Debunking Hurricane-Season Fallacies—3 Economic Fallacies to Watch Out For

You might be prepared for a hurricane, but are you prepared for a deluge of fallacies?

With hurricane season upon us, many are preparing for the worst. Windows are being boarded up, pantries are being stockpiled with extra food and water, and rescue crews are monitoring weather forecasts closely. Some have already experienced the worst, and are no doubt grateful they were ready when they got hit.

But while many are prepared for the hurricanes that sweep in, few seem prepared for the deluge of economic fallacies that inevitably accompanies these storms. These fallacies rain down from the highest levels of government and can be even more destructive than the hurricanes themselves. At best, the fallacies cause confusion and panic; at worst, shortages and life-threatening miscommunications.

So, in an effort to help us prepare for the storm before it’s too late, let’s explore three common fallacies that can come up during hurricane season.

The broken window fallacy is a classic hurricane-season misstep. “Hurricanes may do damage,” the reasoning goes, “but look on the bright side. Think of how many jobs will be created because of the destruction. Think about all the demand that will be stimulated. Things may look bleak, but this is actually good for the economy.”

Bastiat debunked this reasoning in his 1848 essay That Which Is Seen and that Which Is Not Seen, and countless economists since have echoed his remarks. In the essay, he tells the parable of a shopkeeper whose careless son breaks a window, and he asks the reader whether this is good for the economy. At first glance, it’s tempting to say yes. But as Bastiat shows in the story, this conclusion ignores the unseen effects of the broken window.

“If…you come to the conclusion,” he writes, “as is too often the case, that it is a good thing to break windows, that it causes money to circulate, and that the encouragement of industry in general will be the result of it, you will oblige me to call out, ‘Stop there! your theory is confined to that which is seen; it takes no account of that which is not seen.’”

What is not seen, briefly, is the lost opportunities, the things that could have been done with our resources had they not been needed to replace the broken window. Taking those into account, it becomes clear that the broken window is harmful to the economy. After all, there is now one less window in our stockpile of goods.

The same reasoning applies on a larger scale. There may be plenty of jobs and demand when a hurricane destroys a town, but saying this is “good” for the economy is simply wrong. If this logic were true, the more destruction we experience the better off we’d be! But economic reasoning—and plain common sense—tells us this can’t be right.

Every time a hurricane comes in there is a surge of worry about so-called price gouging—raising prices sharply in response to a supply or demand shock. Hurricane Ian has been no different.

“I want to add one more warning…to the oil and gas industry executives. Do not — let me repeat, do not — use this as an excuse to raise gasoline prices or gouge the American people,” President Biden said on Wednesday. “This small temporary storm impact on oil production provides no excuse, no excuse for price increases at the pump. None.”

“If the gas companies try to use this storm to raise prices at the pump,” he continued, “I will ask officials to look into whether price gouging is going on.” “America is watching,” he added. “The industry should do the right thing.”

According to Biden, the “right thing” for the oil and gas industry is to keep prices right where they are. But if access to gasoline for those who need it most is the goal, keeping the price fixed during a supply disruption will only make matters worse

“[Anti-price-gouging] laws keep prices low during natural disasters but lead to bare shelves, closed stores, and empty gas stations,” explains economics professor Lili Carneglia. “This happens because the low mandated prices push consumers to purchase more water, gas, flashlights, and so on. Yet at the same time, sellers aren’t financially motivated to expend any additional effort to supply more of these necessities. Why would they spend their time or money bringing in additional goods during a disaster only to sell them for the same price they’d get under normal circumstances? This imbalance between the interest of buyers and sellers causes shortages, leaving many without anything at all.”

Laws against price gouging—and the disdainful attitude toward “price-gougers” that pervades our culture—are born from the fallacy that keeping prices low makes goods more accessible for those who need them. In many cases, this simply isn’t true. It’s not a question of having a high price or a low price. It’s a question of having a high price or an empty shelf.

And if someone’s truly in need, you can bet they’ll prefer the high price over the empty shelf any day of the week.

Another policy that sometimes gets discussed in the wake of hurricanes is the Jones Act. Officially called the Merchant Marine Act of 1920, the Jones Act makes it illegal to transport goods by ship between US ports unless the ship is US-built, US-flagged, is owned by Americans, and is at least three-quarters crewed by Americans.

The Jones Act has recently become a hot topic again because of the situation in Puerto Rico. The island is suffering from the damage wrought by Hurricane Fiona and is in desperate need of supplies. As it happens, a ship carrying 300,000 barrels of desperately-needed diesel fuel from Texas was right next to the island on Monday. However, the ship is not Jones Act compliant, so it had to wait until a “temporary and targeted” waiver to the Act was granted Wednesday before it could unload the fuel.

This isn’t the first time the Jones Act has been waived to facilitate hurricane-relief efforts. It was also temporarily waived following Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Maria. Coincidentally, the Hurricane Maria waiver also concerned Puerto Rico, also happened in late September (2017), and also took two days before it came through.

So, why does this harmful Act exist in the first place? Essentially, the goal is to create a “strong” domestic shipping industry to ensure the US isn’t too dependent on other countries for its shipping (there’s also a mercantilist argument, but we’ll leave that aside for this discussion). If we require these ships to be all-American, the reasoning goes, US shipping will thrive and can be counted on to facilitate commerce and lend a hand should it be needed for national defense. The fear is that American ports, absent these restrictions, would come to be dominated by foreign ships built in foreign shipyards, and should there be a war, those ships would be called back to their home ports, leaving America with few vessels and little shipyard infrastructure to use for commercial purposes (or to commandeer for war).

The idea that it’s good for a nation to be “self-sufficient” in certain key industries like shipping is a typical protectionist talking point, but it has serious problems. Though it might seem like being “self-sufficient” makes us strong and being “dependent” on other nations makes us weak, the reality is exactly the opposite.

Imagine trying to make your home self-sufficient, or even your city or state. You’d have to grow all your own food, mine your own metal, and make everything yourself. Even if trade were only restricted in a few industries, it wouldn’t be long before you became an economic lightweight compared to what you could have been. Your technology will fall behind and you’ll struggle to accumulate capital. In short, your economy will be severely weakened.

This is the inevitable result of trade restrictions. To the extent that you cut yourself off from the world, you cripple yourself. And this is just as true on a national scale as it is on a more local scale.

“What protection teaches us,” said economist Henry George (1839-1897), “is to do to ourselves in time of peace what enemies seek to do to us in time of war.”

All that to say, hampered disaster relief is but one of the many ways “self-sufficiency” makes us worse off.

As with hurricanes, the key to mitigating the damage of economic fallacies is being prepared for them. If we don’t know even basic economics, we are setting ourselves up to be duped, and there are real consequences when that happens.

So just as we take time to board our windows and stock our pantries, let’s also take time to learn economics and think through some of the more common economic fallacies.

Given the stakes, it’s just the prudent thing to do.

