading viral respiratory infections.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32675098/

26. Modeling of the Transmission of Coronaviruses, Measles Virus, Influenza Virus, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and Legionella pneumophila in Dental Clinics

Evidence to suggest that transmission probability is strongly driven by indoor air quality, followed by patient effectiveness and the least by respiratory protection via mask use.

So this could explain “second waves” and has nothing to do with hand shaking, or not wearing a mask.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32614681/

27. Nonpharmaceutical Measures for Pandemic Influenza in Nonhealthcare Settings-Personal Protective and Environmental Measures

The use of face masks, either by infected or non infected peresons, does not have a significant effect on influenza transmission.

SO MASKS DON’T PROTECT YOU FROM ME, AND VICE VERSA.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32027586/

28. Effectiveness of personal protective measures in reducing pandemic influenza transmission: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Meta analyses suggest that regular hand hygiene provided a significant protective effect over face masks and their insignificant protection.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28487207/

29. Effectiveness of N95 respirators versus surgical masks against influenza: A systematic review and meta- analysis

Use of n95 respirators compared to surgical masks is not associated with a lower risk of laboratory confirmed influenza.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32167245/

30. Adolescents’ face mask usage and contact transmission in novel Coronavirus

Face mask surfaces can become contamination sources. People are storing them in their pockets, bags, putting them on tables, people are reusing them etc. This is why this study is relevant:

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32582579/

31. Visualizing the effectiveness of face masks in obstructing respiratory jets

Loosely folded face masks and “bandana style” face coverings provide minimum stopping capability for the smallest aerosolized droplets.

This applies to anyone who folds or shoves a mask into their pockets or bag. It also applies to cloth and homemade cloth masks:
Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32624649/

32. Use of surgical face masks to reduce the incidence of the common cold among health care workers in Japan: a randomized controlled trial

Face mask use in healthcare workers has not been demonstrated to provide benefit in terms of colds symptoms or getting colds.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19216002/

33. A cluster randomized trial of cloth masks compared with medical masks in healthcare workers

Penetration of cloth masks by influenza particles was almost 97 percent and medical masks 44 percent. so cloth masks are essentially useless, and “medical grade” masks don’t provide adequate protection.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25903751/

34. Simple respiratory protection–evaluation of the filtration performance of cloth masks and common fabric materials against 20-1000 nm size particles

Cloth masks and other fabric materials tested in the study had 40-90 percent instantaneous penetration levels against polydisperse NaCl aerosols.

“Results obtained in the study show that common fabric materials may provide marginal protection against nanoparticles, including those in the size ranges of virus-containing particles in exhaled breath”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20584862/

35. Respiratory performance offered by N95 respirators and surgical masks: human subject evaluation with NaCl aerosol representing bacterial and viral particle size range

“The study indicates that N95 filtering facepiece respirators may not achieve the expected protection level against bacteria and viruses”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18326870/

36. Do N95 respirators provide 95% protection level against airborne viruses, and how adequate are surgical masks?

The n95 filtering respirators may not provide expected protection level against small virons

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16490606/

37. Do Surgical Masks Stop the Coronavirus?

Study article: https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/01/coronavirus-surgical-masks-china.html

38. Effectiveness of personal protective measures in reducing pandemic influenza transmission: A systematic review and meta-analysis

This study states that an N95, depending on the brand, can range from 0.1-0.3 microns. however, most people cannot buy an N95 with a micron smaller than 0.3 micron because they are expensive and not readily available on the public market.

“N95 respirators made by different companies were found to have different filtration efficiencies for the most penetrating particle size (0.1 to 0.3 micron)”

“Above the most penetrating particle size the filtration efficiency increases with size; it reaches approximately 99.5% or higher at about 0.75 micron”

“Meta-analyses suggest that regular hand hygiene provided a significant protective effect (OR=0.62; 95% CI 0.52-0.73; I2=0%), and facemask use provided a non-significant protective effect (OR=0.53; 95% CI 0.16-1.71; I2=48%) against 2009 pandemic influenza infection”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28487207/

39. Effectiveness of N95 respirators versus surgical masks against influenza: A systematic review and meta- analysis

“The use of N95 respirators compared with surgical masks is not associated with a lower risk of laboratory- confirmed influenza. It suggests that N95 respirators should not be recommended for the general public or non high-risk medical staff who are not in close contact with influenza patients or suspected patients”

N95 masks did show a positive effect for BACTERIA but not viruses.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32167245/

40. Adolescents’ face mask usage and contact transmission in novel Coronavirus

This study used dye to show if masks were contaminated. “As a result, masks surface becomes a contamination source. In the contact experiment, ten adults were requested to put on and off a surgical mask while doing a word processing task. The extended contamination areas were recorded and identified by image analysis”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32582579/

41. Use of surgical face masks to reduce the incidence of the common cold among health care workers in Japan: a randomized controlled trial

“Of the 8 symptoms recorded daily, subjects in the mask group were significantly more likely to experience headache during the study period”

“Face mask use in health care workers has not been demonstrated to provide benefit in terms of cold symptoms or getting colds”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19216002/

