Iran’s Supreme Leader Releases Video Depicting Assassination of Trump

My latest in PJ Media:

It’s readily available on Twitter, of course: the website of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has released a video showing the assassination of Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on the golf course at Mar-a-Lago. This comes as Iran has been issuing a barrage of threats against Trump for the killing of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani in Jan. 2020. As Biden’s handlers persevere in their attempts to appease Iran at the nuke talks in Vienna, the Islamic Republic grows more emboldened, audacious, and aggressive by the day.

The establishment media has been dragging its feet about covering the threats from Iran. After all, it isn’t as if Khamenei threatened Old Joe Biden or Nancy Pelosi. Threats to Trump? Big deal. So it was perhaps understandable that a reporter was slow on the uptake regarding the blizzard of threats the Iranians have issued against Trump and others.

A reporter asked White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki Monday if there had been any threats at all: “Jake Sullivan had a statement over the weekend with regards to Iran and sanctions and he alluded to the threats against American officials. Should we interpret from that that the U.S.’s intelligence — that there have been threats, in particular against Trump officials who were involved in the Soleimani strike?”

Psaki answered tepidly, without naming the dreaded Trump: “Well, I’m not going to get into intelligence here, from the podium.  But we’ve certainly seen concerning public rhetoric from Iranian officials about individuals from previous administrations, even before sanctions from this weekend, and that’s unacceptable.” Previous administrations? The Iranians are actually threatening to murder people from only one administration, the one that didn’t bend over backward to appease the bloodthirsty regime in Tehran.

Psaki did go on to suggest that Biden’s handlers would be working to protect those who were threatened, even their nemesis Trump: “As the National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, said in his statement over the weekend that you just referenced: ‘As Americans, we have our disagreements on politics…on Iran policy,’ and other issues, of course. ‘But we are united in our resolve against threats and provocations.  We’re united in the defense of our people.’ And we’re going to protect and defend our own people. But I’m not going to get into more specifics.”

Nor did Psaki bother to explain that the Iranians are only bold enough to issue all these threats because the Biden administration has been so supine and appeasement-minded. The Iranians even saw this coming: it is enlightening to remember what former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Nov. 5, 2020: “the next U.S. administration will surrender to the Iranian nation.” This wasn’t just tough talk. In light of Biden’s handlers’ apparent willingness to give the mullahs all they want and more, it was a sober assessment of the geopolitical situation.

There is more. Read the rest here.

FLORIDA: Teen converts to Islam, murders 13-year-old boy for ‘disrespecting his Muslim faith’

The murder of Jovanni Sierra Brand should have been the occasion for a national discussion about the phenomenon of converts to Islam becoming violent, which keeps happening, and what should be done about it. Instead, the whole thing was swept under the rug, as always.

Note the ever-witless Daily Mail’s headline: “White ISIS enthusiast…” The Mail always tries to make jihad a racial issue. It is not in this case, nor in many others where the media coverage plays up a race angle.

White ISIS enthusiast and Muslim convert, 21, is sentenced to life in prison for murdering boy, 13, and knifing two others at a birthday sleepover in 2018 after the victims ‘disrespected his faith

by Andrea Blanko, DailyMail.com, January 13, 2022 (thanks to Henry):

A white ISIS enthusiast and Muslim convert who killed a 13-year-old boy during his birthday sleepover party and injured two other people in Florida in 2018 has been sentenced to life in prison.

Corey Johnson, 21, was found guilty of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder in November 2020.

Johnson was 17 years old when he killed Jovanni Sierra Brand and knifed Elaine Simon, 43, and her 13-year-old son, Dane Bancroft, at Jovanni’s birthday sleepover, claiming that the victims had ‘idolized celebrities and disrespected his Muslim faith.’

Johnson, who considered Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin and Kim Jong Un as his role models, was known for making disparaging remarks about Jews and homosexuals, expressing support for the KKK and was described by others as a white supremacist.

His defense tried to argue the violent attack had been sparked by Johnson’s traumatic childhood and mental health issues, local news station WPBF reported.

Palm Beach County Judge Cheryl Caracuzzo sentenced Johnson to life in prison and said on Thursday she did not believe rehabilitation was likely for Johnson after he remained emotionless during the heartfelt testimony of Jovanni’s mother.

The gruesome attack happened in March 2018, at the BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, where Simon and Dane, one of Jovanni’s friends, lived.

Johnson was at the sleepover because he was a friend of Dane’s older brother, Kyle Bancroft. Before the tragedy, the boys had been to dinner to celebrate Jovanni’s thirteenth birthday and had decided to spend the night at Simon’s.

Johnson told police he read the Quran on his phone to give him ‘courage’ to carry out the bloody stabbing spree during the sleepover.

During his statement in court Thursday, Johnson said he wanted to apologize to the victims for his radical and violent attack, adding that he couldn’t begin to imagine the pain he had caused.

‘I wish I could take it back, I wish I could do something to make this right,’ Johnson said. ‘I’d like to apologize not because it will change anything, but because I’m really truly sorry.’

His defense had attempted to argue insanity, citing that both his parents had also dealt with depression and that, as a child, he had witnessed the verbal and physical abuse his father perpetrated on his mother….

Johnson also said he regretted following the Islamic extremist group ISIS, and that he hoped to help people to compensate for the crimes he had committed.

At the time of his arrest for the killing of Jovanni in 2018, Johnson already had federal charges pending against him for threatening a Catholic school in England.

In January 2017, local law enforcement agencies and FBI agents met with staff at William T Dwyer High School, where Johnson was a student at the time to discuss information suggesting that the teen had reached out to ISIS online saying that he wished to join the murderous terrorist group.

A sheriff’s detective interviewed the 17-year-old to assess his mental state and concluded that Johnson was a terrorist sympathizer, according to the report.

The FBI later informed the Jupiter Police Department that an unspecified European counter-intelligence agency was investigating Johnson in connection to threats that were made in Instagram threats that were made in October 2016 against McAuley Catholic High School in Doncaster, England.

Authorities said the threats were so serious that up to 100 students withdrew from the school for fear of an attack.

One of the threatening posts read: ‘We have our sights set on you, and by Allah we will kill every infidel student at this school inshallah) #McAuleySchoolMassacre.’ The threatening message came from an account named 81daesh48. Daesh is an alternative name for ISIS….

VICTORY: City of Asheville Agrees to End Discriminatory ‘Black Only’ Scholarships and Grants

The City of Asheville, North Carolina, settled our federal civil rights lawsuit after agreeing to remove all racially discriminatory provisions in a city-funded scholarship program. The city also agreed to remove racially discriminatory eligibility provisions in a related program that provides grants to educators. The City Council approved the settlement on January 11.

In October 2021, we filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina on behalf of a North Carolina citizens group, WNC Citizens for Equality, Inc., whose members include high school students who were ineligible for a scholarship program only because they are not Black (WNC Citizens for Equality, Inc., v. City of Asheville et al. (No. 1:21-cv-00310)). (The Legal Insurrection Foundation partnered with us in the lawsuit.)

Here’s the background. On May 5, 2021, the City of Asheville entered into an agreement with the Asheville City Schools Foundation to establish and administer the City of Asheville Scholarship Fund. According to the agreement, the City of Asheville Scholarship is “awarded in perpetuity to Black high school students within Asheville City Schools, with special consideration given for Black students pursuing a career in education.” (In July 2020, Ashville’s City Council unanimously approved what is called a “reparations initiative,” that provided “funding to programs geared toward increasing homeownership and business and career opportunities for Black residents.”)