The Stasi Actions Of The Politicized DOJ

Who were the Stasi?  One of the most hated and feared institutions of the East

German communist government. They were the internal security and police apparatus in the Soviet zone of occupation in East Germany after World War II.  Their job was to spy on the people.  They were similar to the KGB in that their spying (gathering intelligence) kept the government informed enough to squash any dissent.

Like a giant octopus, the Stasi’s tentacles probed every aspect of life; all major industrial plants, apartment buildings, schools, universities, hospitals and theologians had informers.   Doctors, lawyers, journalists, writers, actors, and sports figures were co-opted by Stasi officers, as were waiters and hotel personnel.

The Stasi was one of the most successful intelligence services in history: they kept almost unimaginably detailed files and records on large quantities of the population, and created an atmosphere of fear and unease that they then proceeded to exploit.

Lives were lost trying to escape communist/fascist control.

Just as Italy’s Benito Mussolini established and controlled his power between 1922 to 1930, we have seen exactly the same tactics in America.  He used violence and intimidation of opposing parties, media was controlled along with censorship, education in schools and universities was closely monitored, and trade unions were controlled through the state.

The old “turn in your neighbor” that we saw in Nazi Germany, Italy, Poland, and other countries run by totalitarian oligarchs was revived in Biden’s recent fascist speech.

Perhaps it isn’t as obvious to the majority of Americans, but Stasi tactics are alive and well in America more so under Biden’s Department of Justice, with Merrick Garland as the Attorney General.  And every intelligence department is “woke” enough to be in on the totalitarian takeover of America.

FBI Raids

We’ve seen enough examples of the attacks on opposition leadership via the overzealous raids by the Stasi FBI.  Roger Stone, Peter Navarro, Paul Manafort, Mike Lindell and Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, to name just a few, were subjected to hordes of armed agents descending upon their homes, some in the middle of the night.

Steve Bannon told Charlie Kirk that the FBI “rolled in on” 35 senior members of MAGA Republican supporters of Donald Trump.”  Saying the alleged searches were unnecessary because their targets have lawyers, he called the FBI the “jackbooted Gestapo,” a reference to the secret police of Nazi Germany.

The FBI’s history belies their motto of fidelity, bravery and integrity.  The same can now be said of the rest of the intelligence network.

Think about what just happened to Mark Houck, father of seven, a noted Catholic, and pro-life activist. After an incident between Houck, his son, and a belligerent pro-abortionist escort, the DOJ found good reason for 30 armed agents to show up at his house and drag him away in hand-cuffs in front of his wife and children in the middle of the night.

When both the city police and the district attorney declined to file charges against Houck for pushing the pro-abortionist away from his son, the escort filed a private criminal complaint in Philadelphia municipal court. The case was dismissed in July when the man repeatedly didn’t show up in court.

Twenty-two members of Congress demanded answers from Attorney General Merrick Garland over the Stasi actions of the politicized FBI.  Where were the other 240 Republicans in the House and Senate?  Silent as usual.

FBI Attack on Private Property

Karl Marx said, “The theory of Communism may be summed up in one sentence: Abolish all private property.”  The FBI is following Marxist doctrine.

Zero Hedge reported on September 26th, that the FBI Misled Judge, Then Seized $86 Million In Cash From Beverly Hills Safe-Deposit Boxes.

The FBI ‘drilled and pried’ their way into 1,400 safe-deposit boxes at a private vault company in Beverly Hills after misleading a judge about their plan to permanently confiscate everything inside every box containing at least $5,000 in cash or goods, a senior FBI agent recently testified.

This was private property!

Sean Davis tweeted, “The FBI is trash. It is both a domestic terrorist organization and a criminal cartel, and it should no longer be allowed to exist in what used to be a free country with laws.”  He is right!

Destruction of the fourth amendment of the Bill of Rights!

Amendment IV states: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The FBI menace is escalating.

FBI Whistleblowers

Miranda Devine’s September 28, 2022 article in the New York Post tells of 30 ex-FBI agents who are standing up for the latest whistleblower, Stephen Friend.

Those 30 former agents include a retired deputy assistant director, head of counterterrorism and five SWAT team members, who have spoken out publicly in support of suspended FBI whistleblower Stephen Friend.  Friend alleged that the FBI has been manipulating case-file management in order to falsely inflate the threat of domestic terrorism, and using unconstitutional excessive force against political dissenters.

Many former agents hailed Friend, a SWAT team member in Florida, as a “hero” after he was punished for refusing to participate in what he regarded as unnecessarily heavy-handed SWAT raids over Jan. 6 misdemeanors.

The FBI is no longer devoid of political partisanship.  As such, whistleblowers have come forward against the use of swat teams “to arrest non-violent senior citizens and others with political opinions not currently tolerated by this administration, compounded by the idea that many of these cases involve misdemeanor criminal charges.”

Economic Fascism

Far too many physicians, nurses, airline pilots, and federal and state employees have been forced to take the COVID inoculations, or lose their jobs.  The unconstitutional mandates were totalitarian in nature and have ruined faith in the medical industry who along with the Biden administration, the NIH, CDC, FDA, AMA, medical journals and group practices, promoted masks, social distancing, lockdowns and clot shots.  All were unconstitutional and all were highly damaging to society and especially to the middle class.  This was all planned and exposed by Dr. Richard Day in 1969.  Dr. Lawrence Dunegan recorded what he remembered of the lecture given by Day, and it was the New World Order plan for society, most of which was already completed.

Corporate entities jumped on the bandwagon for all of it, but now the woke propaganda fear porn spread by the alphabet agencies has taken a new turn.  What is promoted in the “Codes of Conduct or Ethics” in America’s job openings is alarming and invasive.

A friend of mine received this link from “All Time Favorites”  because her former business used to be listed as one of their vendors, and they sent this out to their entire mail list.  She sent it to me with the statement, “They will not hire anyone who has anything to do with anyone Trump even knows, it seems, or anyone who disagrees with vaccines or Ukraine, etc.

It is crazy. I have never seen anything like this.”

Here is what was listed under their Code of Conduct:

  • Good moral character, ethics, honesty, and high integrity are very important to All Time Favorites.
  • You agree to abide by a code of conduct outlined here while working with All Time Favorites.
  • You agree to not do business with nor show admiration or positive support for those who do not fit this code of conduct.
  • This is not about politics.
  • Examples of those who you agree NOT to do events for nor associate with include:
  • Q-anon, Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, and any business Donald J. Trump owns/runs, his family owns/runs, or his business partners. (This would include Eric Trump’s fundraising for St. Jude’s.)
  • You also agree not to mass distribute nor promote false information.
    For example (but not limited to): False information about Covid-19 and related vaccines; that the election was stolen from Donald Trump in 2020, or similar.
  • Our experience shows us that people who follow and support those who tell lies, bully, disrespect and degrade others, usually show us that they do not have the respect, character, morals and integrity we require to serve our clients.
  • You agree not to threaten, bully, disrespect ethnic groups or cheat others in your business transactions.
  • Currently, due to the Ukraine invasion by Russia, you are not supporting or showing any support of Putin and those under his direction.