42. Effectiveness of Adding a Mask Recommendation to Other Public Health Measures to Prevent SARS CoV-2 Infection in Danish Mask Wearers : A Randomized Controlled Trial

“The recommendation to wear surgical masks to supplement other public health measures did not reduce the SARS-CoV-2 infection rate among wearers by more than 50 percent in a community with modest infection rates, some degree of social distancing, and uncommon general mask use”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33205991/

43. A cluster randomized trial of cloth masks compared with medical masks in healthcare workers

“An analysis of mask use showed ILI (RR=6.64, 95 percent CI 1.45 to 28.65) and laboratory-confirmed virus (RR=1.72, 95 percent CI 1.01 to 2.94) were significantly higher in the cloth masks group compared with the medical masks group. Penetration of cloth masks by particles was almost 97 percent and medical masks 44 percent”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25903751/

44. Respiratory performance offered by N95 respirators and surgical masks: human subject evaluation with NaCl aerosol representing bacterial and viral particle size range

“The study indicates that N95 filtering facepiece respirators may not achieve the expected protection level against bacteria and viruses. An exhalation valve on the N95 respirator does not affect the respiratory protection”

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18326870/

45. Performance of N95 respirators: filtration efficiency for airborne microbial and inert particles

Coronavirus is 0.125 micron, as you can read in this study, it states that most N95 masks can only filter particles as small as 0.75 microns. This is too big to trap this virus. that is a fact.

And even with an efficiency of 95 percent (depending on brand, so filtration may be lower) IF the virus can be trapped… it’s still missing 5 percent and maybe more based on an N95 that has 0.1 microns.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9487666/

CORONAVIRUSES ARE 0.125 MICRON. SO THE BEST N95 ON THE MARKET WOULD DO NOTHING.

46. A Novel Coronavirus from Patients with Pneumonia in China, 2019

A Chinese study that proves that an airborne coronavirus particle (0.125 micron) can pass directly through an n95 mask

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31978945/

47. Airborne coronavirus particle (<0.125 micron) will pass directly through a N95 face mask.

Study article: https://www.greenmedinfo.com/article/airborne-coronavirus-particle

SIZE OF THE CORONAVIRUS: Size can vary but all are smaller than 0.3 micron.

“Human coronaviruses measure between 0.1 and 0.2 microns, which is one to two times below the cutoff” This “cut off” is referring to the size an N95 mask can trap. Most of us, are not using MEDICAL or regular N95s.

FACE MASK SIDE EFFECTS AND HEALTH IMPLICATIONS

1. Preliminary report on surgical mask induced deoxygenation during major surgery

Face mask side effects include lowered oxygen levels.

This study proved that surgeons that wore a mask in surgery for an hour + had significant reductions in blood oxygen saturation.

This is relevant because most of us are being made to wear face masks at work for the whole shift, long journeys on public transport, and when we are in a public places doing shopping etc. and this requires a degree of exertion that is not taken into account.

“Considering our findings, pulse rates of the surgeon’s increase and SpO2 decrease after the first hour.”

Decreasing oxygen and increasing carbon dioxide in the bloodstream stimulates a compensatory response in the respiratory centers of the brain. These changes in blood gases result in increases in both frequency and depth of breaths. This exposes another risk – if your mask traps some virus you are breathing more hence increasing viral load and exposure.

Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18500410/

2. Impact of structural features on dynamic breathing resistance of healthcare face mask

Face mask side effects include impeded breathing.

Ask people if they have issues breathing in these masks. anecdotal or not, as everyone is different.

“The results showed that each evaluation index was significantly different (P < 0.05) among different testmasks”
Study article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31280156/

3. Respiratory consequences of N95-type Mask usage in pregnant healthcare workers-a controlled clinical study

The benefits of using N95 mask to prevent serious emerging infectious diseases should be weighed against potential respiratory consequences associated with extended N95 respirator usage.

“It is known that the N95 mask, if worn for hours, can reduce blood oxygenation as much as 20 percent, which can lead to a loss of consciousness, as happened to the hapless fellow driving aroundalone in his car wearing an N95 mask, causing him to pass out, crash his car and sustain injuries. I am sure that we have several cases of elderly individuals or any person with poor lung function passing out, hitting their head. This, of course, can lead to death”

“CONCLUSIONS: Breathing through N95 mask materials have been shown to impede gaseous exchange and impose an additional workload on the metabolic system of pregnant healthcare workers, and this needs to be taken into consideration in guidelines for respirator use”

Yet we force pregnant women to use them…? What could this do to the fetus?

4. Headaches and the N95 face-mask amongst healthcare providers

Face mask side effects include headaches.

These headaches can force you to use added or unnecessary medications like painkillers that carry their own side effects. The theory as to why masks can trigger headaches is the RESTRICTION OF OXYGEN.

What are the long-term health effects on Health Care Workers with headaches arising from impeded breathing?