To settle our civil rights lawsuit, on January 11, 2022, Asheville’s City Council approved a resolution that removes the racial criteria for the scholarship:

[T]he scholarship will give preference to applicants whose household members, including parents and/or guardians have a high school education or less, these applicants representing “first generation” college students.

The City Council also removed racially discriminatory language for a scholarship program for educators and staff of Asheville City Schools.

The scholarship agreements were also amended to prohibit discrimination based on race and other categories.

Our clients, a group of Asheville residents, including high school students, courageously challenged this blatantly discriminatory and illegal scholarship program in federal court.

Thankfully, the City of Asheville did the right thing in quickly ending these indefensible race-based scholarship programs.

This federal lawsuit and the resulting remarkable settlement should serve as a wake-up call to those activists and allied politicians pushing the extremist leftist agenda to segregate and discriminate based on race.

41 Inconvenient Truths on the ‘New Energy Economy’

Bill Gates has said that when it comes to understanding energy realities “we need to bring math to the problem.” He’s right.

A week doesn’t pass without a mayor, governor, policymaker or pundit joining the rush to demand, or predict, an energy future that is entirely based on wind/solar and batteries, freed from the “burden” of the hydrocarbons that have fueled societies for centuries. Regardless of one’s opinion about whether, or why, an energy “transformation” is called for, the physics and economics of energy combined with scale realities make it clear that there is no possibility of anything resembling a radically “new energy economy” in the foreseeable future. Bill Gates has said that when it comes to understanding energy realities “we need to bring math to the problem.”

He’s right. So, in my recent Manhattan Institute report, “The New Energy Economy: An Exercise in Magical Thinking,” I did just that.

Herein, then, is a summary of some of the bottom-line realities from the underlying math. (See the full report for explanations, documentation, and citations.)

1. Hydrocarbons supply over 80 percent of world energy: If all that were in the form of oil, the barrels would line up from Washington, D.C., to Los Angeles, and that entire line would grow by the height of the Washington Monument every week.

2. The small two-percentage-point decline in the hydrocarbon share of world energy use entailed over $2 trillion in cumulative global spending on alternatives over that period; solar and wind today supply less than two percent of the global energy.

3. When the world’s four billion poor people increase energy use to just one-third of Europe’s per capita level, global demand rises by an amount equal to twice America’s total consumption.

4. A 100x growth in the number of electric vehicles to 400 million on the roads by 2040 would displace five percent of global oil demand.

5. Renewable energy would have to expand 90-fold to replace global hydrocarbons in two decades. It took a half-century for global petroleum production to expand “only” ten-fold.

6. Replacing U.S. hydrocarbon-based electric generation over the next 30 years would require a construction program building out the grid at a rate 14-fold greater than any time in history.

7. Eliminating hydrocarbons to make U.S. electricity (impossible soon, infeasible for decades) would leave untouched 70 percent of U.S. hydrocarbons use—America uses 16 percent of world energy.

8. Efficiency increases energy demand by making products & services cheaper: since 1990, global energy efficiency improved 33 percent, the economy grew 80 percent and global energy use is up 40 percent.

9. Efficiency increases energy demand: Since 1995, aviation fuel use/passenger-mile is down 70 percent, air traffic rose more than 10-fold, and global aviation fuel use rose over 50 percent.

10. Efficiency increases energy demand: since 1995, energy used per byte is down about 10,000-fold, but global data traffic rose about a million-fold; global electricity used for computing soared.

11. Since 1995, total world energy use rose by 50 percent, an amount equal to adding two entire United States’ worth of demand.

12. For security and reliability, an average of two months of national demand for hydrocarbons are in storage at any time. Today, barely two hours of national electricity demand can be stored in all utility-scale batteries plus all batteries in one million electric cars in America.

13. Batteries produced annually by the Tesla Gigafactory (world’s biggest battery factory) can store three minutes worth of annual U.S. electric demand.

14. To make enough batteries to store two day’s worth of U.S. electricity demand would require 1,000 years of production by the Gigafactory (world’s biggest battery factory).

15. Every $1 billion in aircraft produced leads to some $5 billion in aviation fuel consumed over two decades to operate them. Global spending on new jets is more than $50 billion a year—and rising.

16. Every $1 billion spent on data centers leads to $7 billion in electricity consumed over two decades. Global spending on data centers is more than $100 billion a year—and rising.

17. Over a 30-year period, $1 million worth of utility-scale solar or wind produces 40 million and 55 million kWh respectively: $1 million worth of shale well produces enough natural gas to generate 300 million kWh over 30 years.

18. It costs about the same to build one shale well or two wind turbines: the latter, combined, produces 0.7 barrels of oil (equivalent energy) per hourthe shale rig averages 10 barrels of oil per hour.

19. It costs less than $0.50 to store a barrel of oil, or its equivalent in natural gas, but it costs $200 to store the equivalent energy of a barrel of oil in batteries.

20. Cost models for wind and solar assume, respectively, 41 percent and 29 percent capacity factors (i.e., how often they produce electricity). Real-world data reveal as much as ten percentage points less for both. That translates into $3 million less energy produced than assumed over a 20-year life of a 2-MW $3 million wind turbine.

21. In order to compensate for episodic wind/solar output, U.S. utilities are using oil- and gas-burning reciprocating engines (big cruise-ship-like diesels); three times as many have been added to the grid since 2000 as in the 50 years prior to that.

22. Wind-farm capacity factors have improved at about 0.7 percent per year; this small gain comes mainly from reducing the number of turbines per acre leading to a 50 percent increase in average land used to produce a wind-kilowatt-hour.

23. Over 90 percent of America’s electricity, and 99 percent of the power used in transportation, comes from sources that can easily supply energy to the economy any time the market demands it.

24. Wind and solar machines produce energy an average of 25 percent–30 percent of the time, and only when nature permits. Conventional power plants can operate nearly continuously and are available when needed.

25. The shale revolution collapsed the prices of natural gas & coal, the two fuels that produce 70 percent of U.S. electricity. But electric rates haven’t gone down, rising instead 20 percent since 2008. Direct and indirect subsidies for solar and wind consumed those savings.

26. Politicians and pundits like to invoke “moonshot” language. But transforming the energy economy is not like putting a few people on the moon a few times. It is like putting all of humanity on the moon—permanently.

27. The common cliché: an energy tech disruption will echo the digital tech disruption. But information-producing machines and energy-producing machines involve profoundly different physics; the cliché is sillier than comparing apples to bowling balls.

28. If solar power scaled like computer-tech, a single postage-stamp-size solar array would power the Empire State Building. That only happens in comic books.

29. If batteries scaled like digital tech, a battery the size of a book, costing three cents, could power a jetliner to Asia. That only happens in comic books.

30. If combustion engines scaled like computers, a car engine would shrink to the size of an ant and produce a thousand-fold more horsepower; actual ant-sized engines produce 100,000 times less power.

31. No digital-like 10x gains exist for solar tech. Physics limit for solar cells (the Shockley-Queisser limit) is a max conversion of about 33 percent of photons into electrons; commercial cells today are at 26 percent.

32. No digital-like 10x gains exist for wind tech. Physics limit for wind turbines (the Betz limit) is a max capture of 60 percent of energy in moving air; commercial turbines achieve 45 percent.

33. No digital-like 10x gains exist for batteries: maximum theoretical energy in a pound of oil is 1,500 percent greater than max theoretical energy in the best pound of battery chemicals.

34. About 60 pounds of batteries are needed to store the energy equivalent of one pound of hydrocarbons.

35. At least 100 pounds of materials are mined, moved and processed for every pound of battery fabricated.

36. Storing the energy equivalent of one barrel of oil, which weighs 300 pounds, requires 20,000 pounds of Tesla batteries ($200,000 worth).