Patriotic Americans are not just the enemies of the Biden state, but enemies of every single vestige of society as well.  The first amendment, which gives all Americans the liberty and freedom to freely speak about what they believe, has been squelched by the very enemies of the nation, those controlled by the Marxist/Fascist propaganda.

In Thomas J. DiLorenzo’s 1994 article, Economic Fascism, he clearly explains what we’re facing in 2022.

He states that when people hear the word “fascism, they naturally think of ugly racism and the anti-Semitism practiced by the regimes of Mussolini and Hitler,” but the reality is there was also an economic policy component of fascism known as “corporatism,” practiced by the two totalitarians.  DiLorenzo tells us that corporatism was adopted in Italy and Germany in the 1930s and was held up as a “model” by intellectuals and policy makers in America and Europe.  A version of this fascist corporatism was adopted in the USA in the 1930s and is still around.  Rather than “fascism,” it is called “planned capitalism.”  “The word fascism may no longer be politically acceptable, but its synonym, ‘industrial policy’ is still as popular as ever.”

Economist Lawrence Dennis was one of the most outspoken American fascists and in his 1936 book, The Coming American Fascism, he declared that defenders of 18th-century Americanism were sure to become the laughing stock of their own countrymen.  He believed that the adoption of economic fascism would actually intensify “national spirit” and put it behind “the enterprises of public welfare and social control.”  What he bemoaned was the fact that the stumbling block to economic fascism was “liberal norms of law or constitution guarantees of private rights.”  (Emphasis mine.)

Many of those wonderful God-given rights are today being trampled underfoot not only by the totalitarian despots in charge of the once greatest country on earth but by their corporate acolytes.  The above “Code of Conduct” is a prime example.

In the article, Off-Duty Conduct and Employee Rights, the author states, “Federal antidiscrimination laws that apply to private employment do not protect political beliefs or affiliations.”  So, your private life is not private from your employer.

There are however, questions an employer is not allowed to ask.  Unfortunately, one of the questions considered unlawful is, “Are you a United States citizen?”  Huh?!

I didn’t see any of the protestors who were involved in Antifa or BLM riots losing their employment.  In fact, Team Biden and his apparatchiks encouraged street demonstrations that might spiral out of control.  Nearly all of them did.

Whistleblower Edward Snowden

In Daniel Ellsberg’s nine-year-old Guardian article, Edward Snowden: saving us from the United Stasi of America, he calls, “Edward Snowden’s whistleblowing a chance to roll back what is tantamount to an ‘executive coup’ against the US Constitution.”

He also believed that we had not yet become a police state although another tragedy like that of 9/11 would push us over the brink.  I believe we have reached that point inasmuch as the entire C-19 project against Americans, including the mandated inoculations, have thrown us into that authoritarian camp.

The dangerous abyss that Idaho Senator Frank Church warned of years ago is now upon us.  The dangerous prospect of which he warned was that America’s intelligence gathering capability – which is today beyond any comparison with what existed in his pre-digital era – “at any time could be turned around on the American people and no American would have any privacy left.”

Ellsberg states, “That has now happened. That is what Snowden has exposed, with official, secret documents. The NSA, FBI and CIA have, with the new digital technology, surveillance powers over our own citizens that the Stasi – the secret police in the former “democratic republic” of East Germany – could scarcely have dreamed of. Snowden reveals that the so-called intelligence community has become the United Stasi of America.

“Snowden did what he did because he recognized the NSA’s surveillance programs for what they are: dangerous, unconstitutional activity. This wholesale invasion of Americans’ and foreign citizens’ privacy does not contribute to our security; it puts in danger the very liberties we’re trying to protect.”

Conclusion

Our private lives, aside from our employment, are only one faction of the encroaching takeover of America by those who have long promoted the New World Order, now called the Great Reset, which is nothing more than United Nations Agenda 21/30.

In the last few years, Americans have seen the despotic and repressive destruction of our health care system.  Dr. Richard Day’s lecture of 1969 entitled, The New Order of Barbarians, told us the plan.  That dark agenda is upon us.

Next up, we’ll study the Stasi control of our health care which was once ranked among the world’s healthiest populations in 1984.  But in 2021, a study by the Commonwealth Fund ranked America’s health care system dead last among industrialized nations, with the highest infant mortality and lowest life expectancy.  In the 38 years between 1984 and 2022, Anthony Fauci has been the catalyst of desolation.

The Connection Between Fear and Deception

All true believers should understand the words spoken by God, Who said many times in His word, “Fear not”! There is a reason why He told us all to reject fear, but few actually look deeply enough into the matter to fully understand why that is a not a ‘suggestion’, but a ‘command’ of God to His people.

I believe very few people understand just what fear is, how it works and the results it produces. If God says to “do this” and “do NOT do that”, He is NOT saying it just to hear Himself speak; HE knows exactly what fear is and how damaging and destructive it is and He wants us to live free of fear.

We are told NOT to fear.

We are also admonished by the Apostle Paul when He said, “Let no man deceive you by ANY means” (2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV). Again, I believe few people truly understand deception, how it works and what it leads to. If allowed, it can reach a level in a person’s mind from which there is no return, a state of delusion that is totally destructive.

Is there then a connection between fear and deception? Let’s look into the matter and seek God’s wisdom in it.

Fear, What It Is, Where It Comes From and How It Works

First, What IS Fear?

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, fear is a noun, meaning, a)“an unpleasant, often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger”; and b) a state (of being) marked by this emotion

Fear is also a verb, meaning, “to be afraid of; to expect with alarm”. It is important to understand both the noun and verb meanings to understand what fear does.

Where Does Fear come From?

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love” (1 John 4:8 KJV). From this passage, we understand the nature of God, and we know that “God is Love”. “There is no fear in love (God); but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18 KJV). Since God (love) exists without fear and actually casts out all fear, we can surmise that fear comes from a source other than  God.

How Fear Works

When fear enters a person’s mind, which is the center of man’s awareness and the response to all incoming sensory information, a level of discomfort is experienced that MUST produce either a response based on one’s beliefs, or a reaction, like ‘flight or fight’. In either case. man must find a way to deal with the ‘fearful’ info that causes discomfort.

Fear is a highly developed spiritual weapon that Satan, the exact opposite of God, uses to torment his enemies. In using fear, Satan tries to force a reaction that will cause a wrong decision to be made, giving Satan what he wants: the potential to control the person he aims that weapon against.

Let’s look at the difference between two words, response and reaction, that many seem to use as though they are the same, mean the same and can always be used as though they ARE the same., when in reality, they are very different.

First, the word response which has as synonyms, answer, response, reply, retort. Answer implies the satisfying of a question, demand, call or need. Response may imply a quick or spontaneous ‘reaction’ to a person or thing that serves as a stimulus (fear). Reply often suggests a thorough response to all issues, points or questions raised. Retort implies a reaction to an implicit or explicit charge, criticism or attack which contains a countercharge or counterattack.