Here are several sources and studies that back up this claim:

7. Physiological impact of the N95 filtering facepiece respirator on healthcare workers

“CONCLUSIONS: In healthy healthcare workers, FFR did not impose any important physiological burden during 1 hour of use, at realistic clinical work rates, but the FFR dead-space carbon dioxide andoxygen levels were significantly above and below, respectively, the ambient workplace standards, and elevated P(CO2) is a possibility”

Remember in “healthy healthcare workers” even their carbon dioxide levels rose. Most of the wider public have at least one health problem. Even healthy people were shown to have elevated CO2 levelsabove the healthy guidelines.

“We’re seeing inflammation in people’s gums that have been healthy forever, and cavities in people who have never had them    before,” says Dr. Rob Ramondi, a dentist and co-founder of One Manhattan Dental. “About 50 percent of our patients are being impacted by this, [so] we decided to name it ‘mask mouth’ — after ‘meth mouth.’ ”

“While mask mouth isn’t quite as obvious, if left untreated, the results could be equally harmful.

Gum disease — or periodontal disease — will eventually lead to strokes and an increased risk of heart attacks,” says Dr. Marc Sclafani, another co-founder of One Manhattan Dental”

19.  Other Face Mask Side Effects and Health Implications to Consider

There is a great potential for harm that may arise from public policies forcing mask use on the wider population.

The following unanswered questions arise unanswered:

  • Can masks shed fibers or micro plastics that we can breathe in?
  • Do these masks excrete chemical substances that are harmful when inhaled?
  • Can masks excrete chemicals or fumes when heated, either with bodyheat sunlight or other sources of heat?
  • Clothing dye can cause reactions, so how do we know that the manufacturing process of these masks do not pose a risk to us? Because, in reality, we do not buy our masks from medical companiesor facilities who operate in sterile environments.

20.  [Gaps in asepsis due to surgical caps, face masks, external surfaces of infusion bottles and sterile wrappers of disposable articles]

“It is obvious that the surfaces of the boxes of sterile packed disposable instruments and infusion bottles are not sterile. The disposable surgical masks and surgical caps used for sterile clothing are delivered by the producers not sterile, either.” AND THIS IS HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT.

22.  Allergies and the Immune System

Can pathogen-laden droplets interact with environmental dust and aerosols captured on the mask? Can this elicit a greater reaction to viruses? For example, if you have a dust allergy your mask is collecting this thus causing inflamation to the wearer and lowering his or her immune system.

“This can cause wheezing, itching, runny nose, watery or itchy eyes, and other symptoms” would that not facilitate spread and infection rate of viruses?

26. Mask mandates may affect a child’s emotional, intellectual development

Face mask side effects stagnate a child’s natural intellectual development. It is well known that children find it hard to recognise faces up until a certain age. Mask use will further interfere with this. Is this healthy for a developing child?

27. Disabled People and Masks Contributing Toward Mental Health Issues

Face mask side effects and mental health

What about disabled people? Deaf /people hard of hearing rely on mouth reading. What are the implications for them? What about  people who suffer cognitive and behavioural disorders like autism? This could cause them HUGE distress. Not just from wearing a mask, but seeing others in masks (because let’s face it – IT’S NOT NORMAL BEHAVIOUR).

Can masks cause anxiety, or make other mental health disorders worse?

Since masks CAN impede breathing, this can cause fainting and other bodily reaction that would otherwise be avoided if masks were not used. Here is a search engine link to prove that it is very common:

32. Why Masks Don’t Work Against COVID-19

Can used and loaded masks become vectors of enhanced transmission for both the wearer and other people? (The evidence from studies suggest yes). Masks become useless after about 20 minutes due to the moisture in your breath. This moisture can become the droplets that viruses travel on. Can this not facilitate transmission?

Can masks become collectors and retainers of pathogens that otherwise, could be avoided when breathing without a mask? (The evidence suggests yes).

Can large droplets trapped via a mask become atomized or aerosolized into breathable components? Even down to the virion size. (The evidence suggests yes).

Creeping Commies. We need another Red Scare!

“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.” – Albert Einstein

Creeping Commies. We need another Red Scare!

By Jason A Brown

Progressives never cease to amaze me as they, without shame, move to implement the communist playbook to bring down the United States of America from the inside.  Is there a communist playbook? You bet there is, and it was entered into the congressional record (Appendix, pp. A34-A35) on Thursday January 10, 1963. [Link:  https://neprimer.com/1963ComGoals.htm]

Read the list and check off which of these goals from 1963 have been implemented to date.  The result will terrify you.  What happened to America’s universal opposition to communism?  Decades ago, there was a collective opposition to anyone or anything that had any ties whatsoever to communism or communists.  Ask Julian and Ethel Rosenberg, that were convicted of spying on behalf of the Soviet Union and executed on June 19, 1953.  If these two were alive today, they would probably be professors at a university, and given the task of educating young minds.

How did we get here?  The answer is not simple and there are many contributing factors.  What we call education in this country is an absolute disgrace.  What does it mean to be educated?  Is the purpose of education to teach one how to think or what to think?  As human beings, we have different views and opinions on various issues that tend to be a product of our past experiences.  Where we grew up, our parents and their parenting style, or lack of a parenting style, our friends and acquaintances past and present, the presence or absence of physical and/or emotional trauma at some stage of our life, I could go on, but you get the idea.  Who we are today is the sum of all of these environments, people, and experiences?  Our unique personalities are shaped in this way over time.