37. Carrying the energy equivalent of the aviation fuel used by an aircraft flying to Asia would require $60 million worth of Tesla-type batteries weighing five times more than that aircraft.

38. It takes the energy equivalent of 100 barrels of oil to fabricate a quantity of batteries that can store the energy equivalent of a single barrel of oil.

39. A battery-centric grid and car world means mining gigatons more of the earth to access lithium, copper, nickel, graphite, rare earths, cobalt, etc.—and using millions of tons of oil and coal both in mining and to fabricate metals and concrete.

40. China dominates global battery production with its grid 70 percent coal-fueled: EVs using Chinese batteries will create more carbon-dioxide than saved by replacing oil-burning engines.

41. One would no more use helicopters for regular trans-Atlantic travel—doable with elaborately expensive logistics—than employ a nuclear reactor to power a train or photovoltaic systems to power a nation.

How can you take control of the world? Make Green the new Red!

How can you take control of the world? By convincing the world’s people they will die if they don’t do what you say. And for the last four decades, that is what’s been done with climate alarmism, the greatest scientific hoax the world has ever seen, an international collusion to plunder trillions of dollars from the world’s greatest capitalist nation, all under the guise of “saving the planet.”

According to propaganda on the website of the World Economic Forum, the communist organization’s “Great Reset” initiative will save Earth from climate apocalypse by “resetting the direction of national economies.”

Translation: By using climate alarmism to frighten citizens of capitalist nations to acquiesce to communism. The article below contains shocking statements by three senior level UN climate officials that will leave your jaw on the floor.

Green is the new Red: The terrifying agenda behind climate alarmism

Twelve years ago, a climate research cheating scandal known as ‘Climategate 2009’ rocked the scientific world to the core. Hacked emails among highly influential scientists at the center of worldwide hysteria over climate change reportedly were rife with routine data tampering and other instances of flagrant scientific misconduct. Although the scientists implicated denied wrong-doing, emails hacked from computers at their employer, the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, reportedly revealed a consistent pattern of climate data manipulation, conspiracies to falsify data and withhold findings that cast serious doubt on man-made global warming theory, to exaggerate the existence and threats posed by global warming, and to obstruct contrary research from appearing in scholarly publications. Aided and abetted by a complicit western media establishment, the climate crisis industry dismissed the scandal as much ado about nothing and continued beating the drums of climate hysteria as if nothing had happened.

Climategate 2009 tore off the fraudulent façade of global warming alarmism

The Climategate cheating scandal exposed man-made global warming theory for what it is: the most brazen scientific hoax in human history, an international collusion to destroy capitalism in the world’s largest capitalist nation to pave the way for that nation’s sovereignty being handed over to a global governing authority run by the United Nations. That is a serious charge on my part, so please allow me to justify it by citing the words of three high profile UN climate officials in the thick of the plot to strip away America’s sovereignty.

Christiana Figueres served as Executive Secretary of the UN’s Framework Convention on Climate Change from 2010-16. In a frank admission that laid bare the stealth agenda behind climate alarmism, Figueres said during a February 2015 press conference in Brussels that the UN’s real purpose in promoting climate fear is to kill off capitalism throughout the world:

“This is the first time in human history that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally changing [getting rid of] the economic development model that has reigned since the Industrial Revolution”.

The economic model to which she referred is free-market capitalism. A year earlier, Figueres revealed what U.S. capitalism must be replaced with when she bitterly complained that America’s two-party constitutional system is hampering the UN’s climate objectives. She went on to cite China’s communist system as the kind of government America must have if the UN is to do as it pleases.

Figueres is not alone in embracing communism. Another high-level UN official had comments of his own about the stealth agenda behind climate alarmism. If you’re among those who believe climate alarmists when they tell you all they’re trying to do is save the planet, what Dr. Ottmar Edenhofer had to say will leave you feeling betrayed. In a Nov. 14, 2010 interview with Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Edenhofer, co-chair of the UN IPCC’s Working Group III, made this stunning admission:

“One must free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. [What we’re doing] has almost nothing to do with the climate. We must state clearly that we use climate policy to [re]distribute de facto the world’s wealth.”

On the same date, Edenhofer added this

“Climate policy has almost nothing to do anymore with protecting the environment. The next world climate summit in Cancun is actually an economy summit during which [re]distribution of the world’s resources will be negotiated.”

Dr. Ottmar Edenhofer, one of the UN’s top climate officials, effectively admitted that the organization’s public position on climate change is a hoax. The same admission was made in July 2019 by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, who told Gov. Jay Inslee (D-WA) that the Green New Deal is not about saving the planet:

“It wasn’t originally a climate thing at all … we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.”

Translation: The intent of the Green New Deal is not to “save the planet,” but rather to use climate alarmism as a pretext to dismantle America’s capitalist economy. Virtually the same sinister intent was expressed to reporters at the 2018 Climate Conference in Katowice, Poland by then-UN climate chief, Patricia Espinosa:

“We require deep transformations of economies and societies.”

Figueres, Edenhofer, Chakrabarti and Espinosa aren’t the only hardened communists to recognize the effectiveness of using environmental hysteria as a fig leaf to hide their true intent. In 1996, former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev advocated using climate fear to create a global demand for communism:

“The threat of environmental crisis will be the international disaster key to unlock the New World Order.”

The “new world order” to which he referred is global governance under the banner of the hammer and sickle, the same objective subsequently called for, in 2015, by then-UN climate chief, Christiana Figueres.

The Great Reset

Global governance is the objective of the World Economic Forum (WEF), which announced last year its “Great Reset” initiative. According to the organization’s website, the Great Reset will address challenges like global warming by resetting “the direction of national economies.” Translation: Using climate policy as a slight-of-hand means to force western nations, especially America, to give up capitalism in favor of communism.

At a September 2020 panel discussion hosted by the WEF and the UN, John Kerry, who would later be appointed as President Biden’s climate czar, said this about Biden’s intent to impose the Great Reset on America:

“Yes, the Great Reset will happen, and I think it will happen with greater speed and greater intensity than a lot of people imagine.”

The Great Reset is a desperate push to culminate the progressive dream of unifying the western world under communism. For that to occur, America’s sovereignty must be ceded to the UN, an organization infested from top to bottom with Marxist revolutionaries hell-bent on dismantling capitalist economies and national sovereignties wherever they exist. German chancellor Angela Merkel, a prominent member of the WEF, revealed the intent of the Great Reset when she said the following during a 2018 speech in Berlin:

“Nations must be ready to give up sovereignty.”

In other words, for a New World Order to impose its will on citizens of the western world, the sovereignty of the greatest crown jewel of them all—the United States of America—must be stripped away.

They’re coming for your liberty

The stunning pronouncements by Figueres, Edenhofer, and Espinosa and are all the evidence a rational mind needs to conclude that climate alarmism is being used as a Trojan horse to justify the stratospheric new carbon taxes clamored for by climate charlatans like Al Gore, Barack Obama, John Kerry and Bill Gates, none of whom have denounced the profoundly anti-American sentiments of three of the UN’s top climate officials.

The words of one of those officials revealed that such taxes would be used not for environmental healing, but to fund the most massive redistribution of wealth in history, literally trillions of dollars extracted under false pretenses from hard-working U.S. taxpayers, and handed over to corrupt governments of every undeveloped nation on Earth, all in the guise of “climate aid.”

Powerful progressives in this country feel it’s not fair that billions of people in the world sleep on the ground in mud huts, while Americans sleep on soft mattresses in air-conditioned comfort. The progressive elites who feel that way also believe that America’s wealth must therefore be redistributed to an unprecedented extent to the world’s poor nations.