While all could be used when confronted with, or attacked by, fear, we have as THE example for our action in such situations, Jesus, who was often attacked and/or confronted by fear in His time on this earth. In those instances, what did Jesus do? He spoke the words that His Father had already spoken and allowed those words to provide the perfect answer, response or retort against His attackers. He was able to do this, successfully, in every situation because He was thoroughly attuned to God’s word. To follow the example of Jesus to counter fear, we must also KNOW what God’s word says and be prepared to use it just as Jesus did.

He consistently taught His disciples to understand why they were being attacked by our adversary and how to counter the fear he was using against them. As damaging as fear itself can be, leaving mental scars that may linger for many days, He was aware of an even more damaging aspect of fear: that fear leads people to seek relief from it, and many will choose the wrong way to get that relief. If not dealt with properly, the fear will lead to making decisions which may allow the enemy to increase his attacks, a primary means of trying to deceive the hearer.

Where Does Fear Lead?

Aside from being a primary weapon used to frighten and frustrate believers and unbelievers alike, fear has a ‘destination’. Fear always leads to deception, a state  in which the deceived is caused to accept as true, something that is false or invalid.

Once established in the mind of the deceived, the falsehood becomes a part of that person’s belief system and he or she will defend it vigorously even though it is false. That dogged adherence to a lie will further erode the mental capacity to determine what is true and what is a lie in any situation. This demonic state then leads to delusion.

Paul spoke of this progression from fear to deception to delusion in his letter to the Thessalonian believers: “…because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause, God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

Where Does Delusion Lead?

The verses above clearly state that because people are captured by delusion, they are headed toward damnation, the eternal kind from which there is little hope of recovery. The Oxford Living Dictionary defines delusion as: “An idiosyncratic belief or impression maintained despite being contradicted by reality or rational argument.” So it becomes clear that a person suffering from delusion is one who might never accept the truth because the lie produced by deception has become ingrained in the person’s mind ‘as truth’ that cannot, or should not be refuted.

Thus, people who have allowed fear to cause them to make seriously bad decisions are similar to the people of Germany who were led into a disastrous war in which many millions of people died. After World War II, during the Nuremberg trials, many failed to comprehend how so many Germans were convinced of the ‘rightness’ of Hitler’s Third Reich and were so easily led  to support him. During the trial, Hitler’s right hand, Hermann Goring, explained how they accomplished that feat:

“It’s easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and… they will follow their leader. This works in every nation.”

“Just make the people afraid and they will do whatever you want”.

Unfortunately, that fear led to the deception that Hitler, the demonically influenced German leader, was doing something good for the German nation and that deception/delusion led to the near-destruction of Germany.

How to Counter-Attack Fear

Remember that fear does NOT come from God. We are told in 1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

So when fear attacks, what should the believer do? First, remember where the fear comes from and recognize it as a spiritual attack from Satan. If you allow fear to remain in your presence instead of immediately counterattacking it, Satan will almost immediately present the deception he wants you to accept. The best example of a perfect counter-attack against fear is that of Jesus, Who when approached by Satan, using his weapons to deceive Jesus into worshipping him, used the words that God had already spoken to Him. Satan, knowing he was defeated by the word, then  left Jesus alone.

We also can use God’s words against Satan, against fear and make him flee. Read James 4:6-7 KJV and you will see God’s weapon He has given us to defeat fear and Satan:

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”. True humility, the act of confessing the Lordship of Jesus over our lives and submitting wholly to Him for our entire subsistence allows the grace of God to flood our lives and also gives us the courage to face Satan and use God’s spiritual weapon of His Word to defeat the enemy of our souls.

If we are faithful to follow this process, w can not only live free of fear, but we can avoid all deception, which is pleasing to God.

The Democrat Fascination with Violence

Somebody recently put together a montage of prominent Democrats accusing 80 million Trump supporters of being violent and going on to justify violence against them.  Republicans want to “overthrow the U.S. government,” “enact their political will through violence,” and ‘turn violent when they don’t get their way.’  These “Nazis” and “fascists” – or is it “semi-fascists”? – are “a danger to our way of life.”  “This means war,” these Democrats say.  “Civil war has already begun.” “We have to kill and confront that movement.”  This is a “call to arms”, echoing the call to arms by Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot in May.  Rise up and “fight to victory,” she said, no surrender.

The idea that Republicans are violent is just liberal projection – Democrats are accusing Republicans of what Democrats do – and have done historically, as we shall see in a moment – and of what is in Democrat hearts.  Two recent cases in point:  A North Dakota man struck and killed a teenager with his vehicle, because the man believed the teen was a member of a “Republican extremist group.”  This politically motivated murder took place two weeks after Democrat Joe Biden delivered his infamous speech at Independence Hall calling his political opposition enemies of the state and a clear and present danger.  In the other case, a Michigan man admitted to shooting a tiny 84-year-old woman in the back who was out campaigning against a proposal that would legalize abortion up to birth in the state.  The shooting was an accident, he says, but his wife is a left-wing abortion activist who threatens conservatives on social media, which begs the question: why did the man pull a gun at all?  And let’s not forget the 29 acts of arson and vandalism against pregnancy centers and churches since Roe v. Wade was overturned, none of which have been punished or even investigated by the Democrat-controlled Justice Department.

But there’s more.  Also in Michigan, another man threatened to shoot a Republican worker in front of a local GOP headquarters on election day, and also threatened to shoot up the whole place.  And who could forget the deranged leftists who shot up Republican congressmen on a baseball field in 2017 and a security guard at the Family Research Council in 2013.

But Democrats have always been this way.  The KKK has been called the armed wing of the Democrat Party.  The same label has more recently been applied to Antifa, whose specialty is training their members to gouge people’s eyes out.  Gee, leftists turn violent when they don’t get their way.  What is more, the anarcho-communists of Antifa and the trained Marxists of Black Lives Matter have declared war on the system, attacked federal buildings to overthrow the U.S. government, and are certainly a danger to our way of life – throwing the Democrats’ words right back at them – yet Democrat politicians and federal authorities – also Democrats – refuse to bring them to justice.   Joe Biden and other Democrats dismiss Antifa as ‘just an idea’.  Let me ask you a question:  what other ‘idea’ has burned down entire cities in recent memory?

What you must understand is that none of this is an accident.  Left-wing communist and socialist parties around the world have had armed wings operating on their behalf – in the Philippines, in China and Colombia and, among other places, Italy, Germany, and India.  Italy is of special note because the armed wing of the Left is known as the ‘Red Guards’.  Red Guard groups have been active in Austin and other American cities.