People perceive things differently and this ability to develop a unique perspective is a crucial component of the learning process.  An individual that finds himself in a learning environment, must have this freedom to explore ideas, and express their opinion on specific subjects and issues.  We are not all going to see things the same way, for the reasons I stated above.  By acknowledging this fact, we are promoting true “diversity”.  Diversity within a civilized society comes in the form of thought and ideas, not skin color.  In this melting pot that is the United States of America, we remember where we came from and celebrate our ancestors but, what we become here has more to do with our soul, and what we have inside, not the shell that houses that soul.  Our soul is eternal, but our earthly body, red, yellow, black, white, green, brown, or otherwise, is not a reflection of who we are in God.  We are all brothers and sisters in Christ.

Diversity of thought is important, and opinions should be heard even when those opinions fall outside the norm.  Progress cannot be realized if you only allow discussion and implantation of the status quo.  The greatest minds, Einstein, Tesla, Jobs, Musk and many others, didn’t care when people told them that they were crazy, or that what they were attempting couldn’t be done.  But they continued doing what they were doing, challenging accepted norms and refusing to be limited by perceived glass ceilings, road blocks, or other obstacles.  These great minds define diversity and the color of their skin had nothing to do with their genius.

We should embrace this diversity of thought but at the same time we must be cognizant of the fact that all opinions and perspectives are not created equal.  By this I am referring to the explosion of neo-Marxism in the form of postmodernism, that has allowed communism to slither its way into the minds of our youth through academia and pop culture under the guise of “perspective”.  The idea that all perspectives/opinions should be heard, does not suggest that all of those perspectives are viable.  Take the gender movement as an illustration of my point here.  There are two genders, period.  If one wants to believe that there are 48, 69, 84, or more genders and pronouns that accommodate those variations, that is fine, but that opinion should not be adopted by the scientific community, the government, and academia while being shoved down people’s throats.  California has a law on the books that criminalizes addressing someone using incorrect pronouns.  In California though, does it really surprise you?

The postmodernist seeks to divide the population by creating numerous identity groups based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, etc., in a struggle for power. This differs from traditional Marxism where Marx’s intent was to stoke the flames of conflict between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat to influence social change via redistribution of wealth. We have the media today, stirring up fear, making people afraid of their own shadow, but what we should really fear is a cultural shift and takeover of American society and government, that we are all witnessing right now. America has fallen asleep, and while many have woken up, we still have a long way to go in educating people on the evil that is communism. More specifically, the young people that have been brainwashed by academia, the media, and pop culture. COVID is not worthy of the fear that the media has manufactured. Communism is a clear and present danger, and to say that the fear is warranted is an understatement. We need another Red Scare because the threat of communism is something to be very afraid of, because we have seen what the communist ideology does to people and the societies in which they live.

Is the Civilian Climate Corps (CCC) the new Allgemeine-SS?

In the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill is funding for a Civilian Climate Corps (CCC). This $8 billion budget item was put into the bill to commission a federally funded climate police called the Civilian Climate Corps (CCC) who will conduct environmentalist activism on the American taxpayers’ dime (pages 821, and 926).

The Republican Study Committee also found in the Democrat Party’s reconciliation bill these “green mandates”:

  1. Pushes Green New Deal in our public schools: Requires funding for school construction be used largely on enrollment diversity and Green New Deal agenda items (page 55).
  2. Pushes Green New Deal in our universities: Democrats include a $10 billion “environmental justice” higher education slush fund to indoctrinate college students and advance Green New Deal policies (page 1,935).
  3. Includes dangerous & deadly green energy mandate: Effectively forces Americans to get 40% of their energy from wind, solar and other unreliable forms of energy within 8 years (page 392). Reliance on these energy sources has proven deadly.
  4. Increases energy dependence on OPEC, Russia and China: The bill prohibits several mineral and energy withdrawals (page 979). It overturns provisions included in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that authorized energy production in the Arctic that will result in 130,000 Americans losing their jobs and $440 billion in lost federal revenue (page 983) and the mineral withdrawals it prohibits would, ironically, include minerals necessary for renewable energy sources (pages 934940943).
  5. Chases green energy pipe dreams: $264 million to the EPA to conduct research with left-wing environmental justice groups on how to transition away from fossil fuels (page 1063).

The Democrats also included a legislative hull for Biden’s vaccine mandate. The bill increases OSHA penalties on businesses that fail to implement the mandate up to $700,000 per violation and includes $2.6 billion in funding for the Department of Labor to increase enforcement of these penalties (page 168).

Civilian Climate Corps (CCC) the new Allgemeine-SS?

The Waffen-SS was the military branch of the Nazi Party’s SS organization. Its formations included men from Nazi Germany, along with volunteers and conscripts from both occupied and unoccupied lands. The Allgemeine SS was responsible for enforcing the racial political policies of Nazi Germany, the general policing of the German people and the protection of Adolph Hitler.