Progressives in high places are attempting the largest heist in human history, a collusion to plunder unprecedented sums from taxpayers of the world’s largest capitalist nation. Why? To implement on a global scale the mandate set forth in The Communist Manifesto:

“From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.”

The high profile progressives who push climate fear would have you believe they’re nothing more than environmentally-concerned Americans who would never even dream of participating in a traitorous attempt to turn their country communist. These Marxist wolves in sheep’s clothing have been lying to you, and now you know it. Their sinister intent is to use massive new global warming taxes to control every aspect of your life: where you’re allowed to live, the size of house you’re allowed to have, the thermostat settings in your home, the kind of car you’re allowed to buy, the amount of miles you’re allowed to drive, your freedom to travel by air, and the kind of food you’re allowed to eat. In short, they’re coming for your liberty.

Bottom line

No rational person can fail to see that the Democratic Party is using climate alarmism as a ruse to fundamentally transform the United States of America.  But because the human ego is loathe to admit it’s been duped, many patriotic Democrats will continue allowing themselves to be led like sheep into the closing noose of the hammer and sickle. By the time they realize what happened, it will be too late.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ 2022 State of the State Address

“While so many around the country have consigned the people’s rights to the graveyard, Florida has stood as freedom’s vanguard.”

TRANSCRIPT

Mr. Speaker, Mr. President, members of the Legislature and fellow citizens:

Together we have made Florida the freest state in these United States.

While so many around the country have consigned the people’s rights to the graveyard, Florida has stood as freedom’s vanguard.

In Florida, we have protected the right of our citizens to earn a living, provided our businesses with the ability to prosper, fought back against unconstitutional federal mandates and ensured our kids have the opportunity to thrive.

Florida has become the escape hatch for those chafing under authoritarian, arbitrary and seemingly never-ending mandates and restrictions.

Even today, across the nation we see students denied an education due to reckless, politically-motivated school closures, workers denied employment due to heavy-handed mandates and Americans denied freedoms due to a coercive biomedical apparatus.

These unprecedented policies have been as ineffective as they have been destructive. They are grounded more in blind adherence to Faucian declarations than they are in the constitutional traditions that are the foundation of free nations.

Florida is a free state. We reject the biomedical security state that curtails liberty, ruins livelihoods and divides society. And we will protect the rights of individuals to live their lives free from the yoke of restrictions and mandates.

Florida has stood strong as the rock of freedom. And upon this rock we must build Florida’s future.

We will, fortunately, be able to confront our challenges with an incredibly favorable budget outlook and strong economic performance that has withstood unfavorable national headwinds:

My recommended budget of $99.7 billion has more than $15 billion in reserve — one of the largest surpluses in state history.

Florida’s revenues have exceeded estimates by billions of dollars over the past year. December’s revenues came in at more than $500 million over the latest monthly estimate.

And this is all being done with no income tax and the lowest per capita tax burden in America.

Job creation in Florida is far exceeding the national average. And our labor force has increased six times faster than the nation’s.

Florida also leads the nation in business formations, which have increased by 61% since I took office in 2019. In 2021, Florida saw 114,000 more new businesses than second place California — even though California has a population that is 40% larger.

Freedom works. Our economy is the envy of the nation. And the state is well-prepared to withstand future economic turmoil.

Our nation is, though, facing economic problems stemming from reckless federal policies, especially the most sustained Inflation our country has witnessed in decades. The federal government has borrowed and printed unprecedented sums of money, and the bill is coming due.

Inflation is an invisible tax. It represents a pay cut for individuals and families alike. And one of the ways families have felt the pinch has been in significantly higher gas prices.

To help alleviate this burden for Florida families, I am proposing a $1 billion gas tax holiday to help reduce prices at the pump. If Washington, D.C., won’t change course, then we have a responsibility to step up on behalf of Floridians.

Education represents a major pillar of Florida’s future. I’m happy to note that Florida is again ranked number three for K-12 achievement in the latest Education Week Quality Counts rankings. We have worked hard to keep schools open, increase teacher compensation, promote workforce education and protect the rights of parents.

In pockets across America, schools are closing once again. These closures are enormously destructive and will not be tolerated in the state of Florida.

Florida has led the way in putting our kids first. In the summer of 2020, when it wasn’t fashionable, we made clear that kids needed to be in school.  We faced opposition — from hysterical media, from unions and the politicians they control. We even faced lawsuits aiming to close the schools, but we wouldn’t allow fear or politics to harm our kids. We were right and they were wrong. And millions of families in Florida are better for it.

While it is important to embrace high academic standards and to measure student achievement, the FSA test is not the best way to do it. I am proposing the elimination of the FSA and replacing it with periodic progress monitoring. This will lead to meaningful feedback for parents and teachers and will reduce the amount of time dedicated to testing, leaving more time for learning. This reform will be better for students, teachers and parents, and it will help Florida remain a leader in education reform.

Over the past two years, we have increased the average minimum salary for teachers by more than $6,000. And last year, we provided $1,000 bonuses to every public school teacher and principal in the state.

Brittany Duquaine is a teacher at Lakewood Elementary School in Pinellas County. She has benefitted from the bonuses and salary increases and the experience at Lakewood shows why this is important, as Brittany and her colleagues took the school from an F grade in 2019 to an A grade in 2021.

Let’s continue this progress by further increasing teacher pay and by approving $1,000 bonuses for a second year in a row.

Florida has enacted a Parents’ Bill of Rights and we reject the notion that parents shouldn’t have a say in what their kids learn in school. Indeed, Florida law should provide parents with the right to review the curriculum used in their children’s schools. We should provide parents with recourse so that state standards are enforced, such as Florida’s prohibition on infusing subjects with critical race theory in our classrooms.

Quisha King is a mother from Duval County who has joined moms all across Florida and America to speak out against divisive ideologies like CRT.

These moms are standing up for a principle that is the policy of the state of Florida: Our tax dollars should not be used to teach our kids to hate our country or to hate each other.

Florida’s public college and university system is ranked number one in the nation yet again. Higher education must remain affordable for Florida families. I will not support any tuition increases at Florida’s colleges and universities and I oppose cutting Bright Futures scholarships, which have benefitted many Florida families.

As proud as we are of the quality and affordability of Florida’s university system, a four-year education at a traditional brick-and-ivy school isn’t the only pathway to success. Over the past three years, Florida has added more than 50 new apprenticeship programs. The credentials earned through our workforce initiatives have paved the way for employment in a variety of fields like aviation, logistics and welding. These are as valuable and as honorable endeavors as attending august universities, and they deserve our support.

Florida’s dedicated focus on the skilled trades will help expand the state’s manufacturing footprint. We have already seen businesses move here from other states and we should also be actively encouraging businesses to repatriate production back to America from foreign countries. Do we really want our supply chains to be captive to the whims of a country such as Communist China?

Florida’s economic security is also linked to the stewardship of our natural resources.

We Floridians are heirs to a unique environment that makes our state the envy of the nation for fishing, boating and other outdoor activities. Three years ago, we promised bold action to safeguard Florida’s natural resources, improve water quality and restore the Everglades. With the support of the Legislature, especially Speaker Chris Sprowls and President Wilton Simpson, we have secured historic funding to support these efforts.

Since January 2019, 42 Everglades restoration projects have broken ground, hit a major milestone or finished construction, record funding has gone to conduct research and secure technologies to mitigate blue-green algae and red tide, and the state now has dedicated streams of revenue to promote coastal resiliency and water quality improvements.