So, if you want to know where political violence is likely to come from in America in the future, look no further than the Democrat Party, its prominent members who threaten violence, and its armed supporters and paramilitary groups who practice it.  As I’ve mentioned in previous commentaries, the FBI and Justice Department have to cook up phony domestic terrorism cases, call ordinary parents ‘domestic terrorists’, and spin phony narratives about how January 6th somehow represents a broad crisis of right-wing extremism in the country.  But there’s nothing phony about the riots of 2020, the 2,000 police officers who were injured in that spasm of left-wing violence, or the dozens of acts of violence against pro-lifers and pregnancy centers more recently.  It’s the Left and its supporters in the Democrat Party and the federal government – not the Right – that we have to worry about.  I don’t know about you, but I’m nervous about what Democrats will do the next time they don’t get their way.

Project Veritas released a new video from its #SecretCurriculum series today exposing an Eighth Grade English Teacher who admits to indoctrinating children against the parents’ will with the end goal of overthrowing the American system of government.

Tyler Wrynn, who is employed by Will Rogers Middle School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, told a Veritas journalist that he fears losing his job as an educator because it could get in the way of his ideological plans for the country.

  • Wrynn: “The only thing that’s a problem here [in Oklahoma] is that House Bill 1775 or something. I can get my license revoked for it, for being too woke…Trust me, I want to burn down the entire system.”
  • Wrynn: “Eventually, you want to remove Christianity — or religion [as a whole] — from progressive thought, because religion is inherently hierarchical.”
  • Wrynn: “If I speak about religion in the classroom I can get it [teaching license] revoked, yes. But I don’t.”

Trump Sues CNN

Former President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit against CNN, claiming the outlet defamed him and did so out of fear he will run for president again in 2024.

The suit, which was filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, argues CNN has tried to use its influence to smear Trump politically and prevent him from launching a bid for re-election.

The suit alleges Trump has been a “long-time critic” of CNN, “not because CNN does a bad job of reporting the news, but because CNN seeks to create the news.”

“CNN’s campaign of dissuasion in the form of libel and slander against the Plaintiff has only escalated in recent months as CNN fears the Plaintiff will run for president in 2024,” the suit reads. “As a part of its concerted effort to tilt the political balance to the Left, CNN has tried to taint the Plaintiff with a series of ever-more scandalous, false, and defamatory labels of ‘racist,’ ‘Russian lackey,’ ‘insurrectionist,’ and ultimately ‘Hitler.’”

Trump is seeking $475 million in punitive damages, according to the suit.

Trump notified the outlet in July of his intention to sue for “repeated defamatory statements.” Trump also warned he would sue other outlets he alleges have “defamed and defrauded the public” about the 2020 presidential election results.

“I have notified CNN of my intent to file a lawsuit over their repeated defamatory statements against me,” Trump said in July. “I will also be commencing actions against other media outlets who have defamed me and defrauded the public regarding the overwhelming evidence of fraud throughout the 2020 election. I will never stop fighting for the truth and for the future of our country.”

Cornell University Physician: ‘I Was Wrong about Covid Vaccine Mandates’

Scientists and public health officials must act more humbly and recognize the limits of their knowledge, writes Dr. Paul Fenyves.

The great martial artist Bruce Lee reputedly said that all mistakes are forgivable—if one has the courage to admit the mistake.

Paul Fenyves, a primary care physician in New York City who specializes in internal medicine, seems to have learned this lesson. Fenyves, a primary care doctor at Weill Cornell Medicine, recently admitted he was wrong to support vaccine mandates.

“I was initially supportive of Covid vaccine mandates in the Fall of 2021. At the time, I was told that Covid vaccines don’t only protect the individual receiving the vaccine, but they also benefit the community by reducing spread of the virus,” Fenyves wrote on the Substack Sensible Medicine.

Convinced that mandatory vaccination would create a “wall of immunity” that would bring the pandemic to an end more quickly, Fenyves said it seemed “reasonable to prioritize societal welfare over individual autonomy,” noting that early clinical trials of Pfizer’s vaccine were shown to stop 95 percent of infections.

“Surely a vaccine that prevents almost all infections would halt community spread, right? Wrong,” he writes. “Perhaps there was a time when Covid vaccines could significantly reduce community transmission, but that time was short-lived, and the virus quickly evolved and learned to evade vaccine-induced immunity.”

For Fenyves, his awakening moment came in December 2021, when Portugal experienced a massive surge of Covid despite a vaccination rate of more than 90 percent.

Fenyves concedes there are other reasons one could support mandatory vaccination even if it doesn’t reduce community spread, noting that some contend forced vaccination is moral because it’s done “for their own good.”

“I find these arguments to be weak justifications for violating an individual’s autonomy and mandating a medical intervention,” he writes. “Furthermore, these arguments are completely inadequate when applied to young people, whose risk of hospitalization from Covid is low, and whose likelihood of benefiting from vaccination is similarly low.”

Some may argue that Fenyves is right about vaccine mandates, but for the wrong reasons.

Vinay Prasad, an associate professor in University of California, San Francisco’s Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, argues vaccine mandates would be wrong even if there was a community benefit because the social costs are too high.

“My conclusion was always that the societal harm of mandates far exceeds any benefit, and as such I always opposed mandates,” writes Prasad in an introduction to Fenyves’s article.

Others might wonder why it took Fenyves until December 2021 to recognize he was wrong about vaccine mandates. Put aside for a moment that vaccine mandates violate bodily autonomy and the non-aggression principle, which makes them inherently immoral.

As early as August 2021 it was clear that “vaccine breakthroughs” were quite common and that naturally immunity conferred powerful protection against Covid. Why was it not until December 2021 that Fenyves realized he was wrong about vaccine mandates?

These are fair points, but they should not overshadow the larger lesson Fenyves is sharing, which is that scientists and public health officials must act more humbly with their immense power and recognize the limits of their knowledge.

“Those in the medical community who, like me, argued that vaccines should be mandated to protect the community should feel chastened,” writes Fenyves. “When considering mandating vaccines in the future, we should proceed with humility, acknowledging that our knowledge is far from perfect and our truths are often transitory.”

Two words in the last sentence are incredibly important: knowledge and humility.

These same two words are found in F.A. Hayek’s famous 1974 Nobel Prize speech, in which he warned against scientists and planners acting on “a pretense of knowledge.” Instead of recognizing the limitations of knowledge in an infinitely complex world, Hayek saw modern humans “dizzy with success” over the marvels of modern science, which had convinced them they possessed enough knowledge to engineer society effectively.

“The curious task of economics,” he famously wrote in The Fatal Conceit, “is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine they can design.”

The antidote to this fatal conceit—which Hayek warned leads to “grave consequences”—is humility.

T.S. Eliot once observed that humility “is the most difficult of all virtues to achieve,” and a lack of it is what lurked beneath the deadly collectivist schemes of the twentieth century, from Stalin’s Five Year Plans to Mao’s Great Leap Forward and beyond.

The “fatal striving to control society” is born of arrogance, Hayek understood. And it was this arrogance that led public health officials and politicians to decide they had enough knowledge to make life-and-death decisions for others during the pandemic, to decide what they had to put into their bodies.

Fenyves is right that a healthy dose if humility is in order, and that the knowledge we possess is far from perfect.