It now appears that the Civilian Climate Corps, if funded and organized, will become the “militant branch” of the Democrat Party’s climate change agenda. We can expect volunteers and conscripts, like Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg, to join the CCC.

Will the CCC become responsible for enforcing the racial political policies of Socialist Democrats, like AOC author of the Green New Deal, and for the general policing of the America people?

The more  government enforcement agencies, like the CCC, the more control over we the people.

Will we be arrested and sent to concentration camps by the CCC if we don’t comply with the Green New Deal’s mandates?

Is Biden and the Democrat Party Creating a Fourth Reich?

QUESTION: Are there similarities between Hitler’s Third Reich and the Biden Administration?

Since Biden’s election we have seen a dramatic increase in government control. Some are comparing what Biden is doing today as similar to what Hitler did after he took power in Germany on January 30, 1933. Hitler’s regime was called the Third Reich. Hitler fundamentally transformed Germany into a dictatorship.

Are Biden, his administration, Democrats in Congress, at the local, county and state levels all working in concert to fundamentally transform America into a dictatorship?

The following is a brief history of what Hitler did when he took power in 1933. We then compare what Hitler did to what Biden has done since his inauguration on January 20th to date.

The Third Reich

The Holocaust Museum makes these key points about what Hitler did, once elected Chancellor, to create the Third Reich:

  1. The Nazi rise to power brought an end to the Weimar Republic, a parliamentary democracy established in Germany after World War I.
  2. Following the appointment of Adolf Hitler as chancellor on January 30, 1933, the Nazi state (also referred to as the Third Reich) quickly became a regime in which Germans enjoyed no guaranteed basic rights.
  3. After a suspicious fire in the Reichstag (the German Parliament), on February 28, 1933, the government issued a decree which suspended constitutional civil rights and created a state of emergency in which official decrees could be enacted without parliamentary confirmation.
  4. In the first months of Hitler’s chancellorship, the Nazis instituted a policy of “coordination”—the alignment of individuals and institutions with Nazi goals.
  5. Culture, the economy, education, and law all came under Nazi control.
  6. The Nazi regime also attempted to “coordinate” the German churches and, although not entirely successful, won support from a majority of Catholic and Protestant clergymen.
  7. Extensive propaganda was used to spread the regime’s goals and ideals.
  8. Hitler had the final say in both domestic legislation and German foreign policy.
  9. Open criticism of the regime was suppressed by the Gestapo (secret state police) and the Security Service (SD) of the Nazi party, but Hitler’s government was popular with most Germans.

The Fourth Reich

QUESTION: Like Hitler fundamentally transformed Germany into the Third Reich, is Biden also doing fundamentally the same things to transform America into a dictatorship/Fourth Reich?

Let’s compare what Hitler did to what has happened since Biden was elected president on January 20th, 2021.

  1. Biden, like Hitler, is ending America’s Constitutional Republican form of government with a radical expansion of powers under the executive branch of government. OSHA and the CDC are using Covid to reshape our freedoms to choose our job, healthcare and economic futures.
  2. Americans, like under Hitler, are seeing their guarantied basic rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness stripped away. Government mandates are replacing our basic rights. If you don’t obey and get vaxxed you lose your job. As more and more people vote for a living rather than work for a living we can understand how Democrats, like Hitler, gain more and more power over the individual.
  3. The January 6th, 2021 protest in Washington, D.C is being used by Biden and Democrats, just as Hitler did using the Reichstag fire, as an excuse to oppress all political opponents. Those who participated in the Save America peaceful protest have had their constitutional rights taken away. They have been imprisoned, abused and even tortured. The Biden administration, and the Democrats in Congress, are demonizing those who peacefully protested the results of the 2020 election.
  4. Under Biden’s “Build Back Better Agenda” we are seeing the coordination —the alignment of individuals and institutions— with Democrat Party goals. The Green New Deal impacts all major institutions. The vaccination mandates have clearly hit all companies with 100 or more employees. From manufacturing, to healthcare, to law enforcement, to first responders, to our public schools, all are impacted.
  5. Since Biden’s inauguration we are witness a “cultural war” against those who do not agree with the policies and politics of the Democrat Party. If you are a parent and speak out against Biden’s plan to put Critical Race Theory in every classroom, then your are labeled a domestic terrorist by the FBI. If you don’t get jabbed then you’ll be punished. If you don’t obey your family won’t eat.
  6. Propaganda is the foundation upon which the Biden administration is built. The legacy media, social media, the White House press secretary are in full agreement that telling the big lie (propaganda) is the best pathway to keeping power. Anything negative about Biden is either suppressed or spun to make Biden look competent and his opponents look like enemies of the state. Lies are being told by members of the Executive Branch daily. The “big lie” is now the standard operating procedure of Biden and his handlers.
  7. Biden has coopted many Jewish, Catholic and Protestant clergymen. Churches fear losing their tax exempt status as Biden weaponizes the IRS.
  8. Biden’s handlers have the final say on all domestic legislation and U.S. foreign policy. Even if those policies are dangerous domestically and overseas. From Biden’s immigration policy of open borders, to kowtowing to our enemies like Iran, China and Russia, to leaving Americans behind in Afghanistan. All are disasters.
  9. Oppression. Biden is using the FBI to go after parents who disagree with what is being taught in our public schools. The FBI is complicit in suppressing opposition to Biden and Democrats. Some even suggest that the FBI is the new Stasi, the Ministry for State Security, or State Security Service, the official state security service of the German Democratic Republic. It has been described as one of the most effective and repressive intelligence and secret police agencies to have ever existed until Biden came along, that is.
  10. Biden’s policies are becoming less and less popular with the American people. However, there are hard core groups like Antifa, Black Lives Matter, Democrat Socialists like AOC, Nazi collaborator George Soros and the organizations he funds, and others who embrace Biden’s Fourth Reich.