We have even made enormous strides in removing invasive Burmese pythons from the Everglades. In the gallery today is the reigning python king, Charlie Dachton, who caught a whopping 41 pythons in our 2021 statewide contest.

We resolved to leave our unique natural inheritance to God better than we found it, and we are fulfilling that pledge.

We also will continue to honor our commitment to safe communities.

Florida is a law and order state.

We will not allow law enforcement to be defunded, bail to be eliminated, criminals to be prematurely released from prison or prosecutors to ignore the law.

These soft-on-crime policies have been tried in communities throughout the country to disastrous results: crime has skyrocketed, morale for police officers has plummeted and quality of life has been destroyed.

We have stood by the men and women of law enforcement. Not only do we reject defunding law enforcement — we enacted $1,000 bonuses for all police, fire and EMTs in Florida. I’m asking the Legislature to re-up these bonuses for another year. They deserve it.

Serving in law enforcement is a noble calling and we will not allow our officers to be smeared by reckless politicians and corporate media. My proposals to increase pay for state law enforcement by up to 25% and to provide $5,000 signing bonuses to law enforcement personnel who either transfer to or begin their careers in Florida will spark a tidal wave of qualified professionals seeking employment at agencies throughout the state.

I’m happy to be joined by Officer Yehuda Topper from the North Miami Beach Police Department, who moved from NYC and is the state’s first orthodox Jewish police officer.

Let there be no doubt to those who wear the uniform: the state of Florida stands with you!

Law and order requires strong borders. The crisis at the US-Mexico border over the past year has witnessed staggering illegal migration and a massive influx of narcotics like fentanyl. Rather than defend our sovereignty and enforce the border, the federal government has released hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens to communities across the U.S., shipping them to Florida at alarming rates, including by sending clandestine flights in the dark of night.

As a state, we cannot be a party to what is effectively a massive human smuggling operation run by the federal government. Companies who are facilitating the movement of illegal aliens from the southern border to Florida should be held accountable, including by paying restitution to the state for all the costs they are imposing on our communities. I am also requesting funds so that when the feds dump illegal aliens in Florida, the state can re-route them to states that have sanctuary policies.

Florida should not be made to bear the burden of our federal government’s lawless open border policies.

The rule of law also means that our citizens have the ability to participate in elections that are secure and transparent.

It is Orwellian doublespeak to invoke the concept of “Voting rights” to mean ballot harvesting, prohibiting voter ID and taxpayer funding of elections. Those are political concepts that erode the integrity of our elections.

Ballot harvesting has no place in Florida and we need to increase the penalties for those who do it. We also need to ensure that supervisors clean the voter rolls, that only citizens are registered to vote and that mail ballots only go to those who actually request them before each individual election.

To ensure that elections are conducted in accordance with the rule of law, I have proposed an election integrity unit whose sole focus will be the enforcement of Florida’s election laws. This will facilitate the faithful enforcement of election laws and will provide Floridians with the confidence that their vote will count.

Our constitutional rights have been under assault on a number of fronts and Florida has stood tall in defending the rights of its people.

A free society requires the ability to have robust discussions about issues of public importance, yet today Big Tech companies have used their platforms to elevate preferred narratives and to stifle dissent, serving as a de facto council of censors. Florida was the first state to legislate protections for its citizens and we should build on this success.

These same companies make a fortune by selling user data. Floridians should not have their data utilized by Big Tech without providing affirmative consent and I urge the Legislature to enact protections for the data privacy of all Floridians.

I also recommend that the Legislature strengthen protections for Floridians’ 2nd Amendment rights. These important rights should not depend on the whims of politicians who reject the existence of those rights.

Finally, we have an opportunity to strengthen protections for the right to life, without which the other rights mean little.

Protecting life does not end with the unborn. It must also include continued efforts to promote adoption and foster care so that all Floridians have a fair chance in life. Florida has 4,000 more licensed caregivers than in 2019 and I am proposing additional funds for foster parents in next year’s budget.

Nobody has done more to support Florida’s children than our First Lady, whose Pathway to Prosperity program has served more than 17,000 families in need through a collaboration between DCF and the faith community.

On behalf of our family, I want to personally thank everyone who has sent prayers and well-wishes for her recovery from breast cancer. Casey is strong, resilient, and has a husband and three kids who love her dearly. 2022 is the year she will be cancer free!

Florida has understood how important it is to put our seniors first, and we have done that time and again over the past two years.

Most recently, we led the nation in raising awareness of and expanding access to monoclonal antibody treatments. This effort has kept thousands of seniors out of the hospital and has saved many lives.

Wally and Doris Cortese from Cape Coral are with us today. Wally is a WWII and Korean War veteran who has been married to Doris for 62 years. When they both contracted COVID-19, they utilized monoclonal treatments to make full recoveries. God bless you both.

On June 24, millions of Floridians were shocked to wake up the news of a catastrophic partial collapse at the Champlain Towers South condominium complex.

First responders rescued dozens of people from an adjoining tower and searched a massive pile of rubble for survivors for weeks.

Our first responders poured their heart and soul into the rescue efforts. Ray Jadallah is the assistant chief of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue who helped lead those efforts. We thank Ray and all the members of the Urban Search and Rescue Teams that worked tirelessly during those very difficult days.

The loss of the 98 victims who perished in the collapse has been devastating and incalculable.

One of the victims was 92 year old the Hilda Noriega, whose son, North Bay Village Chief of Police Carlos Noriega, and grandchildren are with us today. Hilda was the matriarch of an amazing family and is dearly missed by those who knew her.

The grief and anguish endured by the Noriega family and the other Surfside families has been overwhelming, and reminds us that:

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those whose spirits are crushed.”

Our state should provide support for an appropriate memorial so that future generations will never forget the legacies of the victims of that terrible event.

The Surfside tragedy reminds us that you never know what tomorrow will bring. Don’t take anything for granted and make the most out of each and every day.

We have sixty days to work together to build upon our rock of freedom. Lost time is never found again. Seize the moment. And be thankful that God has blessed us to live and serve in America’s liberty outpost, the free state of Florida!

Single Payer: A Toxic Brew of Politics and Medicine

The Left’s dream of socialized medicine is still kicking around.  The Left has been salivating for single payer for a hundred years, and they’re not about to give up now.

A single payer healthcare proposal made it out of a committee in California’s legislative Assembly earlier this week.  Governor Gavin Newsom campaigned on single payer in 2018, but a separate measure would have to be put to the voters to fund the gargantuan program with huge tax increases.  Even then, the tax increases being proposed would only bring in less than half of what single payer was estimated to cost when it was considered in 2018.  Unsurprisingly, there are no cost estimates this time, because the idea was shelved in 2018 after Californians realized how much it would cost.  The same reality check occurred some years ago in Vermont.  Single payer died there when it became known payroll taxes would have to consume 25 percent of everyone’s paycheck to pay for it.

The radical California Nurses Association is pushing single payer, holding a ‘Day of Action’ in 15 California cities last Saturday.   Leftists elsewhere in the country also continue to agitate for single payer.  A nationwide march for single payer was also held last Saturday in all 50 states.   Far-left publications recently urged their readers to continue to fight for single payer, although the publications are split on whether to fight at the national or state level.  The Yale School of Medicine ran an editorial praising single payer and the resolution New Haven passed last August supporting Medicare for All for the entire country.

Similar resolutions passed in several New Jersey cities and Duluth last year.  Single payer proposals are also kicking around in New YorkOregon, and Ohio.  The idea has not been abandoned at the national level, either.  Joe Biden’s Build Back Better proposal would put more building blocks in place by creating a public option for health insurance, increasing Obamacare subsidies, and ramping up Medicaid.  Critics say this is just a stone’s throw away from single payer.