If we fail to learn this lesson, the consequences could be even worse the next time government officials attempt to prevent a crisis from happening.

Physicians Group Sues FDA Over Ivermectin

Report: Ivermectin Obliterated 97% Of Covid Cases In Delhi, India

On June 1, the Desert Review News reported that Ivermectin had obliterated 97 percent of Covid infections in India’s capitol territory, Delhi (pop. 30 million).

The chart below shows that Delhi was experiencing more than 20,000 new cases daily in early May. By the end of the month, new cases had dropped precipitously, to a 7-day average of less than 1,500 new cases daily.

On Sept. 18, the Indian Express reported that Delhi had only 33 new Covid cases and only one new death in the previous 24 hours.

What reportedly happened in Delhi is anecdotal evidence that Ivermectin can play an important role in mitigating Covid. Anecdotal, yes, but quite impressive results if the reports are accurate.

The FDA has not approved Ivermectin for treating or preventing COVID-19 in humans. Democrats ridicule Ivermectin as a “horse de-worming” medication. In fact, there are two forms of Ivermectin, one of which is used to de-worm horses. The other, which received a Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2015, is a repurposed formula used to disrupt transmission of malaria among humans. It is this latter form that reportedly has had significant results in the fight against Covid.

The beef against Ivermectin may ultimately be nothing more than (1) its cheap price, which prevents Big Pharma from making billions on less effective and more highly priced alternatives, and (2) its apparent effectiveness undercuts the Biden administration’s transparent attempt to keep voters in a heightened state of Covid fear through the 2022 elections.

ANOTHER INTRIGUING STORY ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS

According to WorldOMeter, as of Sept. 19, China has had 95,689 coronavirus cases and 4,636 deaths since early 2020, while the U.S., with a population one-fourth as large as China’s, has recorded 42,869,445 cases and 691,562 deaths.

China has been known to put out misleading information about Covid, as has the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the Biden administration. Assuming the statistics above are reasonably accurate, the coronavirus has had a far more devastating impact on America than on the much more populous country where it is believed to have originated.

What can possibly explain such a wide disparity? Perhaps the Gatestone Institute article “Biden Letting China Get Away with the Crime of the Century” provides a possible clue in this excerpt:

China’s military is working on the next generation of pathogens. Its National Defense University, in the 2017 edition of the authoritative Science of Military Strategy, mentioned a new kind of biological warfare of “specific ethnic genetic attacks.” China’s military researchers and analysts for a half decade have been writing about pathogens of this sort, and American officials are in fact concerned that Chinese scientists have been experimenting with, in the words of Bill Gertz of the Washington Times, “germ weapons capable of attacking ethnic groups.” Beijing’s determined campaign to collect genetic profiles of foreigners … is another indication that the Chinese military, in violation of its obligations under the Biological Weapons Convention, is building ethnic-specific bioweapons.

Was Covid-19 an ethnic-specific bioweapon? I have no idea and am not saying it was, only wondering why Biden seems so reluctant to demand a serious investigation into its origin.

UN Declares: ‘We own the science’ & ‘the world should know it’

The United Nations revealed that they “own the science” of climate change and they have manipulated Google search results to suppress any climate view that deviates from UN claims.

In reality the Great Reset was underway in 2020, with the promotion of authoritarian COVID-19 “mitigation” measures utilizing decades of corrupted “science.”

French President Emmanuel Macron warned that, because of COVID-19, “We must all limit the number of people with whom we’re in contact with every single day. Scientists say so.”

“Scientists say so.” But which scientists “say so”? And on what evidence do those scientists base what they say?

In the age of COVID lockdowns and mandates, a pending Green New Deal, and a Great Reset, an insight of renowned economist Thomas Sowell is more valuable than ever: “Experts are often called in, not to provide factual information or dispassionate analysis for the purpose of decision-making by responsible officials, but to give political cover for decisions already made and based on other considerations entirely.”

Another name for it—Science to support the policy.

As C. S. Lewis warned, “I dread specialists in power because they are specialists speaking outside their special subjects. Let scientists tell us about sciences. But government involves questions about the good for man, and justice, and what things are worth having at what price; and on these a scientific training gives a man’s opinion no added value.” Lewis was sounding the alarm against the kind of technocracy that we live under thanks to COVID—the control of society by an elite unelected cadre of experts.

Whenever they invoke “The Science,” you know something other than science is at play.

“A theory becomes The Science when a mitigation or solution to the theory becomes more important than the theory itself,” explained Dr. William M. Briggs, coauthor of The Price of Panic: How the Tyranny of Experts Turned a Pandemic into a Catastrophe. “This is, as mentioned, the Cult of Science. Members are easy to spot. Not only do they use phrases like ‘We believe in The Science’ and ‘Denier!’—has there ever been a clearer indication of religious intent than this one word?—but they all evince scientism, the false belief that knowing a (‘scientific’) fact implies morally what should be done about that fact,” Briggs pointed out.

“In plain science theory is made to fit Reality. In The Science this is flipped,” he added. “The Science has nothing to do with science and everything to do with solutions and mitigations.” Briggs detailed how “how the theory-Reality relationship is reversed” because the “elites benefit from mitigations.”

He demonstrated by a thought experiment how “The Science” is not real science. “Say you disbelieve the theory but support the mitigation, and you will be praised. But say you believe all the models of exponential ‘cases’ and deaths, but you don’t think lockdowns and mask mandates should be implemented, and you will be loathed,” Briggs wrote.

“Try it with any science that has become The Science. Accept the theory but reject its mitigation. You will very quickly learn The Science has nothing to do with science and everything to do with solutions and mitigations,” he added.

Eisenhower Warned Us

We were alerted about being ruled over by scientists and experts. In his 1961 Farewell Address, President Dwight D. Eisenhower bluntly warned of this danger.

Eisenhower explained that “a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity” and “the prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.”

According to Eisenhower, “We must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.”

Before the CDC’s Dr. Anthony Fauci supported “The Science” in favor of lockdowns, he supported “The Science” against them. In 2014, Fauci opposed quarantines of health care workers in response to Ebola as “draconian” and warned of “unintended consequences.”

Fauci complained about the “unscientific” policies of a number of U.S. governors who had imposed a targeted quarantine on health care workers arriving from Ebola-infected regions. “We have to be careful that there are [not] unintended consequences,” Fauci said.

“We need to treat them, returning people with respect,” Fauci explained during the outbreak of Ebola in Africa.

“You can monitor them in multiple different ways. You don’t have to put them in a confined place,” Fauci added.

“Go with the science,” he said.

But then the coronavirus came along, and suddenly “The Science” said exactly the opposite.

Journalist Jordan summed up Fauci’s duplicity on quarantines: “As we’ve discovered, the 50-year tenured government health bureaucrat wasn’t always a fan of quarantines. As recently as 2014, he was emphatically against them. Has ‘the science’ changed that much in the last 6 years, or is something else afoot?”