Conclusion

The Democrats crave power. In his book 1984 George Orwell wrote, “Orthodoxy means not thinking–not needing to think. Orthodoxy is unconsciousness.”

Will the CCC be the enforcers of climate orthodoxy? Let’s hope that this reconciliation bill never passes. However, if it does remember what the Declaration of Independence says:

When a government fails to protect the unalienable rights of its citizens, it is the duty and right of citizens to create another form of government.

Perhaps Senator Barry Goldwater (R-AZ) said it best in his book “The Conscience of a Conservative“:

“I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution, or that have failed their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden. I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is “needed” before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible. And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents’ “interests,” I shall reply that I was informed that their main interest is liberty and that in that cause I am doing the very best I can.”

It appears Biden, his administration and the Democrat party aren’t interested in their constituents interests. They are hell bent on inaugurating new programs that do violence to our Constitutional Republican form of government.

Gird your loins. It will most certainly get worse if the CCC is established.

VIDEO: The True Story & Lesson of the First Thanksgiving

Millions of school children have been taught the revisionist history that the first Thanksgiving was about the Pilgrims giving thanks to their Indian neighbors for saving them from starvation. Around this time of year, an historically accurate account of the first Thanksgiving was told on national radio. Eight years ago, I compiled a lightly-edited transcript of that account, which appears below. Please enjoy and share “The True Story of the First Thanksgiving,” as it was narrated each November by the late Rush Limbaugh.

The story of the Pilgrims began in the early part of the seventeenth century. The Church of England under King James I was persecuting anyone who did not recognize its absolute authority. Those who demanded freedom of worship were hunted down, imprisoned, and sometimes executed for their beliefs.

A small group of separatists fled to Holland, where they established an outpost. A decade later, about forty of the separatists decided to embark on a perilous journey to the New World, where they could live and worship God according to the dictates of their own conscience.

On August 1, 1620, the Mayflower set sail from Plymouth, England carrying a total of 102 passengers, including forty Pilgrims led by William Bradford. On the journey, Bradford set up a contract that established laws that would govern the new settlement. The values and principles set forth in the Mayflower Compact were derived from the Bible.

Because of an unshakable belief in Divine Providence, the Pilgrims never doubted that their bold experiment would succeed. But their journey to the New World was long and arduous. When they landed in America, they found, according to Bradford’s detailed journal, a cold and desolate wilderness. There were no friends to greet them, he wrote, or houses to shelter them. There were no inns where they could find temporary lodging and no trading posts where they could buy food and other necessities. The numerous hardships they would encounter in the name of religious freedom were just beginning.

During the first winter, half of the Pilgrims, including Bradford’s wife, perished from starvation, sickness or exposure. When spring came, Indians taught the settlers how to plant corn, fish for cod and skin beavers for coats. Life improved on the margins, but the colony was still a long way from assured survival.

The original contract the Pilgrims entered into with their merchant sponsors in London called for everything they produced to go into a common store, with each member of the settlement entitled to one common share. All land they cleared and all houses they built belonged to the community. The plan was to distribute everything equally. No colony member owned anything beyond a proportionate share of the common output. Under this communal living arrangement, the colony’s most industrious members lacked incentive to produce as much as they could.

Soon, it became obvious that the collectivist system was not yielding enough food. Faced with mass starvation, Bradford decided on bold action, and assigned each family its own plot of land. With private property rights and personal incentive in play, food production began to soar. The Pilgrims scrapped the collectivist system that almost led to their demise. What Bradford wrote about the colony’s near-disastrous experiment in communal living should be taught to every child in America:

“…. this community was found to breed much confusion and discontent, and to retard much employment that would otherwise have been to its benefit and comfort. Young men that were most able and fit for labor and service did repine [complain] that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men’s wives and children without compensation.”

Under the new arrangement, every family was permitted to sell its excess crops and other products. The result? “This had very good success,” wrote Bradford, “for it made all hands industrious, so more corn was planted than otherwise would have been.”

With an abundance of food at hand, the Pilgrims set up trading posts and began to exchange goods with the Indians. The profits they earned enabled them to pay off their debts to their sponsors. News of the settlement’s prosperity attracted other Europeans, and precipitated what came to be known as The Great Puritan Migration.