But no matter how you get there, single payer is still a bad idea.  The stratospheric cost is reason enough to oppose single payer, not to mention the experience of the National Health System in Britain which shows such programs are continually broke and always pleading for more money.  There’s never enough money for single payer and, when more money isn’t forthcoming, single payer is forced to ration your healthcare even more than it usually does.  Long wait times and rationing, that’s the fate of anyone on single payer.  It takes three years to get a tooth removed in Britain.  Is that what you want?

Horror stories about rationing and long waits are familiar.  But there’s another aspect of single payer that’s just as insidious that doesn’t get nearly enough attention.  Healthcare would become completely politicized under single payer and, if private medicine is banned, you won’t have anywhere else to go.  Look what’s happened recently in the pandemic.  The federal government told Florida to pound Daytona Beach sand when the state asked for more monoclonal antibody treatments.    The Woke FDA is saying life-saving COVID treatments should be doled out based on skin color.  That’s despicable.  We also have the spectacle of public health authorities falling all over themselves lately to tell everyone they need an N95 mask.   Maryland’s going to give out 20 million of them.  In case you haven’t figured it out yet, what this really means is everything you’ve been told about cloth masks for the last two years has been a lie – that cloth masks work and should be mandated.  You’ve been fed a line of bull for political reasons.   What do you think’s going to happen when the government gets its hands on all of healthcare under single payer?   Every single aspect of medicine will become politicized.  You will be told what healthcare you can have and no more.  You will be told how to behave and what rules you must obey in order to get it.  Too bad for you if Washington decides it doesn’t like your diet or your lifestyle choices.  When rationing isn’t enough, we will have to bring the hammer down to make sure you don’t cost the government too much money for your healthcare.

And, of course, the politicians who pass single payer and implement it will exempt themselves from whatever rules they impose on the rest of us.  That’s what happened in Obamacare with the congressional exemption.  It’ll happen again in spades if you fall for single payer.  You’ve been warned.

PODCAST: No One’s Pushing This Sheriff Around

Sheriff Jody Greene is unapologetic and Walking Tall.

A North Carolina sheriff is refusing to be bullied into removing a Bible verse from his Columbus County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina.

Sheriff Jody Greene sat with Christian Action Network’s Shout Out Patriots podcast to talk about a thuggish atheist group and other challenges of police work in 2022.

The challenges aren’t just the epidemic of drug use, overdoses, domestic strife and crime poisoning every state in the nation. There are also people like the Freedom From Religion Foundation of Madison, Wis. who are standing ready to attack people of faith for the things they lean on for strength.

Here’s the verse Sheriff Jody Greene had inscribed in big, black letters on the wall of his department – which is not coming down:

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13)

The picture went viral enough for someone to see it, and see a way to attack the first Republican ever to elected sheriff in a “theoretically Democratic county,” as Greene put it.

“It’s a political attack,” he said in the Shout Out Patriots episode.

Greene, who is a former North Carolina state trooper, said the United States faces much, much larger problems in 2022 than words on a sheriff’s office wall: Society is emasculating men!

“It’s already happening. They’re breeding manhood out of our society. A child gets in a fight at school now. What happens to them? They’re expelled, they’re charged or whatever. They don’t learn how to be men, so the first thing you want to do is grab a gun.”

“So if they’re held to that standard, and all they want to do is play video games, how are they going to be productive?”

Listen to and watch the entire discussion on the Jan. 4 edition of Shout Out Patriots.

WARNING: The Purge of White People Is Happening Right Now!

“It is impossible to found a civilisation on fear and hatred and cruelty. It would never endure.” ― George Orwell

The purge of white people has now reached an alarming level. We are seeing whites purged from the legacy media, social media, from receiving healthcare and now from TV commercials.

In a January 8th, 2022 American Thinker column titled “Why are Caucasians Vanishing from TV Commercials?Jacob Fraden wrote:

Commercials take up 27% of commercial television screen time and are the main source of income for TV and radio stations.

[ … ]

In the United States today, the White population (not including Hispanics) is 57.8%. In real life, Caucasians are still in the majority, but now on TV and the Internet, they are swept under the rug like trash. Blacks comprise 14% of the U.S. population but appear in 50% of commercials. White actors now appear to promote health insurance, gold, loans, and some medicines. Moreover, if a White person appears in a commercial, he/she is usually old, sick, a freak, or at the very least, an appendage to a Black partner. If there’s a doctor on the screen, he’s usually Black, while the patient is usually White. Caucasian young men appear in only 4% of the commercials! If some aliens began to study the population of Planet Earth through our TV commercials they would have a somewhat distorted picture of Americans, to put it mildly. [Emphasis added]

QUESTION: Are We Witnessing a Great White Purge leading to White Genocide?

The Great White Purge

Since 2016 we have witnessed “anti-white rhetoric” building up to the point where, some of those who are white, are living in fear. Fear of being cancelled as a race. Fear of losing their jobs because they are white. Fear of being demonized and even attacked on the streets just because they are white.

It began with the labeling of any and all whites as “racists.”

Statues of white men like Robert E. Lee, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt were torn down by angry mobs or ordered removed by government edicts.

Then it moved to the next level of labeling anyone who is white a “supremacist.”

Then, after the death of George Floyd, was the introduction of Critical Race Theory into our public schools, colleges, universities and even taught by corporations to their employees. Critical Race Theory teaches nonwhites to hate whites and whites to hate themselves for being white.

Then the rhetoric became a passionate call to “kill all whites.” Killing whites metaphorically wasn’t enough. Now whites must be hunted down and killed by all means necessary.

On February 9th, 2016 Black Lives Matter co-founder Yusra Khogali sent out a tweet – that was subsequently taken down – that read:

“Plz Allah give me strength to not cuss/kill these men and white folks out here today. Plz plz plz.”

On January 9th, 2017 in a column titled “Left’s Mission Accomplished: Blacks Torturing Whites” Lloyd Marcus wrote:

Upon hearing that 4 blacks kidnapped and tortured a disabled white man, I wanted to say to the Left (Democrats, mainstream media, Hollywood and Black Lives Matter), “Mission accomplished.” The 4 pieces of pond-scum forced their white hostage to say f*** Trump and f*** white people.

Folks, make no mistake about it. While some on the Left claim to be upset, this is exactly the hate and violence they hope to generate throughout Trump’s entire presidency. A farmer does not plant corn and then is surprised when stalks of corn begin to grow. The Left has been planting seeds of racial hate and division ever since white America elected Obama. Why? Because the Left needed to be able to scream “racism” whenever anyone opposed Obama (their Trojan Horse) implementing their far-left-radical socialist/progressive agenda.

America is now reaping what has been sown – in the name of “equality” and “social justice” – a hatred for white people.