Why Are Caucasians Vanishing From TV Commercials?

I’m sure you’ve all seen how white people especially normal white males and white couples have all but disappeared from TV commercials.

You can’t escape these commercials even if you’ve dumped cable or satellite and gone to live streaming TV.   Advertisers and those who pay for their commercials have fallen on the alters of Critical Race Theory, diversity, inclusion, equity and political correctness. And ought and ought lies.

Why are Caucasians vanishing in TV commercials?

Commercials take up 27% of commercial television screen time and are the main source of income for TV and radio stations. In most cases, advertisements on all channels appear simultaneously, so don’t try to change the channel, there will be commercials elsewhere, too. Nowadays they have also taken over the Internet. For financial support, websites have to run ads on their pages, the largest share supplied and controlled by Google. Ads pry into your eyes, unceremoniously interfere with text, and on YouTube, in the most inappropriate places, they cut into the action of films, lectures, and concerts, tearing apart musical performances. There’s no escaping commercials, we’ve grown accustomed to them, and they become almost as much a part of our lives as food, toilets, and sleep.

In the United States today, the White population (not including Hispanics) is 57.8%. In real life, Caucasians are still in the majority, but now on TV and the Internet, they are swept under the rug like trash. Blacks comprise 14% of the U.S. population but appear in 50% of commercials. White actors now appear to promote health insurance, gold, loans, and some medicines. Moreover, if a White person appears in a commercial, he/she is usually old, sick, a freak, or at the very least, an appendage to a Black partner. If there’s a doctor on the screen, he’s usually Black, while the patient is usually White. Caucasian young men appear in only 4% of the commercials! If some aliens began to study the population of Planet Earth through our TV commercials they would have a somewhat distorted picture of Americans, to put it mildly.

So why do advertisers ignore the long-standing rules of marketing, and to the detriment of their own financial interests, fill the media space with content that displaces and degrades its biggest market segment? The answer is simple. At the heart of this nonsense is political correctness in a form even an Orwell could not have foreseen.  Business executives go out of their way to publicly show their conformity with the universal “diversity” and “critical racial theory” (CRT), demanding that the White man be blamed for all the sins one can imagine.  Replacing ancient, long-vanished oppression of Blacks with real oppression of Whites, overcompensating and planting racism-in-reverse.

Why does the White population, which is still in the majority in the U.S., accept the banishing and belittling obediently and silently?  Why is there no public criticism, much less resistance to the idiocy? Why don’t people don’t tell political correctness to go to hell? After all, the U.S. is not Stalin’s USSR, and anyone who disagrees with the party is not yet sent to a camp or shot. Why is there such stifling conformity among the American people, formerly known for their independence and freedom of speech? The answer is simple and sad: the reason is fear, albeit on a more vegetarian level than it was under Soviet rule.

Ordinary people keep their mouths shut for fear of losing their jobs, not getting a holiday bonus, not getting promoted, or being socially ostracized. This is understandable, and I wouldn’t blame them, although I wouldn’t respect them either. But what are people of higher position afraid of — the heads and owners of businesses? What is threatening them? Indeed, nobody is going to drive them out of their positions or take their business, though fear of boycotts can be realistic.  They are afraid of various inconveniences: negative articles in the leftist press, social shunning, frivolous lawsuits, loss of state and federal licenses, government contracts, unexpected audits by the IRS, fines for alleged violations of minorities’ rights, and the like small and large troubles.

People think that if they keep quiet, then the pendulum will swing back and everything will sort itself out. But comfort kills the will to resist and produces conformism, which inevitably leads to stagnation, degradation of society, reduction of living standards and, finally, to loss of that very comfort.

So what are we to do? I am not calling anyone to the barricades but only ask: Don’t live by lies. The least any of us can do today is not participate in lies of the CRT and other political correctness: not watch their movies, not read their newspapers, not vote for the conformist candidates, not support them financially, and certainly never buy anything that in a politically correct manner is singing and dancing on a TV or computer screen.

How Dual Diagnosis Affects Veterans

Dual diagnosis is one of the most important concepts in assessing and diagnosing the complexities of substance use disorders (SUDs) and mental health. Even before the era of COVID-19, it was estimated that upwards of 8.2 million people had dual diagnosis. While dual diagnosis plays a vital part in connecting the puzzle pieces for anyone with an SUD, it turns out that dual diagnosis is especially prevalent among veterans. Here’s how dual diagnosis affects veterans and how we can help.

What Dual Diagnosis Is

The first piece of the puzzle is exploring the question of what dual diagnosis is. On its face, it might sound like a phenomenon to describe different SUDs that people experience at the same time, such as someone who struggles with alcohol addiction and benzodiazepine addiction, for example. This example and any variety of co-occurring SUDs can certainly make up a dual diagnosis. However, while dual diagnosis can speak to the complex condition of multiple SUDs at once, it most commonly refers to the connection between SUD and mental health.

For example, dual diagnosis identifies the co-occurring phenomenon of an SUD alongside mental health issues, such as depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The effectiveness of dual diagnosis is its respect for the complexities of addiction and the distinction between mental health and substance use.

Often, the mental unhealth of people who struggle with substance abuse is dismissed merely as the side effect of the substances they abuse. While this is certainly possible, it is not always the case, and the failure to distinguish between substance abuse and mental health can often leave people with an inadequate treatment plan and an unsuccessful recovery. Dual diagnosis seeks to investigate, diagnose, and ultimately treat people based on their full medical and personal/family history. On this last point, we can begin to sense the importance and the connection between dual diagnosis and veterans.

Dual Diagnosis and Veterans

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) shares on its website the mental health resources available for veterans. Moreover, mental health crises are so common among enlisted and veteran military service members that a military mental health crisis line is available, too. Common mental health conditions that military veterans experience include:

  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Sexual trauma
  • PTSD
  • Schizophrenia
  • Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Substance use

When we think about the demands and complexities of military service, it’s easy to understand why this is the case. Perhaps the most common mental health crisis military veterans experience is PTSD. The reason for this is complex, but it includes issues such as combat experience, isolation, traumatic dreams, and the service era that veterans served in the military, such as World War II or the Vietnam War.

Military service members face a complex set of problems, risks, and deadly threats. Unfortunately, suicide is a regular threat for those who cannot cope with the mental and physical demands of military service, and suicide deaths are predicated by substance use in as many as 45% of army suicide attempts alone. After serving faithfully in the military, these problems do not simply go away with certificates or service medals; they carry on in the mental experience of those who transition from enlisted to veterans.

What to Do

It cannot be understated just how important dual diagnosis is among the military veteran community. However, dual diagnosis is only part of the problem. What can and should follow dual diagnosis is treatment. In this way, we should all be reminded of the crucial part we play, both in understanding and supporting the complexities of SUDs and mental health among our beloved veterans.