Many of America’s schools incorrectly teach that the first Thanksgiving was an occasion where grateful Pilgrims thanked the Indians for saving them from starvation. But the true story of Thanksgiving is that of William Bradford giving thanks not to the Indians, but to God for the guidance and inspiration to establish a thriving colony, one that enabled the Pilgrims to generously share their plentiful bounty with their Indian neighbors at that first Thanksgiving.

Omitted in many classrooms is the historical fact that it was not Indians who saved the Pilgrims. Rather, it was free enterprise capitalism and Scripture, the latter of which was acknowledged on October 3, 1789 by President George Washington in his Thanksgiving Proclamation, a short historical document every school child should read.

Send In The Clowns

Among the many changes occurring in our country the ability and freedom to laugh at ourselves is, and has, quickly become a victim of a dastardly disease called “political correctness.”

I personally think it is more the “humbug” virus that seems to infect many without regard to education or social status, political or financial standing. The humbug virus really manifests during seasons of joy like Thanksgiving and Christmas, but a growing body of evidence depicts a vicious bug that lives just below the surface of our humanity just waiting to make itself known, and without regard as to where or when it will seize its’ next victim and lay them low.

Historically in-check by the preponderance of good will and natural immune boosters formed from the long-standing American Spirit, this virus has gone rabidly through the political process of our country much like a hot knife through butter. The virus aggressively attaches itself to a host who already has a co-morbid factor to stir division and strife where none existed previously, and then spread and bring acute self-doubt, pernicious low self-esteem, inability to speak-up, pervasive weakness and fear to others; leading to the ugly end of absence of laughter!

Where are the clowns within our ranks who use to keep this ugly cynical disease of political correctness and humbug virus at bay?

Where are the clowns so many of us grew up with; the clowns who knew how to make us laugh as we saw ourselves from the clown’s perspective of life’s conditions?

What happened to the doctors of laughter who could simply help us feel better and more alive by their wit and comical perspectives?

These doctors of fun were able to show us the dangers of this humbug virus all the while helping us to strengthen our immune systems to withstand the evils of those who would prefer to exploit weakened systems, distorting them for their own agendas of darkness and evil; promoting the illness of cynicism leading to perpetual group unrest and dis-ease. These physicians of humor never, ever forced medicine down our throats that would cause denial of truth to the condition of man; rather, they promoted a healing protocol wrapped in laughter and good-natured humor affording us the safe environment to look at ourselves in comparison to those in need around us, and giving us the permission we sometimes needed to make a difference outside our own antiseptic space. Where are the clowns of good-natured laughter and kidding? Those specialists of humor who delicately knew just how to unlock the best of ourselves so we may begin to reach higher and further to correct the ills of our society, allowing us to laugh at those very same ills that intended to keep us isolated, morally bankrupted, and impotent to real and significant change.

Jesus loved parties; He loved people as He walked the earth. Jesus loved to laugh. Terribly, our country has forgotten both – Jesus and the gift of laughter.

Look around…are we better off having become so enlightened and politically correct? The comedy clubs of today are not even close in comparison to the clowns of yesteryear. Rudeness and foul language has replaced a humor that could be telegraphed simply by expression, no words, just a simple gesture here, and a look there.

Where are the clowns of yesteryear?

Maybe they were only meant for a season, but if that is the case…then Oh, how I miss that season of yesteryear. Take a moment and enjoy some of the best clowns who brought the medicine of laughter, the balm of healing from division, and the ability to soothe broken hearts and shattered dreams.

Watch below and listen as Frank Sinatra remembers the clowns.

People everywhere still need the medicine of laughter. I pray the pernicious disease of correctness is eradicated, and once again we can laugh at ourselves and one another without rancor or meanness of spirit.

Where are the Clowns…send in the clowns…well, maybe this year!

Hypnotised by race and gender, politicians have forgotten the working man

We need a labour market which supports families, argues Oren Cass, in a brilliant policy book.

Over the last two years, the overwhelming focus on the pandemic has obscured many other issues. It is easy to overlook the growing dissatisfaction with the economic status quo which existed prior to Covid.

Explanations for why there has been a populist revolt generally revolve around issues of immigration and cultural change, with debates over economic policy playing a supporting role.

Clearly, politics is changing. On issues like trade or government spending, the leftward shift by the Republican Party under Trump and the Conservative Party under Johnson has helped attract new voters in lower socio-economic groups.

Elsewhere, even though socialists and social democrats should be happy with the new mood in favour of greater state intervention, their electoral appeal is limited by the cult-like obsession with issues of race and gender, and so political coalitions are gradually being remade without any major shifts in policy taking place.

When it comes to explaining what has gone wrong in this area over recent decades, one book that really stands out is The Once and Future Worker by Oren Cass.

Cass’s influence in American policy circles has grown in recent years (Yuval Levin wrote that the book stands “in the very top ranks of sustained efforts to make some policy sense of the political realities of our era”) as the old “country club” element in Republican politics withers away, and he now runs his own think tank.

His central thesis is that both the Republicans and the Democrats are at fault for what Cass calls their “economic piety” – an approach which places too much emphasis on achieving growth in GDP as a means of enlarging (and then redistributing) the economic pie.