To understand just read the Black Lives Matter’s Seven Demands:

  1. Convict and ban Trump from future political office: We are joining Rep. Ilhan Omar, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, Rep. Cori Bush, Rep. Jamaal Bowman, and others who are demanding Trump be immediately convicted in the United States Senate. Trump must also be banned from holding elected office in the future. Call your members of Congress and demand they support conviction by dialing (202) 224-3121.
  2. Expel Republican members of Congress who attempted to overturn the election and incited a white supremacist attack: More than half the Republican representatives and multiple senators stoked Trump’s conspiracy theories and encouraged the white supremacists to take action to overturn the election. We are supporting Rep. Cori Bush’s resolution to expel them from Congress for their dangerous and traitorous actions. We also support steps to bar them from seeking another office.
  3. Launch a full investigation into the ties between white supremacy and the Capitol Police, law enforcement, and the military: The Capitol was able to be breached and overrun by white supremacists attempting to disrupt a political process that is fundamental to our democracy. We know that police departments have been a safe haven for white supremacists to hide malintent behind a badge, because the badge was created for that purpose. We also know off-duty cops and military were among the mob at the Capitol on January 6th. Guilty parties need to be held accountable and fired. We are supporting Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s COUP Act to investigate these connections.
  4. Permanently ban Trump from all digital media platforms: Trump has always used his digital media platforms recklessly and irresponsibly to spread lies and disinformation. Now it is clearer than ever that his digital media is also used to incite violence and promote its continuation. He must be stopped from encouraging his mob and further endangering our communities, even after inauguration.
  5. Defund the police: The police that met our BLM protestors this summer with assault rifles, teargas, and military-grade protective gear were the same police that, on Wednesday, met white supremacists with patience and the benefit of the doubt, going so far as to pose for selfies with rioters. The contrast was jarring, but not for Black people. We have always known who the police truly protect and serve. D.C. has the most police per capita in the country; more funding is not the solution.
  6. Don’t let the coup be used as an excuse to crack down on our movement: In response to the coup, Politicians have already introduced the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021. We’ve seen this playbook before. These laws are used to target Black and brown communities for heightened surveillance. Republicans are already busy trying to create an equivalence between the mob on January 6th and our Freedom Summer. We don’t need new domestic terror laws, facial recognition, or any other new police power for the state. Our government should protect righteous protest and stay focused on the real issue: rooting out white supremacy. There are enough laws, resources, and intelligence, but they were not used to stop the coup. Our elected officials must uncover why.
  7. Pass the BREATHE Act: The police were born out of slave patrols. We cannot reform an institution built upon white supremacy. We need a new, radical approach to public safety and community investment. President Biden has already drawn on the BREATHE Act in his executive actions calling for racial equity screens in federal programs, investing in environmental justice at historic levels, and engaging with system-impacted communities. The BREATHE Act paints a vision of a world where Black lives matter through investments in housing, education, health, and environmental justice.

The Bottom Line

Book Burning – On May 10, 1933, university students in 34 university towns across Germany burned over 25,000 books. The works of Jewish authors like Albert Einstein and Sigmund Freud went up in flames alongside blacklisted American authors such as Ernest Hemingway and Helen Keller, while students gave the Nazi salute.  They called it “purging.”

What the heck happened in Germany in the ’20s and ’30s? Very intelligent, highly-educated population and they went barking mad. How did that happen? The answer is “mass formation psychosis”. Watch Dr. Robert Malone explain Mass Formation Psychosis:

Fast forward to 2022 and we are seeing another form of purging.

It is the purging of all things white by Black Lives Matter and members of the cancel culture.

Lloyd Marcus, who is black, asked the following:

As a decent human being, you are probably asking, Lloyd, why would Democrats sow lies to grow racial hate in black Americans?”

Answer: The more the Left can get blacks hating and fearing cops and whites, the more blacks will vote for Democrats. The more Democrats in government, the more the Left can force its wacko agenda on Americans.

Lloyd was prophetic in his prediction. Lloyd has since passed away, but his words live on as a warning to all Americans. The “wacko agenda” has now become public policy.

We believe that all men were created equal and our Creator has endowed us with certain inalienable rights – life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The Democrat Party has sown the seeds of discontent and cannot stop what they have started. Now the Democrat Party, including white Democrats, are reaping the crop of violence, hate, fear and murderous  rage and anger aimed at white straight working class Judeo-Christian men and women.

QUESTION: Can the Democrats’ wacko genocidal agenda be stopped?

ANSWER: We shall see on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

VIDEO: All Trails Lead to Cardona in Parents-as-Terrorist Flap

For Joe Biden, the uproar his administration caused by calling parents “domestic terrorists” has been a controversy he never could shake. Since October, when Attorney General Merrick Garland threatened to sic the FBI on moms and dads who spoke up at school board meetings, the administration has been on the losing side of a very public PR battle. Now, the optics are worse. Just how much collusion was there between the administration and the National School Board Association (NSBA) in the weeks leading up to the letter? A lot more, it turns out, than any of us were led to believe.

When the firestorm started, it didn’t take long for the NSBA to walk their letter back — revealing that a number of their leaders had no idea it had been sent in the first place. There “was no justification for some of the language included in the letter,” the group said. “We should have had a better process in place to allow for consultation on a communication of this significance.” Garland, to most people’s surprise, stood by his memo, insisting to angry Republicans in the House and Senate that the DOJ’s overreaction was perfectly justified. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, meanwhile, continued to feign ignorance.

Now, thanks to new emails just released as part of a parents’ group Freedom of Information Act request, we know that the president’s top educator had at least some knowledge of the letter beforehand. In an October 5th email, NSBA Secretary-Treasurer Kristi Swett remembered that NSBA interim CEO Chip Slaven “told the officers he was writing a letter to provide information to the White House, from a request by Secretary Cardona.” Slaven himself told the others that he’d been in talks “over the last several weeks with White House staff” who had “requested additional information on some of the specific threats.”

It’s a damning picture for the Biden administration, who has insisted for months that it didn’t coordinate the attack on parents. As usual, the president’s team has tried to lie itself out of the crisis, insisting as recently as the last 24 hours that Cardona had nothing to do with it. “While the Secretary did not solicit a letter from NSBA, to understand the views and concerns of stakeholders, the Department routinely engages with students, teachers, parents, district leaders and education associations,” a spokesperson said.

House Republicans don’t buy it — or, at the very least, want to hear from Cardona’s own lips. In a letter to the secretary’s office, Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-Ill.) is demanding answers to very basic questions by this Friday. For instance, “Did you speak to anyone at NSBA about the September 29 letter before it was sent?” Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) piled on, calling for immediate hearings. “It is abundantly clear to me that Secretary Cardona must answer to the Education and Labor Committee, Congress on the whole, and especially the American people.”

At the end of the day, Miller said, “[Cardona needs to] testify under oath so we can find out the truth. My experience with him is he knows how to wiggle and pivot and possibly even lie… [T]his is as an outrageous claim, and we need to know from him what actually happened. I don’t think we should let this go any farther. What’s happening in our country is outrageous.”

Asked if she was surprised that Biden’s administration was targeting everyday Americans, Miller said, “Yes… but I’d like to return the surprise to them. I want Americans to wake up and fight back and quit being passive. Get off the sidelines. The schools belong to us. We fund them. Those are our children and the schools are accountable to us. We want transparency in the curriculum. We want accountability. We don’t want D.C. elites telling us how to raise our children and how to live.”

Obama Calls for End of Filibuster to Pass Voting Rights Bill

In an op-ed published in USA Today on Thursday, former President Barack Obama urged Democrat Senators to make changes to the filibuster rule so that the upper chamber can pass stalled voting rights legislation.

The legislation, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the Freedom to Vote Act, passed the House last summer but has failed to pass in the Senate, where Democrats have a slim one-vote majority.

“In recent years, the filibuster became a routine way for the Senate minority to to block important progress on issues supported by the majority of voters,” the radical ex-President wrote. “But we can’t allow it to be used to block efforts to protect our democracy.”

Obama complained in his op-ed that lawmakers in 49 states have introduced more than 400 bills “designed to suppress votes.”

“These partisan attempts at voter nullification are unlike anything we’ve seen in modern times, and they represent a profound threat to the basic democratic principle that all votes should be counted fairly and objectively,” he wrote. “The good news is that the majority of American voters are resistant to this slow unraveling of basic democratic institutions and electoral mechanisms. But their elected representatives have a sacred obligation to push back as well – and now is the time to do it.”