The better we understand the complex nature of what military veterans struggle with, the better we can support them in their recovery. Additionally, the better we understand the role of dual diagnosis among veterans, the more we can serve those who struggle with SUD and mental health conditions that have not yet received treatment. If you or someone you love is a veteran with an SUD and mental health issues, it is vital to seek out the medical help you need — medical help that takes the concept of dual diagnosis seriously.

This is shocking news to most Americans that the nation’s largest teachers’ union is promoting such material to America’s children.

Back in January 2010, The Gateway Pundit reported on Obama’s “Safe Schools Czar” Kevin Jennings. “Safe Schools Czar” Kevin Jennings and his organization GLSEN was encouraging children to meet adults in gay bars for sex. From our 2010 report: This story just gets freakier and weirder and the fact that the mainstream media completely ignores this dangerous man working in the Office of Safe and Drug-free Schools makes the story even more scandalous. You’d think the AP could peel away a few of its reporters from Going Rogue to investigate this radical czar. This avoidance by the democratic-media complex won’t keep us from reporting the truth. Our goal of protecting children is greater than our desire to protect a political party. Kevin Jennings’ was the founder, and for many years, Executive Director of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) until he left his post in 2008. GLSEN maintains a recommended reading list of books for children that the radical organization believes all kids should be reading. The books on the list promote all kinds of radical ideas from child rape, to first graders having sex to the joys of prostitution. Recently it was discovered that these books were not only on GLSEN’s reading list but that Kevin Jennings personally promoted several of these books during his career. One of the books he promoted encouraged children to go to gay bars for sex with adults to see if they like it.

Jennings had recommended these books himself in his 1994 high school reader Becoming Visible (published by porn publisher Alyson Books). On p. 278 in his Questions/Activities section for Chapter 17, he wrote:

Italy Election: Wealthiest Voted Left, Working and Middle Voted Right

Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy were the most popular party among workers and the middle class in last weekend’s election, while the wealthiest Italians, along with university graduates, were more likely to vote for left parties.

The Brothers of Italy (FdI) came first in last weekend’s elections with 26 per cent of the vote, winning nearly six million more votes than in the previous election in 2018, and according to a breakdown of voting by the firm Ipsos, the party managed to secure just over 30 per cent of the votes of lower-middle-class people amid strong numbers across all income ranges.

Among upper-middle-class people and university graduates, the left-wing Democrats were the most popular party, followed by Meloni’s FdI, the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera reports.

Nando Pagnoncelli, the head of Ipsos, commented on the breakdown of the voting saying, “These elections, even more than the previous ones, have shown how the traditional reference groups of each party have disappeared” and noted that among workers the Democratic Party,  the traditional left-wing party in Italy, had come in fourth place behind the FdI, the Five Star Movement and Matteo Salvini’s League.

While Meloni is likely to become Italy’s first-ever female Prime Minister, the number of female voters who voted for her party was slightly lower than the number of male supporters according to the analysis.

The data comes just days after it was revealed that the FdI and the centre-right coalition had broken through the so-called “red wall” of traditionally left-wing areas in regions like Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, beating Democratic candidates in areas that have been the heartland of the left in Italy for decades.

The centre-right coalition won a total of 29 single-member constituencies in the former “red wall” areas and three of the five single-member constituencies for the Italian Senate……

What’s happening in Iran is the biggest women’s rights protest ever in the Islamic world. Yet the response from some of the leading feminists in the United States, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib, has been resoundingly muted. It looks as if each one of these women regard Donald Trump as a far greater threat to women than the Islamic Republic of Iran is.

AOC tweeted on September 23: “Solidarity with the courageous women and allies in Iran protesting for their freedom. Mahsa Amini was senselessly murdered by the same patriarchal and autocratic forces repressing women the world over. The right to choose belongs to us all, from hijabs to reproductive care.” She also retweeted a tweet from Yassmin Abdel-Magid, a hijab-wearing Muslim writer in Australia: “To be (hijabi) or not be (hijabi) is the business of no state or man. Solidarity with women resisting patriarchal control, the world over.” Tlaib, meanwhile, retweeted AOC’s statement, and Omar retweeted Abdel-Magid’s. That’s it in terms of the public reactions of this trio to the uprising for women’s rights in Iran.

Neither AOC nor Abdel-Magid was going to come close to saying something about Islamic law, although that’s exactly what the protests in Iran are all about: women there don’t want to live under Islamic law anymore. But both are far too committed to the fictional concept of “Islamophobia,” and so they both made it all about patriarchy. That’s a much safer target for them, as patriarchy exists all over, not just in Iran, and not just among Muslims. So the very publicly practicing Muslims Omar and Tlaib could retweet their statements without fearing that they would be accused of criticizing Islam.

AOC also went farther, equating the mullahs of Tehran with the pro-lifers in the United States. They’re “the same patriarchal and autocratic forces repressing women the world over,” daring to interfere with “the right to choose” in the fields of both “hijabs” and “reproductive care.” It’s a spectacular feat of illogic to equate a regime that is mowing down its own people in the streets with a Supreme Court decision that allows the individual states to determine whether to legalize or outlaw abortion, but that sort of incendiary rhetoric is how AOC keeps her rabid Left base ginned up with the requisite outrage that will drive these drug-addled slackers to the polls and to take other “social action.”

Yet AOC’s comparison, as you would expect, falls apart upon a moment’s thought. Pro-lifers, or at least the Supreme Court Justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade, are just like the Supreme Leader and his cohorts in the Islamic Republic. They’re both “patriarchal and autocratic forces,” you see. But from what ideological wellsprings does Iran’s patriarchal autocracy spring? AOC doesn’t dare get close to that question, for it is one of her most cherished dogmas that Islam is a religion of peace that has nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism, and Muslims are victims of “Islamophobia” who must accordingly be given special consideration and accommodation. And allowing restrictions on access to abortion in some localities is, as far as AOC is concerned, equivalent to shooting women to death for daring to uncover their heads? The mind reels.

This is the same Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who in October 2020 took umbrage at then-President Trump referring to her as AOC in one of his debates with Old Joe Biden. “I wonder,” she wrote at the time, “if Republicans understand how much they advertise their disrespect of women in debates when they consistently call women members of Congress by nicknames or first names while using titles & last names when referring to men of = stature. Women notice. It conveys a lot. AOC is a name given to me by community & the people. Y’all can call me AOC.”

So the “community & the people,” i.e., Leftists, can call her AOC, but if Republicans do so, they “advertise their disrespect of women.” AOC didn’t even say that the mullahs were displaying any “disrespect of women.” You may recall Tlaib, meanwhile, back in 2016 screaming and yelling at a Trump rally, until she had to be escorted out. Has she ever gotten so enraged and emotional at the mullahs? Not publicly and likely not privately, either. For her part, Ilhan Omar claimed that Trump’s criticism of her was an attack on all women. Has she said that the murder of Mahsa Amini was an attack on all women? No.

Do Omar, Tlaib, and AOC just want the Iran protests to go away, because Iran’s repressive and bloodthirsty regime interferes with their “Islamophobia” narrative? Sure looks like it.