Politicians have emphasised the desires of the consumer over the interests of the producer, including when it comes to issues like immigration or trade policy, and their policies have necessitated the development of an ever-more expansive welfare state.

To counteract this, Cass puts forward a “Working Hypothesis,” which states “that a labour market in which workers can support strong families and communities is the central determinant of long-term prosperity and should be the central focus of public policy.”

Much of the book is devoted to explaining the difficulties which the current policies have created. As a direct result of government decisions when it comes to environmental policies and the minimum wage, it is now more expensive to employ low-skilled workers.

Those same workers find themselves competing against large numbers of low-wage workers from other countries, and the decline of America’s once-powerful trade unions and their increasing focus on liberal political causes  have left workers badly disadvantaged.

Cass reminds his readers that the symptoms of this serious condition were evident long before the Great Recession, as wages for less-skilled workers had stagnated to the point where a man with only a high school degree could no longer support a family.

In this environment, huge numbers of able-bodied citizens dropped out of the workforce and came to rely on government assistance. The baleful consequences of this extended far beyond the realm of employment.

Readers familiar with the literature in this area will recognise some of the key works which the author cites.

Charles Murray’s Coming Apart showed how the white working class was transformed between 1960-2010, with labour participation rates, marriage rates and religious participation rates all plummeting; while Angus Deaton and Anne Case’s Deaths from Despair and the Future of Capitalism highlighted the rapid increase in fatalities from alcoholism, drug addiction and suicide in recent years.

Virtually everyone acknowledges the problem, but the consensus around “economic piety” means that the Left has neglected production and focused too much on redistribution, often by way of an expanded welfare state.

Cass rejects the view that this is beneficial, and points to statistics showing how social spending has exploded in recent decades.

Since President Lyndon Johnson launched his Great Society initiative in the 1960s, the safety net has grown to the point where the US government spends US$20,000 annually for every person living in poverty, all to little avail.

Cass also takes aim at the increasingly-fashionable viewpoint that the way to fix this is by introducing a Universal Basic Income, lamenting that we “have reached a point where the rich think paying everyone else to go away represents compassionate thinking.”

In place of economic piety, Cass proposes a system he calls “productive pluralism” and lays out a proposal for what this would involve.

“Rather than taxing low-wage work to cut other tax rates and expand entitlements, we can do the reverse: we can provide a subsidy for low-wage work, funded with higher tax rates and reduced transfer payments,” he writes.

“Instead of organised labour piling burdens atop the ones that federal regulators already place on employment relationships, we can repurpose unions to help workers and employers optimise workplace conditions.

“We can expand the demand for more of the work that more Americans can actually do if we place the concerns of the industrial economy on an equal footing with those of, say, environmentalists. We can prepare Americans to work more productively if we shift some attention and resources from the college track to other tracks down which most people actually travel.”

In each area, Cass describes the steps which would need to be taken.

Wage subsidies paid by the government, for example, would help those on low incomes without leading to a reduction in the demand for labour – which is often the effect of minimum wage hikes.

Whereas the current emphasis on increasing GDP requires large scale unskilled immigration, Cass insists that we need to improve labour-market outcomes for low-wage workers, which would probably mean a reduced inflow.

Education policy is particularly important to Cass, as politicians (particularly left-leaning ones) suggest that more spending in this area and a “college for all” strategy will ameliorate much of what is wrong with the current socio-economic system.

As Cass explains, this has failed the broad swathe of workers who have not acquired college qualifications and probably never will. His remedy involves a renewed focus on educational tracking with increased vocational opportunities from the mid-teens on, and to bring this about he calls for a large reallocation of financial resources towards apprenticeships and other such programs.

Clearly, the author does not believe that poverty can be eradicated entirely, and he proposes ideas for how to improve social supports while also strengthening the mediating institutions which have been so weakened in recent times.

Cass praises Catholic charities which operate on the ground and make the necessary careful judgements about individual needs when supplying assistance to the underprivileged, while helping them to make the right steps to achieve independence.

The influence of Catholic social teaching is shown elsewhere in Cass’s work, as when he quotes Pope John Paul II’s words in describing how associations of workers as essential “not only in negotiating contracts, but also as ‘places’ where workers can express themselves.”

Cass’s views are far from dominant within the American Right, but they are growing in influence, and his allies such as the Catholic Senator Marco Rubio are increasingly adopting similar positions focusing on the importance of dignified work.

This is important, as this is ultimately an American book, focused on the American context.

The same can be said of important books by Yuval Levin, Charles Murray, Robert Putnam and many others, and it is unfortunate that the sort of detailed social and economic analysis which these authors provide is not to be seen in political debates in Europe and elsewhere.

The Once and Future Worker has universal implications, however, in that it charts a viable course for those who accept that the current economic and social system is untenable while also recognising that the socialist alternative is undesirable, and usually involves steps which would ignore the real root causes and exacerbate social ills.

Too many people have neglected the importance of fulfilling and gainful work to human flourishing. Oren Cass’s book is a wake-up call, and should be a blueprint for reform in the coming years.