As we’ve noted innumerable times here at Discover the Networks, the voter integrity legislation not only does not suppress votes, it expands voting rights. The only thing these laws are designed to suppress is voter fraud, and that’s why Democrats like Obama have been working so hard to demonize the legislation and their lawmakers as racist — because the Democrat Party knows it cannot win presidential elections anymore without widespread voter fraud.

Obama on America’s “Fever of Racism”

In a November 2020 interviewNational Public Radio host Michel Martin asked Obama to speak about the “fever of racism” that allegedly plagued the United States. “That fever, as you said, that’s been a defining feature of a lot of our life,” Obama replied, adding that many American racists had resented his presidency simply because he was the first black man to hold that office:

“I think that what did happen during my presidency was yes, a backlash among some people who felt that somehow, I symbolized the possibility that they or their group were losing status not because of anything I did, but just by virtue of the fact that I didn’t look like all the other presidents previously…. It would surprise me if you didn’t have a big cross-section of the country that was still carrying around a bunch of baggage and still a little disturbed by the advances that African Americans had made. It would surprise me if changing demographics and the growing Latino population didn’t scare a certain segment of this population, just because I know enough about American history to know that that’s always been a fault line in American history.”

In the same interview, Obama lauded the nationwide protests and riots sparked by the May 25, 2020 incident in which George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, had died shortly after a physical encounter with a white police officer in Minneapolis. Lamenting America’s intransigent “systemic injustices” in “inequities,” Obama said: “I think what happened this summer with George Floyd was so important, where you saw at least some shift in the general population in recognizing that there’s real racial bias in how our criminal laws are applied and how policing operates in this country.”

House PASSES Steal The Vote Bill

There it is, the final death blow – codifying election fraud. Without free and fair elections, all the flapping tongues in this once great nation will not save the republic.

They must memorialize and institutionalize the steal or they will never win again.

They will destroy our voting system by hook or by crook – it’s the only way they survive.

House passes voting rights package, setting up Senate filibuster showdown

By Cristina Marcos, The Hill, January 22, 2022: – 01/13/22 11:29 AM EST

The House passed voting rights legislation on Thursday in a way that is intended to set up a battle in the Senate over that issue as well as the filibuster.

The measure passed in a 220-203 party-line vote.

Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) has vowed to put the measure to a vote in the coming days before the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday in a bid to highlight state laws approved by GOP-dominated state governments that Democrats say will make it more difficult for their supporters — including minority voters — to vote.

“Nothing less is at stake than our democracy,” said Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

The manner in which the legislation was approved allows Schumer to bring it straight to the floor. But Democrats would need 60 votes — including 10 GOP votes — to get it to President Biden’s desk given the filibuster.

Two Democratic senators — Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona — oppose making changes to the filibuster that would allow the voting rights measure to sidestep the procedural hurdle and be approved on a majority vote.

House Democrats already passed voting rights legislation last year, only to be stymied by a GOP filibuster in the evenly divided 50-50 Senate.

The sweeping legislation would establish federal standards for voting access, including allowing for same-day voter registration; establishing Election Day as a legal public holiday; requiring states to allow a minimum number of days for early voting; and allowing people to vote absentee by mail for any reason.

The package also includes provisions of a bill named after the late civil rights icon, Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), that would restore a provision of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 that required states with histories of voting rights violations to obtain clearance from the Justice Department before implementing new election laws. That provision was struck down by the Supreme Court in 2013 in the Shelby County v. Holder decision.

Republicans argued that Democrats’ fears of voter suppression due to the new state-level GOP election laws were overblown.

Rep. Rodney Davis (Ill.), the top Republican on the House Administration Committee, noted that some GOP-led states currently allow more days of early in-person voting than some Democratic-led states, comparing New York and Georgia.

“This is not about voting rights. This is about power and control,” Davis said.

Passage of the voting rights legislation comes a week after the one-year anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol by a mob of former President Trump’s supporters who interrupted lawmakers’ certification of the presidential election results.

Biden will meet with Senate Democrats later Thursday afternoon, two days after he traveled to Georgia to publicly urge his party to pass voting rights legislation.

During his Tuesday speech, Biden, who served in the Senate for 36 years, endorsed reforming the chamber’s rules “whichever way they need to be changed to prevent a minority of senators from blocking action on voting rights.”

But expectations are low among Democratic senators that they’ll emerge from the meeting united on a plan to enact the legislation Biden wants.

Democrats are using a bicameral bill related to allowing the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to lease its properties to other entities as the legislative vehicle for the voting rights package.

That process will give Senate Democrats a procedural shortcut so that they can bypass the 60 votes typically needed to formally start debate on legislation. But the bill will still have to clear a 60-vote hurdle to actually pass.

“Though I did not expect this outcome when I first introduced the NASA Enhanced Use Leasing Extension Act, if my legislation will help overcome the filibuster, the Senate can finally have the long-overdue debate on voting rights this country deserves,” said Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.), the sponsor of the original NASA bill.

JUST IN: Biden Tells Social Media Platforms to Crack Down on Free Speech

By Todd Starnes, Jan 13, 2022

President Biden called on social media companies to crack down on what he called China Virus misinformation.

“I make a special appeal to social media companies and media outlets — please deal with the misinformation and disinformation that’s on your shows. It has to stop,” the president told the nation.

In other words the president wants Big Tech and the Drive-by Media to censor any opinion that is contrary to the preaching of Anthony Fauci, the Patron Saint of Wuhan.

Supreme Court HALTS Biden COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for Businesses

UPDATE:

EUREKA! Finally! Sanity!

Supreme Court Halts Biden COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for Businesses

By: Newsmax, 13 January 2022:

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday blocked President Joe Biden’s pandemic-related vaccination-or-testing mandate for large businesses at a time of escalating COVID-19 infections while allowing his administration to enforce its separate vaccine requirement for healthcare facilities.

The court acted after hearing arguments last Friday in the legal fight over temporary mandates issued in November by two federal agencies aimed at increasing U.S. vaccination rates and making workplaces and healthcare settings safer. The cases tested presidential powers to address a swelling public health crisis that already has killed more than 845,000 Americans.

The court was divided in both cases. The court ruled 6-3 with the six conservative justices in the majority and three liberal justices dissenting in blocking the broader workplace ruling. The vote was 5-4 to allow the healthcare worker rule, with two conservatives, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh, joining the liberals in the majority.

The federal workplace safety agency issued a rule affecting businesses with at least 100 workers requiring vaccines or weekly COVID-19 tests – a policy applying to more than 80 million employees. Challengers led by the state of Ohio and a business group asked the justices to block the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rule after a lower court lifted an injunction against it. Companies were supposed to start showing they were in compliance starting this past Monday.

The high court blocked a Dec. 17 decision by the Cincinnati-based 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that had allowed the mandate to go into effect.

The court’s order blocking enforcement while litigation continues in a lower court likely signals doom for the administration’s attempt to boost vaccination numbers by harnessing federal powers to protect workplace health and safety. During the oral argument, conservative justices expressed skepticism about the legality of that approach.

The other mandate required vaccination for an estimated 10.3 million workers at about 76,000 healthcare facilities including hospitals and nursing homes that accept money from the Medicare and Medicaid government health insurance programs for elderly, disabled and low-income Americans.

The justices lifted orders by federal judges in Missouri and Louisiana blocking the policy in 24 states, allowing the administration to enforce it nearly nationwide. Enforcement was blocked in Texas by a lower court in separate litigation not at issue in the case before the Supreme Court.

Workers must be vaccinated by the end of February under the mandate.
